it's quite entertaining to see other forums... people are so confident with their english you know... it doesn't matter if they're wrong. when proven otherwise, they start playing semantics.
I suppose. I think the same about people here in England who get kanji tatoos or have kanji painted on thier cars, even though they have no idea what it means. Like when one of the Spice Girls had 女力 tattooed on her arm. Made me feel sick.
lol i suppose you can say that about any foreign language but english is the most widely spoken language in the world and Japanese are lagging behind in learning this most commonly used language. and all because of engrish/japlish, making up their own meanings and usages. it's inexcusable... i say this with patriotism... does it show? (^^;)
it seems this topic will never be taken seriously it is a genuine and legitimate concern for me if anyone can point me in the right direction to where i can voice these concerns, please let me know
wonder why the leading role of "memoirs of a geisha" was NOT japanese... it's fine to revel within safe boundaries. but once again, "memoirs of a geisha"
btw, Ziyi Zhang is an exceptional actor. she's just wonderful in the movie.
