LIVERPOOL star Daniel Agger is set to make his mark in the culinary world after buying two Liverpool restaurants.
The Reds’ Danish defender has snapped up the eateries on Lark Lane in Aigburth.
They are Mexican nightspot Que Pasa and 52 Lark Lane.
The Danish international told the ECHO: “It’s true. I’ve recently bought two restaurants in Liverpool. One serves Mexican food, and the other Italian.
“They are both close to where I live, in a long street with plenty of bars and restaurants.”
Que Pasa should remain largely the same, but it is believed 52 Lark Lane might be turned into a Mediterranean restaurant called Tirano.
But the new owner insists he won’t allow his foray into the culinary world to take his eye off the ball.
He added: “I think it is really exciting to get into projects like these, but at the moment I only do it in my spare time. I don’t want it to overshadow my football.”
The 52 nightspot, which has faced uncertain times over the last couple of years, currently has live entertainment and a beer garden at the rear of the restaurant.
Agger, who has made 52 appearances for Liverpool since signing from Brondby for a fee of £5m in January 2006, already co-owns a pub in Hvidovre, Copenhagen, where he and his family have been regulars for years.
During holidays from his duties with Liverpool, the young Dane even does guest appearances behind the bar.
He said: “A lot of people probably already know that I like the environment because it is well known that my pub in Hvidovre means an awful lot to me.”
One pitch into Saturday's game, the Yankees' starting pitcher was already crumpled on the mound, writhing in pain. This, fans assumed, would not be an afternoon that ended well for the home team.
Subroutines are defined with the sub keyword, and invoked simply by naming them. Subroutine definitions may appear anywhere in the program. Parentheses are required for calls that precede the definition. foo(); sub foo { ... } foo; A list of arguments may be provided after the subroutine name. Arguments may be scalars, lists, or hashes. foo $x, @y, %z; The parameters to a subroutine need not be declared as to either number or type; in fact, they may vary from call to call. Arrays are expanded to their elements, hashes are expanded to a list of key/value pairs, and the whole lot is passed into the subroutine as one undifferentiated list of scalars.

こちらお願いします。 Venus arrives in your sign on Monday morning all set to be your loving consort for the next four weeks but while Venus can produce the odd miracle all by herself, she will do even better with your assistance. Put another way, if you want something to happen, now is the moment to take action. You may not get an immediate result - Mercury's retrograde passage will see to that - but you will be sowing seeds in fertile soil. There is also much to be said for the surprise attack... You tend to do things by the book, which means other people can successfully predict your movements. Isn't it about time you showed them who they're really dealing with?

できたらこちらもお願いします Perhaps the most important transit of the month is that of Venus, which will remain in your sign until 8th November. This planet made a previous visit between the 14th July and 8th August so you may find that a relationship that petered out in August regains its energy and passion or that your feelings which cooled for a project or plan return with a vengeance. When Venus transits your sign all her properties of harmony, love, beauty and balance stream into your existence so don't be surprised if you suddenly decide on a personal or domestic make-over, or you begin to notice just how many attractive people there are on the planet. During October Venus will angle Saturn (weekend of the 13th) Uranus (25th) and Jupiter (29th) all of which will bring out different facets of relationships. Venus-Saturn links reveal the weaknesses in partnerships and sometimes coincide with a decision to end the affair, albeit temporarily, yet this can also be a time when long-term bonds are made. Venus-Uranus aspects are exhilarating - they make for sudden attractions and overnight decisions regarding relationships. And last but not least Venus-Jupiter connections evoke the joy of love and are perfect for a kiss-and-make-up exercise or declaring your undying love for someone. Ah... What a perfect way to end the month

Man, though his body is insignificant and powerless in comparison with the great bodies of the astronomer's world, is yet able to mirror that world, is able to travel in imagination and scientific knowledge through enormous abysses of space and time. The boss of the A1GP series has confirmed that he is interested in buying the Formula One team Toro Rosso. Tony Teixeira, a South African businessman, this week reached a long-term deal with Ferrari for the supply of engines and car design consultancy for the so-called World Cup of Motorsport starting next year. A few days earlier, it was rumoured that Ferrari, supplier of customer engines to Faenza based Toro Rosso, was considering bolstering its alliance with the team by also supplying an identical chassis to effectively form a satellite outfit. It was also rumoured that Ferrari's recent talks with Teixeira involved a possible arrangement that he buy into Toro Rosso, which is currently co-owned by Gerhard Berger and Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and almost constantly linked with prospective buyers throughout the 2007 season. おねがいします。
こちらお願い致します。 For October 2007: You grab the reins and take control this month. You decide how fast or slow you want to go. You also decide whether certain people or circumstances are what you want or need. You think carefully about priorities, values and your own self-worth. Instead of judging yourself by how much you're able to do for others, you start to think of yourself as inherently valuable. You also pay more attention to self-preservation instead of brushing aside your own health, comfort and happiness, like you have so often in the past. You begin to see yourself as a strong, resilient, singular force of nature. You're not merely a reflection of whom you're with or what you do. You have value no matter what. This is an awkward theory for you to grasp at first, but keep trying until you get the hang of it. For some of you, it might take a good two years to sink in. A geographical cure may be in your immediate plans. In other words, some of you may consider relocating - not to run away or escape the status quo, but to secure a better opportunity. There's nothing 'desperado' about your decision. It's calculated, smart, and probably something you meant to do previously but got distracted. The current Saturn transit will help you eliminate nonessentials (like distractions) and hone in on top priorities. No one denies that you're dedicated -
but they haven't seen anything yet. Once you fully embrace Saturn, you'll become highly focused and specialized - and maybe the best at what you do. Will this process be easy? No way! But you don't have much respect for people or tasks that are drop down, rollover easy. Just like Capricorn, you love nothing better than to sink your teeth into a juicy challenge. You'll get a few during Saturn's stay in your sign. A New Moon on the 11th emphasizes money and value. How much value are you willing to place on your work and experience? No matter what you think you're worth, tack on a few more dollars. Stop underestimating your importance. On the same day, your ruling planet Mercury goes retro until November 1st. This may cause some travel/transportation delays and inconveniences. It may also delay correspondence and other important paperwork. Details may be forgotten or confused. It's just a three-week phase that strongly urges you to listen to your intuition and heart when logic and order seem to fail. Your career and personal life remain very busy - a flurry of activity throughout the month. Even if schedules are eviscerated and checks are late, you still have dozens of things to manage and attend to, just like always. The point is to get things done because you want to, not because you believe that you owe someone something. If anyone looks at you and says, "You OWE me," walk away.
Chances are, he or she owes you a lot more. Strip away negative, useless connections with people, theories or groups and start over as fresh and unfettered as possible. Don't look back during the next two years. You'll have enough to do without getting bogged down rehashing the past. On the 23rd, the Sun moves into your solar 3rd house, once again emphasizing movement, change, new phone numbers, addresses and titles. It's a positive, slightly overwhelming time. Your best strategy is to keep things lean, mean and simple. You don't need to take on additional burdens or rescue another self-destructive person. You may clash with another on the 25th. You'll most likely be pleasant and civil, but your opponent may seem outrageous and say or do almost anything to command your full attention. There comes a time when you need to separate from such people - and now might be that time. The 26th brings a strong .Full Moon that also suggests you consider cutting ties with someone who's more trouble than you can handle. You may benefit from a trip late in the month. Getting away from the usual routines might prove healing and very, very liberating. On Halloween, Neptune finally goes direct, strongly indicating that a change of career, school and/or residence is likely
お願いします Are you feeling the soothing balm of Venus in your sign? Well, this helpful planet may have had a run-in with Saturn recently that could have cooled a relationship or knocked your hopes into a cocked hat but this week she is at her loving best. While it may be too soon to try to rectify a recent upset it it the perfect time to mount a PR exercise intended to raise your professional profile or seize the attention of someone you would like to know better. There's also much to be gained by doing more research: you could find that you are better served by using or investing your money with a different organization and that statements made earlier do not reflect the current climate.

Tim said although this sort of thing happened quite a bit when he was first married and that it was very stressful for him, things changed after his family lived in the United States for a while.
Now that he and his wife have both spent time living in each other's countries, they know that give-and-take is important when it comesto cultural matters.
They are both more careful of each other's feelings when it comes to deciding how things ought to be done.
Right now Tim and his family are living in Japan, and I wondered if Tim had any problems with his Japanese name in his everyday life.

Sea jurneys to the Canary Isrands by migrants seeking to reach Europe have increased dramatically this year. After Morocco cracked down last autumn on throngs of West Africans seeking to eater the Spanish enclaves of Malilla and Ceuta on the Mediterranean, the migrants moved south to Muritania, choosing its northernmost port, Nouadhibou, as their departure point for the Canaries, Souri said.
In Marcn, when Spain began working with the Mauritanian authorities to make it more difficult for the migrants to leave, she said many headed south to Senegal and were now attempting to leave from the port of Saint-Louis in the north, from the fishing town of Mbour south of Darker, and other sites along the coast."In recent weeks, themigration has shifted southward as Spainhas increased surveillance and land routes have become lesspractical," Souri said. She said the Spanish were providing the Mauritanians with equipment while also increasing sea surveillance with their own ships.
In 1942, Italy was at war. Antonio was a soldier in the Italian army. He was in a small city in Tunisia. In this city, there was a hotel. The manager of the hotel was also Italian. Antonio often went to the hotel. He was a friend of the manager and his family. He liked to talk with them about Italy and about the end of the war. The manager's daughter, Sabrina, was 19. She was very beautiful. Antonio liked her very much and wanted to talk with her, but she didn't lile to soldiers. So Antonio watched her and waited. Then, one day, she smiled at him. He smiled at her, and they wanted to get married. But her parents said, "You can't get married now because of the war. You must wait." Soon the war was close to the city. One day,Antonio went to see Sabrina. He was very sad. "I must leave tomorrow with the army," he said. "The British army is going to be here soon." Sabrina cried and cried. Antonio cried, too. He was at the hotel with Sabrina and her family all night. He went away with the first light. Antonio and Sbrina stopped at the door for a last kiss. Then he walked away. At the end of the street, he looked back. Sabrina was didn't go well for the Italian army.

The doctor looked at Rudy and said, "This dog isn't sick. He's sad." Elena told Heinrich about Rudy. Heinrich said, "Give Rudy my hat." Elena went home with the hat. Rudy put his nose to the hat. He moved his tail. He ate some food and got up from the floor. but he didn't move away from the door. The next day he stopped eating again. Then Elena went to Heinrich's doctor. I first fell in love with social justice organizing in the summer of 1968. During the Democratic presidental convention that year,I was among thousands of college students who flocked to Chicago to protest U.S.involvement in the Vietnam War. We believe that America did not have a good reason to be fighting that war,and that many innocent people were losing their lives. While the protesters were mostly peaceful, the police rioted, chasing the demonstrators with tears gas and night sticks. When I got back home,I had trouble seeing, and I went to the eye doctor. "What have you done to these contact lenses?"he asked me. The tear gas had completely ruined them. But although my lenses were destroyed,my world vision had sharpened. I was committed to creating a fairer and more peaceful society,at home and around the world. The experience caused me to redirect my life.

A work like Trajan’s Column was considered fair game during the Middle Ages, even though its associations with the might and grandeur of the old Roman Empire should have secured its survival for the ages (fig. 6). And indeed the column suffered numerous mutilations with no one thinking of restoring it. That it remained in place at all was due mostly to a lingering Roman patriotism which never quite vanished, so that we might group the column, in however limited a degree, with intentional monuments even during the Middle Ages. Until the fourteenth century, the column was in constant danger of being sacrificed to some practical need. Only since the Renaissance has this danger been averted, although its ultimate fate is uncertain.

These analyses do not imply that people’s minds are blank slates, because humans possess facilities, such as for language, that develop in certain ways, given appropriate environments. Moreover, our critique of theorizing in evolutionary psychology is not meant to apply to evolutionary principles in general. Evolutionary reasoning pertaining to humans is diverse (Smith, 2000) and provides the basis, not only of evolutionary psychology, but also of models of the relation between biology and culture (Janicki and Krebs 1998 ) and human behavioral ecology approaches that emphasize behavioral variability in response to socioecological conditions (Cronk 1991).The implications of these other evolutionary theories for psychological processes have yet to be fully developed and are not discussed in this article.

He may catch the fever and die; we cannot help it; he must take his chance as other people do; but surely it would be desperate unkindness to add contumely to our self-protection, unless, indeed, we believe that contumely is one of our best means of self-protection. Again, take the case of maniacs. We say that they are irresponsible for their actions, but we take good care, or ought to take good care, that they shall answer to us for their insanity, and we imprison them in what we call an asylum (that modern sanctuary!) if we do not like their answers. This is a strange kind of irresponsibility. What we ought to say is that we can afford to be satisfied with a less satisfactory answer from a lunatic than from one who is not mad because lunacy is less infectious than crime. お願いします。
Huge numbers of unknown plants and animals are also in danger. The earth, according to various estimates, supports between 5 million and 80 million species. Of there, scientists have found and named only about 1.5 million. “Species,” says Dr.Lovejoy, “are disappearing before we have a chance to lean how they might benefit the rest of the planet.”
It is often possible to make known what one wants and what he is thinking about by means of gesture, without the use of words, and itmay be that men talked by signs before they used spoken language. There are many gestures which are still used to express ideas and which almost everybody understands. When one shakes his head on being asked a question we understand that he means NO, just as well as if he had spoken the word. Similarly if he nods in response to a question we understand that he means ,YES. But besides these two simple forms of answering a question we may express a great many other ideas by signs. Putting the first finger to the lips when someone is talking means KEEP QUIET just as clearly as if these words were spoken aloud.
No one can deny that human thirst for happiness is unquenchable. We all want more and more from life; seldom are we satisfied with what we have. There is hardly anyone content with his circumstances. Why is it so? What does it mean? To Sarkar, it means that human beings have a spiritual nature. They have needs that cannot possibly be satisfied by material objects. The human thirst for happiness is infinite, but material things are all finite; hence they can never quench the human thirst. Human beings all seek unlimited joy, but material objects, being limited, can never offer that. The limited cannot yield the unlimited. Only an infinite entity can satisfy the infinite human hunger for enjoyment. Spiritual activity is simply a pursuit of the infinite entity. The way Sarkar puts it, it is clear that spiritual needs are an integral part of human nature. This concept of spirituality is essential to an understanding of PROUT. おねがいします

One of the central themes of contemporary psychoanalytic theory, to which I shall return frequently in the following chapters, is the way language functions to disinherit the subject from a primary, would-be identification with itself, its image/ double, and with meaning.

和訳をお願いできませんか?もうイミフで・・・ The year is 1903.Two young men in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, have been working on a project day and night in a tiny shed. Finally, on an afternoon in August, they finish their work. The men lay down their tools and clean grease from their hands. One of them slides open the shed door as the other rolls their creation out into the Street. One of the partners has written the words “Harley-Davidson Motor Company” on the door of the shed. Now it is time to see how well their project performs. The small engine is fired up, and its noisy “chug-chug-chug” echoes up and down the once-quiet Milwaukee Street.
もし良かったらこの続きもお願いできませんか? William Harley, 21, and Arthur Davidson, 20, don’t know it yet, but they have just created an American icon. The first American motorcycle—really, a bicycle with a motor—was noisy and uncomfortable. When it roared around the Milwaukee streets, it seemed that its only purpose was to frighten horses and children. But both Harley and Davidson had faith that their motor-cycle would appeal to those who had an eye for a machine that offered fun, speed and adventure. Business was slow in the beginning. In its first two years of opera-tion, the Harley-Davidson Company sold just 11 handmade machines. But in 1906, their first production motorcycle went on the market. It was a four horsepower, one-cylinder machine that they named the “Silent Gray Fellow.” By the time the first one was finished model. Motorcycles quickly became popular. By 1909, more than 150 factories were turning out similar products. One year later, the number of motorcycle manufacturers had risen to 230. But William Harley and Arthur Davidson wanted to be number one. In 1920 the duo introduced a powerful new product, “The American Motorcycle.” This model quickly sold like hotcakes. In just one year, Harley-Davidson—once at two-person project worked on in a shed-became the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, with dealerships in 67 countries.
The dictionary does more than record. It also guides, perhaps nearly dictates. It informs anyone who uses it of the meanings which are generally attaches to words, and therefore informs readers, especially students, how they should use the word in future if they want to make themselves clearly understood. Changes usually gradual ones, are taking place the whole time, however, in the ways in which words are used. These changes are seldom deliberate, and may be due to a failure of education, to ignorance or stupidity, but once they have taken place, once it has become the general practice to use a word with a new, slightly changed meaning, all the editor of the dictionary can do is to record these changes. 長いですがどうかよろしくお願いします。

Speech is so familiar a feature of daily life that we rarely pause to define it. It seems as natural to man as walking, and only less so than breathing. Yet it needs but a moment's reflection to convince us that this naturalness of speech is but an illusory feeling. The process of acquiring speech is, in sober fact, an utterly different sort of thing from the process of learning walk. In the case of the latter function, culture, in order words, the traditional body of social usage, is not seriously brought into play. よろしくお願いします。
I saw the atomic bomb explode. It happened when I was only four years old. Nothing dreadful has happened to me since then. But I have never been happy, because Mommy was killed in the explosion. I remember those terrible days. Welived in Urakami in Nagasaki and had air raids every day. When the sirens began to blow,Mommy helped me put on my air-raid cap. She put a knapsack on my back and took me to the air-raid shelter. The shelter, which I always found dark and damp, was very small and full of mosquitoes. I could not play house there. But I was happy because Mommy held me tight during the terrible times. At other times, she was too busy. Lots of bombs fell near our house,so Daddy and Mommy decided to send Makoto, my brother, and me to koba. My grandma lived there. Her house was on a hill. On August 5, Mommy took us there and left us with my grandma.
Joint projects between companies can fall apart, even when there is a clear gain to both sides, simply because each partner feels the other is not shouldering a fair share. Insurance companies may exaggerate the costs of providing health care in order to increase premiums, and well-covered policy holders may claim non-existent illness in order to get a few days of paid vacation.
Just don’t bring me down. We have to get through. We are not trying toget it rihgt. We are just drying tohold it tight. just can't give you up. We have to get through.Nothing I can give in now. お願いいたします

On August 8, Mommy came to see us. That was the last time we saw her. She brought me the mompe she had just made for me. All of a sudden, we heard the air-raid sirens. Mommy hurried back to Urakami to see if everything was all right. Before she ran down the hill, she patted me on the head and promised, "Next time I'll bring tempura and manju." The next morning I missed Mommy, and so did Makoto. We desided to go to Urakami. We were just going out. Then the air-raid sirens started again. Soon we heard the sound of a plane. We were very disappointed because we had to give up going to Urakami. I started to play house on the engawa. Cicadas were making a lot of noise. All of a sudden, there was a great big flash. It was like lightning. I was very surprised. I didn't know what it was. There was a big noise, then came a strong wind, which almost blew me over. I lay down on my face and stayed there with my hands over my ears. After a while, I took my hands away from my ears. I couldn't hear the cicadas. They weren't singing any more. I opened my eyes and got up. Oh,my! What a terrible sight!
From the other side of the big green mountain, a great red pillar was sticking up into the sky. It was a big, big pillar of fire. The top of it was like a morning glory. Swelling and swelling, it went up and up, higher and higher, like smoke from a chimney, all the way up to the sky. First it was all red. Then it began to change into different colors. After a while, the colors weren't bright any more. The whole thing turned gray and spread all over the sky. The sun, which I looked up at through the cloud, was the color of something dead. It got dark―almost as dark as night―and cold, too. Pieces of burnt paper kept falling down out of the sky. I saw lots of black smoke coming from the other side of the mountain. My brother said, "Urakami's been hit!" We stood there watching the black smoke. After a little while, the cicadas began to sing again. Then it began to rain. The raindrops were big and greasy. They made dark spots on my dress. Since we were afraid of such a funny kind of rain, we went into the house.
Fujie and Sadako came along in the evening. Sadako was carrying Ritsuko on her back. I asked,"Where is Mommy? Is she coming later?" Fujie didn't answer but just took me in her arms and cried and cried. Ritsuko was laid down on the tatami. She couldn't get up and play with me. She just lay there. Sadako put her arms around Ritsuko, but Ritsuko kept crying, "Oh, my back hurts! Mommy! It hurts!" But nobody knew where her mother was. Ritsuko had purplish marks all over her. Sadako said a pile of dirt had fallen on Ritsuko in the air-raid shelter. Poor Ritsuko! She couldn't eat anything. She just kept crying,"Water, water, please." Early the next morning Fujie went back to Urakami. My brother and I were waiting and waiting for Mommy. I couldn't understand why she didn't come with the tempura and the manju. But the tempura and the manju were not what I really cared about. I just wanted to be with Mommy again. Fujie showed up. She said, "Poorlittle Kayano," and she began to cry. I couldn't under stand why Mommy wasn't with her.I said, " Where is Mommy? Couldn't you find her?" "Everybody's dead, everybody," Fujie said.

Denied the right to practice her talents, Fanny married a respectable gentleman and attempted to forget about writing music. She became depressed, however, when she could not compose. When she attempted to publish some of her work, Felix talked her out of it, writing to their mother, "She is far too self-respecting a woman for that;she sees to her house and thinks not of the public." At the age of forty Fanny finally went against her brother's wishes and published some of her work, which was well received by critics. Unfortunately, she died suddenly two years later. Wracked by guilt,Felix had more of her work published before he died only six monthslater.

Sorry I can't read a long English sentence. :-( I think that you say about the Internet use of American young people. But I can't answer for your question, because I don't understand English. :-(
The gradual change of signification in words is a universal feature of human language ; and it is not difficult to see why it is so. Even the richest vocabulary must, in the nature of things, be inadequate to represent the inexhaustible variety of possible distinctions in thought. We can meet the continually occurring necessities only by using words in temporary deviations from their ordinary senses. The dullest and most prosaic persons do this, of necessity and often unconsciously ; those who have wit and imagination do it more freely and more effectively. Very often these novelties of meaning do not survive the temporary occasion which gave them birth ; but when a new application of a word happens to supply a generally felt want it becomes a permanent part of the language, and may in its turn, by a repetition of the same process, give rise to other senses still more remote from the original meaning. Sometimes the primary sense remains in use along with the senses derived from it ; sometimes it dies out, so that the word has exchanged its old meaning for a number of new ones.
24% of Americans believe that the Internet is able for a time to replace them with a loved one. For obvious reasons, such sentiments particularly prevalent among residents of the United States alone. Both men and women can replace the beloved, beloved trips to the World Network. However, the willingness to such transactions vary among followers of different ideologies: conservatives frowned relate to this idea, and the "progressive-minded" on the contrary, Nerkarat it. Study company Zogby International also showed that every fourth resident of the United States have their own representation in the web-site or internet-stranichka. Only 11% of Americans would agree implantable microchip in his brain, which would provide them with direct contact with the Internet. But the situation is changing, in the case of children. Almost every fifth resident of the United States would agree to equip their child safety device which would allow him to track the movement in space on the Internet. 10% of U.S. stated that the Internet brings them to God. " In turn, 6% are convinced that because of the existence of the World Wide Web God away from them.
Sorry but it's too hard for me to understand a long comment in English like yours.:-( I can guess your comment is about the Internet use of young American, though. I'm afraid I can't answer your question because as I said, I don't understand English. :-(

The sad truth is that this images is the most ludicrous possible distortion of computer-based research aimed at understanding how cognition and sensation take place in minds.
Because we are a nation of peoples from all the other nations of the world it should not be surprising that we have some of the best thinkers ever. Among the philosophers that I have listened to have been Fulton J Sheen, the Scarecrow (from the pen of Frank Baum), and Mr. Lawrence Berra of St. Louis. Mr. Berra said, "You'd be surprised at what you can see just by keepin your eyes open." I have kept my eyes open and have seen that "The Bronx" thought so much of your family that they named a whole section of that borough after it. I have often been in the "Stone Bridge" section. Thank you. I have just put together another list. "Grown-ups I met around 1939". Fulton Sheen, Ray Bolger, and Hanako Satou. I met each with my mother. The best known by face was Ray Bolger, an actor on Broadway and Hollywood, who played the Scarecrow. We often met Mr. Bolger up the street in the fruit store in the middle of Manhasset. お願いします。
When I saw "The Wizard of Oz" I yelled out, "Mr. Bolger" when he showed up at the intersection of the yellow brick road. Father Sheen was a renowned speaker when my parents asked him to come out to our town to speak at a fund-raising event of our church. He went on to have a prime time television show by making philosophy easy to understand. Mrs. Satou was the center of what the ladies of our town called, "the alimony club" because all the husbands had a crush on her. Hanako was a tennis coach and as beautiful a lady as I have ever seen. Dad was one of her best students, rising from never holding a racket to club champ of our three town area. (Mrs. Satou was the wife of the leading diplomat from Japan to the New York area of America in the years before WWII.) Just as it seems incongruous to have an intersection of one road Mr Berra said, "If you come to a fork in the road, take it". He has many Japanese friends like Hidieki Matsui. They both have worked for the same company, The Yankees. He is one of the few men of the world who needs only one name to identify him, "Yogi". I need to get ready for my day of work and a workout with two runners who want to run "200s". A third friend, Kemeko Ishibashi, will say, "I'm not ready" (Kemeko was second in her age group in the New York marathon and a much faster runner than any of us*).

I hope your day went well at school. Am I right to assume that your paper will be distributed to a team of professors and then you will have to defend your ideas before them? I think it is don thus in American schools. By now you know that I kid around quite a bit. Life would be too long if it were all serious. I came home to a kitchen window full of frenetic activity. I have three bird feeders just outside. One cannot count the birds because by the time you count to five ten are gone and ten new ones take their places.

Professor Tore Ellingsen,a member of the prize-awarding Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, explained: "One very rich area of application is regulation theory, where we now see that regulation theory is being re-written on the basis of this work, and to some extent implemented,"he said. "In countries like the UK,we see mechanism design theory being applied not only for setting up the trading mechanisms for the de-regulated industries, but also to regulate the remaining monopolists.
Bush Presses China over Currency President George W. Bush has urged the Chinese president to do more to close the US-China trade gap, and to take a sterner line with Iran and North Korea.
There were no breakthroughs at talks in Washington, though President Hu Jintao said China would "continue to take steps" to revalue China's currency.
A speech by President Hu at the White House was disrupted by a protester from the Falun Gong religious sect.
President Bush later said he regretted the "unfortunate incident."

It would not necessarily have helped Germany's balance of trade (which was already in surplus by 1931) or balance of payments since it would have made payment more expensive and provided no guarantee that demand for German goods was likely to revive given the general nature of the trading and financial crisis. To have worked it would have required that other countries stopped devaluing competitively and reduced tariffs at the same time, which they were clearly unwilling to do. By contrast, a comparatively over-valued mark did have the advantage of marking it progressively easier to pay off international debt and of reducing import prices, particularly of raw materials. In the political and economic context of the depression all policies carried advantages and disadvantages. There was no easy Keynesian answer to the crisis.
Multiply one "pachin" by thousands of balls rushing through hundreds of machines. And you have quite a din. But add the everpresent John Philip-style martial music played at eardum-shatterring volume. And you have an auditory environment that even the most handened riveter would find intolerable.
Warmer temperatures allow mosquitoes that transmit diseases such as malaria and dengue fever to extend their ranges and increase both their biting rate and their ability to infect humans.

The protective, kindly figure has been replaced by a dangerous and destructive creature. It is this exchange of figures which makes the story particularly alarming. To meet a wolf unexpectedly is frightening enough, but to find that one is loving grandmother has turned into this terrifying beast is to add to the situation that basic insecurity which springs from a sudden loss of trust in a person upon whom one relies.
By peering from the catwalks at 1,600 shoppers, researchers for Marsh Supermarkets unearthed a troubling trend:
People heavily shopped the periphery of the store-- the produce, dairy, and meat sections-- but frequently circumvented the core dry-goods section that takes up the bulk of store space. The Indiana store chain's inner aisles drew only 13 to 30 percent of traffic, while the periphery accounted for as much as 80 percent.
What many consumers may not realize, though, is just how big a business ice cream has become around the world. The days of mom-and-pop parlors and local brands are fading fast. Today, the $59 billion ice cream industry is dominated by two global giants: Switzerland's Nestle and Anglo-Dutch conglomerate Unilever. Together, they control more than one-third of the worldwide market.and half of ice cream sales in the U.S..and they're looking to expand as they move into developing regions in Asia and Latin America.

The Classical concerto, featuring a solo instrument in competition with the orchestra, grew from the Baroque solo concerto. Its three movements correspond to the movements of the wymphony, but without the minuet. The first movement, though, is in a modified sonata form, which begins with a 'double exposition': one exposition for the orchestra alone, presenting the main musical material all in the tonic key; followed by the entry of the soloist and a second exposition, now with the second subject group in the related key. A composer often holds back one or more themes from the first exposition in order to add interest and variety when these are introduced during the second.

The female protester-identified as Wenyi Wang-an accredited journalist with the Epoch Times newspaper-yelled out from the media section during Mr. Hu’s speech.
“President Hu, your days are numbered. President Bush, make him stop persecuting Falun Gong,” she shouted, in reference to the outlawed Chinese spiritual movement.
After shouting for several minutes, she was led away by White House security staff. The newspaper-which is understood to be supportive of the Falun Gong movement-later issued an apology.

Rich Pretax Margins Neither Nestle nor Unilever had nearly so much presence in ice cream two decades ago. But starting in the 1990s, both began aggressive acquisition campaigns. In 2001, Nestle obtained the rights to sell Haagen-Dazs in the U.S. and Canada from General Mills, which owns the brand and sells it in the rest of the world. Nestle also bought Dreyer's and Swiss maker Movenpick. Unilever gobbled up Ben & Jerry's in 2000 for $326 million and also acquired Breyers Ice Cream. Today, Nestle boasts a 17.5% share of the world market, while Unilever is close behind with 16%. The rest of the market is highly fragmented: The No. 3 maker in the U.S., Wells' Dairy, has just 5% share. Other marques of note around the world are General Mills, Baskin-Robbins (a unit of Dunkin' Brands), and Japan's Lotte, which remains No. 1 at home. China's top maker, Inner Mongolian Yili Industrial Group, has 17% domestic market share and will be the sole dairy sponsor for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
What makes geisha's training so difficult isn't simply the arts she must learn, but how busy her life becomes. After spending all morning in lessons, she is still expected to do housework during the afternoon and evening very much as she always has. And still, she sleeps no more than three to five hours every night. During these years of training, if I'd been two people my life would probably still have been too busy... Some of my duties were given to the maids, but most days I was responsible for more than I could imagine, while still being expected to practice shamisen for an hour or more during the afternoon. In winter, I was made to toughen up my hands by holding them in ice water until I cried from pain, and then practice outside in the ice-cold air. I know it sounds terribly cruel, but it's the way things were done back then. And in fact, toughening the hands in this way really did help me play better. You see, stage fright drains the feeling from your hands; and when you've already grown accustomed to playing the shamisen with hands that can't feel and are miserable, stage fright presents much less of a problem.
Sometimes, however, the duty of disclosure ceases as soon as the parties are bound as a matter of buisiness, even though there is as yet no binding contract . But often relief for misrepresentation which relate to a matter of only minor importance will not be available because of the reauirement that the misrepresentation must be material .This means that the misrepresentation must relate to a fact which would influence a reasonable person in deciding whether or on what terms to enter into the contract.:for example ,on a sale of land a representation that the land yielded an annual rent of $4,000 when the actual rent was only $3,000 , would be material, but one that the vendor's age was 40 when in fact it was 30 would not be material.

Mr. Bush urged Mr. Hu to take action over the yuan. US producers say its low value is a barrier to exports to China, and has contributed to the massive US trade deficit with China-which reached $202 billion last year. Mr. Bush said: "We would hope there would be more appreciation of the currency." Mr. Hu said: "We have taken measures and will continue to take steps to resolve the issue," though he did not give any details.
It was almost another hundred years, however, befor it was settled that in return for the awared of a patent, the inventor was required to specify details of the manner in which the invention functioned ,and not until the enactment of the Patent Act 1902 that even a rudimentary from of examination of patent applications was made with a view to establishing novelty.
The role of the patent system piayed a significant part in the ongoing struggles between the Monarchy and Parliament. In 1687,the last Stuart King was forced into exile and Mary and William of Orange were invited to take the thone. In the effort to establish its own supremacy and to guard against the possibility of future abuses, the Statute of Monopolies was enacted by Parliament in 1623. This rendered illegal all monopolies except those: ...for the team of 14 years or under hereafter to be made of the sole working or making of any manner of new manufactures within this Realm to the true and first inventor; monopolies should not be `contrary to the law nor mischievous to the State by raising prices of commodities at home or hurt of trade'.
Just as playing chess depends upon participants sharing the same basic set of rules for the operation of its pieces, so language is conventions for the operation of its symbols. We make sense to each other when we speak, only in so far as we share the same abstract set of underlying conventions.

But certiorari will only be granted for "special and important reasons" and the fact that the decision below is erroneous is not such a reason. Circumstances that may influence the Court togrant certiorari include the existence of a conflict in decisions among federal courts of appeals for different circuits ,or between a decision by a state court on a federal queston and the decision of the Supreme Court itself. While the bulk of the cases disposed of annually by the Court consistes of requests for certiorari, it grants only about five percent of these and rejects the remainder as unsuitable for review.

Just as modern democracy implies that everyone has a voice and a vote, organizing−whether for nations, communities or larger principles−begins with an idea:that ordinary people can work together to make their lives better. Histrically, most decisions ware made by the rich,by property-holders,and by men−and the powerless had to rely on the charity and advocacy of the more enlightened power-holders. However,in the past centuries−and into the present day−organizers are working to unite traditionally powerless groups of people to challenge that order and change the realities of their daily lives. And,as a young woman growing up in America in the 1960s,I found that idea irresistible.I decide to become an organizer too. 長いですがよろしくおねがいします

Litigation in American courts often involves complex problems of accommodation of state and federal law. In either a state or federal court, an action based on a right derived from state law may be met by a defense based on federal law,or conversely one based on federal law may be met by a defense based on state law .The federal courts are thus frequently called upon to apply state law, and while the problem of giving effect in one jurisdiction to the laws of another is not peculiar to American federalism, the role of state law on the federal courts has had aunique histry..

At 4:00 a.m. I got up and did silk winding.... I only went home once a week. I slept in the factory with two or three other children. We prepared our food there and slept in the space between the machines. The owner provided the rice and cut it from our wages—he would deduct the price. We cooked the rice ourselves. We worked twelve hours a day with one hour for rest. If I made a mistake—if I cut the thread—he would beat me. Sometimes [the owner] used vulgar language. Then he would give me more work.

I know of the rigors of working toward a graduate degree. There are periods when you must devote every thought to your thesis. I need not to interfere with that process. I will spend a little time with my oldest son and his family on Saturday but next Tuesday I will drive to North Carolina to my younger daughter's new home and all my children and their children will assemble and spend a couple of days together.Work hard and get that degree so we can move on to the next phases of our lives.
706さんありがとうございます。 お願いします You always make a good argument and your fine mind can get around the most complex issues but sometimes your words fall on deaf ears and your efforts to make progress are frustrated. However, the wind has changed and you can have real impact now. Someone who has been resistant to your ideas is opening up to you, and although you may not achieve your objectives in one fell swoop you will be on your way. Saturday's full moon brings to a close a major or minor chapter, thus enabling you to focus on creating new structures, both in relation to your career and life goals but also family life.
お願いします It might feel as though you're hanging off a career or financial cliff this week. The run into Saturday's Full Moon is likely to be volatile with many shocks and surprises. Announcements made on Monday might require you to rethink a position. By Tuesday, your apparent prevarication could create difficulties in a partnership. Even those closest to you might not be quite sure what it is that you want. Of course, it may be that you simply need to know 'what could go wrong'. Once that position is established, confidence could quickly return. True, there might still be moments on Thursday when you're not sure if others are telling you what you want to hear rather than what you need to know. On Friday though, and anchored by someone who really does seem to have their finger on the pulse, empowerment is possible. In fact, you might then feel it's entirely appropriate to ask for the weekend to think through your position.

Without questioning the assumption that we are in the midst of a crisis, I should like to ask whether this feeling of crisis is not something inseparable from human life in any historical period.

With the rise of the teenager, girls got what they demanded: clothes that were uniquely teen, from the same designers who were making clothes for older women or from designers who specialized in teen-only fashins.」

すみません、かなり急ぎです。お願いします。 (Reuters) - Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh are marking their 60th wedding anniversary with a service of celebration at London's Westminster Abbey.
Here are five facts about the royal couple:
* Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip first met when they attended the wedding of Prince Philip's cousin, Princess Marina of Greece, to The Duke of Kent, who was an uncle of Princess Elizabeth, in 1934.
* Prince Philip had two stag parties the night before his wedding -- the first at the Dorchester Hotel to which media were invited and the second with his closest friends at the Belfry Club.
* The Royal couple received more than 2,500 wedding presents from well-wishers around the world. From India, there was a piece of crocheted, cotton lace made from yarn personally spun by Mahatma Gandhi. The central motif read "Jai Hind" (Victory for India).
* The Duke of Edinburgh is only one of a few consorts to reigning Queens in British history. William III was co-Sovereign with Mary II, although she, as daughter of James II, was nearer the throne than he. The husband of Queen Anne was not given the title of King, but remained Prince George of Denmark. Prince Albert was created Prince Consort by Queen Victoria in 1857.
* On Tuesday November 20, the actual day of their wedding anniversary, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will travel to Malta where they lived as a young married couple from 1949-51 while The Duke was stationed there as a serving Royal Naval officer.

Behavioral researchers have blurred or changed the boundaries between work and social life and between personal and public life. Cell phones have also increased users' propensity "micromanage their lives, to be more spontaneous, and therefore ,to be late for everything" according to Leysia Palen, computer science professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
The social experiences and values of the old and the young hane always been in conflict; if younger people did not question the advice and beliefs of their parents, little change or progress would ever occur. But with the accelerating speed of change in modern times, the conflicts between members of diffirent generations, or between those people anxious to adjust to change and those less inclined to do so, were in danger of bocoming more harmful than helpful. Furthermore, the very phrase by which these conflicts are described, the generation gap, was becoming out of date.
It was a good conversation we had the other night, I felt we were connecting in a more intimate way than before. I wanted you to know that I am very interested in progressively getting to know you more and more deeply. I experience you as very complex woman, you continually surprise me in conversation. The differences we spoke about in cultures regarding disclosure and open-ness of information and feelings, thats a peculiar thing.. I am going to make a point of speaking about that in the future, because it is a field of communication that has to be understood because of the possibility of wrong interpretation. In other words, what lack of disclosure means to you might mean something very different to me, and my open-ness may feel intrusive or uncomfortable to you...so, I think it is an important aspect of relatedness to be aware of. Id like to know more of your thoughts on that subject...
Well, I finished my Japanese intensive course yesterday. I do not know if working in a class situation is the best way for me. 17 people yelling out the wrong answer at the same time... It was very distracting and even things i knew in japanese I would forget because of the noise of all the other people trying to find the answers.when I spoke to the teacher after class, I was able to speak in japanese mush more fluently. Also, because I had played music on friday night I was so, so tired. My brain would not work! It was the strangest sensation. You know I kind of pride myself on my intellect, so it was humbling to not be able to understand the directions of the exercise, and blank out when asked a question. It was a new experience for me. But I really learned a lot and I was extremely impressed with the teacher..she was incredibly energetic and inspiring. She really knew how to run a beginners class. By the end we were speaking Japanese! So, all in all a good experience, but for me a little humbling too... but thats not a bad thing.
So I have 2 contacts now in the music business in Japan. I heard from a another guy, who has a small record company of his own, and worked for Sony music publishing for 15 years..That is exactly what I was looking for, because if i don't have success as a performing artist, I want to distribute my songs to other singers in Japan. It actually doesnt matter to me which way it goes... As a performer I prefer to do jazz, as a writer Im a good pop writer.. .so ideally, Id like to do both, and I think Id like to do it in Japan..So this guy knew me from my old albums and was thrilled to have contact with me. Im going to send him "Before Me" today in the mail. The first guy I knew, Makoto, he wrote me telling me he liked my album but thought it was alittle too soft and slow. that doesnt matter to me, beause soft and slow is actually what I do best as a songwriter. But the good news is he also liked a lot of the songs and is going to contact some people he knows at AdLib magazine...do you know that music magazine? Its the biggest one in Japan..so we shall see what develops. I must admit its a little exciting. (Not quite as exciting as your pictures, but exciting nonetheless!)
Today is the first snow fall of the year... Im sitiing here at 8:10 gozen, watching the snow fall on the woods in the back of my house..very beautiful, but time is such an elusive thing, it is astonishing that the year is almost over, and that winter is upon us again.Hope you are not too cold.. I would be happy to warm you up if only I could...
I think I will try this meditation retreat over the next few days.. Its a good thing to do once or twice a year. They vary very much, some are good, some are weird so I have to see the nature of this one. I wont do all the 7 days, I have things to take care of her. One thing is my classical piano, I have to get going on these pieces. I respect my teacher Miyoko so much that I want to play well for her. .sounds funny, but thats the effect of a great teacher. Im working on Ravel and Mendelsohn now, and I know she wants to move me into Bach and Chopin..she's considered an expert on Chopin. Im very fortunate to have her as a teacher, and I think also as something of a friend, tho thats a little premature at this point. She engenders feelings of deep respect and somthing in the nature of love, actually. Not romantic love obviously, but love that they call agape, love of the person. She really is a warm and beautiful soul...
At the end of that road is a five hundred year old Inn built where hot water gushes from the ground. It has a bathtub big enough for the whole family and all your friends too. Don't get that face cloth in the water, put it on top of your head. None of the men looked at the naked lady but all even the lady stared at the man with no hair and blue eyes.
Of course you would climb cliffs with those beautiful mountains with roads that allow only one car to pass and if you meet another coming the other way, someone backs up to find a nitch in the mountain wall so the other can go around. Don't feed the beautiful gray monkeys or they will become just beggars and not gather the food that is there in nature.
Is the letter--a series of switched circuits in a microcomputer memory--ready for mailing. Not quite. You'll want some paper copies for later use, so you send an electronic copy to a nearby“Smart”copier, then save the letter on the magnetic-disk recorder built into your machine. The copier, meanwhile, displays your letter on its CRT and enables you to select the type font you want. Dial in the number of copies, push RUN, and the CRT image of the oetter is converted to light that charges a light-sensitive drum; the drum transfers toner to paper just like many conventional copiers.
What a great place to grow up! Buckwheat grows in abundance and the noodles from it are made as you watch and then cooked before your eyes; then eaten with a lot of slurping. When an Englishman feels that he is ridiculous, he does not enjoy the discovery any more than other people, but he has the courage to admit that he is ridiculous, and to admit it, not only to other people, but to himself. Moreover, humor is closely allied to another of the inherent characteristics of the Englishman, his deep-rooted habit of understatement, which must not be confused with irony, for it is something very different. In moments of crisis the sense of humor gives him that quiet courage without a smile but with the mere suggestion of one at the corners of the month. It comes out in the grocer who is not content to announce that his shop, of which the front has been bombed, will carry on “business as usual,” but puts up “more open than usual.”
@I truly believe that, given the stability of the japanese workplace, and the japanese concern for human relations, the influx of women into business could make japan a model industrial society.
As news comes to light, it might seem to you that a partner has been withholding vital facts. In the first instance you could feel dissatisfied with your relationship and might even end up losing your temper! However, once you've been able to talk through the situation, you may find that it's not quite as bad as you first thought! Indeed, you might even agree that had you had the information in the first place you wouldn't have acted as you did: and that your actions have had benefits! お願いいたします
The resolution after days of haggling among council members requires all U.N. member states to stop imports and exports of any material or funds relating to the reclusive communist nation's missile programs or weapons of mass destruction.
The measure also demands North Korea "suspend all activities related to its ballistic missile program," and re-establish a moratorium on the launching of missiles.
The 15-member Security Council had wrangled for 10 days over the response to North Korea's seven missile tests on July 5, which raised international tensions.
This is the 37th time I have spoken to you from this office, where so many decisions have been made that shape the history of this nation. Each time I have done so to discuss with you some matter that I believe affected the national interest. In all the decisions I have made in my public life I have always tried to do what was best for the nation.
これもお願いします。続きです。 Throughout the long and difficult period of Watergate, I have felt it was my duty to persevere -- to make every possible effort to complete the term of office to which you elected me. In the past few days, however, it has become evident to me that I no longer have a strong enough political base in the Congress to justify continuing that effort. As long as there was such a base, I felt strongly that it was necessary to see the constitutional process through to its conclusion; that to do otherwise would be unfaithful to the spirit of that deliberately difficult process, and a dangerously destabilizing precedent for the future. But with the disappearance of that base, I now believe that the constitutional purpose has been served. And there is no longer a need for the process to be prolonged.
If we were to think of the entire span of human existence thus far as a day, agriculture would have come into existence at 11.56 p.m. and civilizations at 11.57. The developwent of modern societies would get under way only at 11.59 and 30 seconds!
no..u're just a different japanese... u're accustomed to western life and western mind... it's just long time i've seen this in japanese people... they tend to make "small groups" of japanese only, excluding others.. i lived in japan for 2 years and more... i never said i understand japanese culture at 100%... i respect absolutely and i try to act like they told me to do... but it seems like they don't like when a "gaijin" is trying to understand them... it's hard to understand i know..but u're different... u know jokes,u know how to talk,u know many western things.. but some japanese people are really close and they don't accept another friendship... for example..i have these 3 friends..2 guys and one girl... they live between genova and milano for working... when we hang out they ALWAYS speak japanese... and i understand 50%... but when we are with our italian friends,i always speak italian because i think it's unpolite to speak a different language if u don't understand... like if i'm in japan with u and i speak italian... u say "u're crazy?...why u don't let me understand?"...
ok..this is war... i'll keep studying japanese... hahahaha...

Thanks to shoter working hours, more working mothers and values that are slowly but surely changing, Japan's“thirtysomethings”are leading the way in redefining fatherhood. The infamous chichioya fuzai―absentee dad―is slowly giving way to younger fathers trying to balance work and home lives. よろしくお願いします。

(中略) The sooner a consumer throws away the object he has bought and buys another, the better for the producer. At the same time,of course, the producer must do his bit by producing nothing but the most perishable articles."The man who builds a skyscraper to last for more than forty years is a traitor to the building trade" The words are those of a great American contractor.Substitute moter car, boot, suit of clothes, etc.,for skyscraper, and one year, three months, six months, and so on for forty years, and you have the gospel of any leader of any modern industry.

In response to North Korea's comments on the resolution, U.S. Ambassador John Bolton said Pak had "set a world record in rejecting it within 45 minutes after its adoption."
"The council has acted swiftly and robustly in response to the reckless and condemnable act of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea," said Japan's Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shintaro Ito.
Now therefore, while the youthful hue Sits on the skin like morning dew, And while the willing soul transpires At every pore with instant fires, Now let us sport us while we may; Rather at once our time devour, Than languish in his slow-chapp’d power Let us roll all our strength, and all Our sweetness, up into one ball; And tear our pleasures with rough strife Thorough the iron gates of life. Thus, though we cannot make our sun Stand still, yet we will make him run.

Dorothea's nature was of that kind: her own passionate faults lay along the easily counted open channels of her ardent character; and while she was full of pity for the, visible mistakes of others, she had not yet any material within her experience for subtle constructions and suspicions of hidden wrong. But that simplicity of hers, holding up an ideal for others in her believing conception of them, was one of the great powers of her womanhood. And it had from the first acted strongly on Will Ladislaw. He felt, when he parted from her, that the brief words by which he had tried to convey to her his feeling about herself and the division which her fortune made between them, would only profit by their brevity when Dorothea had to interpret them: he felt that in her mind he had found his highest estimate. よろしくおねがいします。
At the same time, the lingering recession has motivated firms to scale back overtime and entertainment expenses, cutting down on after-work drinking bouts. And the government has launched a deliberate campaign to shorten work hours in the face of international criticism. よろしくお願いします。
