Daily Press Briefing Tom Casey, Deputy Spokesman Washington, DC April 26, 2007
INDEX: JAPAN Report Regarding WWII Brothels in Japan
QUESTION: Sort of a bit off regular topics, but the AP had a story yesterday touting it as news and I'm wondering if it's news to you. But they did an investigation saying that the comfort women in Japan after the war, actually some of them stayed in those brothels and were probably use of the American soldier there -- some soldiers there. I'm wondering if you've heard that those comfort women, who had been such an issue in the past several months because of the Prime Minister's comments, if the Americans actually knew about those brothels and if they -- some of the soldiers used those brothels after the war.
MR. CASEY: It's nothing I've ever heard about. Certainly nothing I've ever seen, but you might want to check the Department of Defense. I think that they would have records of, you know, issues related to U.S. military presence there. But, no, it's not a story I'm familiar with.
◇Free Diversified Aspects Masayuki Takayama Professor, Teikyo Uiversity ▼Negligence Mr.Kun-Tsan Tsai, author of 'Taiwanese and Japanese spirit', was an army special volunteer. He was in the deep mountain in Kyoto at the end of the World War II. He wrote the chaos from the end of the war to the end of that year when he returned to Taiwan. They became the "victory nation" overnight and were offered superfluity of food. He made grilled rice balls for starved children. He sometimes went "all the way to Kyoto station" to hand them out to children. "At one time he saw the people handing out the naval thermal vests to children. Then he talked to them and found they were Taiwanese volunteer as he was." However Koreans, who had been in the force he had belonged, "in a group broke into and robbed food and clothe warehouses." "They were domineering to beat dispirited Japanese while saying they were the victory nation." Japanese prepared the special trains for the victory nation. An entire vehicle was provided for even a few passengers. They the victory nation called a stationmaster or a person in charge when they found blunders by Japanese, then assaulted them by beating and kicking. Sadanori Shimoyama, a director of the traveler bureau, was one of those were gang bashed by them and he was seriously injured to the testicle explosion. The repatriation program for this victory nation was done on the order of GHQ. F.Roosevelt who had died four months before the end of the war left the will saying "confine all Japanese in four islands and destroy them". As they wanted to destroy only Japanese, unrelated people as Koreans etc. had to be banished.
- 2/3 - At this time all Koreans who had come to Japan by so called "requisition" were supposed to return to their country. However in fact all of them did not return. Ho-Gyu Lim wrote how they were in those days in 'The third country poeple's commercial code'. "The third country people is a term referring to Koreans in Japan during the prewar and the postwar days. Most of them dreamed the success in Japan and came across the sea during the period of confusion before and after the World War II." Their occupations were "such that they were able to get the cash, as a rag collector, a pachinko parlor or a sex parlor etc." Another important cash business was a crime syndicate. The story of N.Zapetti who ruled the dark world of the postwar days and started selling chewing gums is described in 'Tokyo under world'. In this story, Japanese rejected chewing gums which were not their preferences. He tied up with a crime syndicate and made them threaten storekeepers to sell gums. Therefore the chewing gum culture was established in Japan. This crime syndicate was Toseikai that grew up rapidly after the war and its all members were Koreans. There are about 500,000 Korean residents now in Japan. 1650 among them are in prison. This number follows to that of Chinese in prison, which is 2000 among total 250,000 people. The rate of Koreans receiving public assistance is 48 per 1000 people. Compared with the rate of Japanese that is 12 per 1000 people, it's as much as four times higher. They came to Japan with success dreams but are now nothing but trouble. To deal with the increasing crimes by foreigners, the Ministry of Justice issues a "residence card" in which a person's name and address etc. are written in an IC. However, according to the report from Asahi Shinbun, "Koreans are not included" in those "foreigners".
- 3/3 - I get an impression as "Ploughing the field and forgetting the seeds" from that fact. Koreans in Japan receive shameless preferential treatments any other foreigners don't. For instance, if foreigners except Koreans are arrested for prostitutions, drugs or crimes that lead to one or more years of penal servitude, they will be immediately expatriated. Only they will not be expatriated as long as they commit crimes that lead to the seven or more years of penal servitude as homicide. They explain the reason for this is their history. In plain words, Japan owes them because they are descendants of abducted people. Thus they take this preferential treatment for granted. However, the abduction by army is a fabrication made up by Kyung-Sik Park. They are the descendants of people who came to Japan before and after the war, and squatted as Ho-Gyu Lim described. There is no reason that they are distinguished from other foreigners and receive preferential treatment at all. But sensible Japanese did not say anything small-minded. I compromise only Koreans who received the penalty of seven or more years of penal servitude must be expatriated. Then how many Koreans have been expatriated since the age Toseikai was active behind the scenes ? We have often seen, in newspapers, Korean names following "John Doe whose real name is". Expecting large number of criminals have been expatriated, I asked the Ministry of Justice of the exact number. However the answer was, "The number of expatriated Koreans since soon after the war until now is zero because the minister has never stamped for approval." Though it's well known that Seiken Sugiura refused the signatures for executions, I didn't know any Justice Ministers had not expatriated Korean felons. Isn't this the bigger security concern in Japan than to refuse executions ?
http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/viewArticle.asp?articleID=25764 I just presented a paper on “Sex Trafficking and the Military” at a conference where I focused on the ‘Occupation Comfort Girls,’ sex slaves raped by the U.S. Military in Japan after WWII. It recounts how ‘comfort stations’ were set up for American soldiers in Japan in 1945 and stocked with ‘Occupation Comfort Girls’ forced into sexual slavery to service the men. Details beyond cruelty have emerged: the way some girls were raped 60 times a day; the way demand was so high girls had no time to eat or sleep; the way men stood two abreast, in lines a block long, at the Yokosuka ‘Rape Station’ (my word for it) to get at the girls imprisoned inside. The way the men were told to not pay more than 10 yen for a short mount. Ten yen was less than a pack of cigarettes cost at that time. (Rape is economical.) The men were brought in by the truckloads and told to wear condoms no matter ‘how good it felt.’ I guess rape feels good for the rapist. The above details are just a sampling of this atrocity. As for the girls having “some resistance” to selling themselves to enemy men of a different race, the resistance was major: the girls cried and screamed and tried to run away when the GI’s entered the brothels. Terrified of these huge men, they held onto things to keep from being pushed down and mounted. Girls who tried to escape were shoved back in by MP’s. The Japanese have offered ‘comfort girls’ to occupying foreigners since the Dutch. Enslaved girls were set up in ‘kennels,’ like dogs, in port cities and forced to service hundreds of foreign sailors. Perry’s men would have taken full advantage of the ‘sex slave’ arrangement as well.
Why these particular Japanese whores, the ones given to the GI’s in 1945, touch me so much comes from my own background. I lived on military bases for the first twenty years of my life, part of that time in Japan, and although it was years after WWII, I saw those tiny mincing timid prostituted Japanese girls and the big soldiers who bought them and the spectacle of their helplessness, and poverty, tore at my heart. The sadness in the girls’ eyes haunts me. The way they looked like small children, barely half the size of their GI rapists, hurt me and I wondered how soldiers could even contemplate forcing sex on a such a childlike body.
In Korea, anti-Japanese notion is educated from childfood by a country. However, quite a few contents are incorrect Japanese and incorrect history. Even this problem"sex slave issue", Korean criticizes Japan in a lot of wrong fact. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWB-sc1wGV4)
How do you like Japanese is up to you. but, thinking that I want you to know it, both Japanese Government and the successive prime ministers apologize formally many times so far. and what is more Japanese Government hands vast postwar compensation money to the Korea and already conducted a treaty in 1965 that for all the issue of WW2 between Japan and Korea is entirely settled.
>>35 In Korea, people have been educated by the Government in anti-Japanese notions since their childhoods. However, quite a few contents about the Japanese and the history are incorrect. Even for this "sex slave issue", Koreans criticize Japan with a lot of distorted facts.
How you like Japanese is up to you. But I want you to know that the Japanese Government and the successive prime ministers apologized formally many times so far. What's more compensation to Korea that Japanese Government has to pay for war crimes ? Both countries have already concluded the treaty in 1965, in which all issues related to the WW2 between Japan and Korea were entirely settled.
In January 2005, the South Korean government disclosed 1,200 pages of diplomatic documents that recorded the proceeding of the treaty. The documents, kept secret for 40 years, recorded that **South Korea agreed to demand no compensations, either at the government or individual level, after receiving $800 million in grants and soft loans from Japan as compensation for its 1910?45 colonial rule in the treaty[1].
The documents also recorded that the Korean government originally demanded a total of 364 million dollars in compensation for the 1.03 million Koreans conscripted into the workforce and the military during the colonial period[2], at a rate of 200 dollars per survivor, 1,650 dollars per death and 2,000 dollars per injured person[3]. However, the South Korean government used most of the grants for economic development [4], failing to provide adequate compensation to victims by paying only 300,000 won per death in compensating victims of forced labor between 1975 and 1977 [5].
The documents also reveals that the South Korean government claimed that it would handle individual compensation to its citizens who suffered during Japan's colonial rule while rejecting Japan's proposal to directly compensate individual victims and receiving the whole amount of grants on the behalf of victims[6][7].

Mizushima is irked by the spate of docs about the 1937 event in which Japanese soldiers killed 200,000 Chinese in the city, also known as Nanjing, over eight weeks.
These documentaries include "Nanking," produced by AOL vice chairman Ted Leonsis. Fortissimo acquired rights to that doc at Sundance on Wednesday.
Mizushima announced his plans Wednesday at a Tokyo hotel, surrounded by right-wing politicos and others backing the production. His supporters include Tokyo governor Shintaro Ishihara.
The massacre has long been a matter of dispute between China and Japan. Japanese revisionists set the numbers of dead far lower than Chinese figures, while exonerating Japanese troops of atrocities now accepted as fact by the vast majority of Chinese.
References to the massacre have been cut from Japanese school tests despite vigorous Chinese protests.
Mizushima claims Leonsis' doc is "based on fabrications and gives a false impression" of the Japanese military's actions.
He plans to release his pic, with a distrib yet to be announced, to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the event.
China plans its own anniversary release with a film jointly produced by Gerald Green's Viridian Entertainment and the Jiangsu provincial government.
Hong Kong action director Stanley Tong and London's Transworld Pictures also have announced projects on the subject.

Miller, 41, pleaded guilty two years ago to two felony counts of conspiracy to commit extortion for providing protection to two Korean "hostess bars" that recruited women from Korea by paying their traveling expenses and getting them visas before forcing them to repay their debts through prostitution.
The case involved the Crystal Palace Nightclub and Ok Yeo Bong, the two clubs that Miller has admitted helping not only by tipping them to police raids, but also by traveling with the owners to Las Vegas and Hawaii to shake down runaway women.

There is an old saying that you get what you pay for ? and sometimes, the less you pay, the more you get of things you don’t expect.
North American pets owners have been suffering the results of low prices, in a way they probably would not have expected. Recently, pets became ill after eating pet food made from ingredients including contaminated wheat gluten. The gluten also contained the industrial chemical melamine. The melamine increased the protein measurement of the gluten, even though it was harmful to pets. At least 14 died of kidney problems, while countless more got seriously ill.
The gluten involved came from China, a country where standards and inspection procedures are different and more lax than our own, and subsequently, products can be produced more cheaply.
Watching events unfold, there were probably a fair number of people who thought that North America dodged a bit of a bullet, because at least the contamination involved only pet food: after all, it stands to reason that contaminated base products could end up in the human food system, too.
But the fact is that cheap contaminated products from China have shown up outside that country’s borders and caused serious harm. We just haven’t been paying attention.
There have been large-scale poisonings of humans, as the New York Times reported this weekend.
In Panama, 260,000 bottles of cold medicine were manufactured by that county’s government using drums of glycerin from a small Chinese factory, a shipment of glycerin that had made its way through four different trading companies. http://www.thetelegram.com/index.cfm?sid=28100&sc=80

Amnesty International: Russia, China Break Arms Embargo on Sudan By DAVID BLAIR The Daily Telegraph May 9, 2007 LONDON ? Russia and China have broken a U.N. arms embargo by supplying Sudan with attack helicopters, bombers, and other weapons in the knowledge that they are being use against civilians in Darfur, Amnesty International said yesterday.
Chinese strike aircraft and Russian helicopter gunships have been photographed at three airports in Darfur. Their presence violates U.N. Resolution 1591, which banned Sudan from transferring any weaponry to Darfur without the Security Council's official permission. Both Russia and China approved the passage of the resolution in March 2005. But Amnesty's new report finds that both countries went on to breach the very arms embargo they were party to imposing.
China sold arms and ammunition worth $24 million to Sudan in 2005, along with spare parts worth $60 million for military aircraft. http://www.nysun.com/article/54099
Darfur: The "Genocide Olympics?" campaign roars into high gear Friday 11 May 2007 03:48. By Eric Reeves
May 10, 2007 ? An extraordinary column by Rick Reilly of Sports Illustrated gives us perhaps our clearest and strongest view of the deplorable implications of Steven Spielberg’s decision to serve as artistic director in the 2008 “Genocide Olympics” in Beijing (see below).
A May 9, 2007 letter from 108 Members of the US House of Representatives, including Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), warns Chinese President Hu Jintao of China in stark terms:
“Already there are calls to boycott what is increasingly being described as the 2008 ’Genocide Olympics.’ As Sudan’s single largest trading partner, and the main beneficiary of their significant crude oil exports and construction contracts, we urge you to protect your country’s image from being irredeemably tarnished, through association with a genocidal regime, for the purposes of economic gains.”
The full letter, along with cover letter from Congressman Tom Lantos (D-CA), appears below. Lantos, Chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the only Holocaust survivor in the US Congress, declares in the letter:
"This appalling genocide has already destroyed untold numbers of families, due to displacement or death of a loved one. The international community must immediately stand up---and stand together---to bring an end to this horrific tragedy. This is a moral challenge for us all; if China fails to do its part, it risks being forever known as the host of the ’Genocide Olympics.’"
Hwandangogi consists of 4 volumes. Samseonggi contains a history of Hwan In and Hwan Wung. Bukbuyeogi contains a hisotry of Bukbuyeo(BC 239-BC 58) dynasty, a predecessor of Goguryeo(BC 58-AD 668) dynasty. At last, Taebaekilsa contains from an ancient history to Goryeo(AD 918-AD 1392) dynasty history. Howerver, this book contains an amazing history. Our history is not 5000 years, but it states our history is 10,000 years. It states that there is 5,000 years of history before Dangun Joseon (BC 2333-AD 238) dynasty.
There was Hwanguk (BC 7199-BC 3898 : Hwan dynasty) first and following dynasty called Shinshi, Baedalguk (BC 3898-BC 2333 : Baedal dynasty). Then, Dangun Joseon (BC 2333-AD 238) afterward. After Dangun Joseon (BC 2333-AD 238), there was Bukbuyeo(BC 239-BC 58) dynasty, a predecessor of Goguryeo dynasty and Goryeo(AD 918-AD 1392) dynasty after Bukbuyeo. Then Daejinguk (AD 669-926 : Daejin dynasty), also called Balhae, and there was Goryeo (AD 918-1392) dynasty. Especially ancient history is brilliant.
Especially ancient history is brilliant. The first dynasty, Hwanguk (BC 7199-BC 3898 : Hwan dynasty), was born in history 10,000 years ago. During 3301 years of its ruling period, Hwanguk was governed by 7 Hwanins. After Hwanguk, Shinshi Baedalguk (BC3898-BC 2333 : Baedal dynasty) was ruled by 18 Hwan Wungs over 1500 years. After ruling over 5000 years by Hwanguk (BC 7199-BC 3898 : Hwan dynasty) and Shinshi Baedalgul, finally Dangun Joseon (BC 2333-AD 238 : Dangun Joseon dynasty) was born and total 47 Dangun ruled Dangun Joseon. Ph.Dr Myeong-Cheol Yun, Dongguk University History department:This book has a specific record about our greatness and territory not like the history that we have known. Therefore, regardless if it is true or not, this book has been very important for those who are seeking for Korean race's greatness or identity of Korean race.
The domain of Korean race described in Hwandangogi is far beyond our imagination. According to Samseonggi, under Mt. Pamirs, there was a dynasty of Hwan In and this land is east of Cheon. The size of this land extends from 50,000 Ri(20,000 km) North to South and 20,000 Ri(8,000 km) from East to West. The location of Mt. Pamirs is central Siberian plateau and Cheon is Lake Baikal at the current day. This means that territory of Hwanguk 10,000 years ago is beyond Asia. Hwanguk (BC 7199-BC 3898 : Hwan dynasty) ruled over 12 dynasties and boasted its vast territory extending 50,000 Ri(20,000 km) from North to South and 20,000 Ri(8,000 km) from East to West.
Among these countries, there is a country called Sumiliguk. Some claim that Sumiliguk is the old Sumer civilization. According to this declaration, people of Sumer who has built up theMesopotamia civilization are ethnic ancestors of Korea.
There are not only stories of the spacious territory in Hwandangogi, but also glaring heroes. One of the typical hero is Chi Wu Cheonhwang where his face-shape is inscribed in a tile of tradition.Chi Wu Cheonhwang is the 14th Hwan Wung of Baedalguk who already used iron arms andknown as the God of War.
Ja O Ji Hwan Wung had copper enclosed the headand his forehead was covered with iron. The world was frightened of him because he first made weapons with iron(metal) and called him Chi Wu Cheonhwang. A chinese warrior Heon Wun Hwang Je challenged to him for many timesbut never was able to achieve victory.Hwandangogi notes that the war that is known as Chinese history between Chi Wu and Hwang Je started from the history of Korea. The fifth son of Da Il Ban Hwan Wung is called Tae Ho Bok Hi.Tae Ho Bok Hi is the first character of Sam Hwang O Je and served as theWusa(chief of rain) for the Dynasty and after went to Jin kingdom. If he is the son of Hwan Wung written in the book, then the Chinese history has origined from Korean history.

Japan should take steps to ensure that films and exhibitions planned in China on the Nanjing massacre do not distort the truth, a government official said on Friday China's official Xinhua news agency said in late March that no fewer than four Chinese films about the wartime atrocity were planned for this year, the 70th anniversary of Japan's capture of China's former capital.
There will be various movies and exhibitions on the Nanking incident, and it is natural that we should make efforts to suggest more details of facts and prevent wrong views from spreading in China," Japanese Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Hakubun Shimomura told a lower house panel
China says invading Japanese troops slaughtered 300,000 men, women and children in Nanjing, then known as Nanking. An Allied tribunal after World War Two put the death toll at about 142,000.
But some Japanese historians say the 1937 massacre has been exaggerated and some conservatives deny there was even a massacre.
A Japanese group backed by ultra-nationalist figures said earlier this year it planned to make a documentary, "The Truth about Nanjing," denying Japanese soldiers massacred civilians and prisoners of war. China condemned the proposed documentary.
Last August China announced plans to make a movie about the "Nanking Massacre" based on Iris Chang's best-selling book.Sino-Japanese ties have been overshadowed by what Beijing says has been Tokyo's refusal to admit to atrocities committed by Japanese soldiers in the country between 1931 and 1945.
>>246 HISTORY SPECIAL - 1/3 - Hwandan Gogi consists of four volumes. Samseonggi contains the histories of Hwanin and Hwanung. Dangun Segi contains the histories of Dangun Joseon. Bukbuyeogi contains the hisotries of Bukbuyeo, the predecessor of Goguryeo. The last Taebaek Ilsa contains the histories from ancient times to Goryeo. And a whole surprising world of history spreads in these books. The history of the Korean race is declared to be not only 5000 years but even 10,000 years. We already had 5,000 year history before Dangun Joseon. The first country was Hwanguk. Baedalguk was called Shinshi: the city of god. And Dangun Joseon followed next. Bukbuyeo was the predecessor of Goguryeo. Goguryeo took over Bukbuyeo. Balhae was also called Daejinguk. And the last Goryeo. The histories of ancient times were especially glorious. 10,000 years ago, Hwanguk appeared as the first country of the human race. The seven Hwanins ruled Hwanguk for 3301 years. Later in Shinshi Baedalguk, the eighteen Hwanungs ruled for more than 1500 years. After about 5000 year rule by Hwanguk and Shinshi Baedalguk, Dangun Joseon appeared and the forty seven Danguns ruled it.
>>246 HISTORY SPECIAL - 2/3 - Unlike the historical materials we knew, they specifically describe the greatness of our ancient histories and the territories at the times. It can be said that, regardless of the facts, these books are really important for those want the greatness or the identity of the Korean race. The scope of the Korean race's activities described in Hwandan Gogi is unimaginable. The following records are found in Samseonggi. There was a Hwanin's country at the foot of Mt. Panaeryu, east of Cheonhae. It extended 50000 ri(里)north and south, and 20000 ri(里)east and west. They say that Mt. Panaeryu is today's central Siberian plateau and Cheonhae is today's Lake Baikal. If this was true, Hwanguk's territory 10000 years ago was larger than Asia. At the time Hwanguk was a country of the vast territory extending 50000 Ri north and south, and 20000 Ri east and west, and ruled twelve countries in its territory. Sumiliguk was one of these countries. There is some viewpoint to take Sumiliguk as the ancient Sumer. According to this viewpoint, the Sumerian tribe who established the Mesopotamian civilization was the Korean race. Not only its vast territory but the legendary heroes are also written in Hwandan Gogi. The most famous hero is the Emperor Chiwu. They say that this ghost roof tile of Silla was made in the image of the Emperor Chiwu's face.
>>246 HISTORY SPECIAL - 3/3 - The Emperor Chiwu, the forteenth Hwanung of Baedalguk, had the iron weapons as far as 5000 years ago and is now known as the god of war. There was a Hwanung Jaoji who twisted copper around the head and covered his forehead with iron and made the iron weapons. He shook the entire world and people called him the Emperor Chiwu. The chinese Yellow Emperor Heon Wun challenged him to a fight dozens of times but was not able to win even once. According to Hwandan Gogi, this Chinese history, the wars against the Emperor Chiwu, actually was the Korean history. The fifth Hwanung, Da Eui Bahl's youngest son was Taeho Bokhi. He was the first of the Three Sovereigns, holding a government post Wusa: chief of rain, and later went to Jin kingdom. He is a legendary sovereign known as the founder of China. If he was actually a Hwanung's son as written in the book, Chinese history began with the Korean race, not the Chinese. As we have seen, Hwandan Gogi says the Korean race as the divine nation established the fulgent civilization and flourished around the vast continent.

Pamirs is central Siberian plateau and Cheon is Lake Baikal at the current day.] [This means that territory of Hwanguk 10,000 years ago is beyond Asia.]

They SPIT on the floor, so NOISY with loud voices BOTHERING other customers, sing to karaoke with SELFISH MANNER and HARASS Japanese hostesses IGNORING owners' warnings. CHINESE and KOREANS are too VULGAR to have the PUBLIC SPIRIT. Japanese simply warn illegal FILIPINO, CHINESE and KOREAN whores not to whore in their hotels. Or as in the case of the World Cup, some owners who didn't speak English were not able to accept customers from overseas, thinking "they wouldn't be able to make those customers enough satisfied with their services", therefore they accepted "only Japanese" RELUCTANTLY. The LEGAL ALIENS who speak Japanese even a little are NEVER and will NEVER be shut out.

What's the point of rebutting one issue without chance of giving counter arguments for the sake of fairness? Had Chinese produced a series of counter evidences, it would be construed as a vicious anti-Japanese slam orchestrated by the state propaganda. They will be guilty thereof. Very Clever!!! Let the orgy of racial comments speak for itself.

Good evening. This is the book which Mr. Nshioka published recently, This book is released from the PHP company. Truth of Japan and the South Korean history problem. -全ては嘘から始まった- All began from the lie. The Japan-South Korea relation has gone sour truly.
We hear about why relations between Japan and South Korea are getting worse.
Yes.
大高:まず最初にですね、もう日韓問題は1965年に日本が韓国に五億ドル賠償金を支払って もう賠償はすんでいるわけですよね? i hear first, As for the problem of Japan and South Korea, Japan paid South Korea a 500 million-dollar compensation in 1965. Compensation is already ending?
Well, that is not necessary to compensate. I wrote also to this book.
There is the word "compensation." Compensation requires from the country in which the country which won in war lost.
Japan and South Korea have not warred. Thats right.
Yes,They were in the side of Japan.
Yes,Thats right. However, the Lee Sung-man Administration wanted to take compensation from Japan. And they demanded to go into signed treaty of San Francisco .
Because, they said, "There was an exiled regime during war", however did not accept internationally. The victorious nation decided that there was no right for them to ask Japan for compensation. They are not being a friend of a victorious nation. that was not that Japan which lost war decided.
However, South Korea became independent before there were a treaty and an agreement between Japan and South Korea,
We''d like to welcome our special guest . We'd like to introduce Prof.Tsutomu Nishioka. He is a professor at Tokyo Christian Collage.and a representative of permanent vice-president of Saving Association. Good evening. Good evening Godd evening ,Nice to meet you.
Mr.Nishioka ,Your book had published recently. Yes. Oh!Here's book,This book is released from PHP Co.ltd. Named "The truth of the historic issues between Japan and South Korea. All began from The lie. Yes, Japan's relations with South Korea is really complicated.and....
say um I would like to hear why the histric issues between Japan and South korea are getting worse. Yes.
At first,Japan has paid 500 million-dollars to South korea as full state compensation and Japan has already paid full state compensation, doesn't you? Yes.Japan doesn't pay to South Korea at all. Yes. huum Japan extended economic assistance to South Korea. There things is written in this book.
>>333 大高:Yeah. 西岡:賠償とか補償とか色々言葉はあるんですけど、賠償と云うのは戦争で勝った国が負けた国から 取るんですよね。 There are some words like remedy and compensation but a victory nation takes it from a defeated nation, right ? There is the word "compensation." Yeah. But Japan has never fought against Korea. Thats right. Yeah, they fought as Japanese. Ummm, that's right. However, Lee Seung-man cabinet wanted to get a compensation from Japan. Yeah. So "they asked to treat themselves as one of the victory nations in the San Francisco Peace Treaty".
>>373 There are various ways to say "compensation","reparation" and so on. but It is "compansation" that Winner takes it loser in War. hmm year. However,Japan doe's not battle South korea. That's right Japanese and South Korean fought together against enemy nations. Yes.They were in the side of Japan. Yes , That's right. But Lee Sung-man Administration wants to take compensation from Japan. um yes
So,They demanded including their claim rights to The Treaty of Peace singed in signed in San Francisco .
>>339 Because ,They said "There refugee government has existed" but Their claim didn't allow internationally. That is to say,Japan didn't deny their international claim rights but The allies refused their rights . Victor countries established the international framework. Not Japan.

However, South Korea attained independence in first without negotiating a treaty or agreement between Japan and South Korea. Threfore, there are Japanese assets left behind in South Korea. There are Japanese assets left behind in South Korea? Yes,
This week saw Japanese documents from the post-war U.S. occupation period published into English for the first time, and the picture they paint of soldiers and government alike in post-war Japan is both shocking and depressing.
Tens of thousands of women worked in these state-sanctioned and U.S. Army (tacitly) approved brothels, serving between 15 and 60 men a day. A day. While the majority were poor Japanese women from the countryside with little education and poor employment prospects, ** there are also indications that women from overseas may have been kidnapped and forced to work as prostitutes, ** as had been the case with Korean women during the war.
** there are also indications that women from overseas may have been kidnapped and forced to work as prostitutes, **
>>388 I took an in-depth look at this show and I knew most pictures are sex trade shops and bars in Tokyo. (私はこの映像をじっくり見て、ほとんどの画像が東京の風俗店と酒場だとわかった、) and Those notices announcing "Japanese Only" is cause of (そして、これらの「日本人だけ」の掲示は the violence by illegal Chinese in in Kabukicho、Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. They engaged in drug-running activities and They are trying to blackmail.etc. (彼らは麻薬の密輸や脅迫をしようとしたりということにはげんだ) Finally,They shoot unlikely companions with a illegal gun in the bar. (ついに、彼らは好ましくない仲間たちを違法の銃で撃った) Then, sex trade shops and bars in Tokyo placed the notice annnoucing "Japanese Only". Anyway, somebody who edited this show so much love Japanese sex trade shops?
Apparently、most Japanese sex trade shops don't receive non-Japanese. Japanses prostitute are unable to communicate non-Japanese customers and sex trade shop employee can't tell non-Japanese customers that Japanese sex trade rules because of those things become increasingly to damage sex crime. There is no more to it .

> Therefore Japan still has the claim right for public and private assets left in > North Korea. > Does Japan still have the right ? > Yes it does. > It hasn't been settled. > Japan gave up pulic assets in Korea by the San Francisco Peace Treaty but private > assets still remain unsettled. "Japan's claim is more than Korea's only for private > assets.", Japan said. > Then they had trouble with each other. Korea said, "What are you talking about ? > No matter what you say, the "Cairo Declaration" says, "Japan's colony is in a state > of enslavement.". Note: The Cairo Declaration has been unratified. 「日本はひどい事やったのだから、日本の貰い分が大きいのはおかしい。」と言いました。 そうすると、日本の代表、くぼたさんが「そこまで仰るのなら日本は植民地時代に 木を植えました。学校を作りました。」 > They said, "It's not fair Japan gets more than we do as they have committed vicious > war crimes.". Then Japanese representative Mr. Kubota said, "No matter what story > you fake, we planted trees and built schools for your nation during annexation.". 井尻:そうそう。> Uh huh, uh huh. 大高:「レールも作った。」> "Japan built railroads too."
> "I will have no choice but to say all of those good things.", he said. > Then Korean representative thumped the desk in anger and said, "Then we can't > negotiate anymore.". Note: They haven't changed at all since then. > It's known well as Kubota remark. > Having looked into the news papers at the time, I found a sentence "How true, > Mr.Kubota." even in Asahi news paper, the other papers as well. > Ohhh, even Asahi news wrote like that ? > Many people knew the facts in those days. A diplomatic negotiation usually > ends up being compromised at the center of both claims. Thus a tough claim should > be submitted first and it's changed easier gradually. > Looking back to the world situation in those days, the Japan-US-Korea triangle > alliance confronted the Soviet-China-North Korea triangle alliance. The West > confronted the East. It would be bad for Japan's national interest to see the > red flag being placed in Busan.
> Japan had to resolve the conflict with Korea under such circumstance. > The US intermediated to settle the dispute over "Japan's claim larger than Korea's". US Department of State submitted the document the "America's understanding of the San Francisco Peace Treaty" and said, "Japan shouldn't insist on more claims than Korea's. Instead as Japan left the huge amount of assets in Korea, Korea's claim should include those assets. Consider this when both countries discuss the claims.". It was an intermediate compromise proposal and Japan accepted it. > Japan asked Korea to show the concrete number of conscripted workers and soldiers, > dead and injured and how much unpaid wages were. They asked to "show the evidences and > they would pay". "Korea agreed" and investigated them. What I want to clarify here is > that Korea didn't claim the compensation for the war time prostitutes.
> Didn't they ? 井尻:強制的な慰安婦の連行はないわけですからね > It's because there was no abducted prostitute. And we know Rhee Syng-man was an anti Japan chief of Korea. > He knew the fact about it. > Nobody said at the time in Korea, those prostitutes were abducted. Everyone knew > there were many women who were so poor that they sold themselves to live and > the Japan army didn't have to abduct Chosun women. There were many Chosun volunteers > for Japan army at the time. > Yeah, I know. > Knowing their sisters and mothers had forcibly been taken to the brothels and raped, > they wanted to join Japan army ? > No they couldn't. > They couldn't, could they ? They would have shot Japanese soldiers. > Definitely they would. > Everyone knew everything at the time. > What you told is the fact.
> Therefore they didn't claim it, but there were conscripted soldiers and workers. > Japan "agreed to pay for them", but amount of money for claims wasn't more than only > $100 million. > Was it that cheap ? > Unpaid wage was a rare case. > There is one more thing people misunderstood. They always compare Japan with Germany > and insist "Germany compensated individuals". > I hear that so often. > However Korean regimes including Rhee Syng-man and Park Chung-hee also, refused Japan's > pensions for conscripted soldiers who had had tough lives in Japan army and injured > conscripted workers. > Korea said "Don't do it." and "Korean government will get all of them". > "Korean government will get the compensations for all claims including those for Korean civilians' > assets."
日韓歴史問題の真実3−1 > Truth of Japan-Korea History Issue 3-1 その12 前田;なるほど > Well done. > I think it's natural as a dependent state.

Traffickers abroad charge women tens of thousands of dollars to smuggle them into the city, and then force them to work off their debts in erotic massage parlors, sometimes servicing more than a dozen men a day. Sometimes the women are lied to about the type of work they will be doing in the United States.
Often the women are forced to live in the same parlors where they work, and are watched on surveillance cameras and kept inside by metal security doors.
Newsom convened the massage parlor task force after federal agents investigating a South Korean sex trafficking ring raided 10 San Francisco massage parlors in summer 2005.

They enjoyed the given independence. 西岡:You are right. 大高:It's the issue between individuals and the Korean gov't. You are right. Some people carried on the independence campaign. Some people died as Korean army soldiers in the Korean War. Due to the difference of the price levels, personal pensions from the Korean gov't for those people could have been less than pensions in yen from Japan for people who had served in the Japanese army. 井尻:Ummm. People who had fought for Japan could have gotten more than who had fought for Korea. A Japanese liaison office was in Seoul. If it had called people who had served in the Japanese army to come and had passed out the pension books to them, Korea wouldn't be independent anymore. 大高:That could have insulted Korea. 前田:The Korean gov't would have been embarrassed about that. Yeah, then they refused the individual compensation. I wrote about it in this book. However, Japan built the system in 2000 to provide ex-conscripts and ex-drafted workers with the compensations. 大高:It was that Mr. Nonaka who......
Yes, he did it. And the system insulted Korea. Though amount wasn't more than $100 million, the Korean gov't received all the compensations for people who had belonged to the Japanese army. Japan also paid $500 million of the economic assistance. Why Japan decided to pay that $500 million as the economic assistance is because Korea was an anticommunistic free nation as Japan was at the time. That's how it was. 大高:$500 million in all ? Uh huh. Japan decided to pay $500 million and the talks with the Korean gov't were over. 前田:Was that amount, $500 million at the time, large or small ? 大高:It was amazingly large because..... Well, Japanese foreign reserves were $1.8 billion then. 前田;Japanese foreign reserves ? It was the amount only in hand. 前田:They got nearly one third of Japanese foreign reserves. Korea's foreign reserves were only $130 million in all then. 前田:Didn't they have more than only $130 million in all ? Did Japan pay them $500 million ?
It wasn't so easy for Japan. They weren't able to pay in a lump sum and paid in ten year installments. They gave $300 million out of $500 million really for free and loaned rest $200 million at low interest. Comparing with Korea's $130 million, $300 million is over twice and $500 million is about four times. 大高:No wonder they had remarkable economic growth as the "Miracle of Hangan". The Korean gov't released the "white book on claim right" after Japan had completed ten year installments, in which they investigated and calculated the use of $500 million of the claim compensation. They spent 20% of $500 million from 1965 to 1975 for the economic growth. 20% of $500 million of the "Miracle of Hangan" contributed to the Korean economy. It was good for each other, wasn't it ? 井尻:Sure it was. There are many countries getting large amount of economic assistances, aren't they ? A certain first lady collected a lot of shoes. 井尻:Bwhahaha. It's useless no matter how much money we give corrupt countries. 前田:I agree with you.
What the chief Park did good was the gov't received all individuals should have gotten. There were Koreans who had been wartime prostitutes, drafted workers and migrating workers dead in coal mines. However if they received the money, they would only spend it without leaving anything. The chief Park decided to buy only production materials and not to buy consumer products. 前田:Ummm. He also decided not to buy domestic production materials. He spent some out of $500 million for only imported materials they weren't able to produce domestically. The chief himself signed even for cement imports for the highway constructions. Otherwise the money should have disappeared as bribes. He said "he wouldn't spend the money for nothing as it had been paid to compensate for the annexation". 前田:What a good chief ! They built the Pohang ironworks reflecting Nippon Steel Corporation's highest iron-making technology. It's Nippon Steel Corporation's competitor now. 井尻:Yes it is. They also built the highways and the dams. These days, some kind of mid age and older women visit Chuncheon for sightseeing, where has been popular since Winter Sonata boom. The dam creating that lake was constructed with the Japanese economic assistance, which has prevented the flood damage.
Japan had a deficit due to the economic assistance. Korean economic growth has helped Japanese exports to them drastically increase. When I looked into the amounts of trades, Japan had a surplus but Korea had a deficit. 大高:It's good for each other. It's good for each other. It's not a zero-sum game but a coexistence. 前田;It's really good, isn't it ? 大高:I'd like to clear up the point. Though this issue has been totally solved, recently on Mar. 1st 2005, Korean chief Roh Moo-Hyun made a speech like this. Let's see what it was like. 前田:I'm going to read it. "Mar. 1st 2005. I understand the Japanese anger against the abduction issue well. Japan should try to think about the issue also from the other side. Regarding 36 years of annexation, the compulsory recruitment and the comfort women, Japan should understand our anger caused by the pains that were tens of times or tens of thousands of times stronger than theirs." 大高:What's this all about ? He still claims something crazy into the solved issue. He still says the terms like compulsory recruitment and comfort women. 前田:Doesn't he know the history ?
I listened to the speech while I was writing this book and added sentences as I thought it was a "big problem". He is trying to barter the abduction issue for the wartime prostitutes. The chief Roh Moo-Hyun insists on the same view of the wartime prostitues as North Korea's. 前田:Yes, he does. The abduction issue is still ongoing. The annexation was over. It has been legally solved. And the wartime prostitutes weren't any problem, were they ? 大高:No, they weren't. Therefore comparing ongoing abduction issue with nothing that happened and claiming the damage twice or three times bigger are crazy. 井尻:You are right. I thought I shouldn't be quiet." "Everything was over." I wrote the story of how Japan-Korea diplomatic normalization happened. The document of the diplomatic normalization also says "everything is done completely". The transcript of the talks also says "All Korean claims for conscripts and drafted workers are done". Despite this, they still claim such an obsession like this, which doesn't seem to be a modern state's diplomacy. 前田:Mr. Nishioka, before this chief claims like that, does he know the historical background but have an evil political intention or doesn't he know the history at all ?
He said like this after the speech, "Japan should ascertain the facts of the past and sincerely apologize, then compensate if necessary before it comes to terms with Korea". 前田:It's totally different from what Mr. Nisioka said a little while ago. I heard there hadn't been a word of compensation in the first sentence and the chief himself had added it. The San Francisco Peace Treaty and whatever were done are meaningless. 大高:We can call it an extortion or a racketeering, can't we ? Some Japanese have helped them extort and racketeer, from Japan. 大高:Who are they ? 前田:It's a terrible story. Asahi news and NHK have disputed lately. I think Asahi is guilty. It's easy to understand when we think about the comfort women issue. First of all, the comfort women issue is Asahi's makeup. A misinformation is made without reporter's evil conscience but a makeup is made with an evil conscience in the first place. Ms. Kim Hak-soon is the first ex-wartime prostitute who went to court and it wasn't a Korean paper that reported this lawsuit first but Asahi news did. It was Aug. 1991. However reading the bill to sue Japan, everyone can find the description as "I was sold as a gisaeng in 40 yen. A person who bought me trained me as a gisaeng and I went to the place near the Japanese army base with that person.".
She was a victim of the human traffic, wasn't she, as she was sold in 40 yen ? But Asahi news wrote on the paper as "an abuducted member of the girls volunteer corps comes forward". Note: workers in a factory such as an airplane plant 前田:It's totally wrong. 大高;The girls volunteer corps and the wartime prostitutes were regarded as identical though they were different. Uh huh. Then the abduction is the next. A human traffic victim was introduced as an abduction victim. This article was written by a reporter Uemura and he is still an active Asahi news reproter. 前田:Is he still active ? He is in Beijing now as a Beijing correspondent. Being proficient in Korean language, he writes articles about North Korean problems and Japan-North Korea issues. Before he went to Beijing, he had been a Seoul correspondent. His wife is a Korean. It doesn't matter if she is a Korean but telling what she is like, her mother is one of the top leaders of the association for war-bereaved families that sued Japan. 井尻:Well, well. 大高;They are obviously well connected. His mother in law, top leader of the association for war-bereaved families, introduced an old ex-wartime prostitute to him so he would be able to write that global scoop. おわり

It's totally different from what Mr. Nisioka said a little while ago. I heard there hadn't been a word of compensation in the first sentence and the chief himself had added it. The San Francisco Peace Treaty and whatever were done are meaningless. We can call it an extortion or a racketeering, can't we ? Some Japanese have helped them extort and racketeer, from Japan. (08:31) 大高:Who are they ? 前田:It's a terrible story. Asahi news and NHK have disputed lately. I think Asahi is guilty. It's easy to understand when we think about the comfort women issue. First of all, the comfort women issue is Asahi's makeup. (08:55) A misinformation is made without reporter's evil conscience but a makeup is made with an evil conscience in the first place. (09:01) Ms. Kim Hak-soon is the first ex-wartime prostitute who went to court and it wasn't a Korean paper that reported this lawsuit first but Asahi news did. It was Aug. 1991. (09:21) However reading the bill to sue Japan, everyone can find the description as "I was sold as a gisaeng in 40 yen. A person who bought me trained me as a gisaeng and I went to the place near the Japanese army base with that person.". (09:38)
She was a victim of the human traffic, wasn't she, as she was sold in 40 yen ? But Asahi news wrote on the paper as "an abuducted member of the girls volunteer corps comes forward". Note: workers in a factory such as an airplane plant (09:50) 前田:It's totally wrong. 大高;The girls volunteer corps and the wartime prostitutes were regarded as identical though they were different.(09:56) 西岡:Uh huh. Then the abduction is the next. A human traffic victim was introduced as an abduction victim. This article was written by a reporter Uemura and he is still an active Asahi news reproter. (10:03) 前田:Is he still active ? He is in Beijing now as a Beijing correspondent. Being proficient in Korean language, he writes articles about North Korean problems and Japan-North Korea issues. (10:17) Before he went to Beijing, he had been a Seoul correspondent. His wife is a Korean. (10:21) It doesn't matter if she is a Korean but telling what she is like, her mother is one of the top leaders of the association for war-bereaved families that sued Japan. (10:32) 井尻:Well, well. 大高;They are obviously well connected. His mother in law, top leader of the association for war-bereaved families, introduced an old ex-wartime prostitute to him so he would be able to write that global scoop. (10:42)
The List: The World’s Most Powerful Crime Syndicates The Yakuza AFP/Getty ImagesThe big picture: With close ties to many politicians and right-wing pressure groups, Japan’s crime syndicates can operate without much fear of the law.
Major players: The largest yakuza group is the Yamaguchi-gumi, whose 39,000 members account for nearly half of all Japanese gangsters. Headquartered in Kobe, the group has been growing fast through corporate-style acquisitions. Current godfather Kenichi Shinoda manages the criminal empire from jail. This incarceration is his second stint; in the 1970s, he did time for slicing up a rival with a sword.
Distinguishing features: Publicity and style. The yakuza are the most open of crime syndicates, with official headquarters, nameplates, and business cards. Flashy suits, distinctive tiger tattoos, and missing fingers (cut off as penance for failure) make for a romantic public image. Humanitarian gestures and an avoidance of “civilian” casualties, meanwhile, leave the public willing to look away from the groups’ violence.
Where they’re headed: Conflict with the authorities. Several recent high-profile killings may mean the end of he government’s tolerant approach?and the police are now adding 10,000 extra officers to take on the gangs. Yamaguchi-gumi’s expansion into Tokyo, meanwhile, is provoking resistance from rivals and may lead to bloody turf wars.

However in the scoop, he wrote as if a human traffic victim had been abducted so his mother in law might get an advantage in the trial. 前田:Oh no. 大高:Uh huh. He hasn't corrected it until now. 前田:That's insane. 大高:Why doesn't Asahi fire such reporter who hasn't corrected the made up story ? 前田:And he gets some hundred thousand dollars of annual income. I pointed out his makeup many times and wrote an article in the monthly Bungei Shunju in 1992 to reveal how "Mr. Uemura was disgraceful". Then Asahi transferred him not to Seoul but to Teheran despite his Korean proficiency. As I thought "he was demoted actually and transferred to Teheran where he couldn't deal with Korean issues", I showed samurai's mercy to him. And I didn't say his name in public for five years. 前田:Mr. Nishioka is too kind. 大高:But he was transferred from Teheran... He was transferred to Seoul. 大高:How could they do that ? Five years later, the comfort women appeared in Japanese history textbooks. Then I began to criticize him again and wrote about him in this book. However, we writers don't want to write what we wrote before, do we ? 井尻:No, we don't.
However, finding rampant lies, I couldn't help telling the facts. Then I investigated everything in a bit more detail to write this book. And another thing I want to say is, the report about the comfort women by Asahi got Koreans mad. In response, Japanese government investigated the issue. I visited Northeast Asia Division to ask "why Japan had apologized easily and whether they had believed the abduction". They said "they would just start the investigation". Before then, the prime minister Miyazawa had apologized eight times in Seoul. 大高:Uh huh. 西岡:This is the result. 大高;Uh huh. They announced the Kono statement. As for whether it admitted the abduction by the public authority or not... 大高:The problem is here. 西岡:Yeah. It says "the Japanese army mostly left private brothel managers to recruit the wartime prostitutes but in many cases they were recruited against their will through coaxing and coercion". The phrase, "against their will", means coercion, right ? 前田;Yes, it does. And "Furthermore the public authority was directly involved in some cases." This means the authority was involved in something against those women's will. The authority means the government power, right ? 前田:That's right. It's the army or the police, right ?
However there wasn't such a fact or an evidence at all. 前田:What happened to the government ? I also asked them about it and they said "it was based on the interviews with the ex-wartime prostitutes but they hadn't been able to find any documents to prove it". Looking into the interview records carefully, a Korean expert found their testimonies "claiming the abductions" quite fishy. The four women who sued the Japanese government remained reliable but two of them actually had been "sold as gisaengs". 大高:Uh huh. The rest two women testified they had been in brothels in Busan and Japan. The army didn't need to abduct prostitutes in places except war fronts. 大高;Uh huh. Because the human traffic was popular at the time. I wrote about this story like "And Then There Were None" in detail here. Asahi made up the story first, then Korean government got mad and Japan apologized based on lies, and which made people mistake Japan to admit the abduction. First Japan had given Korea the materials to bash Japan for the abduction and as Japan had apologized, the chief Roh Moo-Hyun made that speech. In the situation these days, the Korean chief argues against Japan over the North Korean abduction issue on which Japan should never compromise.
After I heard the whole story, Japanese seem to have made the Japan-Korea issues complicated. That's how "all began from lies" Japanese communists gave Korea. I mean Asahi and so called liberal academians told lies. 大高:Why did Mr. Yohei Kono do such a nonsense ? Was he asked that by Korea ? Well, then Kim Yong-sam cabinet asked him to "admit only the coercion" behind closed doors and promised "they would never claim the compensation and close the issue if he did it". 前田:Ahhhhhh. He was so careless to trust them. 大高:And again they blackmail for money. Eventually, it's impossible to unify the historical perceptions between nations. 前田:Uh huh. We can compromise on a domestic issue. The way the LDP compromises is just as adding two numbers and dividing the result by two. 前田:Um. It's a cosmetic agreement though. However we should never do that against other nations. We should never apologize easily. 井尻:You are right. The government shouldn't have apologized to last minute and clarified the fact first. When they were bashed for the abduction, they should have said, "We are going to investigate the issue. I should say it's the regrettable event if it was the fact. However we trust the Japanese authority and believe they didn't commit such a crime." or something, as they actually didn't do it.
However, the way to settle an issue by saving other's face and getting an interest just as adding two numbers and dividing the result by two, is also used against China in these days. 井尻:That's right. The government should stop doing that. 井尻:Yes, they should. And "we should keep insisting on the truths". As "different races and nations have different historical perceptions", "we should agree our perceptions are different". We have no other way to settle the issue. 前田:The term of comfort women sounds like they were forced to work without pay but how did they go with money ? I wrote about it here. 大高:It's amazing each of them could buy some houses. An old woman went to court claiming "she had an old passbook and wanted her savings repaid". The large amount of money was found in her passbook. 前田:Well, well. How much did she save ? Well, it was $220. A person could afford to buy some houses with that much money at the time. 前田:If she really had that much money as in her passbook... 西岡:She did. 前田:The wartime prostitutes earned much money, didn't they ?
Yes, they did. The brothels were sanitary and the prostitutes got paid enough. 前田:I think not a few women might want to be there. This $220 was one of the private claims at the time. Japan paid $500 million in 1965 for this kind of unpaid wages. Therefore the Korean government should pay this $220. But this woman... 前田:She claimed it against the Japanese government but she got the wrong sow by the ear. Right after claiming "she had been abducted and had a tough time", the same person said "she wanted to get $220 back", that's insane. 前田:Her logic is inconsistent. It was Japanese fault eventually to allow her to do that. 大高:Now I put it all together, eventually many politicians still try to solve issues around Japan-Korea and Japan-China based on the discourses by Mr. Murayama and Mr. Kono. 西岡:Um. 大高:Do you have any idea to change their way ? I want to say they should remember the Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea concluded in 1965. A discourse is an evaluation that every politician can make but this treaty is the basis of the Japan-Korea relation. All issues have been closed in it.
And afterward, I believe the Japan-Korea relation has been good for each other as the anti-North Korea allies. Japan gave them $500 million and more of the economic assistance and they spent it for dams and highways without any corruptions, which I believe made both nations friendly to each other. If "they evaluate this relation as bad", we should give up the Japan-Korea friendship at once. They should admit the modern Japan-Korea history has been good for each other. Unless they appreciate good things Japan has done for Korea after the 1965 treaty, Japan should refuse the friendship with Korea. They should know some Koreans also have contributed to establish the friendship. I agree with you. And one thing I want to say is, Korea and China tend to revise histories whenever the government changes, don't they ? 西岡;Yes, they do. That's why Korean foreign affairs retreat from what they used to be whenever the government changes. Therefore they may raise issues again as we talked, unless we raise the level of the common historical perception as soon as their government has changed. Therefore no matter what makeups they insist, we shouldn't get upset and contradict them. And we should insist on need for a friendship even when we don't reach an agreement eventually. We need a friendship of which we don't ask an agreement which is a too easy way.
Mr. Nishioka's study of modern Japan-Korea history is very important and I hope he keeps up the good work. 前田:Thank you for your time today. 大高:Thank you and I hope for the progress in the North Korean abduction issue. Please support our upcoming sit-in protest. 大高:You are going to do it. 前田:Good luck with you. It's about time to say goodbye but we presented a fruitful discussion today. We talked about many important facts. 大高:Uh huh. 前田:I had fun today as Mr. Nishioka told us interesting facts. 大高:I want teachers teaching children history to learn this true Japan-Korea history. 前田:I hope they will read this book. I really hope many of them will read it. 大高:Otherwise, something disastrous can happen if children learn the comfort women issue as the fact. 前田:Now we have to promote the book. 大高:Uh huh. It's released by PHP Institute. 前田:Please remember this "Truth of Japan-Korea history issue". 大高:It's fairly easy to read. 前田:Uh huh. It contains other subjects we didn't talk here such as "the illusion of Korean residents being descendants of abduction victims" with the concrete evidences and numbers. 前田:It's an essential book for everyone to read at least once. 井尻:Now it's time. 大高:Thank you for staying through the end. 一同:Thank you. 前田:Please stay tuned in to the Channel Sakura. 大高:All right, good bye.

1 M:(0:00) Mr. Watanabe, I think the biggest issue is the Nanjing incident. W:(0:03) It's the easiest example to understand. M:(0:04) It's a problem. I read their handwritten letters to their wives and brothers. (0:26) I read many things and I came to a conclusion that I can't believe the Nanjing Massacre. (0:31) They said (0:34) that "they set up the safety zone to protect 100 thousand innocent civilians there". (0:40) The population was about 100 thousand then as many people had probably evacuated. (0:44) "They tried to protect those people." "They did it on behalf of the god. They asked the KMT not to mount a battery there and the Japanese army not to fire a cannonball into them. But the KMT was so outrageous to mount a battery in the safety zone." I saw a stack of letters with these kinds of things written in them. (1:00) They said this eventually. (1:04) It's something like "We protected 100 thousand innocent civilians as this way." (1:08) If this is the fact, the Nanjing Massacre should be denied. (1:18) If the Nanjing Massacre is the fact, those preachers lied. (1:25) Then which is correct ? We can half expect the answer. W:(1:30) I was also interested in that long ago and read the record of the Tokyo tribunal. (1:35) Then I found a preacher Maggie had testified the massacre. M: Yes, it was Mr. Maggie.
2 W:(1:37) He was a leader of the Red Cross and moved around China. (1:45) He testified "he had heard about the massacre here and there", (1:50) but cross-examined by an American lawyer "how many victims he had witnessed". (2:00) Then he answered he had witnessed "only one". (2:04) And asked "how the victim had been slaughtered", (2:09) he answered, in the so called safety zone, M:(2:11) Yes, it's the safety zone. W: a Chinese man had run through the sentries on the road. (2:20) Sentries had ordered him to stop but he hadn't. (2:23) Then Mr. Maggie had seen him gunned down. (2:24) Can we call this a slaughter ? M: Definitely not. (2:28) The documents contain Mr. Maggie's letters too. W:(2:30) We can't, can we ? He could be shot now if he runs away when ordered to "stop" by the police in New York. (2:35) No wonder it happened in the battlefield. M: You are definitely right. (2:38) We should validate evidences and produce proofs to support the truth of the Nanjing incident. W:(2:47) Do you have any idea to collect all of those preachers' letters ? M:(2:50) They are in the theologic school. It's a private story but I sometimes participate in a certain study meeting held once a month. (3:00) We should collect and investigate them. W: We should collect and translate them.
3 M:(3:03) We have translated many of them. (3:05) I asked questions based on them at Foreign Affairs Committee meeting but MOFA officials didn't know them at all. (3:11) They said "they weren't able to study them as being short-handed" just as they did for the issue of the abandoned chemical weapons. (3:15) I think it's not a big problem whether we are short-handed but we should make our best efforts to solve this issue of national pride. W:(3:20) They should be published with full English texts. M:(3:25) I wish you could instruct it. W:(3:28) It's certainly important. One of my works last year was to summarize the Lytton Report. (3:34) Why the Lytton Report is important is, (3:37) because it says " the Manchurian Incident wasn't the invasion". (3:40) The report was ignored at the Tokyo tribunal. (3:46) The League of Nations sent representatives from five nations to investigate the conditions for as long as several months and issued the report. However as it contained something Japan didn't want to agree, Mr. Matsuoka who was a bit stupid guy made Japan leave the League of Nations. (4:00) Those who have read the report should know it wasn't the invasion. (4:01) The judge Pal also said, "Why wasn't the report taken up at the Tokyo tribunal ?", (4:10) and "It's been recognized at the international conference that Japan didn't invade Manchuria.". (4:15) Why doesn't Japan have a rhetoric to insist on this fact ?
4 M:(4:21) I asked about it many times at a Foreign Affairs Committee meeting but they said, "It's a private sector's job.". (4:28) I don't think a private sector could do that. Our enemy has had an ideologic struggle as a national commitment for a propaganda. W:(4:28) That's right. They have sneaked into everywhere in the US to spread the orthodoxy of the CCP. W:(4:40) That's unbelievable. M: I think an American opinion is actually an international opinion now. W:(4:45) Ummm. M: An international opinion exists only in the US, therefore an American opinion makes the world go around. (4:50) The US leads the fields of entertainments and sports, and all other fields. (4:52) Something I think strange about this issue is, for example that book by Iris Chang has been released and most of the world say, "Japanese are outrageous.". (5:00) How much have Japanese controverted that book ? All photos in the book are fake without the professor Higashinakano's explanation. W:(5:07) Yes, every one of them... M: They are fake. Enlarging a photo captioned "the crowd of farmers to be executed", you can find smiling faces. W:(5:16) Hahahaha. M: How could people to be executed smile ? (5:20) A composer Koichi Sugiyama, a friend of mine said, "It's going to cost $90 thousand an ad to place those photos as an advocacy ad in the Newsweek". (5:30) Though it could cost that much, we don't have to prepare a proof for "the fact".
5 (5;40) It's because some originals photos that Iris Chang had showed in her book were found in the other sources such as the Asahigraph. (5:44) He said, "We'll be able to say, "This is the original of this photo. The captions are different."." and "Iris Chang wrote they had been to be slaughtered but the fact is the crowd of laughing farmers just going to work, guarded by the Japanese army.". Then he said, "Let's place ads on the Newsweek with $90 thousand. We don't need any proofs as the photos can be the proofs themselves.". (6:01) Then I said, "That's a good idea.". W:(6:05) Super ! M: I told Mr. Aso about the idea at a Foreign Affairs Committee meeting. W:(6:09) Assuming 54 ads a year... M: It's going to cost $5 million. W: It's small as a budget. M:(6:16) It's cheap. W: I mistook the Times for the Newsweek at the time and said it would cost $33 million if we placed an ad everyday, 365 days a year. (6:27) I said, "It's cheap compared with $1.8 billion of the contribution to the UN. It's much better to cut $33 million and spend it for those ads.". (6:35) A MOFA official said, "Let's not do that as it could never settle the issue.". (6:39) It doesn't matter if it couldn't and it's better than nothing. W:(6:41) As they always show fictions, we will show proved facts, not fictions. M:(6:46) However, Mr. Watanabe, the problem is the idea was rejected. (6:48) The Newsweek employs three lawyers. (6:52) Mr. Sugiyama also said, "Mr. Matsubara, it's difficult against the three lawyers". And I said, "Why couldn't we do $90 thousand business with a mere commercial journalism ?".
6 (7:00) However, the idea was rejected. (7:03) It's because "it was against the tone of the Newsweek's argument". W: It was the time the government should have done something. They should have made it a diplomatic problem insisting "we would admit their rejection if our ads were fake but it wasn't fair to reject ads about the facts". M:(7:22) It makes sense. We should make it that far. W: I guess those lawyers would have no reason to reject ads about the facts. M:(7:38) They said our ads were "against their tone of argument" but we wonder whose tone they had adopted. W:(7:40) It's important. M: There are insane numbers of Chinese lobbyists in the US. W:(7:45) It's been their tradition since the Sino-Japanese war and Soong May-ling. (7:53) Being a member of the Zhejiang business combine, Soong May-ling was a protestant. Therefore her husband Chiang Kai-shek pretended to be a protestant. (8:00) They spread a propaganda like "infidel Japanese bullied Chinese". M: Well, it's good. W:(8:12) For example, when they got $90 million of an assistance at first, they got $18 million as a kickback and spent it for a propaganda. (8:23) When they got $900 million next, they spent $180 million for a propaganda. And this messed up the Sino-Japanese war. M:(8:27) It got bigger and bigger. W: Yes, it did. W:(8:30) It's been one of the Chinese cultures to bribe. M:(8:35) I think it's also one of the American cultures. And I think they feel guilty about "nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki".
7 W:(8:46) You are right. M: They say, "Japan was so outrageous to deserve being nuked". (8:52) Conservatives in the US support this logic. W:(8:54) They want to comfort their consciences by that. M:(8:58) That's right. The Chinese anti-Japan propaganda combined with the American "sense of guilt" has made the ideology of evil Japan more widely supported. (9:12) It's going to appear this year as the 70th anniversary of Nanjing's fall. The seven movies featuring the Nanjing Massacre are being made. W:(9:19) This is a horrendous condition. M: It's horrendous. Unless we controvert it, it will become an accomplished fact someday. W:(9:28) It surely will. M: I want the government to ascertain the issue for goodness sake. (9:35) Those who know Nanjing at the time have gotten very old and they are dying off. (9:40) Now is the last time that we could collect their testimonies. Unless we make it haste, we will lose evidences that we will need to controvert their propaganda. W:(9:44) Then... おわり
These bogus goods won't just hurt your wallet...they can be dangerous. Counterfeit toys can present serious choking hazards or be painted with toxic chemicals.
Electronics also pose a serious threat. Products like fake light bulbs and humidifier components often come complete with forged electrical safety certification.
"And if it doesn't meet the certification standard for electrical articles that it purports to, then it can pose a fire hazard or a shock hazard to the consumer," Randazzo tells us.
Just as scary? Fake medical supplies. Some diabetic strips looked so real to legitimate stores…they ended up on shelves nationwide. The strips were recalled by the FDA this past December. They were for various models of the One Touch brand blood glucose monitors.
Carolina Joyner with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce says there are several cases of fake medical supplies making it to the market.
"We've also seen surgical products like PROLENE mesh. This is a product that would be used in a stomach surgery. A patient that was implanted with these products almost died," Joyner says.
Most of the products are coming from China. U.S. Customs is seizing shipments at the border.
High-rise hookers AT $240 an hour, these Korean sex workers could have worked off their fines before dinner yesterday, after appearing in a Southport court for illegal prostitution. The ad identified the sex workers as a 'uni party girl, just 18, Japanese, natural 36D, perfect backside'. The detectives, part of the Prostitution Enforcement Taskforce, arranged to meet the women for sex at apartments in the Artique and Q1 high-rise towers after responding to a classified advertisement in The Gold Coast Bulletin on February 9.

>>766 南京陥落当時の貴重な映像(1of5) その1 (0:02)(0:19) Zhongshan Gate, facing east and the front entrance from Shanghai. Ono, Katagiri, Isa and Fujii units of our army fought bravely here. (0:22)(0:41) At three AM On Dec. 13th, the corps of engineers made two slits on the city wall through desperate blasting operations. Afterward our army rolled into the city. Finally they hoisted the rising sun banner high on the wall in the cold midnight wind. (0:50)(1:00) The gate is the entrance to Zhongshan road, the straight artery of Nanjing. Therefore the enemy defend it desperately. (1:05)(1:19) The north entrance, Heping Gate. Sukegawa, Takeuchi and Okufuji units steered right and rode a distance to Xiaguan by Chang Jiang. They occupied here to cut off the enemy's retreat. (1:35)(1:46) The northwest entrance, Yijiang Gate. The enemy's desire to retreat and the loss of morale reached a peak here. (1:51)(2:11) Taken the city gates one after another by the siege, the enemy had to get away through this Yijiang Gate. They were so upset that they hanged these kinds of long stuffs on the wall and barely escaped. (2:13)(2:35) After all, they were left inside of the wall as their army closed and locked the gate from outside. They somehow had to get over the high wall to get away. Then they made the long stuffs to dangle on by tying whatever they found, such as a band, leggings, a torn cloth and a rope.
2 (2:46)(2:59) They took their uniforms off after getting over the wall desperately. They threw their uniforms around. Then they wore everyday clothes and ran away. (3:01)(3:28) They were attacked by the enemy from behind and the retreat was cut off. There was a heap of sandbags inside of Yijiang Gate to prepare for the enemy from outside. But they found it nothing but an obstacle while getting away. (3:32)(3:38) Though they were the exact enemy, it's a pity to see this terribly miserable defeat. (3:52)(4:03) An enemy's donkey is chased by our army's tank. It looks like indicating its master's destiny. (4:09)(4:15) Going straight out of Yijiang Gate, we'll get to Xiaguan by Chang Jiang. It's spelled 'Under' and 'Barrier'. (4:16)(4:27) Here is the front entrance of Nanjing if we came through the channel. Jiang Jieshi had planned to escape on a boat from here but he chickened out and fled by plane. (4:31)(4:39) Launches with trucks on them sailing now mean our army is marching into the other side of the river. (4:42)(5:00) The battleships offshore are our fleet that brought the enemy's ports under control while avoiding dangerous mines and traps and arrived here at 5 PM on 13th. They waited for the enemy coming to cross the river and annihilated them.

In other pay-per-view fights, Morton makes his debut against Bernard Ackah and 40-year-old MMA legend Royce Gracie fights Kazushi Sakuraba. Very Disgusting, No Worth to Visit, December 19, 2004 Reviewer: Devlinos - See all my reviews Here are some thread titles from japan today forum.
Do u understand the J-english? If All the Muslims were Zapped off the face of the Earth KKK in Japan Do Japanese eat bird sushi? Osaka Devil Woman Can someone explain why all Japanese have "crooked legs"? Do Japanese brush their teeth ?>?>? Has anybody seen... CRAZY J-ENGRISH <^!^> i always feel japanese mindset (or culture) is not mature! Is the japanese [...] different? Why do Asians tend to have thicker legs??? How do you feel about SINGLE EYELIDS ?? Girls with small eyes
I would like to say the site is one of the expressing your hatred sites. If you are looking for some useful information about Japan, I recommend japan-guide.com There are 3 admins in Japan Today, they have some sort of political intention which making the forum Anti-Japan. A lot of good japan today forum members have left and started their own Japan forums because they were sick of vulger trolls.
Worst forum relating to Japan., December 7, 2004 Reviewer: I love Japan (Japan) - See all my reviews If I could give the Japan Today stars for being the worst forum relating to Japan I would give it 5. But sticking with the system I just find the forum plain bad so it gets a "1 star".
The reason: This site would be good if just the people who had interest in Japan or lived in Japan posted there. Unfortunately because of its size most of the posters there just use it as big audience to rant about America Canada or what ever country they believe is better than Japan. This is encouraged by the moderators. One in particular Bryn until recently never had been to Japan (I still don’t think she has). Constantly rants on about how bad the US is. I don’t mind this so much as it is a topic raised on Japanese forums. But what I do disapprove of is the way she uses her position, so her arguments can not be countered. She often solicits male forum members into having "private" relationships. To me she is just a lonely spinster that sits in front of the forum 24/7. If you don’t believe me post something that you think she will not agree with an watch it disappear instantly.
On a different note most of the moderators seem to be fundamentalist Christians. I say no harm in religion but don’t let it hinder free discussion. On this forum it does. One of the moderators/administrators. Emailed my private email address when I told him to go. I was warned I would get a 3 day ban. (I have it on good authority that this guy is out to get me, just for swearing) It was my own god dammed private email address, is that fair?
Other accepted behaviour is from the "black" community represented on the forum particularly by the Moderator Tanukigyrl. Reverse racism towards whites is encouraged. Its is acceptable to call any white member a racist. You cant even defend yourself or your defence gets deleted. I don’t even see why black/white American issues are encouraged on a board geared toward Japan.
Anti-Japan viewpoints are actively encouraged by the moderators and the moderation policy. I myself feel this harbours racism which I know is against many web hosting policies and you can get your domain name revoked. I could see this happening if there were enough complaints. I find it particularly displeasing since many of the sponsors are either Japanese or people who have business with Japanese.
What galls my and others the most. Is that the moderation policy can not me questioned at all. Primarily that means publicly, you are given the option of privately, through a ticket system or Private message. But this is a false promise as nothing will be done anyway. If you have a complaint about a particular moderator, using the ticket system is pointless as the moderator that is harassing you will close the ticket...
From their own moderation policy. “We accept Moderators with both pro- and anti-Japan viewpoints.” If I had a forum about Black people would it be acceptable to recruit Anti-Black people? I think not.
What has all this got to do with Japan? Yes that’s right nothing. The best part of the whole Japan today site is the Pop Vox where you get real options from reap people in Japan. I would like to see more of this.
Terrible website, November 11, 2004 Reviewer: Chiaki Okabe - See all my reviews Someone said earlier regarding this website: "Honestly and after reading some of the negative reviews, i should say that tehy're not true and those people should take some time to actually go there and see how things work and all the info that is available... instead of making reviews of sites they never even visited."
I am going to have to disagree with this comment. I visit and enjoy many non-biased websites that pertain to Japan, its people and culture, and sad to say I simply cannot include this site as one of them. Its amazing to see so many sexist and racist people posting in one place. One would think if they have such a deep-seated hatred for Japan and its people they would be able to find something else more constructive to do with their time (or if they are currently living there then maybe they should take themselves back home). I feel the same way towards the people who run this site as well. The only good part of this whole mess is the PopVox section, albeit minus the poster's comments that are absolutely sickening and/or inane 99% of the time.
The owner has no respect to Japanese, November 3, 2004 Reviewer: otsuka (Japan) - See all my reviews The owner is not japanese but he wrote that a typhoon storm that killed Japanese and distroyed houses was a crap storm. He makes money from japan but doesnt care about dead or hurt people in my country. Very bad.
Strange censorship, September 20, 2004 Reviewer: guhhhh - See all my reviews Tibet related threads are oftenly ---secretly--- deleted. Criticizing China is OK but the Tibet issue seems really hit their nerve. Some moderators and admins have clear intention to lead the discussions to anti Japanese or Americans.

Anti-Japan Today, August 27, 2004 Reviewer: Hnsd - See all my reviews The site should be renamed "Anti-Japan Today" or "Anti-America Today" The Admin's "Discrimination against Japanese is acceptable because Japanese is not a race" was disappointment.
Chock Full of Hatemongering Chinese, August 20, 2004 Reviewer: fugue - See all my reviews Japan Today, esp. the news section, has been flooded and tarnished by tons of Chinese posters from hate-mongering Chicom nationalist sites for years. It could be a good site if you love to hate Japan. If you like the country or are a Japanese yourself, it's not a pleasant place to frequent.
>>768 南京陥落当時の貴重な映像(2of5) (0:11)(0:18) On Dec. 17th, Nanjing triumphal ceremony was held as a glorious page of the world history. (0:19)(0:40) There was no cloud in the sky of Jiang Nan on this day. I had never seen such fair sky. Awe-inspiring prince Asaka, the general Matsui and other army and navy officers rode horses from Zhongshan Gate to the nationalist government office showing the great dignity. (2:48)(2:53) They held a national flag hoisting ceremony at 2 pm in the inner court of the nationalist government office. (2:54)(3:46) The national anthem of Japan. (3:59)(4:13) The emperor sent them rice wine, snacks, kelp etc. to congratulate the army. The big congratulatory banquet was held at 2:45 pm in the meeting hall of the nationalist government. (4:41)(5:02) Though they cheered at that big banquet, it was a sad sight to see when dead soldiers were being burnt by their brothers in arms in front of Zhonghuaxi Gate. Those soldiers had charged and died bravely in the first stage of the fight. (5:34)(5:54) They are being burnt to an ash with their passions for an overseas battle. They devoted themselves to the nation to the last minute in this foreign land.
(3of5) (1:09)(1:31) It's surprising and impressive here, these wounded soldiers are cared well by kind Yamato women as you see. However, they all desire to return to duty and get on the front line as soon as possible. (1:34)(1:41) Ordered to return to duty, they will dance a little jig of joy and others will envy them terribly. (1:43)(2:48) A speech to congratulate soldiers' return to duty. (2:49)(2:59) Cheers for soldiers' return to duty. (4:12)(4:19) The troops come out of the city gate of Nanjing now and where are they marching to in a dignified way ? (4:22)(4:44) Of course, the war isn't over yet. Though Nanjing nationalist government has gotten away, anti-Japan government still exists. Though it has become a mere local feudal regime, we have to assume Jiang's longtime resistance will start in full swing from now. (4:45)(4:57) They will persist to the bitter end with guerrilla and brutal strategies. If the enemy intend to resist us for long, we will also intend to punish them for long. (4:58)(5:18) The fall of Nanjing doesn't mean more than we get the thin edge of the wedge to construct the true East. Then let's pray for the longtime fortune of our soldiers charging forward and the earliest possible peace of the East and establishment of Japan-Sino friendship.
(4of5) (0:03)(0:06) International Committee for Nanjing Safety Zone consists of 22 people from overseas. (0:08)(0:18) They administrated the refugee camp where many regular soldiers hid themselves first, hiding weapons and ammunition. (0:19)(0:28) However, after our army mopped up those soldiers, we can guess how relieved the real refugees are. (0:31)(0:45) They were able to remove the obsession with criminal hunt finally. Then they hoisted the handmade rising sun banners and made friends with Japanese soldiers. (0:51)(0:55) Look at these people, and these children. (1:02)(1:12) Our soldiers didn't start fighting against these people. (1:12)(1:27) They worked on the stringing construction. They had to finish it as soon as possible to light up Nanjing where had been under the complete blackout. (1:30)(1:39) They filled the trenches everywhere around the city. They repaired the roads. (1:40)(1:44) The city gradually got lively. (1:47)(1:52) They can't literally abandon a fallen horse here. (1:56)(1:59) We hear cheerful laughter in many places now. (2:07)(2:11) The people are all in a mood for reconstruction now. (2:16)(2:35) A Japanese news paper has already been here. The soldiers who have read it know how Tokyo residents were moved to hear of the fall of Nanjing, and they can't help smiling brightly. (2:37)(2:44) A pro-Japan poster instead of an anti-Japan poster says the Japanese army brings a peace wherever it goes. (2:48)(3:02) Civilians come back in a stream now. They were totally worn out due to the catastrophe but might get their strengths back enough to be able to go home.
(5of5) (0:01)(0:07) Our new year doesn't begin without the ornamental pine gate anyway. (0:09)(0:17) Therefore, being in the overseas capital, the soldiers from each unit made efforts to build the pine gates. (0:21)(0:30) However, as they hardly found pine trees in Nanjing city, they went all the way to suburban Zijinshan to get them. (0:33)(0:45) The soldiers look very familiar with woodwork. They can be called the professionals or they were possibly the real professionals when in Japan. - Detail explanation for the ornamental pine gate. - (1:02)(1:05) They are done with it at last. (1:13)(1:20) They use the sandbags used for the bloody war. It's an excellent waste material utilization. (1:37)(1:44) We are at the army assembly. The economy looks good around here. Varieties of foods have just arrived. (1:47)(2:00) There is a huge pile of special foods for the new year cerebration. (2:07) Rice cake pounding. (2:56) They pound rice cakes also as professionals do. (4:16)(4:19) The first sunrise of the year 1938 in Nanjing. (4:25)(4:30) Here is another pine gate in front of the former nationalist government. Decorations of straw rope hang on the gate. (4:36) Chinese children explode firecrackers. おわり

>>825 その1 (00:01) Smash them up ! (00:07) Don't kill me ! (00:11) Frequent riots have broken out in rural areas. About 87,000 riots, a record high, broke out in rural areas last year. (00:19) Chinese farmers' dissatisfaction toward economic disparity has grown as never before. (00:26) We contacted a keyman who knew an actual situation in China. (00:37) Mr. Son Ling is a leader of Chinese pro-democracy activities. He leads the Asian chapter of Chinese pro-democracy group that consists of about 60,000 members in the world. (00:48) We talked with Mr. Son who cooperated with rioters for a series of riots in rural areas, about an actual situation in China. (00:57) Riots have gotten more violent since the latter half of last year. (01:02) Because of area developments related to the Olympics and everything else, (01:06) some village people and CCP leaders forcibly buy farmlands (01:15) and pay only one tenth or one tenths of standard land prices. (01:24) It's an interest group. The CCP has already become an interest group. That is not for communism. (01:34) When those farmers stood up to demand the CCP to guarantee their human rights, what waited for them was..... (01:40) the repression.
>>825 その2 (01:44) At night, thousands of army soldiers and armed police surrounded the village and they suddenly fired guns and machine guns. (01:58) They suppressed evidences by burning off slaughtered defenseless farmers and flushing them away with water. (02:06) So the next morning after it was light, no one was able to know what had happened. (02:11) So even if dozens of farmers had been slaughtered, they were treated as missing persons. (02:18) People in the world hardly know the threat of Red China. (02:18) The slaughtered farmers. The shocking accusation by the Chinese pro-democracy group..... (02:21) "Please help my husband ! I'll sell my kidney to save him !" (02:27) So Japanese should know more about China. (02:30) I mean the real China. (02:33) And Japanese should know more about the real Chinese communist regime. (02:37) We can accept the Red China threat theory but not the China threat theory. おわり
