K-tan, we're far apart from each other now. But I swear that sometime in the future I'll be there for you and take you out wherever you want. So forgive me for leaving you alone a little more while.
Let me introduce myself to you. I am 36 years old. I work at a warehouse, called slavery box. my monthly salary is not up to \100 000. My hobby is 2ch.
>>1 I didn't know you were able to creat a new thread, I mean, I didn't know you knew how! Well done! I thought you were slow. You were horribly idiotic before. But now you proved you're quick but still idiotic. Thanks.
>>19 Or I could give you the one Anonymous is giving me.. Can't think of what I'd do with a big sphere of plasma..
>>4 Umm.. Yeah.. something. >>12 Actually, nobody asks me out. Well, not seriously at least. Most people know I have a long-term boyfriend. >>15 That's cute, i guess. I wonder how the gravity fields of this solar system would get affected. :-)
>>37 chuck him as quickly as possible. He does you harm. I am the only person who can make you happy Plus the most suitable guy that you give your virgin.
>>44 Your k-tan? Are you kidding? I didn't know she mentioned it. Anyway, I think she doesn't like anyone who's so obstinate that they can't/won't hear her.
>>65 Scary. Surprisingly attractive considering the amount of fat, though. Kudos to her for managing to look as good considering the circumstances. She should try to loose some weight though, for the sake of health.
When you cook and serve someone you love, if they say it's not delicious and there're leftovers on the plates, what should you do with them? Keep them in the fridge for now?
>>69 Perhaps girls dislike your hobbies with idols because they see that as a sign of unrealistical expectations of female physique that they will never be able to maintain and that you in their opinion have no right to demand?
>>71 Ehh.. Depends on the food? People dislike food for often one of two reasons: 1. They dislike some ingredient used in it. 2. The food was poorly done, perhaps burned.
In the former case, it doesn't matter what you do if it has the flavour of that ingredient. They're going to dislike it regardless of if the dish in itself is normally regarded as delicious. If the person who disliked it is the one who is going to eat it later, then that probably isn't a great idea to save it. If someone else is, then you can save the leftovers for later.
>>78 I just came up with the best solution to your problem. You might want to go out with your idol. How about visiting a event in which you can meet her and shake hands?
>>79 Or those girls will have unrealistical expectations of male physique because of their idol worship. Depends on the girl.
>>76 Depends on the girl. I like computers, but that's just me. There are a lot of people that fear that their partner loves their video/computer-games more than them. That their partner will cut out important relationship time to be able to squeeze in more time with their games. Essentailly, they're afraid of becoming the "other woman/man" with your computer being the one you're really having a relationship with.
A female gamer friend had once had a boyfriend who kept being afraid she'd dump him because of that he wasn't enough of a computer geek. She dumped him because he was a bastard, not because of that he wasn't a computer geek. He was so much of a bastard he even got tossed into jail for being a pedophile. -_-;; Stupid people. I'm glad she got rid of him. But yess. She dated a programmer/gamer and they're married now.
>>89 I tried so a few times, but security shits took on behalf of them( probably because of security). I haven't received even a thanks letter from idols.
>>84 I'm going to watch the final episode tonight. So far it's been great and I've really enjoyed it. I'm going to try to find the book. It's the first J-drama series I've watched and has really gotten me interested. So far I've only used anime for listening practice, from now on I'll probably watch a lot more dramas than anime. Next on my list is Tiger And Dragon that someone here recommended to me.
>>90 Heh.. Like I said, I already have a boyfriend. We very much are not only madly in love with eachother, but I really couldn't have a better boyfriend. He's insanely wonderful and sweet, and I love him dearly.
>>91 Who're your idols, by the way? Think they're too famous/popular to remember who they have to cherish. My advice is: Leave them for as new an idol as possible.
>>92 Densha Otoko was the first J-drama series I saw too. My sisters were very pleased, they thought that meant that I was going to watch more drama series with them. But nope.. Not enough time.
>>93 Chances are that he will change his mind to leave for another woman, not now, but some other time later. I know I'm being rude, but >>76 seemed so miserable... Think he can do without you now.
>>98 Well yes, but those chances are very slim and unrealistical. And I agree, >>76 should be cheered up. I hope he finds someone more suitable for him soon. :-)
>>106 No, I haven't read any manga. I prefer reading short stories and easy news articles I find on the internet or reading and doing translations on 2ch. A lot of my study time is taken up with vocabulary flashcards on my PocketPC. >>108 This thread is cool. Why don't you like it?
Hey guys, let's talk about which idol do you like the best. For me it's Shoko Nakagawa known as "Shokotan".She's cute, she's bright, she's OTAKU !Wow,what else we expect on her?
You know it's really Christmas when you see all the girls on the 2ch ad banners wearing santa hats. "No Chat, No Christmas" more strange English. I went on that BB Chat Tv site once and they all have live web cams and are sitting there waiting for people to talk to. I felt sorry for them for some reason. Are those kind of sites very popular in Japan?
>>122 Yeah, he is. He's taking level 3. I hope it goes as well as he wishes it to. I had sorta forgotten about it being now soon though. I was distracted by other events.
>>136 You have to be very dedicated to pass level 1. I'm going for it next year or the year after. I know Americans and Brits who have passed it. At the moment I know over 2000 kanji and about 3500 words so I think I'll be ready for it by next year.
>>141 Much longer than 900 hours if you study without a teacher. I have a special mnemonic system and software that has let me learn over 2000 kanji in less than a year. Anyway, I've got to go now. Bye
The problem on national pension is quite common among many inderstrial countries such UK USA Germany and Japan. if you don't pay the monthly fee and remain being NEET, you might be died of hunger...
keep foreigners out of japan!! secure a future for the beautiful japanese culture. keep the japanese land with a japanese character. your children will thank you.
japanese children should not be tormented by false chinese allegations. english readers please visit my refutation of nanking incident: http://tamezou.blogspot.com/ going to work now, good day.
really? are all americans able to speak fast as well as you? i sometimes feel that there are some americans whose english is difficult to listen to even for americans. are yu sure that you can listen to all the pronounced words?
no american has made it clear, but i want to ask you, what is the standard english of america? new yourk english or middle west english? an american whom i know said to me middle west english is the standard, but another said it wasnt. i thought for a while that english spoken around los angelsis the standard. how do you think of that?
im suffering from a new yorker who trys to spit everywhere. according to him, everyone can spit everywhere in new york, even on the floor at a company. is it true? i cant belive him.
>>196 Are you in New York right now? I am. Spitting on the floor outside is fine, though, poilte people would never do it. Well, if you are in New York you see how fucking disgusting the floors are on the streets, so it's cool.
The one thing I really hate about NYC is how filthy the streets. I've been all over the US, parts of Europe and Asia, and whenever I come back home I get depressed. It's not the peoples fault either, sometimes you'll walk a mile in the streets and wont see a public trash can.
>>190 Actually you're wrong. Austrailian, British, Celtic, South African and even Candaian English can all be considered different dialects of English. The accents are different, the innotantions are different and so is some (but not all of the vocabulary). Sure we can all understand each other, but they are different forms of English just like Kansai Japanese differs from Tohoku Japanese.
what? I don't know. It's just because there're so many fans of her, aren't there?
We were talking about Yukorin and what's important in learning English. If you don't want to, though, I don't want to talk you into going along with our line.
When I walked up the street the other day, I heard a pop, though melodious, song from a CD store, which turned out to be Yukorin's song. Did you know she had her CDs released and it was selling well? Obviously, she could use another year to be selected in the year end program of NHK. But her voice is good. I hope another song will be sold soon.
The streets in the UK are quite dirty too. There isn't much litter but most city center pavements are coated with dirt and chewing gum. Smaller towns and residential streets are much cleaner though. >>206 I've read that some banks in Japan refuse to serve gaijin. Is that true? Someone on a forum I read wrote that he went into a bank with his Japanese wife and they said they only deal with Japanese then asked him to leave.
>>219 Who wrote that? I don't think any bank refuse only because of nationalities, at least when you try to open a savings acount. I don't know about mortgedge, though. But if you were a Japanese, they would refuse to deal with you if you are not believed to get money back. Isn't it the same in your country?
>>219 According to the civil law in Japan, MAS, even people from overseas have almost the same right to live in Japan, though you can't establish banking companies. So I think it was a breach of the law if the bank cleark refused to deal with them because of nationalities.
It would be ridiculous if Yukorin goes to other nations than the Korin planet and japan, and couldn't be served because she was from the Korin planet!!
>>223 Thanks. But, um, he sounds a bit dubious to me... He said he worked for a colledge, which meant he should've had a good credit. I can't think such a person is mistreated... Even if it's true, his wife should call for the manager of the bank. It should've been a diffent story.
And I'm sorry to say this, MAS, some of those posts I read are a little bit overstated, I think. If I look closely into a stranger in a car, he/she will feel awkward or even harassed... That'd happen to me, not because they're from other nations.
Honestly, lots of Japanese, maybe most, can't understand English, especially elderly people. So when you're here, if you talk to such people but they avoid talking back to you, then it is not because they discriminate against you, but because they just can't understand you and just haven't been used to overseas people.
>>230 If you don't care, how about chatting in Japanese?
Not to change the subject, but how do you feel when you hear Japanese people say foreigner or foreign people or gaijin? I heard before that it was a derogatory terms to non-Japanese, so I've tried not to use it. But I sometimes see them using it on thier own. Why? Did I care too much?
>>232 I don't think I'm confident enough to chat in Japanese. I'm still to slow. Hope to get much better while I'm studying in Japan. I have to say that I do find "gaijin" derogatory, but I try not to let it bother me. Do you think I will be addressed as Ogaijin-san by shop assistants? People who use "gaijin" to refer to themselves (like on the above forum) must always think of themselves as the outsider in Japan, which is a pity and probably makes things worse for them.
>>190 > there really aren't differnet dialects of english. an english speak from > Boston or New York will be able to understand a speaker from Sydney or London
A dialect is a complete system of verbal communication (oral or signed but not necessarily written) with its own vocabulary and/or grammar.
Varieties of language such as dialects, idiolects and sociolects can be distinguished not only by their vocabulary and grammar, but also by differences in phonology (including prosody). If the distinctions are limited to phonology, one often uses the term accent of a variety instead of variety or dialect.
hi! I am that guy who asked for advices few days ago!! now I walked with a girl and she said something like "I never tell that to anyone, I think I just need to tell it" what does it means?
Hello. Nice to meet you. I am a student of Osaka gakuin University and sophomore. My major is Business Administrative siences. I do not do a byte, but There are a lot of savings. Because I saved money in high school days. I go to Hawaii university for the training in spring.
こんにちわ This is my first time on this website. いぎりすじんです。I'm learning Japanese but I haven't been doing it for very long. Oh well. One day, I will be better!
I am very emotional! I am so called EMO! but I dont like emo music !!! but I can't stop being emo, cuz I am emo from the birth! sometimes I can't even sleep cuz I got to many stupid emotions! fuck me please! I am suck a dork
An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality true for me! why? because I am the fake the fake!!! 1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie) I am sensitive guy!
hey... now I completely understand that! I mistake love and just friendship now here the problem! that girl.. we must see each other because of something. I can act coldly. but I dislike it, because I lose my concentration. how to act??? but I am very glad that love is lost!
HI.. I need to ask you about love again!!! the question is that I met a girl I tell about it before. I am very beautiful etc. we like each other I think but the thing is that I dont have friends, not because I am boring bot because of some troubles in my past! and it's like the girl is know it, she ask a questions about it.. if you're a girl tell me what do you thing about guys like me? i am not nerd or anything...
and like every lonely guy I am crazy about design cloth! now I am wearing my awesome coat and trying to decide which scarf to use with it! when I look at my cloth I am cheered up a little. I like scarf by sonia rykiel but its cost 700$!!! it's fucking crazy
>>331 r u native? I mean I am just not native speaker... lol. do you know what I am doing now? I am dancing alone with my coat put on and my nice scarf(it's a girly scarf, but I dont care, cuz I like it)
Im running from nothing. I don't understand every single word u r saying . u r just a piece of fuckin trash . Would u fucking leave here? don't come back here.
I don't have a clue for what you're driving at. To me, From scratch, anybody elucidate a flow of talking on the board?? At any time I see on the board, why you're driving so mad?? Please remain calm!!
He flied off the handle when Yukorin was not at home. His wife might've felt he shouldn't have taken his anger out on her. She didn't like his husband frowned and put on a long face like that.
But at this point I have a question. Yukorin is from the Korin planet. Her parents are from...where? I guess they've inhabited anywhere in Japan, not the planet. Then did they adopted Yukorin as foster parents?
>>372 You feel stessful?? Under the weather?? oh, I'm anxious for you r mental health. Physical health condition's fine?? If you have time to go hospital, should diagnose your health condition ASAP. Stressful life so bad for your health.
>>256 I'm glad you have a dictionary. You're not fully appreciating the differences in the "varieties" of English. They do at times go well beyond phonology. And by your definition, Kansai Japanese or any of the other various dialects in Japan are not dialects at all...
>>387>>385 the fact is sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't... why are you two arguing for? obviously you don't know much about the world and languages in general... think of russians, ukrainian, belorussian and other russian dialects inside the russian federation. belorussian and ukrainian are strictly speaking dialects of russian, but they both attained the status as separate languages coz Ukraine and belorussia are separate countries now. other russian dialects inside russia are still considered as "dialects" because it's inside the federation... and think of other examples like spanish and english. people speaking these two languages are not that bothered about differentiating their languages from the original forms. they are not bothered. that is all. so some want their regional dialects turn into full national languages, whilest the others don't really bother.
Yukorin implied her fart smelt very good, but I can't believe human fart was so aromatic like vanilla ice cream, can you? I don't want to doubt her, but the idea that she covered something up haunted me like a ghost. What do you think she might hide from public audience?
So, you say she is famous, right? How famous? like, Does she have a successful movie career? Or does she have a hit single? What's great about her? What exactly is her acomplishment?
>>396 In my view, she didn't want us to think her fart was actually very stinging. It could hurt for an idol if her fart was considered horriblly smelly.
>>404 You seem to take it so seriously about idols, I guess, that they couldn't get famous without any successful story. But To put it this way, she got successful when she became famous as an idol, don't you think?
>>408 I guess you seem to take it "so" seriously about idols "that" they couldn't get famous without any successful story. But to put it this way, she got successful when she became famous as an idol, don't you think?
I guess you seem to take it "so" seriously about idols "that" they couldn't get famous without any successful story.
you really think this sentence means what it was supposed to be meant? I really dont get it. Please explain how it's so. I am well aware that I might be the one who made a mistake!
>>419 i guess that depends some get a smash hit single some get a good role in a good movie or drama some sell a lot of photo books some do great in "varaety shows". I think thare must be something a idol does well!
>>429 Ok, ok. You're right. I was completely wrong.
By the way, people, Kikukawa Rei was well-educated, and she starred a hollywood movie before if I remember correctly. Does that mean she is a first-rate idol?
>>430 Yukorin seems to sort of fulfill the requirements. She got her CDs released and she sung in Utaban. She appeared in some dramas, though she's not starred any yet. Her photo books must've sold well. She is a regular memeber of warate-iitomo.
>>442 Do you like ample cleaves? Then what about Yuuka? Her breasts are huge enough to warm you up. Ah, is she still seeing Tumabuki Satoshi, by the way?
>>443 Yuuka? I hate her. her asset is only her brests. she is quite foolish. Besides She is too old. I don't completely care whether She keeps her sexual relation with Satoshi. I might fall in love with Saki Fukuda,a member of beautiful girls club31 or Emma Watson, an actress in Hurry Potter
>>446 Yeah, actually I did watch the commercial message before. I found Yukorin cuter than Saki. But all the things I know about her is she was in the cm. What else did she do? Is she supposed to be categorised as an idol?
If Emma Watson vicited in my warehouse and cought a glimpse of my working, She might respect my brave, dedicated and intelligent attitude at the work. And then she might fall in love with me. I'm waiting for the day. This is my dream
>>453 Did she come to Japan several days ago? Why not see her in person, anyway? Your mustles must appear very appealing to a teenage girl like Emma! Take a chance!!
>>457 Oh, she's still too young... 5 years later from now on, she'll be very sexy, though there's possibility that she'll get ugly and fat... Hope she'll grow as nicely as did she so far.
>>472 Huum... When she reaches 20, you are 41. Well, good news to you. She said in an interview that she loved brad pit(don't know how to spell out his name), who is over 40 even now!! So you can ask her out!!
>>473 Ordinary gils are unwilling to communicate with me, they hate my facial prejudice. because they are substantially stupid. but I don't mind at all. Emma is my medicine, easing me from much stress and fatigue.
>>474 Really? that's a good news , but partially. Brad Pitt is a handsome guy with abundant means. But she is too young to realize that I am the most suitable person who can give her true love.
warehouse boy! i am a girl I am almost 23. I readed your messages and I fall in love with you! I know you're not very beautiful, but we're the same! I want to meet you! please answer to this! my name is Hiromi
because not everybody borned in good/stable/wealthy families some of people dont have a father, some people experienced death of family members why dont you understand that idiot? you must be really loser!
in the distance there is a cloud but as im in an ok mood i can keep it away ........friends of the earth have asked me whether i would meet Tony Blair at downing street to discuss what our government is not doing about climate change ..i dont know if this will ever happen for certain.... it is rattling around in the back of my mind and concerns me a lot. i have no intention of being used by spider spin doctors to make it look like we make progress when it is just words. id love to know what you think but i cant ask. youd say oh ther e he goes again interfering and meddling in politics why doesnt he get on with the music and shut up. perhaps because i feel like a hypocrit if dont do anything, and equally feel like a hypocrit if i try getting involved. nobody wants to know. none of u s do, me included id love to forget about it like your average Times reader. wed all like it to go away. turn to to the rising sea and say come back later im busy right now. Blair has been uttering nonsense lately about kyoto and such, real la la stuff... looks like th eamerican right have finally eaten his mind... blah blah why on earth would i meet this man? o r perhaps that is exactly why i should. but i dont have powers of persuasion, i just have temper and an acid tongue.
hey!!! tell me what being handsome adds to the ability of finding girlfriend? I am so handsome that everytime I am looking at the mirror I want to fuck myself unknown girls on the street look at me with a warm smiles!(it's not that I care about it)
I dont have any friends. because of my troubled past and because I was idiot sometimes. but now I am grow-up a little and I want to be a great person. I can made such impression, but inside me my troubled past is still with me
Dear MAS, We need your honest opinion and advice. We have a speech evaluation thread here on the English board and it will enlighten us if you could tell us whether the pronunciation of our participants is acceptable or not. Since you are a native speaker of English, your words would mean a lot to us. Some of the speech files already uploaded are: http://academy4.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/english/1133712350/116
and a new comer has made an outstanding performance on:
>>564 受信PASS is the password for downloading the uploaded file. All the files except for 47 can be downloaded if you put "sample" in that 受信PASS field. The 受信PASS of 47 is "662".
>>565 Okay, I'll have a listen >>566 My favorite movie would be Chungking Express by Kar Wai Wong. I also like Kill Bill, Lost in Translation, and SinCity. I like intelligent, dark and stylish films. I don't listen to much music but like an American band called Tool.
I have watched LOST IN TRSNSTLATION too , and I don't understand why foreign people love this movie so much that it won some academy awards i don't rememver which one though .
>>568 Well, Tokyo is seen as a mysterious city to most westerners. If I was to watch a film set in London, it probably wouldn't impress me much. I like the music and the humor in it too.
My favote movie is Back to the FUture!!! It just cant get any better than that!!! When I was 12-13 I watched it everyday, i mean EVERYDAY!!! ...well,, i exggarate,, not every day probably 6 days a week. I don't know why I kept watching it again and again,.maybe I was really really into it and could not get away from the world it created. When Dad knocks Biff out, i mean that's just the best scene of all the movies. And the music ,the theme music, is amazing. It still gives me chill when I listend to it. I am sure that"s the best of all the movie music. People who made that movie are genius!!
Japan is for the Japanese. I have seen so many barbarians from Thailand here in a particular place of Tokyo and many of them seem to be engaged in illegal activities, such as prostitutions, drug sellings, and other crimes. Japan is for the Japanese, not for such inferior race!
hey!! now I understand what being handsome adds to ability of finding girls! yes, even i can't manage relationship, at least I can fuck whores for free!!! COOL!
