this isn't a shit thread! this is a GOLD thread! here thread rankings: part 1-5: SHIT part 5-10: ordinary part 10-20: good part 20-25: nice part 30-4x: GOLD
I want to have some sex with that Thai girl. She is a little bit cute and has got a pretty smile on her face. I want to suck her nipples and let my penus into her pussy until I come! I want to get her pregnant!
I won't take back what I said before. 4chan is the most fascinating place where everybody is nice and kind. I didn't find any other site in which kind guys get together.
>>24 Sounds great. Tell me more about your good knowledge on kanjis in 4ch. 4ch is the place to talk about Kanjis, as you know. People in there are greatly interested in them!
>>48 4-ch had a thread recently made linking a few threads here, including Part 29 of this thread, so some of the people are probably from there.
For clarification: 4-ch ( ttp://4-ch.net ) is a discussion site not affliated with 4chan 4chan ( ttp://4chan.org ) is an imageboard site with mostly porn and people being assholes world4ch ( ttp://world4ch.org ) is the discussion side of 4chan
Saying "4ch" leads to complete ambiguity over which you are refering to.
but right now my makimo.to doesn't seem to like me.. bah.. Could someone please check the url and see if it's been archived at some point within the next few days?
>>110 Very late. 1 pm. was supposed to have woken up four hours before, but i may be excessively tired due to being sick. didn't feel too well yesterday evening. I don't know. I'll have to wait and see.
>>124 it's banned in 4ch to talk about Yukorin. So I will never post there. Completely boring, isn't it? Why do they talk seriously? I want to talk about girls. That's why I prefer 2ch to 4ch.
With the current qualifying format, timing is everything, especially when weather is a factor. And weather was definitely a factor, Saturday at Suzuka with heavy rain, on and off, and constantly changing track conditions. Already at ease on the Japanese circuit, Ralf Schumacher took the track at the right time and converted his luck into a pole position with a lap of 1'46"106.
hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello With the lights out it’s less dangerous Here we are now Entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now Entertain us A mulatto An albino A mosquito My libido Yea
Yukorin isn't accepted in 4ch. the taste for girls, of Non-Japanese people, is absolutely different from us. So we seem to talk past each other, which leads me to think I'm a complete stranger in there.
That's why I don't like 4ch. Don't take it personally, though...
>>139 I think it's good to talk about something instead of girls. How about if you give up on the topic and get used to them? 4ch is a good site, if you want to talk with them.
A 22-year-old unemployed man was arrested Friday on suspicion of confining a high school girl for seven days in an apartment in Kohoku Ward, Yokohama.
According to police, Masatoshi Hanzawa rented a short-term lease apartment on Oct. 1 and confined the 18-year-old girl from Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama, in the apartment from 2 p.m. the same day. Hanzawa first met the girl through a mutual friend in August.
I hated Evangelion. All the characters pissed me off. The only reason I kept watching is becaus I heard they all died and WHAT DO YOU KNOW, EPISODES 25 AND 26 RAPE ME.
>>217 I'm 22 and I still don't get what the fuck happened in Evangelion. If you watched it at 9 and got it, your brain must be like the brain of philosopher Plato.
>>223 I suggest starting a blog. You can review movies, records, and posting musings on lifestyle with a blog. Then if you get a high readership professional magazines or websites will be more interested in hiring you.
everyone understand evangelion it's a show for junior highschool student. it was aired at prime time and get high ratings. especially last two episodes attract the non-otaku public
>>226 I am part of everyone. I dont get it. Explaining the meaning now.
I can't believe I'm back on 2ch. I haven't been since THursday. On Thursday I said “self you will not come back to 2ch because it is a place of scum, pervert, and losers” but here I am. Why am I here? Why am I so weak
>>229 Be more specific. That doesnt mean anything, your words. I can also say some vague like Evangelion is about the destruction of personality. That has no meaning.
Many non-otaku people like Evangelion, 10 years ago. I am not otaku and right now I am watching the anime Monster. It's very good. Actually I don't see an otaku that would like this, there is no panty shot, no robot crap, no harem orgy. It's just good story like a movie.
If the Chinese use oil at the same rate as Americans now do, by 2031 China would need 99 million barrels of oil a day. The world currently produces 79 million barrels per day and may never produce much more than that
when I look at the mirror i like my look. but when I look in two mirrors where I can see more I started to dislike myself a little. I am handsome of course but not amazing.
>>243 Are you speaking of Chernoble? I remember news from that. It was terrible because for a long time it was covered-up by the government, so many people from close city were becoming sick and getting cancer and did not know of it.
the best TV SHOW i ever seen, was TV in 2001/09/11. it was totaly awesome. better then any hollywood action movie, I was glued to TV and watched it all day.
tell me your school stories please! When I was in school, there was a shy guy who was bullied very hard. Almost everyday. I wonder why he did not killed himself and what he is doing now
>>253 no, he is not that type. seriously, If you read his messages then you notice that he is totaly innocent. anyway people who are was bullied in school and can't get over it are worthless
reading about warehouse boy makes me extremely sad, I really dont understand why he just do suicide, it's really better for him. we need to reduce sadness in the world, so if warehouse boy die there will be less sadness
this is my wildest sexual fantasy! I want to have a boyfriend(I am gay) nigger. Yeah, big negro with giant cock. I want to fuck him while yelling "YOU FUCKING NIGGER GO BACK TO AFRICA I LYNCHED YOUR GRANDPARENTS BACK IN 1919 YOU FUCKING SLAVE DIRTY NIGGER FROM GHETTO" and after I came into his ass. I give him very nice kiss in his face and say to him "I love you dear" I am not racist, that just my sexual fantasy
>>186 I had some waffles today too ^__^ My friend made them for me when I was hanging out with him. They were plain though, with jam and whipped cream, but tasted nice.
I like american guy called Aesop Rock. His CD "Bazooka Tooth" s a nice. when I heared it for the first time I dont really like it but now I like it a lot.
Years ago, a Japanese friend who had spent several years studying in Europe returned to Japan. The first thing she said was how terrified she was of the idea of readjusting herself to Japanese society.
I finished going over Chat 29, and wow, that was the most insane thread ever. First a big political debate, then appearance by gay bar whore, masturbation addict, diamond dealers, yakuza, police detective,America gun nut, and on and on.
In August 1945, when World War II ended with Japan's crushing defeat, most people had very little other than empty stomachs and bombed out ruins where their homes had once been.
Many were penniless, homeless and jobless. While there was a deep despair, there was also a tremendous opportunity to rebuild.
One group in society wasted no time in taking advantage of this freedom. The underworld, or yakuza, got to work building organizations and running rackets.
Over the years, the yakuza have infiltrated many parts of Japanese society.
Due to economic stagnation and new laws since the mid-1990s, the gangs have felt the pinch. Today's yakuza bear little resemblance to their reckless and bold predecessors who were unmistakably the products of the post war Japan.
Novelist Ryuji Morita, 46, tackles the problems facing many returnees in his latest work of fiction, "Reset," published in October , by Kadokawa Haruki Corporation (2,100 yen).
All the characters in his story lose control of their lives in one way or another upon their return to Japan. They, too, feel as if they are being swept away in a torrent, not knowing where they are headed.
Nana Shimura, 16, the novel's protagonist, is a freshman at a Tokyo private girls' high school. She is a victim of bullying at school because she is a returnee.
Born outside of marriage in New York to a Japanese mother, who is a writer, and a Japanese man, she grows up there until she is 10.
By the time she returns to Japan, Nana lacks fluency in Japanese. "When Nana came to Japan for the first time six years ago, she didn't understand what the boy next to her in class was talking about," Morita writes. "She constantly worried that her Japanese was not correct. Her classmates at junior high mocked her Japanese, saying the way she talked was snobbish." High school was no better, Morita continues. "There, her classmates accused her of intentionally behaving strange to attract the attention of others." She finds herself in desperate straits after being ordered by her classmates to sell a total of 30 3,000-yen party tickets. For Nana, the task of selling the tickets is a loyalty test to prove that she is just the same as everyone else at her school. But how can she do it? She doesn't try. Instead, she is swayed by other girls' advice and starts earning money by selling her unwashed panties to "burusera shops" -- stores that sell schoolgirls' gear to men who get turned on by them. The friends with whom Nana wishes to mix are the very ones who bully her. They recklessly seek pleasure without realizing the cost to themselves. They use drugs and have sex with strangers for money.
By the way, what else do you people be spending money on? I usually be splitting between cloth, music, books and magazines. Then I have money for food, train, and living expense. When I want to be buying new tech like camera, or mobile I save money for a couple month.
One girl is even raped in a video. Another becomes a drug addict and stops going to school. Nana follows suit, dabbling in drugs and sleeping with strangers for money. What drives Nana to self-destructive action is a strong sense of isolation. It is part of her desperate attempt to find her own place in a society where there is no one, including her mother, to whom she can feel connected. Her mother Yoko is also in pretty bad shape. She has lost it as a writer and has become an alcoholic. She lives with her boyfriend, Takita, an editor at a major publisher. Her main fear is that her good-looking daughter might steal his affection from her. The only person Nana feels sympathy for is Masaya Nakagawa, also 16, a boy she knew at junior high school, because he treated her just as same as his other friends. But his psyche is on the verge of destruction. A student at a prestigious high school, Nakagawa is under heavy pressure from his parents to study hard and enter Tokyo University, the top national university in Japan.
4ch is wonderful and those who join in 4ch are also wonderful. Don't miss it! You'll regret it if you don't come to the nihongo board where you can talk both in English and Japanese!
Im sick of hearing about 4ch. For this extremist nuisance I will never visit 4ch again. Especially when I have chance I will tell people to never visit 4ch and make terrible lies about 4ch.
mr shit brother said that he comes in between 15:00 or 16:00 and write about mr shit. He said he is going to collect trash to earn some money. but he write nothing! Now I am worried and them...
>>291 You'll change your mind when you come to 4ch. It's interesting, amusing, and very exotic to Japanese people. I bet you anything you'll find yourself satisfied with 4ch.
I have a story!Listen Listen Listen: I go to 4ch. I look at 4ch. I see 4ch is mostly geeky types chatting about white fat guy crush on little girl anime. I leave 4ch. I never visit 4ch again. End.
wow what a geeks: "The first anime I ever saw was "Revolutionary Girl Utena" the movie. I was attracted to it because it was bizarre and new. It hit me at a vulnerable time; my father and mother had just been murdered. I became obsessed with the "emptiness inside" theme of the movie, and felt that this related to my life somehow. I watched Evangelion next, and absolutely loved the depressing feeling both of these shows left me with. I am a person who loves depressions; I feel that I am at my most creative and "raw" when utterly depressed. The empty feeling these shows gave me filled me with emotions I wanted to recapture." hahahahahhahah never saw idiot likes him before! American otakus are the best wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww let's made fun of 4ch
WOW!!! are these types of people exist??? I am truly amazed! I dont know what the fuck is PC-engine but that freak collect games on it! fuck!! I started a good number of years ago with Sailor Moon. I'd get up early to watch watch it before school. When the first run ended I kicked myself for not recording it. When I heard Cartoon Network was picking it up I bought a (at the time) high-end VCR. I now own the DVD box set.
I also collect older 8/16 bit video games, mainly PC-Engine games. One time, I decided to order something random and I got Galaxy Fraulien Yuna (Gina Ojousama Yuna). It's a digital comic type game. An OVA was eventually released (on VHS) and I bought it. When the DVD with both OVAs was released I got that too.
grew up with doraemon, totoro, and some gundam.... liked them but wasn't really into anime until high school when I met my friend and he liked anime... I got "culture shock" brute forced when I watched eva... marathoned those 5th generation VHS tapes until like 5am.... also started watching anime with other old shit like birdy the mighty
i want one of these dumb foreigner come to japan and say he watch sailor moon here. than people can look down and laugh at his shit brain when he is not listening
WOW! I can say only one thing: japanese otakus are not alone anymore!!!! "At times, it rolls around in its own loliness, but not on the most horrific extent of the term. I think it's worth watching simply because it's free, and it really is as zany and weird as they say. I saw somewhere once on /a that it was the most blatant otakusploitation show since Nurse Witch Komugi. I gotta agree with them: there's Mario Bros. pipes, ripoffs on Mazinger Z and Getter Robo, etc., and a perpetually depressed rabbit. It's a "WTF" anime more than it is loli, far more so. It has a surprisingly large cast as well; think three seperate Azumanga Daioh episodes all at once with a lot of 2chan refs and you've got Pani Poni Dash."
"Back on topic, Kira owns anything under the sun. He was made to be so whereas Shinn is a 'mere' gifted coordinator, in the same way Athrun is, minus self-control. Shinn just throws away his pain by inflicting it on others...
That's WHY Shin is better than Kira, and so is Athrun. They both had to work hard to get to where they are skill-wise. Kira just got everything handed to him on a silver platter, because the lead writer loves him."
" wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" is the only words to describe 4ch.net. I can't conjure a more eloquent expression. I used to get excited to see young white tourist interested in Japan. Now I remember that they are someone who learned about Japan from website like 4ch. Now I am a little hostile to them when I encounter them.
http://4-ch.net/anime/kareha.pl/1127079022/ this thread is brilliant too! How many "days" of anime have you seen (17) "I think i have seen about 9-10days. anybody seen more then me?
by day i mean: number of ep's you seen*24min(normal anime ep length)/60/24" "No idea. ^^; I would say at least 20 days.
Since I've seen a lot of the Toonami 40+ episode series, such as DB, DBZ, Gundam, G Gundam, Gundam Seed, Gundam Wing, FMA, YYH, Inu-yasha, just to name some of the first series I've seen."
this is getting boring, but I just can't not post this: "That's gonna difficult to calculate. I've probably seen well over a years worth (365+ days). Not all at time! I spread it out over about 10 years or so. It's an average of 2.4 hours a day.
Not too long ago I felt like "Hey, I'd like to watch Gunslinger Girl." So I did. The whole series. In one sitting. The next day I watched Rozen Maiden. Also, Back when it was still being dubbed, I watched a 7.5 hour Sailor Moon marathon."
>>312 i understand that you are hostile it seems white fat guy is most fan of lolita con anime creepy dangerous loser like that coming here makes me sick and worried about image japan is having overseas
I'm a foreigner in Tokyo. I often go to two or three live music shows a week in this city that is an Asian rock 'n' roll center. During my time in Japan I've discovered unforgettable bands
Yukorin is already anime actress. I read she is acting for anime voice. She is otaku idol now, forget this whore. New darling idol is Aoi Miyazaki. Lets talk about love for Aoi Chan!!!
>>323 cool link thanks. much better than 4ch. at least some foreigner are not in japan to wank with animation drawings. i feel a little better after looking his blog even if i am not big rockfan. sorry if i got angry or excited before.
>>325 What? Who is Yukorin? I remember one dirty girl who was giving free sex to a drunk in front of everyone. My friend said her name is Yukorin. This is the same Yukorin correct? I was a little thrilled at the sight of this piggy girl bounce on the dirty cock of a drunk. After when I come home I felt a little sick and decided to skip evening meal.
My opinion: Foreign otaku are losing in two ways: They are devoting their entire life to anime. And foreigners, please dont say you are better than "crazy Japanese otaku" because those copied post up there are speaking the truth about you. And the second way is that they are too weak to relate to their own culture.
Foreign and Japanese otaku both like to write about anime alot. But at least Japanese otaku sometimes do creative things like self made comics and creating figures. But foreign otaku actually reject comics made by their fellow residents. American otaku think American comics are inferior to Japanese. I must have read wrong American comics then, because American comics have many great authors like Alan Moore. Actually American otaku never read good Japanese comics like work by Kiriko Nananan.
>>335 Great joker you are. European and Americans dont mix up Asian people? I was in England last year, and 20 different people asked me if I was visiting from China. Even I dont look Chinese.
Nananan Kiriko: http://data.magicsquare.be/auteurs/castnanananki.jpg Her two books were released in france. looks like french people have a great taste! I always liked french cinema. (I know that .be is for belgium)
"If you fail high school you are loser. Save your failing for sex with your ugly wife."
That is the most loaded, bullshit statement I've seen today. But since I am nice, I will break it down for you. First of all, people in high school rarely have wives. Secondly, you say "save poor failing for sex with your ugly wife." That means that you would fail; thus, no sex. Your sentence made no sense, and you failed miserably at trying to be antagonistic.
Calm down? I'm being a lot nicer than various other posters in this thead. Look at the trolls trying to start race wars. Bring that shit up again and I will tear into the person that posts it. Arguing in English with me is trivial.
>337 i dont think so but if they have met alot of asian ppl, they may be able to tell difference. i went to germany on biz 2weeks ago.
one german guy told me he'd found chinese or korean ppl had wider face than we, japanese did. and there arent girls look like me in china, one chinese guy said. and continued, in korea, there're few ppl have double eye lid like me.
>>361 You must not come here often, the white-otaku-japanese-otaku debate comes up in almost every Chat thread. Check the logs. Anyway, I will also say come down, and don't expect people to kiss your ass here. 2ch is a shithole, and everyone is treated like shit.
>>225 I am not 223 but I was thinking about starting a blog. What makes a great blog? I wonder if we can have a discussion about that. Should blog entries be long and full of ideas, are photographs a essential part of the blog. I want to here opinions.
I think "what makes a great blog" is a question that's too vague to be answered meaningfully. First of all, it hast to consist of something you want to write about, or at least know how to write well about. And before we can even discuss what makes a great blog, we have to know what "great" is. It's almost like asking what makes a great web site. It all depends on definition.
Looks like there are no Yukorin haters on tonight... (or in Japan, this morning) Alright, then! Everyone! If you saw Yukorin in person, which part of her body would you try to touch?
>>396 its not the board your browser computer or browser or something else is not accepting japanese thats why you get "&" error fix it or change your name to english just write ronin in english
Because when you sign your posts, we know before reading them that you are an enormous faggot. If you leave them anonymous we can at least give you the benefit of the doubt.
koji saw through Mr Shit and pointed out that Mr Shit was unkind, which turned out to be completely true. for that reason koji doesn't like Mr Shit, eventhough koji is kind to everyone except Mr Shit
>>448 Yes, eureka! (I found it.) And I read some of the Amazon reviews on the film and it seemed quite promising. I'll keep that in mind when I go to a rental video shop next time. Thank you for your recommendation.
>>450 I don't have that many DVDs that I can call a 'collection.' I usually rent them. But the one I got today was special and is not sold in store. It's sold only over the Internet.
haha everytime I see message about 4ch, I remember those crazy messages about sailormoon 7.5hour marathon or a guy collecting games for PC-engine(what the fuck is pc-engine anyway) and laugh like crazy wwwwwwwwwwwwww
>>457 Oh, you misunderstand. It's a music DVD of the Japanese band Onmyoza. The title is "Yu-Gen-Rei-Bu" (Subtle-Phantom-Spirit-Dances) and it's a yet-to-be legendary live show held at a Noh theatre.
There's nothing you can do about it, though. There are millions of young anime fans around the world. Some of them will show up on 2ch inevitably.
If you are rude and say "go home gaijin-chu" or something, they will just hit back. The proper response is to tell them "Yes, we know, and we don't care" like >>441
No one in the last month has come here and began talking otakuish about anime. The only time anime is mentioned is when otaku-haters start talking about it. If they would be quiet, this would be anime-free.
Hello from New York, I visited a few times before.Since we are talking about music, I like the Japanese metal band Boris. Do Japanese people like them? They are playing in New York soon. I also like the band Melt Banana. I see that there's a few 2ch boards for heavy music, too bad that I can't post there. I'm just wondering what the general Japanese public thinks of bands like that.
>>495 Not always. They are a very versatile band, but all their music stays within the realm of heavy. I think they are like a Japanese equivalent of the American band Melvins. Here's a sample: http://www.aquariusrecords.org/audio/borisfuri.m3u
They also use words you may be familiar with, like "kawaii" "baka" "hentai" But this is a good thing, actually. It will bring new loanwords into the English language.
>>493 I'm a sad Jap. Civilized begger from East and West. Invaders going North to South. The centreline is straight ahead. Hey, they go crazy at your voice. They don't know what they do. Imperialism smiling everywhere. But I'm a patriot, I love my country. Dear Mother, Father, my lost love is not lost. Hey, they go crazy at your voice. They don't know what they do. Imperialism crying everywhere. Who the heck do you think you are? Who the heck do you think you are? Who the heck do you think you are? Who the heck do you think you are? Hey, they go crazy at your voice. They don't know what they do. Imperialism smiling everywhere. STOP JAP STOP JAP STOP JAP STOP JAP Kill'em all, Kill'em all. STOP JAP STOP JAP STOP JAP STOP JAP STOP JAP STOP JAP STOP!
>>510 This always happens when you import words. "Voodoo" is another offensive loanword in English. In Japanese, there is a whole category of "wasei-eigo" that make no sense in English... "soap land", "viking", "hello work" etc.
>>501 Thank you for the information. I am not familiar with Japanese heavy metal bands of these days. I only know the older bands like LOUDNESS, EARTHSHAKER, OUTRAGE, DOUBLE-DEALER, etc. But I know them only by name.
>>528 because they like anime. everyone likes anime for different reasons.
i can tell you which japanese words i learned from anime, this is a pretty typical list: aho baka kawaii neko sempai sugoi and the phrase "hare hata" .. i'm probably forgetting a few, but that's the japanese words a typical american otaku would know
lets not forget the small percentage of foreigners who are addicted to japanese dorama. they have their own borrow words i think i browsed a j-drama site once and i saw plenty of "that episode was really kakkoi"
>>538 that is what many say about Japanese. I often hear from foreigners who say "if a he wore that in America he would get his ass kicked." maybe they only think Japanese man has bad fashion
>>518 Heh, it seems we are seperated by generations. I have never even heard of those bands.
Is anyone a Bjork fan? Her husband, Matthew Barney recently made a movie about Japanese whaling ships and whales (??) called Drawing Restraint. Well anyway, Bjork's soundtrack from the movie has a sort of traditional Japanese sound, it's really nice.
romanization is totally aimai. you can do whatever you want with the spacing and it will still be right, because you're using an entirely different alphabet.
if anyone tells you different, they're either someone who doesn't know any better who's trying to sound smart, or an anal-retentive teacher who gets off on marking students down for stupid shit.
>>539 Are you sure? When I visited Japan I was actually intimidated because people my age were so well-dressed. I wasn't dressed like a bum mind you, I usually buy Ralpha Lauren and Banana Republic stuff, but it seemed Japanese people were wearing things I'd never be able to afford, (another things I noticed is that everyone had a huge cell phone that would cost $900 here). I wasn't that surprised though, I met a few Japanese students in college, and they were always well-dressed.
>>541 Sorry for the confusion. This is a quote from the Christian Bible (although I am not a Christian). In full, "How will you say to your brother: 'Brother, let me take the grain of dust out of your eye,' when you yourself do not see the bit of wood in your eye? O false one! first take the wood out of your eye and then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your brother's eye."
The meaning is something like, "Observe your own faults before you criticize others." There is a similar saying in Buddhism but I do not remember it as easily as the Christian version.
>>548 thats what the foreigners were talking about. that the Japanese men seemed over dressed all the time and many times they said their fashion looked sort of gay.
>>547 i was basing that off of what i saw in japanese text books.
you shouldng rail on foreigners for using random japananese words and then do it yourself. saying something is aimai is pretty much the same as saying something is sugoi

if you go to Ginza, Daikanyama, Harajuku, Aoyama, you will see tons of creative dressed guys. I dont know why you call it gay. it's cool to pay attention to fashion. but I forgot that geeks wears BLUE JEANS and WHITE T-SHIRTs ONLY

It really depends on where you go. In NYC, many people will be well dressed, especially in expansive parts of Manhattan like Soho. While in a place like rural Pennsylvania, people won't care because they're surrounded by farms.

>>600 I wouldn't know if it's important or directed at me, since I can't read it. It's an English Chat thread, means "let's chat in English" Again, I was dealing with it the first 15 times, then it just got annoying. They(?) can have a conversation in Japanese in the thousands of other threads on this board.

>>684 Well, yeah. But they usually want to talk with single girls that are willing to give them naked pictures and what not. I'm not single nor will i post such things.
>>685 I am not too worried. Eventually I will find out all about the things you prefer. Then I'll get a tripcode and assume an identity that will be to your liking. In the end, I will steal you away from your boyfriend.
It's easy, I have done it before numerous times. Your poor boyfriend stands no chance against me.
It seems like all new men's fashion are turning closer to women's fashion. The colour pink was popular a while back, and tighter clothes are becoming popular as opposed to loose baggy ones
>>690 I've answered that question on repeated occasions, in previous parts of this chat though.
>>691 Yeah, certainly seems that way. Probably all the visual kei and other famous male idols have made guys more aware of what they look like, and choosing a more flashy way of dressing, or what do you think? I'm not sure, i'm just guessing.
>>465 I made a mistake. The original title consists of four kanjis (幽玄霊舞) and I rendered 'Gen' into 'Phantom' (幻) but it was based on misreading on my part. 'Yu-Gen' is one phrase and is not to be treated separately. I somehow thought it was a play on words as they commonly do in writing lyrics but yu-gen was simply yu-gen. Not that anyone cares but I care deeply.
Yukorin is one of my favorite idols. She's so cute! BTW, I have a question. Who is Aoi Miyazaki? She was mentioned in this thread. But I don't know about her, didn't hear her name before. Is the girl famous?
>>697 I agree. The other day, I happened to find this thread and to take a look. Someone referred to 4ch as interesting, fashinable, amusing, or something like that. So I got a great interest in it. He listed the link to 4ch, and I clicked on it. It's the first time that I enjoyed 4ch. People in it seemed nice and enjoyable. I didn't notice I spent lots of time chatting with some of them.
I'll bring myself to pay a visit again! How about you?
>>708 I don't think 4ch is interesting if you're a fan of Yukorin. It's easy to know her fans are treated badly. In fact, I watched their postings were deleted and they were banished.
>>710 Yes, of course. Here: http://4-ch.net/nihongo/ 4ch has many categolized boards, but I recommend to you to take a look into /nihongo/ in particular. You can use Japanese and English in it.

Urban Predator seems to have a lot of caractors. He sometimes likes 4ch, other times doesn't. He sometimes falls in love with Yukorin, some other time are harsh on her.

Actually I asked for advice in another thread and I'll copy and paste the posting I made there.(I know this is not acceptable in this forum but ....)
**** Hello,I'd like some advice for improving my speaking skills. I've been studying the language seriously on my own for the past straight 3 years and it doesnt seem to be coming along as much as i expected. It's like now matter how hard i try,ill get nowhere. Also at times I feel so discouraged, hopless in realizing that I still stammer for lack of vocabulary, not because I'm nervous or something. I want my english to be on par with a native speaker's and I'm so badly in need of someone's advice.
I learned this language mainly thorough soap operas, cartoons, reality shows, and news coming from the united states. Sometimes I watched japanese subtitled ones out of sheer curiosity(i have a little interest in translation itself). The problem is that I still stammer when I can't find the right words or when I intend to sound descent(I assume the latter one is being caused by nervousness) As for my experience abroad,I was only once out of japan, only 3 weeks.
I already asked japanese teachers of english at my high school but none of the advice was helpful enough.

I am an english expert: The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (1978) The 36th Chamber of Shaolin is THE kung fu training flick. The film stars Gordon Liu (Pai Mei in Kill Bill) and is directed by the great Lau Kar Leung (Executioners From Shaolin, Eight Diagram Pole Fighter). The 36th Chamber of Shaolin is one supremely awesome old school martial arts flick. Anyways, Gordon Liu plays a student in Ching Dynasty-era China whose family, teacher and collegues are killed the evil Manchurians. He flees his town and seeks refuge in shaolin temple, where he becomes a monk and learns kung fu by facing each of the 35 chambers. After several years, he has passed every chamber and sets out, with his newly learned kung fu skills to take on the Manchus. I especially love the climactic duel in this film between Gordon Liu and Lo Lieh (who sports a pedophile moustache in this film). 8/10
If this thread ends within ten hours, there is a template for the thread at http://www.geocities.com/ktan2ch/template_chatinenglish.txt that the next thread-starter can use. Updated it earlier, all the new offsite links are included in it as well.
I'm happy that this thread improved a little since last night.
Someone before was asking about Aoi Miyazaki and no one was answering. If you are reading,Aoi Miyazaki is a Japanese idol and film actress. She is not as popular as Yukorin for example, but she has devoted fans who call her Aoi Chan. What I like about her is that she is a very cute girl, and she has also starred in some great movies that have gotten acceptance abroad. For example, a movie Eureka that starred her and her brother recieved 2 prizes at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000. But most importantly I like her for her looks, which I prefer. To me Yukorin looks to plain, while Aoi has a cute look that I find attractive. Hope that answers your questions.
after spending time in America i can say that its very easy to get fat. the culture is very much geared toward food. when coworkers have a gathering, rather than a bar they visit a donut shop. and the preffered place to eat is a all you can eat buffet, where you can stuff yourself until you are full for a low price theres alot of food in America and much of it is very cheap
Yukorin is better than Aoi in one way. its much more better to make Yukorin suffer. It brings a great pleasure to smack Yukorin in the face, and force her to sell her body for your profits.

Many foreigners, most of whom have precious little knowledge of Japanese, complain that the language is too lacking in clarity or logic to fit modern technological or scientific needs. Even some Japanese make this charge, but it is, of course, balderdash, as,the extraordinary success of the Japanese in modern times has shown. All languages have infinite capacities for ambiguities and unclarities, and probably it is easier to be ambiguous and vague in Japanese than in most Indo-European tongues.Certainly the Japanese, with their suspicion of verbal skills, their confidence in nonverbal understanding, their desire for consensus decisions, and their eagerness to avoid personal confrontation, do a great deal more beating around the verbal bush than we do and usually try to avoid the "frankly speaking"approach so dear to Americans. They prefer in their writing as well as their talk a loose structure of argument, rather than

>>881 (Is that how you're supposed to do it? I need to learn the 2ch manners! Sorry!) I wish I could. I still have homework to do. What time is it in Japan? Isn't it almost 4PM?
I meant, do you live in the Bay Area of California, USA? Because I just watched Densha Otoko at 10-11PM on the KTSF channel. So I assume that you also live around here to watch Densha Otoko at the same time as I did.
>>889 That's true, but 2ch was in Densha Otoko, so curiousity made foreign people come here. We can talk about it anywhere, but why not go to the place where Densha Otoko started?
>>891 Hmmm... I don't really think so. Only a few people know about Densha Otoko. Besides, Japanese people were the one who made the mangas, TV show, movie, and whatnot.
I'm pretty sure a lot of Japanese people do like Densha Otoko because of the different types of media it's been expressed through and I met quite a few people who liked Densha Otoko while I was in Japan.
If you meant Densha Otoko was on over in the U.S., yes, it's being aired. At least over in the Bay Area of California, it's being aired on the KTSF channel at 10:00PM-11:00PM on Sundays.
>>907 I don't think the casting was good because the person who plays Densha is actually a pretty cool person, doesn't seem like an otaku kind of person. And I don't mean to offend, but the Hermes in the movie isn't as pretty as most would imagine.
Nope, I haven't watched the movie. But I will someday.
Before I head to bed, yeah, I think the casts are great for the tv. show, besides Densha, I like his other friend....the one that says 'mouth to mouth" when Densha was in the hospital
>>904 The movie is a movie, the series is a series. They're good as what they are. I prefer the series, because it's more humorous and personal (it's a bit diffcult to squeeze in all what the movie did in such a short time without making it feel stressed out, impressive that they managed) Plus, i like the side-characters.
Hm.. dammit. i'm sick. I think i need to go make some hot tea or something to soothe my throat with. Bah.
Living in america is not so easy for people without enough money. Take medical expenses, for example, it costs hundreds of dollars every time you see a doctor if you don't have an insurance. Even if you have one, the premiums are also high.

>>950 Can you make the next thread once this one has ended? if it makes things easier for you, there is a template at www.geocities.com/ktan2ch/template_chatinenglish.txt that you can use.
>>958 I wish I could. But by some reason i no longer am able to start a new thread. Which is odd, since the only thread i've ever started was one of the Chat In English parts. The next time it was time to start a new thread, and i was there and able to, 2ch wouldn't let me start it. And then, the previous time (part 29) when it i had been appointed to start a new thread, i still wasn't able to start a new thread, so i had to ask a friend of mine to post >>1 so that i could fill in the rest of the setup. 2ch doesn't like me any more, it seems.
>>972 What do you mean? As things go now, 2ch is inferior to 4ch in that K-tan, with a good intension to build a new thread, can't do it, which could not happen to 4ch.
please, someone set up the next part. It's really not difficult, you only have to copy and paste. Everything is written already if that is what makes you worried about starting a new thread. http://www.geocities.com/ktan2ch/template_chatinenglish.txt
I may have to go soon too. A friend of mine demands to get to hang out with me today.
>>973 You're not japanese. So the threatening rule doesn't apply to you. Don't worry. As for me, however, it follows that I have to face some danger of life. If you read Japanese when creating threads, you know someone who set up a thread is warned.
>>984 I visit 4-ch sometimes, but i only read a few threads, and i post anonymously there. I like this thread because it reminds me of another place i used to frequent when I was younger. It was a japanese chatroom for english chat. There were people there from all over the globe, australians, americans, canadians, russians, japanese of course, chinese, afrikans, swedes, dutch, german, romanian, etcetere.
It's interesting to chat with people, and to not be limited by where they are is definitely an interesting perk.
>>985 People should be responsible for what they say in 2ch. They are warned.
You may not know, but many posters really got arrested because of their postings. That is tantamount to loss of life, leading your life in prison, isn't it?
>>964 Threre is a limit to setting up a new thread on 2ch BBS. It all depends on the number of threads on the same board, and it also requires certain lapse of time to set up a new one from the same local host. It's a matter of timing. Not every one can make new threads as many as they want. Otherwise the 2ch BBS would be in a total chaos. That's why they restrict thread making. Therefore, you mighe be able to do it this time.
>>996 Well, yes, just that i set up part 23 or something... 29 was a long while after 23. Which is why I thought i had been disabled from starting new threads at all.
