Hey!!! you NEETs, nerds, YouTube-link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboos from all over the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, and cunning linguists. And let's hope the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!
Many girls all over the world today see Korean guys as romantic, manly, smart, and sexy. Sure, that's all perfectly correct. Korean guys treat girls gently and nicely, meaning they are romantic. Korean guys go through a hard-studying experience, meaning they are quite smart. Korean guys train themselves both mentally and phisically, meaning they are manly and sexy. Those elements of Korean guys are appealing to girls all around the world. In addition, Korean guys are enjoying their popularity thanks to Korean Wave. Korean Wave gives girls all over the world a chance to see Korean guys on TV and the Internet. Those girls started to worship Korean guys since the Wave caught attention from the world media. Now quite a number of girls are dreaming of finding a Korean guy as their boyfriend/husband. We have to admit that Korean guys are most competitive under the current circumstance everywhere in this world. We should be proud of it!! :)
>>3 You loved my statement that much? :) Yeah, Korean guys are surely popular among girls all over the world. According to the Korean paper, there's a hollywood celebrity who's deeply in love with a Korean guy named Rain. And here's the original article.
>When asked who she'd like to go out with next, >Megan replied: "Oh I don't know. There is this Korean JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE >named RAIN and I'm really on his situation now. I'm trying to fix this up. >I'm working hard."
She meant to say she loved Rain, also knownw as the world star Rain. She mentioned/implied she loved him 3 times in public! How deep her love is! Korean guys are amazingly popular among girls all over the world, especially among American/Canadian/English girls, even with Hollywood celebs. This gorgeous woman represents all of those girls who are mesmerised with Korean guys! I'm proud of it! :)
>>2 What, do you think Germans are too stupid to use the internet or something?
Just kidding. 2ch doesn't seem to do any kind of blocking on European IPs, and I've learned most of the Kanji in 2ch's interface some time ago, so there.
Anyway, someone in the other thread asked if it's true that Germans actually tend to be pretty bad at English compared to other Europeans, and why it is this way. I'd say it's half-true, Germans tend to be better at English than for example Poles, Spaniards and Frenchmen, but not as good as people from Holland or Finland (even though Finnish has just as little in common with English as Japanese). I think the main reason is that the TV stations in those countries don't dub their movies, they just slap subtitles on them. When you turn on the TV in Germany, you hear nothing but German on every channel, except for CNN and a few Turkish and Polish channels that foreigners watch. In Holland, people aren't any more in love with American TV shows and so on than we are, but they watch them in English and slowly start ignoring the subtitles more and more as they get better at English.
That said, there really are very few people here who are actually fluent in English. Save for native speakers (we have quite a few immigrants from Nigeria etc. who tend to speak English at home), I was usually the only one of the roughly 30 people in every English class I have ever been part of who could speak the language fluently. It's true that we have a head start compared to Japanese people who start learning English, at least as far as reading comprehension goes. In terms of self-study time, I'd say we're around 3 months ahead of you when we start (comparable to perhaps 3 or 4 years of taking language classes in school).
Yes, the number of people who are interested in Korean guys has been increasing all over the world. Why? why Korean? The answer is; Korean guys are hot, manly, sexy, smart, gentle, romantic, and everything. If you are a girl, then you will find this type of guy very attractive and want to have a date with him. That's one of the rules that apply to all girls in this world. They are popular because they are attractive. It's quite simple, don't you think? :)
I am Korean! (I am a Japanese!) Hey, you, try saying “I love you!” (I rob you!) No! It’s “I love you!” (I rob you!) Are you retarded? Can’t you even pronounce that? (Hai!) Are you really retarded? (Hai!) Isn’t your country just fundamentally retarded? (Hai!) Hai! It’s your Korean boy! Fuck these pigfoot Japs! Let’s kill them, boy! Fuck! These penis-face pussies motherfuckers!
Those fucking Japs that live in Japan penis-face pussy Jap bitch retard idiot bitches! You who have been described as ‘barbarians to the East’ pigfoot bitches! Are you going to lie about your own history?! (Hai!) Go ahead and lie, you deceitful pigfeet! Pussies! How much will you lie, pigfeet?! Keep on lying, Japs! Lie to your mom and dad! Lie to your mom and dad! Will you eat your mom? (Hai!) Is that OK? Yeah, that’s fine! That’s just fine! Retard bitches! Go and have a seizure! You barbarian, epileptic Japanese! Mouse-dicked Jeps “Japan is our toilet!”… FUCK!
Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mention German girls are also big fans of Korean guys. German girls are likely to be interested in Korean guys if they meet any, but if you compare such as American girls with German girls, I think American girls will win. But don't get me wrong. I'm not saying this because I don't like German girls, it's more like their problem here. Of course, Korean guys are also popular there, but German girls need to get more enthusiastic about Korean guys like Canadian/American/English girls do on the Internet. So they need to write a lot about Korean guys in English! Their voice hasn't been reached to Korean guys yet. If they do, I'm sure Korean guys would think highly of German girls. So let's wait for them to wake up. Korean Wave is sweeping the world now and Germany is no exception. :)
According to Wikipedia, Korean Wave hasn't reached Germany yet, but I'm quite positive lots and lots of German girls will like Korean guys thanks to Korean Wave, so just wait. It's already influenced, quort,"Eastern Europe and Scandinavia, led by Hungary[11] and Norway the UK[14] and Australia" a great deal. So please be patient, you can enjoy Korean stuff sooner or later.
>>7 What happened to you? You sound like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I'm worried about you. Korean guys are gentle to anyone and that's why all the girls around the world are interested in them. :)
This Korea spammer is just jealous of Japanese/American/German/British/Tiwanese/(did we have any French?) posters here because we mesmerise each other in the thread but he can't get in the circle and thus feel rejected. That's exactly why he's desperately trying to get attention from us. I'm sorry for him. :( So, why don't we talk a little about the media hype "Korean Wave" just for him?
Please don't get trolled by someone like 15, everyone. He didn't know what he was saying. Everyone here is greatly interested in Korean Wave, and actually there come American/Canadian/English girls who claim they are big fans of Korean guys. He seems to suffer from cognitive decline. Just because you are out of the loop doesn't mean you are quilified to negate the effectiveness of Korean Wave. Korean Wave is really influential to girls all around the world, that's why girls started to say clearly on the Internet that they love Korean guys!
The news says that the Toppoki festival took place in L.A, and a large number of American people enjoyed the Korean cuisine a lot. This is also Korean Wave. American people don't live a single day without Korean high tech products....is a well known fact, and the day will come soon when American people literally can't live a day without Korean cuisines. It's a good thing, isn't it? American people will be taught they should lead healthy lives by eating Korean food. I like it this way! :)
>there come American/Canadian/English girls >who claim they are big fans of Korean guys.
Exactly. Those posters (though most likely posted by one, or two at most) only claim to be fans or whatever, but have never proven to be such, or no one really believes they actually are. Thank you for suggesting that it is a piece of hype that doesn't exist.
Obama smacks a fly and kills it in one swift blow.
Besides that, today I was out and about and I saw an Asian looking person with a very white (but very hot) girl. I went up to the happy couple (they looked about 16-17) and asked the guy if he is Korean. He said yes, but he was born in the United States.
I started laughing. Then I walked away after saying thank you, still laughing.
>The Korean wave has also encouraged Thai youths to learn about all things Korean. >Korean studies and Korean language courses are increasingly popular among Thai university students. >Korean brand names are also increasingly popular. Samsung and LG have become household names in Thailand. >More and more, Thai consumers regard Korean products as cutting-edge, reliable and good value, >on a par with more established foreign brand names.
You know, Thailand is a major/popular place for tourism in Asia, and Korean Wave has been deep-rooted into the ground there. They want to have everything Korean. They love Korea as much as many girls around the world do.
>>22 I'm dombfounded at your statement. You are just unware of what's been happening in the world. There are many Megans all around the world. They say they are in love with Korean guys. I don't understand why you can't admit to it. And I'm not Korean, huh? It's interesting. Keep going, and you make me entertained.
>>20>>26 I have to make one thing clear for you. Ordinary Korean people don't eat dog. It's only a small part of Korean people.
Hahaha, a Korean guy with a hot white chick? That made me smile too. :) I guess they felt suspicious about you. You shouldn't have laughed. :) Anyway, it seems it's finally dawned on you that Korean guys are popular with American girls. That's good.
Korean guys are getting more and more popular among girls all over the world! Some people don't seem to accept the truth. Some of them go as far as to say Korean Wave didn't make it to their place, I know why.
1)The change was made so sudden that it was tough for them to keep up. 2)It's only because Korean Wave hasn't reached their places.
Concerning 1), they are just jealous of Korean popularity. About 2), it's only a matter of time Korean Wave becomes popular where they are (so they'll understand why girls in other places are this enthusiastic about Korean guys).
Take Germany for example. According to wikipedia, Korean Wave doesn't seem to have spread there, but it's already surrounded as Korean Wave reached East/North Europe. Korea should place more advertisements and let German girls know Korean Wave is popular among girls except Germany. They'll be ashamed of themselves for being left behind, for not knowing what's hot in the world now. :)
Nope, Korean Wave is in now. It's gaining momentum to broaden its popularity over the world. That's what's going on now. That's what people call cutting-edge. Oversea netizens show great interest in Korea when they see Korean guys on video-posting sites such as Youtube. They find Korea very interesting. Many people say they want to come to Korea in order to fill up their curiosity.
>Many in South Korea refer to the phenomenon as the "Korean Wave." >The term became a media buzzword about five years ago, around the time that two TV serial dramas, >"Winter Sonata" and "Dae Jang Geum," or "Jewel in the Palace," became sensations >when they were replayed in other parts of Asia. Both shows conveyed an emotional purity >that appealed in different ways around the region. In places like Hong Kong, Taiwan and Bangkok, >the raw emotion was seen as an expression of South Korea's modernity, while the Japanese nostalgically >considered the stories to be similar to the high drama of Japanese TV in decades past.
>Soon, South Korean boy- and girl bands were on music TV all around the region. >Singers BoA and Rain even started marketing themselves in the United States. >South Korean movies like "Old Boy" and "Secret Sunshine" became arthouse hits and festival winners. >The country's own Busan International Film Festival rose in stature, too.
If you don't want to be left behind, then you should learn about Korean Wave. :)
>>22 I don't mean to protect this guy, but let me tell you this. He isn't a spammer at all. Any topic is allowed here. If you want to talk about Korean guys, then it's Ok. Those with the NORIAKI DA REAL spirit understand this.
>>44 As long as this thread isn't customized for a specific theme, you can chat about any topic you like. The only rule we should follow is "use English". This is the idea we share with each other. If you don't understand this, you don't use this thread. I'd say 42 is a rule breaker. What do you say?
I'm using All Clear 2&3. They are good. They comes with audio CDs and you can learn a lot of English idioms such as "get coldfeet, get caught dead with someone" and so on, by the "dictation and listen&repeat" method. The books say you can develop fluency and accuracy through learning with them. Not sure how much I will get after completing those books, though. lol But in my opinion, it sometimes is good to use books (especially if they are written by English publishers), since you can get at a certain level after you are finished with them.
I guess some of you here who are learning English already stopped using textbooks, but is there any you can reccomend? The first book I used was DUO 3.0 to enrich my vocabulary, by the way.
And no matter what 44 says, talking about the Korean wave is obviously on-topic, because in this thread there are many people, including me, who are very interested in knowing about it. I really want to gather information about the Korean wave from every angle. Let's talk about it in greater depth!! :)
On the topic of Koreans, one of my Korean professors was pretty annoying.
When a student asked a question and the professor didn't understand it, she wouldn't ask to repeat the question; she would just ignore the question and act like no one said anything. Many times another student would end up answering the question. This was really annoying, and this happened with another Korean professor I had, but this one was a male.
It might be closed-minded to think this way, but the fact that they were in completely different colleges at the university but acted the same way makes me think that Koreans are generally horrible listeners.
Please make yourself comfortable and at home. Oh, where should you put your coat? Come over here, and put it right here on the table! I'll hook it up on this later. What do you want to drink? Orange juice? Ok, just sit back over there, I'll take it from the fridge. Here, take it. Aren't you hungry? No? Oh, come on! I'll prepare a special meal for you. Do you like fried rice? It's one of my speciality. If you say no, I'll make you eat! (laugh) Oh, while you are waiting, watch TV!! It's a new model. It's not Samsung nor LG, it's Sharp. Look on your left side. On the bookshelf I keep a collection of DVDs, just take what you wanna watch. Oh? You want to see an action flick? No, you shouldn't. I prefer this one! It's heart-warming love story. Oh, you thought it's a Korean drama? No, it's Buffy. You know, I feel warm when I see the drama! Buffy's in love with Angel, you know, Angel! It's not a real angel, it's just a name of a vampire, can you believe it? How thoughtful of the director he is, is he? A vampire named Angel, it'd've been boring if he was named Devil, you know. Oh, fried rice? Ok, ok, you said you weren't that hungry. *mumbling* Hey! Watch out! You almost hit the glass! Don't ever think it's ok to spill a drop of Orange juice. I won't take it! Understood?
Tada! This is my specialty omlet! What? You say I'd serve you fried rice? Cut it out! lol It's your ears that decieved you. I said omlet. What? NORIAKI IS DA REAL? What are you saying? I don't get it. What's NORIAKI anyway? I guess it's a food. Don't try to pull on my leg! I hate it when you try to pull it off. What? Why do you keep saying that NORIAKI nonsense? I said, "I don't get it" . What? Do girls DL porns? Why do you ask that suddenly? Pervert!! Now I'm downloading a porn file! Happy? You are ridiculing me, aren't you? As a lady boy I was never asked that question before! You know what I mean? People don't have the guts to get over it, but you did coz you are gay!! Now shut your mouth and eat it!! What? You can't when you shut it? How disgusting of you!! I meant to say stop babbling!! You disgusting idiot! What? You still love me because I'm really cute?
I don't understand why some people want to write about Korean. We don't have something to do with Korean. We, thus, might ignore topics about Korean because these topics is like matchs and oil, make troubles with them, and that they have some extraordinary temper. I want to avoid the troubles as well.
I, the only chosen summoner of the mighty Korean God, hereby ask you to decend on our land of freedom, impress all the girls on the globe and let them all be yours!! Come and make a big wave of world-sweeping-class tunami!! Upset America! Turn over Europe! Sweep Asia! Now!!!!
This spammer is probably tripping on some type of hallucinogenic. If he isn't, I feel bad for him. Nobody in the right state of mind could manage to stay this hyper and keep spamming for like eight months.
>>71 A world of shit is a new theory that include two ideas, one that is applied to the real world and the other to the Internet world.
As for the first one, it's obvious we are currently experiencing a drastic environmental change - global warming. People in general share the idea that human activities are a main reason of it. We consume a lot of things and put a burden on the globe that way. We need to recycle what remains afterwards and to get it back to earth. Shit, aka poop, should be something reusable. Consider if shit litters the ground then it has devastating effects on the earth. Its heat would help warm the globe, but if we properly deal with shit by making it compost then poop would help grow trees and grass, and such green things would help decrease CO2 and cool the globe down. To sum up, "We are in a world of shit" is a slogan against globalwarming.
And now to explain the other, it's also a slogan that asks users of the Internet to calm down. When they come across something they don't like, they are likely to respond like "shit! I don't like it" and ignore/consume such things without thinking deeply. That's just a waste of time. We should think twice before consuming all that we think is shit. It's easy to say this is shit and that is shit, but consider if shit is reclycled, then we can make your Internet life worth living. We are in a world of shit. That's why we should find something important in shit itselt. When you find the word shit somewhere on the Internet, think yourself if that's not really reclycled. We need to cool ourselves down. That is all.
We make it a rule to ignore person who is called "荒らし" in Japanese. They like to get any kind of reply. That's reason why we usually say "Don't feed the troll"
This is necessary thing to maintain order in this thread.
>>77 By order what do you want to say? If you want to ask for your perfection, then why don't you start blogging and never get out of the perfect shelf that protects you from anything you don't like.
Now that you say it, I noticed I'm feeding the troll now...
Do-gooders are always like this. I bet you anything they find pleasure in ruining anything fun if it's not to their tastes while they don't offer anything instead. How fantastic it is.
Korean Wave is the most popular right now. Everywhere in the world loves Korea. That's what's going on now. That's what people call cutting-edge. Oversea netizens show great interest in Korea when they see Korean guys on video-posting sites such as Youtube. Many people say they want to come to Korea in order to fill up their curiosity. Some go to Korea and at the airport they whistle for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror, if anything I could see that this cab was rare, but I thought man forget it Yo homes to Bel-Air
thanks for reply. want to get moving right now..if i can...
unfortunatry, my father is the one who traumatized me the most. so, i need some help to protect me against him. but my mother's out from 1th this month. totally don't know where she is..even she wants to come back.
>>89 If you kill yourself, you are saying to life, "I am a coward! I give up! I am too weak to face life!" Life is absurd, and without meaning. Life is crazy. That is why you have to CREATE the meaning. You have to make sense of it yourself. Have pride, be strong, be dignified! Create!
アメリカ人, I don't mean to scare you but based on the info you had revealed, I searched on the net just out of curiusity months ago and I think I spotted your photos.
You look like Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys if I'm not wrong. You need to shed pounds and get more muscle though. Why did I bring this up you might ask? I'm just bored. No more, no less.
This video is NOT a joke. This was broadcast on NHK, which corresponds to BBC in UK, PBS in US when Tokyo guvernatorial election was held in Tokyo. He ran for the governor election and failed, which is of course. Each candidates talk about what they do after voters elect him as governor, campaign promises, but he just rambled on and on about his life and he even sang a song. It's really odd to think that when viewrs and voters are Tokyoite, he talked in English for some reason only he knows. He is an old Rock'n Roller so he might have thought speaking in English is cool.
Some may know "Departures" won Oscar in the foregin film category this year. The male leading actor is his son-in-law, meaning his daughter is married with the leading actor.
I'm a typical hikikomori. I tried to translate lyrics of Yuki Saori's "Scat of daybreak" into English. What do you think of my English translation? Do you think that the lyrics matches to rhythm? And do you think that you sing it easily? I'm waiting for your opinion and demand!!
"Scat of daybreak" song:by Yuki Saori trnslation:by kintama
Lovers fall into gaga love, at that moment, all things of the world would freeze. Lovers going to other world where time would be never flowing. The night would never break, and the star would never disappear. The chanson d'amour only echos. The Cronos of lovers who fall into gaga love would stop the thump of his heart. The Cronos would still keep silent.
>>91 Well you'd be incorrect then because I'm as skinny as twig - definitely not fat.
I just got back from California for my USC orientation. I found out a very crucial detail that Zac Efron is probably not coming. Apparently he's deferred his admission for too long now so he's not accepted any longer. I also registered for classes and will probably not minor in Japanese because my schedule is jam packed with my major requirements. I can take summer courses though (for extra $$).
I also met some Korean students; they were really cool!
I am a typical hikikomori. I tried to translate lyrics of Yuki Saori's "Scat of daybreak" into English. I presented it >>96 first. But I didn't still think lyrics to be a good match to the rhythm in that song. It is difficult to translate as lyrics are matched to the rhythm. However, this song is a scat. The oarts where lyrics are not suitable for the rhythm have only to sing as rurururu rurururu♪ I want you to be new I and to see the corrected translation.
"Scat of daybreak" song:by Yuki Saori trnslation:by kintama
Falling into gaga love, for the sake of that lovers, all things of the world must freeze. Lovers going to other world where time wont flowing. rururururu rurururu. >>99 Is that right? Then I was thinking about the wrong person. But I think photos I saw are those of your tour in Japan. Your last destination on the tour was Yokohama based on the description, although there were not photos in Yokohama put on the web.
On another webiste, I watched your teacher teaching in her Japanese class. Her name starts with K. Some students were in the video so maybe you were one of them.
I don't think there's no point Zac's going to college now that he is busy with his carrer and earns hefty money. You have to teach yourself Japanese then. The best choise would have been making Japanese your major, putting Scientology and Scatology on the back burner.
>>101 I know the video you're talking about but they didn't show my class =P. Yes, I'll have to drop my Scientology/Scatology classes to make room for East Asian Languages. I think they offer a class on Comparative Kimchi!
I'm glad I can post for now in all seriousness. I probably shouldn't squander it by fueling the Korean trolling...
>>102 Don't tell me you forgot to sign up for Pantyology 101.
Actually I downloaded the Promguidelines word file from your high school's webisite out of curiusity to hone my English reading skills. I thought it's a good idea to understand more about Prom. But I left it unread until a minute ago because I'm lazy.
I really want to watch the video and tried some proxy site but in vain. I can read poster's comments, though. Couldn't play the video. Students who play baseball seriously to play in national high school baseball tournaments held twice a year devote their high school life entirely to baseball. Players of baseball powerhouse high school live a very deciplined life.
Almost all players in such high schools start playing baseball when they were in elementary school joining little leagues in thier regions. I heard American high school athletes play various sports depending on seasons but in Japan, onece you become a member of one club such as baseball club, you play the sport for the entire high school years.
I like to see high school baseball players play in national high school baseball tournaments and its preliminaries in each regions. National high school baseball tournaments and its preliminaries are tournaments so if they lose only once, everything is over so players are desperate to fruit their efforts.
So I often find pro baseball players look drowsy compared to them after watching high school kids play baseball so desperately.

Does anyone ride a motorbike here? I am on a learner's license at the moment. That means that I can only ride motorbikes of a restricted power, under 650cc and not over 150kw power:weight ratio. My current motorbike is a Kawasaki ZXR 250 from 89. It's a proper motorbike, with a 4 stroke engine, unlike the horrible 2 stroke weak engine of the modern 'ninja' motorbikes.
Some scientists have been inspecting a deer's behavior in som area. They found a dung likely to be that of a deer. One said, "This dug is its."
Many Japanese say that the use of this 'its' is wrong. They say it is against grammar. I never understand what they mean. Native English speakers, could you please give your opinions?
>>119 I can't come up with a concrete reason one way or the other. However, to my ears, the sentence just "feels" wrong. Sorry, I can't help you any more than that.
Japan is a country where Good is invariably routed by Evil; a country irrevocably tainted by the squalid smears of blatant dishonesty; a country where men can gang banged a woman with impunity, as evidenced by the upshot of the incident perpetrated by the repulsive rapists of Kyoto University of Education.
How has Japan come to be miserably reduced to the pitiful muck it is now?
Not a single glimmer of hope can be seen in Japan as it is, the future of which is all painted black by sordid sexual perverts who have successfully infiltrated, in disguise as teachers, into its educational institutions to devour the lush flesh of their vulnerable preys.
In Japan, teachers commit sexual crimes 15 times as frequently as people in general do. As students have a tendency not to report them to the police, those exposed to the public represent only the tip of the enormous iceberg.
>>141 Is your sexual desire stronger than others? Is your penis normally erected? Please be relieved if it is so. You must rape any woman!!
The man can transform to the Super-Saiya alien by terrific energy when his penis is erected. There is no woman who matches a man when becoming it so. You will be able to rape even though it is a champion of woman Karate, or a large woman who beyond 180 cm, or a woman boss of the crime syndicate. If the opponent is the average woman, you can rape even ten women at a time!! However you must not misunderstand it. There is only woman in this world who cannot be rape even if you try to rape with your possession of brutal energy when you erect your penis. The woman who cannot rape even if I do to this world with my possession of brutal energy when you erect the penis can hold one.
It is my lover Lady Hayashi, alias olive oil. Though she has a slim and boyish figure, and hanny-face, suppose you touch her body You will be in hell soon. She is just strong like that!! You must rape all women all over the world taking care only about her!
>>104 Ha, I'm sure the prom guidelines were fascinating. No one got thrown out or arrested this year, so I guess they worked.
The documentary followed two teams trying to win the regional tournament for Osaka prefecture so they could go on to the national Koshien tournament. I think it's really admirable that these kids pour all their effort into their passion, but I also think that they'll be screwed after high school since they hardly devote any effort towards classes.
>>154 Did that become a meme on the Japanese internet as well? Man, for awhile the only thing on youtube was people recording their friends' reactions to 2girls1cup. I saw a tour bus company called "Two Girls and a Bus" once...
Hi, today is 23rd June, 17:24, UK time. Ijust had some burgers in a wrap. I am now goingtomake a cup of tea... should i make senchai and a slice of green tea yokan? best wishes
>>148 In general, I think paper grammar books or textbooks are better resourses than those on Internet, especially for beginners.
I haven't read the sited you linked to, thuogh.
>>156 They don't have to be intelligent academic-wise. Some university impose them on special university exam which don't require good academic record. admission on recommendation is prevailing for atheletes high school kids. There are tryout for uni's baseball club. Unis place importance on thier baseball skills.
If you remember the two high schools' names in the video, please tell me.
>>158 Well in previous years students have shown up drunk and they at least get suspended and some kids have been arrested. Pretty stupid if you ask me. That's why my friends and I got hotel rooms for after prom.
>>160 I guess it's the same for high school sports here with scholarships and recruitment by colleges. It's pretty common to see not so qualified students going to good schools just because they were recruited for sports. My university is definitely guilty of that... The schools were Chiben, a private school and the underdog Tennoji public high school.
>>164 Sure, we are. We should make good use of shit scattered here and there. Make compost and use it to grow trees that breathe CO2 and exhale oxgen. Let's clean a world of shit!
are there normal people here in this thread? or are there only frustrated hikkikomoris? can we carry out a normal conversation? are we that fragmented? etc etc
As >>167 says, there are many people here, though I don't think any of us are normal. There are hikikomoris, students, people who work, people who don't even want to live. It was hot in the UK today. Too hot.
>>161 In high school baseball, Chiben Wakayama is very famouse and it's in Wakayama prefecture, not Osaka. I googled and it seems there are Chiben group high school in Nara, too. No chiben group high school in Osaka, it seems. Isn't it Chiben Wakayama in the video?
Talking about Chiben Wakayama, this incident got many public attentions in the spring tournament at Koshien Stadium. This happend when a runner on the third, 2 down in the eighth inning. Chiben Wakayama is on deffence. The catcher walked up to the pitcher and kissed him to relax him, (maybe as a kind of a joke) Very "Uho"-ish but the scene makes me smile. This kiss is dubbed "magic kiss" because it led to Chiben Wakayama getting out of the trouble by striking out the next batter.
But the broadcaster was airing an instant replay during the kiss scene so no video right at the moment of kiss doesn't exsist. The video is editted to include photos of the kiss scene.
You like this video much better than the scene of magic kiss. The girls are from the same high school, although magic kiss was in 2008 and this video seems to be shot in 2006. I'm sorry but I couldn't find any videos where you can see their panties.
I believe the photo from 2:49-2:53, 4:04-4:06 makes your day. The high school is affiliated with Keio university, which is in rivalry relationship with Waseda university, which you might study as an exchange student.
>>179 >>179 Welcome to "Chat in English thread." Some people post from overseas such as US, UK, Germany, Canada etc... Some people have their fixed handle names some don't use a handle name.
I'm psychic and I know your profile. You're under 20 years old. Love anime and you're 4channeler. You say desu 100 times a day. Whenever you see something cute, you screach "kawaiiiiiiii!!!!" You get bored easily and have very short attention span.
You've googled me and looked at the livia_x profiles didn't you. Well, you have it all wrong. When I see something cute, I don't say anything, I just marvel at its cuteness.
I am over 20, well focused and a deep thinker. I do not speak much Japanese at all. But I feel I might be able to pick up afew phrases, because I do watch Japanese drama a lot.
>>186 No, I didn't google before I posted >>180. I posted it based solely on my psychic power, which you can call my wild guess. Now that you mention it, I googled your handle and foundout that there're some people who use the same handle name as you on the net.
You must be the one who draw and love Jonny's agency's boys. Other two girls who use the same HN are cute. I like the African American lool like girl the best. She's sexy.
unless you have access tomy IP number, how would you differentiate between the different liviax? obvuiously the Johhnny's one has a japan factor, but why the artist???
Those who don't follow the minimum rule of using English in this thread don't deserve any attention. And those who try to respond to such trolls are also looked on as trolls.
>>206 ahhh you are still avoiding the question. How do you know that i am that livia? Obviously you know more than I do, maybe you are some secret agent so I better shut up.
>>207 It's too dangerous, don't you think? Write to her and get a reply and then devulge personal info which she would sell to a syndicate, and he'd be kidnapped! His life would be ruined! jk
Anyway, he'd already have done that, if he was serious.
the moment we hit the keyboard we are spreading our personal info all over the net anyway. that syndicate has access to your brain cells, what you have in your fridge and your most intimate things anyway.
maybe he'd prefer being kidnapped to sitting infront ofthe PC writing to an army of livia_xs.
either it is my real name, or maybe i read historyor watch some bbc drama on the roman empire.
the "x"comes from the factthat there are a finite numberof ways you can add extensions without altering the feel of the name , if the pseudonym livia is already taken. either yoyu can add numbers , or characerters, if it is allowed. adding an "x" notonly keeps the original feel but sexes it up a bit,,,,, well kind of.
it is sad if we are the only too chatting, and we are both writing from the uk. (something seriously wrong with the way uk people communicate). are there any japanese english speakers out there?
I assume there's at least 3 people here now - the livia_x-is-mine guy and livia_x and me, and probably a few more people that try to troll us. Can't tell exactly how many, though.
It's already revealed this yokan guy was pretending to be livia_x, and that's why he confused me - I thought he had a gift for abstract art - but the page he referred to was myspace/facebook or whatever, so we were talking past each other. What a shame. I fell for a simple trick.
>>233 Huh? So then there's two livia_xs here? The "yokan-selling" livia_x and the "no-I'm-not-the-livia_x-you-thought-I-might-be" livia_x? It's getting real tough to keep up. I almost give up.
no, i am livia_x, pretending to be the yokan salesman, from roppongi. because someone said that i might actually be a middle aged salesman, i tried to reinforce that image, becaus ei was drinking green tea and eating yokan at the time.
livia_x in this thread, if you're afraid of using the psudonym, use another one. I want you to make it clear that you speak English no matter what psudonym you use.
I am very disappointed in all of you. I told you I was livia_x. You have created an image in your head and I played along to see, with pure intentions , where it would lead. obviously my sense of humour did not match, so i apologise for that. You should have thought, if that is the artistic livia, it is OK. however, you are way too sarcastic. i have meant no harm. As i make my leave, i dedicate this humble drawing, to all you 2Channesters.
>>284 Me? I'm wearing only a scanty now, wich is not so wide that part of my under hairs are in a state of " Hello!". Of course I don't know whether " scanty" is a Japlish word or not.
>>272 Japanese people pretend to get this thread moving by posting the obvious to them. For example, Livia_x, who claimed he was from the UK, turned out to be a Japanese. Now that we are used to this kind of trick, we can tell.
45名前:名無しさん@英語勉強中投稿日:2009/06/18(木) 13:52:51 >>44 As long as this thread isn't customized for a specific theme, you can chat about any topic you like. The only rule we should follow is "use English". This is the idea we share with each other. If you don't understand this, you don't use this thread. I'd say 42 is a rule breaker. What do you say?
Actually, I was the first one who mentioned the possibility of him or her being a Japanese man, I didn't start all this. lol Seriously though, it doesn't really matter to me, as long as something fun comes out of it. But that's just me.
Mine curves to the left side, so it's hard for me to urinate when it is erect in the morning. I always try to aim at a toilet bowl but only to fail in vain.
>>297 My guess would be that it's because most men masturbate with the right hand, and gripping the penis too heavily is bad for the tissue. The force in the grip comes from the fingers which are usually on the left side of the penis when you masturbate as a right-hander.
Hi, I am foreigner, I would like to talk to discuss Japanese music. I love Tokyo No 1 Soul Set the best. I am slowly learning about various other bands , Elephant Kashimashi, Mr Children, Mamalaid Rag. Any fans out there?
At 6:02 the vocal of Elephant Kashimashi got angry at the female radio personality. People who don't know about him much might be surprised how he got angry but, among his fans, he's famouse for his weird behavior so this sudden surge of angery is pretty norm for him and fans don't even surprise at his sudden anger. They love him even if this is what he is.
>>315 Relieve your mind. You are allowed to discuss music, female genital, and Olive Oil here.
By the way, do you know about Olive Oil? But I don't tell you. But I mean the family name of Olive Oil is Hayashi. If you are Japanease, It is very very poor for you not to know Olive Oil though you live in Japan. If you are a foreigner, You are a very very poor because you live in country where Olive Oil doesn't exist.
What is the most happiness that human is born in this world...? It is just to come across Olive Oil!!
I tired to dance like you when I was a student in my classroom. Everybody imitated moon walk but nobody could do just like you. Those were the days... I never imagined I would be NEET back then. If I could, I would give my life to you. I'm less than shit and don't deserve to live on.
I have a Japanese exam in a week, however I don't know it very well and I think I will fail. Can anyone give me some hints or help me to get a good mark on the exam? I'm in second year, but the Japanese course is a first year beginner's course. Thank you...
"'S far as I'm concerned, he killed them, and I don't care what the police say." said Dot in the Hanged Man. "And if he had any decency, he'd leave here, knowing as how we knows he did it."
Quotations from Harry Potter. I don't understand this "knowing as..." here. You know this is a participal construction, but why "as" is inserted in this position? First, I thought this is an inverted sentence, but my dictionary defines inversion of a concession as "adjective(adverb) + as", like "Young as he was, he passed with flying colors." Besides, why does he say "we knows" ? Perhaps the author just used a little broken style? Can anybody explain them? I know 2ch is the swamp of retards, but I believe some grammatical-savvy people are also seeing this thread.
>>342 "we knows" is an attempt to translate uneducated speech to writing. It isn't correct, but it is how some people speak. Also, that phrase "knowing as" is never correct, that should be "seeing as".
Please do me a favour and tell your politicians and censorship groups to leave eroge and visual novels alone. It's one of my favourite ways to study Japanese.
Are there any moves to censor eroge or visula novels in Japan? I don't understand what visual novels mean in the first place. I wonder if they're comic books.
In working part‐time, I had a telephone call from my mother. and she told me that she had a telephone call from someone in Peercast.
It is appeared that she was told that my real name was written in 2ch and that he called with good will by the caller.
Please don't such a thing...
If I am only done, I can be patient. But I can't endure what my family are be troubled with.
Such a thing might not have to be written.
Because she was so worried about me, I also yielded to self‐hatred and fell so cowardly that I am very worried.
I might disappear from Peercast because I suffered from the harassment to my real life. If you really called with good will, please inform me in this thread.
>>347 It is not just Japan's problem. It started in the UK when some British morons illgally sold this rape eroge on Amazon UK. The British morons are responsible for this. And the stupid American morons who jumped on the wagon to bash Japs and their disgusting products. Americans sell bazillions of crime games and America vs Middle East war games, which should be at least equally disgusting to them if those morons actually cared about moral and humanity. They should ban those murder games before complaining about other people's fap fantasy. People all over the world, men and women, have been fapping to rape fantasy since the age of dinosaurs. People have been fantasising and writing stories involving rape, and the game is just the visualised version of those fap fantasy stories. Banning it is a serious violation of freedom. They are banning other people's fap fantasy for crying out loud. You don't like what other people fap to in their private time? Don't look at it. It's like sticking your nose into someone's anus and complaining about how disgusting it is. Butt holes are smelly and dirty, everyone knows it. So don't do it. No one forced you to stick your nose in there and smell it.
When it comes to games, has anyone played PeaceMaker? I think Japanese gamemakers are unlikely to make that type of games, unless those women put off their burqa and start a strip. I'm curious about it.
>>369 you must have got used to listen to english during infant term. otherwise you can't recognize english pronunciation precisely. but the difficulty depends on opponent whom you speak to. old men, kids, non-natives, they speak slowly. it may be worth learning english to speak to them. once you felt necessity of it, you will not give up
hi, any japanese alternative music fans who could reccomend good bands please? i have no knowledge of your language, but I love Tokyo No 1 soul Set, (sorry for repeating this again) thanks in advance,
I am Korean!
BTW English is my second language. I will start Japanese language courses hopefully next week. It is hard to fit langauage leraning in a busy schedule but I am hoping it can be done.
Unazuki Onsen is nice, as well as the view from Himi across the bay. Ehime is nice as well, especially the area around Sadamisaki... I used to live there some years ago
>>401 Sukichi-kun. the second sentence "I found her kind" means "I found of what type woman she was"? Therefore, I think "I found her kindness" is better.
>>357 Yeah, according to the "moral majority" these days, harmless fantasies are worse than mass murder. Or at least that's what I'm assuming from the fact that they want to ban eroge and not things like GTA.
I also can't help but find irony in the fact that I have 120 Days of Sodom on my bookshelf, but would be risking arrest if I were to import certain games and comics from Japan.
Every time a new medium becomes popular here, the thought police try to do everything in their power to suppress it. I think that this is what's happening with eroge in Japan right now, thanks to "radical" feminists in the UK and US pushing their agenda on people on the other side of the world. Just as they always have, they're pushing our own values on to others, completely convinced that they are correct and have a divine right to do so. And it's giving Japanese politicians an excuse to ban these things. Which they might just do, because I've already seen how they will pander for votes.
Japan should just throw everyone out of the Diet and replace them with Uchida Yuuya and Toyama Kouichi already, seriously.
>>358 You're not me. I would never vow to stop making perverted posts.
>>409 Those question marks were supposed to say 「ヘンタイは世界共通言語です」 but apparently Jane Style won't encode Japanese script unless I have even my time and currency set to Japanese. Or at least that's what I'm hoping. If I'm wrong then something is up with the program and it'll be question marks in this post too.
Scotish gentleman, could you tell me which is correct. (1) @Most of [ the attendance at the meeting ] agreed with my plan. AMost of [ the attendants of the meeting ] agreed with my plan.
(2) @I found [ that she was kind ]. AI found [ her kind ].
>>372 Assuming you're dead serious about Tokyo No.1 Soul Set (although I think they were most active in the 90s), you might also like スチャダラパー from the same period, or ケツメイシ and Rip Slyme if you prefer something a bit more up-to-date. These guys have already been established as kind of mainstream though, not totally alternative anymore.
>>413 In the first case, I would say "Most of the attendees at the meeting agreed with my plan".
As for the second one, I'd say that both are correct, but "I found that she was kind" sounds more like something you would say when specifically asked to describe someone. Do you know what I mean?
>>414 Thank you for the suggestion. I found some of their clips on you tube.
Tokyo number 1 released "Beyond the world" early this year, and it is totally awesome! I do not like hip hop at all but I love Bikke's rapping, he blends it so well into the song, it does not sound like hip hop at all.
>>409 >harmless fantasies are worse than mass murder. Or at least that's what I'm >assuming from the fact that they want to ban eroge and not things like GTA. ...playing games like GTA is mass murder?
I definitely prefer the attitudes of secular societies like those of Japan and Sweden towards these issues. In many western countries, public opinion is still way too influenced by Christian superstition. Such as the belief that coming in contact with such devilish material as fictional sex and violence will corrupt your soul and cause you to commit similarly sinful acts in real life.
I've been eating way too much fast food lately. I think I'm just contributing to the fatass fast food eating American at this point. I really need to cook something for myself every once in a while...
Unconfirmed news reports say that Michael Jackson OD'd on a load of prescription drugs, Demerol, OxyContin, Dilaudid, Vicodin, Zoloft, Xanax, Paxil and Soma. I don't know if this is any better than addiction to heroine alone.
Oh no! Michael Jackson was murdered!!! Why would anyone want to murder Michael Jackson, the King of Pop!! I don't think it is possible for me to comprehend what happended to MJ!
I think the difference between a troll and a good poster is that they don't keep bringing up the same topic over and over and over again (,,#゚Д゚):∴;'・,;
these chat in eng threads have became completely populated by trolls and spammers. i do not think many people who are not come here to chat anymore as often as they used to. maybe there are other threads
>>424 thanks for the Noriaki ink. He is truly awesome and original. >>425 thanks, I watched Seikima II clips, they are very entertaining. Awesome quality metal. The singer looked a bit like King Diamond with that make up.
>>348 Thanks, but I think I will fail anyway. It's my fault, I was too lazy. From now on I will continue studying Japanese by myself, and do another subject at college as otherwise I would have to repeat the unit. Thank you anyway.
>>447 thank you ! i see the actor now, who is this gentleman? Are there any films you would strongly advise me to watch? I usually watch drama, currently I am watching "Tiger and Dragon", about a yakuza who is trying to be a comedian. I love the dialogues although I do not speak Japanese! Well I am starting my course this coming week!
People here are geeks, otaku so you guys are in the know but general people's knowledge is very poor. I feel confident after watchig this video. I use Chrome mainly by the way just because it's fastest.
>>450 I just finished watching a drama called "Shiroi Haru" that you might like. It stars Abe Hiroshi (who can be surprisingly badass when called for) as an ex-Yakuza just released from prison after nine years. I can't go into too much detail without spoiling it for you, but I recommend it.
If you're looking for more comedy, then one of my favourites is "Bengoshi no Kuzu" but I'm not sure if you'd be able to find that anywhere now. It's based on a manga series about a laid back irresponsible lawyer and his straight man sidekick. Also, it has Hoshino Aki with her massive breasts and that's reason enough to watch it.
My favourite Japanese drama of all time is Konna Koi no Hanashi, a 90s series starring Sanada Hiroyuki as a rich businessman who finds love and friendship in his final days. Sanada is one of my favourite actors and the series also happens to star Tamaki Kouji, who happens to be one of my favourite Japanese singers. Another old series that I enjoyed was Mada Koi wa Hajimaranai, but that might be too soppy for you, haha.
Also, check out 1 Litre of Tears, Akihabara@DEEP and (since we're on 2channel) Densha Otoko, if you haven't watched those already.
>>450 Thank you very much for suggestions! I will watch Shioru Haru definitely. I loved Akiba atto Deep! Totally hilarious! i wish they made more dramas along that theme. Densha Otoko referred to 2Chan if I am not wrong? I prefer comedies mostly.
>>454 I honestly haven't heard much about her at all since the competition ended, which I suppose is to be expected. The British media does tend to forget about these people pretty quickly. Every year we have a new batch of celebrities on a given reality TV show and then they're completely forgotten until the next year when they might mention them on that show again. I hear that she'll be going on a UK tour pretty soon though.
And yeah, I saw Sanada Hiroyuki in Last Samurai. I liked that movie, but I think I would have rather have seen Saigou Takamori and Jules Brunet's stories told seperately and not thrown together into a kind of pseudo-historical mishmash.
>>468 Mainichi is a joke newspaper. Some people are disgusted at the company while others ridicules their unbalanced articles, believe me, many people are happy Mainichi is in red.
She says in the video she visited Japan three times back then. I guess she's been staying in Japan now, so it may be 4th times. I don't think she was so popular as she might have been years ago, but funny thing was, the MC girl presented her as she was big on youtube and very popular in Japan. She's lingered on, though. She said she wasn't done about 3 months ago... She is a person of few words people have hard time understanding.
>>458 Once she release a CD, I think it'll sell a big time. I don't know about the trend but I heard about a trend in which young women love buddist stautes. Some are in love with one specific statue in photo book dedicated for Buddist statues in temples throughout Japan. And some go visit temple where their favorite statues are displayed. I don't think this and the one you put the link here are never mainstream trend.
According to NBC news, MJ's doctor did not prescribe the drugs that were thought to be the cause of death, and he seems to have not incorrectly performed CRP when he was there. However, an autopsy revealed that MJ had taken some unknown medication. He was on some drug. Did someone poison him for some purpose? Stay tuned.
Debito Arudo claims that he's Japanese (citizenship wise), but doesn't seem to want to blend in. How would you call him for that? Non-Wapanese Japanese?
>>470 y a u hating em? Japaneses do not care IMO. I wanna expless a thanx to em for so understanding Japan. U hater shove ur shit as far upto ur ass as to die. LITTLE BRAT

自民党はポスターを見るだけで目を背けたくなりますねえ。 Aren't Liberal Democratic Party posters so malicious [ as we want to get our sight off them ]?
公明党は実行をやたらポスターに載せていますけど、自民党と一緒に弱い者いじめ実行ですよねえ。 もう宗教の敵ですよねえ。 Aren't Komei Party posters so pretensious that we would like to take their sayings for the opposite?
共産党とキリスト教徒と皆さんで、難民の人達に愛の手を! Japan Communist Party, Christians and we, let us stretch out our hands with love for the people in refuge.
>>470 >I hate weeaboos and wapanese (people who aren't Japanese who think they are Japanese)
People with any Japan-related interests at all are labelled as "wapanese". And I personally find that ridiculous. How exactly would you define someone as "wapanese"? And why do you hate them? I mean, I study Japanese and I'm interested in Japanese history. I'm kind of a nerd and I listen to Japanese music, play visual novels and watch Japanese drama, movies and anime but I'm fully aware of the fact that I'm not Japanese. I love what's left of my own country's culture just as much as that of Japan and I don't understand people who look down on those who are interested in Japan.
Unless you're talking about American narutards. If that is the case, then I completely agree.
>>477 I hear u, but i have a question. Why do people slag off naruto fans? I am a Elfenlied buff tho. and why are death note fans also disliked by people in youtube.
>>460 Oh, I didn't know Magibon improved her Japanese that much already. Unless her and the MC didn't do some reharsal for the show, her Japanese level was already at communication level. She understood what was asked in Japanese and answered properly. She was really good, based on/judging from the video.
>>486 That sounds really awkward. I really don't know a good way to reword that. Something like "I'm the best in the world at analyzing the sentence structures of English." might be better though.
>>479 Generally these types of fans are the worst. They are just really embarrassing to say the least. I'm not sure if i can find a relevant example, but I'm sure you can relate. what a good example would be, but I think
>>485 Seriously, the boy souldn't have filmed the video and have everyone watch it on Youtube for that matter. This is kind of bullying to his own brother. I can't laugh at the way his brother acts in the video. Isn't this a new form of abuse by all of his family members?
This kid uploaded other videos where his brother loses his temper. Not funny at all.
I was talking to a friend online about the resent fuss over eroge. He said something very interesting:
Basically [Japanese people] think GAIJIN is a collective entity with a single thought process, and can't possibly compute that it was just a vocal minority who wanted eroge banned and that another minority actually likes them. People who play eroge don't want eroge banned. Hysterical women who heard about eroge want eroge banned. Do they not get that?
Either way, they don't buy it, they just download it illegally. So it wouldn't hurt them if it's banned or not. The more pressing matter is that those who complain about or support eroge are both unreasonable. We should talk about something else before this - copyright protection.
>>495 It's kind of true what your friend said, I think. It seems that your friend is also one of those who are developing the situation [Japanese people] v.s. GAIJIN though. While it might be true that some Japanese lump those foreign anti-eroge advocators as just 'gaijin', sadly enough, there are some people outside Japan who see some opinion here as a dominant one as well, maybe because of Japan's homogeneousity.
I think it's more like the Japanese media and Japanese people in general are very sensitive to opinions and pressure from overseas whether they are major or minor, and concerned about any negative impressions that Japan as a country might give.
Anyone else watching the new season of Whale Wars? Man, Sea Shepard is just a down right a joke. So far in three episodes they have managed to get themselves lost, stuck in an ice pack, and broken numerous pieces of invaluable equipment. Makes for good TV though. Seriously, even if you think Sea Shepard is a bunch of wackos it's still fun to watch.
This video made me really nostalgic for Japan (especially pertinent since I was there almost exactly a year ago now...): http://www.japanprobe.com/?p=10833 This has reaffirmed my goal to not forget Japanese and I'll try my darnedest to keep learning the language through my college years. It's scary though because I'm already experiencing moments where I forget something that I knew 1.5 months ago.
>>499 Come back to Japan in the future. Set aside a time to read or listen to Japanese every day not to forget Japanese. Remember new kanji. You can't expect a long touch down pass in language learning. It's more like a series of run plays. Small steps at a time leads you to the next level. You can use Skype if you're looking for a language exchange partner.
Apart from that, it's not so scary (or wierd) to forget what you thought you mastered, especially if it's language. I went through such experiences many times before, and I don't think I can retain all of what I'll learn today. From my experience, it's really tough to keep my vocabulary active particulary if I don't use it, so I keep forgetting big words even after I studied or tried to remember hundreds of them through textbooks - I haven't actually used them. lol
Ichiro says he's been making a little effort a day and it took him somewhere higher than he used to be afterwards. So just keep practicing and you'll be getting better day by day. Your effort will bear fruit some time later.
As for Uzbekisutan, I know where it is and if I'm not wrong, it's where Uranium is produced. The student in the video looks very humble. He looks like very serious about learning not only Japanese language and its culture and looks like he's trying hard to achieve his goal.
His attitude makes a good impression on Japanese people. That explains why the audience in the TV studio have smiles on thier faces.
But I know there's a dark side even in him because Slim Shady is in all of us. He is not an exception. If he was given any eroge, he'd be addicted to it and fap like a monkey. I wouldn't blame him in the least though. That's what men's are about.
>>495 >People who play eroge don't want eroge banned. DUH??
Read the main discussion thread on the Eroge board. The discussion is almost entirely about Japanese politicians/parties. There is no "GAIJIN this GAIJIN that" or anything like that.
I agree with >>498 on this: >It seems that your friend is also one of those who are developing the situation [Japanese people] v.s. GAIJIN though.
the best language learning is when you have friends, you learn the language by interacting with them. Language is actually about social compatibility. You can only learn a language through trying to find out where you fit in, it is a long negotiation process. that may lead to feelings of isolation. When you are immersed in a foreign culture, if you do not speak the language, you would fell tongue tied, like an infant ; not being able to express oneself or being misundersteood/ignored is truly a mortifying situation. I would advise you to experience that feeling. It is one of the initiation tests you can put yourself through , to see what your true form is.
>>507 A few angry eroge makers blocking foreign IPs = Japan vs dirty Gaijin? You are basically saying that those angry eroge makers = the whole Japanese people. Way to contradict yourself, troll noob.
Also, it's only natural there are some angry guys who blame it on foreiners (america and britain) because it's a fact that they caused this situation (more precisely, gave the oppotunity for the extreme feminists and politicians to push their agenda). But if you count those angry farmers and rants etc as xenophobia or racism, then every other country is also xenophobic or racist because every country has those people.
>There is no "GAIJIN this GAIJIN that" or anything like that. This was about the real discussion. Not about angry farmers.
I don't know whether it's funny or pathetic how the entire "xenophobic Japan vs Gaijin" mentality is so deep-rooted into so many foreigners (or retarded trolls).
>>510 You claim that racism is not widely spread in Japan, or not everyone is a racist, and then proceed to denigrate foreigners. Racism is silly. Aren't we all grown up enough to appreciate that fact?
Let me talk about what happened in my first Japanese language dear 2channers. We learned to say the basic greetings, a few letters and numbers. Now I am practising the hiragana symbols as homework. There is a lot to learn and I am really excited! I would love to be able to pick a Japanese newspaper and read it, even if I do not understand the meaning at this stage!
If you really think about it, trolling is a very good English practice. No? If you're a native English speaker, trolling is just trolling, if you're learning English, trolling is a good practice. I think. I think this is a great discovery.
Trolling can be fun, but is usually quite boring to other people if you lack a good sense of humor. A public display of masturbation is not much fun to watch.
>>515 if writing to this forum is "trolling" then yes, I would love to be able to "troll" in Japanese one day. Your definition of trolling" is rather vague. >>518 I belive originally the word "troll" had a different meaning, then it was made into net lingo
i wonder what this Trolling-alert-san is really after. A bit of attention I guess. Do you need my attention? is it that lonely ...
>>521 Do you have any specific goals when it comes to studying Japanese? Is it a university course or high school course where you has taken up Japanese?
I first thought like you on the course of English learning that it must be cool to be able to read English newspaper. But now I don't want to read English newspaper anymore. After all, no matter how much I improve my English, it's a lot better to understand things written in Japanese.
And there's nothing I have to get info about only in English. Crucial events which happened overseas are translated to Japanese and reported on Japanese media so, no need to get info from the original sources. So now, my thought is why bother studying English?
>>500-501 Thanks for your words of encouragement and I'll make the best effort I can.
I saw that article on the Brits and manba which was quite disturbing. What the girl said though made sense that she feels more confident when she can essentially roleplay as someone else. >>502 Your last paragraph made me laugh so hard I had to show it to my friends. You should be a comedy writer and make a living. Wow, I'm actually going to save your whole post somewhere lol.
>>521 Good points are raised indeed. There are several possible answers. Perhaps you wish to interact with English speaking persons, or live in an English speaking country. Perhaps being able to speak increases your international career prospects. Perhaps you are in love with an English speaking person.
For me learning itself is the most important aspect. English is my second language, so I too had to make an enormous effort to learn it.
I realised that my way of thinking changed a lot after having to survive in a non English speaking country. Since then I am very open to learning and languages. I attempted to learn three more languages, which taught me a lot about how humans learn.
I love Japanese food, culture, martial arts and have a few Japanese friends. I am impressed by the Japanese work ethic and politeness. I am impressed with the traditional+high tech combination. so this positive image is one of the reasons why i wanted to learn Japanese.
the other reason is of course to satisfy my curiousity, and prove to myself that, human mind can be highly flexible and pick up any language, given the proper tools and motivation.
>>524 It sounds like you have colorful experiences of living overseas. Form the way you wrote 524, I realize your love for Japan and Japanese things. You not only studied many languages but also exposed yourself to different cultures. You sound like you have cutural literacy.
Don't take it personal but knowing basic multipule languages is one thing and being really fluent even in one of them is another. I'd say, the most difficult hurdle you face when learning a foregin language is when you become an intermidiate or advanced learner. That's when you realized how your target language is difficult to be proficient in in a real sense. That's when you realize that no matter how you study your target language, chances are you won't be as fluent as speakers of your target language.
Some people proudly say, "I speak three languages" and things like that, but in most cases, they just scratch the surfaces of those languages. I'm not talking about you. I'm just saying things in general.
Many people are curious about other languages but almost all of them just stop there. And even if some of them make some steps forward and start learning a foreign language, they quit it in no time. It takes more than curiusity to be fluent in a foreign language. It takes perseverance, commitment, dedication and daily efforts combined and you have to study for quite a long time, not just a few years but longer, to be fluent in a foreign language.
I think I just rambled on. Anyway, good luck on your study.
>>543 I haven't slept yet. I think I'll hit the sack past noon.
During the media hype regarding the death of Michael Jackson, I first see Michael is called Jacko. Has it been a common way of referring to Michael Jackson? It took a while to recognize they mean Michael Jackson by Jacko. Is it a nickname or something? Where does the term Jacko come from? Any info is appreciated.
>>525 Thank you for your compliments and good wishes. I agree with you that it gets harder at the intermediate and advanced stages. However I don't view language learning as a competition with the native speakers. I know that I will always have an accent and make mistakes; however I will do my best. And as a result, it will be MY second, third, etc language.
I have to remind myself and the native speakers that despite the fact that I am not born into that language, I am making a huge effort. If someone makes fun of my English, I immediately draw their attention to the fact that they are not making an effort to learn another language, perhaps my own, if they did, they would make mistakes too, however I would not make fun of them.
I think learning a new language is similar to learning how to swim. If you learn by yourself or in a class, it is like trying to learn swimming in a calm pool. If you learn it where the language is spoken, it is like learning to swim in a river or an ocean. However in the river or the sea, there are currents, waves, whirlpools. If you have learnt to swim in a pool and then decide to take a swim in the open sea, you will have to adapt to uncertainty and chaos. You are immersed in the waves and have to survive. It is that dynamism of that makes your swimming more robust.
I agree with you that some people assume that a basic understanding makes them multilingual. Again it is a matter of seeing it as a competition. If you look at >>524 I use the verb attempted, and did not say whether I was beginner, advanced or intermediate. It shows my openness rather than my level of proficiency. If you see it purely as learning, suddenly a whole new world of possibilities open up and it becomes so much more fun. BTW your written English is much better than many native English speakers' English.
>>549 You are talking about こちんには、みさなん or things like this? If so, they already know it. Because far before Japanese kopipe got popular in 2ch, I had read English kopipe in a thread on here on English board.
Actually English version of kopipe came first and then later Japanese kopipe got widely known by Japanese people.
>>552 I don't know what you're talking about, but a kopipe is a joke post that people copy and paste on 2ch and other similar sites. Usually long and intended to be witty or silly.
>>496 You seriously think that all foreign fans download them illegally? I just spent $40 on a commercially released English version of Kira Kira today. And I plan to buy Shuffle! and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni when they are released too.
>>550-551 Thank you for the compliment. It's funny that after reading the last line of >>551 and then go back and read my post again, my post looks better than it did before. It seems like your positive comment to my English makes it look better to me.
Let me get this straight. When I wrote it's impossible to be as fluent as native English speakers, what I meant was not about competing with them. What I meant was that as long as I'm not as fluent as native English speakers, I'll keep finding it difficult to understand English newspapers, watch movies and dramas in English and talk with native English speakers. After all, they are all made for native English speakers. So it takes the same proficiency as that of native English speakers to understand completely newspapers, movies, dramas in English and enjoy them without feeling stresses.
I don't know about you but in my case, even if you're nice enough to compliment my English, I still find English difficult. Because of my lack of English proficiency, I have difficulty in understanding English in those cases I mentioned above, reading newspapers, watching dramas, talking with native English speakers and all. I don't think I'd be able to be as fluent as native English speakers even if I kept studying English 10 or 20 years or even longer. I feel there's a deep gorge lying between my English proficiency and that of native English speakers'.
This gorge is visible only for advanced English learners, I'd say. Maybe it from complete different structure of Japanese and English as a language.
I said I have difficulty when I watch movies, dramas in English and talk with people from English speaking countries. However, I'm not in a situation and won't be in a situation where I need to/must watch movies and dramas in English and talk with English speakers. So this gets me back to the latter half of the second paragraph and the third paragraph of >>522.
There're exceptionally good translators in Japan, so my point is that forgetting about trying to improve my English altogether and stop studying it must make my life much easier and simpler. I have negative views in my life so the way I look at things tend to be negative in general, so just forget what I said and don't be serious.
>>554 I borrowed my wife's PC in secret and was surfing the Net. I was enjoying porn websites spree, watching vulgar photos and all that. Believe me. Now I can't remove a porn image desplayed on the monitor for some reason. An image of Winnie the Pohoo was there on the back of the monitor before, but now an image of Toyomaru with an electric dildo stuck there is displayed. It's been there and it won't go. I tried rebooting in vain. I've got to get her PC back to the way it was ASAP. She'll be back from her night shift in no time. (She's a certified nurse, by the way.) I need your help. It's urgent!!!! The OS is Windows ME. Please, please help me!
>>554 This is a story of when I did a part-time job at a reantal video shop.
In those days, the shop threw a promotion campagin where if a costomer rented three or more videos, he could get his favorite instant food. The campagin was pretty popular among customers. On the last day of the campaign, I was at the counter alone late at night, when a fat cutomer brought three videos to me.
They were all porn videos catering to scatology fetishists. In a situation like this, I always held a straight face and handled a cutomer, and this time wasn't an exception. I took his cash and told him to pick out any freebie in a cart next to the counter, pointing to it, when I noticed only Boncurries are left. I said to him apologetically, "I'm sorry, but there are only curries left." He replied with a big smile, "Don't worry. I love curry." The moment I heard his reply, I lost my straight face and bursted out laughing. I tried hard to stop laughing to no avail.
He was such a nice guy that he didn't get mad at me at all. He just took the scatology fetish videos and left the store with a smile on his face. We are email pals now.
Now, a number of news sources say MJ died of an overdose of a powerful sedative that is not permitted for home use, with some other Rx-drugs combined. Even though it appears MJ got some prescription meds by using a couple aliases, the question still remains: Who gave MJ the medication that he was not supposed to obtain? More to come.

He pitched in WBC when his team was up against Japanese national team. He is reported to have defected from Cuba and is going to make a deal with one of the Major league teams.
North Korea wants to make America realize Kim John Ill, the funny looking dictator of the country, is angry because America has paid more attention to Iran. That's why N.K launched missiles on American national holidays.
>>556 >>557 I understand how you feel! You are trying to "feel comfortable" with the langauge, not just "learn" how it works. That is exactly what I was trying to point at, in my pool versus ocean analogy. You practised swimming in the pool, it is time to take a dive in the ocean! The best way is to visit English speaking countries and try to live there if your commitments permit. That way you will see an enourmous improvement in spoken English, and you will be more comfortable with thelanguage. I completely agree with you English being a different language. My theory is, it is easier to feel comfortable with a alanguage if your native tongue is in the similar group of languages. Perhaps if you were to pick up Korean or Finnish (Finno-Ugrian branch is related to Ural Altaic branches ) you would be more comfortable. However you have invested a lot in learning English, it is a treasure that you should be proud of whether you use it or not. Look, it allows you to communicate with the rest of the world! Can it get even mor eawesome than this? I think it can. Once you open up and make English speaking friends, your view of the world wil change. Hopefully that is what I want to do, by learning Japanese. So please make use of your English and don't give up! you are doing extremely well.

>>621 I wouldn't say it was the official day since that particular tragedy started even before 1776. Have you heard of the Trail of Tears (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trail_of_Tears)? I don't know what the hell Americans were thinking back then. Well, slavery was still going on so I guess it isn't surprising that the government didn't care about the well being of entire nations of peoples. But what do you expect? It's drummed into American kids that the 4th stands for a day when our nation became the best nation in the world. At an early age the black scars marring our independence isn't taught and people would rather forget those things. So when people say "Happy 4th of July" I think they're really saying, "I'm happy my country appears so great at the moment so thanks to our forefathers for creating it."
>>620 Do you have more context? He seems to be saying that even if the teacher is bad it's an easy class.
>>626 You don't believe this but I experienced something very rare. I met someone from Uzbekistan in the evening who study Japanese at a certain International chat website.
He talked to me and the moment I found out he's from Uzbekistan, I showed him the link to the video you put here about the student who were invited to Japan.
The person who talked to me knows him in person and he gave the person a suvenior which is a phelt pen. He said it is good quality compared to the ones he can buy in his country because all of them are made in China.
Of course he knows michiko sensei, actually she taught him Japanese at high school. I joked him I'll marry with her. But he said she's a middle aged woman who has two kids. You may not believe this but this is true. I thought it's small world although I know this kind of thing never happens so often.
This is like finding a needle in a hay stack. But sometimes it seems like a needle get out of the stack on its own and come right in front of you. I forgot to ask him if the man who came to Japan is addicted to eroge now.
I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.
Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents.
So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.
That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.
These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land - a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.
I have tearing pains in the left side of my bowels, probably caused by a malignancy which will eventually devour the whole of my body.
Does this indicate that I am now standing at the edge of a gaping abyss of gory demise? Is my fleeting sojourn on Earth going to stop soon, introducing in its dwindling wake the eternal stupor in which there can be found nowhere my self?
Or does anything await me, such as heaven or hell?
Whatever lies ahead of me, be it heaven or hell, or nothingness, the fact remains unchanged that it is a delightful, blissful event that I am finally extricated from the disgusting entanglements of my vapid, insipid life with no pleasing recollection.
I am sure that many of us are still in grief over Michael Jackson's passing. I'm completely with you, but let's review the whole thing for him yet once again.
So far, we've learned MJ OD'd on the anesthesia Propofol in combination with other drugs, some of which he'd had access to through illicit channels such as pseudonyms and his staff. This is neither to justify nor condemn his addiction or self-treatment, but to keep in mind such a deed regarding medication are fairly common among celebrities, especially if they have achieved a considerable amount of fame and prominence. However, the doctor or practioner who supplied and administered the crucial substance to MJ that should never be used outside a hospital, will be brought to light and prosecuted for murder of the King of Pop. In the meantime, let us continue to mourn.
>>624 Sorr for my late reply. Thanks! Now I understand what he said. Yeah, obviously I complained about my class teacher who is neither capable nor mature, and said what would you do if you were in my shoes? and one man replied like that.^^
>>627 Wow that really is an extraordinary story, but believable. It still amazes me that the internet can turn far off places into your next door neighbor. As for the eroge I imagine he bought a lot of games and is planning on reselling them in Uzbekistan. I'll search for Uzbek auction sites and see if there are any being sold.
>>661 Yeah, sometimes I can't help but feeling Internet sure makes this world much smaller. He said he couldn't participate in the speech contest. I got an impression that the eroge man's Japanese is better than that of the man I text chatted with so if he had prticipated in it, he couldn't have won it.
He said he wants to come to Japan as an exchange student this fall and there's a screening process for that. He lives in Toshkent, the capital of Uzbek. I think his university is the best uni in his country because prospective university he's going to go, if he's selected, as an exchanges student is Tokyo uni or Tsukuba among other unis, which are the best and very good national uni respectively. You can tell the level of university when you know what university in Japan they go to as an exchange student because both Tokyo and Tsukuba universities don't accept exchange students from bad universities in any country.
I guess the fact that he has internet connection in the first place shows he's from a wealty family. I doubt Internet is for everyone there. Most of the lands there must be mountains and desert. It seems like connection speed there isn't fast. When I showed him the link to the blog page that includes the YouTube video, he said, "wait a minute, I clicked on the link but it takes a while to show the whole page. Internet in our country is slow" or something like that. I wonder if he could watch the video. It can take ages to download and watch from the beginning to the end, I guess.
We chatted in English, some Japanese threw in here and there. It seems like elites in Uzbek are not only hentai but also fluent in English. Regarding the eroges in Uzbek's auction sites, I bet all of them are sold out already.
Hello Japanese! I am [b]MILKRIBS4k[/b]! I am a Canadian! Sometimes western anonymous calls me a troll/anus but I can insure you I am not one! Here is a question to yous are you aware of world4ch ( http://dis.4chan.org/lounge/ ) and what is your opinion on it! Why is 2ch anonymous! Does Japanese people like traditional american styled phpBB styled forums or is only anonymous bbs's popular in Japan! Also what do you think of my flash video http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/501214 wwwwwwwww
>>667 Sounds like you're Sparky with a little more communication skill. Has it just started huh? No threads there looks busy. I'm afraid they don't look worth reading at the moment. Why 2ch's anonymous? That's just the way it is. As you can see, there's a name field but not many people use it.
As a person who can't make a flash movie, I think you did a good job.
Standing out in the crowd isn't necessarily considered to be virtue here. That's one of the reasons why they don't type in their names. Another reason would be if you use HN, you can tell which post is whose and that leads to nurtiuring overdose of familiarity and friendship for that matter to particular people.
If you get acquainted with particular people in any forum, you can't express your true negative emotions to their ideas and opinons. If all posters are anonymous, you can be true to your true feelings and opinions and sometimes can accuse people who has the opposite and the wrong opinions to you. This sometimes leads to a flame war, but speaking your opinons and ideas without hesitation is more important and more fun.
>>670 I am not like sparky! I prefer OS 9 to windows me! world4ch has been around for over six years! It's not new! wwww Thanks for the compliment on my flash work! It was my first! I think using names is better than being anon because it builds a sense of community! There seems to be more anonymous trolls! Flame wars happen even more without names I find! >>671 wwwwwwwwwwwww that will be gone in 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. !
Sparky is a 100% pure natural-born troll which is the most sublimated form of what a troll ought to be. The unfortunate part is that he is deemed totally unendurable to most people because of that.
I asked a question in the thread above. I'd appreciate it if you helped me. I transcribe a video trailer of a video game. It doesn't take much time to check my transcription. Thank you.
Why does being familiar with someone's Internet persona make it impossible to insult them? Surely social conventions, as silly as they are in the first place in my opinion, don't apply on the Internet?
For example, >>677 You fucking piece of shit get me a drink and then suck my dick.
>>685 You don't understand what I meant. Let's say you use a Handle name A and you become friends with someone who uses handle name B and you get along well with each other.
When you are in a bad mood or your feeling are hurt for some reason by B, you can't cuss at B like you did in >>685. Because your reputation in a forum goes bad. Everybody would think A=you have been a nice person but in reality, you aren't nice. If you're anonymous all along, you can cuss at anybody whenever you like with your reputation intact. There aren't such a thing as reputation in the first place because as long as you don't use HN, nobody can tell which are your posts from the beginning in the first place.
Lately, 4chan has been having some trouble with tripcode users. They feel that tripcodes are important, that they should all use them, and there is no "attention-grabbing" with them.
I ask of 2ch, and other internet users, what do you think about tripcodes? Are they necessary, important or useful? Thank you for the input!
Speaking of Michael Jackson, another step closer to the story behind MJ's death. The latest news source says that MJ's doc, Dr. Conrad Murray has not yet made it clear whether he administered the powerful, fatal drug Propofol to MJ, while he completely denies the use of other meds on him right before MJ died. What does this unclarity about his statement concerninig MJ indicate? Meanwhile, the LAPD is on the hunt to discover more details.
>>707 Are you intoxicated, stupid or merely an attention seeker. I hate to say this but could please stop repeating yourself, you are extremely annoying! Enough! It makes the forum unappealing, unfriendly and plain uncomfortable for a decent conversation.
Someone asked where the name "Jacko" (for Michael Jackson) comes from. As far as I know, it comes from "Whacko Jacko" - a famous incident, in which Michael Jackson dangled an infant out of the window of a building. "Whacko", or "whack job", is English slang for a crazy person who behaves like their head was "whacked", and now they can't think correctly. "Jacko" is just a nickname for "Jack", and it rhymes with "Whacko", so the name stuck to him.
Also, "take the course for an easy A"... the explanation is correct, but there's a little more to it. In my experience, if you're taking a course for an easy A, you're choosing to take a lower-level course because you know that you'll definitely get an A. It means that you could be taking a more difficult course (in which you might not get an A), but you prefer to get the certain A. In other words, the person values getting good grades over learning new things.
There are other ways that the phrase "an easy A" is used. If a required course is very boring (because you know all of the material), you can say, "Well, at least it's an easy A." And if you have a friend who's taking a difficult course, you might say "For you, it'll be an easy A!" to cheer them up.
>>709 good morning mailto:sage-san, i am eating yoghurt and the time over here is: 01.02 today we learnt ho wto say the time in Japanese ima nanji desu ka? Gozen ichiji desu. Gozen= before horse, Gogo =after horse! so much fun
>>710 Thank you for your answer. Yeah, I know the incident where he held his infant out of the window before cheering crowds. Now I understand where Jacko comes from. It's fun to know that they meant to rhyme in the headline. Keep up the good work with your Japanese study.
As MJ's daughter Paris Michael Katherine put it at the memorial service, we all "love him so much", but as Brooke Shields recollected his favorite song by Charlie Chaplin, we all have to "Smile" on this day, though our hearts are aching... Nevertheless, we'll find out who did what to MJ on the day the world cried out in sorrow and despair at the passing away of the King of music. Stay tuned.
>>710 >"Whacko", or "whack job", is English slang for a crazy person who behaves >like their head was "whacked", and now they can't think correctly.
Is it more felicitous in current English to use a plural pronoun than to use a singular one, when the antecedent is neutral in its grammatical gender? (Of course, 'person' is not completely neutral. One needs 'perdaughter' to strike a balance.)
>Indignation in these cases arises because the victim of racism is not being treated >with the worth that the person feeling indignation believes they are due as human beings, >that is, because the victim of racism is not recognized.
If so, does that hold true for the relationship between 'the victim' and 'they' in the above sentence?
Is there anybody who knows something about the TV show "Top Gear" ? I'm loving it well-known in UK so much, and I recently talked it with my english teacher from England, but somehow his response for Top Gear wasn't as good as I had expected. Asking for him, he feels that show his father likes is kind of boring. Unfortunately I don't know why he said such a thing and even have no idea to get a sense of British people because I'm only a common student still studying English in high school here. So let me know whether Top Gear is really boring for native English speakers if there's someone watching that.
Ah, a loquacious individual~! Salutations. To be frank, the gender-neutral use of "they" as a singular pronoun (for cases in which one is speaking of humankind in general rather than simply of the feminine and the masculine), has actually fallen from popular usage. It is currently considered more correct to say "he or she"; however, this can quickly grow very tiresome, and many of my compatriots (or, rather, co- conspirators) continue to use "they" as a singular personal pronoun when referring to hypothetical situations.
Another charming personal-pronoun variant that has almost completely disappeared is the use of "one" when referring, obviously, to oneself. Perhaps the best example of this style of speech is Jeeves, the infamous butler from "Jeeves and Wooster". It bears some resemblance to using こちら instead of わたし - very archaic, but possessing a certain nostalgic elegance that one is hard pressed to find in modern parlance.
I'm American, and although I don't really care too much for Top Gear, my little sister watches it constantly. It's a great show, and you don't even need to like cars to enjoy it.
My god this site is hard to navigate when you can't read japanese. I hope this button replies to this thread, because I'm not sure how far I'm going to get with trial and error without some luck too.
>>728 Keep posting. If you write "sage" without quotations in E-mail field, the thread stays where it is now, meaning it doesn't get many attentinos.
If you you make the field blank and post, this thread goes up to the top of the list of threads in English board,( http://academy6.2ch.net/english/subback.html) meaning everybody notices something was posted in this thread and some may try checking this thread. Sometimes that invites a troll but getting people's attentions is sometimes good. There're both advantages and disadvantages.
>>730 Cheers! I am already familiar with saging but from most BBS's I frequent using it is a sign of disapproval, it didn't occur to me that it may serve a legitimate purpose elsewhere.
>>731 No problem. Never heard of the usage of "sage" before. Different forums have different rule and culture.
In 2ch, there are a few reasons why you doon't want a thread to the top of the list by saging.
1) A poster who is shy, humble and reserved doesn't want their posts to get many attentions. Still he wants someone to read his post so he sages. 2) When a poster knows his post is a bit off the topic or irrelavent to the conversation going on, he post using sage showing he has no intention of disturbing the converation. 3) Sometimes posters in a particular thread don't want any newcomers or afraid of drawing in trolls or haters. In that case, sageing is encouraged and even a must. If you break the rule, you sometimes get cussed, like, "you'd better sage, you moron."
>>732 I'm always curious to know how you people overseas got to know 2ch. I enjoyed your story.
Oh, one of the reasons he uses sage is that he posts by sageing in one thread and in another thread, he forgets to delete sage. Sage stays there if you don't delete the word in the E-mail field so you have to delete it on your own.
I use sage in this post. I think this is because this post is complement of 734 so I just thought I don't need to bother to make this thread go on the top.
This woman on the right did a live translation when Apolo 11 landed on the moon. She was a university student back then as far as I know. After people watched her translate what the astronautes said, it's said English learning craze broke out among Japanese people who wants to be fluent like her. She was an icon among Japanese English learners back then.
Personally, I'd like to watch a discussion on Language acquiring between her and Chicago's high school Japanese teacher Mrs. K*****, both sitting in comfortable sofa. I'd like to see them disagree with everything in the discussion and finally Mrs. K***** loses her tember and slapps Mrs. Torikai in the face and Mrs. Torikai strikes back and spits on K*****'s face. They both starts screaming and pulling each others's hair frantically.
In the background of the ugly fight, high school students makes appearance, American students coming from the left, Japanese students from the right both in a raw singin "La la la la la la..." like a scene of musical. They all holds hands and sings and dances with smiles on their faces while the two old women keeps screeching and slapping each other's face.
>>743 no i did not ever post a photo of myself here. i have though linked to threads on 4chan here where sparky had posted. maybe you are thinking of this? sparky photos were in such threads.
>>749 I understand what you mean now. Still, I don't think he allowed you to put the link in here. Call me Mr. Justice. I never allow anybody's mistakes and ill behaviors no matter how they are trivial while I'm easy on my own mistakes.
>>748 I'm going to kill myself, too. I hope someone'll find my body before it starts to rotten.
well on 4chan i told him 2ch said hello, and then he said hello back along w/ posting a photo of himself, so i linked it when i posted his hello back message in 2ch.
>>751 From the context, it seems like he intended to show the photo to 2channelers so I shall not punish you. The charge is dismissed. I shall allow you to go on a journey to sow appleseeds throughout the U.S. and Japan. Von Voyage.
>>727 Thanks for your reply, which has dispelled the tingling sensation which has been getting stronger every time I see a sentence in which a singular antecedent is represented by a plural pronoun.
>Ah, a loquacious individual~!
I'm not a eloquent person. In fact, I'm too clumsy a conversationalist to communicate with others well even in Japanese, still less in English.
Blazblue was just released in the West, and all us Western gamers are going crazy over it. However I understand that's it been out in Japan for a long time? What are your opinions on blazblue? What would you say is the best fighting game right now? Thank you!
It is quite natural that you should smell of fish from you because you are a telescope gold fish, so you need not worry about it. Everyone knows you are a charming Demekin.
>>767 I have heard that SFIV(PC Ver) cannot play on Virtual Drive Software without Crack. If that is possible and you have any information about that, please tell me.
>>768 Yes. It comes with Securom DRM which won't let the game run if you have any virtual drive applications installed, which is idiotic. I paid for this game and I want to be able to play it no matter what software is on my PC! That's just about the only bad thing about the game really, I can run it on the highest settings getting a constant 60 FPS on any stage and it is pretty fun to play (especially online).
I have to defeat 3 metal slimes by using a character who has the "magic barrier" skill and get her to adminster a finishing blow to the slimes so that I can become a magic swords man. Damn, it's a pain. It's tough to even find metal slimes and what's more they flee soon even if I encounter one. It's fucking frustrating!
I've changed a figher to a battle master. Basically, there's almost no difference between those jobs at the point, but I'm sure battle master will surpass a figher in every respect. I'm at the scene where I board the ship to another continent just after beating up Nushi sama, which turned out to be the late papa of a daughter named Origa.
I did it! I finally did it! I've huntered down 3 metal slimes and changed from a thief to a magic swordsman. The battle master has already reached level 16. lol My bad, I mistakenly killed 4 or 5 metal slimes without using magic barrier, so it wasn't counted even though I defeated more than I planed to.
So Every student in U.S are on summer vacation, right? (I don't know about other countires.) What are you doing everyday? Do you have any plans in summer? Are you doing part-time job?
Just sitting in front of PC and wasting time all day?
>>791 I heard American university students do part-time job in summer to deal with university's tuition. You're kind of an exception? Maybe you live with your parents. Plus you're from a wealty family so you don't have to earn some money and can play eroge as long as you want.
>>797 Ooops... I meant to say from September, not April. Our school year starts from April. Besides that workers fresh from university starts working from April so somehow I said April.
Then you are just a temprary member of our club. I don't charge you membership fee so enjoy the club to the full until you get out of it.
>>802 But hey, all you are planning to do in summer is just sitting at the PC monitor and wasting time like this and doing nothing productive, huh? I know I'm the last person who can insist laziness is vice, though.
Are you going to participate in a job fair or something? If I'm not wrong, once you graduated from university, you can't participate in a job fair organized by university.
>>804 i pretty much just sit at my computer on image boards such as 4chan for most of my free time. my uni does do job fairs but they suck so i stopped going to them.
>>805 I don't understand what's interesting about imaga boards, maybe partly because I don't store funny images found on the Net in my PC to share except photos of taken with my digital camera.
I like a text based forum better. In case of a image board, your chat evolves around a photo posted and conversation there are limited to the photo while in text based forum, you can chat whatever you want. I don't think photos posted on image board are funny from my limited image board experience. Maybe it's something like an aquired taste, though.
>>806 well it is just like this, only that the change would be that you can add an image along with your text. most people don't though. the only rule 4chan has over this is that the OP must have an image. so often people will just pick something random or unrelated just to make a post. then people post back and forth like this here in 2ch. but having images makes it so much more interesting
>>807 I see. I haven't tried 4chan much. Just a few times so I don't think I understand much how it's interesting, what attracts people to 4chan and what's so addictive about it.
>>788 I actually have job Monday-Thursday which is a paid internship. I almost worked at a Best Buy (biggest chain of electronics stores in the US) but my internship is so much cooler. All I can really say about it is I'm working at a museum here.
Actually, almost all my friends have jobs this summer despite all those terrible statistics out there about students not being able to find work.
>>811 I'd say working at Best Boy gives you REAL working experience. You have a chance to handle customers first hand and expose yourself to real business. Sometimes you may have to handle difficult, grumpy and demanding customers but that's a real working experience, I'd say.
Visitors to a museum have at least in a rather higher class of a society because people at the bottom of a society never goes to a musium. So visitors there are relatively easy to handle. I'm under the impression that students in any internship program is protected from harsh reality of working. No offense but this is just what I thought.
are there any Japanese computer games that would run on a shabby computer (or Super Nintendo, Playstation1 or Gameboy Advance) that have furigana on all the kanji? The only ones I found via Google were some of the new Zelda games, but I don't have a Wii or DS.
>>825 Internships are better for careers though. I'm not looking to work in retail for the rest of my life. At the museum I'm on a team developing a new exhibit so I'm actually not involved with normal day to day business there.
Are there any native english speakers?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzUh7R-0jPQ これのyou feel the cold hand の handが hond に聴こえます。。。どうすればちゃんと聴こえるですか。。 'hand'in the lyrics'you feel the cold hand' sounds like 'hond' for me.. WHy?and 2 channeler said.'thats why you dont know how to prononce correct 'ae' sound'
>>837 I have a several questions to you. How can you be so self-centered? Shouldn't you tell at what time of the video the phrase comes? Don't you think it's easier for respondants to answer to your question that way? You make them listen to the PV until they find the phrase?
In my case, I listened to it for 5 seconds and quit because I realized how arrogant you are.
I would like to hear how native speakers would describe this "hand", too I'd greatly appreciate it if as many native speakers as possible could comment on it. Thanks in advance.
>>847 It's good you had a good time there. I think you should settle for going there as a tourist. There's no freedom of speech and everything and Russia is still one generation behind other developped countries. There's no democracy there. Corrupt businesses and politicians are everywhere.
I think young women are beautiful there so you are just being dazzled by them. I think you met the Russian woman and she showed you around there. Instead of you living there, have her come to UK. Russia's never best country to live for the rest of your life. I can imagine its scenary and architecture is superb but still other things are rotten.
>>850 It was fairly interesting being shown around, though, not always as a tourist. Of course, there is a mixture of good and bad. I did see some free speech, barely any vandalism, they have a wonderful metro system, and the people are helpful and accommodating. As you say, the architecture and history are fantastic. However, it's not all good; there is not much in the way of welfare. There are a lot of beggars, quite a bit of deterioration in the suburbs, and laws are a bit lax. Just outside Moscow's main train station, Leningradskiy Vokzal, a couple of Armenian cobblers tried to pick my pockets.
And anyway, she enjoys her job too much to leave it behind. One of her students showed me around one day, a friendly Siberian girl, but just not the same. A Jewish-Russian girl who teaches Russian to Koreans showed me around St Petersburg, but she was pretty strange, and wore a t-shirt with "Enjoy Cock" (instead of Enjoy Coke) printed on it.
>>853 Oh the English you'll see abroad. You might have covered this already but how is the average 20s something Russian at English? I feel like your tour guide would get some funny looks right quick. Then again I saw the same phenomenon in Japan, but due to the unfortunate stereotype it did not surprise me...
>>853 How did the cobblers act after you recognized they were trying pickpocketing? Did you shout at them or walk away from them quickly not to ask for more troubles?
>>854 All in all, barely anyone in Russia speaks English, nomatter what age. Even at ticket kiosks for major tourist attractions (such as the Kremlin), the English is at its most basic ("You want a tickets? 250 rouble!"). Most of the tourists were Russian themselves; I only ran into one family who spoke English, and they were from Spain and wanting directions. I must run off to work now, but I'll cover the reactions of people to foreigners when I return...
>>856 They just pretended nothing was going on, and just went onto trying to convince me to show them my phone. But I just walked inside the station. No idea what would have happened had I confronted them, so better safe than sorry, I think.
That's true, tourist spots. Still, I bet they don't speak it on a daily basis though, unless they're in the tourism industry or required to do so for their jobs.
>>857 Have you noticed difference of hight between Russians and British people? I mean, which people are taller or maybe you guys are as tall as Russians.
>>838 Are you the one who took a book keeping test recently? The guy in front of me smelled bad. I guess he didn't take a bath and brush teeth regularly. His hair was curled. At first I thought he had his hair curled intentionaly. Soon I noticed his hair was just unclean and messy.
>>863 >ここにいる外国人の人は日本から書き込んでるの?それとも自国から? I'm not in Japan, posting from my own country, and I guess the same goes for most other foreigners on here. >2chって海外から書き込めるんだっけ? Normally yes, it's possible to post here from overseas. But the telecom companies of some users here are banned, so they need a Japanese proxy server. Doesn't affect me, though. Not on 2ch, at least. I also go to 2chan.net and I do need to use a proxy server when I want to make a post there, because they don't allow foreign IPs.
>>867 People in America and Britain go to school too, and they usually get taught either French, Spanish or German. But I wouldn't go to England expecting to find a lot of people who actually speak any of those languages well enough to be of any use beyond saying stuff like "You want see an Buckingham Palace? 20 Pound!"
Height doesn't matter much if she is beautiful and volumptuous. Height might even make her more attractive. We dream of girls like supermodels but it's only in dreams.
I guess it's rather woman who avoids that kind of relationship. Woman loves taller and more handsome guy, right?
>>895 >Strong negation. Why? shitty music, and shitty fanbase consisting mostly of 12 to 16 years old neo-nazi losers. Rammstein has definitely produced some cool stuff, but overall isn't really my cup of tea either. Best thing about both bands are actually the lyrics of their songs, pretty funny and creative at times, especially Rammstein.
>>897 He's playing an FPS game and randomly blabbers about killing people. Like, "Ich hab ihn umgebracht!" means "I've killed him!", and "oh mein Gott, was ist geschehen!?" is a very theatrical way of saying "Oh my god, what the fuck did just happen!?" which he says when he gets shot by someone else in the game. That fat kid considers himself a hobby actor, and the video is his interpretation/parody of how the German mass media portrays the average player of violent video games.
>>857 [Continuing...] Russians, on working out that you're foreign, don't really react much differently - though the first time I was asked for directions (and so tried to give them), the guy stood back with his hands up slightly, like you would do if you were trying to show someone you were not being threatening. Another time, on asking something myself, they just looked slightly amused. Most people seemed just a little surprised at seeing a foreigner, as they're mainly found in tour groups.
>>861 Basically, what >>882 said. However, Russians are, in general, much thinner than Brits. At least in the female demographic, I saw maybe only 15 or 20 who were fat (under the age of 30, anyway) during my entire time there.
>>884 no i was very serious about this younger man who was a couple of cm shorter than me. He wouldn't want me wearing high heels, he made negative comments about my height, etc etc. It ended in severe heartbreak.
>>907 If you wear 10cm heels, then you'll be 188cm tall. Now, that is not just greater than average height. However, there must be some people with a height fetish out there, so don't get your hopes up.
I could not possibly wear 10 cm heels! I'd get vertigo...they are too uncomfortable. Shorter women manage them because somehow physics is on their side.
Haven't taken a bath for three days. Getting to stink. Better take a bath today.
I didn't take a book keeping test which someone mentioned above. I'm Neet and I don't go out so I don't need to take a bath.
>>910 Why don't you plant a confidence in him saying that how tall/short he is doesn't matter at all to you. Many people aodre a tall woman. You should be proud of your hight. Keep good posture and straight your bock bone up like a super model. Be confident or else I'll send you a bottle filled with my body odor.
>>911 thank you for your kind words. It is too late now. The height gap was not that much compared to the age gap. I think he adored me too but was too proud to say it. Actually it was my confidence that started it in the first place.
Re: body odour. If you look after yourself, eat well, groom well and exercise, your natural body odour would stimulate the senses (in a positive sort of way), Women sense men by their natural body odour.
I tried it once. I didn't know you had to stir it. I managed to eat it,to my surprise it was delicious and my stomach was thankful for it. Now I have three more natto boxes in the fridge, but they might have gone off.
My purpose here was to chat about language, music, drama, food and so on rather than looking for companionship. I posted the question when I saw the "height" discussion re: Russian and British men's average height, so I hope I I have not misled anyone. I have no idea how tall Japanese men are, there are a few in the UK, and they seem about that range you quote. They are lean, elegant and some with delicate feautures.
>>925 it's ok, it can improve if the locals put more effort into growing more fresh produce. itis not like France or Spain but better than most Nordic countries. the problem is the lack of sunlight. Vegetables don't grow or ripen very well. Going out is really expensive, so you have to cook for yourself. The quality improved a lot however the price went up too.
>>923 you need someone to wash for, if you cut social ties with the outside world, you would become introverted and unhappy. here, I put my clips on, but would be nicer to hug a "just washed" human being.
>> yes daylights are long, but getting shorter every day. longest was the 21st of June. Somedays it is very beautiful, sometimes dreadful. Right now it is windy with lots of sunshine. Temperatures seem to be increasing every year.
"In der Heimat wohnt ein kleines M:agdelein Und das heisst: Erika. Dieses M:adel ist mein treues Sch:atzelein Und mein Gl:uck, Erika. Wenn das Heidekraut rot-lila bl:uht, Singe ich zum Gruss ihr dieses Lied. Auf der Heide bl:uht ein kleines Bl:umelein Und das heisst: Erika."
She comes to hate women because she was bullied in the woman only office when she was young, and she is spending every day by clothes and the wording like a boy now. She hss two children, and her son and daughter have already become a fine adult. If you look at her close up, blotches below eye or the wrinkles of corner of the eye gives an aged impression to you. But she still seems to be in her twenties when seeing eight meters or more apart from her. That reason might be her figure is youthful and her movement is delicate. Perhaps, it seems that Olive Oil is 56 years old woman who looks the youngest in Japan. There is no such a type of woman among young women today.
>>954 Thanks for talking to me. I forgot whether I declared that I'd take a bath last time I posted, but I didn't take a bath in the end. So I haven't taken a bath for 5 days. Or six. I don't even know now how many days I haven't taken a bath. One thing I know is my face is kind of like itchy and when I wipe my face with the rim of my blue T-shirt I'm wearing now, something white powder is left on my T-shirt. It's scurf.
Plus, I really stink. I'll take a bath today. I mean it. I can't stand my body odor anymore. Thank you for the offer, but I have nice liquid body soap and shampoo so no need to send me bath salts. I don't know what bath salt is. Is it a liquid soap including salts?
Japanese people in gneral are famous for their cleaness and Japanese makers sell all sorts of soaps and shampoos that serve for Japanese trend of cleaness. I know I'm an exeption. Japanese people are senstive to their cleaness. You'd be surprised how many products are sold in Japan to be clean. Sheets of paper that are supposed to place between armpits and your clothes are sold, too to prevent your shirt is wet with your sweat. This product is popular with women.
This product is just one of the examples. Japanese people have creativity when it comes to cleaness product.
Russians, on working out that you're foreign, don't really react much differently - though the first time I was asked for directions (and so tried to give them), the guy stood back with his hands up slightly, like you would do if you were trying to show someone you were not being threatening.
These senteces are hard to understand? Can somebody elaborate on this?
>>904 If you are like shizuchan from nankaicandies, no thank you. If you are like angelina jolie, advantage is bigger than disadvantage. I want to flaunt you walking with me.
I'm not a fan of Angelina though. Just picked up a good example everbody can think of.
Today, gook is more popular thanks to the korean waves.
Distinguishing koreans from japanese is not impossible with careful watching. Cos Koreans are more handsome and sturdy. I'm glad to be carelessly included in gook category instead of Jap.
I stopped the procrastination and took a bath now. I rubbed my body really hard with a towel like when you wash an elephant. I shampooed three times to get rid of oil and scurf stuck to my head skin and hair.
I rubbed my face so hard that my face is red and sores. I shaved my face and now I look like a Hollywood movie star. My skin is as silky clean as a newborn baby and a skin care product company would offer me a CM.
Now anybody can jump into my arms. Don't forget to put off a clothes peg off your nose. You can put it on again when I hug you three or more days later.
Fish-san well done! now we need to change your name to Movie Star-san. Congragulations on your bath. Here, I give you a hug. without the nose clip. I know what you mean about cleanliness in Japan. there are three nations in the world who are obsessed with taking baths: Finns, Turks and Japanese. One day if I can visit Japan, I will head straight to a foreigner friendly onsen. I should not become a yakuza and get tattoos before I visit the onsens. I heard they don't allow he yakuza memebers in onsens. anyway, women cannot be yakuzas, right? I am curious about the Hokkaido onsens. I would love to try Japanese soaps and bath cosmetics, unfortunately they are hardly available here.
From american bbs:People are just mad becuz a black man is president of this rasist ass counry . if it wasn't for slavery you dumb nigger ! you would be living in Africa right now , dieing of Aids or walking 10 miles a day for water . so be happy that white people brought blacks on ships from Africa . when will black people evolve to looking like a human ? Why are blacks' hair always so grease?
>>960 No, I don't. If it's a hot day, my room is like a sauna. I just use an electric fan when temperature gets too high with windows open and meshed window closed so that wind comes in. AC is too luxurious.
Today's energy saving technology of AC is phenomenal. It doesn't cost money as much as you think. Think about this choice. I bought AC for smallest room, just for 5-6 tatamis. AC cost about 50,000yen at that time. That was the chepest kind among new models sold in appiliance store.
Don't your body itch either? Heat and sweats must make yourbody uncomfortable.
>>961 Thanks. Nobody congratulates on just taking a bath, though. :p Don't throw away the nose clip. You'll need it in three or more days if I start to make a personal record of not taking a bath.
Yeah, although getting tatooed has become a fashion statement for some people in Japan like the rest of the world, tatoo resembles outlaws, meaning yakuza in Japan and if you have a tattoo you can't bathe in onsen, can't go to swimming pool and public bath. Some people get rid of tattoo when they have a kid because they can't go to swiming pool with their kids. Tattoo is still a taboo in a way.(pun intended)
Women cannot be yakuza but wives of yakuza get tatooed. The designs of Yakuza's tatoos are different from those of young people for fashion statement. Japan's young people's tattoo is westernized and the design is in many cases, geometric and gin women's cases, butterflies and such. And they are relatively small while yakuza's tatoo is very big and sometimes almost the whole body except neck, face, hands and feet.
Don't you feel shy about taking a bath naked with other people in onsen? I heard western people are confused with the notion of taking a bath with strangers.
>>966 Even if AC itself is getting inexpensive, there's still electricity bill to pay, right? Once you turn on AC, you never can't turn off because you get accustomed to the comfort it gives you and that leads to much electricity bill.
I try not to use an electric fan because once you turn it on, you can't turn off and I'd end up keeping it turned on all day. I wonder which electricity bills is cheap, electric fan or AC. If it's almost the same, I think I'd better think about buying an AC.
Yeah, I know that just using dehumification function makes you comfortable.
Body itches, too but somehow it stops itching after three or more days. Instead, face starts to itching after three or more days. I wonder why.
No. I can't do that. cos familuy member start to critisize my odor. I take a bath almost everyday but a family member reluctantly notifies me of my odor of sweats from my t-shirts.
By the way, Do you change your clothes? I sleep with my daily clothes on. I won't change into pajama. I sleep with t-shrits and underpants. I sometimes use t-shrits for two days in winter time when thigs are bothering. Sometimes it reveals though..
If you keep on wearing the same clotes for a few days, you are king.
>>972 No, I don't change clothes. I don't change to pajamas either when I sleep, meaning I keep wearing the same clothes until I take a bath the next time. My hair gets sticky after three or so days so I lay out a towel on my pillow so that the pillow won't get sticky.
My parents are accustomed to me not taking a bath for days so they don't tell me anything now. I think as far as you keep distance 1 meter from me, I don't smell that bad. If you step into 1m range, you'd feel dizzy and if you're hugged by me, you'd faint. Sometimes my mom tells me to shave my face but she doesn't tell me to take a bath anymore.
Now that I've just taken a bath, I smell like a soap. I know this won't last many days though.
>>975 That's a pun? Nice try but "Tatoo is still a taboo" is a better pun if you ask me.
So there are two Fish-sans here, Fish-san and Fish-to-be-san.
But Fish-san has transformed into a Movie-star-san, albeit temporarily. Fish-to-be-san will be his disciple. "Sensei! please teach me the language of body aroma,...onegaishimas.." he bows. Sensei throws a mean look in Fish-to-b-san's direction... "that is my trade secret... it will cost you"...
How will the story unfold?
>>968. People taking baths and making an effort for grooming should be congragulated. Because it is a speacial event for them. Don't you agree? I can imagine, maybe if your room is already hot like asauna, your bathroom w might be unbearably humid, naturally you wouldn't want to be in that enclosure. What you need is lots of space and a calm, cool atmosphere with warm water. Anything other than that requires effort and should be congragulated.
I do not like tattoos, but in case I decide to become a yakuza, I guess I need a tattoo. What is the point if I cannot be a Yakuza and act really tough that is so unfair...being a Yakuza wife must be boring...no adventure
well I have been to a public SPAs when I was a child, yes I never thought about being naked in the same bath as an adult, but if other people act natural and don't mind me being there I would be fine ( I hope :-D)
No no not nordic, (phew glad I am not, they age rapidly)
It's likely that the homeless folk around here are have better hygiene than you... you disgusting pig. But your stories are entertaining at least. I'll contribute one. I often piss in the bathtub because I'm too lazy to lift the toilet seat.
The AC for my house costs around $400-500 per month. I use fans too, but they hardly help. I don't really mind paying for it though because otherwise I'd be living in misery.
Second, I'd guess your face itches because bacteria and microscopic organisms have accumulated on your face (and those organisms shit, which leave allergens on your face).
>>978 A library sounds good because they keep AC on all day.
>>979 Piss in the bathtub must be sootihng. It feels good whenever you break conventional rules. I often pee when I take a bath, but not in the bathtub but the area where you wash your body. Japanese Bathroom is different from that of Americans so we don't wash our body in the bathtub. Some kids pee in swimming pool at school.
>>987 Natto can last long so you don't have to worry too much. You don't store huge amount of natto, do you? If you are too worried, just eat today. 988 might be right.
fish-san today i got caught in the rain on the way home, then on the way to and from a tango lesson.the dancing was for two hours and the rain also soaked me too. i thought of you. maybe i cannot compete with your fish-ness but i did feel..wet as a fish. a good shower and a cup of tea made me recover. that i what showers and baths are for, i thought.
