Hey!!! you NEETs, nerds, YouTube-link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboos from all over the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, and cunning linguists. And let's hope the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!
ok, the other SUREDDO almost reached over 9000 so here's my questions I demand some answers:
a) what application should I use to segregate all AA? I have thousands and it's always VERY slow to find something, I want tags what do YOU use? I'm sure you got like millions of JIS arts saved on your pc, how do you manage all that?
b) which board on 2ch has the most 荒らし?
c) is there something like a japanese version of urban dictionary?
thxkbai, plz answer, in any language you want >___> 39
>>10 a) I have no idea, I'm a windows user. b) Probably VIP. There's no clear distinction between normal posters and 荒らし there. c) Not that I know of. This is one I can find on the internet but only has like 2000 entries. ttp://zokugo-dict.com/ If you want to look up an internet slang word, then you can try はてな. ttp://d.hatena.ne.jp/keyword/
>>10 I don't have that many AAs yet, but I basically order them the same simple way I've ordered all the pictures I've accumulated through years of lurking image boards. I just save them with a descriptive name and search through them using the regular file and text search tools my OS provides.
We should change the name of the thread next time. "Chat in a world of shit" or if we should pay respect to the current one, then it's "Chat in English (in a world of shit)"
That'd explain well what the thread is like. The description of the thread (>>1) implies we are in a world of shit already, though.
>>11 >>13 you guys are dumb, just cause I know japanese words don't mean that i'm japanese >___>
>>15 yeah well, I use windows too, what program do you use on windows for AA? thanks for b) and c) !!!
>>16 yeah dude but I need metatags etc, otherwise searching is slow, saving thousands of text files is not fun at all. did you know you can have only max 32k files in a dir on ext2 filesystem? not gonna save each AA to a .txt like a homo, I want some database with tags, indexing etc. doesn't matter what OS
MJ news! As we've learned, the LAPD is now treating MJ's death as a homicide, and based on several pieces of evidence, they have almost reached the conclusion that Dr. Conrad Murray administered the drug Propofol and that drug was the primary reason MJ's heart stopped beating. As soon as the autopsy result comes in, the LAPD will put MJ's doctor in check, finally. It is now just a matter of time. To be continued.
>>26 Thanks. Actually your MJ news is the only source I get information about him from. I wonder if the doctor knew the drug can cause the serious damage that led to his death or if he tried to kill him in the first place.
Don't answer "No problem. I just did what I wanted to do" or things like that. You are too humble and reserved so I somehow have this urge to choke you with my hands. Too much politeness cause adverse reaction, at least to me.
>>24 What the fuck do you think you are saying? A world of shit was already established here in chat in English a while ago, so we'd better take it as it is.
if you cannot sleep, don't sleep. Don't watch/listen/read stress inducing films/programmes/books. Stop taking tea, cofee, and caffeinated drinks. Clean your room, install an air conditioner, take a warm bath, drink warm milk before going to bed. Wkae up early and go to bed early to regulate the sleep triggering hormones.
It's hard to distinguish true politeness from feigned politeness. The latter means to be impolite under the cover of politeness. We can tell it by his expression in the real world, though.
Tango dancer... Never imagined there was a dango dancer in this thread, more precisely, in the previous thread. Typical people here never dances nor play sports such as football, basketball and baseball. They're just glued to PC all day, wearing thick glasses, playing eroge 24/7.
If you had skipped taking a shower after the two hour tango lesson, you could have been 1/100 as smelly as I am. If the lesson was for four hours, you could have been 1/50 as smelly as I am. In any case, no match for me.
You can't be as smelly as I am unless you dance all day with all windows shut and AC turned off and ferment your body at least one day by sleeping wrapped in think blanket. I haven't taken a bath for only two days so I don't stink now. It's just that my body is getting sticky and my hair and face are pretty oily but not smelly. Anybody can topple me and become the next BO champion now.
A very astute question on MJ's doctor is raised now - Did he know what would happen to MJ? He should have, but it seems like he wasn't fully aware of what he was doing to MJ. Apparently, the fact the doc had been trying to revive MJ for hours until the paramedics arrived there indicates that he neither expected a cardiac arrest nor intended to kill MJ. He must have known, however, the drug should never be used outside a hospital. And surprisingly enough, in 2007, Dr. Murray was nearly sued for malpractice after his failed heart surgery on a 67 year-old patient, although the patient's family could not afford a lawsuit against him. With those facts in mind, it is fairly safe to assume this doctor is not amazingly professional or competent, at least. More to come, stay tuned.
fish-san i am just a beginner. I don't even have the right shoes. You see I cannot wear heels and it is very difficult to do the ankle twisting hachos on flat shoes. Re: odour factor; 45 mins of walking home in the rain, (no raincoat, I lost my umbrealla too), quick change of clothes, cycling to the Tango lesson , 15 minutes, with just a cotton jacket, 2 hours of intense exercise, 15 mins of cycling back in the rain. It was exhausting.
>>37 Didn't you ride a bicycle with one hand holding an umbrella? Many poeple use to ride a bike like that when it's raining. Although, when it's too windy and raining so heavily, this way of riding is too dangerous.
In Japan the way you ride a bike is prohibited by law a few years ago because it's dangeraous.
The bike riders with open umbrellas tend to collide pedestrians on busy streets, mainly because of poor visibility. So the riders should put on raincoats when it rains.
>>52 no, i lost my umbrella, although i bought a new one yesterday, I cannot ride a bike with one hand only.
i noticed a policewoman on a bike in the corner and cycled past her. If it had been night time, i would be warned to carry lights and visibility belts.
I see the interesting umbrella holding gadget, but it wouldn't be useful in windy UK weather. But thaks for your suggestions. What i need is thin breathable splashwear that wouldn't make me feel like a wet fish.
>>48 Thank you for the song. The singer looks like he takes a shower three times a day and looks very clean. http://www.utamap.com/showkasi.php?surl=B34650 You can check the lytics of this song here. I'll translate it later if you like.
>>62 It's hard to explain to foreign people. Japanese people asked for equalization and Japan became similar to a socialist country. But lot of things have changed in the past several years. For one thing, the number of "working poor" is increasing.
>>56 aaah today i got rained on again, despite the new umbrella. It's the wind. It throws the water at you in buckets. Its like walking through a car wash.
btw Fish-san your bathing problem is solved! Just subscribe to this service!
Thanks, this Noriaki guy is pretty awesome, he looks like a character straight out of Akhibara@deep ! his smoking style is hilarious. He is standing there half naked in the freezing cold. Skyfish and Kimi wa poison(2nd half of the song especially) are fun songs too.
thanks for the offer re:lyrics. If you can tell me what he is singing about that would be more than sufficient. I have a few songs that are very mysterious to me, could I save my "request for translation" for them?
>>68 Although the MANWASH is great in England, it wouldn't catch on in Japan, I suppose. Because there is already a similar service exsiting in Japan. It's called SOAPLAND. You know, different cultures, different people. however, it seems, all men in the world are silly. They want to have their bodies washed by girls in bikini's. Ready to go?
>>68 Thank you very much! I read its website including fine print but it turned out that they don't have any branches in Japan. I emailed them too see if they have any plans to start business here in the near future.
Lyrics are sometimes too poetic and doesn't follow grammar rules so sometimes they don't make any sense and are very difficult to translate. But tell me what songs you find mysterious. The lyrics website has large datebase of Japanese songs' lyrics, so tell me the titles of any songs and singers' or bands' names and I'll translate.
Regarding the lyrics of the song by the man who takes a shower three times a day, he's singing about a man's happy feeling. The man in the lyrics is very happy because he's walking on the street with a woman he loves holding her hand. Everything looks beautiful to him because he's very happy. Weather is nice, too. Just being with her makes him happy and a nice melody echos in his head. Every step he makes feels lighter just because he's be with him. Worries in his life dons't matter at all now that he's walking with her hand in hand.
>>70 This Manwash serivse seems to have a lot more lighter tone.
>>74 Is the word 'double' like the word 'KAGEMUSHA(影武者)'? Yeah,it's deadly useful especially during war. Enemies, friends, all are deceived, and the subjects become happy.
I wish I had a double for myself. I could be a politician, a magician, or a criminal. BTW,I wonder if there are the doubles for VIPs these days.
Do you also think that any of the head of democratic countries, like the U.S. President, ever had doubles? That means the President also deceived American People.
Today was a national holiday so Japanese people didn't have to work or go to school for three days. Dud you go anywhere to enjoy holidays? I stayed at home.
July 22th is the day when eclips is obsereved in Japan.
thanks for the translation! it sounded like he is happy in his gentle little world. He looks so vulnerable though, as if he is scared that something is going to change. but his innocence and goodwill dominates.
he has another song called Ophelia, which might have been written for his cat!
anyway there are a couple of songs that i am very curious about: the first one is the Crazy Ken band, awesome song which i can sing too. ifound th elyrics an dthe translation is confusing/or may have ouble meanings.
He sounds like he is talking to a woman, but he might be talikng to man. Looks like he is going to drown him/her in the sea, a kind of revenge almost. Or is he? It is the soundtrack to the rakugo drama "Tiger and Dragon" which was one of the best drama i have ever watched.
>>86 ”If you go through the tunnel, the sea comes in sight. Keep going until you come to Mikasa park. Like back in those days, I'll wear a poor-taste Sukajan and I'll be wating for you there. So come in a hurry.
Lesten to me. Just five minutes is OK. I don't care about the money you owe to me. You can cry embrased by the tenderness of your loved Yokosuka sea. HA! Listen to me. Just two minutes is OK. I'll tell the truth only to you.
Inside me, me and me fight with each other. That's kind of like a dragon and tiger glaring at each other on the back. There are luminescent jellyfish floating in the murky Yokosuka sea like the moon. HA!” **************** Note that there's no sea called Yokosuka sea. It's just the sea you can see from the city of Yokosuka. I couldn't find the best English expression for 横須賀の海 so I ended up translating it as Yokosuka sea.
"me and me fight" I think it means something like some form of conflict, conflicted feeling inside him. I'm not sure though. Again, there might be better translation for it.
Suka as in Sukajan comes from Yoko"suka". Yokosuka is the birthplace of Sukajan. Sukajan is kind of like a symbol of rebellion and delinquency. As you see, Sukajan is not in good taste as fashion and actually the lyrics says that it's poor taste but I think he's proud of wearing it.
>like a dragon and tiger glaring at each other on my back.
I think a dragon and tiger are embroidered ones on the back of Sukajan. I'm not sure if the person he'll be waiting for at the Mikasa park is a man or a woman. But maybe the person is his old buddy he used to hang out with in Yokosuka when they were younger.
I don't think this is a song of revenge or anything. He says in the lyrics that money he lent to the person in the past isn't a big deal. He has something important to talk to him/her. Maybe he's worrying about his old friend. It's impossible to know from the lyrics what happend in the past between the two but it's sure that he won't kill him or anything when they see each other at the park.
According to Wikipedia, when he made this song, he wanted Akiko Wada to sing it. He sang the way she sings when he recorded this song for CD release.
This song is one of her most popular and well-known songs. She shouts HA! many times in the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDUJKnltKz8 0:31 0:51 1:13 1:29 2:20 2:36
Total eclips is coming up. It must be romantic to see it with girlfriend. But I'll watch it alone. I think I'm evil because at the bottom of my heart, I hope it'll be cloudy or rainy on the day.
>>88>>89 Fish-san, thank you so much! This is truly awesome. I am very happy for the song information, thank you for your time and effort.
So it seems it is a very private song between two people, which is perhaps coded in its own way. So from the pictures of soko, it seems more like a man's jacket. So the person he is dealing with is likely to be a man.The guy has something very important, a secret to tell him on that particular location, and for some reason he needs to say it quickly.
What could it be? he must have a surprise for that person. why would he refer to "embracing the sea"or "jellyfish lurking in the sea?" it has more like a " ...you are going to get what you deserve, I will send you to the bottom of the sea that you love so much. You will float with the jellyfish there" kind of feel to it. he wants to finalise something, he wants it quick, there will be some sort of confession before it happens. My imagination is a bit film-noir I guess.
Akiko Wada has such a strong, confident voice. I like the "Ha!" in her other song, it is such a great song. And when they sing it together it is twice as moving! It makes me want to sing it loud on the streets.
we definitely have to sing this together Fish-san! I will make sure you have your bath before we go to a karaoke club hehehe!

here comes the second mystery song. I know he is very popular with women and loathed by men . it is from Kamenashi Kazuya's 1582. Translations on the web say it is about the wife of a general, why 1582 is significant and how it is written from a woman's point of view etc. i watched the fancam clips of 1582, he walks as a woman into a battle field while singing this song and uncomprehensible things happen to him (like taking off on a jet of water then he flies into the air!). Whether it has anything to do with the lyrics is a mystery.
>>118 Glad you like him. As you can tell, a lot of unattractive guys hate and attack him out of jealousy. He's really talented and always commited to pushing the original Japanese music scene to the next level, whereas Japanese musicians of other genres are busy imitating western styles of music like rock, hiphop, techno, etc. Enka is the last music that truly appeals to Japanese people with Japanese hearts, I'd say.
What do you mean by "soko"? You mean "Sukajan"? I think "a dragon and tiger" on the back is embroidered on the back of the man's Sukajan who will be waiting for a man/woman. Or he's just mentioning a popular/typical embroider design of Sukajan. And yes, in general, men wear Sukajan, although some woman might wear it, too.
I'll answer with more info later. I asked for opinons of people of the band's thread in 2ch. I'll translate their responses into English, too later. So let me put >>119 on the backburner. I'll handle it later.
One of the posters in Crazy Ken Band's thread have a question to you. He/She wants to know out of curiosity what is it about the song that attracts you so much? He/She also asks you if you have any other songs of the band you like.
>>97 These are the translation of the posts in Crazy Ken Band's thread.
<Poster A> The lyrics is open to various interpretation. The person can be a man or a woman. But I don't think he told the person to come to the park for revenge. There might be a possibility that the person misunderstands him and come to the place with hostile attitude, though.
<Poster B> I think the lyrics is about strong friendship between the two. The man is trying to give a helping hand to his friend whose life is going in the wrong direction.
<Poster C> Although he says he doesn't care about the money he lent to the person, maybe he cares about it. Because if he really doesn't care, he doesn't mention the money. I think while he cares about the money, he also cares about friendship with the person.
<Poster D> The man is trying to pursuade his friend (male) out of wrongdoing he engages in.
************ Another poster there says that he/she read somewhere that 俺の話を聞け, which I translated as "Listen to me" is what the vocal's father always said to him when he was a kid.
My understanding is that the man wants to talk the person longer if possible. But maybe the person don't want to listen to him for some reason. So I think what he means is "If you doesn't want to talk with me for a while just give me five minuites or even just two minutes." Sorry. I should have translated them, "Give me just five minutes" "Give me just two minutes" instead of "Just five minutes is OK" and "Just two minutes is OK."
The vocal and writer of the song, Ken Yokosuka is from Yokohama, and he seems to have a deep emotional attachment to Yokosuka and the sea, which is near Yokohama. Maybe he used to hang out/hangs out with his buddies even now in Yokosuka. The two (imaginary) characters in the lyrics are probably from Yokosuka or Yokohama. They have emotional attachment to the sea so that's where "embraced by the sea" comes in. No matter if it's murky and there're lots of jellyfish, they love the sea.
Jellyfish there was well-known by locals according to one of the Youtube comments of the video.
"I'll tell the truth only to you." could be "I'll tell my true feelings only to you." It's difficult to translate the original Japanese sentence with little clues and contexts.
>>156 Obsessed person? I'm not sure what you exactly means by that. I'm just an ordinary person who hasn't taken a bath for four? three? I forgot days.
I'd like to introduce you all to the "Shit World Theory".
I believe that, underneath everything in this world, there is shit. Underneath all of the wallpaper and wood, you will see that your house is built upon a sturdy foundation of shit. One might say that they have never seen shit in their walls. Well, shit can be deceiving, and may take the form of something else.
Shit is known to take the form of a beautiful geisha whenever somebody discovers it. That's why the geisha are going extinct. People have discovered that there is no skin beneath the make-up. There is only shit.
I passed the pre 1st grade at the first try years ago and didn't take the first ever, so I'm not sure exactly what level I'm at now. I'm not studying English now, like trying to memorize big words and to solve multiple choice problems. It's kinda boring for me..
I have passed the 3rd grade when I was a junior high school student. From then on I didn't take the 英検 exam. And I didn't study English seriously from graduation.
So I think to want to take the pre 2nd grade exam next. But I forget even the 3rd grade level's grammar and words almost. haha
I've been thinking about a lot of things lately, and one of the things that sticks out on me everytime I come across it is the unavoidable fact that I'm worthless. Yes, we don't have a measuring stick that can measure what a person's worth is, but still I can honestly say that I'm worthless, because I don't have anything going in my life and I kind of don't mind that at all. I think it's what defines worthlessness (I don't know it's even a word.)
Hey, did you know today the sun was totally completely solar eaten by the moon? Did you notice that without knowing that would happen beforehand? Then you are a genius of massive calibar.
I didn't remember the year to be honest, but almost every Japanese including me know what happened in the incident. Oda Nobunaga's ambition of unifying Japan was broken in 1582. The incident changed the tide of Japan's history.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nouhime This is one of his wives. The article says, "The marriage was a political gesture and many believe there was little love between Nouhime and Nobunaga." So rumor has it that this lyrics isn't written from her view point.
I read a few blogs of Kamenashi's fans and some people writes that this lyrics is written from a viewpoint of Mori Ranmaru. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mori_Ranmaru
Homosexuality in battle fields doesn't seem to have been uncommon. Both Nobunaga and Ranmaru died in the incident in 1582.
Anything can happen in a PV and it doesn't necessarily have to be relavent to the lyrics as long as it is made from a director's imagination and it's his/her way of artistic expressions.
I searched on Youtube for the PV but I couldn't find it. All I could find was videos made by each fans of Kamenashi. The closest video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8OWzbEhf-s where you can see him wearing kimono. ********************** <1582> Ruled/controled/overcome /obsessed, all the way to the tips of my fingers. Numb like crazy. My inside of my head is falling apart. I'm now... Why? Where?
Light disappears in front of my eyes. Eternal sleep, Shh... But...
Flirtatious words/line, red lips, numb heart, dancing and getting shook up. I'm drowning in the bloods and stained.
What is reflected on your eyes when you go to a place far away? Please, please, keep grabbing/gripping me with the/your hand.//Don't let go of my hand. Every minute we spend together, grip innermost in my teeth. Not to rouse forever, I put my hand on my chest and pray for love.
Even bruised heart is healed just by looking at you. It's not like desire or anything. It's unconsciousness. Shh... But...
Medicine/Drug that heals the wound. It feels good. I wonder where you'll go tomorrow.I don't want you to go./I don't want that. Drowning in the bloods and stained.
Dreaming of days with you, stars went/scattered in all directions. Please please don't rouse. I pray with my hand on my chest. It's tenderness or what. Changes colors every seconds. Forever, keep grabbing/gripping me//don't let go of my hand, with your love. ******************* This lyrics has some abstract and ambiguous words and expressions, and they are hard to translate. If there're two or more possibilities, I used "slash" and showed some possibilites. Sorry too many slashes. :) Some parts where I didn't use slashes can be interpreted differently from my translation, too.
Personally, I don't understand why Kamenashi's so popular. I don't think members of Johnny's entertainment are so cool. There're actors who are cooler than Johnny's boys such as Oguri Shun, although he doesn't sing.
>>131 Fish-san thanks so much! you have put some much effort into this research, I am truly embarrrased (in a delightful way).
Apologies, it wasn't meant to be "soko" but"Sukajan"... We learnt "koko, soko, asoko" the other day, which slipped into my mind.very sorry! I like the sukajan jacket on the model, maybe it is his posture that makes it look good.
Thanks for asking the Crazy Ken Band thread about the song. This song has certain elements that are very striking.(to me) My reply to their question is:
(1) When I heard it on each episode of the "Tiger and Dragon" drama it would immediately engage my attention, I would say "I wonder what they will come up with this time..." Without knowing about the band, I could imagine some yakuza boss sitting at a table smoking heavily and drinking and this guy singing to him, about something important to the yakuza boss, who would be on the verge of tears. Sorry I sometimes imagine too much ! :-D
(2) It felt like the singer was very much set in his ways, hislifestyle. he had rules, codes of life that only a few would understand, and his words would be powerful, moving but sorrowful.
(3) Indeed in the band video there is a group of tough looking outcasts, very insular and set in their ways. It looks like being loyal is top priority in the gang. they want to be mischievous but, not criminal.
(4) The singer's voice is powerful. He sings very slowly and asserts himself. That is why Iget the message that something an inner conflict is going on in his head, he wants to put something right, he wants to relieve himself of some pain in his own sort of way. At every note there is profound sadness, pride, and a sense of delayed justice.
(5) I guess I sympathised with the Yakuza wanting change his life, he was so sad, so miserable but he endured everything with a great sense of humour. he learned to "smile" despite everything. His sad and dark loneliness matched so well with this song. it was as if the song was written for him. Nagase Tomoya was truly amazing, but the it was Nishida Toshiyuki who stole the show, awesome actor.
(6) I have not found another song of the band I like equally yet, but I am watching their videos whenever I find the time. I will definitely let you know if I find one.
>>153 Out of these replies from the band thread, I strongly agree with poster A, and disagree with poster C.
I think he says "money is not important" because he wants his friend to definitely come to that place. he doesnt want him to think he is after money, because he has something more important, a truth to reveal and (in my wild imagination) a life to take, to settle his revenge.
>>154 No problem, you have done a mervellous job translating them, it makes a lot of sense even if the meaning diminishes through translation. That is why I want to learn Japanese, to find what things really mean, to "feel" the language.
"give me five minutes.." "two minutes" show how desperate he is to see him, it is adorable. and the jellyfish, although real, might be a metaphor for a corpse, the sea "the other side"...
>>204 I haven't encountered all of them yet, but according to a walkthrough, it's about 15 if I'm not mistaken. And this is just a bit annoying, but you have to beat a boss at least 16 times before meeting another one. After defeating a boss, you are asked to give it the experience points you've aquired and let the boss level up and you need to do this 16 times. So in a nutshell you have to defeat the "level 16" boss in order to get a tresure map and find a next boss there. Namely, 15 bosses and 16 times fightings in each means 240 battles. How painful. lol
As for me, I've defeated "Baramosu" the first hidden boss only 5 times. Long way to go.. Plus I've already spent about 60 hours playing Dragon Quest 9 in total. lol
ill find a bunch of crickets and rip there legs off except 2, so the can still? make noises. that way it sounds better.and than i guess ill find other ways to own them!
>>184 worthlessness is a feeling imposed by the society. how do you think a human being's worth is measured? who measures it? you are made to feel worthless, so someone else can feel worthy. If you accept the "worthless" feeling they impose on you, someone else will be favoured. So the trick is, do not internalise this feeling of worthlessness. What is more important is , to find and do things that would make you feel that you are not worthless. It is a confidence building trick. Otherwise your life will be crippled, paralysed by this feeling. Don't let it get to you and take action for yourself.
Thank you so much again for the translation and research. So it is about a historical Yaoi story eh? Now it makes so much sense. My theory was, this song was a request from a rich middle aged fan of Kamenashi's (and Oda's) perhaps. Maybe it was comissioned to him to sing about at his fierce warlord, For a man who wants to marry Koizumi Kyoko, it is so unlike Kamenashi to write a song like this. I think he was told to sing (and act) this fantasy of a middle aged man.
sorry I am getting carried away again with my wild imagination!!
Johnny's boys aren't allowed to act cool, they have to act cute. they have been "designed" by marketing think tank as the ultimate consumer product for women. They have to be criminally cute, clean looking on the outside, sexy on the inside. I read somewhere that, women want to be entertained by men who are the complete opposite of their fathers, that may be one of the reasons why JE acts have been so successful.
>>205-207 I translated and posted your reply in the thread. At first, I just meant to translate the lyrics but somehow I went further.
I don't agree with the poster C, either about money. I don't agree with you about the revenge thing although jellyfish and the sea as metaphors does makes sense. Never imagined jellyfish is a metaphor for dead body floating in the sea. You have a great imnagination!
Another poster there posted later that he heard somewhere that the lyrics and the melody of the song came to Ken Yokoyama's head while driving a car. Just another additional information about the song. Keep up the good work with your study of Japanese.
>>222 Your welcome. Yes, it seems like the rumor of Yaoi behind the song is spreading. I don't know about the middle aged man theory but it's not common that boys/men in Johnny's entertainment write lrycs and make melodies on their own is it? So anbody else but Kamenashi wrote the lyrics and made the melody. Funny thing is the lyrics wrote by n and the melody was made by M.Y. Too mysterious. I would say it's ridiculous. n and M.Y.? Those doesn't mean anything. I thought why just one alphabet letter and initials? It's better to make them blank.
The Johnny's boys are basically for Johnny Kitagawa's sexual pleasure because he is homosexual as you know. I didn't know a think tank is involved. I think Johnny's entertainment knows what attracts women inside out. That's for sure.
I wonder if I can post here through my school computers. It's annoying though, the computerse here are able to view Japanese but not type, and you can't go into the control panel to set it up either. :(
>>229 I'm in my 20's and in College, I take classes all year round, so I'm here at my college's computer lab. Had a class that started at 11 am (it's 1:43pm now), waiting for my boyfriend to get done with his class so we can go home. I wish I could figure out how to post here when I'm at home.
>>223 yesI can imagine Ken-san talking on the phone while driving:
"listen to me! just listen! 5 minutes is enough, no 2 minutes...":-D Thanks again! our elementary Japanese course is coming to an end. Our sensei left for a break, another sensei is teaching the last two lessons. I feel very sad she that she is leaving, she was simply awesome. i hve never enjoyed starting a brand new language like this in my life.
>>225 I read about Johnny K's inclinations. Whatever he does behind the scenes, he is an amazing businessman. It must be tough for the talents, that must be why the little turtle wants to retire and open a boutique.
kamenashi is ugly and not popular at all among normal japanese people. He has been failing one after another in his drama. However because he is in the big, influential talent agency, he's been given chances. Please stop talking about kamenashi.
A man who was naked in public and arrested will return to the commercial film sponsored by the japanese government. Does the government publically admit pervertish act? He is also in the same agency. We are in a world of shit. Indeed.
In general, the applicant's head, including both face and hair, should be shown from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side
I don't understand expecially "on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side" this part. Please someone explain.
>> yes i know those pictures, if you look carefully, you can even see that he has had some cosmetic surgery. He had a lot of facial shaping done, like eyebrows for instance. However, even before these changes, he was Ok. Yhe looks androgynous, but he is obviously a man. A bit on the anorexic side.
>>233 Is he going to cut off his penis and insert silicon at his chest? Isn't it just that he's just saying that to get attentions? I guess he has to gone through a long process of counseling before having cosmetic surgery because once you cut off your penis and balls, there's no way going back.
Isn't he just a cross dresser? Because he seemed very happy to have a online Japanese girlfriend. He gets horny by looking at woman's nude while he thinks at the bottom his heart he wants to dress like a woman and wants to try women's hairdo.
I don't think he has to go through a sex change. All he needs is panty and bra. Regarding a panty, his online friend アメリカ人 can send him a lot that he stoled.
If I found out that my favorite actress have doen consmetic surgery, I would quit being her fan. It's not because she was ugly before the the surgery but because her mentality she has that cosmetic surgery can help her look good. Yeah, a facelift in most cases helps you look better but it's artificial beauty and not the beauty she has from the beginning.
It's like cheating on the test. I don't admit any type of cheating. Shame on people who do cosmetic surgery. It's like you inject steroid and and make a better record in track and field event.
Everybody does facelift in show business so I don't blame a particular person. Maybe facelift is a way to be competitive in show business. Still, cheating is cheating. Shame on them.
>>256 There is often a lot of pressure for them to get surgery. Show business is all about a person's image -- you look old, audiences lose interest. Or so many believe. Either way, it is difficult to live by one's principals when everyone is watching you age.
That aside, I agree with you. Vanity is the worst personality trait. Vain people are -- or at least seem -- very hollow.
>>255 him and chad, (a famous /g/ cross dresser), got to chatting and now sparky is cross dressing more than ever. he also says he has felt a female side of himself and he posts under two trips. one for male sparky and the other for female sparky. he has said he also wonders which side of sparky should take over for good.
>>263 One for male Sparky and the other for female Sparky? He has a sense of humor. No matter if he is male Sparky or female Sparky, he doesn't listen to anybody.
>>274 He was a good actor in "Kimi wa petto", however being a Johnny's elite, he is scary, not cute at all. I find the Arashi boys cold and not so cute, especially Ohno Satoshi looks dismissive.
can someone explain why Kamaneashi Kazuya is hated so much in Japan? Raesons other than his looks please. Is it because of (a) possessive male Kyon Kyon fans (b) possesive Turtle fans (c) other reasons
Hello Japanese 2channelers. There is a site named http://secretareaofvipquality.net/saovq/ which is an English BBS like 2channel except smaller. It is all silly sort of chat geared towards nerds but we would really like some Japanese users who can speak English. Please come and try out your English and say some silly things, thank you.
>>277 I don't know if Kamenashi is particulary disliked. All Johnny's boys have their shares of haters. Kyon Kyon's fans are middle aged and it's impossible for them to hate and be jealous of Kamenashi.
I don't think you can see Akanishi level boys on the street and at your school while there're boys who is more cool or as cool as Kamenashi at school. Maybe that's why he is hated? It's like, "I don't understand why Kamenashi is very popular. He's doesn't deserve it. His look doesn't look exceptional, and just a little bit above average... Why is he so popular? I don't like him."
>>280 so is Akanishi more popular due to his grade 1 bishounen looks? I never thought Kame was just above average, he looks like a cat reincarnated as a human with extraordinarily beautiful eyes. He looks calm, very calm and sweet and a bit melancholic. Of course you guys would know how he behaves, I cannot read the news about him unless they are translated.
>>281 What makes you say he is creepy? i am very curious now.
I'm a Japanese nerd who loves saying silly things. I'd like to post silly things in English as part of my studying English. But I don't want to offend anyone here. I feel this thread much more normal and healthy than that of Japanese. (That's a good idea, I think)
>>290 I don't know which is popular, Akanishi or Kamenashi. Maybe Kamenashi is more popluar than Akanishi. What I think is that Akanishi is more handsome. So I don't know why Kamenashi is more popular than him. Maybe his character. Kamenashi level boy is in a classroom or at least one in one school, while Akanishi level boy is rare.
So you like Kamenashi's eyes. You know Kamenashi had his eyes gotten cosmetic surgery. But you still like his eyes. I don't like artificial ones. Let's say one actress has nice boobs. The moment I got to know they are fake and silicon, I wouldn't call them nice boobs anymore. Fake is fake. It's cheating. You know Kamenashi's eyes were slant and swollen before cosmetic surgery.
By the way, as you might know, Akanishi stayed in America for a year or so. I don't think his English drastically improved but at least maybe he can communicate with you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ge7awMEzuE I doubt he understood what she said. As long as script is at hand, he looks like as if he had understood what she said by nodding.
>>306 I am not a fan but I want to know why he is considered a snob. He looks a bit frightened. He seems to get on well with Yamashita. The two are very funny together.I am a fan of neither of them.
>>315 I like him too. But I like HIRO who is a member of EXILE better than Hiro Mizushima. HIRO is 40. But he has beautiful long hair. He always says "Yabai!" "Hachikiremasu!" "Ikiritattemasu!". Even though he is 40, I think he is cute.
I've just heard about Johnny's small boys and Hiro Mizushima from my daughters. I didn't know anything about them. Because I'm a middle aged man who doesn't watch TV except 2channel.
>>321 No... I don't mean everyone who is 40 is cute. I think only HIRO is cute. He would be cute if he put on kindergarden yellow cap. What do you think?
Hi, I'm home. I was very moved by Bruce Lee who starred in Enter The Dragon. So I tried to copy his beautiful fight(action), which I failed. The only thing I was barely able to copy was his kinky shout.
The movie, which I saw in my early teens, had a great influence on me. I may have been to be kinky. I'm a sort of kinky OYAJI now.
middle aged men are not cute. men lose their sweet wild side by the time they are 35-40. Because men's energy is like a burning fire, compared to women who burn it like a candle, they don't last long so their youth should be treasured by us women :-D a men is his sweetest from 23-28. That age window is what all women should aim for. Go for it girls!
men over 40 have to make an extra effort to look good. they should exercise and learn how to let go of things and be more easy going. I have no idea why young girls like older men, it must be their wallet they like.
on the contrary, women bloom over 30-35, under that age they are unripe. they get to live longer. they get better with age just like wine. ask the younger men and they will tell you...
>>354 wrong. since women outlive men and are larger in numbers, life gravitates towards them in more positive ways than your miserable natto-porn category concept. real life has nothing to do with the internet enforced categeries you mention.
don't get me wrong. i like smoke cheese, natto and mature women, but the fact remains they are a minority by aesthetic standards concerning female beauty in any society. indeed, the internet reinforces its peculiarity but they are out there.
yes but publishing, internet, media... they have been in the hands of a few old men with big money until now, of course the whole world is being forced to viewlife from their point of view. Humans are like herds, they get to be born into lives set by rules ...by who..? a bunch of old men. it will be like this for a long time it seems. those who are brave to experience life as it is will see the reality.
well, where there's demand there's supply, and that's how business works. the same goes for loli to young and fresh girls, which happens to be a dominant preference among most men in real life. but that does not necessarily mean you have to be bound to something you don't like, definitely. go for whatever you like.
>> i disagree with you. you cannot just go for whatever youlike. There is a profound sense of narcissm in that approach of life. There is a balance to everything, human relationships are not 1 and 0 life balances it out in unexpected ways. However old men had it too good for a very very long time. as they get old they feel so insecure, they seek unxperienced women so they cannot be comapared with younger men. what you are a mentioning is just a manifestation of that fear. and amazingly the whole system is based on that.
hm, you seem to be misunderstanding how most men think of things in general. when a man has a chance to get a car, for instance, he is more likely to go for a latest brand new model of the year if there's no budget limit. There's no insecurity involved in the decision making process. that's just what men want. however, there's some men out there who prefer a certain old model because they are enthusiastic about it. and this is what i was talking about. clear now?
My preference for women might be a minor one. For instance, when I was young, I preferred older women rather than younger. It's lucky for my DNA to survive. I have been under less competitive circumstances.
this is why older men lose their shine. they index the worth of everything to money. because that is all they can offer, they think. The monent you view life according to those set of economical terms, you are a slave to its hierarchical views. A woman is not a car you drive, she is a human being capable of much more than you. You cannot compare scraps of metal to a human being full stop. Unless you are viewing her as pounds of flesh, that's how it is. That is such an incredibly narrow view of how life works.
>>364 maybe nature intended younger mnen to mate with older women, because if there is a child is born, it would be in the hands of an experienced woman and a dynamic, agile young man. thatis the optimum family to be born into for the baby
It's relatively easy to get married with a woman who is over 25. Most men love younger women. If I love older women, I'm under less competitive circumstances.
as a matter of fact, i intentionally excluded the economical factor from the determinants and narrowed it down to the man's pure desire so you could clearly see what men are like deep inside. it is true though that life is not as simple and people find deeper meanings for closeness and intimacy in relationships, but that's a different story of course. things compensate as you said life balances out in unexpected ways, i suppose. so it's also true that you can't always get what you want.
>>368 In nature it is the male that shows off his skills and beauty. It is the female that makes males compete and she chooses a mate. Humans have recently broken thatrule by setting up a system that rewards men with lots of money, and allows them to have relationships that nature would not normally alllow. So even the most repulsive and old men get to reproduce. Young women also take advantage of this unnatural system of course.
The majority of customers of host clubs are actually hostesses who work in the same industry, prostitutes and middle-aged women with money, and they do spend ridiculous amounts there. The ace host says he makes 3 to 5 million yen ($30,000 to 50,000) a month. Serious business.
Mental disorders are spreading in Japanese people. That's one of the ways to get rid of stress for wealty women. As for me, a meddle aged boring poor man, posting ridiculous things here is one of them.
>> normal humans should be stress free. stress is good when we are fleeing in the face of danger. fellow humans can relieve stress. If it is building up, something must be wrong with the way humans communicate.
You are welcome. Life is tough. If you worry about everything life is unbearable. I try to laugh at my mistakes, my way of relieving stress! That doesn't mean I am not self critical, but I see that life needs a lot of laughter to balance out things.
>>381 I agree with you on that point. Normal humans need healthy stress to survive danger. However, more and more Japanese people feel harmful stress these days. I'm one of them.
>>385 I'm not 381, but a productive way to get rid of stress is to exercise. It keeps you healthy physically and mentally. For example, I go mountain biking when I feel stressed or anxious.
>>387 Thanks for your suggestion. I ride a kind of オバチャリ bike to commute for one and half hours a day. Riding the bike, enjoying nature would be better.
Modern culture has failed us. We are becoming numbers and liabilities. Industrialisation has stripped us of our humanity. We are no better than the machines we produce. And in some cases, we are worth even less than those machines.
>>391 Riding through the city can be good exercise, but after a while it just becomes routine, doesn't it? It's much better riding through a forest or hiking trail. Makes you feel alive.
>>415 Yeah, It's cheap but delicious curry. I guess it's going to be more popular due to economic depression. My family eat the curry more often these days.
shit curry is curry curyy shit is shit Well.. When I will have been eating only curry for a month, will my poop is curry or shit? I don't know where curry change into shit.
>>435 must be kidding? hahaha I don't have excellent English writing skills like you think. I know my inadequate English skills by my self well. When I write in and read here, I always desperately look up a word in my electronic dictionary.笑
>>436 Are you having trouble remembering English words? There is software called Anki that will help you. The next time you want to remember an English word with its meaning, put it into Anki and you won't forget it after some time.
I'm curious about what you all think about the section in this article on Japan and incest, it is way too long to copy and paste the entire thing here, but here is probably the most striking passage:
The most commonly reported incest occurs when the mother sees her son masturbate as a teenager and tells him, "It's not good to do it alone. Your IQ becomes lower. I will help you," or "You cannot study if you cannot have sex. You may use my body," or "I don't want you to get into trouble with a girl. Have sex with me instead."(166) The researchers found that Japanese mothers and sons often sleep in the same bed and have sex together, although the exact incidence in the population was not investigated. According to the phone interviews, Japanese mothers teach their sons how to masturbate, helping them to achieve first ejaculation in much the same manner as they earlier helped them with toilet training.(167) Most of the sons had no sexual experience with another woman, and became jealous of the mothers' having sex with their fathers, feeling they should have the right to monopolize the mothers - perhaps helping explain why one informant told a family planning expert: "We have no Oedipal problems in Japan - there's no competition from the father.(168) Mother recent Japanese book, based on one hundred incest reports, confirms these observations, including the unusually high rate of mother - son incest, although it, too, provides no way to determine true national incidence rates.(169)
>>446 There was a movie called "Ma no koku," related to that topic. It was about a mother and son incest. A very famous actress, Iwashita Shima, who is now over 60, was in it. When it was shown, the theme was so shocking that a lot of people start talking about the issue, but of course it was not a mainstream tendency in Japan...
I don't have time and energy to read through the whole page. Just reading the exerpt tells me the article is too rediculous to read further.
I don't know if you know this but one Australian reporter (If I'm not wrong about his nationality) had been reported similar rediculous stories about Japan's sex trend regularly on one Japan's newspaper website (English version) for 5 or more years.
The stories he reported wasn't based on facts, which is of course. The newspaper company he works for is one of the three Japan's major news companies so some foreigners living abroad may have swallowed such wrong information. Some people including 2channelers protested against such false and rediculous reports by him. Some protested in front of the headquarters of the newspaper company.
The newspaper company removed the section of the website he was in charge of. He got a penalty from the newspaper company but the penalty was so light that people who protested were furious. He was just ordered to stay home for just three months or so. He wasn't fired. To think that he had been reported the totally wrong and misleading information for years, heavier penalty had to be imposed.
The newspaper company claimed they hadn't known what he had been writing. The problem is the newspaper isn't a tabloid type newspaper so a lot of people might have believed what he wrote.
These are videos of the demonstration. The reason I guess why they have Japan's flag is some protesters are from the group called " group who don't tolerate Korean Japanese' privileges." I don't know much about the group. The newspaper articles by the Australian reporter degraded Japan's reputation, so the flags might have meant to show Japan's pride. Not sure. The name of the newspaper is Mainich Daily News. The reporter is Ryann Connell.
>>448 > but of course it was not a mainstream tendency in Japan...
This part is really misleading. It sounds as if a small portion of Japanese people did such a thing.
>>452 I apologize if what I said here is misleading. My English is very limited so this kind of complex matters are very challenging to talk about. Anyways there are confused people everywhere, even here in Japan. I remember a psychiatrist talking about some very troubled teanagers who were stressed out from their parents' (in most cases, mothers') expectations. He was also suggesting there are some inappropriate behaviors (confessed by the sons) between mothers and sons. Amongst psychiatrists those issues are dubbed "Otukisan" cases, or something. Of course those teanagers are super paranoid so that they might see, hear, and experience what they don't.
>>454 I know how you feel as an English learner. It's hard for me to explain complex things in English, too. I just thought that "not a mainstream tendency" sounds like a small portion does such a thing.
Never heard of Otukisan cases, by the way. I have no idea what "Otukisan" means.
>>446 That's what Mainichi fabricated in their tabloid section (only in English version). When/after their deed was revealed, many people said why Mainichi spread lies like that. Anyway, you proved our concern was to the point - non-japanese people who love tabloids can easily get tricked into believing it. If you want to know more about this, check in 2ch and find many people criticised Mainichi for it. You need to read Japanese, though.
hi guys, it hot today in tokyo isnt it? iv just turned on my air conditioner. so its much better now. already having had lunch (SUKIYA NO GYUDON), im getting sleepy...
I might be wrong about the name, though. I just heard or read somewhere only one time but I thought at that time something like that could happen. That reminds me of similar things happened in the States. Some parents sued a bunch of psychiatrists for implanting false memories in their (grown-up) children. Their children were suffering from some mental problems and went to see those psychiatrists, and with the help of hyponosis or something they "remembered" they were talked into doing some inappropriate behaviors. The parents are saying that sort of things never happened...
>>458 Imagine being accused of something like that. Something like hypnosis shouldn't be used for any scientific purposes. It's dangerous letting someone have control over you, even if that person is a doctor.
>>467 So what? Japanese are most people to watch an adult video all of the cuntry. This mean is japan has stupid culture. We have to delete this shit culture.
Who on earth told a lie? It's China!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no doubt whatever about Japan's innocence. We japanese, you know, must say the innocence over and over again.
>>444 Do you have to read the book for an assignment or something?
You're welcome and thank you for the song. It is a song with beautiful melody and sounds like a song for people who takes a shower three times a day.
There's good news and bad news. Since >>157, I took a bath as often as twice. The good news is that the latest is today so at least you don't need a nose clip today. The bad news is that it's hard to break my record of not taking a bath amid this heat. I feel like I'm a loser failing to break my record but I'll keep my head up and keep going. (I should have written "take a shower" not "take a bath" because I don't bathe in the bathtub in summer.)
I guess the reason why you love the song of Tiger and dragon is you associate it with the drama whenever you listen to it. This new song has nothing to do with the drama so I don't know if you like it or not. If you ask me, I think he sings off key a little bit, though (besides in his other songs). People in the band's thread like this song as long as I read their posts.
The song is about a man who broke up with a nice woman although they didn't seem like going out officially. Ambiguous relationship.
But there is one thing that I really can't understand. Tell me.How come you love dick that you already have. I love soft boobs. If I have boobs and my body is soft, I don't need them.
>>476 hi fish-san, i have a meeting and i need to prepare myself on a specific topic. It will determine whether i will be put on a project that i really would like to pursue. It is a tough book, 600 pages. I am half way through it. Sometimes it is really difficult to concentrate. I go out and try to read in air conditioned environments. That way I end up drinking coffee and that upsets my sleep cycle.
Lots of terminology I am unfamiliar with but I guess this is what is called "learning".
Congratulations on your shower. I give you a sincere hug. Regarding your previous record, don't worry. Everything is worth doing once, then it loses its appeal unless you are really into it. So maybe it is time to try the "three times showered fresh man" mode. When you get bored you can always switch to sakana-san mode.
Unfortunately youtube does not allow me to view the video.
"This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions." very strange.
I googled the video to getits name then looked for alternative sites but they refuse to show me the video. I have no idea why thatis so. I am very sorry that i could not listen to it.
>>485 600 pages! Sounds really tough. I heard some kids in English speaking countires read a very thick copy of Harry Potter overnight on the day they were put on the shelves, but I imagine it's different if a book has lots of terminology in it. Hang in there and good luck!
The video is from a channel of a Japan's record label so I think that's why you can't watch it. The same thing happened when I wanted to watch a music video which was from an American record label's channel on youtube.
This is the same PV from someone's channel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOs1fz601U0&hl=ja I think you can watch it this time. This song is about short-lived relationship with a woman that lasted only during summer.
The lyrics is written from a standpoint of an old man who knows he is a ladies' man and iches to have fun with/flirt with a woman. He met a woman who is a lot younger than him. He was attracted to her although he knows he has to behave considering his age. He's into her so much that he can't control his feeling to her and is excited and perplexed at the same time like a boy in his early teen who doesn't have many expreiences of going out with a girl, although he's a playboy. Actually he can't eat enough because of symptoms like love sickness.
It's not that they were officially going out but spent the whole summer together like a man and woman in relationship. They kissed and all that like a couple in relationship. He was dumped by her at the end of summer. He knew the relationship wouldn't last long. He reminisces about the good time they spent. He drives alone to the beach where they had a good time after the breakup.
Not sure this is based on Ken's personal experience. Enjoy!
>>468 Bob,were you so beside yourself that you could scarcely tell fact from fiction? You cut in on our conversation, saying,"America won the war." But everybody ignored you.
I intoroduced you to my folks, and they took to you at once. Since you are lazy at heart, you frequnetly neglects your duteies. While you were at work,Jennifer was at home absorbed in silly soap operas. You likes cartoons, but i don't thinki much of them. As a matter of fact, they're boring. While Jennifer was standing still, you were pacing back and forth along the sidewalk.
You stick to his moral principles and believes that honesty pays off in the long run.
>>490 Thank you. I will do my best as you say in Japan (I love that expression)
Unfortunately it is impossible to watch that video as well. The same message appears.
So what i did is i googled the video link again. this time i noticed the is Crazy Ken band official site. I clicked and was able to listen to only a part of the song, i think itis the first song? Beacuse he sings about a "girlfriend".
this allows me to watch it. it was youtube being plain nasty!
Thanks for the song! The song gets better as it progresses and becomes verycatchy. Ithink it will be my "tune of today" as I will hum it to myself. Very catchy and optimistic sounding despite he is separated from the girl. Wow she is so pretty.
I now realis ethat the sadness is delivered visiually this time. He refuses to get out of the car! she waits and waits... This is incredibly sad! I expect him to go to her side but he doesn't. Something holds him back. At one point i think he thinks his car is the real girlfriend!
that was fun. internet is amazing isnt it. people on the other side of the world can communicate and talk about music like this. it is so amazing.
@Put vegetables , anything you like, in a microwave-safe ontainer. AMicrowave it reasonably and take it out. BAdd water, Microwave it and take it out again. CChop curry roux and add the flake of rous to the ontainer. DMicrowave it last and my curry is complete.
>>445 Yes, yes. My now worst problem for studying English is remembering words. Right away I searched, downloaded and used Anki software. This is pretty useful.Thank you so much!!!!!!!
In my very young age, I was a boy who takes a masturbation three times a day. It had to be a break but it often ended up main thing.
Now I feel I am too old to lead a sex life unlike crazyken does(I'm almost the same age as him). But everything has a bright aspect. I can concentrate on my English studying after work. My present sex life is just imagination. It doesn't exhaust me. Besides, It's compatible with studying English.
Speaking of imagination, probably because of Sunday night's chat here, I'm having persistent diarrhea, started Monday. I had to take this afternoon off from work. Now I really regret having said that I eat shit.
>>496 Oh, the second link doesn't work either? I wonder why. It's good you managed to watch the PV, anyway. You have a good google search skill. The video seems quite relevant to the lyrics different from the Kamenashi's PV you mentioned before.
And yeah, Internet is amazing but I'm beginning to take it for granted. The first time I chatted with someone from half way around the globe, I was moved. It was like, "Wow. Beyond time difference and distance, we are sharing the same moments both tapping keys in front of PC!" Now the excitement is fading away.
>>517 I don't know about that. It's not the matter of what you chat about. What I was amazed back then was the technology of Internet that connects people around the world. Now I take it for granted.
>>528 I'm unusually very fine this morning. Thank you. And you? Uh, Sadly, my life isn't called like running smoothly at present. But I can still lead a life barely.
Can you save a white woman when you see her walking with a negro hand in hand? Do you have courage to fight for your own people? Are you just another lazy guy who is poisoned by computer games?
>>530 I want to save a woman, if there is a right reason to save from someone. My a few righteous courage might have been killed by among leading a life. I don't like doing computer games.
>>536 I am Japanese. So I am not white. And you? White?
Why you keep to dwell on color? When I found such a message (worn-out segregative words) 2CH here, I seem that a person who took the trouble to write this is just to wanna be blamed and be care because lonely.
Black, white, Japanese, Korean... who cares? You can't base someone on their ethnicity. You do that and you'll either look up or down on them. You'll never see them as your equal. And that's really stupid, since all humans are exactly the same. We're all just idiots, living in worlds of shit.
>>539 Well, I think so too about this, "And that's really stupid, since all humans are exactly the same." If someone just trust "All humans are exactly the same." It lack the reality touch.
In fact, the world is coated by discrimination of race and nationality and...more more all over everyone know. But there are a lot cases like that different race people should work together at city. So if you have discriminatory segregatery principles, you should hide away it well as you can in real society. Secret in your mind. Please don't increase unnecessary stress any more for working and living.
2can is a world of shit. It's a common sense among Japanese. So we are supposed to be shit brothers. White, Black, Yellow, neither make sense. We are totally equal in this world, no matter who we are or where we are from.
You mean, common sense among Japanese who do not know the site well. Many of the specialized sections on 2ch has helped me in many ways during my time, even this thread has had its share of nice chats.
I agree with you on the opinion that we are all basically equal, but you can't clump that together with 2ch being shit....
>>557 >this thread has had its share of nice chats. I agree with you on that. But it's exception. I'm new on this thread. At my first visit here, I was astonished that there were many nice chats.
People on 2chan usually throw shit each other. And I like to write silly things on 2chan includes here.
I think curry shit is curry-looking shit. shit curry is shit-looking curry. So the former is totally shit. But the latter is delicious curry when you close your eyes.
Please realize that most people who talk about [shit] in this thread are trolls.
Also, please keep in mind that not all people here, Japanese or otherwise, are racist. To people who'll inevitibly say 氏ねチョン, I merely wish to say that uninformed hatred is the same as racism. In short, "At least know them and the English language enough to post a decent inflammatory arguement"
>>571 Where are you said "氏ねチョン"? If at 2ch, you should not take up all.
If at real life, you should know that such racists are not ALL of people. Maybe, no racist world don't exit anywhere on the earth. So you should train the eye for good judge about racist or not.
>>572 You can't speak decent English. You insist that you talked with American friend, but it's just your imagination because you can't even post here in English. Don't act like Mr. wise man.
>>577 so, if i dont talk in english here, u conclude im not able to speak english? what a frivolus idea! Quel age avez-vous? je veux savoir oops! this is french! i always mix'em up! its just becuz im retarded i guess... actually she is not my friend but my girlfriend i didnt wanna tell the truth just because i know u say thats my fancy. my fancy my fancy... but the saddest thing is ... no room for that! sorry if i sound offensive but i dont mean to!
>>516 Hi Fish-san. you might be right about me relating the Tiger and Dragon song to the drama. so far I have not found another song that hits then nail on the head like that one does. I need suspense and ambiguity in the clip or a strong sense of some other emotion.
Actually there is another one but a really short one. I hope, I do not offend anyone by askingthis. I feel sometimes Japanese anime/drama/music loves to make fun of certain things that are distinctly Western. I totally love that attitude.
Here it is, "rising Sun" by Tokyo no 1 Soulset, my absolutely favorite band.
My question is: When singing it, can you hear "Gaijin son", or is it me imagining again. I hope my question is not offensive.
I still think it is awesome to be chatting to Japanese people from this side of the world. One day when we run out of energy and silicon this may no longer be possible. We should appreciate it while it lasts.
I have a lot to say about my Japanese lessons but need to go now. I have an important meeting tomorrow. I have many discussion topics to share with you, all whizzing in my head. for later...
>>607 Study? Don't be stupid. You should go to swimming pool to see beautiful girls in swim suite. I have no one to go to swimming with so I think I'll take a nap.
We Japanese call 2chan "a world of shit". But don't take it too literally. I use the terms, respecting people outside of 2chan.
The Japanese say, つまらない物(自分自身の場合は者)ですが……. We often use the expression when we give a present to someone. つまらない物 means valueless thing. The literal meaning is, Please forgive my rudeness for giving you(worthy person) such a worthless gift.
Being humble(showing respect toward other people) is Jananese trait.
It was hard to explain the shit because of my poor English ability. Today's me is serious.
>>615 Thank you for teaching us something new. I am taking note of whatyou said in my noto. My reading is not so good so Iwill write it as is and hopefully be able to read it when I learn the chinese characters ~(right now Ican only read Hiragana and Katakana)
Please tell us more about such phrases. For instance replying like "o kage sama de" to "o-genki desu ka?"
>>617 I think お陰様で(o kage sama de) means literally "for the grace of God" I like the phrase very much.
I think the phrase takes on a deeper meaning, like, I owe my present good health and happiness to the support of you(God and people around me). This is another example of respecting other people.
>>617 Thank you for the explanation. I shall take a note of that too.Now it makes a lot of sense. I think every nation on earth should teach others how they respect humans and how they express it in their language. That way maybe we can develop an overall respect for all things in life.
>>593 To my ears they're singing "Rising sun" not "Gaijin-san." You were just joking, weren't you? Maybe sometimes we might make fun of Western things but in most cases, we admire them. That's what I think.
>>593 thanks! I So it was my imagaination. Still, I sing it that way. I listen to music in languages that i do not understand, for instance , French, and imagine they are saying something completely different. It is highly entertaining.
>>635 Shut up, you asshole. This is a thread where you chat only in English. Make sure your stupid opinion is written in English before you post again, moron.
In my opinion tokyo doesn't have any beach. Am I right?
I assumed tokyo people go to enosima beach. But I don't know the case of residents in the eastern side of tokyo like adachi, katushika, ecogawa. They might go to chiba or ibaraki beach.
Are there any beach in tokyo bay? The west coast of chiba is too far from tokyo.
There seems to be a beach in tokyobay around narashino in chiba. I don't know the size and popularity of this beach.
I will let foreigners here know the brand image of municipalties in the kanto region. Tokyo> Kanagawa > saitama or chiba > ibaraki or tochigi I'm not sure gunma is kanto in the first place. IT seems to be, but too far from tokyo.
Beaches in Oki? They are really something. Can't simply compare them to those in the Kanto areas. Man, Oki is a great place for anyone who loves anything related to seas.
OH, I may win? But..I'm a genius. The world won't permit it. When I am a NEET,the world will be over. I must defeat the world of shit. I have to defend the human rece against Shit Nemesis.
>>679 Oh yes yes, I know. I watched japanese version on TV program "Friday road show". The lyrics translated Japanese to English, I couldn't notice that it's same lyrics because I remember this lyric as in Japanese. :P
>>698 I think the reason why some people post with "sage" is their posts isnt worth getting much attentions, meaning their post is worthless. They know their posts are less than nothing.
Of course there are other reasons to use "sage" as you know, though.
>>697 くそ ( is translated shit to Japanese literally ) sounds like really coarse. A nuance of くそ is as if an illiterate old guy say at pub. So almost Japanese people don't choice くそ, but they use キモイ, ありえない and シネ etc instead. about same frequency , I think.
>>709 Yes. Then if I have someone who need me ( for example if I have my infant children ), I will eat anything for surviving. But if no one need me fortunately, I don't wanna eat shit, cockroach and anything. Then maybe die alright.
When I get bumped from behind, I(Japanese man) say, おかまをほられた(getting butt-fucked by a faggot). I wonder if there is a similar expression in English with this humorous tone.
By the way, fortunately, I never got bumped by a car while driving. That means my anus is still virgin.
I don't want to make an enemy of gay people.(Just joking, Sorry)
In addition, speaking of anus, In Japan, If you have a huge ass hole, that means you are an important figure(big-gun). I mean ★ is better than *. Do you understand?
>>746 I didn't notice first but yeah, it's sure from the Beatles song! The first time I saw her on TV, I thought she was American and had thought she was until I posted 745.
The reason is she's extremely cheerful to the extent I feel kind of annoying. Maybe it's just me but the way she talks and acts, at least to me, resembled American.
Speaking of Dragon Ball, is there a fan of Dragon Quest 9 here? It was really good. I enjoyed it very much. I spent 60 hours on the game. Still I haven't completely finished it. There are many "quests" that I still haven't completed. Even I haven't become a Super Star. Anyway, according to Square Enix, more than 3 million copies of DQ9 was published already. Amazing, isn't it?
In my opinion, I think she is a westener. If she had taken a plastic surgery, wealthy Michael Jackson must have taken a surgery earlier than her and became white ealier than her.
I think so. We must not make the chain of malice. Chinese,Korean might think they have privilege to wreak revenge on Japanese. But if they attack Japan and Japan survive, we will wreak revenge on them and vanish them from the earth in order not to make the chain. Therefore we mustn't begin war.
What you think or don't think doesn't really matter, since stupidity is an existential fact that could expand practically infinitely to everyone else without being realized or checked. Hence, I refuse to interact with you the way you want to.
When we eat "Bagoooon" at midnight, a bagoooon monster appears. I've never seen it, but it must be very scary, so I don't always eat instant Yakisoba at midnight. Now I 'm eating it. It's safe.
>>821 Hah, there are no Bagoon monsters in Europe, it's midnight now and I can eat instant noodles as much as I want! I have to eat them with garlic sauce though, or the vampires will get me...
Bagoon's sales point is / was a bag of? powder soup in the container. We take a bag out from the container and put a soup powder in a cup of our own and pour hot water in a cup.
Everybody, if you're a student, regardless of where you're from, you're on summer vacation, right?
What are you doing everyday? Just wasting time trolling somewhere in the cyber space? Just watching lots of Youtube videos until you get bored with it? Are you doing a part time job or something?
Did you meet a nice man/woman in summer? It's the best season for a boy meets a girl thingy at the beach or in town.
Sorry(>>823), I examined web but I couldn't find a video and an image of bagoooon monster. It may be top secret with Japan... The monster was in a TV commercial in the last century. In my childhood I was given a brain wash. I won't eat it at midnight sharp.
>>848 OK. But while you're in Japan, you can't go sightseeing. You'll have to stay in this hot and humid room and fan me with an uchiwa like this while I'm surfing the net all day.
Korean guys are amazingly popular among girls all over the world, now that Korean Wave has gained great popularity among such enthusiastic fangirls. After those girls found out Korean guys are cool, manly, attractive and nice, they started to get interested in Korean culture as well. As people all around the world say, Korea is one of the strong IT country. You can tell why Samsung and LG became the world strongest and most popular suppliers of IT products in the world. And girls all over the world noticed Korean guys are smart and well-educated as well as hot and good-looking. They use Samsung/LG products to enjoy Korean Wave. So in a word, girls all around the world enjoy themselves with Korean stuff. I'm proud of it! :)
MJ news update. As time goes by, we tend to forget what happened in the rest of the world, so here we go again. According to a bunch of news sources, MJ's Doc fell asleep or left MJ unattended while administering the powerful drug Propofol to MJ through i.v. injection before he died. And the doc found MJ already flatlined when he noticed something amiss with the King of Pop. The paramedics who came in later also found him so and wanted to pronounce Jackson dead, but the doc had the singer transported to a hospital. Just because the doctor was a higher medical authority over the paramedics. Meanwhile, the LAPD is on the hunt for more.. Stay tuned.
Korean cannot tolerate to work in hard environment. Even a poor Korean want to behave arrogantly to rich foreigners. They want always top position. So they have almost catch Nobel Prize, with forged achievements. They cheated and bribed Times, scientific journals. Then they forget their shameful cheating. They always claim they have invented for the firs time in this world.
>>857 that video is so annoying, DBSK maybe cute guys but the outfits and fake smiles and gestures are creepy in that video. I would love to get into Kpop and Kdrama but I simply cannot.
In Kdramas actors put me off with their over animated gestures, the lack of subtlety, lame dialogues no matter how innocent they might be.. and the movie posters where actors either grin like madmen or look ferocious. Whereas in Jdrama there is minimalism, space to breathe and think and some sort of moderation to emotions. makes it more watchable. Not every actor grins o na Jdrama poster. You know what I mean...
There's no attraction in Korea from the beginning. I appreciate that I am a Japanese. I don't want to be a liar , but Korean all are liar ,except good Korean who think Japanese history is right. If I were Koean,I would be a liar.
>>858 Thanks for the update. Maybe the doctor didn't want everybody to know that Michael was dead at home because of him. He wanted everybody believe Michael died while he was carried to the hospital.
i have became conscious just now that it has been quite a while since i have graced 2ch with my presence, so to solve this rather unfortunate conundrum i have decided to come here and post since i am in a blissful mood. greetings and salutations 2ch!
Fish san... are you there... I have been very busy. Our Japanese classes are over and I am having withdrawal symptoms. When I am on the bike going somewhere I count in Japanese so that I won't forget the numbers. When I look at the prices at the supa, I read it in Japanese and say takai desu ne...to myself. I want to organise a Japanese reading and writing exercise group with some of the people I have met but I am too busy now.
Today has been exceptionally humid (although it is barely 23 degC) and I remembered fish-san because I could not take a shower in the morning. I hope you are well and surviving the hot summer over there, when is the rain season? Is Kamenashi Kazuya married to Kyon Kyon yet?
>>dont worry .everyone's life sucks but they don't admit it. you shoul dbe grateful that you are alive. you should write love ] letters. you should smell the flowers and eat nice food. You should cheer yourself up with something different in your life, whatever makes you happy. Don't let life pass you by!
anyway... >>879 >and say takai desu ne...to myself. Yeah, I love it when small expressions like that start popping up. Even if it's just that I think "どういうイミ!?" while looking at a Japanese sentence, it's always cool to see how your brain is getting more and more japanized.
The HN looks like a povertish because 自慰 means jacking off as you might know, and what you posts wont't be read seriously if you keep the HN. If that's OK use it.
Actually someone who comes here sometimes has 金玉, meaning men's balls in his handle name. Nobody repsects him though.
Does anyone know anything about Monster Hunter Festa 2009? I am a big Monster Hunter fan and I will be visiting Japan for the next few weeks. http://www.capcom.co.jp/monsterhunter/festa09/index.html I, however, cannot read Japanese very well. What exactly is going on?
>>879 Are you interested in women in their 40's? Anyway, I don't think they will get married. The Johney's agency wouldn't allow their celebs to until they've reached 30 ~ 35 years of age, even if Kyon Kyon wanted to.
The fact wowed me that 200 threads were consumed for about 3 days.. When was it that the first chat in english thread was created? 3 years ago? It showes very clearly that the English board isn't popular. haha.
>>898 No, I am interested in people who are put in the crossroads of their life and are forced to make very tough decisions. I am sure, if Kamenashi is a strong minded man, he will marry Kyon regardless of Johhny's rules. If he lets go of Kyon, he will betray his emotional needs. If he lets go of his job, he will find his life in chaos. If Kyon lets him make the decision, she fears he might blame him for diverting his career in the future. All these, besides having to deal with the "unacceptable" reactions from the society, beacuse of the age gap, put too much pressure on the couple. This whole stressful situation would normally break a relationship. But he doesn't seem to sway and that is truly remarkable! What will he do?
Type in an English phrase. The site will use machine translation to "translate" the phrase into Japanese, then back into English, then into Japanese again, and so on until an equilibrium is reached. For example:
Time flies when you're having fun. して楽しい時間を持つときにジャンプします。 If you have a good time to jump to. した場合にジャンプするための楽しい時間を過ごす。 Have a good time to jump when. ジャンプするときは、楽しい時間を過ごす。 When you jump, have fun. ジャンプするときは、楽しいしている。 When you jump, have fun.
The phrase has reached equilibrium, and along the way, transformed into nonsense.
>>879 It's good to say something you learned in your head or actually you say in a situation like that. If you live in London, I guess there are a lot of Japanese living there. You could find and count in a Japanese person or two in the self study group. It could be a language exchange.
It's HOT, HOT and HOT X HUMID=extremely uncomfortable so even I have to take a shower as often as once every other day. I think I'd better take a shower every day but if I did so, I would lose my indentity. Rainy season is over at the end of July in an average year but it lingered this year and jsut a few days ago, the reainy season was over throughout Japan. Rainy season starts in early June and ends at the end of July in most reagions in Japan.
I don't think Kyon-kyon and Kamenashi will get married. Kyonkyon would be dumped even if they got married. Kyonkyon might be still attractive for her age but as time goes by, five years, ten years from now, Kamenashi will have to face the reality of her aging.
Rumor in 2ch has it that she is escaping from the police because she has also used the drug on daily basis. Japan's major media reports that she is so shocked from her husband's use of the drug and arrest that she is panicked and she might kill herself somewhere, but 2channelers speculation is different. She'll keep hiding somewhere until the presence of stimulant drugs in her body will completely disappear from her body.
>>896 Events relating to the video game will be held at some locations in Japan. Starting from Tokyo, Augutst 23th, and then Osaka, 30th and other places ending in October 25th. It reads October 25th is the Final so the other events on other days are preliminaries to advance to the Final event.
Other than game playing competition, there seem to be other things. They sell goods at each venues, play videos and there are illustraion exibition, food stands.
If you come to the event, a fan are given to you. If you wear the T-shirt and participate in the event, you are given 500 yen coupon that you can use at each venue. The T-shirt is sold online maybe? http://www.capcom.co.jp/monsterhunter/festa09/come.html
No admission fee. If you join the game competion, you need to sign up in advance. You'll play in pair. So if you'll travel alone, you can't join the competition.
Noriko Sakai is the most talked about person in Japan and 2ch now regarding why she escaped in the first place, where she is now, what's behind this incident.
For people overseas who needs news sourses about this incident, I'll put a link.
In this video, she's interviewed. The interview was done last month. The way she talks is different from the way she usually talks. She looks and sounds hyped-up because of drugs.
>>925 Let me say this. She's only suspected of having drugs, and we don't know the police are right in guessing she actually had them. The police are not always correct, right?
Well, I know that doesn't sound convincing. Yeah, she must have been on drug when she decided to go coz she knew she would be done for if she got arrested.. How sad. Anyway, the pressing matter is whether she's alive or not. I hope she didn't make a wrong choice. She can start over as long as she wants to. So lets hope she's found safe and well.
>>927 Can't watch it on my FireFox brouser, but I didn't know she was like hyper when she was on TV. And speaking of hyper, I suspect Miyavi is on drug. The police should search him. lol
It's really annoying. Hiroyuki should do something to make those servers of the news-line boards of 2ch fine and strong so we won't be cut off from information.
>>928 She won't kill herself. I think she's now with her mom, who is missing, too. Yamanashi is her mother's hometown, although she's her second mom, meaning her biological mother dead when she was 4 years old.
Nori-P and her mom is hiding together somewhere. Maybe her mom is talking her into go to the police. It's difficult to come back to show business if you're female. Many male singers and male actors came back after spending their time in Jail but not many female come back. She was an idol and even now she sells her pure and innocent kind of images so she won't be able to come back with such tainted reputation with drug use.
Her Dad used to be a yakuza by the way. Yakuza and show business has deep connections.
Nori-P's arrest can lead to other singers/actors' arrest so she might be killed by someone underground before she speaks something undesirable for them. Of course on surface she looks like she kills herself but in reality, someone killed her.
She withdrew houndreds of thousands of yen from Automatic teller machine today. She's alive and she has no intentions of killing herself nor go to the police. She's is trying to run away as long as possible.
I'm going to do "自宅留学" for two weeks from today. "自宅留学"is studying English at home. I have only a litte money. I am uncertain of my ability to stufy abroad. I decided to do it as a last resort.
I set 5 rules for it. ・I must always think and write something in English. ・I must get daily news from sites written in English, such as http://www.fnn-news.com/en/index.html. ・I must veiw English videos at Youtube and must not Japanese ones. ・I must make an imaginary roommate and communicate with him. ・I mustn't think it is sad, useless and shameful to do so.
Nori-P's brother was arrested in Fukuoka in June on charge of using the same drug as Nori-P. The article says he's a yakuza age 30.
No matter how they look pure, sometimes female singers and actors were notorious for their delinqueency in where they grew up. Kyoko Koizumi aka KyonKyon isn't an exception. She's from Atsugi, Kanagawa and she was a notorious delinquent in her hometown.
Show business is cesspool. You can't tell that if you lool back on its history.
>>920 aw I want to see them together, i want to see them married. And before it is too late, she should make miniature turtles with the chief turtle...
fish-san, you don't want to be in an identitiy crisis situation. what you could do is trap the body odour somehow and store it. when you take frequent showers and cannot remember yourself anymore, open up a bottle of your odour and sniff it to remind yourself. Do you think this is a viable solution ?
Thanks for explaining about NoriP,I wasn't aware ofher, so she is another idol of Japan. I watched the video, without knowing what she was saying and thought, she behaves like a boy! so the song is about a girl whow ants to be a boy? i realise these female idols Kyon and NoriP also have adrogynous looks, so it's not only the Johnny's who look that way.
Ok my view as a clueless take on this situation is, the media is creating a frenzy deliberately. She might simply want to be alone, there must be intense pressure on her. These situations arise in all EU countries, so since crime is under control in Japan, this situation may look extraordinarily scandalous to regular law abiding citizens. But then again, it is my naive uninformed view, I hope I am not offending anyone.
>>937 That is a very good list 937-san. I wish I could chat now, but I had a crazy week, I am exhausted and will rest now but if i catch you next time let's chat(mind you I am not a native speaker of ENglish)
chatting here is definitely a good idea, it will hopefully help with your goals of learning! also if you can get hold of BBC drama series or films, watch them, they would help a lot. Streaming BBC radio programmes: turn them on while you are in your room doing everyday things, let it run in the background, that would help too.
And, try singing in English! I try to sing in Japanese. I am gonna do a mean karaoke show one day!
>>920 fish-san unfortunately i am not in London, there are a few Japanese people living here, however they are busy academics and researchers. However I shall approach them and try to form a group even if they are busy.
Nori-P's granpa, father and brother are yakuza. She's from Yakuza family in a nutshell, which wasn't reported by media because it's a taboo. We Japanese is astonished with the gap Nori-P we see on TV and REAL Nori-P. We feel like betrayed by her. She just played a role of a pure girl but in reality, she has done lots of illigal drugs off TV screen. That's what she really is.
If she's arrested, it's said that'll lead to arrests of other actors and singers, because she sells to them. Her husband in custody also is telling who are involved in illegal drug use and it's said that some famouse people are mentioned. One of them is Hirosue Ryoko. She's witnessed in some clubs and pubs getting extraordinarily wild and hypered by drug use.
Lots of entertainment agency has someting to do with yakuza more or less. Some of them are front groups of Yakuza. Showbusiness itself was started by outcasts of Japanese society and are deep rooted with Yakuza.
I have read recently that Japan's future is "is going to be scary" and that "after two decades of economic doldrums the Japanese economy is ready to hit the wall."
Is there any ominous news like this circulating in Japan itself?

>>959 is a famous 2ch copypasta describing a stereotypical American family at a barbeque. Too far from imagination, too far from reality, but pretty damned funny.
>>943 It's very kind of you to say so. Thank you for your advices!
I got helpful ways from you. I like some BBC dramas. They're comedy. One of them is Mr.Bean ,but no voice. Another of them is reddwarf. It has voice! I am hearing internet radio from now. Thanks!
>>946 No good news about Japanese economy. Social desparity among Japanese people is widening like American society. People used to think they are all belong to middle class but now Japan's society is getting devided wider between haves and have nots like that of America.
I'm conquered by anger Today,I study english more than usual days when do I attain to understand English as well as japanese use I want to lest for a minite
I've just posted a question to English speakers in the thread above. It's a listening question. If you're interested, please check it out and answer it. Thank you.
>>941 I think it's difficult for them to get married soon. Because if he gets married, he'll lose popularity to some extent, and that's not what Johnny's agency wants. In fact other older members in other groups of Johhny's agency stay single even if they are in their thirties. One of the exceptions is Kimutaku in SMAP. He is one of the most popular guy in Johnny's agency. But in his case, it was a shotgun marriage. So only possible solution for Kamenashi and Kyonkyon is she'll get pregnant before Johnny agrees their marriage. Fortunately, Kimutaku doesn't seem to have lost his fanbase because of his marriage but marriage isn't what Johnny wants from his boys in any case.
I'd send you the bottles of BO if I made them. That would work when you have to stay up late to read a book or something. Open the bottle and smell. I'm sure that would kick drowsiness out of you. Too much dose of my BO would cause you faint so you have to be careful of too much inhale. I'm thinking about oepning an online shop of the bottles.
>>939 regarding the criminal side of celebrities, maybe one should try to understand that they are human beings and may deviate from what is seen as acceptable. I am trying to understand what is acceptable in society and what is not, in Japan, because i am not familiar with the emotions and culture there. From the coments I read, people say they have been deceived by NoriP's clean image, well, the society likes to paint an impossible picture of a flowless human being, then when the realities surface, they want to tear up that picture and let all their anger on that person. It is very interesting and frightening at the same time. Since humans cannot be 100% pure, the only way is to make sure that you wear a mask and lie about who you really are. Is that the case?
>>fish-san, they better get their act on and get Kyon pregnant then. It is so sad that agencies can rule their artist's most basic rights. this is why i am so curious as to what the turtle will do; will he give up his career for her? the pressure must be enormous.
:-D fish-san body odour inhalers: as a cure to all concentration problems eh?? you have to market it carefully. Maybe you could pose open-shirted with sweat dripping in the scorching Tokyo heat. The ad shows the drops filling a tiny black perfume bottle. And women going wild after taking a sniff from the bottle. Suddenly their concentration is back, and they are doing their housework, serving the passengers on the plane, operating on patients or studying hard in the library. To avoid excessive consumption, a woman should be shown to inhale it deeply and faint. That would be a good ad for the fish-san body odour inhalant range. I support this idea!
>>984 Thank you for trying answer me. I don't know why the link doesn't work. Luckily two people answered my question and the problem was solved. I don't think whether you are a native English speaker or not matteres as long as you are fluent and can answer questions in the thread.
>>962 Hi, you are welcome. I would also recommend: Only Fools and Horses, Monty Python, Dr Who,Blackadder, French and Saunders, Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister, Steptoe and Son, The Vicar of Dibley, The Young Ones.
about Kyon Kyon being a criminal, i watched Suica, a drama she played in, it was very good. I like the adventurous, criminal Babaa character. She is so much fun! full of human spirit. I think she must b elike thatin real life too.
>>985 I'm not saying my BO enhanse your concentration. It's just that it smells so bad it kicks out drowsiness when you smell it.
I wonder if they're very serious about getting married. Isn't it just that they are happy with just going out? They want more? I think they know that if they got married, the marriage wouldn't last so long.
>>998 Well, anything that kicks out drowsiness is better than coffee. It's healthy and perhaps it stimulates the hormones too. You could give it such a twist and sell it as a "women's hormone stimulating product".
You could make lots of money ...
how do you know the marriage won't last? I know it is an unusual marriage but there must be something psychological that he must be something special in this union. Humans cannot think and fel alike, I can understand why Kyon would like younger men, and why Kamenashi would like older women. There is a group of people who just click that way and stay married a very long time, despite the woman's aging.
