Hey!!! you NEETs, nerds, YouTube-link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboos from all over the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, and cunning linguists. And Let's pray for the rehabilitation of the Internet-addicted housewife.
Greetings from the USA. I'm a native English speaker who is currently trying to learn Mandarin Chinese. I'm coming along quite nicely. I just wish that there was a chip or something that one could implant into his or her brain that would automatically download a complete language into the brain.
>>11 That's a fantacy which comes up with to someone who were raised in this Internet age. I would have a fantacy like, "I wish I could master *** language if I ate up a whole dictionary, page by page.
I don't mind fucking with any women in Coors. They are gorgeous. Do you dance keltic dance which dates back to occupation era when Irish enjoy dancing but when you look from outside, they didn't look like dancing with theitr upper bodies straighten up.
>>16 I heard Irish people tend to be a police officer or fire figter in NY. I wonder why? Irish are third rated citizens in US long time ago, right? Kenedy an Bill clinton are of Irish descent, if I'm not wrong.
>>28 They are descriminated against by another more prestegious whites like anglo-saxon, german, and scandinavians. Ireland was once poor white state and they are roman catholic which the Us was not built on. They are not germanic race either. They are once called white nigger. They have to find blue collar jobs like fire fighter.
Japanese american apolo ohno rules. LOL He is a perfect figure for koreans to hate. He is japanese descent and american. Koreans keep blaiming him. They never get tired of accusing apolo ohno. They are very tenacious and vengeful. http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=yDd-UBL4Njo see Ahn Jung-Hwan's performance around 3:50. It's a reprisal to apolo ohono, who koreans claim stealed gold medal from a korean athlete at 2001 olympic games.
Sorry. 2002 olympica games. Also Lee Chun-Soo, man behind Ahn Jung-Hwan, is appealing blocking with his hands up. Blocking was recognized and korean skater was disqualified later.
>>46 ぴょん吉 is a famous old school anime character from the 70's. It's a 2D yellow frog that got stuck on the main character's Tshirt when he fell over it. I think they just use it as a joke.
Do you know Omikuji? When you go to a shrine, there's Omikuji. There are lots of folded pieces of paper in a box. (not always in a box though) You put your hand in the box to pick up one folded piece of paper. You unfold the paper and read what's written on it. It's like fortune telling or something. You can see discription about your foreseeing future in detail such as your luck in meeting prospective boyfriend or gf, your chance of good academic achievement or job prospect, your health, your chance of getting rich and what not. Maybe you're more familiar with fortune cookies or something.
The best is 大吉 (daikichi) which can be translated to big luck. The second best is 中吉(chuukichi) which can be translated to middle size luck, followed by 小吉(shoukichi), small luck. As you may notice, 吉 means good luck and rhymes with ぴょん吉, the anime character as >>47 explained. Seems like in some boards in 2ch if you write in your name field something, (maybe "!omikuji" or something), 2ch's system functions like a Omikuji box and it tells how lucky you are on a particular day, displaying 大吉, or 小吉 or whatever in your name field. It kind of gives posters in 2ch's particular board an amusment. You never see ぴょん吉 in any shrine's omikuji box, obviously. It's just the name of an anime character. It's just a 2ch's joke.
The opposite word of 吉 is 凶 (kyou) meaning bad luck and 大凶 (daikyou) is the worst obviously, meaning the worst luck or something. But don't worry. If you pick up a folded 大凶 piece from a box, it's said that if you tie the piece of paper to any tree in the premises of a shrine, the worst luck never affect you. You can see lots of tied peper to trees in shrine.
That's it about Japanese cuture lesson. Here are links to anime ぴょん吉 appears. In the second video, you can see clearly ぴょん吉 trying to jumping forward even though he is on T-shirt. Enjoy.
>>59 ?\(°_0)/? Beats the hell out of me. People just normally say 'he' when referring to that invisible thing in the sky that supposedly controls the universe.
>>60 That resembles the insident long time ago in which city/town officials didn't accept the name 悪魔 or devil when his father tried to register his new born son on the name.
I don't think that name'll promise your future son happy life.
>>61 Don't call it he? That's not politically correct. Call it they or "he or she" no to be called you are politically incorrect person.
Not sure if any of you remember me, but I used to post here a while back. They blocked my ISP and most of the proxies I had readied no longer work, and I didn't have the time or the drive to go and grab working ones.
Anyhow, they've lifted the ban on my ISP now, so I plan to visit here a bit again. Unfortunately, the administrators here catch someone on a foreign ISP causing trouble and they ban the entire service. Not exactly the most ethical way to go about it, but definitely effective, I suppose.
Anyhow, if any of you are still around... that trip to Japan I was thinking about taking? I did -- was in Tokyo for the entirety of June.
Anyhow I'll cut it short for now and help out with questions in some other threads if I can. Wondering if any of the old regulars are still here.
>>69 I remember you. Your best friend is an aligator which sneaked into your house and ate up half of your right leg while you were sleeping, if I'm not wrong.
So how was your trip to Japan? You were worrying about how you'd be treated in Japan.
Anyhow, I had a great time, plain and simple. I was there for a month, and not a single person was anything less than friendly to me. I didn't expect to be treated poorly, but I never anticipated being treated so well!
Either way, I might even go again next year. Had a lot of fun.
I was within walking distance of where the stabbings happened in Akihabara when they were happening, though. That guy was a crazy little bastard, judging from what the news was saying.
>>72 Nah, I'm not supposed to be "either", it's "Ether." Either way, nice to meet you. If things go my way, I'll be here somewhat often.
>>73 Oh.. I made a mistake. Your handle name is “Ether”, not “Either”.
I feel pity with you to have been eaten your right leg. However I feel jealousy in that you could keep an aligator because the fact suggests that your house should be very large and you are rich.
>>75 No worries. >>71 was just telling a joke - I still have both of my legs. I don't have a pet alligator, but I live in Florida, and there are plenty of alligators around.
Anyhow, I'm going to sleep, it's already early morning. Good night, everyone.
>>73 Did you manaege to make yourself understood in Japanese? What did you think about girls in Japan? The smelled gorgeos? I have read a post somewhere (maybe yahoo, Q&A) where a foreginer is wonderig why Japanese girls smells so good.
The incident made headlines and made a big impact. You mustn't have understood what's going on when police cars gather the site. Did you vist any places other than Tokyo?
Hello. I need a favour of you. I was so bored last night that I started answering questions asked by high schoolers on the board...Just then someone saw Prime Minister Fukuda making his resignation speech on TV, and asked how this situation can be translated in Japanese...
My knowledge of English is limited but I tried making a sentence like "Prime Minister Fukuda is now making a resignation speech on TV," which seems to have turned out to be unnatural... How do you explain this situation? Thanks in advance.
Morning, guys. It's 9:34 am in San Fransisco, California. I have to be on duty in a few hours.
>>77 I've never thought that the smell of girls living here were bad. But probably it's because of food. People around here are really fond of meaty stuffs. They don't eat as much fish or rice or vegetable as us(Japanese, I mean). I've heard of this kind of story in JOJO's strange adventure, part 5 or 6, set in Italy.
>>93 It's just that I'm working for a family in CA as Aupair. Aupair is a kind of homestay, working as babysitter, paid 170 dollars weekly, for a year or two. This system also allows us to take ESL class or class in University.
>>97 Of course I can get paid even while going to school. But technically, your host family can put you to work up to 40 hours a week, so you have to be careful of terms of the job. You can have two weeks vacation with pay. I was going to University of California at Berkeley(state university) and St.Mary University(private school) and had a quite good time and experience.
>>98 Huh, 40h of babysitting would be quite tough, but I'm sure not many host families ask for that. Glad you're having a good time there. I wonder if we have a similar VISA program in Japan.
>>69 I remember you. You are the guy who lived in FL and prefered the word "sigh". Are you Charlie Brown? You were afraid of proud and buff neo-nazi, weren't you?
>>104 Yes!! I am definitely a cute good nice girl. I'm not only cute in appearance of course, but also have a nice personality. I'm sixteen and 153cm tall.
This is not important but, Osita Yoko's vagina is smelling just like a staling fish. Don't scent it! ! (# Osita Yoko is a notable female announcer in Japan)
>>108 Excellence? I have excellence in many fields...so, it's difficult to say about clearly, or briefly. Your curiosity for me might be key. You might know about me in the course of time. Or might not. I will be here sometimes.
>>110 I doubt you are just a middle aged guy. There is a lot of posters here 2ch who disguise themselves and pretend to be a girl. Are you really such kind of girl ?
How's the software that makes it possible to watch TV around the word going? In my case, right after I execute the it, it freezes with an error message of Windows, sayin that this software doesn't work.
It lasted at least a few minutes until it freezed before and now it freezes right after I boot the software. Maybe I need to delete and install again to make things better. sigh.
On a different note, "pond" someitmes means Atlantic ocean, right? When British people say, "Are you from over the pond?" it means "Are you from America?" Aren't Canada, Mexico or countries on south American continent included?
That software's becoming more and more unstable. Sometimes I have to reboot just to make it work, else it closes down a moment after opening. Apparently the previous version was much more stable, so hopefully the next build will be more usable. Tried deleting and reinstalling, but that didn't help at all.
And yes, sometimes we (and North Americans too) say "across the pond" to mean countries opposite to us over the Atlantic. We don't really use it that often for South American countries, though it is true.
I need to find my O/S disc now, to install more language packs after the last format. And while it's doing that, maybe bake some lasagne. Need to make another cake sometime too... but there's just no time.
Wrong usage of "doubt." Doubt means to not believe in something, so you said that you don't believe the poster is a middle aged man. The correct usage would be "I doubt you are a sixteen year old girl. I bet you are just a middle aged guy."
>>116 I deleted it now. Maybe I won't install the software anymore until new version will come out. Thank you for sharing your situation.
>>117 You are right. He used "doubt" wrong. You also can replace "doubt" with "suspect," too. "I suspect you are just a middle aged guy. " The root of the mistake is both "suspect" and "doubt" can be translated to the same Japanese word. That's the reason why we often makes a mistake in using doubt and suspect properly.
Hope you managed to install OS and had a nice meal.
>>117 That reminds me of the past. The differnce of nuance between "doubt" and "suspect" used to give me a very hard time when I was struggling to pass the entrance examination. I felt nostalgic.
>>122 It's not the matter of nuance, the two words are very different with each other. Only when you memorize the meaning of it in Japanese, they look similar.
>>122 Are you me? lol That's what possesed me until recently. "I suspect Prime Minister Fukuda is chimpanzee" "I doubt President Bush got a enough score to enter Yale University without backdoor" Haven't I use two words adequately?
Man, there's lots of swearing in this thread. So I guess our super secret English plan is to give the middle schoolers enough swear words to give their teacher a heart attack come English class?
Then, once all the English speakers are dead, we invade the country and start asking around for directions in English. They'll never know what hit them.
>>123 Yeah, I know that now. But just imagine for a moment... that you are taking a national center test for university. You find two choices, doubt and suspect. You are usually pretty good at English, but now you are so nervous that you are far less confident on the question...Can you feel it?
>>124 Of course I am! We are comrade, mate. I think you are using them quite fine. I doubt I am perfectly right, though. But I suspect Bush did, too.
Now I'm working on a Japanese-English translation project, but I've got a couple of problems of how to render Japanese mimetic words such as 'プルプル' or 'ごりっと'. So I was wondering if anyone knew the websites explaining them. Any information will help me.
Thank you for helping me. I wonder if you could help me with the usage of axiliary verb "may." In the thread for high schoolers (again!) they are saying "May she be there?" , which seems to mean "Is there any possiblity she is there?" Do you say that? One online dictionary says one cannot use "may" in a question form except for "May I...? or May we...?" Thank you in advance.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=DWST_hR9o4I Is his English unnatural? Very distinctive speaking way, but I am Japanese so I can't notice his foreign accent. His English sounds like black and very colloquial. In a way more fluent than accepted English. If native speakers listened to his voice without prior knowledge that he is korean descent, cho could pass as 100% native speaker?
>>77 Yes, people understood my Japanese. It was a good feeling, knowing I was at least somewhat capable.
As for the scent you're questioning, I didn't notice anything. From what I could tell, they didn't smell any different than the people here. I probably would've noticed if they did, as well, considering I got stuck in a train packed with them at Harajuku station on the Yamanote line. I was trying to get off the train, but never had the opportunity to! There was a huge crowd waiting to get on. My guess was since it was getting late and the train was heading toward residential districts like Ikebukuro (please correct me if I'm wrong in considering that a primarily residential district), it was just people trying to get home.
As for the incident in Akihabara, "within walking distance" simply means that I could've easily walked to the location it was occurring in a reasonable amount of time. I wasn't watching it happen with my own eyes, so I didn't see any police cars arrive. Though, I did visit the sites after. I followed the example of those around me, and put down a bottle of tea on the cloth laid out near Akihabara station. I saw another cloth or two in other locations, as well.
The way he is speaking is abnormal. I think he is probably trying to sound authoritative and scary since he is on camera so he is not using his normal speaking voice. I do not know how he would sound in a normal situation so I cannot comment on his accent. However, I can say that he certainly does not sound like a "normal" English-speaker but there are exceptions.
>>153 The manner in which he is speaking and his word choice, yes, may be a little strange... but not in a sense that the words are anything other than common English. His accent doesn't sound particularly strange at all, to me. Some of it just sounds like a bad fiction story, is all. :P
>>150 Oh, thanks. Then His English seems to be native speaker's level. I read an article that his English was laughed at because his English was influenced by his korean roots and the incident gave him great animosity. Then, it was his own distinctive accent derived not from his korean roots that was laughed at.
I've been told by some I speak strangely, as well, because I tend to use a somewhat expanded vernacular even in casual speech... so perhaps this would tip the scales a bit as to what I'd consider as being "abnormal."
Kato was an exceptionally idiot. But I couldn't but feel angry and in despair about spectators around the crime scene. A crowd of people giggling in front of TV camera with cellular phone. They showed the end of Japan rather than Kato.
>>158 Yeah, that's pretty lousy. It's like that everywhere though. Stupid people do stupid things... it's always been that way and I doubt it'll ever change. At the very least, not in our lifetime.
I probably would've noticed if they did, as well, considering I got stuck in a train packed with them at Harajuku station on the Yamanote line. I was trying to get off the train, but never had the opportunity to! --------------------------------- You can often smell the smell of shit from buttock and bad smell from middle ages. I think it can not be a good example of japanese scent.
>>168 "Like a yoyo" means insert from behind the back, doggy style or a girl on boy's knee style? Both girls are conquetary and passive to boy's desire. They are toy girls. In that way they are alike. But Sabrina's body is way more gorgeous than that japanese on youtube.
I didn't wanna reveal イギリス人's sexual orientation. But I can't hold back my desire. http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=be7rBgc-OEE She was イギリス人's dream girl when he was in nursery school. Her sexual image was imprinted in イギリス人's mind and he could never forget until he saw Jordan, Goddess of britain.
Don't misunderstand me. I know there are such things as different races. But, to me, a black man marrying a white woman is the same as two black people marrying, or two white people marrying.
Of course, the specific people may have their own flaws. But those are the flaws of the people, not the race.
Honestly, racism is just ignorance, pure and simple. Making jokes is one thing, but people who are honestly racist need to go to sleep and never wake up.
>>142 Thank you. That was exactly what I thought about the problem, which seemed to me very weird. The grammar problem was like... "Change the next sentence using "may"; Is she there? " Some of the advisers came up with "May she be there?" and put the same answer on the thread. I was not so sure about it. By the way, the sentence I came up with was "May I ask you if she is there?" Some of the grammar problems high schoolers have to tackle are really pointless. I wonder why they have to do it...
If Palin was Japanese, she would be criticized for doing what she is doing by a lot of people. She gave birth to a baby who is handicapped just several months ago and her 17-year-old daughter is now expecting... Probably she does not have so much time to focus on her family issues. Men never get this kind of criticism not only in America but in Japan...
http://www4.himitsukichi.info/up/selfmade/1212678625/ >>192 If you wanna sea inside 金玉儿's brain. better check his creations. His creations would you convinced of the reason why he kept saying absolutely stupid things and the fact he is genius.
>>198 Those were the days when I adored Western countriees music. Those were the days when anything American and British sounded and looked cool to me.
Every time I listen to this song, I feel like I can fight with a Grizly bear and knowck it down.
>>193 I think her daughter's act was to blame in the U.S. Media tried to stir up this problem. That's the evidence that bearing a child in teenage is ethically wrong in the U.S too. But abortion is more worse in the U.S. And Palin's other conservative achievements offset bad aspects. If her daugheter married with black or had a abortion, white conservatives would be disillusioned.
>>174 I've never heard of her, but do like some 80s music, especially the Scorpions. Not really a big fan of Jordan either... she's not that attractive. At least Peter Andre is happy with her.
>>196 The version with Gunther is pretty addictive, I'm ashamed to say...
>>200, >>202 That guy on Pop Idol (not American Idol) isn't the worst we've ever had here. There's much, much worse.
>>205 Really. It feels strange that sometimes I turned out to be acquainted with some british figures than you. That might simply means I'm older than you though... You didn't know the famous lines "He's my toy boy, toy boy I'm out with my toy boy, toy boy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday night" either? How about Samantha Fox. English Madonna. lol Peronally I don't like Madonna. Fox is a ideal word for Madonna, who is calculating. Samantha Fox looks like foolish girl in downtown area and she is girl next door type.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=nZf9nBRgW2Y&feature=related She is new to me. She seems to have gotten recognition in Japan prior to Britain. The same thing goes to Patsy Kensit. Both are blonde and maybe tall. Sculpted faces. That was rare and attractive to Japanese. Maybe.
>>210 His music is not type of the music that stays in our mind. Maybe his music lacks heart. That's what I think. Amuro got better after she graduated from Komuro. Her recent CD became a huge hit.
>>213 humm...the classical music makes me feel calm. it is great that's why it stays in the world forever. That kind of masterpiece never fade.
It is apart from the music, but imagine the cartoon "Tom and Jerry". Even it was first produced in 1930's it looks still new. I wonder how many of music, art, movies stays forever that way.
>>215 Why do you say such a thing abruptly? Unfortunately most of them are as muds as sand niggers..... Italian nationality won't make you white. White nationalism is based on false assumption. White nationalists distort truths to unite Europe just for convenience. Hitler was right. Hitler clearly made distinction between true whites and fake whites. And it's understandable for Hitler and Himmler to think Greeks at their time were not direct discendants of ancient Greek civilization. These uncivilized brown faces could not have been creator of great civilization.
>>220 She is at least a human being with a cute face and innocent personality. So withou meeting Komuro, her life could have been normal, treated better by others. But because of the "trauma", she will never be normal once again in her life. But in return, she has a glorious memories as a top star, discovered by Komuro, from one of the ordinary girls to a super star for a while. But how miserable her life is after aged 30. She is now a cripple.
The band was founded by George Burdi using the pseudonym George Eric Hawthorne. --- He was ashamed of non-white italian ancestry on his father's side and changed his name to germanic. Now he is devoted to eastern spiritualism. He was not white enough to keep the faith in white race.
>>225 Komuro is now staying happily with Keiko. She is capable enough to cradle Komuro. He seems quite content these days as I saw him on TV recently. We never know, but just seeing Kahara who had been giving media horribly news about drugs, etc and after she was banned by entertainment world, she's a cripple now. I remember on TV interview, Komuro was commented like this."I want to cut out my certain period from my life". Apparently the period that he wants to cut out is the time when he stayed with Kahara.
Kahara is the symbol of Komuro's bad luck. After media informed all those gossips about Kahara, people started to get away from Komuro. Especially girls would never be fans of him after knowing what he has done to Kahara. He tried to sell her album by handling media with the image of Cinderella girl who was just an ordinary to be a princess, being his private girl friend as well. But then as he started to discovere more about her, he thought she's not that talented or gorgeous girl as he thought, or simply he got tired of her. Anyway, Komuro is a bad guy. Nobody will buy his albums. I've never thought that his music was awesome.
When I was in high school, I was taught in geography class that Indians and Iranians are white. And then, I wondered at their skin color not being white, so I asked my teacher the reason. The teacher replied, “because they have been sunburned by strong sunlight over generations.”
im very tired no im exhausted now because I slept only for 2 hours and I had to do many things! I wanna go to spaーーreborn! i'll have thai for dinner maybe it makes me fine!
Stormfront banned swastika and racial epithets like nigger, right? David Duke and Don Black have been trying to make their site more common as they did in KKK.
http://blogs4conservatives.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/rp-and-db.jpg Neo nazi Bill White exposed this. Presidential Candidate Ron Paul from GOP with Don Black, stormfront administrator. Most of white nationalists accused bill white of working for anti-racists. In return Bill said "why do we have to hide we are nationalsocialists?"
I think it is a good thing for physically impaired people to be able to enjoy sports and also to be excellent at it. There is however an issue of highly advanced artificial limbs... Some of them are so powerful that it seems those who are using them are not handicapped... What do you think?
If you want to be accepted as white within a nazi community, you should probably go to plus4chan's news board, nearly everyone there hates blacks and believes in race realism.
>>247 Yes, they did. David Duke wants to make his site more 'mainstream'.
As a black american i can assure you. most of those racists" are just talking because it is the internet. I have never met a racist and if I did he would get a exploder suplex
no. see if I were robbing raping and killing then I would be the savage and considering a racist would be trying to kill me just for being black I think a suplex is justified
>>251 You are not necessarily against Bill White? Bill White was kicked out from Vanuguardnewsnetwork. >>252 Why not go to Roanoke Verginia where Bill White lives. You can call him too.
>>256 I am starting to believe more and more in fascism, oligarchy and national socialism. Particularly I admire Hitler and Japanese Bushido mentality. I believe these ideas are healthy so I believe in National Socialism, Nordic Pride and not associating with the muds (southern europeans).
x As a black american i can assure you. most of those racists" are just talking because it is the internet. I have never met a racist and if I did he would get a exploder suplex
o As a black American, I can assure you most of those "racists" are just talking because this is the Internet. I have never met a racist, and if I did, he would get an exploder suplex.
>>257 Wow, you must be in the minority even in white nationalists. You can't say what you think in the public of "white-nationalism" They hate infighting. Actually they are always causing infighting for the different reasons though. Am I trolled? lol
How do you guys think about Jena 6. It's strange that perpetrator blacks are depicted as victims in the media. I guess I've seen a picture of one 'victim' having a wad of bills in his mouth. http://www.bossip.com/wp-content/uploads/jena6stacks1.JPG This one? a little different from what I said.
And the tragedy of christopher newsome and channon christian was never reported in Japan. Japanese don't know the story. It was applicable to the situaition of USA somehow.
The nigger reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson attended rallies to promote hate of whites and defend black crime. Bill White published the names and addresses of these black criminals on overthrow.com - There are many sites you can go to see the truth about the 'Jena 6'.
>>263 Of course! White nationalism in my opinion is not just for whites.
It is for all civilized races who want to stand up to the Jew and the mud races like Africans.
Also it is interesting you heard about the Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome story. It wasn't widely reported. Have you heard of the 'Wichita Massacre'? Committed by black animals.
Also look up the 'Zebra Murders', blacks are wicked creatures.
The story of Byakkotai seems to have come home to hitler-jugend's hearts while they stayed in Japan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byakkotai I don't know how Byakkotai story is connected with nationalsocialism.
Some japanese criticised hitler-jugend for their robotic lifestyle.
'Honorary white' makes me feel like I'm not white enough. What else should I do to be totally white other than swearing at blacks and such? Kinda fucked up that I like some black music though.
>>267 Raping, urinating and cutting off penis remind me of concrete encased high school girl murder case in adachi ward, tokyo in 1988. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junko_Furuta They were protected under juvenile law and their names were hidden. They escaped death penality and now live somewhere in Japan. One main culprit commited crime again and went to jail. 'Wichita Massacre'? No.
Wichita massacre was committed by 2 nigger brothers, they forced 5 individuals to have sex with each other, then raped them, then tortured them, then shot them all. One woman survived.
This was the case that made me start to believe in National Socialism.
>>286 Are you? How much percentage are you Cherekee? Some north americans seem to falsely claim to be partly native american to enhance their image. Angelina Jolie's mother's backgroud seems not to be serious. I recommend you to check your background seriously. You must be afraid of being excluded from white america. Don't worry, new nuremberg law in america will give you the certificate of white race.
>>287 Somewhere between 6.25 and 12.5 percent, on my mother's side of the family. Don't know where you get the idea that some make the claim that aren't, as I can't honestly say I've encountered that, and I live here.
Furthermore, race doesn't mean jack shit. Couldn't care any less than I already do about anyone's race, especially my own.
Too bad!! You have a chance to enroll as white race under national socialist america. You are not white anymore. It's too late. You abandoned white status youself! Your idea is more dangerous to the cause than mere existence of non-whites. It must feel good for a white to say white is not anything. But You are not white anymore! Sorry!
Hahaha. His name is jero. He is 1/4 japanese. He has good voice. But not a good enka singer I guess. Black enka singer can easily draw attentions. After all novelty sells. If a japanese enka singer had the same voice as jero and wore like jero, his record would sell miserably. In that sense jero is pampered, I guess. Enka business is very severe. Good voice is enka singer's startpoint. They have to have edge over other enka singers somehow. Being black seems to be some edge. But his voice is unworthy of average enka singer. so unfair.
>>250 I think a man with artificial libms should not race among the phsically unimpared. There was a controversy as to whether artificial legs enhance athlete ability.. But if we think more deeply, argument itself gets non-sense. He is assisted with artificial limbs already... He couldn't pass the olympic standard record. so controversy got up in the air. It's unthinkable that a minority handicapped can ran faster with handicap burdened on him. If it should happen, it's natural to think he is assisted with tool.
but not to mention TV talents, some ordinary people are popular just because he has nice looking and as for, native English speaker, they are employed in Japan as English teacher even if they didn't graduate from universities unfair is filled fith our society
do you guys have a hobby that won't make you use any cost? I have. I always look for something fun which won't make me pay at all. There are a lot of fun entertainment. The thing is how you enjoy it and how you are absorbed in it.
>>311 I always stay at home so Internet surfing is kind of my hobby. Reading paperbacks and English blogs and websites are my hobby, too. One paperpack is around 1000 yen and it took a month or more to read it through. Just paying 1000 yen I can enjoy it for a month. Cost saving way of killing time.
The same goes with the Net surfing. Resourses are unlimited. Only fixed fee a month to my ISP makes it posssible to read as much English as I want. But I need interactions with people in real life instead of shutting myself in my house. I'm getting less interested in reading English. It's kind of like burden to read English every day. My mother tounge Japanese is far easy to understand.
So, what do you have to do that doesn't cost you much.
I enjoy reading paperbacks too. Yeah, you are right. It costs me about 1000 yen and it takes me a few weeks (sometimes more than a month!) to finish it. It really is a good way to spend my free time.
I also get tired from reading books in another language and wonder why I am doing this because I know it's so much easier to do it in my own language...then, I seem to come to the same conclusion that it's fun because it's more challenging... Well, I seem to go into circles....
I like reading and net surfing as well. I have many hobbies but the condition is that I wouldn't have to pay any money. The key is how much we can give ourselves up to it. For example, I like jogging and walking. but what time go is important. If summer, I go very early in the morning or late at night. And depends on what course I jog, I choose different music. If it's very late and dark, I choose R&B. It matches the view. Also I don't eat 3 times a day, I like to enjoy being in hunger. And what I eat is very small portion and something contains the necessary nutrition. Every small thing, you can enjoy everyday. Everything is how you do. Even brushing your teeth, you can do by your own way.
>>314 What you are saying sounds very nice and spiritual... We should find joy in every little thing. It's easier said than done though, as far as I'm concerned. I like to buy things, see things, and do things. I'm prone to complain lots of things. If I try to stop all these, probably I can be quite happy.
Then perhaps instead of solely reading English, you should find someone to converse with vocally? Whether by internet or in person, perhaps it would be a bit more fulfilling to use your voice instead of your eyes. If you haven't already, I'd certainly give it a try!
-- As for hobbies, I like to read, play games, program, teach myself whatever I deem useful (academic or otherwise) either in the present or in the future, listen to music, watch movies or the like, hang out with friends, and anything else I deem entertaining (which varies regularly). Hell, I spend a portion of my time just silently thinking to myself in a dark room, even.
It's simply a question of finding something you enjoy.
2. Why don't I see just as many whites claiming/bragging about Aboriginal/Maori/Inuit etc. ancestry?
3. Why specifically Cherokee? Why not Apache, Sioux, Creek, Hopi etc.?
People have been brainwashed by schools and the media into thinking it's cool to be a "native American". Meanwhile (in our mainstream politically-correct society) being white or European is worth nothing or is seen as something to be ashamed of.
>>324 Oh yeah, some random forum is really a credible source.
Anyhow, it's nothing to brag about, so I don't know where that comes in. It's not something I just claim randomly - in fact, it doesn't even come up in conversation unless the conversation is steered that way. On my mother's side of the family, there is a full-blooded Cherokee. The reason it's not uncommon isn't because people find it cool, but because the Cherokee nation was made up of many tribes, in many places in North America. Simply put, it was extremely large. It only makes sense that they would mix with the population in a large way.
Look at and research the history of places like Puerto Rico. It's the same concept. Two different races inhabit the same land, they intermingle, and procreate with one another.
>>328 Are those stories on the website written and uploaded by hobby writers? I don't really find any big names in there but it's sort of nice that amateur writers have an oppotinity to make their works public on the internet. I like the Haiku section there. Thanks.
>>328 All this writing reminded me of this simple thing a friend made a while ago. The site is long dead, so I've just spent the last thirty minutes making something similar.
You can only see the line the previous user has written - the rest of the story is invisible to you. After a certain time (maybe two days), the story then becomes available to read as a whole. It can be pretty chaotic, but sometimes fun. Please do have a try.
I'll add more features when I have time - expect a timer, archive, and to attach it to a dictionary to choose a random topic.
Today, I watched "the princess mononoke" in English. But the voice actor playing Moro was terrible. It was too sissy, although it's no wonder because it was played by an woman. Maybe I am expecting too much, though. There's no one and no voice like Miwa. No one can replace her (or him?).
It's just I wanted to say this. No other particular intention. Sweet dreams, guys.
>>330 I've seen pictures. He was dead before I was born, I think. I haven't made a lot of inquiries about it, either - I just know he existed, very little more.
>>342 A lot of アニメ that have been dubbed into English sound terrible. Don't be surprised if that trend continues. Dubs from any language to any language tend to be pretty crappy in most cases, from what I've personally witnessed.
>>339 through >>341 Romaji is usually a phonetic representation... as such, は as a particle is generally written wa like it is pronounced. But, of course, は as part of a word is ha, as it is pronounced.
>>345 I think your inferiority complex deters you from being racially aware. You are afraid of being kicked out from white brothers. So you attack white brothers before you are discriminated against.
Commander schoep said that they will never come back as white once they mix with non-whites. It's somewhat true. But Don't worry. You are whiter than any other south europeans. You can pass as aryan race in europe with no suspicion. I think you finally come back as whites. You have the credential to be white. If you live sincerely for the cause of white race, I think white brothers welcome you with open arm. White with non-white blood is required to be more racist as Third Reich showed. You are monitored by SS. I hope you will meet the goal they lay down on you. I sawa half japanese and german nazi officer got more and more cruel to the jews to show loyality to Adolr Hitler in the comic, アドルフに告ぐ(Adolf) by tezuka osamu. The premise that half-breed can get SS may have been unrealistic though.
http://image.space.rakuten.co.jp/lg01/55/0000223855/13/img2616c568zik1zj.gif This is Adolf kaufmann, mix between German and Japanese. It's considered very rare for the mixed to have blonde hair and blue eyes like him. He looks 100% white. It's miracle and unthinkable. In a way even diplomat's son cannot be SS with features associated with Asian and tezuka made him very aryan?
Tezuka apparently criticized nazi-germany and Hitlerin the context of comic. But he equally deplored middle eastern problem at the end of the story. Tezuka didn't show the solution. He just showed how stupid mankind are. Ending was very ironic.
I think jews won't accept the ending. The jews only accept one way story. The jews are victims and always right. And tiny tiny porition would deny all of アドルフに告ぐ lol
I'm not ignorant and impudent enough to call myself aryan. lol We all know Hitler named japanese arayn in ethical and cultural points. not racial and ethinic points.
>>351 Hitler was depicted as psycho, emotionally unstable man. He got depressed and excited in succession. Maybe he got very nervous because of his hidden jewish blood. He was part jew in the comic, which seemed to be denied in historical research though. I think nazi supporters won't tolerate the setting. But It's not a simple story. There was profound despair to human-beibngs including the jews.
>>358 Percentage wise, aren't more crimes in Japan committed by Japanese than by foreigners? I remember reading that somewhere. What's your opinion on that? Also, due to low birth rates in Japan, foreigners need to be brought in. If they aren't, Japan's economy will likely plummet. I'd hate to see that happen.
Also, calling me whiter than "any other" south European would suggest that I am south European. I am primarily German, with the remainder being a mix of English, Scottish, Austrian, Cherokee, and a possible amount of Irish. Aside from this, I live in North America, so I'm not even south European by residence.
-- Anyhow, digressing from this track of conversation, I have a question relating to the Japanese language. I've been learning on my own for a good while, though I haven't had much time to devote to it in the past year. However, there's one thing I constantly mix up. Usage of は and が as particles. I see that there is a difference between the two and when they're used, but I often have a difficult time figuring out when to use which. In textbooks they often list は as the "topic marker" and が as the "subject marker", but that does little to explain it.
If anyone here can give a thorough explanation and some examples, as well as explain why it's wrong to use one where the other should be used, I would appreciate it. I've always been understood when I use them, but I still can't shake the feeling that I'm probably doing it wrong.
>>361 Where did you read? completely reverse. I'm just mentioning the fact. No, racist intention. If you mean foreigner as from the western countries only, you might be correct though. They are hardly populus and their jobs are limited. And if you mean foreigner for sightseeing with visas, You may be right too...
Usage of は and が as particles. I see that there is a difference between the two and when they're used, but I often have a difficult time figuring out when to use which. -------------------- It's pretty difficult for native japanese speakers too. We can use them respectively but we use them sensuously.
Suppose my name is yamada takashi. When someone asked a crowd of people who is yamada takashi, I would say 私がyamada takashi です。 When someone asked my name, I would say 私はyamada takashi です. We can use respectively. But It's hard to explain. Probably は just explains that S equals C. And が explains that C is "that" C besides S equals C.
私がやりました is close to "It's me who did it" 私はやりました just shows "I did it".
>>362 My mistake, I am referring to foreigners from Western countries. I cannot recall where I was reading about it - perhaps I'll look for the articles later.
I guess English "I did it" includes the same nuances as 私はやりました and 私が やりました. That might be confusing too.
When I did a bad thing in the classroom, a teacher repremanded students and said "who did it". At that moment I would say 私 が やりました。 I was supposed to do a routine work and actually did it. But a supervisor was skeptical. He said "did you do the job?" I would say 私 は やりました. In both cases English "I did it" may work? ------------------------------ as the "topic marker" and が as the "subject marker", but that does little to explain it. -------------------------------- As is similar to this explanation, 私 が やりました focus on subject 私 and 私 はやりました focus on verb やりました.
It depends what you consider most important. For you, economic quick fixes in terms of manual labour are the most important. For other people, preserving their heritage, culture and low crime rates are the most important.
You are American?
Do you want me to post the facts about just how disproportionate the rate of black crime in the US is?
http://images.google.co.jp/images?sourceid=navclient&hl=ja&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGLG_ja___JP225&q=mother%20theresa&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi She is an Albanian Indian. I can't find the true aemrican indian, who got naturalized in India. By the way Mother Theresa can be approved as white race by white nationalists? She is Indo-European in Europe and not a muslim. Many white nationalists exclude Albanian because they are not christian. But I think Albanians are more whiter and more authentic aryan than maltese ,who is semetic like the jews they resent, who white nationalists prefer to call white only because they are christians in Europe. It's odd and wrong.
>>371 I'm all for preserving culture as much as possible, but when it means the ruin of a nation and the suffering of its residents, is it really worth it? Besides, importing a lot of foreigners doesn't necessarily mean that your culture has been thrown away. At least where I've been, Tokyo, has absorbed quite a bit from other cultures -- though, I cannot speak from personal experience about other regions. Heck, I even have a picture I took of what appeared to be Sumo wrestlers eating donor kebab! If that isn't a cultural mix, I don't know what is. With a good screening process, it doesn't mean that there will be an overly significant hike in crime rates, either.
>>372 You fail to make your point clear. "...definitely helps a bit" == "...definitely helps a little." His example helped me to understand the difference a little more than I had before. "Definitely" meaning certainly, or undoubtedly. "A bit" meaning a small to moderate amount.
>>371 No need. It is indeed fact that there are a disproportionately large number of Blacks and Hispanics in our jails as opposed to Whites and Asians, but that does -not- mean that all members of said races are criminal in nature, or that even most of them are criminal in nature. It also so happens that people of poor economic status are more likely to commit crimes. Unfortunately, a majority of those in a poor economic state in our country are members of the Black and Hispanic community.
>>377 The only reason Native Americans were ever labeled "Indians" is because on native voyages to this continent, they believed they had landed in India. This was a false presumption, but the term "Indian" to refer to Native Americans stuck. So yes, Native American is the same as American Indian.
>>368 Okay, that makes more sense. Thanks! (And yes, "I did it" would be fine for both of those cases in English)
Verily, I shall articulate my omnipotence of the English language in such a manner as this so as to demonstrate my vast superiority and to attempt to be labeled as a demigod amongst the lesser races. Despite my assertation of being a member of the elite intellectual community who attends an institution of higher learning and of being a citizen of the world's foremost superpower, I will ever remain bored and, for all eternity, type my sighs into the physical plane for all to peruse.
>>397 What's this? Is this the writing of a native speaker or dilettante japanese? Sounds quite unnatural. An Intellectual native speaker like Kevin Alfred Strom won't write like this I can assure you.
>>397 I take it you're taking a jab at me for using decent English.
God forbid I sound like anything other than a blithering idiot, you know. Instead, I should speak as if I were a five year old, keeping my vocabulary to an absolute minimum.
I apologize if you find it "uncool" that I choose to at least be somewhat skilled in my native language. If you are another native speaker, you make me sick. You're the problem with today's society. You're the reason that society is getting less and less intelligent. In short, you are society's cancer. Please, die.
On the other hand, if you aren't, would you rather I speak in simpler terms? Am I wrong in assuming that this thread is to help people with their English? Many people here speak on a fairly advanced level, so I would only hope they'd want to speak with others on or above their level in the language they're learning -- for their own benefit. If you are indeed not a native speaker, why is it making you frustrated enough to lash out and make assumptions? I, quite obviously, do not hold any of the beliefs mentioned in your post. If you are not a native speaker, and wrote that without aid, though, good job.
If the above two scenarios do not fit the situation, then you are just a troll. Here, have some food.
>>407 Yeah, it is. I don't remember if I was taller than them or not - I don't think I got close enough to be certain. It didn't really cross my mind. I'm only around 6ft (sorry, I'm not used to measuring height with metrics... Google says 6ft = 182.88cm) tall, give or take an inch or two. I haven't been measured in quite a while.
I thought they were Sumo wrestlers. Thanks for confirming.
http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/6483/dscf0663bl4.jpg If they are sumo wrestler, they must be low rank sumo wrestler. They are young and topknot? is short. I've seen sumo wrestler only one time with my own eyes in my life. That was in the train in osaka. outfits like them are pretty pretty rare in japan too.
>>410 He sounds like an intelligent native speaker or pedantic native speaker? I don't have the ability to discern japanese English and native speaker's English.
>>408 I googled and found out that Avarage hight of sumo wrestlers is about 6 feet 1 inch. The average weight is 330 pound.
You may think they are just fat people and the game of the sumo is just about fat men shoving and slapping on sumo ring, you're wrong. Their average body fat percentage is around 24%, which means muscles instead of fats are the most of them.
>>412 In big cities we have more chance to see them. But in most of areas we rarely have chance. I used to go to big cities like shinjuku tens of times. But never seen.
>>414 Some parts sound a little quirky. It's really hard for me to tell - he's either a non-native speaker, a native speaker who is trying to speak somewhat above his level, or a native speaker purposely trying to condense as many higher-level words as he can into a short passage in an effort to take yet another jab at me. His post is wholly sarcastic in nature.
"I will ever remain bored..." sounds a little strange, while not being technically incorrect, for example. Most speakers would say "I will forever remain bored..." instead -- or so I believe.
>>414 Nobody has seen his photo here but he must be a native English speaker. He uploaded photos of his car and his penis bit off by an aligator living a pond near his house.
>>418 I'm not stupid enough to upload my picture to an anonymous forum such as this. Hell, I won't even do so to forums that require registration. Not a fan of giving photos of myself to complete strangers.
Wow, I completely forgot that I once uploaded a picture of my car here. I'm surprised you remember.
>"...and his penis bit off by an aligator living a pond near his house." Hah.
I got so obsorbed in posting here that I forgot punching in a sell order. Fortunately or to my regret, stock price is way lower than that I ordered at.
>>425 I think he's a NEET. Some NEETS buy and sell stock using Internet. If I'm not wrong they're called "day trader" which means they sell and buy lots of time in a day sitting in fornt of the PC screens (they use dual display often) all day long.
>>415 Yes, I've heard the training they undertake is quite grueling and painful. Torturous, even. However, I can't say I've really looked into it, myself.
>>416 Not entirely sure who that is. Some wrestler?
>>431 Wakanoho is a sumo wresteler from Russia. He was arrested for possessing marijuana and detained. His urine tested positive. He was fired recently. In succession two other russians tested positve in suprise check?(without prior notice) and were fired for the same reason.
You've smoked weed as well, haven't you? I don't blame you. To me tabako and marijuana are not different much. I don't smoke both.
For the past week or longer, the new that Russian sumo wrestlers smoked weed has made headline here in Japan.
>Roppongi? It is where wakanoho smoked weed. lol
Wakanohos is the first who was caught red handed, which means arrested of possesing weed. He first insisted he was the only one who smoked it but Japan Sumo association conduct through test and found out that other two sumo wrestlers smoked weed based on the results of scientific tests using their urine. The two has been denying the charges but the test which is similar to that of done by Internation Olympic commity is trustworthy. So chances are they are lying.
As you may know, Japanese sumo has been internationalised. There are foregin wrestlers from Mongol, Russia, Bulgaria and USA and all that. Because they are phisically strong and Japanese yougsters don't want to be a sumo wrestlers. This scandal led to resignation of the head of Japan sumo association and firing the three wrestlers from Russia.
Sentoryu was a sumo wrestler. Now he's a professional fighter. He's from Saint Louis. To be precise he was born in Japan and moved there at the age of 6. His wrestler name sentoryu is combinatin of two Japanses words, which are sento (fighting, battle) adn ryu. (dragon) While "sento" part means fighting, sento was used becasue the word sounds similar to his hometown "Saint" Louis.
I was tired because I read posts from No.347 to No.435 this morning. I make it a rule to read all of post here as a study of English. So I did such a tough work.
>>436 English here includes that of non-natives like mine. So I'd recommend you just skim through posts like mine and read seriously those of igirisujin and Ethers.
Reading some blogs written by native speakers in English, especially those who are interested in Japan is better way of improving your reading skill.
>>437 Reading English brogs may be good way to enhance English ability, but BBS like 2ch is more interesting and beneficial to me because I can post freely and I don't have to expose my name.
As for posts written by Japanese, their sentenses are easier to understand than that of native speaker's because I'm immature. Being both native's post and Japanese posts here in appropriate proportion is the best for me.
>ruin of a nation and the suffering of its residents
Tell that to the victims of the Wichita massacre. They are the end result of your multicult. Of course, people like you are ok because you live in secluded or at worst, gated communities. That's the way you deal with the ultra-tolerant society you helped to create.
Having said that, I do support gated communities, because some day they will be the last traces of civilized humanity in all the world; and it won't be gates, but 20ft walls, guards armed with sniper rifles and automated attack drones that keep out the savages.
>happens that people of poor economic status are more likely to commit crimes
Many people believe that a bad social environment is a major contributor to crime. They believe that if people of all races had the same education, income, and social status, there would be no race differences in crime rates. Academic research, however, shows that these differences persist even after controlling for social variables.
In fact, the percentage of the population that is black and Hispanic accounts for crime rates more than four times better than the next best measure: lack of education. Furthermore, even controlling for all three measures of social disadvantage hardly changes the correlation between racial mix and crime rates. The correlation between violent crime and the percentage of the population that is black and Hispanic is 0.78 even when poverty, education, and unemployment are controlled, versus 0.81 when they are not. In layman’s terms, the statistical results suggest that even if whites were just as disadvantaged as blacks and Hispanics the association between race and violent crime would still be almost as great. It may seem harsh to state it so plainly, but the single best indicator of an area’s violent crime rate is its racial/ethnic mix.
>>441 Source, please. Or, if you are from 4chan as >>442 assumes, "sauce" please.
>>440 Sorry, I don't live anywhere like that. I currently live in an apartment complex, and a heavily mixed one at that. I've moved around a lot. Economic status has shifted quite a bit as well, back and forth. Many of the people my family and I associate with are of other races, and no problems have arisen due to that fact.
As for the Wichita massacre in 2000, this was a crime perpetrated by two people. You're just fishing for crimes based on race.
>>438 Well, it's good you've set a daily goal for yourself like that. I wish I could say I do the same with Japanese, but I've been fairly lazy with it as of late. I've been busy with miscellaneous things, so I don't have time for it... and when I do, I often feel like relaxing instead. I really need to study the language a bit more frequently.
>>433 I've tried it. Not really my thing. I will say, though, that it's nowhere near as harmful or impairing as alcohol. Really, you just feel a little weird and things seem funnier than they really are. It's nothing compared to alcohol.
Digressing from the topic a bit, I don't really like to drink alcohol much either. I also feel that people that actually start smoking these days, with everything known about how bad for you it is, are kind of stupid for doing so. It's just a waste of money, and a waste of health.
I think people who are discriminated constantly are more likely to commit a crime. In one case, a Korean student in Verginia teck slaughtered a years ago. He said he did it because people around him discriminated and treated him badly.

Accessed July 9, 2005.
Those were the sources used to make the correlations. I can actually upload the correlation graphs if you want. Also, an explanation:
"The square of the correlation coefficient indicates the strength of the relationship between two variables. The corre- lation between percent black-and-Hispanic and the violent crime rate is 0.81; the square is 0.66. The correlation between high school education and violent crime rate is 0.37; the square is 0.14. Racial mix predicts the violent crime rate more than four times better than lack of a high school education."
Even if there is a rigid source in hand, it doesn't mean much though, because "correlation" does not imply "causation" in statistics. That's the illogical rhetoric that those racist scientists have been emplolying to propagate the unwarranted ideas on race. Simply, they're just blaming the victims.
>Even if there is a rigid source in hand, it doesn't mean much though, because "correlation" does not imply "causation" in statistics.
I don't think you understand what the correlation in this case is showing. It's not showing a causation in a traditional sense, it is a comparitive set of correlations which disprove an established hypothesis (socioeconomic sector is more important than race when it comes to crime).
>>448 No, I wouldn't. But, again, blaming an entire race for the actions of a portion of them is ignorant. Furthermore, if you have ever seen the video, it appears Rodney King was being savagely beaten by the LAPD for no apparent reason. There is no portion of the tape showing Rodney attacking officers, or making actions that would warrant the beating. There were heavy tensions between the black community and the LAPD at the time, and this, so to speak, was the straw that broke the camel's back. While, I agree, that does not excuse what happened, mob mentality is never pretty. Some of the most docile people can become raving savages when influenced by a mob.
Also, this ties somewhat into what I made mention of earlier regarding economic status. L.A. is known to have quite a few areas known as "projects", full of underprivileged residents. The majority of these, as is the case in many areas, are Black and Hispanic.
I will admit, there is definitely a problem here. However, I do not believe and have seen no concrete evidence to support that race alone is the cause. Ad hoc ergo propter hoc is a common logical fallacy.
>>453 I'm afraid you don't understand what it means. "Correlation does not imply causation" also means that it does not disprove causality, either. Two variables may or may not be related in a cause-and-effect relationship. That's what it means.
No, you are missing the point, if you take a set of variables and control for them when you already have an established hypothesis (socioeconomic status is a better yardstick of crime than race) then there's no room for 'coincidence' in the first place.
Do you believe race is a social construct? Do you believe intelligence is hereditable?
In japanese correlation is 相関関係 causation is 因果関係. Variable is 変数. Do you use variable in daily life? Variable is rather mathmatics or statistics word in japan.
>>477 I use the word "variable" quite a bit, personally... in normal speech, math, and programming (which is basically applied math).
Quite simply, it can be used a couple of ways. Here are a couple examples:
"A variable amount of salt is added to the mixture." In this example, "variable" simply means that the amount could vary. In other words, the amount is subject to change.
"The variable 'x' is equal to two." This is the one you've made mention of. Mathematics.
I'm japanese. I searched on the net. "ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH"? seems to be the lyrics from a japanese animation, naruto or something like that. Powah is Power. So Strictly "ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER" is correct. I guess ROW ROW is 漕げ漕げ in Japanese. If so, these don't have specific meaning. I think row row is encouraging and inspiring the main characters in anime to "fight the power". I don't know of naruto. Maybe there is a big enemy(Power) and the protagonists are aiming at beating down the enemy(power) in the comic?
Some niggers seem to be smart. But if they got too smart, it would be unconvinient for the jews. Niggers have to be good tools for anti-white propaganda as well as being under the control of the jewish hands. If niggers speak too much, the jews shut them down and kill them socially.
I heard there are many special chancese which for black people only in US . For example:for admit to Univ. or Colleges, personnel changes for corporate(government) image. Are there for Spanish or Asian people case?? Why are American society care Black peple only?
Affirmative action. It's aimed at minority men or women of all racial groups so that public institutions can be more representative of the population. You can check it out on wiki for more details.
>>438 Be careful when reading blogs. More often than not they will be composed of grammitcal errors, poor spelling, and things that look like they were written by a drunk person.

The only people I've given the link to are this board, some Bavarians, and my colleagues at work.

>>531 The same-line thing was due to two main problems, I think. 1. If someone posted and it didn't update, they may have tried to click again to post. 2. If someone posted and was refreshing every so often to see if it updated, the refresh would post the line again.
Making it a Flash widget means that it won't re-post on a refresh. Need to update the code a bit so that if the exact same text as the last line is posted, it won't update.
I'm not collecting IP addresses and so can't match them up specifically, but Analytics show that, today, there have been visitors from Halifax and Darlington in the UK, Munich in Germany, and Tokyo and Setagaya in Japan.
>>535 The fun comes from people of very different cultural and social backgrounds contributing the next part of the story. It makes it less predictable.
And the five day thing is just a piece of code which executes every five days on a timer - there are no cookies involved.
>>534 I've been helping some students at Munich University develop some sort of Flash application for use in cartography. Got them to help test this out too...
>>537 I see. Are you helping them online for free or officially helping them, meaning you are paid or something? I mean you live far apart from Germany so I thought you can teach them face to face. Sorry for being too inquisitive.
Hahaha, it should be ok. It's quite obvoius that he can see our IPs there. I don't think Google Analytics will give you that specific location like setagaya. I wonder how accurate they are?
>>539 http://ghostwriting.extrinsic.me.uk/googleOverlay.png This is Analytics' map overlay as of this morning. Can zoom in on the territories for more specific analysis, but it does not give IP addresses, and my code doesn't take them either. I've been avoiding databases for this project. The only posted information is what you type in the textbox.
>>538 Mainly helping them online - no fees or anything. It's just an interesting project, and when we run into problems, it's always fun to try and work them out. And please don't apologise.
>>541 I see. In programming arena or something, open source is the norm as far as I know. I've heard of API or things like that, which I know nothing about. Anyway, I take it that you guys are doing something, taking advantage of internet, geting over physical distance.
I'M KOREAN SON OF A BITCH AMERICAN AMERICAN IS PIG DO YOU WANT A HAMBURGER? DO YOU WANT A PIZZA? AMERICAN IS PIG DISGUSTING GEORGE WALKER BUSH IS A MURDERER FUCKING U.S.A.
http://i25.tinypic.com/2u9lq13.jpg Look at these muds. When they are italian, they are white. When they are non-european, they are muds. What a convenient explanation! Stormfronters face the fact. Most of them are muds regardless of their origins. Italia should bring out nation-wide DNA test as quickly as possible and sieve their citizens based on white race standard. I think their racism to "non-whites" comes from their non whiteness! It's ironic!
An old dumb face never stops to write the foolish things and showing an old sex addict face on my places. I wanted to write a lot there but I can never write anything unless that bitch goes away. damn...
I am against racism. so first of all I attack non-whites who falsely claim to be white. You know spanish and italians are the most "white" racist football supporters in the world. I think they reflect their nation very well. If we can successly wipe out these muds, there will be less and less racism in the future. And don't forget, argentina, self-proclaimed "white" country in the south america. You are next. lol
I wanted to show my artwork. But shit... that an annyoing ugly face disturbed me. I'll show my artworks on other places then. A lot of galleries are in other places.
Italians are european, which makes them white. Zidane was whiter than most of Italian national team players. They had shit skin. Turkish are whiter than Italian. But Italians are white because they are european and christian. Italians are honorary white.
I am looking for native speakers to communicate. Do you know any site where I can chat with some one special. For Yahoo messager and Yahoo chat for example, there are message board and categorised but multiple people. I just need one person who can communicate and share a good time with me.
you will never be allowed to communicate with me. because you've never listened to me. I said the whore is not allowed to write or show the face. but you ignored me. so you lost the chance. just fuck off and stay as a crippled couple forever lol
unbelievablly dauber the old face whore was. I was about to show my artworks but because of that dauber, I had to stop showing my beautiful artworks. shit...
Lehman Brothers went belly up and Meryl Linch is gonna taken over by a US major bank. What a shock to US finance industry. There is said to be some impacts on Japanese economy, too.
I wonder if there are some people here who can explain what led to Lehman Brothers bankrupcy and what kind of impact the bankrupcy'll make on Japan's economy with laynmonds term?
Anyone who are majoring in Economy or are in the know of economy things? I know subprime loans problem has something to do with the bellyup.
>>590 The impact? The world economy will be sluggish.
As you know, Euprope, Russia, China, America, all gone. Japan will be lightly damaged within developed nations because japan didn't invest in high risk stocks. And Korea will die sooner or later.
Many countires (including Japan) are/were asked to support US financially by not selling American stocks. In this situation, however, Korean Developed Bank didn't do it, and as a result of which Lehman Brothers were faced with lack of capital, and went bunkrupt.
I think there are many reasons America will hate S.Korea.
Ex-Leaman's CEO led his company to bankrupcy. Yet he received more than $100 million dollar salary annually and got away with reteriment benifit worth more than $ 2 billion before company's bankrupcy. lol It's close to fraud.
To be more precise, 17 million dollars and 299 million dollars each. The sum of money is hard to imagine and hard to convert to yen on the spot. about 17億円 and 300億円.
Korean Development Bank has been inadvertently and effectively advertising itself lately. What does it mean? As a matter of fact, KDB tried to buy out Lehman brothers, or the 4th biggest investment bank in America, even though the result wasn't so good.
They didn't agree with the price and terms of acquisitions, and within our gorvornment were there many people who stood against the plan, so they have almost given up now. The president of the bank said, "if we missed this oppotunity, there wouldn't be another chance to come korean finance industry would step up to the higher level", and tried to acquire Lehman brothers. That, however, seems to fail.
With that said, KDB got suddenly famous among the international finance market through the Lehman brothers takeover battle.
It's said that oversea media have described KDB quite differently than before this time. So far they used to regard the bank as "south korea small bank KDB", but that expression isn't used already. Up until now, the presence of South Korea at Wall Street was quite limited, so it'd be safe to say that Korean development bank wasn't known at all.
It's said that the effect of advertising of KDB by this buying out was more than money could buy. KDB's broadly known and the name is here to stay in Wall Street. According to one of the PR team of KDB, in rough estimation the adverting effect would deserve 2 billion dollars at least.
KDB hasn't been successful in negotiation, but KDB's advertised itself quite successfully.
Maybe stunt for publicitiy just like horie tried to buy out fuji television? I don't say horie and kdb was not serious. But they could reap the fruit even if they failed. And they failed.
As a Chinese, I hate Korea because Korea insists that Confucius is Korean and that Chinese characters were created by Koreans. They are so arrogant. http://www.occidentalism.org/?p=420
Have you guys ever seen the TV commercial of movie "the WANTED"? anyway, I got astonished 'cause the guy in the commercial definitely say the F word!! You've got to see that!!
>>609 they do the same things toward us. even worse. korean plagiarism is only popular on the net, like 2ch.
Chinese responded more fast and refuted in more organaized way. In that sense we should learn from china. They even joked korean plagiarism.
Japanese are fool and self-deceited people. Some japanse teach koreans japanese culture and allow them to do freely. They think they have been doing good things and tolerance makes them more good people. Very twisted mind of people. As for kendo, only koreans call kendo kumdo (chinese invented chinse character but they call kendo kendo. cos phonetic difference directly means kendo is japanese culture ) and koreans are permitted to do their own kata(form) in korea and koreans have been exporting their kata abroad in the name of kendo/kumdo abroad. And korean have their own 作法(manner) in the match. For example they don't do 蹲踞(crouching) in the match in korea. They reluctantly follow japanese style manner in the international match. All in all japs are responsible for korean's bad manners. They papmer koreans and feel delight in a self-afflicting way.
Kendo old men despise and look down on judo for its sporting styles like victory pose. But their faggotory attitude is more shameful and destroying our culture. They have no insight, international sense and logic. Kendo is just one means of kenjutsu. But they are so conceited and narcissistic that they feel like governing japanese culture.
According to ridiculous Korean people, paper originate in Korea, even though many other people than korean know it's from China. There are many other examples like this, I mean, Korean people lie about origins of cultures.
>>621 there is a set of words, 韓紙(korean pepar). But it's dubious that the words 韓紙 has really long history. I suspect the words 韓紙 derived recently from the words 和紙 (japanese paper). 和紙's dilect translation might be mild or harmonious paper though.
http://nandakorea.sakura.ne.jp/html/maturi.html http://pearl-gilda.blogspot.com/2008/06/blog-post_27.html Japanese engaging in nebuta festival taught koreans how to make lantern float from 和紙. But koreans started to boast it's a traditional float and they had a long history of festival featuring lantern float made from paper. They didn't mention japanese cooperation on their official net. Japanese should know conscience doesn't necessarily work right. Some people abroad act beyond our expectations.
Is Anjelina Jolie popular among masochistic males? Personally I don't paticularly like her. Her facial expression is so artificial and annoying to me. Is Brad Pitt maso? Maybe Anjelina Jolie in latex with a whip would beat any japanese 女王様. Or is he just a big boob lover?
>>631 But dominatrices are a worldwide plague. It infects girls when they are young. The mental disorder leads them to believe things that only do harm to society. As a result of their inability to empathize with human beings and their desire to limit the freedoms of others, they must be exterminated.
Hi. I will speak English every day if that it is a little time. If I had wrong I hope you told me answere and rules. And I wish talking everyone because I can take new words. I will search to mean of new words and response to you. Thank you.
>>606 Shut up. Korea is the center of the world and its people are the lifted race. Japan is the worst contry ever found on this planet. I really don't like Japan. I hope China or North Korea will nuke it and eradicate it!! HAHAHAHA! Pathetic Japan!!
>>661 Yes. Someone hacked into presidential candidate Sarah Palin's email account and posted screenshots of her inbox on 4chan's /b/. Apparently the password was something ridiculously obvious, too. Now they're saying that a person with an easy password cannot run a major country.
Sara Palin is just a right wing cunt. Y would you still oppose sex edu when your daughters been knocked up? They say abortion is a murder but they hate contraception too. Wtf?
>>667 Are you sure? Are some of the 4channelers competent enought to be a hacker, or rather cracker? I guess it takes lots of skills to peek someone's email inbox.
>>670 The hacker used the Password Recovery function of Yahoo Mail, in which the user is asked questions and receives the password if the answers are correct. He just had to find out a few facts about Palin's life, such as her ZIP code and the place where she met her husband.
>>675 Ahh... So the hacker broke into her yahoo's free mail account, not outlook express or other sorts of intalled email software on her PC.
Then, it may have been easier. So, her email address of yahoo was readily available on the Net and the hacker just pretended to be herself and type in her addy and pass word on Yahoo!'s page.
Naturally his first attempt failed because of wrong pass word and Yahoo asks a question or two to make a user remember their pass word. So the hacker guessed the right password based on the question. The question was such an easy answer to gueess as long as you know some facts about her or you search on the Net and managed to got into her account.
I am an attractive man who is going to be 59 this coming November. Do you want me? If you want me, I will let you taste me. I am so tasty that you would never go without me once you tasted me.
Sorry to go back to the racist topic, but I missed it and I have something I want to say: I believe that the majority of racists in USA are in fact black. Of course, I have no definite evidence for this claim, but alas, nobody has any evidence that says that the majority of racists are white/any other race.
Oh, how many times I've seen a black person play the race card.
Anybody from America should think a bit about that.
PS: Hahaha, as if Hannah Montana (the TV show) wasn't horrible enough, it's 100 times more horrible when dubbed to Japanese.
Nanashi-san from Setagaya, you are allowed to post a sentence in the Ghostwriting thing if you want to. In fact, I encourage you to. And I hope you encourage your friends and family to post too.
I almost cried when I saw "Whisper of the Heart(mimi wo sumaseba)" in English today. The dubbing was so amazing and exceptional quality, too. Highly recommended. Hail to Miyazaki Movie. Well, that's all I wanted to say. Bye guys.
The dub of Laputa is shit tho... It srsly like make you wana slap Pazu and tell him to think about what hes done in the corner. Pazu with American accent? Oh plz.
>>703 Join my club. I perfectly agree with you. I saw Walt Disney version before and that was dreadful. They have done a shit on one of my dearest movie. The voice of Pazu and Sheeta sounded way older than they looks and newly added BGM made me sick while I was watching. They spoiled everything on the masterpiece.
>>702 I said FUCK OFF!!! because of your disturbance there is no peaceful places for me to relax! go to hell!!! AND THOSE ARE NOT ANY METAPHOR, UNDERSTAND? I JUST WANT TO WRITE WHAT I WANT. NOTHING RELATED TO YOU! BASTARD! I WON'T WRITE ANYTHING ANYWHERE! GO TO HELL!
>>704 But to my suprise, Mononoke's dub was beautifully done. It was excellent. To be honest, I like it better than the orginal Japanese. It is more... alive and better acting imho.
Im more sick of Desney tho. Piss off Disney Land. Not that its run directly by Walt Disney but still.. you know, i hate even to get a glimpse of anything that this fascists made.
Btw anyone watching Dexter? Or 6 feet under? I just finished dexter 1st season. Not bad.
ex-boyfriend the other day. He has asked someone's help and advice, like me... Because he is really worried about his job these days. Such as he's thinking of going to quit his job and so on. To tell the truth, I broke up with him about 5 months ago. He's 5 years yonger than me. He graduated from university in Nagoya, and decided to start new job in Osaka last spring. After few months later, he got transferd to Nara. He was really busy from then on. (He is still busy now) He couldn't take a day off,and had to work overtime. So it was so hard to keep relations between him and me at that time. But we still keep in touch by e-mail once in a while.
I wish I could help his matter. But I couldn't advice to him easily... I hope to it turns out well!
I'm sorry for writing my poor English diary. Thank you for reading.
>>726 Get over it. Its hyper normal. Or do I have to spell propely so that even a baby like you could read? Not gonna happen, cbf.
>>729 Are you in Australia? Me too. I dont really watch tv dramas on TV anymore. Its a bit too much of a hassle to you know, have to get home by a certain time to watch stuff. Never watched House before. It seems a bit too trashy. Maybe its just channel 10 thing.
>>752 Please don't handle Mr Aso as an asshole. Though the Koreans or Chinese people or Japanese leftists consider him as an extreme right, he is a moderate conservative politician.
Who is ギリギリ君? Have you been ever posting in this thread constantly? Or Have you ever posted in this thread at least one time? Which topic did you prefer, racial things, noriaki or cool TAK and so on..?
>>763 I'm just a man who learns English as a hobby. I have so far been leaving my comments in this thread without my handle name "ギリギリ君". I have preferred trifle topics almost no one has been interested in.
>>772 I recently learned the poll result which showed more than half of americans belive the existence of gurdiang angels on American news. Belief in Book of Genesis must not be far from it.
http://www.religioustolerance.org/ev_publi.htm Hmmm. It's more than expected. Nearly half of american believe that God created human-beings at once. And theistic evolution ( I take it intelligent design) is so prevalent. Neo-consevatism or counter-reactionary-conservatism or whatever is so powerful! intelligent design admits evolution theory but they see God intention through it. I also imagine the intention of intelligence far beyond us from universe. But it's not a conceptualized God like a white man ( actually middle-eastener) with long beard. lol Rather close to the image of God in A Space Odyssey 2001.
I didn't know that theistic evolution was a old concept. So intelligent design was created to further theistic evolution theory up to more scientific one?
>>772 "LOL @ you thinking being a modernist is a bad thing"
So you like conceptual art?
Do not confuse rebelling against tradition for the sake of bettering something (like with Bach when he introduced new ideas into European music), with rebellion for the SAKE of rebellion. Which is pointless and irrelevant.
Bill White prefers the words like modernism, traditionalism and revolt. 780 must be Bill White. He once thought Columbine Massacre was a "Revolt against the Modern World".
Internet-users are prone to be atheist and accept evolution theory. But when it comes to "survival of the fittest" and "social evolutionism", things are not easy. Sometimes Science justfies kill human-beings. Modern crazy ideologies are interpretations of science. Maoism, Stalinism and Nazism are from "rational" mainstream ideas.
>>777 The United States was founded by Puritans. So I think it is natural that Christian fundamentalist is still powerful. In US, there are a lot of ultra rationalists, though. US is not only a racial melting-pot but also a religious and ideological melting-pot, I'm sure.
"If you say why not bomb them tomorrow, I say why not today? If you say today at 5 o'clock, I say why not one o'clock?" From the words of Von Neumann(possibly one of the world's most intelligent man to have everlived). Neumann was evicted by nazi. But he might also be the one to dream the land of chosen people like nazi. I think he would support every possible way to advance DNA engineering. Nobel laureate Dr.Watson said Blacks were inferior and worthless.
On another note I've been assuming Sherlock Holmes were not educated in the university. And I've thought him as prick cos he were so arrogant to Dr.Watson (more educated person). But it seemed to be my preconceived idea. There seemed to be an argument about his alma marta: Oxford or Cambridge.
The chosen people of sufficiently high intelligence will one day lead the white race to the promised land. A great white warrior will lead the white race to victory in the battles against the darker skinned peoples. Those white Han Chinese, white Japanese and white Koreans will also join with us and we will fight together.
>>796 It is clear that the Japanese do not have 'yellow skin', rather, they have white skin and white facial features. The Japanese are clearly part of the white race.
If they were living in Europe they would be considered Nordic.
Jero's mother and grand mother communicated in japanese at home. Jero decided to learn Japanese around high-school student. Jero looks almost perfect Black. But he was raised in quite a different culture from average black. He may know japanese feelings instinctively.
>>812 As for me, to have handle name is not a special thing; Of course, I know well that people who have handle names tend to be bullied by anonymous people.
>>816 You deceive yourself. Jero's grandma is a full Japanese. So it is certain that he's genetically Japanese. He doesn't possess Japanese citizenship, though.
Face of black with black fashion sings as good as japanese singer. That's the selling point of Jero. When we listen to his voice only, nothing special.
>people who have handle names tend to be bullied by anonymous people.
No, just that stupidity is condemned here when their posts confirm it. Besides, tripfagging is regarded almost equal to egotripping unless it serves a certain purpose. So, good luck.
In japan even bankers and securities salesman are called elite (salaryman, businessman). Is it true of the US? Bank is regarded as more honorable than securities company in general. It might be different from the U.S. In japan bank is more reliable occupation than securities. Making profit by the stock is considered to be rather despicable. And securities company don't earn as much money as that of the U.S. American investment bank's (securities company) salary is unbelievable. Men with high IQ and good academic background go to investment bank? In japan not the case. Top students of top universities are choosing to go to foreign finance companies for enormous salary though.
I have to admit, after briefly reading through /r9k/, my biased view on 4chan reversed overnight actually. Maybe it's not crazy enough, but definitely serious enough. Is it a sort of deserted board on 4chan?
/r9k/ isn't very good at being original. They do all sorts of the typical "ronery" threads, incest, pedophilia, general sex threads, politics (Obama cocksucking) and thats about it. Nothing original about them, just socially maladjusted like most of the internet subcultures.
That must be a false flag operation usoku often uses. Uyoku's majority is chosenjin and burakumin, which are acutually the opposites of japanese conservative mainstream. Asao has made several controversial and provocative comments about chosen and buraku. Uyoku actually hates asao. So they are trying to make asao appear to have connection with uyoku , which ordinary japanese people hate. Or they are just tring to scare asao off. It's an implied intimidation. Maybe nonaka deployed uyoku. lol
>>877 You're right. Mr Aso's grandpa, who was a prime minister Shigeru Yoshida, was a Anglophile who hated Hitler and Nazism, and he was opposed to engage in warfare with US and UK. It is said that Mr Aso looks up to his grandpa. So Mr Aso is never a Uyoku.
I think that all non-virgins should be put into camps and gassed. I hate non-virgins. The Virgin Elite must band together, get a bulldozer, push all non-virgins into giant holes, pour gasoline on them, light a match, toss it in, and sip lemonade while they all burn alive. Then, just before they die, we pour the dirt back in. Not only does it effectively put out the fire, but they must now die while buried alive and screaming in pain from the burns.
>>874-875 Dah, I got tired from going through /r9k/ all night. You guys are pretty much right, it is a mediocre board. Topics there are random but not as hyper as /b/. Over all, it's a pretty good place to lurk every once in a while, I guess. Thanks for your inputs.
Residents in this thread are moderate, I'm sure. In threads associated with TOEIC, there are a lot of people who maintain their scores are 990 points. How disgusting! On the other hand, residents in this thread never say how they are skilled English learners.
THIS THREAD EQUALS DIARRHEA Wheere did all the foreigners go? There wwas a British hat asshole who was not an ass, an American nerd who some nerd thought lied about his life not sucking like a nerd, some cool guys from some cold ass countries, and some from somewhere called down under or something. And those stupid japanese that were always shouting something with caps lock? or posting very long ass boring sentences no one would read? Where did they go?
I love everybody, but nobody loves me back. This, in turn, leads me to reject and hate those around me. It is not the fault of me, but the fault of others for rejecting me. May they all burn in hell.
You really show that you love everybody and have something common with them. And I am afraid you are too short circuit of thinking. You should learn to think deep and wait enough.
John McCain won the debate so hard. Obama said McCain was right 7 times. McCain said Obama didn't understand 7 times. You'd be retarded to think McCain didn't have the upper hand in this one, regardless of whether or not you like/agree with him.
>>931 Saying someone "doesn't understand" is a very subjective statement and isn't backed up by anything. McCain made numerous factual errors which made him look quite frankly, ignorant.
>>934 Same poster, just adding something I forgot. Obama made errors as well to be sure, but I think you could hardly call the debates a clear victory for either side. That aside, I'm assuming Japan likes Obama more in general anyways?
I thought the debate was going to be cancelled at MaCain's request so didn't pay attention. It's nearly impossible to believe MaCain had an advantage. Where can I watch the whole show?
It asked America to rid American military of S.Korea, adn America said Ok, but now S.Korea condemns America for leaving. What the fuck are they thinking? A perfect moron?
He said "helping homeowners." I think he's referencing the recent economic disaster where people cannot pay back their loans and there are foreclosures all across the country.
heipless homeowners is rapidly inccrusing around the world. they have many loans for example car and home and credit card but when the salary reduce, they can't maintain their life style. it"s seriously their most important concerns how to pay the loans. watch out your wallet and bags. Be carefull!! people easily do a bit wrong things for the money. this theory depend on the people evil. be carefull your colleages, you have to reamin in mind. but must't talk about it. don't be too many luxury. And don't be miserable. Natural healthy image is the best. don't be upset in case the trouble happens. Be calm. i did the things that can be done by myself God bless you,
Wise you sometimes realize God seldom appear and do miracle. Now is the time. The truth make us free. sometimes in my life, people tell a lie and criticize. so i think they don't like me and don't keep up with. it's sad and sometiomes i feel that i myself are denied. They are the past.
>>957 Not that I can think of. Though, "Jap" being derogatory is debatable. Some seem to find it offensive while others don't. It doesn't stand out as a derogatory term to me unless it's obviously meant to be (for example, when some retard says "dumb Japs" or the like). Most westerners will have some trouble telling the difference between, for example, a Japanese person and a Korean or Chinese person (myself included). Therefore, those seeking to utilize a derogatory term to describe a Japanese person or otherwise, will use a generic one intended for all Asians. At least, this is what I hear most often (which is not often at all).
However, there are a couple derogatory terms commonly heard (at least here in the States) targeted at specific cultures, and often incorrectly used to refer to any Asian. The two most commonly used here for that are "Chink" and "gook." The prior term is (when correctly used) targeted at people of Chinese descent, and the latter term (I'm relatively sure) is targeted at people of Vietnamese descent (if this is not correct, someone please correct me).
As far as "Jap" goes, I believe that was more or less used in a derogatory manner primarily in the WWII era post-Pearl Harbor bombings. "Nip" may have entered common vernacular in the same era, but that I'm nowhere near sure of. I've rarely heard "Nip" used. Is this a play on "Nippon"?
Now I'm wondering how this varies in usage in other areas of the western world. I've never really given it any thought.
(If there are any spelling/grammatical mistakes in the above passage, I apologize. Quite tired and in a hurry, so I'm pushing through this post at a rather fast pace. I'd also appreciate the input of any other westerners' reading this concerning the subject!)
I'm Japanese and I know what you said about Jap. I'm not offended at all when it's just used as an abbrebiation and such. I'm totally aware that Jap isn't really considered offensive outside of Japan and Wapan.
I was just trying to write some insult to Japanese for fun, and I thought saying Jap or Nip wouldn't be very original at all, so I wanted to know something different and "cool". By the way, gook is targeted at Koreans, not Vietnamese.
>>982 >>983 The circle is close but you don't need the first "only": ○ A few Japanese are not only xenophobic(adjective), but are also racist(adjective). OR:○ A few Japanese are not only xenophobes(plural noun), but are also racists(plural noun). Do you understand?
