With both the Sun and Venus, the planet of money and relationship, joining your ruler Mercury in accenting existing commitments, your objectives and any professional obligations, you’re beginning a lengthy period of both review and exploration.
Others may be eager for decisions, but it’s for their convenience, not yours. Besides, with Mercury going retrograde early next week, the usual confusion and minor errors could prove remarkably revealing, particularly about your own misperceptions and others’ underhand manoeuvres.
So enjoy this week’s intriguing encounters and offers with the knowledge that, whatever the pressure you’re under, you need commit to nothing and to nobody.
Edwina and her brother just looked in on their way to the Grahams' dance―they only stayed a minute.
What an idiotic girl that is! Oh, sorry, Dickie―I was forgetting. You're rather keen on her, aren't you?
You would have had ample proof of that fact, Grace, if you had seen them in the attitude in which I found them last night.
We wer practising the Bunny Hug.
The what, dear?
It's like the Turkey Trot―only more dignified.
Oh, I thought that was the tango.
No. More like a Fox Trot, really. Something between a Boston Glide and a Kangaroo Hop.
We appear to be straying from the point. Whatever animal was responsible for the posture I found you in has little to do with the fact that to my certain knowledge you have not yet done one single stroke of work so far this vacation.
Train Travel After the game, the Phillies head for a seven-game road trip that starts in Washington, DC, and ends up in Texas, Houston to be specific. We get our first look at Nationals Park the next three nights and then wrap-up the trip against the hot Astros in Minute Maid Park.
Getting to D. C. this evening will be via a train. Normally, the Phillies fly charter aircrafts but this time it will be an AMTRAK four-car charter train. Charlie Manuel, his coaches and the GM sit in first class on airplanes. This time, the first car behind the engine will be reserved for the same traveling party.
Departure is scheduled for 5:30 from 30th Street Station with arrival at Washington-Union Station around 7:15 p.m. Cost for the charter train: $17,716. Posted throughout the clubhouse area is the train dress code: slacks and collard shirts; no jeans. Personal luggage for the traveling party will leave during the game and await everyone at the hotel. Equipment luggage will be on a second truck, leaving after the game and going directly to Nationals Park.
So After yesterday’s game in Dunedin, a couple of players were needling Jimmy Rollins in the clubhouse with “J-Roll”, “J-Roll”, “J-Roll”. T he emphasis shifted to “So-what”, “So-what”, “So-what”, aimed at So Taguchi, the Japanese outfielder.
Taguchi jumped right in, “So!” Taguchi has a great sense of humor and a quick smile. Ken Mandel did a great story on this site about language in baseball, including some funny Taguchi stories.
A large contingent of Japanese media was here today. After the rain-shortened game, Taguchi spent time in the in-door batting cages. One of the TV crews presented Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins with given a couple T-shirts from the Hiroshima Toyo Carp baseball team. Ryan asked, “For winning the MVP”? The Japanese female reporter laughed and said, “For winning arbitration.” 広島のシャツをもらって喜ぶハワードとJロール
Certainly plugging Desi directly into My Favorite Husband would have been ridiculous. That show concerned the misadventures of George and Liz Cooper,a genial banker and his dizzy wife in Minneapolis. The plots were basic wife-gets-into-scrapes stuff; Liz becomes fascinated by fortune-telling and organizes a silly seance; Liz tries to play matchmaker for a couple of friends and almost ruins things for them; George tries to put Liz on a schedule, but she overdoes it to teach him a lesson. They were all played out against a background of middle-class midwestern gentility. In such a context Arnaz's broad,loud,Cuban-accented delivery would have been more than a bit bizarre.

Here in germany we have only few celebrations on spring. On the 1. of may in nearly every little city there is one thing like "maibaum". It´s a little needle tree, that is sticked on a big bole and decorated with colourful ribbons. In ancient times people saw this as a sacrifice for a good summer with a rich crop. The children may play tricks on the people in the night to the first of may. E.g. they put toilet paper around the cars or make toothpaste under the handle of the doors.Do You want to read more about the traditions? What are You interested in?
I really had only good expereriences with these kindly and friendly people.I never met unfriendly or aggressive behaviour in Japan -how can You explain that?It would be very interesting to me... Are the japanese people only friendly to strangers or every time to each others, too?! That would be: whow!!

Since time immemorial, the brilliance and diversity of the night sky have stirred deep longing and fascination in the human soul. How many thoughts and dreams of people of all times can be found up there? One glance and we are lost in the eternity of space. Like in a vortex, our spirit is elevated to higher ground, and we get an idea of how small humanity is, and how huge the universe. In Sidus (fixed star), we set out on a journey and let ourselves ascend into this eternity. The further we travel, entering new worlds, the further we drift from our own SELF, from our problems and worries. Finally, we find ourselves back at the starting point of our journey, where we are enchanted by a shower of shooting stars. Purified and strengthened by this magic, we experience the beauty of our existence as a unique joyous gift.

In the Tokugawa period(1600-1868)Japan's official governmental policy was one of nearly complete isolation:for about 250 years japan turned mostly inward, a feudal society more or less unto itself. Its ancien imperial household languished without political power in Kyoto, the cultural and spiritual center located in the western region of the main island. The locus of political and economic power was the burgeoning city of Edo in the east, home of the ruling Tokugasa family with the shogun at its head.As a result of the isolation,European musiv was almost entirely extinguished.

One of the most dangerous drugs for pregnant women to consume is alcohol.Because alcohol is delivered quickly into the blood and passes quickly into the tissues and membranes, the human fetus is particularly vulnerable to its effects. In fact, the negative effects on a fetus are so pronounced that babies born after exposure to alcohol are said to be suffering from fetal alcohol syndrome. お願いします
Research has shown that femailes learn to talk earlier than males, that females are less likely to be dyslexie, that they do more talking , and that they generally have superior verbal ability. These linguistic skills seem to refrect the importance that women attach to socialization. These social skills explain why women are generally better at foreign language learning than men. Women like to establish social contacts with the speakers of the target language. In the case of “international” marriages, it is usually the wife who learns the husband’s language rather than vice versa. Far too often, however, the children born from such marriages do not learn their mother’s native language.
But what is that I hear? a sound Like sleepy counsel pleading; O Lord! -- 'tis in my neighbor's ground, The modern Muses reading. They read Botanic Treatises, And Works on Gardening thro' there, And Methods of transplanting trees To look as if they grew there.
The wither'd Misses! how they prose O'er books of travell'd seamen, And show you slips of all that grows From England to Van Diemen. They read in arbors clipt and cut, And alleys, faded places, By squares of tropic summer shut And warm'd in crystal cases.
But these, tho' fed with careful dirt, Are neither green nor sappy; Half-conscious of the garden-squirt, The spindlings look unhappy. Better to me the meanest weed That blows upon its mountain, The vilest herb that runs to seed Beside its native fountain.
As a pregnant woman drinks alcohol, the alcohol is passed into her bloodstream almost simultaneously. Moreover, because the bloodstream of the fetus is inextricably tied to that of mother, alcohol passes directly into the bloodstream of the fetus as well. And, what is more, the concentration of alcohol in the fetus is exactly the same as in the mother.
For the mother, this concentration is not a problem because her liver can remove one ounce of alcohol her system per hour. However, the fetus’s liver is not completely developed (how developed it is depends on its stage of development). The rate at which it is able to eliminate the alcohol from the blood of the fetus is much slower. Eventually, the alcohol will be returned to the mother’s system by system by passing across the placenta, but this process is slow. By the time this takes place, major neurological damage may have already occurred. Research has shown that as little as one drink of alcohol can produce significant, irreversible damage to the fetus. 上の続きです。お願いします
Opinions are mixed among educators over whether there is adequate data to prove that the academic abilities of students have fallen since the introduction of the new education system. One of the team, Prof. Toshio Sawada of Tokyo University of Science, said he was surprised to learn the scholastic abilities of primary school students had fallen so low. He added that students did not seem to be required to do the same question repeatedly until they get it right. He said that the public should take deteriorating academic standards among primary school students as a wake-up call and that it would be counterproductive to lessen the contents of their textbooks.

I sing Japanese doyo here in Japan and I have always been aware of its healing qualities. Because the music is taught during childhood, singing the songs can speak memories long forgotten and bring out the inner child in people who have long forgotten and bring out the inner child in people who have long since stopped listening to their inner voice. The children's songs are stored deepest in people's hearts and that is the place that one has to reach into before being really healed. Just this year I had a healing experience while I was visiting Mexico. I met a "vibrational healer" named Yemi Jones. Although I had doubts about people who could really heal others, I opened my heart to her and let her do her healing work. In the course of two hours, I shook, shivered, barked like a dog, cried, and then, like a miracle, my childhood voice came out, begging my father to please not hit my mother. This I learned was a child hood trauma that could be released through the process of healing. These traumas can shape our lives, so it's important to heal them. when the healing session finished I exclaimed, "Who are you? What did you do to me?" Yemi replied, #You healed yourself. We all have the power to heal. We simply forgot it." Healing can be a diving trip to Saipan, a walk through the park, helping a stranger, quitting smoking, or an aromatherapy session. There are so many ways in Japan to heal yourseld on a daily basis, but it is you who must make the choice to open your heart to the power of healing.
We never become more visible or meaningful than help someone else. What we do, after all, is a tangible statement about who we are, what we value and how we feel about ourselves and our world. Author Helen Colton says the way to find what we can best do is to ask ourselves what we can best do is ask ourselves what we love or hate with a passion and then do something about it. The world is in great need of helpers. We who inhibit it cannot survive without them. Our growth and our survival depend upon our willingness to give to each other. It's a wellworn adage, but nonetheless true, that “love isn't love until it is given away.” Until its manifested through some caring act, love is nothing more than a very good idea-only an idea, a simple word, a notion in the abstract.
Whether the opening diameter and the neck height are large or small makes a difference. As a simple method to express the combined effects of such differences on the selectivity of many types of pots, we introduce a dimensionless number, (h/d), where h/d is the ratio of the neck height above the base, h, to the opening diameter, d. Date from all tests are given in Fig.2, where the value of A are plotted against the value of (h/d). The different marks show the corresponding value at different opening diameter d; 12mm , 15mm and 18mm. The results are distributed in three clusters that is for d =12mm, for d =15mm, and for d=18mm. The a values tend to increase (h/d) increased, which means that parameters h and d affects the number of individuals escaped. There is an inflection point in each case. This point corresponds to the pot with flat type funnel. When the pot has a convex shaped funnel, the value of a rapidly increases. It is reasonable to assume that the interior shape of a pot considerably affects the escape behavior individuals. This is further evidence that the design features of the funnel are important factor affecting the escape of prawns from the pots It is ,however, difficult to find how the design affects the size distribution of prawns escaped.
Usually, the number of individuals escaped is closely related with its size distribution. We now consider a relationship between the value of a and the prawn’s size escaped. The evidence indicates, however, that the funnel selectivity is low.
First, to make clear the differences in the size distribution of each pot, here, we employed the value of BL as an index to evaluate the combined effects of escape number numbers and funnel feature on the characteristics of size distribution for each pot. BL is the mean value one third of all the samples arranged in descending order of samples (Here, to simplify the calculation, we use the class marks).
Fig.3 shows the relationship found between the mean value of A and the value of BL. One easily finds the increasing trend in the value of BL with the increase in the value of A. This means that the value of BL is characterized by the number of individuals escaped.
In this case, as can be seen from the figure, although the BL value tend to increase as (h/d) increased, the date obtained are arranged into two group according to the diameter opening. The first group is over 12mm, and the second group was at 12mm. It is, however, the design feature of funnel that affects the body size of individuals escaped.
In case of D = 12mm, it is probable that the effect of small neck diameter on the value of BL may apper strongly on the results comparing with the other cases. This is another evidence that the fertures of the funnel design are important factor affecting the escape of prawns from the pots. It is , however, difficult to find how the design affects the selection process of entrance for a target species. The effect of number of individuals entrapped in a pot; such as the interaction between individuals and the size distribution on the selectivity of pots must be taken into account during future analysis.
Furthermore, the extent to which the BL value as an index of the selectivity of prawn pots can be examined in additional tests.

Experimental and acquired zinc deficiency produces taste impairments. An intial obseration of a potential ameliorating effect on taste disorders for oral zinc was documented by Henkin and Bradley in a case report in 1970. They also reported that oral zinc was more effective than a placebo for improving hypogeusia. There have been a lot of papers that describes taste disorders due to zinc deficiency Until now, however, it has been controversial whether or not zinc is involved biochemically at the receptor level in the taste buds. Carbonic anhydrase(CA) is a zinc metalloenzyme with a high turnover that catalyzes the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide and is involved in the control of irons, fluid, and acid-base balance in various tissues. It appears that CA is involved in gustation because dysgeusia has been reported as a side effect by patients undergoing therapy with CA inhibitors for glaucoma and high-altitude sickness. After the treatmenr, they could not sense carbonation irritation due to dissolved CO2 in the case of acute treatment and many people treated it choronically could notsense basic tasete in addition to carbonated water In the mouth, carbonated solutions produce sensations of tingling, prickling, and burning. While much of this can be accounted for by the contoribution of trigeminal innervation to these areas, gustatory nerve input may also be an important component of the total sensation. We have reported that the reception of carbonated water(dissolved CO2) through the chorda tympani (gustatory) and lingual trigeminal nerves needs the paeticipation of CA. Therefore the present study was designed to clariy the effect of zinc deficiency on sodium chloride preference as an index of taste abnormality, the lingual trigemina and gustatory nerves transduction, and the CA activity of the tongue surface area and salivaly gland.

Many of us who grew up watching television in the 1960s and '70s have fond if vague memories of "Speed Racer." Those big-eyed characters (Trixie! Speed! Racer X!), their mouths never quite moving in sync with the dialogue; those bright colors and semiabstract backgrounds; those endless, episodic story lines. Whether we knew it or not, the series was a primer in the aesthetics of Japanese animation, the love of which we could later pass along to our children.
True, many of the symbols of that identity may be a particular mix of marketing emblems, sentimental stereotypes and historical distortions and some scots dislike their stranglehold on the tourist industry. But, love it or loathe it, the kilt wrapped around the Scottish identity has become a kind of corporate logo, representing not only the people of the Highland and Islands but the Lowland kin; and it is possible to argue that tartan has played its part in reinforcing that idea of nationfood which led in 1999 to the recovery of the Scottish Parliament, nearly 300 years after it was lost to the Act of Unions with England. お願いします!

The language of cosmetic products such as lipstick, hairdye and nail vanish aimed at women often suggests a very traditional femininity , with ideas of delicacy and subtlety ('hint of a tint'), virginity and innocence('peach blush') or the setting of popular romance novels, with their dreamy sunsets and pale heroines('desert haze','white rose'). While face make up is still exclusively targeted at women consumers, other cosmetic products (such as deodorants, fragrances) often have a male range as well as female one. In these cases, it is interesting to see how the male product differs from the female one in how it is named and described. Sometimes, what is effectively exactly the same product is described very differently, to construct a distinctively different picture of the narratee(the person supposedly adressed by text). 長文ですみません。よろしくお願いします

1) Of all the heroes in the sporting world, none is greator than Muhammad Ali. "I am the greatest!"he told us regularly. And he was. Not only the greatest boxer, but also the greatest talker. He descrived his boxing style as,"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." Ail was born in Kentuckey in 1942,and named Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. He grew up in a poor neighbourhood, but his parents raised him to be honest and hard-working,and he spent his teens at a gym, larning how to box. At the age of 18,he won the Olympic gold medal, then turned professional, winning his first.By 22,he was the heavyweight champion of the world, and soon after this,he changed his name when he converted to Islam. "I'm free to be what I want,"he told the world.
2) Ail became famous for his boxing, but there was more to him. He spoke out about racial problems in America and refused to fight in the Vietnam War. The boxing authorities subsequenty took away his title. He is remembered as the greatest all over the world, from Alaska to Zaire, where sixty thousand fans at his fight with George Foreman shouted"Ail,bomaye!"whibh means,"Ail,kill him!"
3) Boxing fans thought they would never see another fighter like Ali,but they were wrong. There is another who is not only like Ali,but who has his skills in her genes. Laila Ali is his daughter, and a world-champion boxer. She look like him, fights like him,and even talks like him.
4) She was going to study at the University of Southern California Business School when she first watched a women's boxing match on television. She cancelled her plans to study and went to the gym instead. In 1999,she won her first match in 31 seconds. Most of the subsequent 18 matches haven't taken much longer. Laila admires and looks up to her father, but she says,"I want to be the best. The name isn't going to do it for me." No one has beaten her yet.

During the nineteenth century,a large number of the Irish who emigrated to America left from Derry. Many old pubs still exist in Derry bearing the names of towns of the neighbouring county of Donegal. Countless thousands of Donegal emigrants are said to have waited in the pub named after their hometown, savouring a last whiskey before bidding farewell forever to their native land. During World War U,Derry became a major base for American trops, planes and ships. Most of the convoys which carried vital food, fuel and military equipment across the Atlantic to Britain arrived in Derry,if they escaped destruction by the U-Boats of Hitler′s navy. お願い致します。

以下の英文を定期テストがあるので、直訳でお願いします! 長文ですが、お願いします>< Scientists are discovering that plants and animals have a vital role in maintaining the environment they need in order to survive. In photosynthesis, for example, plants absorb carbon dioxide and give out oxygen, which animals need in order to breath. Just by living, therefore, plants and animals control the balance of gases in the atmosphere on which life depends. These gases also allow the natural greenhouse effect to keep temperatures in the range needed by living things. Living things have other effects on the environment. Transpiration from leaves maintains moisture in the air, while dead plants help make the soil. Nutrients are constantly stirred up by soil animals and spread over the soil’s surface by animals in their droppings. Just as a household thermostat switches on a heater when it gets too cold, these natural processes allow small balancing actions that maintain the conditions for life on Earth. Scientists think there might be an even more remarkable control mechanism. They believe that tiny algae in the sea may help to regulate temperatures at sea and on land. The algae produce gas called dimethyl sulphide, which rises into the atmosphere and reacts with sunlight to form tiny particles. These particles absorb moisture, creating small water droplets. When there are many of these water droplets in clouds, the clouds become whiter and reflect more sunlight back into space. Scientists think this link between algae and clouds might act as a sensitive temperature regulator for the planet. If lots of water droplets form in the will fall slightly. But at this lower temperature the algae produce less dimethyl sulphide, so fewer water droplets form in the atmosphere. This allows more sunlight through the clouds, raising the sea temperature and restoring the balance.
The yen carry trade has not only survived the past nine months of financial market mayhem, but the decade-old investment strategy looks set to stay for many years to come thanks to its most ardent devotees -- Japanese investors.
However, with European,British, and also American presence ever more insistent as the system of global colonialism threatend the independence of more and more of the world's people, isolation became increasingly difficult to sustain. On the evening of 8 July 1853 Captain Matthew Perry, commander in chief of the U.S. naval forces stationed in the East India,China, and Japan Seas, sailed into the entrance to Tokyo Bay,less than a day's sail from Edo itself.Japanese guard boats teemed around the American flotilla, its lead boat bearing a standeard that read in French:"Departez!" "Depart immediately and dare not anchor!" Every crew member on the American ships knew that,in the past, uninvited visitors to Japan had often been jailed, tortured,or decapitated. This time, however, the goverment was too weak to frighten the foreigners away, and the West had come to stay.
Anja Spasojevic will not play in Tokyo at the Olympic Qualifications. According to Terzic, the two of them can't communicate very well and it's "too soon for Anja to come back". Anja says she hasn't spoken to Terzic for a long time and doesn't know what the problem is. All I can say is It's SO annoying they don't want to openly say what's going on. That just opens up space for rumours about the situation. For example, people now say that Nikolic doesn't like Anja and doesn't want her to be on the team. Others say that the whole team is against Anja because she was acting like a drama queen before and during the EC. I don't believe those things are true, but I really wish they just solve whatever problem they have
Yeah...I though really weird to see Anja out...specially cause I thought they have already solved their problems... and also cause Krsmanovic is back!!!I mean...if he had problems with them both...why he just called one of them?? Well...on an interview that I saw with Nikolic last year...she looked like didn't understand why Spasojevic was out... so I don't think she has a problem against her...cause she couldn't understand her missing.... and also talking to Ognjenovic once...she told me she didn't know why Anja was out...so I don't think the problem is the group!!! Maybe is on Terzic's mind...the problem...But I hope the team be able to qualify...and later that Spasojevic and Terzic has a conversation... so she can go to the Olympic games!!!!
Anja Spasojevic definitely won't be playing at the Olympic Games, if Serbia qualifies. She said it herself at a press conference, even though playing at the OG is her biggest desire it's not possible at the moment. According to her the problems with Terzic started after the EC last year when she played injured and out of shape, and she asked Terzic not to be selected for the WC in Japan, but he selected her anyway and after she pulled out people started accusing her of being selfish, ruining the atmosphere on the team, etc. She was told that Terzic expects her to call him and apologize, but she's not going to do it as she doesn't think she's done anything wrong. So I guess this means we won't see Anja on NT as long as Terzic is in charge

In fact, japan had been experiencing considerable internalturmoil,as regional clan leaders sought to secure their pleaces in whatever structure would emerge from efforts to dislodge the Tokugawa clan.It was clear that the military dictatorship and the oppressive social hierarchy it tried to maintain were no longer hunctioning to keep peace within the country and manage affairs with external powers. The shogunate made some kind of fresh internal structure and cohesion, there was a real possibility that japan would become yet another colonized area.Choices were in the air.
“You-two minutes in the box!” I looked up. He was pointing at me. Me? What had I done to deserve a penalty? “Come on,ref, what′d I do?” Some how he wasn′t intersted in further dialogue. When she enters room, you can almost see fireworks.Exuberance and excitement encompasses her entire being. she is not a large person.she only stands at a height of four foot ten in her stoking feet. this incredible matriarch of my family is someone I simply call grandma. Her outstanding persona leaves me almost speechless. This personality of hers stands out from others in a crowd and is obvious in the clothes she wears.
she is never alone long, becouse she befriends anyone. She also has incredible sense of humor. It is not the kind of joke-funny humor, but instead, she is witty. At the condo where she lives, if there is ever a table where everyone is laughing, you can be sure my grandma is at the root of it. Her persona emits an aura of sparkling festivety.
My grandma is also an extremely expressive person. she express herself foremost by the way she looks. she has alarmingly bright red hair that can always catch an eye. Her outfits are like a ball of sunshine after a rainstorm. furthermore my grandma always wears the biggest pies of jewelry she can find. sometimes she even gets stopped sometimes in the mall to be complimented on her outrageous ways and mien.
People should be judged not "by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." With this in mind, Martin Luther King, Jr.played several roles in fighting against prejudice in the United States. First, he was a pastor in a church. He disliked violence and taught his congregation that they would win the war against prejudice with love, not hate. Besides being a pastor, he was also a speaker. His "I Have a Dream" speech is still considered one of the best speeches of the twentieth century. In addition, he was a group leader. He traveled throughout the South helping African, D.C. King said that he wanted to chenge the United States and, in many ways, he succeeded. As a result, many Americans consider him a great leader.
Even an eye scan may not protect against identity theft these days. Security experts at U.S government agencies as well as banks and credit Card companies are worried that biometric data such as retina patterns, fingerprints, and even earlobe mapping can be stolen from electronic files and used to commit fraud. The idea behind biometrics is that such personal characteristics can be Used as identity “keys”that provide access to financial accounts, or access to sensitive facilities. Among other things, biometric markers are more secure than password, since they’re unique to every individual and don’t have to to be memorized or written down. But to log in to computer account or gain access to building by offering your eye or thumb to be scanned, that biometric information needs to have been stored in electronic files that computer against .And the recent theft of thousands of Social Security numbers and other bits of personal information from company dossiers- and even the U.S Air Force-has raised fears that biometric data might be just as (本文から単語抜き出す) vulnerable. お願いします!

Furthermore, water transports nourishment around the planet in the same way as blood transports nourishment in the lizard’s body. The planet therefore behaves almost as if it is a living thing. The scientist James Lovelock has called this ‘living planet’ Gaia, after the Greek goddess Mother Earth. This ‘Gaia Hypothesis’ is not meant to be a complete truth. But it does help us think about how we should treat the Earth. We are part of Gaia, like all animals and planets. The Gaia Hypothesis reminds us that if we damage the planet, we also damage ourselves. We will need to change our ways of life to make travel less essential. When fixing the price for products, we will need to add on the true cost of cleaning up the pollution caused in their manufacture and disposing of them safely afterward. We will need to use natural fertilizers instead of energy-expensive chemicals. We will need to replace poisons with natural ways of controlling pests, and remember that they only become pests because we create unnatural conditions in which they can flourish. Most importantly of all, we will need to consider how many human beings the planet can support. The population is increasing fastest in the poorest countries. There, a large family means security for the future. We will only limit population growth if we overcome the problems of poverty and unjust working conditions that make people want a large family.
They have done little to tackle the major problems affecting our planet, such as the greenhouse effect or the spread of deserts. If humans are to survive, we need to protect the natural wealth that makes our lifestyle possible. たて続けにすみません。 この英文も直訳でお願いします。 We must look into the future, not just for a few years but for thousands of years, and use the knowledge of ecology to ensure that our actions are not damaging. That will mean great changes in the way we live, especially in industrial countries. We will need to recycle more natural resources and waste far less. To reduce pollution and protect limited supplies of coal and oil, we will need to use cleaner sources of energy.

お願いします! During the last two decades, Japanese society has been subjected to unparalleled social changes. At the same times, Japan has not been the victim of war, revolution, or severe political shifts in this period, with the result that many observers fails to recogonize these changes as crucial. There is no doubt, however, that the changes of which I speak represent a drastic impact on our society. If one reflects on the degree to which our lifestyle, technology and social generation has passed. Among these changes, the rapid development of the information media and their increasing influence is particularly remarkable .Only ten years ago, few ordinary Japanese could imagine that computers would become as influential in daily life as they are today. Today, even employment information is delivered through the Internet, and most university staff have begun to feel that they will not survive without introducing computer systems. More and more educational programs and research planed have come to presuppose the use of computers. At the same time, the “consciousness gap” between those who use computers as daily tools and those who refuse to use them has become even together than the generation gap.

Unfortunately, what was amusing soon became upsetting. For example, I noticed most people who purchased drinks from machines did not dispose of their cans or bottles properly. Also, I couldn't understand why vending machines were often in front of convenience stores which sold the same items. The machines were even placed next to apartment buildings where their bright lights and humming noise could easily disturb sleeping people. Of course, vending machines are not found only in Japan. And some truly do offer convenience, like selling stamps or phone cards. These machines, though, aren't power-hungry monsters that use blazing lights to advertise their goods. Still, I think Japan has too many vending machines. But when people complain, the vending machine companies protest that they could not survive without them. What's the answer? ↓続きます。。。
To me, we must first respect the land we live on. I suggest we stop trying to fill every empty space in Japan with vending machines. Companies could create healthy, environmentally safe products which could be sold just as easily in convenience stores. Vending machines could be restricted to places such as large train or subway stations, serving the constant flow of people. The machines do not belong in beautiful parks or forests. We live in an age where convenience is all important. If we can have something "now," it's "better," right? But perhaps we should consider the energy wasted, the scenery destroyed and the environment harmed by having so many "convenient" products that might "refresh" us, but otherwise have little value. it's a hard question to answer, but are vending machines really necessary? ------------------------------------------------------------------ 1)Although the author writes "Vending machines are great, aren't they?", he thinks that vending machines are not great for him. 2)The author now thinks that vending machines selling hundreds of drinks are essential for Japan. 3)The author recommends companies in Japan to set up vending machines in beautiful parks or forests for our convenience. 4)The author does not think that vending machines in front of convenience stores selling the same items are cery helpful. 5)The author thinks we should not destroy beautiful scenery and harm the environment by so-called convenient vending machines. 長くて申し訳ないです。。。 宜しくお願いいたします。
Tokyo stocks rose Monday, reversing early losses in the morning due to Friday's Wall Street plunge and surging crude oil prices, as investor sentiment was lifted by a stronger U.S. dollar against the yen. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 88.02 points, or 0.64 percent, from Friday to 13,743.36. The broader TOPIX index of all First Section issues was up 1.03 points, or 0.08 percent, to 1,342.79. Gains were led by consumer finance, food and pharmaceutical issues. Major decliners included iron and steel, as well as securities issues.

If one reflects on the degree to which our lifestyle, technology and social environment have changed in just the last five years, it sometimes feelslike an entire generation has passed.
A graceful exit is never easy in a business as fraught with ego and ambition as presidential politics. Which is why in recent days, quiet calls have started going out to key supporters of Hillary Clinton who are showing signs of wanting to jump ship. Clinton's emissaries point out that she is no longer attacking BarackObama, and they promise she won't start again.
Allow her to ride out the last few primaries, they argue, and she won't do anything to make it difficult for her longtime allies to switch their allegiances when the time comes. The latest round of calls was a tacit admission that while the battles aren't over, the war has been lost. It also raises the question, What will Clinton's terms of surrender turn out to be? Her husband, for one, seems to have a pretty clear idea what he thinks she should get as a consolation prize . In Bill Clinton's view, she has earned nothing short of an offer to be Obama's running mate, according to some who are close to the former President. Bill"is pushing real hard for this to happen," says a friend. Hillary is more opaque about what she might want, divulging little even to those who see and talk to her every day. "It's as plain as the nose on your face that this whole thing has shifted to a different mode," says a top Clinton strategist. "But I don't know what she wants. I don't know what she's thinking."

すみませんお願いいたします。 Many people look at a modern sculpture and mutter "That sure ain't art." ― but at least they have a personal idea of what is and is not art. But take them into an archeological museum and show them a small carved stone, and ask them if it is art or not. They would probably hesitate and finally make a decision on the basis of some feeling about the piece, or a principle learned years ago in school which might be applicable to the question. This is a problem for most people when viewing prehistoric art. On the other hand, they can look at cave paintings and go into raptures about how beautiful it is.
Another problem is how to speak about time periods that are immense, beyond our normal conceptions of time. We have a good grasp of a century, and some feel for a millennium. It has been two millennia since Christ. Two millennia is 20 centuries. When one talks about the history of man or when man started to create art, the numbers in years get too big to be comprehensible. This museum uses the convention of expressing things that happened before Christ in number of centuries before Christ. So 40c, is 4,000 BC. That is, 40c is about 6,000 years ago.
Art is symbolic communication practiced by humans. But this definition is too broad since that would include all language. And intuitively one senses that not all language is art. But if we want to talk about art, especially primitive art, we need to defined it somehow. So let's assume that in addition to being symbolic communication, to be art must provide communication beyond the ordinary level of discourse and use. This means that a laundry list, or accounting records are not art even if they find themselves in a museum display. But a novel or a wall painting probably is. The visual arts then excludes music (an auditory art), novels (a literary art), and dancing (a performance art).
>>376 IF you agree with the deal and pay it now then I can ship it to you now And hope that you can receive it before next week end.

The Annotated Code represents a level of governance to which all small mutual insurers should aspire as they grow. Nevertheless the Myners Report clearly recognized that a less onerous regime was appropriate for smaller mutuals where financial and human resource will be limiting factors in the application of the Annotated Code. Recommendation 7 of the Myners Report reads:
"The AFS, working with the AMI, should produce more detailed guidance on the interpretation and application of the annotated combined code for small friendly societies."
Accordingly, we have developed guidelines this indicate which elements of Annotated Code might be considered onerous for small mutual insurers and may therefore be excluded from the' comply or explain' regime. We still believe, however, that, small mutual insurers should make every effort to comply with the Annotated Code above and beyond this 'minimum 'whenever and wherever practical.
Although correspondence of outcomes may eliminate the basis for realistic group conflict, it leaves room for what Goffman(1967) called “character contests” (p.239)― disputes in which relative standing and honor are “brought into play as something to be lost and gained” (p.244). Such disputes have been identified as important antecedents to criminal homicide (Luckenbill, 1977) and assault (Deibert & Miethe. 2003), and history leaves little doubt that they also play an important role in the genesis of large-scale armed conflicts (Rosecrance, 1963). The present research, then, had several objectives. First, we sought to examine the extent to which intergroup cooperation in the domain of correspondent outcomes is obstructed by concern for relative in-group standing and to compare intergroup interactions in this domain with interindividual interactions. To address this objective, in Experiment 1 we contrasted interindividual and intergroup interactions in the context of the four matrix games presented in Figure 1. These “four archetypes of the 2×2 game” (Rapoport, 1967,p.81) are commonly referred to as the Prisoner’s Dilemma Game (PDG), Chicken,Leader, and Battle of the Sexes(BOS). As we show, whereas the PDG represents the domain of noncorrespondent outcomes, Chicken, Leader, and BOS represent the domain of correspondent outcomes. Research on interindividual-intergroup discontinuity has found that, in the PDG context, intergroup relations are often more competitive than are interindividual relations (Wildschut, Pinter, Vevea, Insko & Schopler, 2003). The domain of correspondent outcomes, however, remains virtually uncharted.
The second objective was to compare the perceived categorization of interacting players in noncorrespondent domains with correspondent domains (S.L.Gaertner et al.,1999) and to examine whether, in the correspondent domain, sets of interacting individuals even perceive themselves as members of two distinct groups. The third objective was to test an implication of the doctrine of mutual assured destruction (MAD) that intergroup cooperation in the domain of correspondent outcomes may be increased when mutual competition results in very low mutual outcomes. Specifically, we were interested in whether such an increase in intergroup cooperation could eliminate the discontinuity effect in a matrix in which mutual competition is associated with very low mutual outcomes. To examine this question, in Experiment 2 we contrasted interindividual and intergroup interactions in the context of two different versions of the Chicken matrix that varied the outcomes associated with mutual competition.
Interindividual-Intergroup Discontinuity and Relativistic Concern
Research on interindividual-intergroup discontinuity has examined what differences between interindividual and intergoup relations can account for the relative intractability of intergroup relations (Wildschut et al., 2003). The majority in the context of the PDG and established that intergroup interactions are often more competitive than are interindividual interactions (the discontinuity effect). In a recent meta-analytic review, Wildschut et al. (2003) found the discontinuity effect to be substantially large and robust. Five explanations for the discontinuity effect have received empirical support. First, the social-support hypothesis proposes that, unlike separate individuals, group members can provide mutual social support for a competitive choice (Insko, Schopler, Hoyle, Dardis, & Graetz, 1990; Schopler er al., 1993; Wildschut, Insko, & Gartner, 2002). Second, the identifiability hypothesis proposes that the group context provides a shield of anonymity, allowing group members to avoid personal responsibility for a selfish-competitive choice (Schopler et al., 1995). Third, the fear hypothesis proposes that the actual or anticipated interaction with a group activates learned beliefs and expectations that other groups are untrustworthy, deceitful, and competitive (Insko, & Schopler, 1998; Pemberton, Insko, & Schopler, 1996; Wildxchut, Insko, & Pinter, 2004). Fourth, the in-group-favoring-noum hypothesis proposes that membership in a group implines normative pressure to act so as to benefit the in-group (Wildschut et al., 2002). Finally, the altruistic-rationalization hypothesis proposes that group members can rationalize their self-benefiting competitiveness as flowing from a concern for benefiting in-group members(Pinter et al., 2007).
pets are good for our mental health as well as our physical health. A doctor says, "Having to keep one jump ahead of a smart canine companion will keep the owner alert and exrcise his or her mind."
Talking to your pet can help calm you down and relieve any worries you may have. Pets can also make better companions and are more reliable than people; for example, a pet is a constant companion who,if you treat it well, will give back the affection that you give to it in a clear way, which is something that cannot always be expected from human relationships.
In fact, dogs are such good friends that in a recent report a good many elderly people felt that dogs were better friends than humans ───perhaps this is a comment on our attitude toward our pld people.
Most of Scotland’s five and a half million people live in the central belt, or Central Lowlands, between and around Glasgow and Edinburgh; the infrastructure of its modern economy is concentrate there, or dispersed to the east-coast cities of Dundee and Aberdeen, which means the change lies lightly on the rest country. Two or three hours’ drive from the central belt brings you under the thrall of the West Highland seaboard and timeless spell of the Hebrides. The Border hills, with their quiet corners, secretive waters and medieval strongholds are even closer, while each of Scotland’s great estuaries-Clyde, Forth and Tay –are gateways from their part cities to an alluring rural hinterland. お願いします!地名は英語のままで大丈夫です。
420ですが、皆様の善意に縋って続きを投稿させていただきます。 The Annotated Code contains main and supporting principles. These small mutual insurer guidelines do not alter the principles of the Code but indicate some provisions which small mutual insurers may choose not to apply. Small mutual insurers should apply all of the principles and report on them in the same way as other mutual insurers. Supporting notes have been included at the end of this guidance designed to indicate, where there are particular issues for small mutual insurers in achieving compliance, which aspects they should focus on.
420です。 Where there are particular issues for small mutual insurers, we believe they should focus on the following aspects of principles: A.3: We do not consider the independence criteria set out in the Annotated Code prevent non-executive directors who are members of a mutual insurer from being determined as independent, unless the policy holdings giving rise to that membership are considered to be material in the context of the director's relationship with the mutual insurer.
A.4: Small mutual insurers might choose to apply these principles by ensuring that the requirements in the provisions describing the activities of nomination committees are instead carried out by the board. Attention should be focused on ensuring there is a formal procedure for the appointment of new directors in place rather than establishing a separate nomination committee.
420です。 A.5: Directors should receive some form of induction on appointment but given small mutual insurers can choose not to comply with provision A.5.1 this induction needs not be "full, formal, and tailored".
A.6: The board of a small mutual insurer should carry out some from of performance evaluation which could take the performance evaluation guidance in section 6.3.2 of the guidance on monitoring and reporting. As a minimum therefore, performance evaluation should focus on the performance of the board.
B.2: Small mutual insurers might choose to apply this principle by ensuring that the requirements in the provisions describing the activities of remuneration committees are instead carried out by the board. Attention should be focused on ensuring there is a formal procedure for fixing remuneration rather than establishing a separate remuneration committee with care being taken to recognize and avoid conflicts of interest.
C.3: Small mutual insurers might choose to apply this principle by ensuring that the requirements in the provisions describing the activities of audit committees are instead carried out by the board as far as possible. Attention should be focused on ensuring the integrity of financial statements and reviewing the firm's internal financial controls.
Scotland is a visual feast, which is why photographs serve its landscape more effectively than words. This book has been organised to help you find your way to its most rewarding features. You will not necessarily follow all or even most of its signposts, but the themes of each chapter –cities, rivers and their hinterland, seaboard, islands and Highland highlights -will give some idea of character and diversity of this ‘ beautiful and admirable little country’.
Developing diabetes and other lifestyle-related diseases is no joke, but university researchers have come up with a unique exercise that involves massaging the facial muscles through laughter to help relieve stress and prevent illness. Some local governments have introduced "the laughing-muscle exercise" developed by Keiko Hayashi, an associate professor at the University of Tsukuba, to promote public health. Information entering through the eyes and ears is processed in the cerebral limbic system, which lies at the back of the cerebrum and controls feelings. "When information that you feel good goes to the neural circuit, pleasure substances, such as dopamine and serotonin, are created. Then you feel refreshed and become forward-looking, and you laugh as a physiological phenomenon, "Hayashi said. もう半分ありますが、どなたか訳の方お願いいたします
Past studies suggest that laughing increases resistance to disease and helps keep people fit. Hayashi carried out an experiment on about 20 diabetics in their 50s and 60s to try to determine whether laughter had a positive effect on them. The patients were shown videotaped comedy sessions for 40 minutes after meals, after which Hayashi checked that did not raise a chuckle. From this, Hayashi concluded that a rise in blood-sugar level two hours after meals is curbed by laughter, a fact she reported in a U.S. diabetes magazine in 2003. "I hit upon the idea of massaging the muscles which move in laughing, and stimulate and activate the laughter neural circuit,"Hayashi said. "The idea is to facilitate laughter by making the laughing muscles move better and creating a constitution that makes it easy for a person to laugh." The laughing muscles are chiefly around the eyes, cheekbones and mouth, and in the exercise, the muscles are moved rhythmically by hand. The massaging can be done while seated, and even diabetics who cannot do strenuous physical exercise at seminars for patients. Hayashi added: "We hope people will do the exercise before exams, interviews and conferences that make them feel tense. The exercise is not a medical cure, but we hope we can issue a prescription for laughing someday." (Excerpted and edited from The Japan times, February 20, 2007) 続きです どなたお願いします

The script was cobbled together from the Ball-Arnaz vaudeville tour. Arnaz played bandleader Larry Lopez: Ball played his wife, Lucy, desperate to break into Larry's act. The plot was thin, stringing together burlesque bits, guest star appearances, songs, and dance numbers. Ball, however, did not want this to be a "real-life" star vehicle like Burns and Allen. Larry Lopez was a hardworking middle-class entertainer with a New York apartment; Lucy was a housewife, not an actress. "So far as I could see," said Ball,"a Hollywood couple has no problems in the eyes of the audience. If they have a big house, a car, a swimming pool, and live in California, tell me-what's their problems?" This show was aimed at Everyman. And Larry surely spoke for millions of men in postwar America when he denied Lucy a spot in his show and said,"I want a wife who's just a wife."
Of course, it's fine that Japanese borrows promiscuously from foreign languages. All languages evolve and change with time. But katakana English is more of a foe than a friend when it comes to studying English.

OK, so my instinct is to call 'bullshit' (pardon the pun that will become clear shortly) on this news story. However I then found it in the Washington Post and Fox News and wonder whether they would be conned too - in fairness to both they did decide to look on Snopes first - Fox even reckons the BBC have reported similarly from Zambia in the past.
What am I talking about? Well allegedly an advisory was sent out in Florida about a new drug doing the rounds called "Jenkem" which is a mixture of a mixture of human feces and urine in a bottle which you then "huff" to get high.
Gives a whole new meaning to the term "crackpipe" or someone saying "man this is good shit" doesn't it? Feel free to add as many jokes as you can think of in the comments, there must be so many.

The meeting will look at the options available before the government to see the agreement through, considering that time is running out and the Left is adamant on not giving up its opposition to the deal.
In contrast to the patriarchical family, social economic structure of European settlers, the Iroquois and other eastern tribes developed a matrilinear familiy structure. As hunters, men were frequently absent from the household for long periods, often for month and sometimes even years at a time. This disengaged them from fatherly(and hosband) responsibilities; therefore, the husband-wife relationship was not the most basic social relationship. Instead, the most fundamental foundation of the family was mother-daughter. Women were the planters and harvesters, with corn the primary food source. Although all land was commonly owned by the nation, or tribe, loose ownership rights to individual plots could occur.

「Induction of MMP-9 expression in hPDL cells」 Protein secretion of MMP-9 in conditioned culture media was measured by gelatin zymography. We first stimulated the hPDL cells with 5% P.intermedia(細菌の名前です) supernatant,5% P.gingivalis supernatant,E.coli(これも細菌の名前です。)lipopolysacchride and rHIL-1β for 24h. Gelatin zymography revealed that MMP-9 was not detectable before stimulation. At 24h,P.intermedia induced a strong MMP-9 expression in hPDL cells. In contrast,P.gingivalis, lipopolysacchride and IL-1βshowed no inductive effects on MMP-9 expression. MMP-2 was constitutively expressed in hPDL fibroblasts. None of the stimulants increased MMP-2 secretion within the 24-h treatment period(Fig.2). In order to determine the time-course effects of P.intermedia on MMP-9 induction, the conditioned culture medium was withdrawn at different time points and subjected to gelatin zymography(Fig.3a). Thirty minutes after P.intermedia stimulation,MMP-9 was secreted into the culture media by hPDL cells(Fig.3a,lane 3). the strongest stimulatory effects gradually decreased and lasted for the whole culture period of 24h(Fig.3b). The nature of the molecules involved in MMP-9 induction was investigated by boiling the supernatant for 20 min before adding it to the culture media. Induction of MMP-9 was almost completely abolished by heating the supernatant(Fig.3a,lane 2). A strong dose-dependent induction of MMP-9 expression was obseved: 10% P.intermedia induced the strongest MMP-9 expression in hPDL cells (Fig.3c). When MMP-9 expression induced by 10% P.intermedia supernatant was arbitrarily set as 100% ,the relative expression of MMP-9 induced by 1,2 and 5% P.intermedia was 28%,34% and 49%,respectively,which was significantly lower than 10% stimulation(P<0.01).
There is no perecise definition of a central bank that all experts would agree to and, hence, no exact moment at which a big bank becomes a central bank. Typically, when speaking of central banking, economists have one or more of the following criteria in mind; The bank serves as a lender of last resort to other banks or financial institutions by lending them money during crises when no one else will. The idea is that by preventing a few major financial institutions from closing, the central bank can prevent a panic from taking hold. This function was analyzed by Walter Bagehot in his famous book Lombard Street(1873), in which he urged the Bank of England to declare its determination to be the lender of last resort and to acquire a gold reserve commensurate with that responsibility. Bagehot's rule is that during financial crises, the central bank should lend freely but at high interest rates(to encourage prompt repayment after the crisis).

Druids, the priestly class of the Celts, believed that on this day, the souls of the dead, who had passed away during the year, returned to their homes looking for bodies to enter and possess.
@When was the last time you bought a call phone, a digital camera, or a portable music player? If it wasn't the first one that you've ever owned, maybe you bought a new one because you lost the earlier one or dropped it in a puddle. Or maybe it stopped working one day for no apparent reason.
AMaybe, but probably not. Modern electronic appliances, especially those manufactured in Japan(or by Japanese companies in other east Asian countries) are spectacularly reliable, and they rarely just die, nor are a large number of them dropped into puddles or lost. No, there's a very good chance that you bought a new one because it could do more than your old one-take more photos, send longer text messages, produce higher quality sound-or just because your old one was...well, old and your friends all had newer kinds.
BIn the modern world, obsolescence is built into nearly everything we buy. Before a company even starts selling a new product, it's already designing the next model of the same product and thinking of ways to persuade people to upgrade from the first version to the second. Automobile companies put new models on sale once a year, but for many high-tech items, the cycle is shorter, with fresh models appearing every six to eight months. Clothes often have an even shorter life span because they're generally appropriate for just one season of the year, and by the tome that same season rolls around in the following year, fashion has changed and the previous year's outfit doesn't look quite right.
CHow did we get into this situation? Has the world always been this way? Of course not. Can you imagine a Stone Age woman looking through a magazine to see what brand of designer animal skins is "in" this year? Or her husband going to the Super Megastore to drool over the latest wooden clubs? The father you go back in history, the more slowly fashions changed. Stone Age people probably looked and dressed exactly the same way for generations. Even a few centuries ago, hairstyles and clothing styles remained more or less the same for decades at a stretch. A historian can look at a picture from the Edo Period and guess when it was painted only to within fifty years or so, but he can look at a photo from the Showa Period and guess when it was taken to within five years.

In the present study, we demonstrated a therapeutic effect of polaprezinc on the altered taste sensation of rats fed a zinc-deficient diet using the two-bottle preference test. We used SD/Slc rats in the bitter taste disorder model because the preference rate for quinine hydrochloride using Wistar/Slc rats was not increased significantly by feeding zinc-deficient diet (date not shown), suggesting that the taste preference differs between SD/Slc and Wistar/Slc rats. At least, for both bitter and salty taste, the polaprezinc at doses of 3 and 10mg/kg. There results indicated that the taste disorder induced by feeding rats a zinc-deficient diet was reversible by zinc supplementation, even if this was commenced after the occurrence of taste abnormalities. Jakinovichetal ,however, reported that zinc supplementation of zinc-deficient rats did not cause a significant change of the preference for sodium chloride solution. This difference is presumed to have occurred because they fed a zinc-deficient diet from the age of three weeks, which might be severer than our experimental condition of starting at the age of four weeks. In fact, we have preliminary data which suggested, and that difference in the severity of zinc deficiency can produce different taste abnormalities.
>>512の続き Polaprezinc showed its maximum effect at a dose of 3 mg/kg in the preference test for quinine hydrochloride, although dose-dependence was observed in the preference test for sodium chloride and with regard to the serum zinc concentration. In our study, the preference of quinine hydrochloride differs between SD/Slc and Wistar/Slc rats, so the effect of polaprezinc might differ among the strain of rats. Sodium chloride is necessary for mammals to maintain a normal physiological state and rats came to prefer the sodium chloride solution when receiving a zinc-deficient diet. In contrast, quinine hydrochloride is used as unpleasant bitter taste rather than a preference for rats, so normal rats avoid quinine hydrochloride solution. As bitter taste perception is very important to avoid the ingestion of poisonous substances, the preference for a bitter taste may have been more sensitive to zinc supplementation than that for a salty taste after onset of taste disorder induced by zinc deficiency. An increased preference for sodium chloride was observed in our zinc-deficient rats and similar results have been reported in the adrenalectomized rat. It has been suggested that the zinc status could influence endocrine function similar to the induction of endocrine abnormalities by adrenalectomy. Moreover, it has been reported that different mechanisms might be involved in the recognition of each taste, for example, G protein-coupled receptors (T2Rs) and G protein alpha subunit (gustducin) are believed to be key molecules for bitter taste perception, while salty taste signals are probably transduced via epithelial sodium channels (ENaCs). Our results showed a different effect of polaprezinc in the two taste preference tests, which may be related to distinct mechanisms for the recognition of each type of taste.
From Anthony Wallace(1970), we learn; An individual woman might, if she wished,"own" a patch of corn, or an apple or peach orchard, but there was little reason for insisting on private tenure; the work was more happily done communally, and in the absence of a regular market, a surplus was of little personal advantage, especially if the winter were hard and other families needed corn. In such circumstances hoarding led only to hard feelings and strained relations as well as the possibility of future difficulty in getting corn for oneself and one's family.
長文ですがどなたかお願いします TOKAMACHI, Niigata - Karl Bengs is passionate about polishing "gems" in Japan. He is a German architect who has attracted increasing amounts of attention for his work to restore old Japanese houses. For many years, Bengs has searched for old houses and buildings and breathed new life into them by preserving their traditional features while at the same time modernizing the interiors to create comfortable living spaces. "Old houses are like gems. They will shine if we polish and take good care of them," the 64-year-old Bengs said. He has proved that. Most of the structures he worked on were built more than 100 years ago and were unoccupied for a long time, but they have been revived as sophisticated structures with a nostalgic atmosphere. Once he finds an old house, he first examines its structural integrity, checking pillars, beams and building materials and deciding what to throw out and what to keep. His goal is not simply to restore the structure to its original state. To make the homes more comfortable to live in and to showcase his original designs, the architect incorporates functional, German-made materials and devices such as sash windows, ceramic roof tiles and lighting fixtures. He also makes bold use of unusual colors, such as pink and yellow to paint the exterior walls of traditional Japanese houses and buildings.
続きです Such attempts to combine Japanese and European tastes have been well received and often covered by the media. as a result, Bengs, who has run his own firm in Tokamachi, Niigata Prefecture, since 1998, now receives orders from across the nation. "Seeing construction sites with my own eyes, talking to carpenters and giving them specific instructions, which can't be passed through a blueprint, is crucial to doing a job that satisfies customers," he said. Bengs said his passion for restoring old houses grew as he saw the townscape of Japan changing, along with the country's rapid economic growth. Bengs' interest in Japanese culture was sparked by a book on Japanese architecture written by German architect Bruno Taut and ukiyo-e prints. He is disappointed that old structures filled with history and culture have been increasingly vanishing. "Towns that don't have old houses are just like people who don't have memories," he wrote on his company's website. Bengs is concerned that Japan's throwaway, mass consumption culture has led people to ignore the traditions that they should be proud to show off to the rest of the world. I am writing you because I remembered your advice to visit the fish market when we met in Tokyo and since I am planning to go back to Tokyo with my family I would like some suggestions from you: what is it possible and feasible in one week? We are two adults and a teenager so we want to mix things for adults and maybe a bit boring, with some exciting things.Do you have some suggestions? Do you know where I can book hotels at reasonable prices in this location? All that you will suggest me (even a different destination,I am planning to buy the railpass) would be precious to me.If you think it is better to get in touch with a local travel agency, could you name one?
The present study was designed to clarify the effect of zinc deficiency on sodium chloride preference, the lingual trigeminal and taste nerves transduction, and carbonic anhydrase (CA) activity of the tongue surface and salivary gland. Male SD rats, 4 weeks old, were divided into four groups, and fed zinc-deficient (Zn-Def), low-zinc (Low-Zn), and zinc-sufficient diets with free access (Zn-Suf) and pair-feeding (Pair-fed). After taking part in the preference tests for 42 days, the rats were provided for the chorda tympani and lingual trigeminal nerves recordings, then finally sacrificed and the tongue and submandibular gland excised to measure CA activity. Sodium chloride preference increased only after 4 days of the feeding of zinc-deficient and low-zinc diets, which means that the taste abnormality appears abruptly in zinc deficieny and even though in marginal zinc deficiency. Reduced CA activities of the taste-related tissues in zinc-deficient group paralleled well with the decreased taste and lingual trigeminal nerves sensitivities.
The bank has considerable control over the stock of money and uses this control to moderate fluctuations in credit conditions, prices, or other aspects of the economy. If the country is on a metallic standard, the case we are examining here, then the central bank cannot issue as much money as it might like because of the risk to its own metallic reserves. The bank regulates other banks, punishing those whose behavior it considers imprudent. Finally, we come to the modern definition of a central bank; the bank lends lots of money to goverment.
The year 1868 is the date that officially marks a drastic change:with the support of those strong refional feudal lords who adroitly managed to consolidate their power, the long-powerless emperor was reinstated to the top of the political hierarchy, and a new era had begun. The terms on which Meiji leaders chose to participate in the nineteenth-century globalizing political economy were decisive for the Japan we know today, an extremely powerful contemporary nation-state. Japanese leaders orchestrated an effective process of studying and adopting the tools for modernizing their country, similar in many respects to the way they studied and selected what they wanted from Korean and Chinese civilizations in the seventh to mid-ninth centuries. Embassies were sent abroad to surveysystematically aspects of Eurpean and American society, from school systems to imperial marriage celebrations. At a remarkably fast pace,a traditional economy based on agriculture was shifted to an economy based on industry.Edo,now Tokyo(literally the"eastern capital,"to distinguish it from Kyoto, the imperial center),was finally recognized as the official capital, first among japan's cities in a period of rapid urbanization.
Not long ago, anyone diving with shakes was considered foolish, reckless,or just crazy. However, this unlikely activity has now become the new become the new".dventure sport." With who dream of having a close encounter with this dangerous predator. In some of the shark-infested oceans, cade diving is the best way to come eye to eye with a great whileshark. It's not necessary to have a diving qualification,as most tour operators will give you aquick training session before you step into the cage and are lowered into the water,to await the adrenalin rush of your life. Once in the cage, the sharks are "fed,"either by hand or by a tube from inside the cage. お願いします!!

Hello, everyone! Nice to meet you! I am ○○. This is my first uploading, so I feel kind of nervous. So..... what story am I going to tell you? Ummmmm, anyway, I'll get started!
My name is ○○. 18 Years old, from asia, and love baseball.
I wanted to talk about my homestay experience in Australia last year. I went to Cairns in last June, and had stayed with an Australian family for 3 weeks. I have only one bad memory that I got ill for few days, but, after that, I enjoyed myself very much. In Australia, the nature was very beautiful. I was surprised when I saw wild parrots and parakeets! When I woke up in the morning, I could hear their songs. They made me feel very good! My host father was chinese australian . at first, when I met him at the airport, I was surprised because I thought that HE would be European, but I soon started to feel comfortable with him, Because he is asian like me, We had a lot in common . I heard that there are a lot of people from Hong Kong there. At a night market in Cairns, a salesperson talked to me in Japanese, but I ignored her as if I couldn't understand Japanese. Oh yeah I am japanese. And..... I went to a festival, the Cairns Show、With 4 NAUGHTY girls, we visited around for a while. I was pretty tired. i was not familiar to them at that time..
And, I want to tell you about Tony. I was a lazy student because of the illness, but I was glad I could get acquinted with him, Tony, at English language school. We hang out many places together. He is over 50 years old, He is charming and nice, and gentleman.
And.... I bought a cap at a department store?. maybe Cains Central? and..... I found balls of kangaroo sold in a souvenior shop!
So, now you know, I couldn't improve my English so much, but I could experience many things, and got a great fun! I want to go there again.
This script is by unknown person from 2channel, one of the most biggest BBS in Japan and, usually, I can't talk like this in English. Thank you for your watching my video to the end. See ya mates!hooroo!
Zinc has an important influence on the cell cycle in taste bud cells, so zinc deficiency would induce the impairment of taste bud function. BrdU(5-bromo-2’-deoxyuridine) is a thymidine analogue that labels proliferating cells which pass through S phase of the cell cycle and is employed to detect DNA synthesis. BrdU can label taste bud cells of rodents, but only a few percent of the taste bud cells were l abeled by a single dose of BrdU. Accordingly, we repeated BrdU administration for 14 days and the BrdU incorporation rate increased more than 50% in normal rats. We found a decrease of the BrdU incorporation into taste bud cells of rats fed a zinc-deficient diet, while polaprezinc(at doses of 1,3,and 10 mg/kg) increased the incorporation of BrdU. Although the taste preference differs between SD/Slc and Wistar/Slc, the BrdU incorporation was similar in SD/Slc rats to that of Wistar/Slc rats (unpublished data). These results indicate that taste bud cell proliferation was suppressed in rats fed a zinc-deficient, while polaprezinc improved the suppression of taste bud cell proliferation induced by zinc deficiency. Although polaprezinc still improved the BrdU incorporation rats at a dose of 1 mg/kg, it had no effect on the taste preference for sodium chloride or had only a week effect on the taste preference for quinine hydrochloride. This discrepancy suggests that other functions of taste bud cells might have been unchanged because other factors could contribute to the development of impaired taste sensation associated with zinc deficiency besides the suppression of taste bud cell proliferation. More studies, especially functional evaluation of the recognition of taste, will be needed to clarify the mechanism by which polaprezinc improves taste disorders.
In conclusion, we showed that zinc supplementation by administration of polaprezinc had a therapeutic effect in a rat model of taste disorder, and that the recovery of taste bud cell proliferation could be involved in the improvement of taste sensation by polaprezinc in rats fed a zinc-deficient diet. These results suggest that polaprezinc could be useful for the treatment of taste disorders in humans.

As with everything else in Northern Ireland, even the newspaper you read will probably depend on your religion. Working class Protestants will read the News letter, which gives the Unionist perspective on political matters and has sports pages dominated by sporting events in Britain. Working class Catholics,on the other hand, are likely to choose the Irish News, where the focus of the sports pages is on Gaelic sports and sporting events in the Irish Republic, even though it is published in Belfast, like the News Letter. ↑訳、お願い致します。

I could not feel myself to be actively involved in the currents of political events in the world, because l could not find any bearing of society on my own destiny. But my feeling about the political situation of the world l was living in was something more than one of isolation. I was violently in revolt against it. And it was a negative revolt. I did not involve myself in any efforts to better the situation. I had no sense of responsibility for it. All I wanted was the peace and quiet to develop and enjoy myself in spite of it. It was not, however, an attitude that was easy to sustain. It is not in the nature of things that a man should pursue his spiritual advancement outside of any social context. Today a man must be blind to ignore the fact that mankind is committed to a common destiny and it threatened as a whole by the consequences of total war. I am in the world and l cannot give back my entrance ticket. Nor I can be neutral. I have to define what l am for and what against. To be neutral is impossible, because neutrality produces its effects and they are harmful ones. If I stand for survival I must be prepared to work for it, because if we do not work for it we cannot obtain it and if we do not obtain it, its contrary, destruction, will follow
I have a rendezvous with Death At some disputed barricade, When Spring comes back with rustling shade And apple-blossoms fill the air? I have a rendezvous with Death When Spring brings back blue days and fair.
It may be he shall take my hand And lead me into his dark land And close my eyes and quench my breath? It may be I shall pass him still. I have a rendezvous with Death On some scarred slope of battered hill When Spring comes round again this year And the first meadow-flowers appear.
God knows 'twere better to be deep Pillowed in silk and scented down, Where Love throbs out in blissful sleep, Pulse nigh to pulse, and breath to breath, Where hushed awakenings are dear... But I've a rendezvous with Death At midnight in some flaming town, When Spring trips north again this year, And I to my pledged word am true, I shall not fail that rendezvous.
MEXICALI, Baja California, June 6, 2008.- USA joined Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico as teams of NORCECA claiming tickets to the next years World Grand Prix. The Americans made their way toward the main womens annual event by defeating Peru in straight sets by score of 25-19, 25-15, 25-16 at the Pan American Cup.
We accomplished our goal of qualifying to the World Grand Prix, said American Stacy Sykora. We were able to refocus after the loss against Puerto Rico last night and come back to perform against a strong team like Peru.
We came to this tournament with two main goals: one, to improve with each game which we did and second, to qualify to the Grand Prix which we did it today, said Tom Hogan, the American coach. I think this young team has grown to another level as a result of playing in this competition.
We have to leave the tournament on a positive note and it is that we have learned a lot during the competition playing against some very good teams, said Soto after the game.

Set? Just kidding.
Logan Tom changes teams every year and she has been to Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Russia. It will only be a matter of time before she ends up in Turkey, I think.
and She doesn't play in Japanese league (V-league).

If you find the other two papers too depressing, you might opt instead for the Belfast Telegraph. It aims to provide less partisan and more detailed reporting of Northern Ireland politics while giving reasonable coverage to the sporting and cultural events of bouh sides of the community. I am tempted to say that the first day at school is a problem for mothers rather than children. They view it with mixed feelings. On the one hand, it does represent the first move of the child away from them ; one the other, it is a proud part of his growing into independence. Those mothers in whom the former feeling overwhelmingly predominates will be most likely to have a difficult time themselves and with their children. What happens on the first day depends on the way a child has been brought up in the preceding years. If he has been encouraged to be independent on a basis of secure affection, he will take to school with comparative ease. If his home has been insecure or if he has been overprotected, he may balk at it. There is, in other words, a good deal that parents can do to make the transition to school easy, but it is done in the whole process of upbringing. There is no magic system that will otherwise make it go all right on the day.
In dealing with the new school, the lager world, a child needs a sense of independence and the ability to manage on his own. What seem little things help, like being able to dress himself and tie his tie and shoelaces. Some of these everyday skills take an awful long time to learn and busy mothers find it easier to do it themselves. But after the age of four, that temptation should be resisted and independence encouraged.
She came to us direct from an orphanage a very long time ago, as a sort of under-between maid on probation, and in that capacity she was quite satisfactory; but I'm afraid, as parlourmaid, she has developed certain marked eccentricities in the performance of her duties─due, no doubt, to the fact that she has never fully known what they were. Well, now, where were we? Ah yes. I was telling you about my sources of income, was I not?
When I was in Osaka with some girls from my own country studying Japanese in a language school, the girls would talk non stop about all the Japanese guys they were going out with. They were real sluts, but they loved Japanese guys. They told me that they have beautiful skin tone, eyes, slim bodies and that the size wasnt much different. Im a Gaijin guy but I think that its time us Gaijins got over the whole fantasy of having a bigger John than every guy in Japan. JUST GET OVER YOURSELVES! I guess I wish this were so but its not. The Japanese girls that date us Gaijin guys are not the slutty girls of Japan with the dark brown skin and blonde hair, those girls will only date Japanese guys. The japanese girls that will date us are the ones who have an interest in English or going oversees. I mean how can a relationship start in the first place if 2 people cant talk to each other?
However, on the size issue, its not an issue of penis size (not in my experience anyway), its more a problem of, well, im a decent sized woman, definately not a petite, say American size 8, 175cm,
As to size it truly doesn't matter. Just because a man has a large frame doesn't mean he has a large penis. Also for a black sausage, not all are big as you would think. From, one who knows.
Japanese men are much more thick in my experience(which has been quite abundant may I add). Just b/c it is short, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt so good. Plus, Japanese men like to please their women and will automatically go south..... It was my alarm clock with my last boyfriend and quite frankly, I cannot say the same for western men who in my opinion are very selfish lovers, unlike erotic japanese men......
Without getting into specifics, I am married to a wonderful lover, who is Japanese. He is unselfish, has wonderful minty-fresh breath, and is very clean. Walking around today with my husband, I noticed many fashionable, handsome Japanese men who were very well groomed. I feel so sorry for japanese men sometimes...so many stereo-types....I wish people would open their minds and not feel that they have to attack others so often. K.
Why are some male posters so obsessed with the male sex organ and the size of others? If your partner is happy then who cares! What do you want people to say about you at the end of your life? Oh he was a complete jerk but he had a big d""k! And with that kind of high intelligence to say size makes one man more or less then another you must have a helper monkey at the least.
Guys! Listen to what the girls on this forum are saying, cause it is completely oposite to what you are saying. Even if there is a difference in size there are exceptions. Ive seen some porn with black guys with very small Johns. And what does it mean anyway? If you only judge yourself and others by something that we are born with then I feel sorry for you. As a guy I like to think that I have alot more to offer my wife than whats dangling between my legs, and if she didnt think so she would be running around town looking for something bigger.
Do you think a women wants a guy with a big dong who has no sense of humour, doesnt treat her well maybe even beats her...............or someone who is genrally loving with other good attributes. I think you know the answer.
My perfect guy: About my height, maybe a little taller, with fire in his soul and mischief in his eyes. Strong, but not necessarily in body, definately in spirit. Adventurous, sexy, calm, happy with himself and who he is/what hes doing, and interested in me. I have no doubt that his eyes will be beautiful, and i dont care about the rest.

It was strange I did not see any mothers with babies in the metro stations.I had a lot of stories to tell back in Brussels. People want to hear about those fabulous toilets! A stupid Englishman wrote an article in the “Sunday Times “ ( a british Sunday paper)making fun of these toilets.Next week, there was a readers’ letter in the newspaper. A british lady wrote:“I found the electric lavatory a thing of joy. After overcoming our initial fears, the warm soothing seat and “the bottom detector”hygienically negating the need to touch anything, made the experience a highlight of our holiday. There is so much else to commend about Japanese society:unfailing politeness, nio lietter, no graffiti,no speeding motorists,no honking horns and a feeling of complete safety. So having got most things right, the inventors of the electric lavatory can rightly say “up yours” to that journalist”
TOKAMACHI, Niigata - Karl Bengs is passionate about polishing "gems" in Japan. 続きます
Such attempts to combine Japanese and European tastes have been well received and often covered by the media. as a result, Bengs, who has run his own firm in Tokamachi, Niigata Prefecture, since 1998, now receives orders from across the nation. @ "This is theeqxperience of life time,"says one of the instructors. "We've had children as young as five in the cage. And the oldest person we've had on a dive was 76. He's booked again for neyt year." Shark diving is controversial. the sport is bringing an unnaturally high number of sharks to one area, and this has consequences for the whole of marine ecosystem.
AIn South Africa, for example,at one particular shark-diving hot spot, there are seven tour operators competing for the sharks' attention. Environments claim that sharks are losing their natural fear of humans and starting to regard humans as providers of food.
BOne of the strongest arguments for shark diving,on the other hand,is that it is a way to educate people about the fact and myths about sharks. "We want to teach people that sharks are misunderstood,"say the tour operators. "They are not the creatuqes we've seen in Jaws.Shark diving can brinh us closer to these awesome creatures in their natural habitat―long after they've brushed against the bars in the cage, just an arm's length away from you."
CAs one client put it,"It's about a ten on the Richter scale of life-changing experiences.Everything else is travel after you've seen the inside of a shark's open mouth from under the water. お願いします!
A language encompasses a variety of linguistic fields and is used in various cultural contexts. Charles Morris once proposed a new broad discipline, called semiotics. Semiotics is the study of signs and symbols in relation to human behavior, and is divided into the three dimensions of syntax and semantics, and pragmatics. Among these three dimensions, syntax and semantics are closely related to internal aspects of language itself, while pragmatics is the study of the relationship between linguistic symbols and human behavior and is beyond the study of language itself. There are, therefore, many aspects of communication other than the words themselves and what is uttered by a speaker is not always what is meant. J.C.Condon(1972)mentions the following case: Once when he was travelling in Mexico, he got lost when returning to his hotel. He asked several Mexicans how to get back to the hotel. All the people he talked with were very courteous and helpful in giving directions, but he failed to reach his hotel. When he finally found it after various difficulties, he wondered why people had not given him correct directions. Although he had some problems in communicating in Spanish, which is spoken in Mexico, he was later told that``interpersonal reality'' is more important for Mexicans than for Americans. That is, some Mexicans consider that human relations and kindness are more important than objective facts, and they thought that it was impolite to reply ``Sorry,I don't know''. They apparently felt that it was not friendly to say that they did not know the directions to the hotel. The examples suggests that there is something in communicaton which is outside the fields of linguistics, something more than the words or sentences actually spoken. In communicating with people from different cultual backgrounds, we should keep in mind thet there are differences in those areas which are beyond language. 長文ですが和訳をお願いいたします。
The original signal shown in Figure 1.9a isshown again in Figure 1.9e being sampled at a rate equal to twice the highest frequency it contains (this frequency is that shown in Figure 1.9b).
Clearly, the signal can now be reconstructed quite accurately from these samples.
We can now easily caluculate the amount of information present in an analog signal.
if the accuracy of measurement for each sample allows it to be specified with N bits (e.g., N = 4 for 16 possible levels) and the signal bandwidth is B(e.g., 3kHz for a speech signal), then the amount of information delivered per second is 2B (Nyquist sample rate) times N (bits per sample), and thus equal to 2BN bits per second.
For the speech signal this qould be 2×3,000×4 = 24,000 bits per second, or 24Kb,s-1 in conbentional notation.
In other words, the speaker is providing information at arate of 24Kb,s-1 to the listener.

Two hundred years ago England was the mother country for most of the whites in North America. Since then, millions of immigrants have come from many countries: from Germany and Ireland, from Italy and Eastern Europe. Yet you can still sometimes hear England called, though perhaps not very seriously ,the ”mother country”. What do Americans really think about the British today. お願いします。
For many Americans, the typical Englishman is a well dressed fellow carrying an umbrella and hurrying along a busy street ---- perhaps chasing a double-decker bus he had just missed. He is good natured, but likes his privacy. English ladies are polite, but also snobbish and class-conscious. And English men and Women alike are all rather traditional especially about everyday things like teatime.
The government negotiated long-term contracts on government forest land, dividing eventual timber proceeds with a village or merchant in return for the latter managing the forests. All these political and social factors made it in the interests of the syogun, daimyo, and peasants to manage their forests sustainably. Equally obviously after the Meireki fire,(明暦におこった大火事) those factors made short-term overexploitation of forests foolosh.
Of course, though, people with long-term stakes don't always act wisely. Often they still prefer short-term goals, and often again they do things that are foolish in both the short term and the long term. That's what makes biography and history infinitely more complicated and less predictable than the courses of chemical reactions, and that's why this book doesn't preach invironmental determinism.

"The Dozens" is an element of the African-American oral tradition in which two competitors, usually males, go head to head in a competition of often good-natured, ribald "trash talk", more widely known as "Yo Momma Fights". They take turns insulting-- "cracking", "west coast dissin'," or "ranking" on--one another, their adversary's mother or other family member until one of them has no comeback. This is called playing the Dozens or doin' the Dozens, and sometimes dirty Dozens, The Dozens is a contest of personal power-- of wit, self-control, verbal ability, mental agility and mental toughness. Each putdown, each "snap," ups the ante. Defeat can be humiliating; but a skilled contender, win or lose, may gain respect. The Dozens is one of the contributing elements in the development of hip hop, especially the practice of battling.
The Dozens can be a harmless game, or, if tempers flare, a prelude to physical violence. While the competition, on its face, is usually light-hearted, smiles sometimes mask real tensions. But in its purest form, the Dozens is part of an African-American custom of verbal sparring, of "woofin'" (see wolf ticket) and "signifyin'," intended to defuse conflict nonviolently, descended from an oral tradition rooted in traditional West African cultures.
Four people stopped to help us out, the day that we met you.One lady even going quite a way in the opposite direction that she was going in the sub-way,to show us the way out-hardly speaking a word of English! We actually thought ourselves very lucky for a while on that day, that the 'peak hour rush' was really quiet. Until we decided to go to the JR Station to get rail tickets that were needed later that week.Wow.... e obviously struck the peak hour then!!It was like a 'mouse plague'.We've never seen so many people in one place, hurrying, shoulder to shoulder before. What astounded us was the fact that - even though we're not used to such crowds, it was all so orderly and composed and relatively quiet. And we still felt really safe.... the complete opposite of Italy!!(Where it's loud, boisterous and quite unsafe) I'd love to go through the rest of the trip in detail for you - but I'll keep it brief - for now.. Bruce and I are really looking forward to coming back to do another tour of Japan next Spring-maybe April,2009.The next one is a 21-day,that starts and ends in Tokyo and visits Nagasaki, and Sapporo.I've already contacted the Japanese Tourist Organisation, here in Sydney-and they've sent me out some information on these cities and areas.Something special again to look forward to!!Maybe we can meet up again in Tokyo. We have one full day in Tokyo half-way through the tour.
Update 3 Btw, I received some replies from him by mail, I won't post them because are racists, but just to let you know the kind of person he is..
-------------------------------- Update 2 Here we are again, he changed the front image and just a bit the text, I know I can't really do anything about it, I don't even want to do anything about it..
Sad sad sad
-------------------------------- Update It seems that everything is back to normal, I just want to say that I hate being an ass and usually I really don't care about what people do with my works, I never said to not release mods of my stuffs, but what happened today was really different.
Anyway thanks everybody for your support. CK
-------------------------------- I've always been the guy like "why are u asking if u can release the mod of my work?" but now I can't really see and don't say a word. There's this guy that copied completely my site, and I'm saying COMPLETELY, even the words he uses are the same, check it out. I sended him a mail saying to change what he has done, I hope he'll do it, its annoying to see this, for the first time I'm really thinking that maybe I have to copyright everything I do, modding is a thing, copying another one..

This view emerged in a study by linguist Alice Greenwood of the conversations that took place among her three preadolescent children and their friends. Her daughters and son gave different reasons for their preferences in dinner guests. Her dauthter Stacy said she would not want to invite people she didn't know well because then she would have to be "polite and quiet" and put on good manners. Greenwood's other daughter, Denise, said she liked to have her friend Meryl over because she could act crazy with Meryl and didn't have to worry about her manners, as she would with certain other friends who "would go around talking to people probably." Bur Denise's twin brother, Dennis, said notthing about having to watch his manners or worry about how others would judge his behavior. He simply said that he liked to have over friends with whom he could joke and laugh a lot. The girls'comments show that for them being close means being able to talk freely. And being with relative strangers means having to watch what they say and do. This insight holds a clue to the riddle of who talks more, women or men.
非常に長くて申し訳ないのですがどなたかお願いします この文章のタイトルはThe Comfort of Homeという題です
Of course, most of these impressions come from books and movies. They disappear quickly when one actually meets British people. But some things never do seem to disappear, and those are the things the Americans like best. They like the patience and good humor of the British, and the helpful policeman who do not carry guns. They are amazed by the smallness of things in Britain and the unwillingness of the British to work harder for more money. They admire royal family, because it retains pomp and ceremony even in a democracy. They loved old buildings. Americans also admire the English way of speaking and seem to think it is superior to their own. When they are playfully trying to sound dignified they imitate it. So Americans and Britons really get along very well: the British way of speaking, and seem to think it superior to their own. When they are playfully trying to sound dignified, they imitate it. So Americans and Britons really get along very well: the British complain that Americans destroy the ships, and the Americans are quite likely to agree.

Rate:A way to look at the fielder's rate of production, equal to 100 plus the number of runs above or below average this fielder is per 100 games. A player with a rate of 110 is 10 runs above average per 100 games, a player with an 87 is 13 runs below average per 100 games, etc.
FRAR, FRAR2:Fielding runs above replacement. A fielding statistic, where a replacement player is meant to be approximately equal to the lowest-ranking player at that position, fielding wise, in the majors. Average players at different positions have different FRAR values, which depend on the defensive value of the position; an average shortstop has more FRAR than an average left fielder.
RAA, RAA2:Runs above average at this position, similar to Palmer's Fielding Runs as far as interpretation is concerned.
Rate2:See Rate. Rate2 incorporates adjustments for league difficulty and normalizes defensive statistics over time.
BatOut:Approximate number of batting outs made while playing this position.
EqR:Equivalent Runs; EQR = 5 * OUT * EQA^2.5. In the fielding charts, the estimated number of EqR he had at the plate while playing this position in the field. In Adjusted Standings, EqR refers to the total number of equivalent runs scored by the team.
Of course If I catch some info, I'll write down in this fourm. I actually don't have any info about this. I guess she will play with Pioneer! Because the team coach is TOSHI, he is Ex-USA NT coach ( Athens OG coach )
Yes we do use titanium dioxide as a natural UV pigment coming from nanotechnology. We consider this use as safe as far we do our research regarding this topic We know that recently in discussions and reports from expert circles the question is increasingly raised whether substances and particles manufactured using so-called nanotechnologies are safe for human health. The opinion is frequently voiced that the potential effects of nanomaterials on health have not yet been sufficiently examined. But for many years mainly two substances have been used in cosmetics ? the pigments titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, both mostly used as UV filters in sunscreens. Comprehensive data are available on these pigments which confirm that they are safe to use in cosmetics. The safety of titanium dioxide micropigments in sunscreens was already comprehensively documented in 2000 in an expert opinion of SCCNFP (Scientific Committee for Cosmetic Products and Non-Food Products Intended for Consumers, at that time the scientific advisory body of the European Commission) [1]. These studies established more particularly that the particles do not penetrate the skin. Recent studies have confirmed these results for titanium dioxide and zinc oxide [2]. In April 2005 the ‘Kosmetik-Kommission’ of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) approved the use of the two UV filter pigments in cosmetic sunscreens without any reservations [3]. At an expert meeting on the subject of nanotechnology in March 2006 the safety of the microfine filter pigments was confirmed again regarding possible dermal intake [4]. The latest news come from a study from EU project Nanoderm which again confirm no harm from these substances [5
Wow, Japan is going through some busy times. Politicians are busy making changes. The Ministry of Education is busy trying to keep children busy when schools start the five-day school week. The government is busy giving money to construction companies that are building bigger buildings and wider roads. Why is everyone so busy? Unitil recently I was too busy to seriously answer this question. Yesterday, I climbed up a huge hinoki trere and found the answer. As I looked down I saw some foresters working far off in the distance and it hit me. The answer was in the story of the woodcutter. Once upon a time, a very strong woodcutter got a job at a lumber mill. He would be paid for each tree that he cut down. The woodcutter was determined to make some good money. On the first day, the woodcutter cut down 18 trees. "Congratulations, "his boss said. "You are doing an excellent job!"
Overall,it leaves the visitor feeling rather depressed. Protestant areas may show ‘King Billy’on his white horse,or the symbols of various paramilitary groups. For example,a red hand-the emblem of the largest Protestant paramilitary group, the Ulster Defence Association. Slogans under these murals may say ‘No Pope Here’,‘No Surrender’,Ulster is British’,‘UVF for God and Ulster’. In Catholic areas, murals may depict the ‘Easter Rising’of 1916 or hunger strikes by IRA prisoners. Here you find slogans such as ‘No Queen Here’or ‘Victory to the IRA’. 訳お願いします。
Few of us give a great deal of thought to how large portion of our lives is devoted to the process of securing and then spending our incomes. Most of us also fail to appreciate the complex social relationships that are involved in this process. To be sure, many of us are only too well aware that our incomes are not sufficient to take care of all our wants. Yet, in spite of this constant struggle to “ make ends meet,” we generally neglect any serious inquiry into why our incomes are not larger or into whether we are spending them wisely. A study of economics should be of great value in aiding us to answer these two basic questions. Too often the term economics is presumed to refer only to those principles which explain The activities of large corporations or which are applied by the managers of such corporations in conducting their business. Naturally, economic principles do apply to big business, but they also apply to small business and to every individual, whether he is in business or not. Economics, then is not a subject to be studied only by those who enter business, but it is of vital concern to everyone. Even a poet must eat, and his standard of living will depend largely on his ability to earn an income and on the skill with which he uses it to purchase goods and services. 経済学部の問題らしいのですが得意な方お願いします

お願いします。 When you are 6-7 years old you are coming in the first class. We often have two classes 1a 1b 2a 2b in one class are often 25 people. After one year you go to the second class and so on. After the 4th class your first school time is over. Now we must go to another school for the older pupils. There are 3 possibilitys were you can go:
1. The "Gymnasium" : In these classes are going smart pupils with good marks.
2. The "Realschule" : There are going most of the pupils they are the average pupils. 3. The "Hauptschule" : there are going pupils who wrote bad marks and which are decayed and such things x)
(4). The "Sonderschule): For peopels who are assozial, stupidly, Decayed, and such things xD (I don't know anyone who goes there).
If you are in 1 or 2 and your marks are very bad you must go the system under you so if you are in 1 you must go in 2 if you are in 2 you must go in 3 sorry not good explained^^
If you are in 2. or 3. you make till class 9.then you write and exam and you finish with school and if you are in the 1 "Gymnasium" you can make school to class 10. After class 10 you can go to another school were you make till class 13. and if you want you can go to an university after this.
Like I've already said in another thread, Vesna Citakovic will retire from NT after the Olympics. Serbia has plenty of talent on MB position, but there will be no one like her again... Not only is she a great player, but she's also a real captain, leader on court, great motivator and almost like a mother to younger girls, although she is not that old herself. She will be missed so much... Now, another interesting thing is that Jelena Nikolic said that she's not going to play another match in Japan again and that the Olympic qualifying tournament was her farewell with that country. And as we all know, the World Championships in 2010 will be held there... Does that mean that she's not planning on playing then? Maybe she will also stop on NT after Beijing? It would be too much. And since it's safe to say that Anja Spasojevic is not coming back, not for now at least, Serbian team could look very different next year...
I hope Djerisilo definitely considers herself an OH, not an OPP (also in clubs not just in NT). If Nikolic and Spasojevic retire from NT, I think she is needed in that position
Totally agree. She is a great player. It will be nice to watch both Vesna and Serbian NT in OG. ı hope she ends her career in NT with a succes in Beijing
Terzic is not totally satisfied with the effort of the Serbian B team in Montreux. He says the team as a whole performed reasonably well or at least as expected, but some players did not live up to expectations, mostly Malagurski, Nesovic and both setters. According to him Ivana Nesovic was unexpectedly bad and made too many errors that really shocked him, and Sanja Malagurski is irresponsible and may not be selected to NT again. I really wish I could have seen the matches so I would know what's this all about...
I've seen most of Serbia's matches and had a very different impression. Nesovic showed a good performance overall, yes she made many mistakes but the setters (who indeed were not very good) made life difficult for her. And after all she was best server of the tournament and certainly the best player of Serbian team. And Malagurski...what does he mean with irresponsible? In the matches or in general? I think she played quite well most of the time..

However, growth as a biofilm with either 0.1% sucrose or 0.5% sucrose increased the proportion of green cells, which indicates viability. Although the experiments were performed with monospecies biofilms and with planktonic cells as control, they might still be applicable to the situation in dental plaque, because the antimicrobial potential of Listerime on dental plaque has been demonstrated in several studies − reviewed in ref.(27). Recently it has been described that a dual-species biofilm of S.mutans and Veillonella parvula has a percentage of survivors after antimicrobial treatment that is several log values higher compared to the singlespecies biofilms(11). This clearly demonstrates that the composition of the biofilm has an impact on the percentage of survivors and that mutual strategies have evolved to cope with stress situations. The ability to survive antimicrobial treatment in a biofilm has been attributed to several potential mechanisms like limited diffusion, adaptive stress response, physiological heterogeneity, and the presence of phenotypic variants. We could see a much higher susceptibility towards both antimicrobials in the Gtf mutans. The resistance seemed to be linked to the glucan production, since there was no difference in percentage of survivors when the mutans were grown with or without sucrose.
sorry with the amount of time left on the current book i dont think i will be able to sort it out, however if the book does not sell i will relist and send to japan.
He'd invented the process shot and founded the Photo Research Corporation, had worked with Fritz Lang and F.W.Murnau in Germany, then shot some of Hollywood's most beautiful movies of the 1930s:he had conceived the“butterfly ending” of All Quiet on the Western Front. Yet there he was, as a favor to Lucy Ball, working at rock-bottom union scale to create a system for filming sitcoms. And it worked, too. The“three-headed monster,”as Freund called it, is still the model for situation comedy shooting, although videotape has replaced film.
Fig. 5. PCA of the compositional relationships of the CKB species between the microplate microcosm plaques. (A) Effect of different artificial saliva media and 0.15% sucrose supplementation on microbiota composition after 10 days of growth, in relation to the saliva inoculum (D1) in Experiment T. The plaques differentiated according to media type and sucrose supplementation, and were quite different to the saliva inoculum (D1); (B) Effect of artificial saliva (DMM) volume, supplemented with either 0.15% or 0.5% sucrose, on microbiota composition after 4 days of growth, in relation to saliva inoculum (D2), in Experiment U. The plaques differentiated according to sucrose supplementation, with some differences associated with the volume of DMM; (C) Comparison of microbiota composition of the microplate plaques grown in the artificial saliva medium DMM from Experiment T and U after 7 days of growth, in response to 0.15% sucrose supplementation and in relation to the initiating saliva (D1 and D2 respectively). The plaques differentiated according to the initiating saliva, and plaques from Experiment U showed a greater degree of response to sucrose supplementation. In both Experlments, composition of the plaques was quite different from the initiating saliva (D1 and D2). Experiment T, the composition profiles were influenced by the different growth responses of individual species to sucrose (Fig. 6).
In both experiments the presence of sucrose in the growth medium appeared to limit the decline of Streptococci over time, but did not appear to increase the relative abundance of mutans Streptococci (Figs 3,4 and 6). Supplementation of DMM with 0.15% sucrose yielded increased abundance of Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium dentium, Actinomyces gerensceriae and Actinomyces naeslundii. In addition to these species, supplementation of DMM with 0.5% sucrose resulted in increased levels of Streptococcus vestibularis, Actinomyces israelii, Rothia dentocariosa, Capnocytophaga gingivalis and Gemella morbillorum (P<0.05).
The composition of the two saliva inocula used in the two experiments was different (Fig. 5C) and yielded differences in the microbiota composition of the microplate plaques and in the degree of response to 0.15% sucrose supplementation (Fig. 5B). For some species, such as Streptococcus parasanguinis, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Eikenella corrodens and Veillonella parvula, levels were almost double in DMM with 0.15% sucrose from Experiment T (P<0.05), whereas with 0.15% sucrose supplementation in Experiment U, levels of some species, including Streptococcus sobrinus, L. acidophilus and Actinobacillus gerensceriae, were nearly double (P>0.05). For both experiments, development was comparable, and the effect of sucrose supplementation on microbiota composition was most apparent in the first few days.
Whatever else we learned at school, like solemn afro-Greeks eager for grades, of Helen and the shades of borrowed ancestors, there are no rites for those who have returned ... only this fish-gut reeking beach whose spindly, sugar-headed children race whose starved, pot-bellied children race pelting up from the shallows because your clothes, your posture seem a tourist's ... all this you knew, but never guessed you'd come to know there are homecomings without home.

Why not foot, leg or torso dancing? The answer seems to lie in the original religious nature of belly dancing. The belly is the center of fertility, the area where the child is nurtured and developed. The importance of the belly has remained even after many of the original religious meanings have disappeared. There is nothing quite like being caught up in the excitement of a belly dance.
Only by seeing with your own eyes the dancer twist and sway back and forth to the sensuous music, can you being to appreciate the talent, beauty and remarkable agility of a skillful belly dancer.

In terms of glamour, prestige and excitement nothing beats being an air stewardess. At least that's the belief of young Japanese women, especially the thousands who apply each year for the job. After all, the job involves traveling the globe, staying in luxurious hotels in the most exotic cities on the planet, and hobnobbing with some of the world's most eligible bachelors. Yet behind this popular image is a grim reality, according to Yomiuri Weekly. The fact is, Japanese stewardesses, or cabin attendants as they're officially called, are these days overworked, underpaid and forced to labor in an unhealthy environment. "The pay and working conditions have gotten harsher and harsher. The reality is that you can't even live on the wages, "grumbles a cabin attendant identified only as Tomoko. 続きます
The pinch came in the early 1990s, when the country's two top airlines, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, abolished the status of "regular employee" for newly hired cabin attendants. Ever since, these workers have been taken on as contracted employees, who aren't paid bonuses and receive little in the way of benefits. At Japan Airlines, for example, the basic hourly pay for such workers is a paltry 1,100 yen an hour. For every hour spent working inside an aircraft, they get an additional 700 yen and a hotel allowance of around 5,000 yen when on the road. A typical monthly salary amounts to 180,000 yen, hardly enough to make ends meet for the many who don't live with their families. Indeed, the most popular area to live for young stewardesses working flights that connect to Tokyo's Haneda Airport is nearby Kamata, a gray and gritty district whose prime appeal is its low-cost housing. Tomoko confides, "Some of them, when not working, supplement their incomes by moonlighting at McDonald's, doing janitor work or handing out flyers." According to Mami Nakano, a lawyer specializing in labor issues, the plight of stewardesses is the direct result of increasingly severe competition that's hammering Japan's airline industry. "The airlines respond by cutting labor costs. And an easy target is the pay of the cabin attendants, who are seen to be in a weak position. But this problem isn't happening only to the airline industry; it's shared by all of Japan's large corporations. The plight of cabin attendants is really a parable for all of Japanese industry."
I'm very sorry that it's taken me so long to reply to your last email I had a lot of work to catch up on when I returned to my job and my classes. I missed the entire final two weeks of school, and I had to take all of my final exams while I finished the work and tests I missed. My friend Jacob is terrible with emails, so he forgot to remind me.
that was easy the coins are not exactly what you think it is actually that stacked coins is whole and there is nothing inside (HOLLOW) did you notice the cap? take a careful look at the sides of the cap and you will notice the difference
I heard in the news that Japan experienced an earthquake a few days ago. Were you affected directly by it?I am sorry I didn't get a chance to respond to you sooner, but I've been very busy. I am looking for a new job and I'm also thinking of moving to another state, so I haven't had much free time.I currently work in a research lab for Lithographic Inks. I'm happy that you had a great time with your friends that day. I am from Jamaica, so I don't get to see a lot of the people I grew up with, since I'm now living in New York. I have been living here for nine years and I've now decided that I need a change of environment. I would love to move to Tokyo, but I suppose it would be difficult to find a job there since I don't speak Japanese. I'm planning on taking dome Japanese classes soon.

I live outside the UK. Will you mail my tickets to me? It is not always possible to post tickets overseas. You will need to collect them at the venue, if: - the tickets would normally be despatched by secure mail (4.80pounds transaction fee), or - the event is less than 20 days away.
In these circumstances, or if you have requested to collect your tickets from the venue, they are available for collection one hour prior to the start of the performance. Please take the card you booked with, and quote your reference number when you collect your tickets.
The first episode introduces us to Ricky Ricard,a moderately successful Cuban bandleader with a regular gig in a New York club, and his restive, scheming wife,Lucy. Their older neighbors,Fred and Ethel Mertz, are about to celebrate their eighteenth wedding anniversary and want to include the Ricardos. Trouble starts when the sexes split on how best to celebrate: Lucy and Ethel want to go to a nightclub,Ricky and Fred to a boxing match. The wives get huffy and announce that they'll go to a nightclub without the men,and they may even take dates of their own. Ricky and Fred, desperate to avoid being outmaneuvered, decide to show up at the same club with other women. Ricky gets a female friend to agree to line up a couple of girls and send them to the Ricard apartment. Sisterhood, however,is powerful; Ricky's friend blabs to Lucy.
There were other production nightmares to come, but as if by sheer force of will, the comedienne and her bandleader pounded through them and made their show. On Monday,October 15,1951,right after Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, right across from NBC's Lights Out and ABC's Curtain Up,I Love Lucy made its debut. Rating were high. Reviews were glowing. Word of mouth was even better. While CBS was still fretting over the letdowns of Amos 'n' Andy and Burns and Allen,Lucille Ball had sneaked up and handed the network the sitcom hit it had been hungering for.
A recent New York Times poll on class found that 40 percent of Americans believed that the chance of moving up from one class to another had risen over the last 30 years, a period in which the new research shows that it has not. お願いします!
Experts say the root of the violence may lie in growing alienation among youths in Japan. "Young people are feeling increasingly disenfranchised by society," said Masachi Osawa, a professor of sociology at Kyoto University. "Any tiny thing, like being asked to give up a seat on a train, can light a fire under that anger." Japan's rail system has enjoyed such a reputation for safety that it is still common to see businessmen snoozing, mouths hanging open, as they return home from a bottoms-up drinking session with colleagues. Trains have long been the pride of Japan-the Japanese equivalent of the Swiss watch. If a timetable promises the inbound at 17 past the hour, you can pretty much bet it'll appear with quartz-like precision.

Pop art shows everyday objects large and close up. Warhol´s large paintings of objects such as bananas and Campbell´s soup cans made people see the beauty of everyday things. Warhol said,゛I paint things I always thought beautiful-things you use every day and never think about.゛
Since much of this theorizing comes in the manner of manifestoes, a certain exaggeration is perhaps to be expected. It is not true that traditional Japanese art was not subject to hierarchy. In fact there was a strong sense of high and low. Cultivated aristocrats who attended Noh performances would not have been seen dead in the baroque and raucous Kabuki theaters. The refined scroll and folding screen paintings of the Kano School(狩野派), mostly done in the Chinese literati-style, were bought by upper-class samurai, most of whom would have treated woodblock prints of courtesans and merchants as the height of vulgarity. Some rich merchants cultivated a taste for "high" art too, but they would have been regarded as snobs, just as samurai with a bent for low life would have been seen as dissolute (hence their need for disguise in the Yoshiwara quarter).
If the tourist beomes upset in the midst of the excitement, the local usually pays the price. But these strange people sometimes give away token gifts to locals, even money.
長いですけど、お願いします! Individuals differ greatly in the degree in which culture shock affects them. Although not common, there are individuals who cannot live in foreign countries. However, those who have seen people go through culture shock and on to a satisfactory adjustment can discern steps in the process.
Embarrassment is probably the only emotion that is triggered by different causes depending on one’s culture and upbringing. Fear, love, hate, joy and all of the other emotions tend to be caused by very similar elements on a universal basis, whereas something that embarrasses a Japanese person may generate no feelings whatsoever in the heart of a person brought up in Great Britain.
It is therefore safe to say that feelings of embarrassment depend on cultural backgrounds and different perceptions of social manners. For example, people in Britain have no qualms about eating while walking down the street. They will also quite happily whistle and sing quietly to themselves in public areas, regardless of how many people are within hearing distance. It is also not unusual for people to strike up conversations with complete strangers. The fact that this would seem embarrassing to some cultures of the world would astound most people in Britain.Basically,British people really don’t care how other people see them;particularly if those people are total stragers who have no influence over their lives. This does not mean that the British are incapable of feeling embarrassment. It simply means that their concept of embarrassment is different from people of other cultures.
One of the reasons for this is Britain’s individualistic upbringing. There is an adage that says,“You won’t succeed in life if you worry what other people think,”and this sort of mentality is taught to children from an early age.British Children are also taught to respect other people’s privacy,so they rarely pass comment on unusual behavior or clothes.
The things that embarrass the British the most tend to be concentrated around manners.Of course, manners are also subjective and differ from country to country, but British parents tend to be quite strict with their children with regard to their concept of manners. For example, children are taught never to push into a queue, but to line up at the end. They are also given strict rules on table manners, and it is a fact that a lot of British people still prefer to eat hamburgers and pizzas with a knife and fork, despite the recent influx of American culture into Great Britain.
And one of the biggest taboos is to make a noise while eating. For this reason, most British people find eating noodles very embarrassing.
In this little drama is the essential dynamic of all the early I Love Lucy shows. The boys and girls come to a screeching impasse. Both parties are being too bullheaded, but it's the girls who overreact with the first extravagant scheme to gain the upper hand. The boys try to outmaneuver them, fail, and are nearly beaten. Then Lucy's hubris catches up to her. She comes crashing down in a humiliating exposure(thanks, conveniently, to the sponsor's product, a pack of cigarettes). Domestic harmony is restored, but not in compromise. The patriarch's will is done. His one concession is a kiss of forgiveness for the little woman.
Dental plaque biofilms consist of complex communities of oral bacteria with hundreds of species present and they are a challenge to replicate in vitro.Microcosms represent laboratory systems that have been derived from natural ecosystems and which attempt to simulate the conditions prevailing in the environment under study.Several continuous flow microcosm models have been developed to study dental plaque biofilms, including chemostat-based systems , the constant-depth film fermenter , multiple Sorbarod devices and , in our laboratory , the multiplaque artificial mouth. Most of these systems require specialist equipment and their maintenance is labor intensive. However, the plaque biofilms that are generated from these microcosm systems appear to reflect the complexity, diversity and heterogeneity of in vivo plaques, and allow their study under controlled conditions.Microtiter plants have been used to generate up to 96 individual biofilms under batch culture and cotinuous flow conditions, although typically as monocultures.Consortia-based plaque models grown in 24-well microplates include those based on a model of supragingival plaque comprising five species established on hydroxyapatite and these have further advanced our understanding of plaque ecology.
What is recycling? Recycling is the process of converting trash into something that can be used again. This process is an alternative to disposal. Recycling reduce the amount of trash sent to landfills and incinerators. Recycling begins when you separate recyclable items from your trash. Newspapers, plastic bottle, glass containers, and aluminum and metal cans are the most commonly recycled household items. But some communities recycle cardboard, advertising mail, phone books, and many other items as well. Once collected, recycling items go to a materials-recovery facility. There the items are Sorted further; for example, tin cans are separated from aluminum cans. Then they are sold to companies that will reprocess the items into new products or packaging. Collecting recyclables can be costly for communities: it require special trucks, extra drivers, and investments in materials recovery facilities. The prices that recyclables sell for may not cover the collection cost. The price that communities can get for recyclables depends on the demand from recycled products. Companies have little? incentive for making products if no one will buy them. Many communities believe that the few? of recycling outweigh the drawbacks and that recycling has an important part to play in the way we manage our trash. Some waste-management experts believe that as much as two-thirds of the trash we generate could be recycled. A number of communities are well on the way to meeting that goal.
