The capability of a process is some measure of the proportion of in-specification items the process produces when it is in a state of statistical control.
A procedure used for finding the equation of a straight line which provides the best linear approximation for the relationship between the independent and dependent variables is the correlation analysis.
Your answer rejoiced me. I was afraid, that you will not answer me. For me is very nice if can I correspond with you in the future. Our calendar is already in printig-office. We was in hurry. Our book designer found somewhere names of months in japanese symbols... Big thanks for your good-will. I appreciate your doing very much. The situation in your work isn´t enviable. In our gallery we have got a lot of work, but mostly is there good-felowship.
When I'm down and out without the strength to carry on The sun still reaches your hair as it's always done Will I ever see you again, just one last time? Anyhow I cannot feel any peace of mind
To be happy,a man must feel,firstly,free and,secondly,important.
He cannot be really happy if he is compelled by society to do what he does not enjoy doing,or if what he enjoys doing is ignored by society as if of no value or importance.
When the residual esotropia is greater than the 10△ microtropia/monofixation range, different treatment approaches are generally taken. First, due to the larger angles of esotropia, these patientsare often unable to fuse. Adult patients may complain of diplopia and the pediatric patients may quickly begin to develop amblyopia.
I am hot! Nothing but from everywhere.Okay,it's my driveway and nobody's got his hand in my face, but this is amazing. Fifteen in a row, the last one from the middle of the street.I wish that jerk who wrote SLOW RLEASE,SLOW FEET on a scouting report could see me now. お願いします
Democratic Party of Japan member Yoshiro Yokomine, elected last month to the Upper House, filed a damages lawsuit Tuesday against publisher Shinchosha Publishing Co. and his former girlfriend for defamation of character over a recently published article. Headlined "Giin Shikkaku" ("Disqualified as a Diet member"), the article appeared in the Aug. 22 edition of the weekly magazine Shukan Shincho. In it, Yokomine's ex-girlfriend alleges the lawmaker made large sums of money betting on his golf games. The father of renowned professional golfer Sakura Yokomine, the DPJ lawmaker is known by the nickname "Sakura Papa."
The JSA executive committee members gave the green light to Asashoryu's return to Mongolia in an hourlong emergency meeting nearly a month after they suspended the grand champion from the next two tournaments and his illness subsequently surfaced. The JSA said the decision was made "unanimously" despite earlier press reports that some senior officials were adamant that Asashoryu should receive treatment in Japan. JSA Chairman Kitanoumi said the latest action by sumo's governing body was taken out of respect for the doctor's opinion.

To most people in Great Britain the colonial protest against taxation without representation seemed a hypocritical quibble, and it is probably true that in 1764 many of the protesters had not thought the argument through.
We all remember the case when Dr Kumagai was first called "Painless". It was said that the only person who found it painless to work on it with Kumagai was the victim - and he was dead.

There are many kinds of loneliness. Hilary was too young to experience that loneliness which is at once a criticisms of life and our relation to it; the feeling that we can never share with any one our deepest feelings; that all that is most personal to ourselves must remain locked for ever in our hearts; that from birth to death we are strangers to our fellow-humans; that life is a series of superficial contacts, brief or long, sad or happy; that as no one in the last analysis means much to us, 「so can we matter only to those to whom we are of material assistance, and to those only in the measure that our assistance is great or little; 」 that feeling he was too young to know. The loneliness of a new boy's first days at school is the loneliness of one who, returning at the day's close to dismal and solitary lodgings, gazes wistfully across at a London square's lighted windows; they represent everything in the world he longs for and has not got. Happiness exists. But he is apart from it.
The Japanese research of the internet usage on the broad band is fraudulent because NTT west, momopoliezed half of the telephone lines in Japan, tells a lie that we have covered all of any cities' commucomunicating lines, though they don't cover all the lines there.
They made the ISDN system as an obsolete boardband line service, but they changed metal lines between site and site into optical lines. so that, they can't provided ADSL servises for all the custermers.
NTT cann't provide all optical lines for any customers, but they'll sell the service as they could provide epoctic broad band services with all home in the west part of Japan. They tell a lies also in the stock marcket.

If either of these cases occurs, occlusion therapy should be initiated . If possible,Fresnel prisms can be placed on the lenses to either eliminate diplopia or encourage binocularity. Placement of these prisms in younger patients should occur after treatment of all amblyopia and after the alignment is felt to be relatively stable.

Why is a fish much more efficient at moving through the water than a ship with a propeller? Well,a propeller creates a ling spinning stream of water called a vortex that stretches behind the ship, robbing energy and slowing the ship down. But the flapping tail of a fish is quite different. As it sweeps to one side,it creates say a clockwise spinning vortex in the water. But when the tail flips back in the other direction, it creates an anticlickwise vortex. THE next step is the key to the efficiency of the fish.
On February 19, 2002, Nintendo of America invoked the DMCA and sent a letter to Zophar's Domain demanding that they stop selling Gameboy Advance Flash Linkers and turn over remaining stock to Nintendo. They stopped selling the devices, but the stock was never confiscated.
Zophar's Domain does not provide ROMs, ISOs or BIOSes, and as such has been able to remain within the laws of copyright. The video game soundtrack section is a notable exception, and although ZD had been the subject of video game industry attention for other issues, the soundtrack archives have never yet come under legal attack (as of December 2006).

Where do people from Japan tend to go on holiday usually? do they go to other parts of the country as opposed to travelling abroad? I have been spending this summer deciding what type of job I would like to pursue in my future, and have decided that I would like to teach children as I have a background of working with them and have realised that it would be a very rewarding and enjoyable career route to take. So it is that I will not be sitting on a train reading financial newspapers as you have noticed the women in Japan doing! What work is it that you do? I'm sure you would find life in England very different to your own also,I hope that one day you manage to visit the country. Unfortunately I have no permanent address at the moment as my family are planning on moving very shortly. At present though, I live in a typical English village where my parents enjoy taking walks around the pretty fields and where we have been going blackberry picking most recently. My mum makes a delicious apple and blackberry crumble, which is like a type of pie.I have lived in this village my whole life and the first time I moved away was to go to university in birmingham, which I'm sure you may have heard of.My Dad would like me to ask you if many people in Japan have cars or whether you rely on public transport? Most people here have their own car,if not two, and my dad actually drives a car of Japanese manufacture- a Mitsubishi 'Animal'.

Recitals with Charles Abramovic f ollow in Stavanger (Norway), Köln, Dresden, Schwerin (Germany) and Dubrovnik (Croatia). Back in the U.S. (in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, to be exact), Midori performs Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1.
so we tend to use msn a lot, but I don't go there a lot anymore, it annoys me, it's not real..And people tend not to get what you say, they don't know if you're serious, if you're laughing...etc I do prefer emails, especially with my japanese friend!! And your english wasn't wrong, I just wanted to make clear that I was only a internet friend for you, not something so that you might feel less lonely. I will try my best to email with you as often as I can, and to improve your English, we can still send each other letters, as we said, it's a better way to focus on what you write!! Well, we'll see how things go, as I said, it's better not to promise anything, because one day we can end up to be both too busy! お願いします。
But it is not only the elephant's survival that is at stake, conservationists say. Unlike the endangered tiger, unlike even the great whales, the African elephant is in great measure the architect of its environment. As a voracious eater of vegetation, it largely shapes the forest-and-savanna surroundings in which it lives, thereby setting the terms of existence for millions of other storied animal ─from zebras to gazelles to giraffes─ that share its habitat.
History taught of terrible things which had happened in the past. Weighing in the scale of human happiness against these were the Reform Act, Wilberforce, Mr. Gladstone, and so on. お願いします。

Japan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.6 percent in July, down 0.1 percentage point from the previous month and the lowest reading since February 1998, the government said Friday. The figure, which compared with 3.7 percent as forecast by economists in a Kyodo survey, marked the second straight month of decline and underlined further improvement in the job market, especially for young people, sustained by economic growth.

Thanks all for those who came to my gig at Joe's pub a couple weeks ago. Hope you enjoyed the new stuff I had been working on. As being an artist, it definitely is ideal to be said that my latest work would be the best of all I achieved. Hope again, you say to me like that......:-)
Sorry to be short , but I'll write again soon. I promise. peace,

Since I can't go myself, I'm thinking of asking my brother to go. Since you don't seem to be prepared, let's ask someone else to give the answer. I want to study information technology, since I'm crazy about computers. As every one seems to be present, I think we can begin the discussion. As the lift is out of order, we ask you to use the stairs.

When I was little, I slept with my basketball. Mom's got a picture of me in my Spidey pajamas, both arms around my my first Rawlings. Maybe I'm not the fastest guy in the world, but nobody takes the ball away from me. I wish I didn't have to meet Mary Ann. Or maybe I just wish I didn't have to meet her in the pasture. I for sure can't go until I miss. No way am I stopping when I'm on a run like this.
The undiluted genshu variety comes with a relatively high level of alcohol (up to 20 percent alcohol by volume) and a full-throated roar of flavors. If you think that sounds a long way from the light and crisp summertime ideal, you are quite right. The trick is to whop some ice cubes into a glass, and pour cold genshu over them. A kaleidoscopic variety of sensations result from the unceasingly changing tastes, liberated as the temperature and level of alcohol shift.

The word "cyborg" usually brings to mind the futuristic world of science fiction movie and novels. The word was created in 1960 by Manfred Clynes and Nathan Kline to refer to mechanically enhanced future human beings who would be able to survive in extraterrestrial environments. Yet cyborgs――at least primitive ones――have a longer history, and they exist here,in our world today.

It had been all very well to work away in the distant calm of laboratories, committed to the Allied cause and content to accept that what was done with the results was not their decision. But the picture and reports which soon went round the world made them realize their special part in the Allied victory.
The scientists had stressed all along that this was a weapon without precedent, in need of thorough testing and fit for use only far from civilizaion as a threat to encourage surrender. Furthermore, official reassurence had been given along these lines. But this defence was also rejected, on the grounds that naivety about the working of political decisions in wartime would not suffice. Scientists, in sum, had a duty to understand not only the power they were wresting from nature but also the hands into which they were putting it.

Four billion packets of free tissues are distributed every year in Japan, a large proportion of which end up in my apartment. I just went through the places they collect, including a kitchen drawer and a basket just inside our entranceway, and found give-away tissues from travel agencies, consumer finance companies, fitness clubs, optical chains, banks and a fair number of drinking establishments. The most interesting find, if I exclude the one with an offer for a "massage" by a beautiful foreign blonde, was a pack with recruiting information for Japan's Self-Defense Forces.
Why would such a range of organizations use tissues to promote their message? Because, in Japan, tissue-marketing is a proven and inexpensive way to advertise. For a cost of as little as \10 to \25 you can get your message directly into the hands of potential customers. What's more, consumers who accept the tissues are likely to actually read your advertisement. If you're lucky, they'll look it over several times before the tissues are used up.
In a recent Internet survey of over 100,000 Japanese consumers conducted by Marsh Research, 76 percent said they accept free tissues. (That's a much higher acceptance rate than for leaflets.) When asked if they look at the advertisement accompanying the tissues, slightly more than half said they either "definitely look" or "at least glance at" the advertisement. When asked why, many respondents said they hoped to find a coupon or special offer. Yet others displayed a very Japanese sense of obligation for having received a gift, giving answers like "sekkaku kubatte kuretakara (because they were so kind to have given me something)" and "yappari moratta ijo minai to shitsurei ni naru ka na to omo tame (given that I accepted them, I figure it would be rude not to look).

I am sure you do not think that I would merely copy his foems, without the ontent; if it were so, I should feel such distaste, and such emptiness, that I could never finish a piece.”
“If it has similarity to Seb. Bach, again, I cannot do anything about it, for I wrote it just according to the mood I was in... I am sure you do not think that I would merely copy his forms, without the content; if it were so, I should feel such distaste, and such emptiness, that I could never finish a piece.”
As you surmised, the concept of tissue-pack marketing was indeed developed in Japan. It dates back to the late 1960s, when Hiroshi Mori, the founder of a paper-goods manufacturer in Kochi Prefecture called Meisei Industrial Co., was sniffing around for ways to expand demand for paper products. At the time, the most common marketing freebie in Japan was boxes of matches, often given away by banks and used primarily by women in the kitchen.
Figuring tissues would have wider appeal (because everyone has to blow their nose, and carry insurance against public toilets with no tissues), Mori developed the machinery to fold and package tissues into easy-to-carry pocket-size packs. The new product was marketed only as a form of advertising and wasn't sold to consumers. Even now, pocket tissues hardly exist as a retail category in Japan because everyone expects to receive them for free.
figure it would be rude not to look).
Japan is still the main market for tissue-pack advertising, but the practice is beginning to spread overseas. A subsidiary of Japanese trading giant Itochu International, Adpackusa.com, introduced tissue marketing in New York in 2005 and now offers it throughout the United States.
"Our first clients were Japanese companies, who were already familiar with the concept, but as awareness of the medium increased, U.S. companies began to adopt tissues as a way to promote their brands," says Adpack's Hiroyuki Fukui. Clients include Commerce Bank, PNC Bank, H.R. Block, Kaiser Permanente and Zagat.

What a pleasure it is to hear from you! I am so sorry that I didn't receive your earlier emails. They were probably delivered to my "junk" folder and I am very bad at checking that folder. It will not happen again as I've added your email address into my contacts so anything coming from you will now go to my "inbox" folder. Regarding the height of young women in Japan, that may be a very good sign that Japanese girls are getting better nutrition and health care. Generally, I have read that greater height and better nutrition are correlated.Recently,I have read that the US is not doing so well in this area.I guess we used to be among the world's tallest people, but now we lag behind the other rich Western nations. It could be that so many Americans have poor eating habits - they fill themselves with junk food. But getting back to the young Japanese women, perhaps part of it is the fact that they run around in high heels alll day. Was it like that ten years ago? How do they do that anyway? They look so elegant, but my feet would be killing me!
Regarding women in the workplace,I am one of those women.I have a master's degree in business, I am a Certified Public Account, I am a Certified Fraud Examiner and I am finishing work on a certification in business valuations (that is why it has taken me over a month to get back with you.) But as much as things improve it is hard for women in the workplace. I think current statistics show that we only make seventy-something cents for every dollar that a man makes for the same work. Our biology hurts us-maternity leave and childcare obligations.I recently interviewed for a very demanding (long hours) job and although it is illegal here to ask someone about their family obligations during interviews my interviewer shared his family status in what seemed to me to be a ploy to get me to offer more information. He clearly did not want to work with a woman on the mommy track. I wonder why they bothered interviewing me - it was a waste on my time. Other Western nations do a lot better for their women than the US. Many parts of Europe are ahead of us. From everything I hear, Japan is changing very rapidly. I just took one day off at the end of July for a family reunion in Pennsylvania. It was fun. I took vacations earlier this year to go skiing here in California and to visit Hong Kong and see my sister who was living in Beijing (speaking of women in business, she is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.) In November I plan to visit Spain.Well, I had better run. I still have lots of work to do if I am going to earn that business valuation credential.
As for my health after my surgery,it's continuing hopefully to be good (I am having medical controls every 6 months). My elder daughter sat for her "baccalaureat" ,an exam which comes at the end of her secondary school studies and she did very very well. We are very proud of that. Next week she will start university and will study law as she would like to be a juge. I am back to my work as a flight attendant as usual now and my next flight will be to New York. I am happy to go there as I haven't been there for a year. I have asked for a flight to Tokyo in October but I don't know yet if I will get it.
I personally would not hesitate to eat a GM vegetable -it is unlikely that the current modifications are harmful to the consumers, despite what we read in newspapers. However, the introduction of animal genes into food plants creates many moral problems for vegetarians and people whose religions don't allow the eating of certain animals. This is one of the reasons people are demanding that all GM food products be clealy ladeled. The public have a right to know what they are eating -and a right to choose.
I believe that in my own country, Britain, GM foods are well controlled, but this cannot be said for some other countries. One of the problems is that at the moment this technology is controlled by business. Because the conpanies developing GM foods want to introduce them as quickly as possible, in my opinion, the technology is being developed without enough reserch or precautions. Genetic modification is here to stay, and it will surely save lives. But like so many other new ideas -such as splitting the atom- it can be seriously misused. Instead of criticizing the technique, we shoud make sure it is used carefully. We need to evaluate each application carefully, from environmental and moral concerns, and we must tell goverments and companies to use it for good rather than for greed.

David: You seem quieter than usual today, Rika. What’s wrong? Rika: Thanks for asking, David. I’m just having a horrible day. D: You mean the way your hair looks? R: What’s wrong with my hair? D: Relax! Your hair’s fine. I’m just kidding. R: That’s not funny at all, David! I really am having an awful day. Nothing seems to go right. D: I’m sorry, Rika. I shouldn’t joke about your troubles. Tell me what went wrong. R: Everything! I woke up late this morning and had to rush to class, but in my hurry, I forgot to bring my math homework. D: Oh, that’s too bad. Did you run bank home to get it? R: Yes, I did, but it had fallen behind my desk, and I had a lot of trouble finding it.

You’re a good friend.
B : Not only the cooking but the language was difficult. Everything was in German.
A : German! Were you good at foreign languages when you were a student?
B : I'm afraid I wasn't. When I came to Austria , I only knew a few German words. Before I took the exam at the age of twenty-nine , I had seven years' experience as a cook in Austria. That work experience taught me how to speak German. I'd say that I acquired the language rather than learned it. I didn't have enough time to use a dictionary. I learned new words as I came across them. There are some Germon words that I don't know how to put info Japanese.
A : Did you have any other problems?
B : Since I only had one chance , there was a lot of pressure. But I only thought about passing the test. I never thought about failing.
The human race is made up of individuals, but each is born and for the most part lives his life in a group context. Between various societies there can be great differences in the relative emphasis placed on the individual and the group. Certainly no difference is more significant between Japanese and Americans, or Westerners in general, than the greater Japanese tendency to emphasize the group, somewhat at the expense of the individual. The Japanese are much more likely than Westerners to operate in groups or at least to see themselves as operating in this way. Where Westerners may at least put on a show of independence and individuality, most Japanese will be quite content to conform in dress, conduct, style of life, and even thought to the norms of their group.
Nothing is valid except that which has flowed in deepest sincerity from the innermost soul... If the object alone has not given rise to the work, it will never “pass from heart to heart” and consequently imitation is the same as the most superficial appearance of the most foreign thoughts.
Samuel ButlerのErewhonから。「 」部の和訳お願いします。何言ってるのかわからない。 Even in England a man on board a ship with yellow fever is held responsible for his mischance, no matter what his being kept in quarantine may cost him. He may catch the fever and die; we cannot help it; he must take his chance as other people do; 「but surely it would be desperate unkindness to add contumely to our self-protection, unless, indeed, we believe that contumely is one of our best means of self-protection.」 Again, take the case of maniacs. We say that they are irresponsible for their actions, but we take good care, or ought to take good care, that they shall answer to us for their insanity, and we imprison them in what we call an asylum (that modern sanctuary!) if we do not like their answers. This is a strange kind of irresponsibility. What we ought to say is that we can afford to be satisfied with a less satisfactory answer from a lunatic than from one who is not mad because lunacy is less infectious than crime.
No one can prevent me from enjoying and continuing to work at what the great masters have bequeathed to me, because not the everyone should start from scratch, but it should be a continued working from one's own powers, not a lifeless repetition of what already.

My parents at the end of the line (the Calgray train). We are waiting in the rain and they said that so far since they have been here,it has only rained 5 days, three of which have been during my visit! This day we took the train to the Mango Shiva,an Indian restaurant that highlighted fresh vegetables. I put hot sauce on everything, even the vegetable dish that had fresh jalepenos in it. We then walked around in the plus 15 which is a walkway that connects many buildings downtown. It is much like the malls in California as it is lined with shops and people in suits and high heels, glossy nails and pommaded highlighted hair. The padres and myself hit up the bookstore and bought Cultureshock! in Korea as well as a lonely planet Korean phrase book. I also got 1984 by Orwell, esp because a French Canadian named Guy Delisle read it while in N. Korea gathering material to write his comic, Pyongyang: A journey in North Korea. To check out the comic, see: http://www.amazon.com/ Gosh, i'm the rambling queen. I'm not sure how I got here.So then we headed to the Devonian gardens which is essentially many beautiful plants and flowers that you can see year round in a controlled climate. This is probably especially nice when it is 20 below out and you are yearning for some sense that things are still alive. But it was a bunch of greens, surrounded by white walls. The idea of an indoor year round garden is a nice one, but it ends up being a weird juxtaposition and sorta ugly. This is connected to the indoor mall on the +15.
I was thinking about that this afternoon, but I'd really like to pend some of my youth in Japan, have japanese friends, discover the japanese hanging out, meet a lot of japanese boys, be considered as the french girl ^^ I don't know it must be interesting, even if it's maybe not so different of spending my youth in France :) It's just sometimes I have the impression of not enjoying my youth enough, and not realizing that it won't always be like this. But now that I'll be in college, maybe it will be different!! I will se my friends more, I mean I hope so, because I don't really my friends here much, even I know they care about me! I have the impression of not doing anything to change this situation, but I don't really know what I could do either, it's strange...I know I'm pretending to have excuses, but I can't help it! Besides, 3 months of holidays is really long, I'm starting to get bored :) Hopefully, I did really great trips this year, otherwise I don't know how I would have stand the year...I also noticed that not seeing my friends a lot (and not having a boyfriend....bouuuhhh), helped me to get closer to my family, and I think it's something you can't forget!
Then I don't know, going to bars of course, to the cinema I guess, to the disco, I'd like to, but I will have to be good friend with the person!! And it makes me laugh, because a person that my friend flora knows will also move to NY this year, and she absolutely wants to introduce him to me ! yes, it's a boy called Tom, he's also 18 I guess, and I saw him once in my life, at a party, but he lives in Boston, so I never saw him again, and now that he will be in NY, my friend flora thinks he would be the perfect boyfriend for me because we l isten to the same music, and becaue we're both really annoying people with your friends hhaahaha :) But I'm sure I'll never see him unless flora tells him the same things that she told me!! She wants me to get his phone number, but I didn't take it, I'll see when I'll be in the university, when I'll really need a friend ^^ I'll tell you more about this, when I'll know more 二つ翻訳お願いします。

The Mariners center fielder got hit No. 200 in the third inning, blasting a home run off New York Yankees star Roger Clemens. Ichiro finished 3-for-5 in the Mariners' 7-1 victory. He's batting .353, No. 2 in the AL behind Magglio Ordonez of the Detroit Tigers (.355).He extended his own major league record for consecutive 200-hit seasons to begin a career to seven. The ex-Orix Blue Wave star joined Willie Keeler and Wade Boggs, both already inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, as the only players in major league history to string together seven straight 200-hit seasons.Keeler is the major league record holder for consecutive 200-hit seasons (1894-1901). Ichiro matched the AL record held by Boggs (1983-1989). He is the only player to accomplish the feat in his first seven major league seasons."Two-hundred hits are always special, no matter what the situation," Ichiro said. In July, Ichiro had his 1,500th career hit in the major leagues, making him the third-fastest player to reach the plateau. His yearly hit totals since joining the Mariners prior to the 2001 season are as follows: 242 for 2001, 208 for 2002, 212 for 2003, the all-time record of 262 for 2004, 206 for 2005 and 224 for 2006.Seattle catcher Kenji Johjima went 1-for-4, while Yankees star Hideki Matsui was hitless in three at-bats.
'Familiarity breeds contempt'. This proverb, Dating from ancient Rome, suggests that a closer acquaintance with someone will result in a lessening of respect. For ordinary employees who see the president of their company only once a year, at a distance , he will always be perfect. But the president's personal assistants know him so well, strong points and weak points , that they will inevitably see him as less of a hero or superman.
Similarly, one of Aesop's Fables describes how the fox becomes less scared of the lion after they have met several times. The same is true of jobs and activities. Familiarity evem with dangerous jobs may sometimes make people forget to be careful

David’s diary(june 20): My new home is fantastic. I have my own bedroom with a desk, bed, VCR, TV, and CD player. I’m really fond of my host family, but I wish they wouldn’t treat me like I’m so special.
Ms. Tanaka’s diary(June 27): We like David, but we are a bit worried that he might be unhappy. Each morning I make a delicious lunch for him to take to school, and I prepare special dishes for him at dinner, but he doesn’t seem grateful. Why?
David’s diary (June 27): My host mom likes to make a special lunch for me to take to school every day. I don’t need a special lunch. Also, she doesn’t need to make special dishes for me every night. I don’t know how to let her know this politely.

David’s diary (June 29): Tonight talked to Ms. Tanaka. I told her I didn’t want to be treated like a special guest in the house. I want to be like an ordinary member of the family. Upon arriving in Calgary, the first thing we did was drive by Chinatown I was exhausted as I have been running non-stop for the past two weeks finishing up work (good-bye otis! the day has FINALLY come and it was amazingly un-monumental.but it is good to make peace with a situation and then come to completion),cleaning up my car to sell, making a trip to Chicago to see my grandma and family before jumping the American coop, and Sam's and my second anniversary and on top of that, nursing a cold/sinus infection. So back to Chinatown. We found a bakery that sold wife cakes and cha-su bow(bbq pork buns).I then promptly took a five hour nap.We headed out to the Latin Corner. We started with fried yucca root and a spicy mayonnaise dipping sauce. Then I had a decadent cut of Salmon with a mango/guava chutney followed by a black torte(chocolate! yum). This restaurant is owned by an Indian woman who grew up in Kenya and then immigrated here. The food was amazing.

It was not Plato and Aristotle who introduced God or the gods, once only the subject of myth and the object of ceremonial worship, to the scrutiny of logos; nor, once introduced, did the supernatural surrender its more traditional hold on the minds and hearts of the Greeks.

I'm sure that if I have the occasion one day, I will feel all guilty and stuff, and I tend to care about someone really easily, so one night relationships are not the good way to feel guilty or to have remorses...
You know, people always talk about the Japanese being prejudiced against foreigners. While many are, I really think that they're a minority that just gets a lot of attention. In retrospect, many are extra friendly towards foreigners (as if the Japanese aren't from the politest culture on Earth as it is). I've had a lot of good experiences, like the old woman who helped me when I was looking at the map. The other day, on the way home from Koenji, we met a really nice old man on the train. He just started talking to us about everything, showing us that he had just come back from purchasing a new hat. He even put it on to show us! People aren't usually that friendly in the states. Sometimes, slightly eccentric elderly people are that way, but that's usually because they are used to seeing people that look like you. For the older people, there's probably an even greater adjustment factor regarding the presence of foreigners, but they haven't reflected any prejudice towards me in my time here. In fact, when I offered an older lady my seat on the train, she politely rejected the offer and then came back to thank me as she was leaving. People don't usually thank you that much, especially if they don't accept the favor you offered them. So far, I have been really impressed by people's acceptance.
My dad always says, "You are what you do, not what you say." Well, what you do makes me cry at night. You say you love us. I challenge you, please make your actions reflect your words!
This was the first CD I ever purchased. I was 13 years old and my friends and I were all going through the POP stage, you know, N*Sync, Backstreet Boys, Britney, Christina, The SPice Girls, and ROBYN...I have to say that even now, 7 years later I still sit and jive to some of this stuff, including this CD which happens to be one of my favorite memory reminders. When I hear Robyn belting out "Do you really want me, am I really special" I can still see my sister at ten running around the house singing along. It feels like yesterday, but alas it's not. I like to remember my past for the soul purpose of appreciating the time I have now. My sister (who has now passed) was a big fan of Robyn, and so I enjoy looking through old pictures of us as kids while listening to this CD. All that aside (I mean what does that matter to the CDNOW.com reader) this is a solid CD by a songbird who dissapeared. I see through my searches that she has put out 2 other CD's, Imports, so I assume they were put out in her native Sweden. That aside, the hits on this CD just flow out of every track. My favorites include 'Just another g/f' 'show me love' and 'bumpy ride'...'do you really love me' has that seseme street kind of background music to it, a little kiddish, but sweet and catchy. Her debut single 'always be around (do me right)' is a great example of good pop song...catchy and the replay value is high...I can still see Robyn dancing on the car in the video...great CD, even better memories...goes to proof a little Robyn is good for the soul. よろしくお願いします。

It is the day before the last day of June 2006. It is early in the morning on a Thursday.Perhaps I should be getting a good night's sleep so I can move the remainder of my belongings out tomorrow as well as study some Korean for my joint lesson with Sam by Erin. But instead I am constantly composing a running lists of 'must-dos' before I leave KC and the country. My house is composed of piles of clothing to get rid of, to keep in storage, and to take to Korea. As well as a ton of other miscellaneous items strewn about. I have managed to give a majority of my furniture to a friend. All of this is fairly boron. I got a call today from the Korean consulate. Sam and I overnighted our materials yesterday and then they called us. I was afraid they would have a problem processing our visa and we would not be able to leave by our intended date of July 9th 2006,a Sunday. All was well and it turned out I just needed to set up a FedEx account so they could send our materials back to us. phew!
Otherwise, my life has consisted of watching bits and pieces of season 4 of Six Feet Under. One of my friends put it nicely today, "I can't wait until that show is over so I can have my life back." It is like an addiction. I was hoping to finish it before going to Korea but it might be nearly impossible. What is more important--seeing friends or finishing the series? It's a close call. I will leave with some breath taking photos of my recent jaunt up to see my parents in Canada. These were taken in the Banff National Forest. My mom can tell you the specific names of the lakes but I have forgotten.

Went to Italy in April, was in the Vatican for Easter Sunday, I went to Pisa, Florence and Venice after Rome. I had a conference in Vicenza for a week, and took the trip afterwards. My family was evacuated for three months out of country because they almost fell into a civil war, but did not. I just came back from another conference. This time I got to go with my family. We spent a week in Paris, a week in Brussels (went to Bruge too) and then I had a week in Frankfurt for the confernce. Things are very busy, I never stop. I am sorry about you friend, I hope she is doing better. What all did you do in Italy? Where did you go, Rome? It is so beautiful, I could definately live there. I have another 6 months at least here in Africa. Here are a few pics:

It was defined geometrically as change from place to place, its rule being that it will continue forever until something stops it -- an obstacle or the friction of the air. Similarly, an object at rest stays put until a force is applied to it. The two statements make up the law of inertia. It is a law not because objects "obey" it -- that again is a skewed interpretation; the law is only a statement of regularity in behavior.

As you can see, the most ordinary things can help scientists make discoveries. Something even things we usually think of as pests can be useful. The French mathematician, Rene Descartes, sat one day watching a fly walk on his ceiling. Instead of hitting the fly, he watched it cross the ceiling, come to a corner, and walk down the wall.

Earlier in the day, Obama made a quick, lunchtime stop to speak to a crowd of about 1,000 eager supporters who gathered on a hillside overlooking the Pacific at Santa Barbara City College. It was his only public appearance of the day. Obama, wearing his usual white shirt open at the collar and sleeves rolled up, shook his way down a line of outstretched hands as the song "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" blared from speakers.
Kuidaore! (Eat till you drop!) goes the old maxim about Osaka. The imperative tone of this statement seems perfectly in tune with the brashness of the culture here. So as a newcomer to Kansai, after a life spent between Kanto and Britain, kuidaore is exactly what I and a couple of friends set out to do one evening. Osakan cuisine is characterized by big, bold dishes, often based on wheat flour. In fact, during the whole evening, we didn't consume one single grain of rice, unusual when eating Japanese

We continued our party onto the fireworks display along the river.Rachael and I had sesame chicken while Isa and Sam shared a sushi plate from Try-aki.This coupled with Champagne(thank you Eric S.!)made McGurgles in our stomaches. It was questionable if we were to make it through the night for the next two hours. The night was topped off by our own fireworks display with Nat Yeh and Isley along the river in the tall grass.Today is one of those days where I really took in all of my surroundings in a a ppreciative silence. I realized how much I appreciated the Kansas sky, some open water, and being around a few friends with a few drinks. The nostalgia of America hit me in an unsentimental way when it dawned on me that I am leaving my country to have much awaited aventures, but that I will probably miss certain comforts, familiarities, and customs of America.I realize that all of this will become more apparent in my travels.

Takahata's been around a while, and at lunchtime you may have to queue, though at this early evening juncture, it's empty. It offers the usual suspects: kitsune udon (thick wheat-based noodles with deep-fried tofu pockets), kare udon (noodles in curry), etc. Also a few interesting ones: beef udon is named "Western," and there is also a miso udon. There are even Popeye and Olive udon: The former contain s kimchee (spicy pickled cabbage), umeboshi (pickled plum) and wakame (kelp); the latter replaces kimchee with takana (leaf mustard).
Takahata makes its udon on the premises from dough brought in from its own prep kitchen. This is what sets any udon place apart from the herd. Look out for teuchiudon (handmade noodles) signs, which should guarantee a noodle better than the norm. Freshly made ones will almost certainly taste better, and have a better texture, than ones that arrive frozen or in a vacuum pack.

After another long day of future, Howe gave up and went to sleep. That night he dreamed that he was being chased by wild men carrying strange spears which had holes in their points. J.F.K. was a nervous man on the morning when Alan Shepard climbed into Freedom 7. Kennedy, who always douted the technical claims of engineers and scientists, watched Shepard's launch for his hands jammed in his pockets, expecting the worst. Yet Shepard went smoothly in and out of space in 15 minutes, and he got the monkey off Kennedy's back. よろしくお願いします。
Ninty percent of people are right-handed,but scientists don't know why. Some say using the right hand is the result of natural development in the brain. Others think it is learned. In their first year of life, babies don't seem to have a favorite hand. But between the ages of one and three, they begin to use one hand more often than (A)

The general engagement with these theories of ideology, subjectivity, discourse and sexual difference was seen by many feminists to offer more complex understanding of the operations of patriachal power and the reproduction of inequality.
・The French child gives one the impression of being intellectually more precocious than the product of the chillier English climate. ・The art of talking to children in the kind of language they understand is so much an English art that most of the French children's favourite books are translations from the English. ・They have little patience with childish ideas even if they do not go so far as to look upon childhood as an unfortunate but necessary prelude to adult life. ・Not that they need to force the child, for he usually lends himself willingly to the process, and enjoys the effect of his unexpectedly clever remarks and quaint sayings and of his sharp judgment of men and things. ・It is not without significance that the French mother instead of applealing to the child's heart by asking him to be good appeals to his reason by asking him to be wise.
Anyway, I checked the box 'I have decided not to renew my contract', signed and dated it and will fax it to the head office tomorrow. As much as I love Japan (well, sometimes), I need to get back to Sydney and find a real job where I can communicate without problems and live like I belong there.
I : Having a big dream and succeeding are important for high school students , too. Do you have a message for them?
K : Before going after a dream , know yourself. In doing many things , you'll find yourself. In human relationships , try to improve yourself , know yourself , and believe in yourself. Then you'll find a dream thay is important to you.
I : What is your future dream?

I : Thank you bery much for your time today. I'm looking forward to my first taste of Austrian food.

I shot my load all over my chest & stomach. He lied on top of me, then licked my cum and said "eghh, so salty, what the hell did you eat?" and winked. This is the day that we decided to take Isa's blow up matress out on the stormy lake of Clinton,in Lawrence,KS.It is here with leftover Miller Lites from our going away party (iewww) that we decided to pretend we were adrift at sea and then later to have raft riding contests.I made it a stunning 14 seconds.Maybe I should have been a bucking bronco rider. It's not too late yet!
How often do we say "Of course I believe it. I saw it with my own eyes!" But can we really be so sure what it is that our eyes tell us? For example, take the simple question, "How big is the moon?"
Job characteristics were also assessed as part of this cohort during the follow-up, demonstrating a moderate degree of stability with 5-year interval correlations
Since no man can be omnipotent, a life dominated wholly by love of power can hardly fail, sooner or later, to meet with obstacles that cannot be overcome. Power kept within its proper bounds may add greatly to happiness, but as the sole end of life it leads to disaster, inwardly if not outwardly.
The whole look now is about not trying. In addition to glasses, the other must-have item for the sexy geek is the sweatshirt and pants set, known in Japan as the jyaajii, or jersey. The Japanese jersey is, at once, nostalgic and embarrassing.
The people we need most are those who we think will best assist us to develop our sense of existence and to defend our selves against the fear of death. The more fiercely we feel this need, the more we see these important people only in relation to us and less as people in their own right.
Since I can't go myself, I'm thinking of asking my brother to go. Since you don't seem to be prepared, let's ask someone else to give the answer. Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen has repeatedly rejected such demands, saying the government cannot be held responsible for the actions of an independent newspaper.

Lighting the Way: Pictures Help People See From Another Point of View;Photography is a revelation, and a learning tool, for visuall impaired students. What would children who are blind show us about the world if they learned to take pictures? The question first occurred to photographer Tony Deifell in 1991, soon after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studied anthropology.A year later, he sought an answer by setting up an experimental photography program, called Sound Shadows,at Governor Morehead School for the Blind,in Raleigh, North Carolina. The state-funded Governor Morehead is North Carolina's only school for the visually impaired;established in 1845,it is one of the oldest in the United States.Sound Shadows was based there for five years, from 1992 to 1997,during which Deifell cotaught thirty-six students ages 12-19 with visual impairments. The kids not only learned how to point and shoot, they also were taught how to use a camera to re-create dreams and express personal vision. In April 2007,Chronicle Books published Seeing Beyond Sight,Deifell's richly illustrated record of his experience at the school. The book features about 150 images from the Sound Shadows program, accompanied by the words of their creators as well as updates on many of the student photographers.

I first fell in love with social justice organizing in the summer of 1968. During the Democratic presidental convention that year,I was among thousands of college students who flocked to Chicago to protest U.S. involuvement in the Vietnam War. We believed that America did not have a good reason to be fighting that war,and that many innocent people were losing their lives. While the protesters were mostly peaceful, the police rioted, chasing the demonstrators with tear gas and night sticks. When I got back home,I had trouble seeing, and I went to the eye doctor. "What have you done to these contact lenses?"he asked me. The tear gas had completely ruined them. But although my lenses were destroyed,my world vision had sharpened. From the time on,I was committed to creating a fairer and more peaceful society,at home and around the world. The experience caused me to redirect my life.

SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium, Sept 13 (Reuters) - World champion Fernando Alonso tried to put a Formula One spy hearing out of his thoughts on Thursday and said he was focused entirely on winning Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.
"I'm not thinking about anything outside here, the paddock," Alonso told a news conference at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. "I have a meeting with the engineer now preparing the strategy for tomorrow, which tyre to use in P1 (first practice), P2 and checking the forecast for the weekend, the setup...any more than this I am not ready to think." Team mate and championship leader Lewis Hamilton joined McLaren bosses at a hearing of the governing body in Paris that could wreck both the drivers' and team's title hopes if they are found to have gained from leaked Ferrari information. "My concentration is 100 percent on this paddock, on winning this race, I'm not thinking even two seconds about anything else," said Alonso. "I will not comment on what is happening today (in Paris)," he added. "I don't think about what can or cannot happen today in Paris, I am not in that matter." Alonso has had an increasingly uneasy relationship with the Mercedes-powered team since he joined at the end of last year from Renault, with whom he won both his titles. The Spaniard is three points behind Hamilton, who has enjoyed long-term McLaren backing and is well established at the team despite his rookie status this season, with four races remaining. Asked why he had not gone to Paris, Alonso replied bluntly: "No comment". His position contrasted to that of the Briton, who made clear to reporters on arrival at the hearing that he had wanted to be there because he was part of the team.
