i didn't know that "I am cold" is standard english. it sounds to me they are cold by themselves.
"i feel cold" sounds natural to me. In japanese word by word translation of "i am cold" is 私 は 寒い。 in japanese, 寒い generally implys cold climate, cold environment . 私は寒い means i am chilly with temperature.
Right now, I am listening to an older song titled "NECESSARY". It is from the band Every Little Thing. I think I like the guitarist, Ichiro, or "Ikkun" as some call him. He is very handsome.
>>6 I'm not 4, but I live in the south and I can answer this question. Hurricane Katrina was very strange and scary. It was strange because so many people were in trouble and the response to help these people was very slow. Many American started to lose confidence in their government. Thankfully, I wasn't in hurricane Katrina.
Sorry if I wrote too much. I hope this answers your questions.
>>4 here... I live far from the coast, so all that we got was a lot of rain. I did have a friend in Louisiana at the time, though, and she said it was bad, even though they weren't hit directly.
So if your boobs become big, your gentleness, kindness, and love and hopes also will grow big accordingly. If your boobs stay small, then you're a wicked, nasty, horrible woman!!!!
You want to know what the world thinks of Korean? we think a hundred years ago you were living in tents in the peninsula licking each others' excrement and that's exactly where you'll be in another hundred - so yes, on behalf of UN, I recommend Ban Ki-moon as Secretary-General.
The Fall of Man 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
And to not be devoid of content... MATSUE, Shimane Pref. (Kyodo) Health minister Hakuo Yanagisawa referred to women as "birth-giving machines" in a speech Saturday on welfare and health care. Addressing prefectural assembly members of the Liberal Democratic Party in Matsue, the 71-year-old Yanagisawa touched on the nation's declining birthrate and said, "The number of women aged between 15 and 50 is fixed. Because the number of birth-giving machines and devices is fixed, all we can ask for is for them to do their best per head, although it may not be so appropriate to call them machines."
>>196 Why don't you worry about what your leader said in his State of the Union Adress than busy-bodying about other contry's issues? Just so you know, other political parties have immediately raised strong objections to his remarks, and some of them have already demanded his resignation. Now go back and do something about the mess your country created in Iraq.
>>196 "I AM NOT AN ANIMAL!" err, "..MACHINE!" ;-) That's exactly that kind of attitude that makes me scared of humanity. That they'll arbitrarily try to reduce me to being a single quality, out of the vast number of qualities I have, and deny me the right to be more than that.
>>198 I didn't bother watching the State of the Union address, because I knew he'd spout nothing but bullshit. I'd love to see him impeached, but that'll never happen. I'm constantly embarrassed about how awful he makes Americans look. There's no good way to deal with Iraq - and even if there were, Bush's pride and hubris wouldn't let him do it.
I humbly apologize for everything Bush has done to fuck up the world.
I was always Street boy type! you know those who dyue hair at early age have girlfriends at early age always up to no good. but when I almost dropped out from high school I changed very much. I started to studing like crazy and got into prestige university.
I bet Hell's father always told to him "study hard" and he had nothing in his childhood days but study. he got sick from it and dropped out from college. and now he is a NEET.
In my opinion, Eastern Asian women and black women should be excluded from figure skating competition. As you know, every people instinctively hope a 'white' woman is a winner though it can be discrimination for an Asian competitor and a black competitor. That's because ugliness makes people all over the world uncomfortable simultaneously.
In my opinion, Eastern Asian women and black women should not be excluded from figure skating competition. As you know, no one instinctively hopes a 'white' woman is a winner, so it cannot be discrimination for an Asian competitor and a black competitor. That's because inner beauty makes people all over the world comfortable simultaneously.
>>215 You don't need told 'TO' him and childhood 'DAYS' In addition, you made some mistakes about tense. Moreover, your sentence is strange. You should study harder.
Sartre was anything but a dude like you. If you will read his book called something like WORDS you will see. he was trendy cool rich talented kid, who always hang out with young parisian hipsters
>>228 I disagree. I think hell lies within one's own mind. After all, regardless of what others do to you, it could never be as bad as what you can do to yourself.
>>239 Kinky? That reminds me, I should re-read Sophie's World some day, it's a fun book. I have read far too little philosophy for my liking, though. I hope I'll get around to reading a lot more some year soon.
>>240 Not quite, but there are tons of more fun people to desire you in this world, than me.
Good evening. Less than an hour ago, hackers from FBI joined others from around the world to bring down *chans everywhere. And you will be launching the largest internet battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united anonymously in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the twenty seventh of January, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to be anonymous. To exist. And should we win the day, the twenty seventh of January will no longer be known as an internet holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will no go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!" We're going to live on anonymously! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our ANONYMOUS DAY!
>>279 Not always, but mostly. As long as it's their native language we usually can talk, even if there might be a few missunderstandments. There are some Swedes who whine about how it's impossible to understand Danish, I'm amused at that, as I have very little problem comprehending it (Where I am is not too far away from Denmark, as well as that I sometimes used to watch Danish tv-channels as a kid, for the cartoons, etc). Norwegian/Swedish/Danish sort of like very different dialects of the same language, only with different grammar rules, sounds and words. ;-D Norwegian for instance, has a very sing-song kind of speech pattern. Danish on the other hand sounds like the bastard child of "Scandinavian" and German. (note that no such language as "Scandinavian" exists.)
Bush said. "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
>>284 Hmm... Whether it is without or with difficulty, I think that depends on the person. Their own dialect as well as where they grew up definitely is a factor, I think... However, Swedes shouldn't have a big problem with getting the general gist of a message or speech in either language, even if they may be fuzzy about the details. I think the biggest problems prolly are the pronounciation/dialects and the different words/false friends. False friends as in words that resemble a word in one's own language, but doesn't at all mean the same. To take a Danish-Swedish example. "Blöd" (it's supposed to have a danish "ö", not a Swedish one, though) looks like "blöt". However, the Danish "blöd" means 'soft', and the Swedish "blöt" means 'wet'.
>>287 they looks the same in appearance. still sweden seems to be industrial country and norway seems to be fishery country.living standard is the same or noway is little better. so very confusing.
>>301 Don't tell her a lie. >もうずっと人大杉 means >this place is full of people for a long time This palace is flu of people for a long dime, is more suitable for もうずっと人大杉.
Have you ever heard of Odagiri Mai? She's a new idol, suddenly got popular among 2ch users. I have never seen a girl like her drawing attention from us. She'll change the fixed belief that idols should be cute. Believe me.
Meh, it's now a pain to read 2ch. Somehow, I doubt that forcing people to use reader programs instead of the web interface is going to help much with the bandwidth. (None of the advertisers get to have their ads shown, either.)
I don't think the English board of 2ch is full of people. Rather, there are fewer people here than in other boards. Why is this board treated this way? It's not fair!
I was in new york in 1975. I saw the beginning of punk era.. The first what I see of punks in 1976 was fanzine called "Punk." formatted A4 size, made on Xerox machine. One of the editors had a strange name -- Legs McNeil. That name "Legs" have shocked me. It was a lot of comics inside and caricatures. I remember one where a girl denied some guy his invitation to dance. She said, "Sorry but no, I only dance with faggots." Year later punk shops were prospering in Lower East Side, amongst them was a shop called "Trash and Vaudeville," they sold clothes.
I am not sure exactly what you should do, but I gotta some sort of same idea. as for me, I take a bath, after that do exacise (not hard one.) and drink a cop of harb tea. I hope you'll speel well tonight.
so women are child-making machines. what about men? if you go with that theory, men are mere 'parts,' assisting 'the machines' so that they will function properly.
But seriously, we all know that the statement was silly, and the guy was just talking figuratively. It's lame to make a big deal out of it, really.
It's just that the guy could be so retarded to commit such a political faux-pas.
I'm not motivated to post in the board. I don't want to use 2ch browsers. It's a pain. Many more people will leave here because it's not user-friendly.
>>411 There's a very serious barrier to entry for non-Japanese speakers, too. I suppose if nobody reads or posts on 2ch, then that's one way of solving the bandwidth and cpu problems.
>>413 I don't think so. In fact, some other boards I visit is up and running very fine. But as you guessed, some organizations such as TV stations and their subsidiaries have been very active to ask law-makers for restriction on free-speech against Internet users. You know what's happening to them, right? They broadcast TV programs based on falsified data, and there are many websites that point out those programs tell lies.
>>414 I know. This "人大杉" or "too many access" error has been happening on the English board but not on other borads. I'd assume at least some control has been imposed on the English board by the administrator of 2CH. Terrible!
>>417 As I said, I don't go there, but as far as I know, the vip board is for people talks about random things and sometimes or often, I'm not sure, they raid online websites or blogs. I don't know why they do it, but they call themselves VIPPER.
>>412 Yes, I haven't been able to post until I started going through a Japanese proxy server. That's not what I was originally talking about, though. (thanks, >>415 , for clearing up what "人大杉" means.)
If you click on the "last 50 posts", you get a japanese error message with links to something about mobile phone access (I think) or another page that (I'm pretty sure) talks about the various 2ch reader programs.
The first link from there directs you to some random "turbo proxy" page that wants you to download some .exe file. The second page points you to monazilla - again, with a plethora of text with little explanation.
As it happens, none of the modules there actually work with my system; I've been using http://bbs2ch.sourceforge.jp/ and it seems to work decently, although I can't figure out what half the options are in the preferences.
With no false modesty, I'm very technical, quite intelligent, and have some japanese language ability - and it took me a good hour or so to figure out exactly wtf was going on and how to post. And now they're making it even harder.
Not to change the subject, but have you ever heard of the mosquito sound, the one that grown-ups can't hear? I downloaded a file and tried it the other day. It was audible to me, sounded like "beeeeeee".. I heard school kids use the mosquito sound as a push sound of cellphones, don't know it works, though.
>>424 I've seen that on TV as well, but I don't know if that's all true or not, now that we've been fooled by the Aru-Aru idiots. But I know there is a whistle called "Inu-bue" or "whistle for dogs" which emits a sound with very high frequency only dogs can recognize.
>>419 Thanx. >>417 Thanx, but I don't think the English boarders ever raid online websites or blogs. Administrators, we are innocent people, only enjoying our conversation on boobs, Yukorin, lolicon, etc!!!
In Japanese parliament, a gentleman in military uniform stands on the platform with a script in his hand, and at the front of him more than hundred councilors salutes him solemnly. But in the next moment, councilors are muddled up much, because the gentleman suddenly roles his script and look them through it like a telescope with loose smile…
He was called "Emperor (Tenno) Taisho" and he was actually an idiot, who cannot perform his task as emperor. This "telescope-incident" has been told privately, because in Japan it's forbidden to speak of scandals about imperial family officially.
Such idiocy of him was hereditary and took root in the traditional incest by pre-Meiji emperors. They took wives from and give daughters to only a few related noble houses.
It's rumor that also current emperor's cousin has a mild idiocy. And a misbirth of Masako, the wife of prince might be actually an induced abortion because the baby had some invalid or idiocy.
>>460 Not that we can't post.. More of can't view the thread. I have no problems viewing the English board, but unless the thread is displayed within the English board page, I can't post here.
>>466 It seems to be mostly random what IP ranges 2ch blocks from posting. I can't post work from unless I use a proxy; at home, I can post directly.
>>461 See http://merkin2ch.livejournal.com/884.html for instructions on how to use bb2chreader. (I'm starting to wonder if I should make "how to access 2ch" thread of its own, with the URL in the subject line.)

スコットランド人、i want you to spread this news over scotland and UK.
i want to weed out vermin from imperial family.
her parents doesn't have any male. so her family will perish sooner or later. sooner, the better. she should get out of imperial family right now. it costs japanese tax, though. she will get hundreds of thousands of money from government when she leaves imperial family.
as i remember ,80% of japanese support imperial family.
japanese communists party officially advocate the abolishment of imrerial system.
social democratic party(former socialist party) tolerates current system, but they want to do away with imperial system gradually.
one leftist group at the end of last year, held convention and that arouse little controversy. they compared children of crown prince? to monkey, and someone, who played role of imperial family, throwed away "monkey" from his hands.
dramatic sketches included some vulgar sexual things.
but not national controvery. one weekly magazine picked up this story.
Wow, this thread is interesting. I didn't know this thread just untill now. How many English (native) spekers are here? スコットランド人, merkin, a few more? And the stories talked about are interesting, too.
periods and apostraphes are pretty small deals. using the wrong version of to/two/too in a sentence is much worse. i'm not the guy you started this squabble with, but most people dont really care.
signed, an american who needs more 2ch threads to read
You can say that again. He must take it consideration that this board is for us English learners, not for him a native. needless to say,it's nothing for him to express his thougts and ideas in English. On the other hand,it's so tough for us to composing English sentences. The only thing I make it a rule to do every day is making English sentences. So that the contents doesn't matter to me at all. If I make him get upset,I must apologize to him but he also must take.....
>>518 That wasn't an introduction. I've been around for a bit. I took what he said as an attack, is all. Jokes don't translate well, and dry ones such as that (if it is indeed a joke) do not transfer well over textual mediums in the first place.
>>523 Where did you know you could download the software? I use a microsoft Internet browser, and I can only read the past 10 posts, so it's hard to keep track of what's happening here if you refer to the posts such as done in >>300.
>>524 Same here. This restriction of the access has been really terrible, BTW I'm accessing from Japan. Anyway, long time no hear for Ether and スコットランド人! It's nice to have you guys back^-^
>>531 When I couldn't post due to my Internet sever problem, I visited 4ch, but I didn't go to the DQN board, so I didn't know it was busy. I went to Manga, Politics, News. Anyway, metal is used to imply mental people are increasing, or something like that? Can you explain what the phrase mean?
Thanks to the sluggishness of the English board of 2ch, I can talk with you guys like this. If many more people posted at once like in some other popular boards, I couldn't even have a decent conversation - instead, I would just post, no response.
>>544 Heh. You're right about that. I'm wondering... What do you think of Kim Jong-nam?
I think it's disgusting that a a regime which allows its people to starve, preaches puritan communist morality and denounces capitalism and the West, lets its possible future leader into so-called enemy territory to visit Disneyland.
>>547 Yeah, some politicians are regretting now why Japan let him go back to his county as if we didn't see anything. He entered Japan with a false passport, so at least we could detain him and use him as a bargaining chip to have Japanese abductees return to Japan.
>>549 nothing. I guess the random ban on my IP address was randomly lifted. I'd assume sooner or later, the ban on your IP address will also be lifted.
>>547 This isn't a bit different matter, but do you know Korean people living in Japan enjoy benefits other peoples don't have? We should treat them fair. There isn't any reasonable explanation why people from other contries and Japanese people are discriminated against like this. It's not fair.
>>560 Compare that with most other people, though. They'd be completely lost even WITH more than a few objects to work with. This is why he's made out of win and awesome.
>>550 Well, the DPRK seem easily provoked and so that could be pushing them... Which probably isn't a good idea right now, considering their nuclear capability.
>>552 Is that for real or are you just anti-Korean? I know of the deep-rooted prejudices beetween Korea and Japan.
>>564 Also get Ad-Aware with that, and Spywareblaster. Ad-aware complements Spybot, and Spywareblaster blocks known spyware so that they don't even get to install.
>>566 Hmm, two racists hate Japan so much they uploaded a video on Youtube to speak badly about Japan to their heart's content. Of course, we have racists all over the world, but I don't think racism should take over a country.
>>567 As a matter of fact, I installed Ad-aware about a year ago, but it doesn't seem that the software can remove all spyware my computer got infected with. One question, do I need to have Spywareblaster in my PC even after Ad-Aware and Spybot?
>>570 I agree with you. But it's really sad to see racists go far. They intend to offend people without knowing it. I hope people (Japanese or any others) don't take them (in the clip) seriously.
>>571 What they say is foolish, yes, but I think they believe "hating or looking down on other peoples than themselves" is really intellectual. Veiwed from outside, it really is silly, though...
>>578 Well, as far as I can see there's a minority of people with extreme views and that projects badly on the majority.
There seems to be a healthy cultural exchange beetween Japan and Korea and I don't think that would be possible if the majority of people in both countries held extremely racist views.
>>597 You are right. In fact, I know a Korean girl and she is really cheerful. She's a living proof. But if I hadn't known her, I would have taken the girls more seriously. So even I feel a bit offended by the clip, I guess many Japanese will feel down when they see it, though. I hope people don't use Youtube this way...
>>581 I'm not sure if they're the worst, but they are pretty bad. Especially in the north of England, where the British National Party (nazi sympathizers) have a lot of support.
why north of england? i suppose there are less non whites in north of england than urban areas like london. so less friction between whites and immigrants.
when we go to more suburbs , people there tend to be more conservative?
some koreans are good ,and some koreans are bad. but we don't have such extreamizm in the public place. at least opposition . koreans push hatred and leave it as it is.
>>586 i mean some racist english peple want to be independent. they want to dissolve united kingdom and bring UK back to separate states.
they hate non-whites. they don't hate scotish. they esteem scotish right.
you could share the same interest with them. the interest of independence.
i suppose many scotish want to be on their own. but many english want to be UK as it is. at the present time, taking advantage of them is a choice.
>but nowhere near as many as there are in England isn't it because stotland has less immigrants than english? sorry, but i predict scotland will become more conservative when immigrants swarm into scotland.
leeds,,, i have heard the name related to soccer club.
scary? you are white. you don't have to be scary. you would dispise them though.
how about liverpool? liver pool is one of northern england. liverpool has large amout of irish immigrants. beatles members are almost irish descents. i was surprised to know that may celebrities like boy george, morrisy, jonny rotten are irsh lineage.
>working class speaking about working class, wayne rooney has working class face.
in japan rooney's popularity is not as much as his talent . michael owen, among others, david beckham is a center of attraction
everybody knows him. we call hime ベッカム様 ,beckham esquire. i have to admit he looks good. but he don't look intelligent. while i hardly can hear what he is saying, his intonation sounds dumb.
you don't like soccer,do you? you are intelligent type.
I apologize for my poor long handwriting. i want to skill up my english ,playing.
>>580 TIME-TRAVELLING-SA~N! Tell me, time-travelling-san, what's the future like? Is Australia underwater like everyone says it will be? Because I can't swim very well ;_;
Do you know Shunsuke Nakamura ?? He is the best Japanese soccer player right now. He is playing for a scottish team called... I don't remember. How is he recognized? Ugly?
>>595 Bookkeeping. I am planning to take the next exam held this early summer.
>>593 No, I don't think so. Take succer for example. They represent their own country.. I sometimes think it's not fair, though. It's as if Japan was divided into 4 countries..
>>596 but it's not sure that united kingdom soccer team will be stronger. most people of the squad must be English. and there is another problem. in soccer, just simply mixing excellent players don't work necessarily . harmony and trust are important.
Argument about UK national football team occurs regularly. As far as I know, in most case the imaginary "UK national team" consists of ten Englishmen and Ryan Giggs.
Is anybody up? Isn't the sentence below a little weird? If so, how do you rectify it?
Human beings are talkative creatures and always have been, so far as we can see. It was our urge to communicate with each other and growing ability to do so that was probably the chief factor in the development that made us different from all other animals.
As far as we know, human beings are talkative creatures and always have been. It was probably our urge to communicate with each other, and increasing ability to do so, that was the primary factor in our evolving differently from all other animals.
Your original sentence is quite good; I've seen far worse in (natively speakers') freshman college essays. If you like, I can go into detail about how and why I made the changes I did.
>>612 Thanks! >>611 is not my original. I found it in a high-scool students board and it's an English sentence from some text book. I thouight it was a little weird and would rewrite it basically like you did. I would say: Human beings are talkative creatures and always have been, so far as we can see. It was our urge to communicate with each other and growing ability to do so, which was probably the chief factor in the development that made us different from all other animals.
One thing I'm not really sure is what the "it" is in "It was our urge to communicate with each other and growing ability to do so."
I would greatly appreciate it if you give me some more advice.
Oh, and I thought it was not too good a sentence, specially as an example sentence for (Japanese) high-school students to read, analyze and 'comprehend'. What would you say?
>>587 Scotland has many immigrants. We have the most Chinese immigrants per head in the UK and I welcome many more. Some of my closest friends are of Chinese, Pakistani and Indian descent. Scotland has always been far left when it comes to politics, hence the popularity of the Scottish Socialist Party, among others. You say that I don't have to worry. I don't want to see my friends exiled because of the colour of their skin.
>>588 People joke about David Beckham's squeeky voice. It makes him sound like a kid and people think he is stupid.
>>593 You should know the difference though. I've heard some people confuse China and Japan before. It's just ignorant.
>>594 Yeah, I know Shunsuke Nakamura. He plays for Glasgow Celtic. I support Glasgow Rangers, their rivals. And no, he's not thought of as ugly. He's pretty popular here.
>>596 Actually, Scotland has always been a country in it's own right. It's not a new idea. It's not like Japan divided into 4 countries.
>>602 You can still post in other sections of 2ch. Just not in the English board for some reason. I use "bbs2chreader" which allows me to access this section like usual.
I have been around in 2ch more than 8 years and I'm sure Ive seen tanasin and its AA before. But I don't have any knowledgedasfa WTF! My DS gets disconnected like crazy !!shit!!! I don't know anything about tanasinn, so I'm gonna google it for you. man how kind I am!!
Hey that was easy Check this out. http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanasinn So basically tanasinn is not anything particular. Just tanasinn. It's a you have to experience it to feel it kind of being. Explaining ruins tanassin.
>>611 I would probably write it like this: As far as we know, human beings are talkative creatures and always have been. Our urge to communicate with each other and our growing ability to do so was probably the chief factor in the development that made us different from all other animals.
>>615 I think that "it" refers to "our urge to communicate with each other and our growing ability to do so."
I can't be 100% sure about that one though, sorry.
As you can see, I omitted the "it" in my version of that paragraph.
>>616 Well, the sentence was technically correct and so I can see no problem with it being used to teach high-school students.
hello, i have a question. while watching daily show with jhon stewart, i heard this phrase "crown thy good, america" does anybody know what the phrase is? obviously. i googled it, but i couldn't quite get the meaning Thanks in Advance.
The wedgie is a joke maneuver or prank performed to humiliate someone. It is inflicted when an individual, or group of individuals, grab the underwear of the victim from behind and pull up, causing the underwear to wedge between the buttocks
Has anybody ever been the receiving end of a wedgie? I'm curious. Thanks in Advance.
I'm not korean, but let me say this. You should watch Korean dramas soon. You'll know how beautiful and interesting their dramas are. So, Japanese, please don't bully them any more. The world is watching you.
>>668 Thank you. I'm really happy to hear you. Enjoy watching them. There are many more good Korean movies that show you how bad things Japan did in the past and what it's going to do.
>>676 You're wrong. Some are, but others are not. And even if you don't know about Japan's true history, those movies project on the truth about what happened to South Korea. You should learn more.
>>693 It depends on what context it is in. I thought it generally meant a rapid increase. If something increases exponentially, then it means that it has increased rapidly, usually out of pattern if you are referring to statistics.
I thought that this thread had been really active while I was gone but reading through it all, it seems to be mostly jisakujien...
>>697 Well, if kanji is difficult for a Japanese person, then imagine how difficult it is for me. Each day I learn a few and I try to learn at least 20-30 a week. It's getting easier as I begin to remember primitives and stroke order but it's still a lot of work.
AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD AROUND THE WORLD
スコット! you are right! I couldn't possibly emphasise more on the importance of stroke order. Personally I find people who right with wrong orders kind of stupid, and annoying. Well that's probaly me though.
Most importantly, when you write kanji on the Nintendo DS, you should know the correct stroke ordersb or the DS won't recognize what you write on the touch screen correctly. That's because the DS uses stroke orders to recognise hiragana, katakana, and kanji, and maybe other ones I don 't know. I sometimes hear people complaining about the DS's kanji recognition function. Most often those people's stroke order just simplly suck. Maybe it's a good way to use the DS to learn kanji and their correct stroke orders.
>>712 That's right and makes your writig look better and eventually you may be even able to wtite kanjis like calligraphy, which are often not exactly like ones printed on paper. Beautiful Japanese hand writing is almost like an art. Not many Japanese can write like that though.
Most people are guessing it was a drug overdose, either an accident or suicide. Some are already joking that she overdosed on weight-loss drugs. (Anna Nicole Smith used to be quite fat)
Her son died from a drug overdose just last year too. It was very suspicious and some speculate that she killed him, or arranged for others to.
I checked her on Youtube, and she seemed 35 years old. So I can't believe her son(maybe still a child) used any drug on his own. Did she administer any to her child?
>>741 Yes. He died last year of a drug overdose that was very suspicious. She died today. The cause is not known, but it was likely another drug overdose.
>>743 I wonder if it's only the right for getting chocolate......... If it was accompanied by the right to go on a date for one day, or something, 8 million yen might worth it.
>>745 Truthfully, I don't know about Anna, let alone about her son, but if what you said is right, I wonder whether she was brought to the Court on suspicion of drug murder.
>>745 Thanx. I remember her inheriting a huge amount of money was widely reported in Japan, but her death has not been reported in any of the tabloid TV programs yet.
>>746 No, it's only chocolate. But she will hand him chocolate, so he can talk with her for a while at least, and if and she loves males with huge money, there'a chance he can ask her out.
The tragic Pacific Wars killing many-many innocent people was begun and ended under Hirohito's declaration. This fact confirms Hirohito's responsibility for that f*ckin war very plainly.
But, in spite of this plain fact, war-criminal Hirohito neither was forced to take suicide like evil Hitler, nor was executed by people like f*ckin pig Mussolini. Rather he continued to live richly as Emperor, supported by ignorant Japanese, who yet remain brain-washed by Emperor and his puppet government.
Now many parts of Japanese people don't get angry at it, that even now these sh*ts reign people. What did they learn from that cruel war? Regrettably they learned no- thing because they never charged Hirohito with his war crimes. Current Japanese are very same as they before 1945, who couldn't stop Hirohito's f*ckin rampage.
Hirohito died in peace without be judged for his f*ckin crimes. And Akihito, Hirohito's f*ckin dirty bastard, now reign Japan shamelessly. We Japanese people, as victims of the war, must judge them, in order to show to world the Japanese real rebirth as true democratic and pacific nation.
>>801 That's stupid. Japan was forced into a war. In fact, almost every country is forced into a war, because of economic, social and political pressures. Enough of this "evil empire" bullshit. No one accepts rule under someone blatantly "evil". It's not WWII that ruined countries, it ended over 50 fucking years ago. It's the stubborness and reluctance of those countries to accept change. The Japanese actually learnt a fair amount from the "cruel war". After having two of their cities nuked, as well as other large cities firebombed and destroyed, they accepted they had living in a militaristic society and went about changing it, so much so that they have become an economic superpower. There are still some aspects of Japanese society that need to be changed, and are in the process of changing, but no one can deny that the country has undergone an amazing change in the past 50 years.
And if you are complaining about evil leaders, what about Kim Jong Il and his "dirty bastard" son? What about the Chinese government, who reacts to threats by wiping them out? At least people know about what the Japanese did in WWII. In China they fucking deny that atrocities like the one at Tienamen Square even happened. Some people in China have never heard of it.
If the Americans had executed the emperor, all hell would have broken loose in Japan. People would have gone crazy. US reports strongly suggested against any execution or punishment against the emperor.
And as far as I can tell, the emperor does nothing these days. It's your prime minister. And you voted him in, so it's all your fault anyway.
>>805 Prince of Japan should introduce polygamy. And get rid of the age of consent. Bah! It's why the birth rate is so slow! You can't make babies with old women!
>>804 What else would there be to say? A strange interviewer asks you about your farts! "Oh no, my farts smell hideous"? Of course she said they smelled like vanilla. There isn't else to say.
>>812 Please. My DVD driver doesn't recognize some burned DVDs. I don't understand why. What should I do? I'd be happy if you linked me to a good website that tells me how to solve my problem.
>>825 Some guys can look really good in a kilt. :-3
> only someone from 4-ch would understand that phrase. Oh really? O_o;; Odd, I don't. Ah well. Delicious ignorance? -_-;;;
>>631 Saying "bloody hell!" is cool? Since when? O_o Woo, I've been cool without knowing about it. Though I imagine a lot of other things I do cancel that coolness out and makes me count as merely silly. xD
>>829 Well, only one of the 6 members of the Elitist Superstructure of DQN would truly be able to grasp the deeply philosophical and metaphysical meaning behind IT'S TOO MUCH METAL FOR ONE HAND.
>>831 I was sort of exaggerating when I said that they were 7 foot tall, but there have been competitors at around that height before.
>>832 I used to visit DQN three or four times a day... That was a long time ago. Ah well. My boyfriend bought me elitist-superstructure-worthy mittens for my birthday (he found the link for the mittens at DQN, thought they were neat and would be practical for me) x3 I love them too much.
Do young people normally have kilts in Scottland these days? Because in Japan, not many people have Kimonos, maybe a couple at most, unless they are into flower arragement, tea ceremonies, and other traditional culrtural exercises.
>>843 What's wrong? Of course, this is a Japanese bultinboard but you should see what people say outside of Japan. Japanese don't know its history and that's why they hurt Korean's feelings. That's what people say.
>>845 I don't know if they hate Japan, but sometimes they laugh at our bad English, yes. I hope we can sophisticate our English and beat them one of these days.
>>844 Just so you know, Koreans are seen as extremely self-conceited people in the world. I don't know where they get that notion, but they feel they are smarter and sperior to other nations for no reason. I hope they will open their eyes one of these days and realize how embarrassing to looking down on others to feel one's speriority.
>>846 Actually, Koreans have much stronger accents than Japanese. The only difference is that Koreans don't realize how bad their pronunciation is, but Japanese do and try to make it better.
I once met a Korean who told me that Japanese have very bad English accents. I found that funny because his accent was pretty bad and it was hard for me to understand him.
>>850 The thing I wanna know is where the hell you got that information. Is there any proof of that? I have a feeling that you say those horrible things about Koreans just to smear them.
>>854 I agree with you that Boa and Yunsona speak very good Japanese. What I meant was Koreans in general have very strong accents when they speak English, much so than Japanese.
>>856 If you just pretend to be non-Korean for a while and listen to what the rest of the world say about Koreans to you, you'll know what I mean. That's the proof.
I don't know enough to say anything about this Koreans vs Japanese which people is better at pronouncing English controvercy. But the one thing I'm pretty much sure about is they both suck, of course, in general. It's exactly like the which of these acorn is taller situation.
