>>10 Actually, some people do. Though if you propose a stable place to host a list of backlogs that we can link to here in the beginning of each new thread, so that we get a link or three instead of five thousand, then that certainly wouldn't be a bad thing.
yukorin is ugly like every idols. stupid neets dont have anything so they dont want to have a strong girlfriend they want to have a sweet/cute/etc girl who are always have stupid smile on her face in other words: HOUSEWIFE
It is said that Yukorin comes from the Korin planet, but truthfully, she is from chiba prefecture. So it is reported that she is a fan of chiba Lotte Marines, a professional baseball team. In fact, the other day, she went to Marine stadium, where she met the superviser of the team. And you would notice she really likes it because she wore the uniform. How wonderful she looked because it suit her very well.
>>66 CAR You should get a tripcode if you don't want to let anyone pretend to be you. A tripcode is a personal ID you can get by adding #password to you name. In your case, "CAR#password" This password should be random letters so that no one geuss what it is.
no, she is just free from a worst infect ever: JAPANESE MENTALITY. she's been living in america and now she is like american girl. it's great for her. I wish I could live in american when I was a child
>>125 Is that so? Well, parp is usually stinky. I remember a famous saying: Don't take it for granted that a pritty girl's fart smells good. Yukorin's fart is exceptional.
How old is Lohan? I serched for her photos on the net and found her older than Yukorin. Is she sort of masculine? Both beautiful and sexy don't cover her. She's kind of manly, isn't she?

"I guess that you might cannot be American." is wrong. It should be "I guess that you cannot be American."
But I am American. I live in California, USA. I went to Japan for a homestay. I stayed with a host family. I watched "Densha Otoko," but I didn't understand it. Then when I came back to America, I found it on the internet. Translators translated Densha Otoko for English speakers.
I am not working because it is not Monday morning where I live. It is Sunday afternoon, 5:39 PM. (or 17:39). And I have an exchange student from Japan, so that's why I know what you're saying ^_^
Why don't you believe me? I'm just trying to talk to Japanese people in Japan. I'm so sad ;_; I love Japanese people, so that's why I want to talk to you guys.
I could say the same thing about your English. Please understand that there are different kinds of English For example, American English is different from Britian's English. In fact, I heard British children take a separate class for American English because our English is so different.
You're beautiful despite all the flaws you reveal to all, I'll never stop being your friend, whenever you need me I'm here, I hate if you produce even a single tear ... but most of all, I care.
im sorry ): whats wrong sweets? well, keep your beautiful chin up ok? i know things will get better whatever it is.. & even though at times i may not be on to try & cheer you up, know im always there for you (: i love you lots.
I think my life would be very boring without you. Im really hungry right now, and my stomach is growling cuz i had no money in my lunch account. haha isnt that great?
DUDE im sorry ive been hecka busy. trying to do work & shit.. trying to balance everything out.. im really sorry but hopefully on the weekend if i dont do anything, we'll find the time to talk to eachother ok? I MISS YOU! TAKE CARE! HAVE A GREAT SCH00L DAY..or WEEK? L0VE Y0U!!
Basically, as long as your nice to me. I'll be nice to you. I'm a good listener usually. As long as you will listen to me too. I've been called emo, suicidal, depressed, etc... Which usually I am. I cant help that though. Thats just the way I am. I have a bad temper. I need anger management. And I cant control it. So dont piss me off. Or I will kill you.
Oh well... no one wants to talk to me that's fine. I'm flattered that you think I'm Japanese. To me, that's a compliment, because I love Japanese people! Thanks a lot. I only checked out this forum because it said "ENGLISH" and was one of the few things I could understand on the sidebar. Thanks anyways for those who tried to talk to me ^_^;; Cya!
No.. I don't have an Asian fetish.. That's kind of nasty... I just love Japanese culture. I loved everything Japanese since I was 12 years old. I finally got to go to Japan four months ago, for my 18th birthday, which made me really happy, and confirmed I love Japan.
I hope to go to college and learn the Japanese language fully, then live in Japan. Does that sound too extreme?
Perhaps you're right. Perhaps people didn't believe I was Japanese, but why would they say I was?
>>243 "Yusuke" is the Japanese foreign exchange student staying at my house He was helping me translate the Japanese characters for me. He's out now, so I'm using google.com
Japanese culture to me is: normal everyday events, the small houses, JR, the traditional and the modern Japan, the food, the way people act and react, celebraties, TV shows, and everything! ^//_//^
When I was in service in the Rosemary Lane, I won the good will of my master and dame. Till a sailor came there one night to lay; That was the beginning of my misery.
He called for a candle to light him to bed; And likewise a silk kerchief for to tie up his head. To tie up his head as the sailors will do, And he said, "My pretty Polly, will you come too?"
This maid, young and foolish, she thought it no harm To lie into bed for to keep herself warm. What happened that night I may never disclose, But I wish that short night had been seven long years.
Oh, on the next morning he so early arose And into my apron three guineas did throw. Saying, "This will I give, and much more will I do If you'll be my Polly wherever I go.
"And if it's a boy, he will fight for the king; If it be a girl, she will wear a gold ring. She will wear a gold ring and a dress all of flame To remind you of your time in the Rosemary Lane."
american-jin, i feel like you are taking this place too seriously. just let some steam off, bitch about your trouble, talk about your sexual fantasies, say something racist without getting beat up. hang out and relax.
>>259 Sorry, I'm new to this place. Being able not to understand Japanese is difficult. So you may ask, "why are you here?" I'm here because I think this is very interesting ^_^
Actually, I would like to help Japanese people with their english. I would try to learn Japanese from reading this, but I'm not advanced enough.
>>268 Yeah, I will take Japanese lessons in college, but I have to wait a year my high school doesn't offer Japanese. I learn Japanese by myself a little using books. When in Japan, my homeroom teacher gave me "Minna no Nihongo I", it is very useful ^_^
>>264 Isn't what you described as "Japanese culture" just superficial differences? I mean in reality Japanese people do pretty much the same thing that all people do. Eat, sleep, work, complain, have sex, get married, occasionally kill each other.
So what is it really about Japan that makes you so excited. Do you want to be Japanese?
Aoi Miyazaki is an angelic actress of Japan she is called Aoi Chan, within me she inspires a wonderful emotion of tender love i only feel this for her, i know it is strange that she is someone that i do not know
>>274 I suppose that that is supperficial, but that doesn't stop me from liking it. To tell you the truth, I don't like America. I like what America stands for: "Freedom", but very little freedom
I also like Japan, because everyone is a lot kinder, the opposite of America. exists
>>285 But since you don't understand Japanese how could you be sure that Japanese are a lot kinder than Americans? Im not saying you are wrong or that you should not like Japan. It just seems that you have a very idealistic idea of Japan that you have created through your very short experience. The same is true of many of us Japanese who visit New York or something and suddenly think it is the best on earth without really knowing the place
You are right. I have created an idealistic idea of Japan, I'm not afraid to admit that. However, that idealistic idea of Japan is based on Japan as a whole. You cannot say that all of it is false. You are really testing my bond with Japan... I like it! While trying to understand Japanese, I hope to find more that I like than just my idealistic idea of Japan.
>>315 You say that, but you must admit that at present you do not know Japan as a whole. You seem like the person to come to know Japan as a whole in the future though.
You're right, I can't say all of your impressions of Japan are false. However, they may simply be exaggerated. Since you are so enthralled with Japan at the moment, without knowing the true face of things, you are only gravitating towards to good. Of course once you see the negative aspect of things as well you may feel differently. Of course you may not.
>>313 I have to say that this is really a difficult question, and I'm not satisfied with my answer. To tell you the truth, I've accepted Japan as my goal in life without asking myself why... I think I'm afraid if I ask myself "why?", that I won't find a reason...
>>317 Again, you are right ;) They may simply be exaggerated. In America, I have heard rumors of Japan that I have refused to believe. After all, no proof is given. BUT like my idealistic ideas, they are probably based on some truth?
>>318 You have you're goal, so stick with it. Once you're in Japan for awhile you will determine if it was everything you thought. It may be better, it may be worse. If it's worse then you can always leave and find a new goal. Don't stress about it.
I just feel that it is best to be aware of our tendencies to exoticize or romanticize other countries and cultures for our own benefit even though the truth may not live up to our expectations. I was the same way about England. But I still love England
:D I appreciate the fact that you make people aware of our bad tendencies. They need to be recognized. ^_^ I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way towards other countries. I think England would be interesting. I have a friend in England, she's the best :D
>>327 umm...no. that's sounds pretty much like bullshit to me. You have had a few cases where students who are bullied have killed themselves or sometimes killed other people. And their have been cases where students who are very stressed because of studying for entrance examinations for college have had nervous breakdowns and killed themselves, especially if they do not pass the test of the school they want to attend. But it is not common.
I think americans make too much of the supposed Japanese concept of "honor." its not like in samurai or yakuza movie or something
So please tell me more about yourself. You seem very intelligent and interesting. I can tell you about me first if that makes you comfortable. I am an 18-year-old male in my last year of high school. Plan to major in Language (or a computer science), hope to move to Japan to emerse myself in the culture.
ah... I see... I will keep that in mind... Do u know which majors are accepted in Japan? I'm just curious.
Be prepared to be treated like an intruder? hmmm I see... I remember being in high school, I would get people staring at me although my homeroom class acted like I didn't exist. They were very nice after school on the last day.
>>334 Don't pay attention to >>333. He only says that because he assumes that most comp. sci majors are very geeky. You major does not matter. For the most part college in Japan is a joke (besides the hard science majors). Everyone else just dicks offs because they assume they can get a job regardless. Since many companies still look mostly at which school a person got accepted to and not skills or experience doing well in college tends not to matter so much. Especially for business
>>334 You're going to be treated as different not matter how good your Japanese gets or not matter how much you "act" like a Japanese. You will always be an outsider and there will always the chance of discrimination.
>>338 O _ O That's very surprizing! I can't really speak for American colleges, only because I'm not a college student or graduate, but that seems so.. so... superficial? I know in America, even if you get excepted to a good college, if you do NOT get an A or B average, you don't deserve the diploma...
>>340 in Japan its mostly about getting into a college. That's why many students study so hard to the entrance exams. They are quite difficult tests (although most of the knowledge is useless)
I found an interesting website related to "deito arudou", check it out, http://debito.org/ (it's in english) It's about an American living in Japan. It kind of relates ^_^
>>344 Actually he gave up his american citizenship and is not legally a "Japanese." If you read the site there is a lot about racial discrimination in Japan and stuff like that.
>>347 Yeah. to get a major in English, you need to study English literature, which I detest greatly, and you don't need that to *teach* english, do you? ^_^
its interesting how much japanese and koreans have in common. when i visited korea i saw numerous "no foreigners" signs on business doors but unlike japan, it was mostly "no americans allowed" not foreigners in general this was around the time that american soldier ran over a korean girl or whatever
>>360 Here in America we do that, but not even near as much as Japan. Only to a very, very small extent. We are the "melting pot" after all.
When people say "American," you would think "White" first, and perhaps "Black" second. Everyone else is usually described by the country they or their ancestors came from. Chinese, Mexican, etc.
And it's even worse if they were just naturalized, since they would probably still have the habits and/or accent from their original country. It's just that since we're the "Melting Pot," we're more acceptable of them.
What is the Korin planet? According to Yukorin, it's a place created inside the earth, which is made of sweets you can eat. People living there seem very nice and polite, she said. The picture she drew and painted was so colourful and charming that I felt impressed. You'll regret it if you know you can't go down into the earth and find the korin planet. I guess only people with pure minds can discover it like Christopher Columbus did America long time ago.
>>192 Please stop obsessing over people being japanese, it's slightly creepy. Just relax and chat about some topic, rather than if people here believe you or not.
>>285 You make Japan sound like some kind of utopian dreamland... Japan is indeed an interesting place, but no utopia. Don't get your hopes up, there is no such thing as a perfect country in this world. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. Please try to look at it realistically, or else you're in for a cruel dissapointment.
i dont like debito arudou, maybe in life he is a nice person but, he could have chosen to be citizen of many multiculture society any place where all people are equal but he chose japan, and i think he chose this place on purpose to complain about japan but why should a japanese who was raised in japanese culture change himself to an american who raised in american culture? they have a fundamental different way to look at the world.
those signs he complains about? they are almost never seen and most tourist dont see them i bet but if a tourist does make it out to a place and sees one those signs there because a japanese doesnt know how to deal with a foreigner and might be scared to deal with one japan doesnt have a taboo against it, because it is japan not america who have a taboo against it because of their history i would say to him, stop trying to make japan be like america on his site he even compare the japanese and american naturalization process and complains that american is easier
>>381 thats because Japanese can't pronounce David properly. And as part of the law to become a Japanese citizen you must have a name in kanji. So he had to turn his long English family name into something with kanji. I guess he decided on Arudou. It is sort of strange to to become a japanese citizen you must give up your name.
>>380 I think he chose Japan because of his wife. It was funny how a lot of the signs were for Filipina hostess pubs. The shop employed foreigners (probably illegal ones) who probably don't speak perfect Japanese, but it won't let foreigners in. That's pretty funnt
>>385 Of course, why should a Japanese deal with foreigners? There are other countries that are a mass of races. Japan is majority Japanese people, and that way is good for us.
the funny part about foreigners in japan that most of them dont speak japanese. and they're dont even wants to learn it. how would be treated an asian guy in US if he dont know english? OF course badly. In japan no foreigner hurts because of nationalism, unlike USA where Ku Klux Klan killed blacks for a long time, or skinheads in UK. there is no such thing in japan, even if you met japanese ultra right wingers they will do nothing to you, only scream they slogans When I look at japantoday forums a typical message is like "oh, those japs are really fuckedup" so who are racists after all?
People that complain about Japan usually live outside Japan. One or two people inside Japan complain, we have to change Japan to cater to those one or two people? Japan has been doing very well so far compared to other First World nations. There is low crime, clean streets, and quality standards of life. Japan did it by being Japan, not by following the complaints of foreigners.
i have to say this: please visit Japan, but be respective of traditions.don't come looking for trouble.if your here to make a scene, you can stay where you are or visit another place.
>>387 may i just correct you there about skinheads i think you mean BNP just because they are skinheads it doesn't mean they are racists there are black skinheads as well
a question for you. how do you listen music on PC? I use winamp, I creat playlist for every album I have and add music manually, but it's seems to no best method
I am not a skinhead but I belong to the Japanese Nazi Party. Japan is for the Japanese. We have to defent our sacred land before it turns into a heaven for the foreign criminals!
>>405 no. I like mp3s what wrong with that? today cds are no use. I download about 10-15 CDs per week so I listen to a lot of new music. how its possible to do that with cds?
>>407 first I am not hi-fi freak by any means so usually 224kpbs is enough for me. and second not much music req. super hi-fi system, only something like classical
>>408 I think you put some distinguishable word or letters, right? You should have come up with something perfectly random. Anyway, let's hope it won't get cracked.
>>401 How on Earth would foreign criminals get into Japan? I'm not aware of the rules, but my impression is that it isn't at all easy to become a Japanese citizen
>>404 There are a lot of people that actually do want to support the artists that create music they like, even if they only want their music in mp3. Which is why the iTunes store is a very good thing.
>>407 It is for the sake of sound quality that many people invest in a good speaker system for their computer. I own many CDs I've bought in stores, however, I never listen to them on the CD. I've ripped most of them and listen to them on my computer while working on things. Also, if one is to listen to something via CD, then you can only listen to one album or mix-CD at the time. While as if you're using MP3, then you can listen to any songs of all the ones you own, not just one single set of pre-determined songs. Playlists that you can change depending on what you feel like listening to is good.
>>413 Heh, no. U.P. isn't anyone I know, except for what I've spoken with him here. My boyfriend is a 20 year old student in London. I'm visiting him on sunday, and staying for two weeks, i'm looking forward to it a lot. I've missed him badly, he's terribly adorable and fun to hang out with :-D
Yes, I know the easy accesiblity of music files on HDD, but that kind of attitude toward music is somewhat vulgar, if you will. When you're listening to music at random, your mind is somewhere off. Hell-bent music lovers just sit down to one and only piece of music and put their mind and soul to the beauty of it. I don't deny the benefit of easy litening such as BGM, but if you like that style of listening, at least get them on WAV format. MP3 is too weak.
>>419 I usually don't have time to just listen to music. I sometimes do that, but not often. I suffer from a bit of techno stress, it stresses me out if i'm not keeping myself occupied with things. Though the first time I listen to a song i often focus on it. And having background music can be rather beneficial for ones mood and work, so let's all get along, hellbent music lovers and idle listners alike. As long as nobody forces the other one to listen to music in a way which that one will not like, it's all good, no? As long as the artists get supported for their good work.
>>419 you're wrong. if we speak in general only classical music deserv. such attention. like 1.5 hours mahler symphony which you need to listen carefully.
>>436 yes >>437 I guess due to the massive popularity of anime, many people starts to have interest in other japanese media, like dramas, many people come here because they saw 2channel in DENSHA OTOKO
>>437 I've heard of him, and seen a clip. Saw the piece of him visiting Yahoo! Japan's headquarters. Didn't understand what was said, since it was in Japanese, but it was, different. Rather amusing, though I pitied the people working there. Must be uncomfortable to have someone be in your face like that.
>>438 I came here because another 2ch-type discussion board linked to this place. I've know about 2ch for a much longer period of time than what i've actually spent here. I wasn't aware of that there were any english-speaking areas of 2ch until i saw that link.

A few years ago, the first two years at the senior high school i went too, the school library there used to always get interesting contemporary fiction when they came out. So if I had a boring break I could always go to the school library and read a book. I also visited the public city library once every month. But then I started picking up other habits and I haven't really visited the library much these past years. Rather sad. Same with my visits to the local art hall. Haven't really visited but a few exhibitions these past few years.

people in this thread are very mean. perhaps it's because you dont get enough sleep. everyone go to sleep, its early morning. if you are neet why wake so early?
>>479 There are two approaches that guy can take to worshipping Aoi Miyazaki. One is your approach, the confrontational and militant approach. Claiming that Aoi is the superior idol, and attacking followers of other idols.
Then there is the >>478 aproach that is tolerant of other idols. This approach requires peace with other idols while still preaching the greatness of Aoi. This is a soft approach.
Which is better? I believe both have their merits, and in the end, both may be needed to help people understand the appeal of Aoi Miyazaki.
Yukorin says that she is from Korin Planet. but she really means to say she is from Korea Planet her manager doesnt allows this because of Japanese attitudes for Korea but really Yukorin name is Joo Eun Kim
You are tricking yourself! there is already copies of a korean birth certificate and "Yukorins" korean passport that have surfaced. Soon, it will be common knowledge that Yukorin was a lie and Eun Joo Kim was a truth.

I have read the recent fifty response of this thread. Every one of them is so poor. Why they are so poor? It is not a problem such as the abridged expressing similar to native one. They are simply of grammar levels of poor junior high school students.
When younger generations age to be the NEETs of the future, there will be new idols. Yukorin will probably make embarassing tv appearances that no one will watch. How sad. Can we find a way to stop Yukorin from aging and preserve her cute?
I'm tired of reading pornographic posts. Even if you are NEET, if you plan to stay alive you will have to stop being a animal and start being a normal human.
Did you see NANA? Aoi saved that movie from being total crap. Still though, Yukorin is the one that has impressed me with with her looks. I vote for Yukorin.

Hi sorry to interrupt. I'm having a difficulty in pronouncing the word "World". I recorded my voice while I was pronouncing this word and found out that my pronunciation is just like that of "Word". How do you guys pronounce this word? Is there any art of it?
In Japanese class at my university, we are now being taught how to use 敬語. However, even the teachers admit that there are many Japanese people today who cannot use 敬語 properly. So why should we foreigners still have to learn it? Surely, if I manage to get a job in Japan and I try to use 敬語, people who cannot use it will feel embarrassed. I don't want to have to embarrass people.
>>575 Hi, when I pay attention to my pronunciation of the word, I find that the tip of my tongue is very close to my upper front teeth during the "l" in "world", but bends downwards a bit just before the "d". I hope this information is useful to you.
>>577 Thank you so much. It sounds very useful and helpful. I'll keep practicing along with your advice. Thank you!
>>576 We just cannot use 敬語 perfectly these days, but we use those languages everyday. Threfore, it will be very helpful and even necessary for you to get your first job in Japan, because if you don't know 敬語 at all, the company will have to give you instruction of how you are supposed to speak in daily business occasion, that surely will kill a great deal of someone's time which can be used for other tasks. It is very starange but please consider 敬語 as some kind of common senses required for all those who wish to work in Japan. It is a requirement not only for people from overseas but also for Japanese job applicants.
Is that the only problem, it gets no comments. On Livejournal.com there are some blogs that never get any comments either, but the authors still write like they're talking a huge audience. I don't think that's so uncommon, but it's one of the reasons why I never got a blog. It's silly I guess.
in the past year i have experimented with many hallucogenic drugs. lsd is a great fun, when a tablet of lsd is absorbed into my system there is a feeling intense in my body every emotion is multiplied by 100, when i am angry my feeling is that i have the power to crush the world, when i am kind, i feel a love and wonder for the world
>>617 The effect of LSD is that it takes you outside of yourself. It disconnects the LSD user from his or her "ego" Therefore you experience reality outside yourself, in other words, you are taking a "trip" Not only are your natural feelings heightened, but so are your senses. LSD users often describe an "intense" awareness of sights, sounds, and smells.
the starryeyes blog wasn't so bad the worst blog that was ever posted here was a blog of a american otaku it was only about anime dvds and manga he imported from japan but he didnt speak japanese so he couldnt write about the anime or manga just comment on how the packaging and the art looked that was truly a pathetic thing to see
Hm.. I'm curious, in Japan, can you ever find random unimportant products with characters drawn on them that aren't from an anime or manga, but was specifically drawn for the goods?
