それは自分がどこまでDUOでみにつけたいかだろ。目的による。

聞き取りやシャドーイングを練習するためにCDを使うならいいけど、例文を完璧に暗記してそれを復習することだけが目的なら必要ないとさえいえる。
だって、ただ単に覚えてるかどうかを確認するだけなら本に目を通した方が早いぜ？

だいたいDUOくらいの簡単な例文だと英文のままの理解と訳での理解はそこまでかわらないともいえる。
意識して訳そうとしなくても日本語がでてくる程度の例文が多いから。でもDUOに載ってる和訳ってかなり意訳してあるからそのままでてくるとは限らないが。

本読んでるときは普通だったのに、
CDで和訳を聞くと笑えるのがあるのは何でだろ？

海外在住者、留学予定者が英語を学ぶ掲示板！

to undergo の to には未来の事の意があるんでないの？？

手術を決定した時点での未来への意思は確かにある。
しかし動詞が過去形ということは視点は過去にある。つまり過去からみた未来になってしまうんだ。
極端な話、手術を決定したのが10分前でも１００年前でも同じ表現が使えるのだ。
だから文脈がなければ手術が終わったかどうかはわからないんだ。

三日前からこれ読み始めたんだがいいな。これ。
ボブには笑ったし。

最近3.0を始めた者なんですが、通学時間（往復で3時間くらい)を
使って、行きは基礎用で新しいセクション（1日1セクション)を、
帰りは復習用で今までやったところを全て、といった感じで繰り返し
聞いています。
復習用を聞いてなんとなく意味が分かる所と、完璧に分かる所があるのですが
なんとなく意味が分かる所はほっといて1週目を終わらせた方がいいでしょうか？
あと、文の中で出てくれば意味が分かるのですが、単体で聞かれると分からなかったり
します。（例えばcompromiseとか）音声と文字が一致しない感じです。
これも気にせず1週目を終わらせるべきでしょうか？
DUOを極めた方々は復習用のCDを聞いて頭にどんな事が浮かぶんでしょう？
質問ばかりですが、アドバイスを頂ければ幸いです。

DUO3.0に「本書の扱い方」なんていうページがあって、
一度、560の例文を和訳してから基礎編CDを使えと書いてあるんだが
一周目からCDを使って学習したほうが良いのではないか？

また、一周目に一週間かけたとして（方法は問わず）、
その間に復習を一度もしないでも良いのか？

先日DUOと基礎編CD買って電車の中で「扱い方」通りに和訳しているんだが
どうにも手ごたえを感じない、和訳だから一つの例文につき20秒ちょっとで終わっちゃうわけで
頭に入っている気がしないわけだ。
一周目はそういうものだ、と言われても、
たかだか20秒を560回繰り返したところで頭に単語はまるで残らないと思う。

というわけで、DUOのオススメな運用法を教えて欲しい

20秒560回を100回繰り返せば確実に覚える

無駄に考えている暇に実行しない奴は、実社会で何も役に立たない。
指示かマニュアル与えないと判断が付かず結局実行しない程度のメンタリティだからだ。

効率を求めるのは当然のことだろう？
無論、こうしている間にも並行して進めているさ。
ただ、気になった、というそれだけのこと。

そんな長文書くなら過去ログを参照したらどうか。色んなやり方が書いてある。定期的にあんたのような質問もある。
だいたい聞く前に音読でもなんでも試せばいいじゃん。どんな方法だって相性があるんだから人によって効率なんてのは違って当然。
答えのでない質問をするなんてそれこそ効率が悪い。

質問に効率を求めるのか？
は、愚かも極まったものだ。
第一、2chである以上効率を求める必要はないのだ。
何故なら、これは確固とした「娯楽」に過ぎぬのだからな。

昔の受験生って今よりバリバリ勉強してたはずなのに（英文解釈教室があたりまえ）
なんでその勉強してきた教師のTOEICの平均点が700前後なんだろうな

平均点が７００点という事は何割かのできない教師が平均点をかなり下げているという事。
多くの人が７００点くらいという意味ではない。

ただの懐古主義で無駄な勉強時間ばっかり取られてたんじゃなかろうか？

そうそう、リスニングを全部落としても730くらいまでいく。
だから一見、リーディングしかできないように見えるけど平均が７００ってことは読みも聞きもかなりの人とどっちもてんでダメな人がいるってこと。

それに解釈教室を読まないと合格できなかったような大学に行かなくても教師にはなれるしね。
