they have sex. it is hard to understand

graduate school is the cause of my stress, it would be better
if I quit.
I but ive never quit anything before and it seems wrong.
165 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/07(木) 10:10:49
Do you have to graduate from school.?
How stressful it is!
166 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/07(木) 10:43:55
I guess I don't have to graduate from graduate-school. But I am
at the end of my program (I have been in graduate school for two
years now) and have only my thesis to write. But I am not interested
in my topic and when I try to write I just get frustrated and angry
and end up not getting anything done. So I find ways to avoid writing
my thesis, doing almost anything to keep myself busy.
Also because my parents have supported me I would feel bad about
quiting because it would be like wasting their money.
I really just want an ordinary job and to make my own money and
not worry about the pettyness of the academic world anymore.
167 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/07(木) 12:20:54
>166 oh, graduate school, i understand.
i thought you made a grammatical error and did not write "to" before
"graduate."
>>166 I'm gonna quit graduate-school next spring.
The only difference between you and me is that
I am at the beginning of my program and actually
now taking an year off.
My mom said to me, "I'm not happy at all even if you
graduate from a good school or get a good job as long as
you're not healthy both phisically and mentally".
Until then I felt really sorry to my parents for being away from
school for an year, but now I'm really happy with my life.
Sorry for my crappy writing but i don't have enough time to check.
169 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/07(木) 19:20:49
>>168 I had been smarter like you, I would have quit early into my program
instead of trying to perserve and making myself crazy. My parents have
sad similar things recently, but I still feel like I owe them something
for the last two years.
Of course there is also the problem of if I quit I'll have to leave Japan
and I really don't feel like going back to work in America. Id much
rather work here, but there are few opportunities outside of English
teaching for an American like me. My Japanese isn't quite good enough
and I don't have the time to make it good enough now.
oh well
There are some times when we have to change
the course in our life. I also had to change my course.
I sometimes feel sad, but our life is controlled by our
destiney. The only thing I can is to give up and forget it.
171 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/07(木) 19:46:17

名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/07(木) 23:52:21
Yeah I saw episode 3 already. The internet allows such things.
A friend downloaded it and get me a copy. It would be better to
see in a movie theatre I think though
183 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/08(金) 00:08:07
Are you talking about a pirate copy?
Maybe I'm being too careful but it may be
wiser not to mention such things on a public BBS.
Anyhow, was episode 3 worth paying 2000yen for?
184 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/07/08(金) 00:14:38
>>183 I didn't buy it. and if I am going to get arrested for something
downloaded off the internet, then they should probably arrest
everyone else as well.
I don't think it was worth paying for. Maybe just to see the
special effects and I think the sound would be impressive in the
theatre. But the acting was very bad and the story isn't really
that good or well written. But then I did not see the Japanese
subtitles so I don't know if they are good or not
>>169 so you're not from Japan... then that would be another
cause that makes you feel terrible about quiting...

you'll get through with this.

I slid my index finger under my lingerie. I'm fondling my swollen clit.

For a while I didn't insert it and was only stimulating my pink clit

nerves were also reacting... More and more juice is flowing out of my pussy
and my bed sheets are all wet. As I imagined my darling's large erecting cock,
I slowly inserted the vibrator into my juicy vagina. Ah, this is just
what I wanted, I thought. This feeling that I can't resist...My whole body

Usually Ive been able to make friends wherever Ive lived. But in the
two years Ive lived in Tokyo I haven't really been able to make any.
My best friend in Tokyo recently had to move away. And my only other
good friend is too busy with her job and her boyfriend to have time to
see me. And I don't expect her to make time for me, and I won't ask her
to make time for me either.
I don't understand why this time is so different. Im so fucking lonely.
I don't really have anyone to share my interests with or to go do the kinds
of things I used to do with my old friends. I end up having to do a lot of things
by myself. Its not as fun. Im so fucking alone...
It's difficult to make friends in Japan.

Could you give me your mask and helmet?
Episode 3 is the best of all SW epidoes by far!
>>323 Sorry, I need my helmet and mask to breathe. However, if you're
interested in masks and helmets, you're welcome to join The Empire
and you can wear the stylish and bold Stormtrooper armor. Or, if
you're more daring, you can fight your best friend, after betraying
your fellow Jedis and all the ones you love, on a volcano planet
and become horribly injured and scarred -just like I did!
>>324 Personally, my favorite is Episode V since I get to destroy a rebel
base, hire bounty hunters, freeze that jerk Han Solo in carbonite
(the best part is that it keeps his hands off my daughter), and
reveal to Luke I am his father and defeat him in a lightsaber duel.

band is X JAPAN, he sent me one of their albums just a few days

I usually listen to, even though it might not be his style of music
at all. When I visited him in Niigata, he bought me manga and
doujinshi as gifts, even though I said I had some money myself.
We only have contact by mail, but it is really fun to be able to
communicate with a person as kind as him.

members of the futsal team I play on organized a big outing to enoshima
last weekend. I met a co-worker of one of my team mates who was really
cute and had a great personality. I thought we were getting a long very
well. She even let me touch her ass (we were talking about muscle tone,
and because she is a tae-kwon-do athlete). It was a good start I figured
we were both talking and drinking freely. The next day (everyone stayed at
a hotel near the beach) we walked around some more, but i was tired and sun-burned
so my energy level was much lower. perhaps she thought i was no longer interested
in her? I couldn't get the courage or find an appropriate time to ask her for her
phone number or email address so we ended up going our seperate ways.
I really feel i missed a good opportunity and I feel sort of stupid/pathetic, whatever
now........

The world war 2 finished in 1945. It was 60 years ago.

I think it's time for us Japanese to start investing on stocks.
The Nikkei index just reached 12,000 yen. The yen is getting stronger
than before. Japan is now out of recession and a new era has come.
Oh well, you don't have to stick to Japanese stocks. Chinese stocks
are also hot. Maybe India is good too.
Some people say average Japanese cannot earn more than 3,000,000 yen per year
from now on. Investment is more and more important for us to survive
the current situation in the near future.
A lot of investors are into "Day Trading" now. This is a new type of
investing which uses PCs to buy and sell stocks. Deals are usually
finished in one day. Some of them just live on them without working.
That's good news for lots of hikikomoris and NEETs, which are a big
problem in Japan now.

Things were going pretty well for a while so I should not be suprised
now that a problem has arisen.
My internship was going very well. My boss said that he wanted to give
me a proper job from February. I was really happy about since I like
the work and its in an industry Im really interested in. Its almost
a dream job. Lately there aren't too many things I look forward to. In
fact starting work in Feb. was really the only one. But now it probably
won't happen. My boss says that his company may not be allowed to
sponsor a working visa for me. That means after my student visa expires
when I graduate in Feb. I'll have no job and no place to go except back
to my parents house (and I don't want to do that). Just when things
were finally looking up for me this has to happen. Its like the light at
the end of the tunnel was been dimmed to the point that I can no longer
see it. Everyone always tells me that things will work out, but they
never do.
I didn't know what I wanted to do after university so I entered graduate
school. I just wanted to be back in Japan so I ended up choosing a
graduate school that did not suit me and I hate it. I was too stuborn
to quit and now Im stuck trying to graduate even though I hate my school
and have no interest left in writing my thesis or my research. I found
an internship that is related to my number one interest/hobby in life and
my boss liked my work and wants to hire me. But now this. Its like
I almost made it and because of Japan's immigration laws it will probably
all slip through my fingers. My dream job was almost mine and now...
nothing.
Im so tired of being tired and so sick of being sick...

koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:00:04
just a week ago, in the chatting thread came a kind boy called koji, who always treated
anyone fairly and talked back to anyone who even felt sick and tired of life.
he helped out as many people as Jesus Christ did.
he let them know there is a cute girl whose name is Yukorin. he knew
her smiles and vanilla-scented fart made them happy and forget about
anything depressing.
453 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:05:56
but koji also did have a horrible idea that the evil paid a visit
to the chatting thread all because he gave a helping hand to those
who felt depressed. koji was of two minds whether he should better
stay there and help them.
454 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:12:07
Kind as he was, he couldn't protect all his followers from the evil minds.
After a long while, he finally decided to leave there for a new frontier where
no bad guys will keep an eye on him. Fortunately, he discovered
the utopia. That's why koji is here now.

Aoi Miyazaki is an angel.
456 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:18:14
Let him talk about his passion. he loves her chinese girlfriend,
as you may know, as well as Yukorin. Yukorin always smiles back
to him whenever he stares at her. Everyone feels quite jelous of them.
he hasn't, of course, been boastful about it, though. he would think
in his head that he feels sorry for her fans.
457 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2005/10/03(月) 02:20:27
Yukorin is slut.
458 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:23:28
he tried to ask her about her fart but couldn't. he thought twice.
Why? Because he smelt it and found it aromatic but not vanilla-like.
he was thought to be kind, and ―of course it's true― he didn't
want to hurt her feelings.
459 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:29:39
koji believed Yukorin is the only angel who came down from the heaven.
But he was brought back to the Earth when he watched Nagasawa Masami, who
he thought, co-starred Seka-Chu or the center of the world. he was electrically
shocked. she was wonderful and a good actress.
460 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:34:44
he didn't notice she appeared on many TV commercials and didn't
pay any attention to her. koji didn't noticed she always talked to
him and looked him in the eyes whenever she came to my place.
461 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:38:37
The showbuisiness news said that she starred Touch. And he finally
realised why she did it. she must've told koji that she wanted to
touch him...
462 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:45:17
he is kind as people say, but he isn't so sensitive to how girls'
minds move, that he failed to fully understand her. What is he supposed
to do? Can he leave Yukorin for Masami? No, he would feel sorry for her.
But he will miss Masami if he doesn't meet her.
koji's noticed for the first time in his life that kindness can
put him into depression.
463 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:50:12
Think, koji, think...(to himself)
Well, Yukorin will miss him, but he let as many people as possible
join in the activities that her fans can enjoy themselves. So he can
leave! he can leave!
464 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:52:23
You can never see a kind boy like koji again.
465 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 02:58:07
koji says Masami walked gracely in a building and, smiling, said
she'd contact him. he loves it when she look down on the ground and up
to the sky. After that, of course, she looks me in the eyes as if to say
she loves him. How very nice to be with her!

467 :

K would feel his tongue burning when he licks her skin.
468 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 03:29:38
That's because M's so mischievous that she dabbed some hot powder
on her skin. She smiles at K and he pretends he gets angry (smiling).
They are happy.
469 :

They never doubted their peaceful lives will go on forever.
But a shadow was cast when K left Y for M.

K, with a frightened face, gaped at her. he couldn't guess

K goes out and walks down the street. 5 minute walk takes him where some vending
machine is lined. he feeds 120yen into it and pushes a button to get
a can of coffee and takes it out of the slot before going back to his
apartment. he is a bit excited to see her. he closes his eyes and thinks over
what he will do when she comes in.
479 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 19:16:41
K never said before that he was a great man, but now people out there
point at him, say "look! he's the one with great great abilities to
let us calm, and pay respect to him. Honestly, though, he thinks he doesn't deserve it.
Kindness doesn't mean greatness. Plus, he isn't so great as they expect.
he's just kind. What he does may be helpful to them, but he isn't great.
So K feels sort of awkward when mentioned as more than what he's like.
480 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 19:32:41
Then an idea flashes into his mind. Many people are wicked and evil,
and a kind boy like K is rarely anywhere to be seen. So they over estimate
him. K is committed to being kind to the wicked, and such attitude must move
people. they'd think he can change the world.
481 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 19:38:09
Yukorin was reported telling interviewers her fart smelt like vanilla.
And K doesn't want to deny it, but to be honest, there's no fart like

vanilla, though he'd say it's very aromatic.
482 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 19:40:55

But he is too kind to help her keep saying her fart smells like vanilla.

Tips to be kind to people:
1) always smile back to anyone who talks to you.
People are not so bad as you think. If you talk back to them
merrily and happily, they'd feel happy thanks to YOU!
484 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 19:48:50
2) listen to their statement carefully.
They may want someone to listen, because no one around them pretends
to be busy reading newspaper or something. They feel lonely.
485 :
koji:2005/10/03(月) 19:56:52
3) nod yes when listening.
People feel happy if you agree with them. Basically, you shouldn't
deny their opinions, even if they sort of ridiculous.
*if what they say is VERY silly, they may want you to get them right.
K'd say there are some people who need correcting. So if you meet such
people, you may tell them they are wrong (but very politely, please).

Why does Koji spend all day typing messages to himself? Can't he just
as easily use a pen and paper? There is no need for others to read
what he writes all the time. Does he desire attention so much? And why
does he talk about himself so much? Is he narscisst?
I don't think Koji has ever chatted with Mr.Shit. If he had truly done
so he would not call Mr.Shit nasty. Mr.Shit was one of the most intelligent
interesting, nice people to ever use 2ch. English board.
Koji is obviously selfish to use up so much space just for himself.

koji forgot about Yukorin completely, but she seemed not.
she failed to get over him. he asks himself if he has to be kind
to her as well? If he helps her, doesn't it mean she will fall deeper
in love with him?

527 :
koji:2005/10/06(木) 16:12:23
koji is sure she was not from the collin planet. he tried to make
some of her fans aware that they can find it nowhere, said she can't
appear out of nowhere if the planet doesn't exists, BUT it seemed to
end up in vain. They still believe it exists somewhere in outer space.
528 :
koji:2005/10/06(木) 16:20:12
he wonders how many people believe her fart smells like vanilla?
Maybe thousands of them. he is kind enough not to point out it's not
true. They have the right to believe what they like. he doesn't
have the guts to put them right, and therefore ruins freedom of speech.
529 :
koji:2005/10/06(木) 16:29:25
Um, he admits he must've been blinded until he smelt the fart.
Its stinky, biting smell made his eyes wide open.

koji is kinder and gentler than the guy who talked to him.

Mr Shit seemed to dislike koji because MS knew K is greater.
Koji never said MS was not so bad, but MS got haunted with a terrible
idea that K would take over.
Of course, koji thought at first they could
coexist because they appeared to have lots in common. But MS blew it.
MS started to get at K. So K had to fight against him.
K was gentle, so he didn't wanna do it, though.
541 :
koji:2005/10/06(木) 23:33:00
K thought MS felt cut off. MS believed he was the kindest, but it
turned out to be a mistake. So he needs to attack K.
I think koji is sick.
543 :
koji:2005/10/06(木) 23:39:10
What's worse to MS, every poster in the English board started to
turn their backs on him because they realised MS was extremely evil,
deep down. He didn't know they could see through him.
MS wanted to get his popularity back up again, but he failed.
544 :

Yukorin looks cute. koji loved her before like some of them.
It's because she seemed as kind as himself. Plus, rumour said
that her fart was very aromatic. Must be very appealing.
552 :

Hello,I'd like some advice for improving my speaking skills.
I've been studying the language seriously on my own for the past straight 3 years and it doesnt seem to be coming along as much as i expected.
It's like now matter how hard i try,ill get nowhere. Also at times I feel so discouraged, hopless in realizing that I still stammer for lack of vocabulary, not because I'm nervous or something.
I want my english to be on par with a native speaker's and I'm so badly in need of someone's advice.
I learned this language mainly thorough soap operas, cartoons, reality shows, and news coming from the united states. Sometimes I watched japanese subtitled ones out of sheer curiosity(i have a little interest in translation itself).
The problem is that I still stammer when I can't find the right words or when I intend to sound descent(I assume the latter one is being caused by nervousness) As for my experience abroad,I was only once out of japan, only 3 weeks.
I already asked japanese teachers of english at my high school but none of the advice was helpful enough.
SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT,PLEASE.

Japanese men are the most perverted motherfuckers on Earth.
hey love to ram eels in Japanese girls asses and then eat
them out after, rimming the girl to catch ever drop of eel juice.
At first, I thought this was normal, but then I heard of things called
human rights, and animal rights. You know, basic stuff that every 1st world country
except Japan has. Japan looks 1st world, but is really 3rd world incognito.
Japan used to be rated #1 country to live in, in 1993, but that is only

taking them shopping at 109 in Shibuya.

I'm a university student majoring in pharmacy.
All i heard and read at school are related to chemicals.
But not necessariliy they're related to medicine.
I'm now thinking about laboratories to which i'm going to belong.
All the seniors must belong to the laboratories that they chose to write a paper.
Through my lab experiences,
i realized that i'm not a kind of person who's bent on researchs.
Which lab i'm going to choose?
That's the question that should be answered by the end of this school year.

The laboratory a person chooses has a lot to do with a sort of jobs he'll get.
If he chooses to a laboratory which is good at organic chemistry, he may become
a researcher at a large drug company. But whatever laboratory he chooses,
he'll never get expertise in pharmacy. In other words, no matter how hard he studies,
he'll never become a skilled pharmacists only by doing so.
それはある。

War is ugly, but sometimes fighting is unavoidable.
Innocent people do get hurt and die, and those who shouldn't not have
to fight are asked to do so.
However, there are times in history where a challenge is made to a
generation. That challenge is how much are our values worth. Are
they worth defending? And if we don't take a stand now, what will
future generations think of us? If we don't fight, will they even
get a chance to speak for themselves and know our values?
War is ugly, but a future that has to fight a war we could end is even
worse.
Good afternoon.

In English education the ministry of education has put an emphasis on
communication skills. Many people have been criticizing the present
English education system at school. I wonder why we can't speak or
write English freely like Ameircan children even if we study English
much longer than they do.
One reason would be that we lack in the amount of
listening to real English. I think if we listen to English for
thousands of hours, we will be able to use English not completely
freely but a little freely even if our English is a little strange
like my English.
Everything is obsolete after all.

This is a story about one of the most sick bastard I've ever met. When I was 21 or
something, I used to work at a rental video shop somewhere in Tokyo, not at Tsutaya type

A night in the middle of summer. That's exactly when I was doing my business upstairs I
had to do, more specifically, I was putting the videotapes back into their own cases.
Speedily like always. I felt something wet, sticky and nasty right after I grabbed a case. I
smelled at my fingers that had touched it. Did stink awfully. Must've been some bastard's
white liquid as you imagine. I was totally confused. You wanna know why? It's left on the

My Japanese is of such a low level that I can only read childrens books, very slowly.
Something that has always amazed me is the fact that people abuse free services. Is
that all us humans have become? Creatures that destroy? Are there few left in the world
that have moral fiber and dignity, or is this world we call the Internet something beyond such people?
What is a man that stays true to life yet cheats a little to get by? Hypocrisy I shout, does anyone hear me?
Do words typed echo in the minds of readers, as if they had been shouted in a canyon. Hello....hello, they bounce back.

our desires. I'm so stressed out. I want to give all out. Anyhow
this kind of anonymous thread is useful from that point of view.
Here I can change my character. I'm tired of being a good and
loyal man to the company. I wanna throw everything away, and
travel abroad with N.
Today again I was so stressed out. But I wonder why my sexual urge
gets stronger when I'm so tired. I can make sex with women
however tired I am. Making sex is a kind of hard sport.
But why can I do that or why do I have the strong impluse to make
sex?
Recenly i've often heard English learners say "Read English aloud".
It may be useful, but if your pronunciation is bad, it's a waste
of time.
It's fucking tired. I've so heavy stiff shoulders. I went to
chiropractic, but I fell into sleep while I was having it.
Fuck!
Again same. I wanna do something new. I wanna have a girl friend.
I wanna travel around the world with her. But to realize it is
impossible. I wanna hug n. She is so cute, especiall I like her
l. Am I strange or usual? I wanna go back to my college day.
It's fucking hot today.
The heat came back.
shine! just shine! bitch!

When my roommate was sleeping, he would hop around and chew on

In the land of the pig, the butcher is king
When a verb ends in vowel+cosonant, you should double the consonant
before -ed. When a verb ends in a consonant+y, y should change to i
before ed. This is the way to make the simple past of a verb.

Sometimes I think that I'm a selfish person who will never
be satisfied with another person. I want to fall in love,
get married, have children and be a wonderful father and
husband. But I don't know if I'm strong enough of a person.
Usually I am charming and kind until I get a girl into bed,
and then I revert to being selfish. When it's very important
I can still be a good person, but in everyday matters, I don't
think that I am.

I started going to the dentist from October last year.
I'm a kind of person who is always nervous about small things.
I've had so many bad teeth until now but I've never wanted to go to the dentist.
Ask me why ? Because I have bad breath all the time.
May be there's something wrong with my internal organs.
So I would often be bullied when I was a kid .

It's time.
well then!
You've spoken like a true android. You are hypnotized. In Japan do you get to smoke
green sometimes? Or is it highly outlawed? Just calm down. Learn to understand rather
than wish to be understood.
There is no point in obssesion. Do you agree? I like to eat fruits and drink water and ice.
How old are you? What is your name? Do you have any pets? Are you sad? I hope not.
Guess how old I am? Are you Itailian or Mexican? I can see the homeland in your eyes
and hear it in your voice. I had to crawl in through the spare bedroom's window last
night. When I got home around 2:00 am I noticed I had misplaced my key.
In a way I depise commercialism. Everything is so in your motherfucking face all the time.
Buy this. You need this. They'll like you more if you have this. Want, want, want this.
They even do it to children. Quite overexcessivly. Watch the Cartoon Network. It's disturbing
how many times in a row they'll play certain commercials.
This universe is only a spec in the entire equation. Who knows what is and what is not!
We are trained to be.
We are trained to be.
I promise we are trained to be.

I introduce Kanzo Uchimura. He was a Christian thinker, pacifist, and the founder of the Nonchurch Movement of Christianity in the Meiji period and Taisho period Japan.
In 1861, He was born in Edo. His father is a Samurai.
In his childhood, He let his younger brother die from fall by mistake, and this gave him a deep sense of guilt.
He showed a tarent of language from a very early age.
He started to study the English language at the age of 11. The Meiji era began, and his family became poor.
Inspite of his excellent record,
he could not go on to the imperial University of Tokyo because of this poor.
In 1877, he entered the Sapporo Agricultural Collage. This collage is a predecessor of Hokkaido University.
His classmate had Inazou Nitobe who we introduce later, Kingo Miyano who would become a botanist and so on.
Uchimura had the theory of non-god at this time. However, he became a believer
in Christianity by persistent invitation of his Christian seniors who was influenced in W.S Clark strongly.

Thank you veeeeeeeery much.
I want to learn Spanish a bit, but I don't have enough brains to learn both of them.
Japanese is a minor language population-wise, so I'm gald to hear that you want to learn it.
Because I feel you're interested in Japan or something Japanese.
Japanese is very easy to learn in my opinion.
>>895 Are you sure? Both languages have their own difficult aspects. Spanish verbs are a complete nightmare, for instance, but for a Japanese speaker, the English phonology is a huge challenge.
Besides,
>>896, you seem like you know English quite well already.

>>897 Then, please show us your excellent ability of Japanese.

May be, in this case, " Please show us your excellent command of English" is much better.
901 :

Wow! How stupid I am!
Please show us your excellent command of Japanese.

>>896 You could say part of my motivation is 北川景子。=P
But I've been interested in Japan long before I knew about her!
Spanish isn't too tough, but like
>>898 says, the verbs
will take a lot of memorizing.
903 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/03(木) 12:38:37
I've never heard of 北川景子.
What's her profession, a singer or something?
So I guess you're a foreigner living in Japan.
904 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/03(木) 14:15:15
>>903 No, I still live in the US. I couldn't make it Japan yet! x_x
She's an actress and model.

>>904 I've heard the news that forced fingerprinting policy like US=VISIT started in Japan.
So I think it'd be more difficult for you to come to Japan except tourist visits.
Then, I'll google it about her career from now.
906 :
905:2008/01/03(木) 15:05:48
>>904 She is so cute but isn't my type.
I hope you'll be able to meet her someday. good bye.

名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/03(木) 15:59:25
>>897 I would agree with you especially as to the voice skill because...
Very limited number of sounds (almost half of English) are used in Japanese.
No plural form, No declension by sex/number, No definite/indefinite article.
Words can be swapped almost freely thanks to the nature of the agglutinative language.

>>907 True, Japanese pronunciation is quite easy for an English
speaker. It's also true that there are less forms for nouns and
verbs. That being said, there are so many things about Japanese
that are new and foreign to an English speaker, so you could
hardly call it "easy".

>>907 Kanji. Game over for us foreigners.
910 :
名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/12(土) 06:45:42
I learn 600 kanji in a year. It is still long way till I can read
them in combinations.

Dave Specor says Kanji is a picture, and it's very fun to learn.

>>908 Yup, but it's cultural issues, not the language issue.
>>909 Japanese use the following 'character' sets in documents.
- Kanji, Chinese character set, ideogram, Kanji 'character' is, usually, a word, not a 'character'
- Hiragana, phonetic characters derived from Kanji characters
- Katakana, another phonetic characters derived from Kanji characters, is used for mimicking foreign sounds
However, you cannot 'speak' those 'character'.
All you need to speak Japanese is sounds, right?
Writing Japanese could be very tough, however, speaking it is very easy.
