The blinds waved in the sunshine to the soft, steady stroke of the sea beyond the wall; and the notes of the Green Silesian band, a troop of foreign gentlmen hired for the season, had drawn almost all the residents and promenaders away from the vicinity of Coburg House.
If we should be worrying about anything to do with the future of English,it should be not that the various strands will drift apart but that they will grow indistinguishable.

but now there is some exciting news. We are moving to Singapore where my husband has been reassigned. He was brought back from Japan because the company he works for didn't want an expat in Asia but now they have decided that they do so they are starting a regional office in Singapore. My husband will be dealing with Australia, India,Malaysia, China, Korea, Thailand and Japan and hope to travel with him sometimes and sightsee. We have sold our house and cars and I am leaving tomorrow. We haven't found an apartment yet. I will look for a job when I get to Singapore. I haven't had any luck in finding one in England I am afraid.
Having much of the parking area to himself, he wandered to the shore, the surface cut by the plumage of gliding swans, fields beyond subtly indicating that he was in a country with no name in the motoring atlas.
i have maybe some cheerful news for you: in march 2005 i will give birth to my first little son!so i look very funny with a big round tummy.my whole family will spend the christmas with me and i am really looking forward for that.

We drove through the streets of Shibuya (which I love) early in the morning after the party. That was just incredible. I also liked the Japanese girls -they are very gracious and lovely looki! ng.

Also, please note that this email address is the main email address at the moment, since I did not return to abc Bank after my sick leave (as some of you know, the long hours finally caught up on me and I went on sick leave due to exhaustion during the summer). So I would like to apologise to those of you I have neglected and ignored during the last six months. Hope to become a better person next year, but knowing me,I will probably come with up yet another excuse next year,

Success will pay dividends far beyond those felt in the states most immediately affected: Turkey's accession to the EU will help silence those who claim there is a "clash of civilizations" between the Western and Muslim worlds.

This year was very hard, s it was the end of my medecine studies .We had to work a lot from October to May, and then the final exams started, lasting until December 10th.Those 7 months of exams (more or less one every 10 days) were very stressing... and soooooooooo long. The whole thing went fine at last, and even better than hoped. But for nothing I would do that again ! Now I feel so free, so light... having enough time to see my girlfriend and my friends,to read books (not medical ones), to go to the movies, to go jogging in the woods...I'm a bit euphoric, but being on holidays after such an experience gives you strange feelings !
In your email, you asked how is Christmas in Switzerland. It's hard to answer, because it depends a lot on families ! Let's imagine a traditionnal one :I guess they would start with buying a tree a few days before Christmas, that they decorate with candles, garlands and all.For Christmas Eve, they have a nice meal... and then they light the candles, watch the tree, listen to Christmas music, sing religious songs, read poems... and go to sleep.Contrary to Japan, adults AND children buy and receive presents. We don't have this "10 years old limit" you mentionned in your email ! You put those presents under the tree, and we use to open them just after waking up,December 5th.You can imagine how long is the night when you are a child who is waiting to get them =)Lunch on December 25th is the main meal. Grandparents, aunts, etc. are often invited. We also eat a cake called Christmas log".
Due to the nature of your order, please complete this form and provide proof of your address in the form of a bank/credit card statement or a utility/household bill dated within the last three months.

American voters became quite familiar with President Ford's football pictures during his term, as he effectively capitalized on his football background. To me, the one that stands out as a PR classic is the picture showing Mrs.Ford, having successfully recoverd from a cancer operation, throwing a football to the President to show how much strength she had regained.

Well... this description would concern a traditionnal family. Christmas lost his religious and spiritual importance for many persons today. For some family, it's just an occasion to eat, drink and offer/ get presents... Very commercial... In my family, we eat and "gather" in front of the Christmas tree.Presents are rather symbolic. We listen to Christmas chants, but don't make it too religious. On December 25th we go visiting my sister, who lives in a special home after a very serious car accident when she was 2 years old.It means this day is not a typical Christmas one for us.
I wonder if you wouldn't mind answering a few questions for me about the reform process Japanese schools are currently undergoing. I would be very grateful because I'm doing a research paper in favor of the reforms and feel I will understand the subject better if I had an inside view.
1. First of all, are you in favor of or against the reforms that have taken place so far? (For example: shorter school hours, added integrated studies, and less emphasis on entrance exams.) 2. Have you heard any complaints about the reforms? If so, what are some? 3. Do you feel that the reforms have helped decrease the number of school refusal, juvenile crime, or suicide rates? 4. How do parents feel about the new reform measures taking place? Do they feel it is effecting their children's academic skills in a positive or negative way? 5. So far, has integrated studies been achieving the desired affects on the students? Have the students been showing more creativity/individuality in their school work? 6. Overall, do students feel less stressed in their school life because of reforms? I know there are a lot of questions, but please try to answer them as well as you can. Feel free to skip over any if you want to. Thank you for your time! I hope to hear from you soon!
You've been around for such a long time now Oh baby, I could leave you but I don't know how And why should I be lonely every night When I could be with you oh yes you, make it right And I don't Listen to the guys who say That you're bad for me and I should turn you away
Cuz they don't know about us, They've never heard of love
I get a feeling when I look at you Wherever you go now I wanna be there too They say we're crazy, but I just don't care And if they keep on talking still they get no where
So I don't Mind if they don't understand When I look at you when you hold my hand

That is a great news except for the part that calls it the “Gulf cup” or even worse “アラビア湾カップ” which is not exactable. It’s been “ペルシャ湾” Persian Gulf and will be Persian Gulf (Japan has a similar problem about The Sea of Japan, which Korean calls it the East Sea). We Persian got some problem with that naming. ペルシャ湾フォーエバー(Persian Gulf Forever) is what we are standing for. I mentioned it because I know that Japanese have much respect for the Persian heritage as we have for theirs.

In your email, you wrote you make many year-end parties. With whom ? Your family ? Your friends ? Your fellow workers ? What is Osechi made with ? For New Year's Eve it's quite popular to eat "fatty liver"(I couldn't find the english word... It's some liver of a goose that was kind of forced to eat fat things... which makes its liver charged with lipids, and melting in mouth). At midnight, we drink champagne and people kiss and say "Happy New Year !!!".Is it the same in Japan ? Do you have to work between Christmas and New Year's Eve ?
Graduate school is great but difficult. I taught introductory Japanese as well which helped to pay for my school tuition. This past semester was very busy but I'm trying to get spiritually and physically ready to deal with next semester. I need rest, meditation, and exercise. I feel so motivation-less.Anyway,I am sorry about the current crime situation in Japan. It sounds awful. The younger generation in Japan have no respect for adults and they don't like school. I think that many Japanese kids could use counseling and psychological help.It seems young kids have no one to talk to when they have problems. I think the current problems in Japan stem from young kids copying Western influence and losing their Japanese identity and sense of self and cultural worth.
I also have a co-worker who is from Russia and lived near Chernobyl. Her government told her that everything was OK then the big accident happened at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant almost 20 years ago. They told her the wind didn't blow her direction so she would be OK. She was initially fine. But early this year came down with cancer now it is in her brain. I have not seen her in months but my boss told me she will not make it. She has big medical costs and her government won't help at all. Typical Government response!
This year I don't really spent christmas in any way. My family is more and less secular. So the maximum we usually do is to give gift to each other and have a christmas tree at home, but no prayer at a church. This year there will be no gift and no christmas tree. My parents decided that my brother and I were old enough . So we are just going together to a theater to see a vaudeville (a funny show).

In my dreams your standing there Waiting for the sun to shine Cause I want away To try to find out who I am Never thought My heart could burn Waithing for the rain to stop Cause I swear to God I'm gonna come back to you
*'Cause here I am a lonely man And your the only one who's made for me And in my dreams I here you say How could you go and leave me standing alone **Take me back we've got love on our side And love is gonna bring me home Take me back we've got love on our side And love is gonna bring me home So take me back...
In your mail you also talked about this 'It'me-fraud'. Is it still "popular"? I haven't heard of such cases in Switzerland.Prepaid cards are used by criminals too, though. But I think the system changed last summer:getting a prepaid phone card is no more an anonymous procedure. You get registered!Since the end of my exams, I started reading a couple of books about Japan.I read this one written by Masao Miyamoto about the "aliening" work conditions in some Japanese dministration. Is this book famous ? How is it in your company ? Do you have enough time for so many sports (tennis, swimming, jogging, judo and baseball)?
As I appreciate a lot legends and strange creatures, I searched a bit more informations about kappa. Here is a link quite interesting about Kappa :http://AAAA. You wrote about the popularity of festivals in Japan ("matsuri",isn't it ?).Unfortunately I guess February is not the best period of the year for that...But main "masturi" are reported in my guide book. If there is any, we'll try to visit it!I hope I'll be able to come one day to Japan in April/May to see the cherry blossom and the Sanja Festival in Tokyo! I read with interest your informations about "tejime". We don't have this at all in Switzerland ! But there's something that is not clear in my mind about "inkan" : has it as much "legal importance" as a signature for us ? Isn't there a high risk of counterfeiting ? You asked what were my impressions about Japan. Well... as I'll be travelling there again in February (despite the monstruous cost of the thing),you can imagine how I loved your country!
Every sperm is sacred Every sperm is great If a sperm is wasted God gets quite irate Let the heathens spill theirs On the dusty ground God shall make them pay For each sperm that can't be found Every sperm is wanted Every sperm is good Every sperm is needed In your neighborhood Hindu, Taoist, Mormon Spill theirs just anywhere But god loves those who treat Their semen with more care Every sperm is useful Every sperm is fine God needs everybody's Mine And mine And mine Let the pagans spill theirs O'er mountain, hill and plain God shall strike them down For each sperm that's spilt in vain

I feel it's somewhat quiet tonight. I wonder why Mr. Patrol is not around here. Is it because it's Eve's night ? I do not want to believe it. I do not believe he has somewhere to go except in this 2ch world. Honestly I miss him.
our site originally had been made in japanese language. So we got decent hits per day and reputation modestly here in Japan. After thinking twice about サイト名 during redesigning it, we decided to get out of the localized style.
For this year, the important thing for me that happens in France was the law against religious signs at school, which launched quite a polemic! Immigrant population don't really understand the meaning of secularity at school and the fact that state and religion are totally separated in France. While the law was trying to save the no-religion atmosphere in public school, immigrant population, and actually a lot of French people too, thought that it was an offense to human rights and that people should be able to practice their religion everywhere...Being raised in a public school,I like the idea of being just a child at school and not a christian, jewish or muslim (...) kid.

I learnt a lot of news words (especially the different animals from the "Juni-shi"). Is it mouse or rat ? I thought the chinese one was rat. Do you know which zodiac sign correponds to 1978 ? I think someone once told me it is horse, but I'm not sure. Would this mean I was "Toshi-Otoko" in 1990 (78 + 12) and 2002 (90 + 12) ?
I told you,I moved in August in the USA -I'm back in France for the winter break- and I'm really scared about the fact that religion is in the streets and in politics. Listening to G. Bush and all these freaky people talking about supressing abortion right because they believe in god really frighten me. This is something that I am not used to!!
In February I'll visit Japan again with a friend of mine !!! I loved Japan so much that I HAD to come back... even if I'll get a broken man (totally ruined)... I'll start earning money in March, so it's not a so big problem (doctors have no problem to find a job here, happily). The idea to travel there helped me a lot during my exams (like a "light at the end of the tunnel").I guess this time we'll start in Kyoto, and then travel west towards Kyushu.Yes, I remember Pachinko ! The friend I'll be travelling with loves video games, pools and all.I guess he will try this noisy Pachinko! Is the street "Kappabashi-Dogugai" the one with the plastic food shop? If we spend 1-2 days in Tokyo before heading to Kyoto,I guess I'll show my friend Senso-ji and this strange shop !
To tell a bit more about my feelings about Japan... I would say the things I appreciated the most are the kindness of Japanese people, the "disorientation" (feeling to be in a totally different world) despite the similarities between Japan and Switerland, the cultural wealth, the beauty of nature, the aesthetics which is present almost everywhere, the security... and the numerous mysteries/paradoxes in Japanese society ! Here we have a lot of clich・ about Japan (shyness, crazy workers, wealth, perfect economic system, technology and happiness, etc.). Now that I started reading books about Japan history, society, political system, economy, education,I think it will be easier to understand some of those paradoxes. My vision is probably a bit more realistic now. Talking with people might be easier too. But I guess I should pay attention not to be too curious/intrusive...For example, I wonder if you got offended when I asked if you were married. In Switzerland, this is the kind of things you will ask after 1 minute. This would be probably rude in Japan, wouldn't it ?
My hotmail address is no more available ! It got suppressed because I didn't use it for a long time. Please use the urbanet.aa one if you feel like answering.
I really like this song because it is not typical for the music you hear today. It reminds me of the fantastic pop songs of the Eighties and is one of my favourites.

I've been fine, thank you. I'm still at the university (And I still got my master's thesis to finish. It seems as an ever- lasting project - only because I'm not working with it...), but I'm looking for a job at the same time.I've written some articles as a freelancer journalist for a personnell magazine of the company I used to work over summer holidays, but I need to find something more permanent. Currently, I'm working as a research assistant at the Communication Research Centre that belongs to the Communication Department at the Helsinki University. The research project I'm involved in is about health promotion and health values in the media. My contract is only for a month but it may be extented if I'm still interested in the project and willing to carry on. However, I'm not that keen on academic research... but we'll see.
The blast occurred on Friday night in the Mansour district. The US army says one person was killed and 19 wounded. Police say that a gas tanker blew up in a street and they suspect that the blast was either a suicide attack or was remotely set off by explosives.

I going to my parents' house over the Christmas days. They live in a small town (less than 8 000 inhabitants) in the southern Finland, about 150 km north from Helsinki. My little sister Hanna and Marco, her Dutch boyfriend, are coming too, which is nice. Normally, I'll stay at my parents' place over the new year, but this time I need to come back to Helsinki, as I have some work to do with the research project.Unlike in the Central Europe,in Finland (and elsewhere in Scandinavia)Christmas Eve is the most important day of the Christmas period. We eat rice porridge for breakfast (there is a hidden almont in the porridge, who gets it, can make a wish!), decorate a Christmas tree, go to chruch and place candles alongside the graves of the loved ones,go to sauna and eat a big Christmas dinner-and then Santa Claus comes! When me and my sister were little, the "real"Santa Claus visited our home, but nowadays we just give presents to each others. Every year is the same routine, but it's kind of nice.I just hope there 'll be more snow in my parents' place that here in Helsinki.
>どうかよろしくお願いします。またeither以下のor was remotely set off云々に >wasはいるのでしょうか?

Now that I started reading books about Japan history, society, political system, economy, education,I think it will be easier to understand some of those paradoxes. My vision is probably a bit more realistic now. Talking with people might be easier too. But I guess I should pay attention not to be too curious/intrusive...For example, I wonder if you got offended when I asked if you were married. In Switzerland, this is the kind of things you will ask after 1 minute. This would be probably rude in Japan, wouldn't it ?
Every year is the same routine, but it's kind of nice.I just hope there 'll be more snow in my parents' place that here in Helsinki.

this year for the holidays i have traveled up to san francisco, california to spend some time with friends. my family lives in ohio, and since i went to japan this year i did not have enough money to fly back there for christmas. i am currently living in los angeles, california where i have just taken a new job where i organize sporting events such as baseball and also teach art classes to kids in the neighborhood. i am very excited to see what the new year brings. i hope to travel some more, though i do not have plans yet.christmas in the USA takes many different forms since there are so many different cultures living here. i grew up in a christian family that went to church every week, where we learned of the birth of christ and the importance the maricle has had on man-kind. christmas eve, our family has a big party with around 60 people, where we share stories of the year and eat lots of good food-- the main dish being ham, along with a lot of tasty sweets! then on christmas day our immediate family gets together for gift exchanges and another day filled with eating.it is truly a great time of the year to spend with friends and family.

すいません、助けて下さい。 Koda's death could weaken koizumi's pro-U.S. Iraq policy. the deployment of the troops is set to expire Dec.14. It will have to be extended for the troops to stay.
最後の「It will have to be extended for the troops to stay.」

It's Christmas Day and we have celebrated it German/English style, ie opening half of the presents on Christmas Eve and the rest today. No turkey though. No snow eihter.
It is just me and my husband as we decided not to go to England (big family) this year. My family (parents, brother) is doing an organized Christmas somewhere up North something I don't enjoy too much.
Nothing new here. Our language school has grown, we are 9 teachers now. Next year we'll start doing seminars and I hope to do a special one on communication.
I didn't publish any of my stories last year, which was a bit of a downwer. I won't give up though. Buying myself a big bookcase. My highpoint this year was New York. My favourite city.Highly recommended! Next year we'll go to England and I'll do (take)a seminar in Budapest (Business English) in the summer. That's the holiday planned. The year after, I plan to go to China and Japan. Have to start saving...I am learning calligraphy now and still taking those Japanese lessons.

ある歌の歌詞なんですが和訳お願いします When you're weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes I will dry them all. I'm on your side, Oh, when times get rough and friends just can't be found. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down. When you're down and out, when you're on the street. When evening falls so hard, I will comfort you. I'll take your part Oh, when darkness comes and pain is all around. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down. Sail on golden bird, sail on by. Your time has come to shine. All your dreams are on their way. See how they shine.
Oh, if you need a friend, I'm sailing right behind. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will ease your mind. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will ease your mind. Ease your mind.

I am thrilled for him,but it is difficult because he is so far away from me.I try to visit him at least once a month.Tuesday I will go for 10 days over the Christmas holidays. We may get a chance to go to the Grand Canyon since it is about a 5 hour drive. I am looking forward to spending time with him before the New Year.
The Gold Coaster then focused solely on boxing and won his National Title with a ten round TKO over Andrily Khamula on July 8 2001 and less than six weeks later gave away the first three rounds and lost a decision to current WBC number two Super Welter Nader Hamden in a fight this writer and many others felt Parr won going away. That fight, held in Sydney, was for the Hamden's IBF Pan Pacific 154 lb Belt.

People of Scripture, do not go into excess in your religion, and do not say anything about God but the truth. The Messiah Jesus, the Son of Mary, was only a messenger...
So what should we do? Spreading useless threads? This is what Saburo from the JFA said after a meeting in Switzerland (FIFA event)? I suppose you take a look at the Japanese site and correct me if I’m wrong by any means since when you talk about unreliable medias, we know what unreliable media is very well. Trust me!

Again, this may be all a publicity stunt. It seems handled sloppily, and isn’t happening at exactly the most opportune time, to be honest. Why wouldn’t he wait until he was in the process of promoting a new album? Besides, it isn't as if this being a stunt somehow means it isn't as awesome/incredibly depressing.
"If you can think a problem through and have clarity about what you think needs to be done, with a healthy respect that you maybe right or you maybe wrong, then people will say that it's anti-intellectual,says Rove. "I don't. I see it as he has a practicallity about himself that born out of comfort with ideas, and it is tempered by values that don't change.
Media consultant McKinnon, then making ads for Democrats, knew how it felt to be on the wrong end of Rove's wrecking ball. お願いします。

Now I have time. Christmas is in Germany always a time, when the people relax a little bit and stay some days with their families We celebrated christmas on the 24th and the 25th of December. In the late afternoon of December 24th I accompanied my grandmother (she is 92, but still very active) to the Еvangelische Kirche・ (protestant church) of our village. (My parents and my grandmother live in a village in the periphery of Cologne). The church was full of people. Normally only few people go to this church, but on christmas it is full because the people like to have this ・hristmas feeling・in the church, even if they do not go to church frequently. In the church there was a big nicely decorated christmas tree. We sang some biblical christmas songs, there was some special music with trumpets and the priest held a longer speech about the meaning of christmas. He said that christmas is an interruption of normal life, in order to have дhree Sundays・time to come closer together with the family and to contemplate about the meaning of life and to find back to the main christian values like belief, love and hope.
You guys are all just chickenshit! I've lived in Niigata (my wife is a native of the place) and earthquakes are like hot breakfasts to me! Get over it! It aint no big deal. You stupid morons are freaking over nothin…NOTHIN'!!!! get a life! If you are gonna start shittin' ya pants over one little quake then Japanese culture will shred you like a meat mincer! Have some pride in yourself wimps!!!!!
Then after church we went to my parents house. There the whole family had a nice dinner that my mother had prepared. And later we sat around the christmas tree in the living room, and gave gifts to everybody. I bought a lot of christmas gifts in Japan, so it was a nice surprise with all the new and exotic things. For my mother I bought a nice little handcrafted silk bag that I had bought in the Handcraft Center of Kyoto, for the wife of my brother some typical japanese slippers, made of rice straw, and special socks that have a division for the big toe. We do not have that here in Germany. And for my brother I bought a beautiful japanese laquer bowl. For the little boy of my brother I had bought a japanese t-shirt with two signs on it. The woman who sold it to me said that it means ・chi ban・ meaning:I am in the best position・ Is that the correct translation?

Also on the next day, December 25, we continue celebrating christmas, and met in the afternoon to drink coffee and tea and eat delicious cake and biscuits. Some people also go to church in the morning of December 25 and December 26, but these are only the very religious people, and there are not so many of them nowadays. The christian churches (catholic and protestant) have some difficulties in the last years to find enough resonance in the public.More and more people are following more the materialistic values and are not really interested in the church they were born into.
My three week journey to Japan was really fantastic. After ten days in Tokyo I went to Kyoto for another ten days and I saw a lot of beautiful temples and gardens there. For two days I also went to Koya-san to visit this buddhistic centre. It was very impressive. Have you been there? Especially the old cemetery is a magical place. Hundreds of huge very old cedar trees and in between the trees thousands of old graves, covered with green moss. This place is really very special.I met a buddhist priest who spoke english with me and he told me a lot about Koba-Daishi ,the important monk who founded Koya-san in the 8th century and who is buried there.

I am very interested in the aesthetic of japanese gardens and so it was wonderful to see some of these old and beautiful gardens in Kyoto. Also I liked to walk around in the city of Kyoto, just to see all the interesting shops and to watch the people.I stayed in a Ryokan there (Ryokan Hiraiwa). A simple old Ryokan in a wooden house, in a quiet area close to a river. It was interesting for me to stay in such a typical japanese inn. They also had a small onsen for the guests and I used it regularly. Also there was a bigger public Onsen in the same street and I went there once in the evening to relax my bones a little bit (I did a lot of walking in Kyoto and I was often very tired in the evening). The experience of a typical japanes onsen was very interesting for me. We do not have this in Germany. We only have in some special places so-called Уhermalbaeder・(thermal baths), with warm water coming from deep springs. But these places are rare and not comparable to the japanese onsen.
To be honest, I have to say that the water temperature of this Onsen in Kyoto was a little bit too high for me. I am not used to bathing in very hot water. I prefer just a medium heat. But nevertheless it was a good experience and I think it is one of these wonderful inventions of the japanese people. In a book I read about very beautiful Onsens in the mountains and in more natural surroundings, also open air onsens in hot springs in Hakone and other places in Kyushu. I hope I can come back one time to Japan to see these and many other places.I think in the very north (Hokkaido) and in the southern parts of Japan there are many very beautiful landscapes and places. I like very much walking in the mountains and experience nature. In Kyoto I did a little walking tour on a hill in the northeast of Kyoto, the Daimonji. It was late afternoon and I had a splendid view on Kyoto when I reached the top of the small mountain (only 400 meters high).
I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o’er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host of golden daffodils: Besides the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. よろしくおねがいします

Wather, not oil, is the most important liquid in our lives, the material from which all life on the earth started. If we run short of oil, we can use other energy sources. If we have no clean water, we will die. As the earth's six billion people enter a new century, few issues are as important as water. We are falling far short of the most basic goal of enough and cheap clean water for everyone. The surface of the earth is 71% water, but most of its water contains salt; it is not good for drinking, farming or business unless the salt is taken out. this can be extremely expensive. Only 2.5%of the earth's water is fresh, and most of that is either in the form of ice and snow in Greenland and Antarctica or deep under the ground. And about 10% of that water--0.26% of all the earth's water--can be used for human needs; even then, much of it is far from large populations. At the dawn of the 21st century, more than 1 billion people cannot have safe drinking water. Some 2.4 billion ---40% of the world's population---do not have adequate sanitation, and 3.4 million die each year from water-related diseases.
@The streotype of a fully rational and objective "scientific method," with indivisual scientists as logical (and interchangeable) robots,is a self serving myth.
AAfter conclusions are firmly in place, a logical pathway can be traced from data through principles of reasoning, to results and new theories―context of justification.
BFirst, scientists should proudly show this human face to display their kinship with all other modes of creative human thought.
CSecond, while biases and preferences often hinder understanding, these mental peculiarities may also serve as powerful, if unpredictable and personal, guides to solutions.
Conventional forms of energy production--- buring fossil fuels and nuclear power ---- exploit the stored energy of coal, oil, gas and uranium.None of these fuels will last forever. Estimates vary as to exactly how long they will last, but at current rates of global consumption it is expected that only coal and uranium will still be available in significant quantities at the end of the 21st century.

My stay in Tokyo was also a wonderful experience and it was great that we met conincidentally at the Sensoji temple. At that day it was my very first day in Tokyo. I had arrived in the morning of December 1 in Narita Airport. And when I sat on the steps of the temple I just relaxed in the warm afternoon sun that was shining. At that moment I felt the ・etlag・and I nearly fell into deep sleep before you started to talk to me. Thank you again for taking so much time and showing me some interesting places in Asakusa. I love this quarter. I think it has a very special atmosphere, more natural and human than Shinjuku or Shibuya where I felt a little bit uncomfortable in between the masses of people and the high buildings with all the coloured neon advertisements. But Tokyo is a very fascinating mixture of all kinds of different areas and it all belongs together,I think. Meeting you in Asakusa was the first very positive contact to the Japanese and several others followed. For example on one of the next days I was eating dinner in a very old noodle restaurant in Kanda, the name of the restaurant is Мatsuya・ It was recommended in my travel book. So I went there alone and coincidentally I was sitting at one table with a very nice japanese man who could talk english very well. He worked for an insurance company and had worked in London. He told me a lot of interesting things and was, like you, very friendly. He told me for example also about Kendo. He had practised this in his youth.
It has been a long time since I last wrote to you but I have been really busy these last months. I got married in August, here in Spain the Christian ceremony is a very special one. I was dressed with a long and white wedding dress and after the ceremony, we celebrated a wedding dinner with all our family and with our friends.I had been going out with my boyfriend for 12 years now, son as you can guess this has been an important decision for us.After the wedding and the honeymoon (we went to Tanzania on safari and afterwards, we went to Mauricio Island), we had to do the moving to our new flat and some works and repairs in the flat, you know a new kitchen, painting, and so on. Now that all this is finished, I can say that I feel really confortable in my new flat. I live in front of the sea so it is really nice.

Apart from that, we have had some changes in my company and I've changed my position for a new one. Now I've to work most of the week in Madrid (the capital of Spain) so I spend most of my days living alone in a hotel and I return to my home in the weekends. As you can imagine, my husband is not ver happy with this, but it is my job.
And also in other places I met very nice japanese people.I think ,that the japanese people in general are much more hospitable than the Germans. It seems that you have a kind of tradition or a deep mentality of being very friendly towards foreign guests. Also in the Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku,(the university of fine arts in Ueno, where I worked for several days)I experienced this warm and friendly hospitality. We had a wonderful final dinner after the one week of work. In a very fine restaurant in Kanda I had the pleasure of one of the most delicious dinners in my life.We ate many different, very delicious japanese meals, with fish and vegetables, and all very nicely decorated and on very precious porcelain. I think you have a very high aesthetic culture in Japan. There is a special feeling about form, beauty,of balance and proportion that I noticed in many details: from japanese garden design to the general design of things and of interior architecture. Also special details like paper design and package paper show this high aesthetic quality.
When those tiny variations accumulate, planetary scientists must add a "leap second" to the end of a year, something that has not been done in many years, Gross said
Dr David Nabarro told reporters on Tuesday that the initial terror associated with the tsunamis and earthquake itself may be dwarfed by the longer term suffering of ] the affected communities.

That's a tough question and the answer depends on:
What part of the season are we talking about? Who is playing against whom?
I think the trend in cities other than Tehran is that usually the stadiums are filled, but we are then talking about 10~15 thousand people, as most stadium are small.
In Azadai, we get a few games that will fill up the stadium (100 thouzand) but usually it is more than 75% empty.

I bought some things that now remember me of Japan. For example on the Kappabashi-dori I bought a nice tea pot and cups.I drink a lot of tea and so now I have a very beautiful tea porcelain that reminds me of my beautiful journey.I also bought a japanese wood cut print in one of the shops near the station Jimbocho. There is a good shop for Ukiyoe, named Оhya-Shobo・and I bought a reproduction of a famous beautiful wood cut print, showing a bamboo forest and the Fuji-san in the background. I will frame it and hang it in my living room in Weimar.

Anyway, the best comparison I can think of in America would be Milano cookies, but shaped differently, and the cookie part is sweetened with Milanos, but not in pocky. Same general concept. And it's really good. I love pocky.

Now I wrote a very long email to you,but you also took a lot of time and told and wrote a lot of interesting details about Japan to me. I am very interested in all this and I thank you very much that you explained so many things to me.If you have special questions about Germany I am pleased to explain this to you also I remember that there was a photograph taken from the two of us, in front of the library that you showed to me. If you can send this photo via email, as a digital image, I would like to ask you, if you could please send it to me.I took many photographs in Japan (about 700). All with a normal camera, not a digital one. But maybe I will make some digital copies of some of them. Then I could send you some examples of what I have seen. But this will take a little time.
I have mailed something to your home address and I hope it will arrive soon. My year has been busy with a new job working for a nonprofit foundation in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is a job with much responsibility and I am learning many skills.I will remain at this job for possibly another year and then I hope to move back to Hawaii and return to teaching about the environment. I went to a special place in New Mexico to watch the sunrise on the winter solstice. It is located in a beautiful canyon and filled with ancient Anasazi Indian ruins. The sunrises through an opening along a path on the morning of the first day of winter. Unfortunately it was a cloudy morning and the sun did not cast its shadow along the path. But this was my third winter solstice at this spot, however the first two were bright and sunny. It was still special even without the sunlight.
Did you celebrate the solstice? I was sorry to hear of the passing of your dear friend. I also lost someone dear to me to cancer and I know how terrible it can be. He was very lucky to have you as his friend and I'm sure your visits meant a great deal to him.I will be leaving on January 1,for a trip to Hawaii.I will spend one week there visiting friends, hiking, and walking on the beach. It is so beautiful and warm. A very good place to in January when it is cold and snowy elsewhere.
I will now make a little Нew Years Holiday・with some friends. We will stay together in a house in the very northern part of Germany, close to the Eastern Sea,near Denmark. We also celebrate New Year, but maybe it is even more important for you in Japan. I read some things about special rituals on the first day of the Year that you practise,in order to have a lucky year. Please tell me more about this,I am very interested in these special rituals. How are you celebrating New Year? You told me about the special meal Osechi, what does it consist of? You mentioned also the special event in Kyomizu-dera temple.I have seen this temple It is wonderfully situated above Kyoto, like a balcony.
For all the poor working mom's out there thinking, "Oh, great−something else to feel guilty about: not being home in time for dinner," the study found that any meal will do, including breakfast.

Of course there are disadvantages of suburdan life. In the fourth act of the play there may be a moment when the fate of the erring wife hangs in the balance, and utterly regardless of this the last train starts from Victria at 11:15. Itmust be annoying to have to leave her at such acrisis; it must be annoying too to have to preface the curtailed pleasures of the play with a meat ter and hasty dressing in the afternoon. But after all, one cannot judge life from its facilities for play-going. It would be absurd to condemn the suburbs because of the 11:15.
