Hey!!! you NEETs, nerds, YouTube-link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboos from all over the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning linguists and stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys. And let's hope the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!
This is the place to have a ball and Windows Me!!!!
>>18 It's Russian. An old Soviet song about being a soldier away from home, missing his wife and child, and that he'll return safely because she's waiting for him.
>>17 I'm glad to see your face. I assumed your russian wife ordered you not to use 2ch. It was my dilusion that you bragged about your wife's big boobs hiding under anonimity .
I know nothing about Russian, but when I heard Tamori, who is a comedian, speaking Russian, I thought what a gloomy launguage it was. Then I realized it's because it's so cold in Russia that they can't open their mouths widely.
I don't want to see sparky discouraged in Japan. Sparky would feel that he has nowhere to go on this planet. Sucide would be the final option. Japan is not a dream world. Just keep on dreaming.
See? Sparky never writes long sentences Cause Sparky knows if he/she did, We can tell from his/her English that he/she is not a native English speaker.
>>32 about Japan. Japan is a gold contry which never existed, which only exists in your dream. If you arrive Japan, you will be disappointed. So just keep on dreaming.
It doesn't matter whether you lives in Louisiana or whatever What I'm saying is you are Japanese If not, how could you come up with this phrase "OMAEGANA" in this thread http://toki.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/usa/1228303625/301-400
>>20 I've temporarily escaped from the basement, using a disguise to access the website so she doesn't beat me again.
Actually, I don't know any, well... large, Russians. Except maybe the girl who teaches Korean in St Petersburg. But she was quite short, so it might have only been an illusion. The rest I know are either about average or below average size.
>>23 Speaking Russian, or imitating a Russian accent while speaking nonsense? Fujimura did that too. If spoken low or slowly, it can sound pretty drab, but it's okay otherwise. The last time I was in Russia, it was 38ºC, so maybe that's why it sounded more lively...
>>28 I didn't realise... it just seemed that we all have different interests.

Is he really married? I'm not on to the latest information.
Is イギリス人 a nice guy who looked like Orlando Bloom? I don't think Orland Bloom is prominent handsome. But his back muscle is awesome. I don't know it's disgrace for British celebrities to show up in tv commercial. He do an cm job in Japan. He drives toyota or something in the CM. He chined himself on a bar a couple of times before he got in the car in the building of his workplace. Is it an elite life style? lol
>>49 Not a joke? While Toyota guy is not Orland Bloom, Orland Bloom seems to have done commercials many times in Japan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dBJk_27stg I'm not interested in ikemen movies oriented for noisy girls. I guess Orland Bloom become popular in Japan by Pirates and Caribbean series, which I've never watched any of. I have recently confirmed who is who.
Actually, I don't know any, well... large, Russians. Except maybe the girl who teaches Korean in St Petersburg. But she was quite short, so it might have only been an illusion. The rest I know are either about average or below average size.
He has keenly watched boobs and remembers sizes. lol
Tomorrow is the pay day. I hope my income will rise. And today is released the movie, Here after in Japan. I do wanna watch the movie! But now, I don't afford to do that. So, I'm waiting for pay day. Sigh...
>>59 What city do you live in? New Orleans? Speaking of Louisiana, I've learned about "Louisiana Purchase" from a book titled "What young Americans know about history." The third president, Thomas Jefferson bought the land from France in 1803.
>>27 I believe he is Japanese if he said, "OMEEGANA" instead of "OMAEGANA" . The former is high level Japanese, I think.
By the way, I always try to make my post to be concise and easily readable. Keeping it short and to the point is much harder than making long sentences, I suppose. That's also the spirit of 2ちゃんねる, right?
>>65 I don't know whether that's the spirit of 2ch or not. The phrase "OMEEGANA" sounds like an anime character. Besides, he wrote in http://toki.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/usa/1228303625/301-400 "I want to speak Japanese" That is kind of weird. Probably he wanted to say "I want to be able to speak Japanese"
>>68 OK, I respect your comments. Now, Sparky-chan, this is the time when you restore your pride in being an American. Please write long sentences in English to convince 68 you are American.
I guess being recognized as Japanese is the best compliment for Sparky. I think it's not true though.
I want to let you in on a good information. Even average looking white guy can be charisma in Japan. So can sparky be. I guess you can be passed as White, judged only from the apperance. You have a place to run away to. And I don't have a place to go. How pathetic I am.
Former diplomat Masaru Sato told that Russian babie are swathed around in the cloth, made not to move in winter. I guess parentes have to do it practically to have their children get over harsh winter.
We can see how such unfree childhood affects characteristics later.
Sparky seems to love SF. Do you like Cyber Punk like New Romancer? I guess Ghost in the shell and other japanese near future SFs are just reproductions of Blade Runner and such. I've never seen them but I can tell. lol
How ugly Oshii is. He also wants to get machine body and live forever.
I once loved SF. But I later became aware of me not good at mathmatics. I quit considering SF anymore.
Sparky, are you good at mathematics and computer science?
I'm not sure if Sparky is Japanese or not But he/she looks like a Japanese somehow... Maybe it's because all he/she writes is simple sentences and phrases
I said once that cute boys and macho men were not compatible each other. They are pretty diffrent. It's more natural that cute boys lover would hate machomen and macho men lovers would hate cute boys. Are you implying cute boys with macho body? It's unprobable. If he exists, he has to be high teenager.
today i go to japanese gay sauna at umeda terminal. a wide range of types exist, but the main is mostly chubby or bear with buzz-cut-like hair. so i should trim my hair and beard by using my clippers. don't hesitate to come with us, spark.
>>106,105 I like masturbating with a picture of mature saggy boobs the most. The first thing we did in our lives was sucking mature boobs(nipples), right? It's vital to survive, so it's very natural that I love mature women. And I'm convinced I'm in the majority. Don't you know 熟女ブーム in Japan?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61Mn_LaMCcY I've seen her for the first time.... I guess she can become popular in Japan too. not far from my taste. She is diffrent from beyonce, kasha, lady gaga, katy perry and other craps.
Then my memory was brough up. It was not the first to to see Alizee. I once found her attractive and searched about her for a while. lol That means I'm not otaku. I found her fancy and forgot about her sooner.
I think I learned about Alizzee here a couple of years ago. Did Kg2ch post twice here? I'm not sure. I don't think she existed on this board at that time.
It is 2011. The world is never going to be the same. You have to come to terms with the fact that there will be a huge international music exchange. Artists will be singing in other languages. The most unusual things happen. Because when you go cross lingual exciting things happen. When exciting things happen you make profits. Anyone arguing the opposite should go back to the last millenium.
This is the cure for stagnant economy, Use your heads.
Humanity is suffering from existential boredom. It is aggravated by the existence of the internet. The internet spreads boredom. Because boredom is written permamently, humans accept their boredom. This is the first stage to recovery. Then obviously somewhere someone (me) suggests ssomething different. It gets bombarded with negativity. But then because it is written on the internet (such as this thread) It lingers on. Suddenly at some point the negative becomes the feasible, the doable. Yes there will be objections and protests. But you cannot beat this way of thinking. It is the key to survival.
PS: Companies send your queries by email, I might consider your offer for the creative thinking post. Yes I am a nail that sticks out. But I will hammer your face in so do not even think about it.

If you say you are particular about aestheticism, you should check out hyde from L'Arc-en-Ciel. If you say you open your eyes to world-wide market, you should check out hyde from L'Arc-en-Ciel. L'Arc has already made their tour in France legendary one. It was crowded to capacity with L'arc manias.
To catch up with times, you need to "participate" in the way things are and not insist o doing things your own way only. Sometimes a song has a certain sound sample and it spreads all over the world like wildfire. Songwriters who are in with the flow pick it up and use it in their songs. It doesnt mean they are less creative. It means they are willing to "participate".
This Sparky = gay thing is getting old. Let's just agree that Sparky is an English speaking asexual virgin of unknown origin who is attracted to two dimensional transhuman? beings.
Some might say Spark is abnormal and that may be true, but let me say this just this once. Spark is human before talking about sex. He has the right to love CBs and MM. We should support him in this respect. Spark is a gay.
But it seems to me that the love you are talking about is a love which is connected to sex. Because to love CBs and MM means to love their appearances , looks or something physical. True love or humanity as a human is more spiritual thing.
Hello. Good morning everyone. Today is pay day of my workplace and I'm gonna watch the movie, Here after. After watching, I'll write comment about it in this thread as before(The social network and Wall street).
How perverted people I think come to this thread! This thread might be a reason why people abroad think of Japanese as Hentai. I am ashamed of your doing such foolish things. Please don't make us general Japanese thought as that Hentai.
>>168 I don't think that anyone browsing a Japanese website, written in Japanese, to talk to Japanese people, is going to judge you harshly. I don't know if the other native English speakers lurk the English chans, but they are far, far more perverted than anything in these threads (except maybe Sparky).
>>178 you know >>177 is tsundere. lemme use japanese here, >>177 is just like もうあんたってホントバカ外人なんだから。 一緒にバカやってくれる人がいないと一人ぼっちになっちゃうでしょ。 だからアタシもやってあげてんのよ。 覚えといてよね!! sorry about using japanese in this thread.
Hi, I'm gonna write comment about the movie, Here after as I promised in >>162. Honestly speaking, it was so vague to me. Although I can't say the detail of the movie not to kill the interest of people wanna watch and don't stiill do that, all I can say is so. I guess Clint Eastwood let us think the continuing story from the ending. Incidentally, I guess Matt Damon as a spiritualist in this movie will de- cide to rework as a spiritualist and... oh too much push myself. I stop.
Anyway do you believe in hereafter? I don't believe at all. The world is nowhere. Instead of the world, eternal darkness is after we die, I do think. please tell me what do you think.
When I was a member of Lang-8, some native speakers corrected my English mistakes If my memory serves me correctly, the expression" honestly speaking" was included among them.
>>195 Hahaha, but it's not so easy to be used to Japanese you know Japanese has katakana, hiragana, kanji Now matter how often gay Sparky visites that kind of site, he can't be unless he's studying
How many gay people are there in America? In your estimate? About a million? I hope Sparky will find and participate in some kind of gay community, where he can solve his problems and share them with people there. :)
>>194 I see. Louisiana probably isn't a gay friendly place to live. Sparky must have been living a hard life there. New York would be better for him. Do they discriminate against a Panamanian gay? Hope not.
we japanese even know california, newyork are gay friendly place. but also we don't know such a case happens. is there any historical backgrounds exist ?
>>210 I'm Japanese and don't know much about American history. I've heard Gay Boom started from Gold Rush period in California in 1848–49. A great number of men flooded into a particular region of California as miners, however, in the place there were almost no women... When you can't find woman's hole, you get to think any hole will do for you.(Just like when you are starved, you eat anything.)
The most famous Japanese shogun 織田信長 used to take a pretty boy with him to battlefields. I don't think he was gay. He needed a pretty boy as a woman substitute.
http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20110220-00000048-mai-int "This is a Genocide. Please let the world know about it!" A male doctor repeatedly appealed it to Japanese newspaper in an exhausted voice. The doctor in Benghazi city witnessed the tragic situation of their city where the security forces crack down the protesters violently..
The doctor said the security force has been "shooting the protesters with machine guns and anti-aircraft machinguns.".. The injured people's wounds are mainly on their upper bodies such as heads or throats.. which suggests their intentions to kill. "The demonstration was held peacefully, and there were lawyers and doctors involved." Another doctor in a different hospital said on Saturday, "There are flood of injured people and bodies. I have never seen the situatioin like this" ..breaking down in tears
not "on air" of course p2p, sorry, I was paying attention glued to the screen waiting for the news to stop and the programme to resume to see Kame's new shorter hair, he is soooo cute!!!!
>>224 I remember. I have the same experience too. I watched world cup soccer games which japanese TVs didn't air. It was intermittent and very irritating as you said.
This Japanese sounds very gentle and lady. I can't expect real japanese women use these usage to me in real life. It was like a dialog of upper class young lady from syojo manga or melodrama.
>>234 Thank you for your kind words. Please do not underestimate yourself. I am sure you can make real Japanese ladies very happy too. Especially if you start with the simplest of things, everyone would appreciate you. I studied elementary level Japanese the year before. I really want to go back to studying soon. >>236, assuming you are >>234, yes I did. Not once but three times. Thanks again. Now please don't be anxious and have a good night's sleep.
I don't think it's a disgrace for western actors to be in Japanese advertising; it's more of a side-job. We never really hear about their commercials unless people tell us about them though. Very, very few people in the UK would know that Ringo Starr advertises apple juice, or Harrison Ford advertises Kirin beer.
Sparky is 1) a Panamanian American 2) uses dear old shitty windows ME 3) lives in a state called Louisiana 4) has a big dark secret 5) and it's that he's a gay
>>262 there are many gay bars. and how to say... there is so called gay scene here. of course it's not like big cities in east or west coast, but it's fun enough to me.
Now, let's start sitting! With this Higanji's Zazen application, you will be able to do Zazen whenever, where ever you want. A single tap will start playing the instructions for Zazen. You will know the beginning of the session by hearing the bell of a Zen temple. You can set the session time freely.

>>284 When I was in Australia living with some Australians I told them about some Japanese nice food and I recommended "Katsdon". Then they looked little shocked because they wrong heard what I said as "Cat suit on".
>>286 clueless people! This is the age of the internet. Anyone who doesnt know about katsudon should be kicked out of this planet. Not that I ate katsudon ever. www
>>296 Seattle is filled with Asian people of various descents. Be on the lookout for Japanese people. Girls with blonde hair? I dunno, start a conversation with one. Just don't be creepy.
I'm happy the two of you finally met at the right place. Just be friends with each other. I hope you will love each other. The first couple we ever had in this board.
When a horde of darkspawns are ahead of me, I activate blood magic and use blood wound, then most of the time succeed in binding those darkspawns and I come near them to use cone of cold to make sure they are frozen, and then comes stonefist. With this tactics I almost always am successful in beating darkspawns without taking decent damages.
>>284 I really do, I am. If you can keep that 可愛い and 丁寧な character, you are welcome and loved by Japanese men. But always being 可愛い and 丁寧な is hard work.(Irritating things happen also in Japan.)
That goes to show one example of how stressful Japanese society is.
One of my friend bought a porno magazine in America. And I read it and found it without any mosaic!! I didn't know ones in America are without any mosaic. That's so great!!
>>310 So you don't like me for who I am, but for the couple of polite words I wrote here in Japanese? I am disappointed. It means I would never make a Japanese boyfriend happy unless I transform into a Japanese woman overnight,
folks, good morning. this is a start of another wonderful day.
>>318 happy b-day kame. i hope he's gonna have a great year.
>>311 it's cold but not bland. dodekamin is a combination of do = emphasis deka = huge min = vitamin. and as the name indicates it's one of lame energy drink like monster or redbull. once you drink, your penis is stiff like a rock.
>>322 Hey we are in the Internet Age. We don't need yakuza to get these stuff, though the Big Brother might be watching you from behind if you have a perverted taste.
>>319 To tell you the truth, I find you very attractive since you have excellent(洗練されていて、しかもナウい) English that I can never achieve. Myriad of Japanese people have English complex so they admire English speaker.(So do I.)
I bet Kame-chan's staff would pass on your lovely bilingual letter to him.
>>348 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hacker_%28programmer_subculture%29 The Jargon File, a compendium of hacker slang, defines hacker as "A person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems and stretching their capabilities, as opposed to most users, who prefer to learn only the minimum necessary."
>>350 That means "a person who never gets bored with having sex with the same partner over and over again, because he finds something new every time and that gives him a great pleasure."
Its solo purpose is to send a message to a person who has his nose hair accidentally stick out of his/her nose and urge him to pull out or cut it.
It's difficult to say "your nose hair is stick out face to face" even if you are good friends with each other. Or perhaps it's Japanese characteristics that it's hard to say that face to face. Actually this is a joke service and doesn't work for people who understand this kind of joke. This service can even make friendship or relationship get worse.
All you have to do is just type a recipeint email addy and select what tone of voice you use when you notify him/her that their nose hair is out, how many nose hair was out when you saw him/her the last time etc. You can use a template, urging to have him cut or pull out nose hair. The template message is wide in variety depending on your relationship with the resipient.
http://hanage.info/ The service name is hilarious. 鼻毛通知サービス「チョロリ」 チョロリ is onomatopoeia and it's shows the way nose hair is stuck out.
Can you say face to face your friends, collegues, boyfriend or girlfriend "your nose hair is stick out" in your culture or country?
Oh, Honestly speaking is a wrong expression? I didn't know at all.
Anyway, I'm gonna tell you about the earthquake of NZ, you know. According to my mother, her girlfriend's daughter(incidentally, she is 20years old as well as I'm)is studying abroad to there. So, that girlfriend was concerned about her daughter today. But, fortunately, she is alright. I'm pleased. And I hope all the missing people are all right.
>>332 You call me perverted? I'm no criminal and no one can blame me.
Many people here talk about perverts, however, I think every individual has at least one interest which is considered to be perverted. We are not ideal robots, right? I believe that's what makes the world interesting.
I've completed Dragon Age 2 demo. I played rogue. It's magnificent, interesting, great and fun. But I'm quite used to the Origins interface and so need to get accustomed to the new one...
イギリス人 is leaning toward BNP more and more. There is no time to kill his precious time for video game nonsense. He is leading a life of activism first these days.
I'm afraid that Kamenashi would inform Akanishi of KG2ch. She might be abused by Akanishi group. Scary. Please keep anonymous and an distance from Johnny's.
I don't care what's happening around the world. I don't even care the earthquake in NZ and how many people died under rubbles of building. I don't care the political turmoils and demonstrations in middle east. All I care is about myself. You tell me to have a heart? But that's what I am and in fact, that's what you are, too.
Let's be honest. You don't care how many people die in middle east, right? Nobody die of heart attack even when lots of people are masacared. But you could die of heart attack if you found out that you've just lost all of your money in the stock market. You could die of heart attack if you heard your house has just been burned down while you're out. You couldn't die or couldn't be shocked to death even if people died because of natural disatsters, political turmoil, revolution or whatever.
These examples show that all you are concerned is about yourself. Let's just be honest. I don't blame you.
I ignored fundraising campaign for Africa? around Shibuya station on last Sunday. I said to myself "I am not rich enough to care about other people. In the mean time I have to be able to sustain myself first."
made omurice for the first time today. I used slightly a different recipe but due to the pan having past is best, the omelette disintegrated. I managed to fold part of the omelette. the taste is not too bad, however I think the Korean chilli sauce I put on top ruined it. (you would love that wouldn't you).
>>377 You must learn that Korean chili sauce is not ketchup. Though both are red, chili sauce is not made from tomato, but from blood of some big mammals.
>>383 Hello щ-san! (I'm assuming you're Japanese). Why is your script different than everyone else's? Your participle use is good. But even better... "I'm learning English by watching boys' videos on youtube" You said something like... 私は男のヴィデオを見るので、英語を学ぶ。 What I said would be more like... 私は男のヴィデオを見るのことで、英語を学んでいます。 Maybe my Japanese can't properly express it.
>>392 You can say it without them but it becomes ambiguous. Saying "by watching videos" specifies that that's how you learn. Otherwise it might mean "while watching videos" which has a different meaning.
This is one quote: I was recently on a tour of Latin America, and the only regret I have was that I didn't study Latin harder in school so I could converse with those people.
>>04 Sorry but I don't have enough ability to understand what's so funny about that quote. If there is a comma before so, it don't make sense but in case of that, I've learned that its meaning is the same as that of " in order to" or " so as to". So the sentence does make sense to me.
Anyway, I do think You Tube is useful to learn English. We all Japanese can learn English, watching some videos used English such as BBC's or ABC's news video, musicians' promotion video. I don't think I need to buy any English learning CD like Speed learning well-known for young pro- golfer Ryo Ishikawa loving to use it. I'm myself good enough.
>>412 No, even your sentence is ambiguous to me, if you don't use your imagination on context.
You might be misunderstood. Maybe you study English while watching CBs (who don't speak English). You open textbooks at the desk but just enjoy watching videos.
「私はYou Tubeで少年達のビデオを見て、英語を勉強しています」 would be clearer.
>>386 Hey! nice to see you Nanashisan! ts right! im jap!lol nd soz 4 using different font thats becuz I was chattin on other bbs which doesn't accept the postings written in only this font.. hmm maybe im not making sense ...lol
and thanks for making it better however ofcourse Im not learning English by only boys vids Im learnig grammars which is killinme and Ofcourse learning by watching southpark. Finnish children learn English from Southpark and they are very good at English. ah and you should remember to say "男の子" or 少年 for "boy" Im dont like to watch alreadygrownupppped guys thats so gay
>>417 Are you learning internet English? it's pretty different than regular English. I would recommend starting with regular English and don't worry about the weird abbreviations like "wut" and "eng" and "sum1".
>>412 Ah, thank you. That's what I get for trusting Google for even one little thing. Although is the 達 necessary? If I just said 少年 would that sound more like just one boy?
>>414 OK, so then more accurately, >>383's post would be like 「私はYou Tubeで少年達のビデオを見ながら、英語を勉強しています」 and mine would be more like 「私はYou Tubeで少年達のビデオを見て、英語を勉強しています」 Maybe that makes more sense.
>>423 Oh, maybe it's more like "I'm using youtube videos as English teaching materials." Yes. That sounds more right. Clearly my Japanese needs improvement.
>>416 Don't call yourself Jap. Jap was a derogatory and discriminatory word for Japanese. It's like black people saying "I'm nigger" in front of non-black people.
http://www.google.co.jp/ Here is a google front page. I found works of Taro Okamoto who is a famous Japanese modern artist and re-valuated now in Japan. An object on the right is tower of the Sun(太陽の塔), which was the monument of Osaka Exposition '70 and symblozes high economic growth of Japan along with Tokyo tower. Tower of the Sun has special meanings for Japanese in certain generations.
If you have read a comic "20th century boy20世紀少年" by Urasawa Takeshi, You may have noticed something special.
I guess Taro Okamoto is undertated even in Japan. He was famous for his queer and genious-like behavior. He often furrowed his brows to the camera and shouted "the Art is an explosion" with great passions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jv2slOlO7mc He was kind of an laughing stock and he may have acted like clown. I guess he was conscious of Dali. In-fact he was an educated man and could write decent Japanese in academical sense. It can be also said that he was a real genius and he just said and done what he felt. I guess the reason are both ; his genius character and his publicity stunt. His strange behavior may have made him more popular but made him undertaed.
I thought works of Taro was an treat for Japanese. http://www.google.com/ I could see the same objects on google America. Can you foreigners see works of Taro? Do works of Taro only appear through servers in Japan?
I'm not sure of google staff's intention and hom many foreigners can recognize that as Taro's works and how many foreigners try to know the creator of the works by google.
Google has the power to change the world. Google staff are tring to make him more recognized in the world?
>>421 i typed like that but its ok ofcourse i learn regular english and i can type it but its neccessary to know internet slangs in order to understand what they says
達is not essential for me in this case, I would not put達 but both are natural
>>426 yer but youngers don't know that jap is an offensive word and they use it just as shortend form think about it its stupid that yankee adopted 'jap' as insulting word it really seems just shortend form
>>433 You have to know the history and you knew it. You should not use any more once you knew the history. Your action will boil down to obfuscating the history.
And still there are people who intentionally use Jap in formal places like url. 韓国政府が日本侮蔑? サイトURLに「jap」の文字 It's not the first time koreans did the thing. What I remember is years ago. That was an korean festival site for Japanese viewers. Aomori people helped koreans to open the festival. Their answer; the festival is korean original and has a long long history. ; description of jap on the site.
I now know they dit it again recently. They knew the history and used it with malicious intentions. This time, korean government did. lol
We should draw the line and make things more clear. Koreans can say "everyone including щ says jap without malicious intentions. and we koreans are the same" but it's not true. Don't excuse them for using Jap.
Korean don't call themselves gook. In this respect they have more common sense than "Jap".
>>438 No, I'm not the one who cautioned you the last time. I'm not the only one who feels embarrased. I'm not special at all. You will be cautioned eternally untill you stop.
>>451 I understand the (current) regular meaning of the proverb and the interpretation was particularly for 371. I think the meaning of a proverb can change with the times and adapt to the situation.
What I want to say is that each of you can interpret proverbs unless you are taking a test.
>>452 I guess even under the old interpretation which is the only legitimate one to me, your interpretation is **slightly** off, and that's >>451 wanted to say.
My understanding of the proverb is: Helping others is also beneficial to you in the long run.
>>455 No,no. You have decent English and interpretation of the proverb. The legitimate interpretation is just like you said. My own interpretation in this case is the following.
The purpose of helping others is helping yourself. (You should help others, otherwise you may get in trouble.)
>>442 UN North korean staff called japanse staff "jap!" on a UN conference as a retaliation. Their logic is that if Japan continues to use a discriminatory word 北朝鮮 North Chosen(korea), North korea uses a discriminatory word, Jap instead.
北朝鮮 is literally kanji character of North Chosen(korea). 北朝鮮 is more precise than North Korea because Korea is originally from 高麗kogryo dynasty. They don't blame western people and order Japan only to use precise country name. It was an implicit rule for Japanese media to refer to North Korea as 朝鮮民主主義人民共和国(chosen minsyusyugi jinmin kyowakoku) at least one time untill abduction incidents came to light. Japanese media had been sympathetic with North Korea and been so afraid of protests from North Korea supporters in Japan. 朝鮮民主主義人民共和国 is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in English. Japanese media had to read this long and contradictory country name when it's mentioned first.
South and North koreans know Japs are N' words.
Anyway, I'm glad to know you stopped using Jap. I really apprecited it. Thank you. I can't imagine American or Rurssian ambassadors use Jap in public even if they know it doesn't have as bad connotation as it did.
情けは人の為ならず I'm shocked. I assumed it meant that mercy wouldn't help others. I guess most of Japanese today interpreted the proverb as I said. It's sad that negative interpretation is more prevalent than its original meaning.
>>436 I'm a bit disappointed to hear the fact from you. The Taro log was designed to please Japanese.
What nanashi ◆NANaShiTfI さん see on google.com? I tried to access google.com via a proxy server located in U.S. That was in vain. The formal google logo was on the screen. I went back to google.co.jp and found that Taro logo was not there. The same original logo was there for some reason.
I want to see every logo in every country. How can I do?
情けは人の為ならず in English literally means "compassion is not for other people's benefit". A good way of saying that in English would be "the good you do for others is good you do yourself". I got that from a dictionary that has that phrase for some reason.
By the way, I have to use a proxy to get here now. How annoying!
What a sociable day it was. It was basically a catch-up day after two months of Venusian hibernation. I went to a Korean restaurant tried Jap Chae, and Bulgogi. Lots of Kimchi and Korean green tea. Japanese sashimi and food is always my favourite. But Korean food is good when you want to recharge!
Ahh I was watching the making of Ultimate Wheels by Kattun last night. Sweet flirtitous Kame-chan has been working out in the gym. He looks great with those sculpted masculine arms. His moves are amazingly fluid and sensual. He is captivatingly childish and cute at the same time. what a strangely attractive combination.
Miyaichi-san is incredibly good looking. He looks perfect. They may look ordinary to you but he has such beautiful eyes. But Kamenashi does not look perfect, he has a broken nose, a unique face shape that makes him look incredibly hot.
>>484 He'll be in England probably next year. He's an Arsenal player, but since he hasn't played Japan's national team yet, he needs to be on loan to Feyenoord this season to get a work visa in England.
>>484 But there is a rumor on the web that he has a serious girl friend. ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXBMvGuMvU0&t=1m45s The girl on this video is said to be his girlfriend, who went to the airport to send him to Rotterdam. She is really cute, though.
>>493 No, no. I apologize if you took my words that way. I said that in general, of course. In fact, I can't understand other guy's taste in women...I might have kind of a weird taste. haha.
No, we shouldn't ignore Sparky. He feels lonely if we don't talk to him. We are all under obligation that we should talk to him everytime he appears here. Let's not get the cute gay guy down.
I don't think Sparky is stupid. He's a gay. He has a different view of life than others, and I'd not call that stupid. Plus he's still young. A young Pamananian gay boy Sparky is.
>>505 I responded to 502, not 503. And I can't understand some people here label him(Sparky-chan) as gay, even though he's denying it. Anyhow, I don't have bad feelings toward gay.
I am back from a party tonight, in which I enjoyed my bocchi. I am eating cup ramen before going to bed. I hope you guys who are in Japanese have had good weekend and feel ready for a hectic week. Good night!!
>>518 A man who lived with the top idol 20 yrs his senior... I doubt it. He would maybe, just for a bit of publicity. >>519 Yamapi has gone bad. He should have continued to do his PhD. He should retire.
>>522 Your detection circuits must have blown a fuse. I haven'tgot the remotest idea about Korea or Koreans apart from a couple of dishes I tasted recently. I tried making some of their recipes too. I also watch (or not watch because they tend to be too loud) Korean drama if there is a (plastically enhanced) handsome actor in it. honestly you have absolutely no common sense.
C'mon Sparky, don't go anonymous yet! I know you feel a bit uncomfortable with those fags getting busy trying to get in your pantsu all the time, but hey, it's just that they love you. ....yeah, they love you sooooo much, Sparky.
Can I ask a favor of you? I'd like you to build a new thread for beginners to be able to practice in writing English. I don't know how to do it and have never done. There used to be a kind of threads such as " monologue" " English diary" and I was a frequent user for them. But they were gone somewhere! You can post anything you like in this thread if you want to but basically this thread exists for chatting with someone. So it's a bit incovenient for English learners like me who want to practice in writing English.
>>543 It's very easy. 1) Scroll to the bottom and you'll find the "新規スレッド作成" button 2) Click on it 3) Put a thread name in the タイトル box 4) Write an explanation in the 内容 box 5) Then click on the 新規スレッド作成 button And boom. It's done.
>>545 Thank you, sir. I've learned the way from someone before but I've never found the "新規スレッド作成”button on my computer screen. >>544 I agree to your opinion in that respect but it's not the point.
I started a thread for english diary. I made a slight modification to the rule: if a diary writer prefers having grammar checks, they can express the preference.
If you do not be in favor of this new rule, I'm sorry, but I believe the best way to improve your writing skill is to have others' comments, and want to provide diary writers to have that option.
For a monologue thread, if you provide the template, I can start a thread.
>>552 Thank you, sir. How can I express my gratitude for your efforts? I'll make the best use of the thread. With regard to the new rule,I think it's a good idea. One thread is good enough for me, so I don't nee a monologue thread.
Looks like Gaddafi isn't Korean. The Korean UN chief said Gaddafi needs to be punished. It's getting really kimchy. This whole arab revolution. And why is the UN chief Korean? It's ridiculous.
Don't try to criticize Spargay for being a gay. Spargay was banned not because he's a gay, but because he was too gay to act normally. Don't call him a closet gay, he's an open gay. And should he choose to leave, let him do so.
Don't take SG for granted. He can go anywhere he likes. Don't forget he has the choice of going back to 4ch. If you want him to stay here, just enjoy a G conversation. If you are a CB, SG will be happy to talk with you. If you are a MM, he will be pleased to enjoy talking with you. If you like him a lot and find out he's left for another board, just stalk him. SG will probably be in 4ch.
>>599 We have displayed hina dolls for sometime in our house because I have sister. Family without girls doesn't have hina dolls.
I heard that you have to stop displaying them by I-forgot-when time. If you keep displaying them beyond the date, girls in a family can't get married or something. Wierd, huh?
>>599 The Hina Matsuri song says, "♪ Let's light up paper lanterns called "Bon bori" Give them flowers named " Momono hana" a tune played by five men with flutes and drums. Today is the funny Hina Matsuri festival ♪
>>602 In my hometown, it's April 3, a month after the festival. When I called my mom today, she told me that she's gonna display it though my sister got married last year. A tear-dropping story, isn't it?
>>606 Is there any meaning to your e-mail, fffffffffff? Is it your personal statement like I am a fucking foolish flathead freaky fuckmaniac faggot from a fucked-up family?
>>605 Oh, thanks. It's April third. If you keep displaying beyond the date, it's said that the girl(s) in your family can't get married.
My sister's married, too but still my mother displays hina dolls like your mom around this time of year. Maybe that's what mothers are about. Even if daughters get married and leave the nest, mothers still pround of being her mother.
I think this superstition? is to encourage families not to procrastinate putting the hina dolls display in a box and keep it to a closet or somewhere.
>>608 I think what happens when you leave the doll displayed after the date is the girl in your family will be late in getting married. My sister was not young but not old either at the marriage. She was a little younger than the current average age for women's first marriage, 28.5.
I am not sure what my mom thinks. But she is a kind of woman who does not forget her girlie taste.
>>609 Ah, it's just being late in getting married. I'm ignorant. Nanashi can learn even Japanese like me don't know much about the details of Hinamatsuri display. Maybe your mom just wants to celebrate Hinamatsuri without specific reasons. These special days in a year can be spice in life.
If Spargay left here, who would succeed him? KazuKata said he was a gay, but he hasn't shown himself quite often. No Spargay, no gay life. Do you really want it? No you shouldn't. You want Spargay to stay here.
Isn't it about time we grow out of this gay joke? I don't pretend this to be a serious thread, but I for one am starting to lose interest in this thread because of this boring topic. If you want gay go to 801.
The real people. And I only speak on behalf of the people around me. I'm sure things would be a lot different in the more country area, where people tend to be discriminatory to any outsider, Japanese or not.
Guys. Some small demonstrations are actually happening in many places in China, it seems. Meanwhile, dirty Russia and Korea join forces and invade our islands in the north, says news.
Anyway,we have to fight against Russia again someday in order to take back the Kuril islands. because they'll never return them to Japan on their own motive.
[07:13] <fux0r> >Russia is the most despicable country ever. [07:13] <fux0r> I'm russian and I totally agree with you. [07:13] <fux0r> >fight against Russia again someday in order to take back the Kuril islands [07:13] <fux0r> >because they'll never return them to Japan on their own motive. [07:13] <fux0r> Why should we return somebody something ours? [07:13] <fux0r> Japan better to sit down and deal with its internal problems, otherwise it will surely get second Hiroshima and Nagasaki. [07:13] <fux0r> Do you want that? I am not. [07:13] <fux0r> [07:13] <fux0r> That is what my post says.
>>67 Next time, we'll never lose. Because we've developped a super bomb called GAY BOMB, which is Sparky times more powerful than the atomic bomb used in Hiroshima.
>>648 The doll's name is old-fashioned. Today, she is made so exquisite that such a name is unsuitable for her. Please call her idol's name such as "Akina" "jyunko" "Yuko" "Maki"
I've been watching a lot of videos about politics in the UK as listening practice, and this is what I've learned (from reading the comments, not the videos). Firstly, "cunt" seems to be their favourite insult. It is used abnormally frequently. Secondly, when someone is not getting called a cunt, they are usually getting called a "bellend".
>>655 Yes, it makes sense, and it is a phrase that is often used, especially in spoken English. (Not that ___ isn't ___ ) There has to be something that comes before it for it to make sense, though. ex: "Sparky is crazy if he thinks someone is going to buy him a maid outfit. Not that Sparky isn't crazy to begin with." So, obviously, your sentence only makes sense with the context of the post before it.
>>676 if you would be mine, i would give you a tikcet. japanese YEN is really storong now, so i could buy you anything you want. just give me your adress.
It's only Japanese who criticize others' English ability. There is a proverb says," Curses come home to roots." That's why he'll be never be able to make progress in speaking it forever.
>>680 No, it would be best to say: "I need a one way ticket to Japan". (The "a" would be pronounced as an "uh", meaning that there would be no awkwardness between the words ("a apple" would sound awkward, so it is "an apple" instead. Similarly, you don't need an "an" in phrases like "a user", because it sounds fine without "an".)
The reason that Sparky got it wrong is because Sparky is a fucking idiot, don't compare anything to Sparky and expect to get meaningful results.
I'm gonna write about two movies I've watched lately. One is The king's speech, another is Tourist. First, my opinion of one it was good movie to encourage all smatters. Honestly, I hardly speak to people fluently because I'm bad at speaking. So, I thought I took energy from this movie. yah. Another was interesting. I was suprised at the end. Of course I can't write the detail for people wanna watch and still don't do that. Anyway, the movie has unexpectable end.
Oh, I have one confusing thing. That is I quit my part-time job and concentrate on my study to be a translator(I told you that some time ago, right?). From April, I'll go to an interschool and have more classes for 2-grade of university. So, it's so difficlut to continue my part-time job, what's more, lately I have made so many awful messes and scolded by manager or chief in my workplace. Sigh...orz Should I decide to do that? I'm about to say to manager or cheif that tomorrow(my working day, incidentally)...
埋地さん, when you mentioned the film "Social Network" I looked it up from our local cineama. Unfortunately there are no showings in the city I live in. Do you think there will be a DVD out soon? I mentioned it to my colleagues and they would like to see it.
埋地さん, The King's Speech is currently showing on both cinemas. But The Tourist is not. However London is just 50 mins from where I live, so there is a huge selection of films showing everyday in the metropolis. The issue is getting catching the last train back. (Not the timing, it is crowded)
>>709 I think it may already be out on DVD. I've seen people watching it on their computers in 1080p so I assume so. >>708 Japanese<->English translator? If so, best of luck! Also come visit us all over at chatango sometime. You too KG2ch.
China is working hard to suppress the protest. Some pretty amusing comments have been made by them, like this
"So far the Chinese have an impressive record for being very peaceful in international relations. With a good policy of not getting involved in others politics."
This is so ridiculous that it's actually hilarious.
>>723 You mean, you realized you were a gay in between 1997 and 1999? That's great, Sparg. It must've been tough to live through. But don't worry Sparg, you have our backup. Be brave, Sparg.
You showed us great courage, Sparky. I imagine you were worried about saying you were really a gay and that touched me. You are my hero, I mean, Gayro, Sparky. Live strong in America no matter what other people say. I wish you luck.
I watched a documenery about young homosexuals problem on TV!! I saw when they declare that they're gay, they becomes homeless because their family never accept gays
>>729 Don't try to scare Spargay. He should be treated fairly no matter what. Of course, he's a gay, but he wouldn't do any harm to you on the Internet. So just accept him as a gay person. What matters most now is whether he likes cute boys or macho guys.
>>730 what!?? m NOT tryin o scarre him!! I'm just telling what I watched on TV so,, y da fuck are you saying like that!??? see Im an gay understander but I love only young boys
so yeah
please talk about cute american kid actors plz por favor
>>734 Kraftwerk's music is Electronic music (Electronic pop music to me technical) Techno is a sub genre of Electronic dance music which is a sub genre of electronic music
>>738 Then Kraftwerk is not techno music in technical sense while it's refered to as techno wrongly. I'm not sure if Engima is techho music or not. Then How do you think about Enigma. This is what I really wanted to know.
Popular musicians like Pet Shop Boys and The Human League is categorized in electronic dance music in wikipedia. If electronic dance music is equal to techno music, they can be called techno music, right? I think they are often called electro pop musin in Japan.
Musicians like Daft Punk, Fat Boy Slim, The chemical Brothers and Prodigy sound quite techno to me even though they are categorized in the same genre as Pet Shop Boys and not listed in techno pop genre. I happedned to see the name of Ayumi Hamasaki. lol I didn't know she is an artist.
Don't make fun of him just because he wears a pink bra. He is a gay. As you know, gay people are really fashionable Wearing bras to school must be on in America. Nobody can tell if he wears a pink bra. So keep that between you and me, ok?
>>751 I still don't understand.. This song sounds sort of electronic and the singer dances in the video, but something still doesn't add up. Is this a pop song or a techno song, or a mixture of them?
>>751 then how dou you think about Enigma? Do you like it? Why do you escape from this simple quesiton? wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
For some reason, authentic techno music from America is not called techno generally in Japan. I think its called more of dance music or hiphop in Japan. Real techno is more noisy and clattery while テクノtechno in my image is more silent and mechanical like Kraftwerk.
Dead or Alive seems to be more of techno music from America. Some early Pet Shop Boys's orks soundexactly like techno, I guess, except their strange nasal voice.
>>765 Mr.Johnny loves easy prey like passive Japanese boys who will do anything to become a star. He loves white boys's looks more than Asian's but he is too coward to train western boys coz they openly speak what they think and easiy report to the authorities.
Are you from Venus? lol You are a sailor moon.. I didn't know sailor venus is usagi. I knew usagi but didn't know who sailor venus was. I googled sailor venus and usagi images go on and on. I was messed up.
Joking aside, you don't have to hide. You can be from Italy, Spain, Portugal and any European Roman Catholic countries.
I just understood your interest in Japan came from sailor moon.
You are utter rubbish at guessing. Are you married? Do you love your wife? What is your religion? Do you have emotions you cannot fulfil ? Is your imagination running wild and getting you into trouble? Are you being paid for manning this thread? Actually,,, I don't want to know.
An ultra loli complexed young man was arrested for murder in Japan.
I have an adorable gran-daughter and can't imagine her being killed by a pervert. So I will repeatedly tell my daughter not to take her eyes off her little kid.
>>815 You are a boy, aren't you? What if he falls in love with you? He suffers more. You are not a gay. The only person in the English board who can save Spargay is KazuKata, who said he's a gay. Hope he turns up again. He's lurking now.
>>816 I will never tell anyone if I'm a male or female. With this method, he would feel he speaks with just an anonymous poster. If left alone, he would commit suicide. His emotion level is unstable. He's lost control of himself. He's a helpless gay.
>>826 I would like [ to tell you one thing ], my student. [ What made me gay ] and [ how I feel about it ] is [ that I was destined to live a gay life ]. I am truly happy. But I am also happy [ that I have my only son ].
I wanna get along with my family but I don't think they love nor like me They always play so hard during I do my best to be nice and build good relationship I feel that they're so cold even to each other and I don't know why it's only me feeling sad about it
Who cares for the resignation of Mae-so-and-so foreign minister? We have lots of more serious concerns ahead of us. For example, whether Akanishi will succeed or fail in the U.S.
>>861 I don't think receiving funds from foreigners is such a trivial schandal for politicians, nor do I believe that Maehara could fix his political career anytime soon. I guess it would be more natural to say that now he is on the edge of an abyss.
>>863 The merger may be going on but not just after the collapse. They both would lose their supporters if so since the majority of their supporters hate the other party.
>>867 yeah maybe he needs some time to get recover from this scandal. However he obtains strong connections and that makes him powerful so he comes back again as all Japanese politicians have done so far.
I guess receiveing money from a korean is a big deal coz it must be influencing his policies like admitting vote rights for koreans and his avoicance of voicing phrase "korea's illegal occupation of takeshima". The sum of money is small but I guess it's the tip of the iceberg.
What is worse, we already forgot the fact he received money illegally from ex-yakuza(japanese gang). I guess it's a more critical point. He succeeded in hiding begger issue with his resigination and making the roots of two problems obscure.
I can though agree his resignation is for the benefit of the next step and he is doing right in that sense. But We can say he has no choice but to resign too.
And do you all guys know his wife is a senior member of biggest religious group, sokagakkai, the power base of Komei Party? Maehara married a rich woman with abandonment of his political ideals.
Sokkagakkai is famous for its forceful recruting and and ethnocentrism and enthsiastic cult of its leader Daisaku Ikeda. It always speaks ill of Japan and praise Korea. It was labeled as cult in France.
>>873 yeah but I'm sure there're hundreds of thousands of other politicians receive funds from the mafia and Koreans so receiving itself is not the real matter for politics.
it matters that this fact has been unveiled, and how he handles the situation.
He is straight as far as I know. I am watching him do his Home-run Project on Going. Gorgeous in his chequered shirt and that suit... When he is batting, giving his all. he looks adorable...
>>895 He was said to be in a relationship with a mature woman who broke up with her ex husband. And now she co-stars a film? That would have put Kame in shock so big he couldn't stand up again. No wonder if he's interested in nice and gentle boys.
>>892 You are a gorgeous woman with the height of around 176 cm. You should deserve a guy like Dolph Lundgren. Why do you love slanted-eyed devil with small structure?
Kyon doesnt have a child. I don't know it's her policy or against her will. Either way, this fact will lead her into depression in the long run. Already?
>>902 Some women cannot conceive. because of her he was saying he didn't want children. Now he says he does. i am sure he would make a fantastic father. He would get the entire 20-50 age group women at the wave of a hand, no problem.
Why are you scared about an intelligent and tall white guy like Dolph? He at least has two or three things kamenashi lacks of. Power, Strongness, Agility, dipoloma, height, certificate, Black Belt, Weatlth, Blue eyes, Blonde Hair, Intelligence, IQ... The lists goes on.
>>899 thanks for your kind compliment. That "slanted-eyed devil with small structure" is love. If you act like Kame, you might attract a lot of female attention I am sure. you dont even have to look like him. >>911 Maternal instinct...maybe. Naugthy boy attraction. >>912 He doesnt exist (to me anymore) >>913 Leonardo is so ordinary. Nothing special about him.
>>917 Sam Fox ... looks like a piglet in the oven. Thick waist and really unfeminine. Another one in the category of talentless short, sausage-thick blonde singers.
Are you jealous of her? She is a girl-next-door type. She lives in downtown and doesn't have a ego like Madonna. She is kind to any man from any backgrouds. She welcomes a miserable man like me.
Why are you miserable? Don't be miserable. The only think that makes you miserable is you. Find your character and play this life drama as you like it. There is no rehearsal!
Kame girl used to be quite active concerning Kat-tun's invitation to Europe. If she was successful, there was a chance she would meet Kame in person as a director.
Poor Sparky. He was supposed to be a girl. The God made a mistake. He needs to change his gender. If not possible, at least he can live as a gay. Wish him luck, everyone.
they say doing " shiko shiko" every day is not good for the health of your hair. So why don't you bind your both hands with a rope once in a while while you are in bed?
