3:45- gordon, first of all, a few more lines coming in about operation itself.
yes, US officials are saying that three other people died in the operation that killed osama bin ladin, and said that one of them was a son of al quida leader. we also understand there might also have been a helicopter crash, an ameridan helicopter crash as part of the operatin, although due to mechanical failure, which was then destroyed, but still the operation was successful from the amrican point of view,in terms of getting osama bin ladin, clearly.
so do you wanna? just take us through step by step, what we know about the acutual events themselves.
yes we still ??? details are still coming in, what we understand is that some, the US appears to have focused on this particular compound which is in a kind of sattelite town not far from the capital islamabad. they perhaps were looking at some of the couriers around osama bin ladin, they identified them, they looked at their housing, they realized this was an unusual villa, unusual compound, with high walls, they started wondering who might be there, and last August they started really trying to use intelligence assets to work out what it was, and then evntually you believe it was osama bin ladin who would be inside this unusual compund, leading to that? operation in the last week
And Gordon ?, hugely significant and symbolic , the death , in a practical sense? well, it's interesting because he wasn't directly commanding attacks anymore precisely because he didn't want to be caught, he was ataying radio silent, he was not communicating with his followers. But, still the symbolic, strategic value is enormous, because he was an inspiration to people, he was a figurehead to those fight against US, he was a symbol of what US has failed to do, in terms of capture him. So even if his operational role was limited, his starategic and symblic role was enormous

well today we're launching our air multiplier.it's a fan.but the most noticeable thing is that it has no fan blades.and it doesn't have the disadvantages of a fanblade.what the fan blade does is to chop the air up as it's sending air towards you, each blade sends a slice of air towards you. and what you feel is turbulent almost slapping from the airflow.now ,what this fan does is to take a small amount of air in here and shoot it out through this slot that's going? over? round? here which is a 1.3 mm wide slot. and the fan shape, which i will explain in a minuate, draws in air, and multiplies the airflow that's going in there by about 16 times.so amount of actual airflow you're getting is the same as you get with a fan with blades, except that it's smooth, it's like a smooth wind, nice gentle bleeze blowing at you rather than the rough buffeting that's rahter uncomfortable in front of a bladed fan.now i'll explain how it works.
i'll have a cut-through section to show that.the air comes in at the bottom here, and goes through this ,mixed-flow impeller, which is high pressure and high flow.and the air comes out of this little slot here, can you see that? um..and it goes over this aircraft-wing shade(shape?). and that, if i can explain how that works, air is rushing along, the air can get straight underneath that flat bottom it doesn't resist it at all,but if it goes over the top, it creates an area of negative pressure cause the air is having to accelerate over a curve.and that's what makes an aircraft wing lift, in this case, what it does is create negative pressure.the negative pressure sucks in air form here,so it's already multiplying itself.and it goes down on expandin cone.as it goes down the expanding cone it expands, and creates some negative pressure here,so adds more air comming through here.so we've already multiplied it several times already.and as it exits, as a cylinder of air, bleeds comming at you, you add more air, something called viscous sheering, so there are theree ways from this aircraft-shape here, wing-shape here, the expanding cone, and then the viscous sheering occurs here multiplies the air from one to sixteen times, so you get sixteen times the original air flow that was going through here.
the advantages are that you don't get the buffeting, that you get with a normal fan ,it's? .. nice bleeds, it's obviously very easy to clean unlike a conventional fan, and you can put your hand or head through it, it's entirely safe.it's also rather nice cause it's center of gravity is low,so when it comes to adjusting it,you just put it into whatever position you need and it stays there, it's very stable because the center of gravity is low.and as you can see, it's oscillating, and you can adjust the speed with a (ディマル swith?? デモスリッチ?? 3:00) here. and it's much better and much greener than air conditioning, cause obviously it (ダズゼム?3:05)using 40 watts, whereas airconditioning is fifth to half thousand watts.and you get no sick building syndrome especially if you open the window.so its a very nice way to keep you cool.
sir james dyson?, this is your new product is a bladeless fan why is this so different and why will it take of it takes off
well at the moment? the fan with blades buffets you so it's rather uncomfortable to sit in front of, very difficult to clean and it can cause harm if you put your finger in it, you can, you know your children get damaged. this is dead easy to clean, i can put my hand or head through it,and it's like a bleeze,it doesn't buffet you.
and you're primarily target this for foreign markets rather than..
no,no,british market, which i think is a very good market for it cause we.. when it gets hot, we don't have airconditioning, and suddenly need fans.
but it could take off as well as your vacuum cleaner?s
well i hope so,i hope so,? US market is very big,Japanese, Australian market..
now you spoke at the Tory party conference, and ther's been a lot of talk about high profile figures joining conservetives, are you actually join a conservetive government if they win the election.
well what i'm interested in doing is promoting technology and science in Britain both in education and in business, because we have a terrible balance of payment problem, we're not developing new technology in Britain or our competitor countries are overtaking us, we can reverse that, we are tremendously inventive in Britain, we've invented? rader, computer, jet engine, and so on, but why aren't we doing it now,we could be at the forefront of all these advances, and have the huge cultural interest in tachnology and financial benefits will follow.
but you want to promote this and help this, will you do that within government, i mean, if you are asked to sit in house of lords would you take a seat?
i'll do whatever i can to promote technology and design and engineering in britain. i think it's terribly important for us.
that sound like a "yes".
i'll do what i can in whatever way to promote it cause i love the subject i think it's terribly important for our culture and our children, our children love science and technology, but they (?5:13) pursue it as a career, and i think it's a huge shame.
has enough been done in over last ten years to promote? engineering?
some has been done but we need to take much more radical steps because we need to create the numbers we have 60,000 engineering vacancies in Britain at the moment, and we produce 20,000 engineering graduates, it's just not enough,(5:32 so? either? encourage インチュレント???) to take up science and technology, or we must keep the foreign student who study engineering and science here in Britein,we shouldn't expel them and (れにゅ、not ギエムヴィーザー? give them visa?) 5:45)as soon as theyfinish education, we should keep them.
now the trick I have discovered is that when you play with the woman's clitoris and when she has an orgasm, very often she'll ask you to stop touching her because it becomes too sensitive. So what i've noticed is rather than...
>>347 this is truly amazing. (here is a?) dog has been hit by a car trying to cross a road. ther he is, trying to cross the road, and he gets hit, now he is lying on the road in the middle of this busy highway, and a second dog spots him, try to get over to him. here is the first dog again being hit. he is lying there, on the road, busy time of the highway and her comes the second dog, who grabs him not (bites?) with his teeth but actually gets him with his paws around his neck and drags him in the middle of all this traffic, off the road to safe, ilttle by little, inch by inch. finally some worker(s?) spot the dogs, and come over and helped them. and by the way, the injured dog, lived.

I can't be bothered to translate EXCUSES , something about a general regretting of the infliction of inhumanity acts by the japanese soldiers to civilians?? It is the responsibility of your so called JAPANESE EMPORER to officially apologize to the deaths , not even mentioning how the fuck your emporer still exists when the nazi parties disappeared.
and don't fucking compare the deaths of civilians from Nanking massacre to the deaths from the atomic bombs. If I am a civilian from the past? I would rather die instantly in a gas chamber , an atomic , rather than suffering from barbaric torturing before death. Which would you prefer? Anyway the later you japs apologize is going to be less realized by the world because nowadays no one really gives a shit to your little pathetic country anymore

Hello. One of my big hobbies is playing the guiter. So several hours a day, I'm bangin gaway on this and when I first starated I was desparete to become like the super guiter heroes that we're seeing on TV or in concerts. And I found courses called how to master the guiter in seven days. 〜0:28聞こえない found one called how to play the guiter in 5 minutes. Being as impatient as anybody I got hold of that course and found 〜0:38聞こえない I was a bit disappointed, but being realistic, it was true I did learn to play guiter in 5 minuetes 'cause i was playing something. It certainly wasn't masterly though, when i go into guter learning forums i see people 0:55聞こえない what's the quickest way 0:58聞こえない what's the quickest way to master guiter. And quite often, the seasoned guiter players, will say, 1:08聞こえない And one of the books that's often recommended, it's a very good book, SOLO GUITER PLAYING, 1:15聞こえない quite a slim book, and in here, 1:19聞こえない with dedicated daily practice, you can be playing the guiter quite well in just two years. Well, my herat sunk when I read that.Particularly when I discovered threr's vol.2 which 1:32聞こえない another couple of years spent. And now it's been a couple of years now and I'm getting to 1:40聞こえない better. And 1:42聞こえない I look into the language learning community 1:47聞こえない and a watch polyglot videos. And I admire very much these well regarded high regarded polyglots such as 人名3人、2:00聞こえない.
And these are'nt people who just dabble in a few languages.Anybody can 2:10聞こえない but these people reach a high level of mastery. And to reach high level of mastery, is a whole different ball game. It requiers years of 2:23聞こえない Now, we all want to rush to mimic their achievements, but there isn't a way to rush it. Sure, we can mimic it, we can learn some quick phrases. We can 2:34聞こえない but we can study for a week and learn to have very basic conversation. The difference is, when we meet a native speaker, of whichever language we're studying, that native speaker would have to adjust their way of talking to come down to our level. We wouldn't be on equal terms you know. Now, if you want to 2:55聞こえない(go on?) equal terms, that means mastery. Absolute mastery. Now, what's these mastery about? Do these polyglots have just raw talent, oh, he's naturally good with languages, it's very easy to dismiss them being just naturally good at languages and we're not you know. Same as guiter playing, he's just really good at the guiter. Well it turns out, 3:18聞こえない anything that involves ability apart from something that's entirely based on physical power, world champion sprinters or world champion weight lifters, they have, it turns out, genetically different body structures. Differnt muscle fiver composition from most people. They are in a sense genetic freaks.
And it would be impossible for somebody without similar freakery to ever achieve the level of the physical power. But in everything else, chess playing, languages, playing guiter, even being a doctor, you'd imagine being a doctor is to do with IQ, but it turns out the best doctors, it's got nothing to do with IQ, it comes down to, a lot of hard work over a very long time untill they master something. Now don't just take my word for it... What they're saying is practice makes perfect. And it turns out, this isn't my idea, that's something called 10,000 hours rule, which has been very well reserached by many many people over several decades. I 4:29聞こえない couple of links to 4:34聞こえない that you can read online from the Harvard Business Review, and a popular book. Both of which talk about this concept in great detail. They expected that they would find out whta the natural talents were for these people who are at the top of their field ,in music in chess, in anything and they found they didn't have any exceptional natural born talent. They just worked hard from when they were tiny all the way up into their adult life, hours a day forever. Now, if you think about it, 10,000 hours is a lot. it's 3 hours a day of practice, and don'T 5:16聞こえない messing around, I mean serious study, for 10 years. Or, if you can put more hours 5:23聞こえない 10 years, how about 6 hours a day of energy-sucking effort for five years. If you don't that amount of time, if you can only spare hour a day, that's every single day for 30 years. If you want to learn a language, and if you can put an hour for 30 years into it, it's a good hard effort, I think you'll master it. But not many of us are going to do that and, also, people say 5:46聞こえない rubbish, my brother moved to Germany or wherever, and a year later, he could speak German.
Well, I bet he could. There were many people who couldn't, but 〜5:59聞こえない during that year he could. But I will be very surprised,if he was speaking on a parallel level with a native speaker, and more likely, he just spoke German quite well. And that's because of something called Pareto Principle. Now, Pareto was an economist. And this is a long time ago, but his principle has been applied to many areas. And it's known as the 80-20 Rule. The 80-20 rule says, you can get 80 percent of the reward from 20 percent of the effort in just about anything. So if it takes 10 years to master a language, you can get 80 percent of 6:41聞こえない in two years. Same with the guiter. If it takes five years to master the guiter or ten years to master the guiter, you can get there in a fifth of the time to a 80 percent level. And this explains why there are, for example, government courses that offer 2,000 hours or so of exposure to a foreign language to get into basic fluency. Diplomats, for example will be training in Russian or something for 2000 hours, and then sent overseas. Six hours a day for a year, and sent abroad, because 80 percent is enough to get them started. They aren't going for native level efficiency, yet, they 7:27聞こえない starting point. To get the native level efficiency will take them another 8 or 9 years or something like that.
Now, realistically, none of us or very few of us have the energy or enthusiasm to put in those years and years of study housr and hours a day. We want the quick results. We will settle for 80 percent or less. But don't kid ourselves. I don't kid myself that I'm going to reach 人名 level, that's some of these polygots, unless 8:09聞こえない. Because, most of us, to be honest, lust after the result. I do enjoy language learning, I really do, but you got absolutely love it to become, to absolutely master it. And this 8:26聞こえない quote from a very good jazzman, a pianist, who 8:29聞こえない secret of success. And this is what he said. 8:40〜8:45画面ボード読み上げ , and that is the secret 8:47〜8:53画面のボード読み上げ It's to absolutely love it so that studying isn't a chore, a task you want to get out the way, so you can reach that fluency 9:02聞こえない fizzles. But if you love the language, if you love the language learning process, those hours, those months, and those years, will fly by, and it feels like minutes. And that's the way to quick fluency, the way to get quick fluency is to fall in love with the whole process. 〜9:25聞こえない to change your job, to find the spare time to whatever it takes to be able to do your thing that you love hours a day for years and years and years, but 9:39 feel like minutes. Thanks 聞こえない
〜0:38 well, I learned to play The Star Spangled Banner 1:32 which requieres another couple of years of effortかな? 1:47 I belong to a forum、かな? 2:23 effort 3:18 that in... 4:29 'm gonna put かな? 4:34 a paper 5:16 I don't just mean 5:46 that's なような違うような 最後は普通にa lot かな・・

I was going through such a hard time and for me to get away from my family and from this whole all California, I realize how much I hate California. I realize how much living here has such negative impact on me. I realize how stressful makes me feel, I realize I don't like the people I have around here. I don't like living here, I don't like anyone here, really. I have so many bad memories and feelings attached to California and I just want to get out as soon as I can. I want to go back to Japan. I want to live there for few years, and it's my dream and it's my goal right now just <inaudible> I'm going to go to college and I'm going to major in Japanese and I'm going to study abroad in Japan either in my sophomore or junior year in college. Maybe as more than one time I want to in college, I don't know, but I have to go back to Japan, I have to live there, I just have to, I love it so much, I can't stress, and this is probably like the three-minute segment of Japan, but I fucking love Japan, Holy shit. Japan is literally my heart and soul. My eyes completely opened up and I got a whole different view of life one has Japan and just I realize that is where I have to be, I have to be in Japan, I have to live in Japan, that's where I belong.

I couldn't believe it was such an amazing experience, and thier whole culture and lifestyle were so different from America. I couldn't believe how happy I was, I couldn't believe how different the environment was there, I couldn't believe the architecture and their art and everything, the people there were thousand times nicer than any American I've ever met, oh my God, I liked the way things worked over there.
