I agree white lie is ok.

As he said, they generally (but maybe not always) are
geared towards not hurting someone's feelings. Say you go
to a relative's house who is usually a great cook, but this
particular meal is lousy. Is it immoral, if asked, to tell
them that the food was delicious? Or even if not asked?
I doubt it.

Of course it's immoral. If it were me and they asked how
their cooking was, I'd pull The Joy of Cooking off the shelf,
hurl it at their head, tell them to try reading for a change,
then storm out of the house, possibly slamming the door behind

Then, due to my philanthropic actions, their cooking would
improve, they'd make more friends - perhaps contribute to a
bake sale or two for charity, win a Betty Crocker contest,

モチベーション始めるのが健全！！文法がどうのとかめんどうくさいことをごちゃごちゃ
考えずにとにかく、自分の言いたいことをまず言うことから始めよう。
一行二行でもいい。なんか書いてみよう。英作文とは思わずに会話口調でもおｋ。なんでもおｋ。

突然ですが、皆さんは普段、英語をどのように学習されていますか？
英字新聞や市販のテキストを使って勉強している方もいらっしゃれば、英会話に通っている方もいらっしゃると思います。
では、質問ですが・・・、皆さんは自分の言いたいことを英語で表現できますか？
また、皆さんは身の回りのことについて英語で説明できますか？

そのように質問には・・・「う～ん、ちょっと出来ないかも・・・」と感じてしまう人は少なくないと思います。

さらに私が個人的に行ったアンケートでも90％以上の人が「今一番身につけたい英語能力」は
「スピーキング力」との回答でした。

ですが、大半の方は最低でも中学・高校で6年間英語を勉強し、さらに大学や独学で＋αの勉強をしているはすです。
では 、なぜ、英語がそれほど上手くないのでしょうか？
それは、ずはり、英語に対する「発想」が間違っているからなのです！

「簡単に」「初心者レベルで」会話をしてくれるとか、
それは微妙・・・っていうのに対して教えてくれるとか、
明らかに間違ってて通じないってものを訂正してくれるとか、
こういうとかっこいいとか、自分ならこう言うとか、
スラングだとこうなるとか、
こういう言い方の方が一般的って例を出してくれるとか、

なんかそういうのだったら全然おｋだと思う。

教わる側だって、
訂正してもらっても「何が何でもそれが絶対的に正しいんだろう」とか、
「どこでどんな場面でも恥ずかしくない美しい英語だろう」とか、
そんな風に思う人は居ないでしょ。

英語が出来る人は、何の苦もなく普通にスラスラ読めるようなものでも、
ここで言う初心者にとっては、パッと見ただけで読む気すら無くすようなレスがあったり・・・。

it's just a minor mistake and ghost train sounds more
natural than ghost bus. because there are more ghost trains
than ghost buses. BTW, that's an interesting story.

I live in a stuidio apartment ( so- called one room mansion in Japanese English).
The guy next door to me is Neet and his life style looks like cockroaches.
he is almost always asleep in the daytime and aroud dusk he wakes up.
His girlfriend, who is prety ugly often visits him about 8 p.m. and as soon as she enter his room, I feel the foor shake.
In the beginning, she desperately tries to lower her vioce only to find it's in vain.
Her voice is getting louder and louder and it always turns scream in the end.

中国人って言ったて１２億もいて、しかも民族的にはアメリカに劣らず多様なのに
それを十把一絡げで論じるのは確実に無理がある。
だから結局のところ中国人批判というのは中国の一党独裁に対する政治批判なんじゃないの？
情報をコントロールされた体制のもとでの民衆という構図は日本人も戦前、戦中に体験している。
そのようなシステムの中で情報に踊らされた自分たちの愚を中国人に重ね合わせて見るから
彼ら対して過剰に批判的なっている側面はあると思うが...
