I'd take some delicious Cheddar or Red Leceister over Stilton any day of the week. The only time I use Stilton is when making a blue cheese sauce when cooking.

Is it possible to reserve a seat for travel 3 days in advance? If three days isn't long enough, we would like to buy the USA Rail Pass in advance while in Japan - can we do this?
>>26 Thank you so much! 「USA Rail Passを受け取る前に席の予約をした場合、USA Rail Passを受け取った時に、 返金されるのでしょうか?」 = "If I reserve a seat before I get the USA Rail Pass, can you refund my money when I get the USA rail Pass?" Is this correct?
Und eines möchte ich an diesem, vielleicht nicht nur für uns Deutsche, denkwürdigen Tag nun aussprechen: Ich bin in meinem Leben sehr oft Prophet gewesen und wurde meistens ausgelacht.
I searched magibon on google. She is pretty cute angel face with disproportionate big tits. yukolin is nothing compared to her. I decide to harasse her too.
ugly japanese geeks is targeting white cuty. It's unforgivable?
you love japanese culture. but you wanna protect and monopoly magibon from ugly buck teethed japanese geeks.
honestly speaking, i found out gaijin otaku could easily identify with their favorite anime characters. as you know, manga, otaku characters's face and body are exaggerating and unproportionate, very far from japanese standard. on the other hand, western people have more chance to imitate. with a few exceptions like gackt(his profiles(stature, length of legs, etc) are completly lie though.LOL) ,japanese costume plays are mean.
japanese otaku try to escape from the reality and jump to fantasy. otakus like magibon take fantasy to reality life and have fun! what a difference!
kato natsuki's ayanami rei is horrible!!! she is beautiful.but don't match with ayanami rei. http://inowe-blog.up.seesaa.net/image/ReiAyanamiK.jpgi pity her. oh,as for face,i noticed japanese is more similar to ayanami,LOL. but i've never seen good custume player.
>4chan is full of racists and paedophiles pedophiles and racists don't come together to me. coz racists abhor pedophiles on surface. racists don't allow abnormal sexual things. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Alfred_Strom yes, some racists are actually pedhophile like him. they don't speak out in public though.
it's strange if their target is mailnly on japanese.
maybe they are originaly japanese loving geeks. i think their are twisted and just letting off the steam only in the internet just like otaku. I don't think real racist and skinheads go to such a otaku place.
>>48 emily and magibon are attractive. i think it drives their behaviour. they wanna go out with them, but they can't because in real life they are a bunch of nerds. their love of inferior japanese make them more angry. i suppose. attractive white woman who was sbsorbed in negro culture would have been hated by whites. i think close to the same thing.
>>48 Thank you very much for your detailed input. So the place is now morphed into something different than when it was started. Seems like 4ch is a place where abusers gather for the sake of abusing someone.
I doubt that is it. I've seen them go after wapanese males as well, one well known one named Fred Gallagher (he runs a webcomic) has been hated on by them for years, and some of them have even gone as far as harrasing him in real life.
Keep in mind when it comes to them they will take any excuse to attack someone. And sometimes they attack people at random with the myspace raids, they (well it was one of the other chans that started it however 4chan was involved as well) even got on the news for it.
Japanese culture looks more feminine and weak unlike black culture. and japanese population and influence(including political power) are weak in US. I suppose that is the one of the reasons they attack wapanese rather than wigger.
Speaking of Youtube, which I don't even have an account on, I very much like TheHill88. I think she's cute and witty, with great acting skills. Kylie, Nicole and wombats, I like too, but for right now, she's my favorite Australian. Someday in the near future, I'm definitely gonna marry her. And if that doesn't come out quite properly as expected, WHO KNOWS WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN TO HER THEN. No, just kidding. If I fail to marry her, then I'll marry Kylie Minogue. And if that doesn't happen, I'll marry a wombat. Nicole, your last.
Secondly, /b/ is made of a collective of Anonymi who are angry at everything because they are all failures. I am one of them. Anonymous posting > ability to post about anything > disturbed and angry people venting their frustrations.
>>42 I haven't known4-ch.net till now... Is that forum carrying out by hiroyuki who managing 2ch in japan? if it's right, does 4-ch have mainly foreign residents who speak Engish?
Australians site huh... Is that forum popular in foreigners ? I thought massive bbs system, for example 2ch, is not popular because almost English community was the FORUM itself that required ID and password.
>>64 >spouting unfunfunny masturbatory injokes......lol I'm actually surrounded by these types of people in real life (at work), boy, do they look STUPID!!!
Yeah. I happen to know a lot of 4channers... some of them are actually fairly intelligent people. I can't say that for most of them though. They aren't serious about all the things that are said on 4chan... they're just jokes.
I don't particularly like 4chan myself, but it's not as bad as everyone seems to be labeling it to be. Definitely not safe for children to visit, though.
>>76 And recorded/replayed the clip, just to rub it in! The whole fox news thing was just hilarious. The idiots made 4chan out to be some organized, sub-terrorist group when it's really just complete randomness. Rofl.
Fox Network has an obvious anti-liberal bias, generally supporting Bush's administration. And we know that Bush wants to keep control of the internet to his own administration, as shown in 2005 when control of some of the root servers were to be handed over to an international organisation, but then changed his mind. I think what Fox is doing here is, as >>84 says, trying to alarm the general public and get more support for this monopoly.
Personally though, one of the best parts of the video was when they were scrolling down the so-called 'invasion' board (I believe the i board on 4chan is oekaki though) and shows an image with "We're discussing penises. Do you want to join?".
I guess anonymous is good because a few particular people do not control the forum. when there are always regular in a certain forum, somebody from outside is hard to get in, but when most of us are anonymous, anybody can easily come and leave. well I like it when some foreigners such as igirisu-jin san scotland-jin san and ether and amerika-jin-san(kiss)(I'm a female ^^) are around and give us some advice on our english studies and such.
The Beijing Olympics is going to be great, I'm sure. But some things should't be forgotten. For example, Chinese people eat babies when they are not male. They are savage people, as savage, if not more, as Scotchmen.
>>91 A year away from the Beijing Olympics and already Britain has London 2012 Olympics posters and advertisements everywhere, with that terrible logo. I think it's a bad move by the promoters, because when it comes around, everybody will be sick of it by then.
Anyway, Beijing is much more interesting than London. London is full of filthy pigeons and buses.
>>88 You're right, it is easier to get into an anonymous board, since if nobody knows who the regulars are (though sometimes you can tell by the way they write...), they can't really stick together and so everyone can join in.
When one has finished building one's house, one suddenly realize that in the process one has learned something that one really neede to know in the worst-way before one began.
>>88 yeah. when one forum would welcome everybody even, each of their nick names really don't matter. but often they tend to set up their own comfortable world that only few people can enjoy, i.e. they have certain history of their relationship so they are comfortable staying with a few particular people and tend to ignore new people. and when someone leave in that group, it would get very quiet and may die. so it is better to welcome new people to a community for reenergization.
>>112 Ah, sorry. I was a little lost for words earlier, I think, and not thinking straight. You're absolutely correct, we usually use 'aisle seat'. Really should have thought of that having spent the last 5 years commuting by train.
I thought this was supposed to be fat camp. Why on earth are we doing this stupid exercising and stuff? And are you guys aware that the food served to us here is absolutely disgusting too? And where the hell is our third meals anyway? What? What do you mean lose weight? Are you stupid? Do you speak English, sir? This is fat camp. F-A-T, fat camp. For God's sake, we're supposed to get fat! Hey, give me back my Snickers bar!
Today's Hiroshima Nagasaki's Atomic bomb day. I see there are many campaign and we hear victims'voice domesitcally but I wonder if there are doing in out side Japan as well. e.g.Yoshinaga Sayuri's activity is great but she's doing only domestically. Why she doesn't go abroad and read victims poems in English.
>>101 @.@ Don't people in England like those double-decker buses? When we think of London, we associate it with those buses and black cabs among other things, since we don't have two-story buses or cabs with seats not facing the direction of travel! When it comes to taxis, we hear that London cab drivers need to pass a very difficult test so they even know every little ally in the town. But in Japan, sometimes those who cannot get other jobs become taxi drivers, and there is no test as such, so if you are an unlucky passenger, the driver may not even know the very famous hotels in Tokyo.
>>118 Ah, double decker buses! They're mainly used in the busier cities with a lot of commuters, such as London. My town has a population of 100,000, but only uses standard buses. A few days ago, though, an old-fashioned double decker bus passed by while I was walking... it had white ribbons and things on it. Guess some bus enthusiasts were getting married. The red double decker buses are a common sight in London though, along with black cabs.
You heard correctly also, this test is known by London taxi drivers as "The Knowledge". The test can take between 2 and 4 years, and apparently, about 80% of the applicants drop out or fail during this time. During part of the interview for the test, they are asked the fastest route between A and B. I have no idea what their wages are like, but most commuters tip generously. Personally, I give an extra 15% of the fare (assuming I'm there on time).
>>115 Some of us here know about that, but most do not. There's been no mention of it at all in the news or in documentaries here. I'm sure anyone who organised a peace event would be welcome, though. But there's been no publicity at all.
This is my opinion but in Europe, many professions that erquire practice, skill, experience etc are repsected by everybody. some are called maestro who manufacture exquisite products such as watch, taxi, bus drivers are also required high standard while in Japan anybody with driver's licence (not the regular one though) can be a driver so the profession as a driver would be the last job when he/she become jobless
>>119 I see, then installing a car-navigation system inside their cabs must be considered cheating in London, or maybe even humiliating, LOL~~ And yeah, you have the tipping custom for better motivation, which we've never had in Japan.
>>119 Question! Is there such thing called '白タク'(=illegal/unlicensed cabs) in London? If I remember correctly, in addition to the prestigeous black cabs, London has regular taxis, right? If so, and if there are illegal taxis, how can one tell the difference between the good regular taxis and illegal taxis? Plus, are the fares for black cabs higher than those for regular taxis?
There used to be Tama-chan, sea dog. and now there is Ara-chan in Arakawa river. there is one dolphin spotted in Arakawa river yesterday in Tokyo. unbelievable! Ara-chan is alone even dolphine like to live in group.
In New York, almost none of the taxi drivers speak English. They Come from all over the world and some of them are good, and others barely know how to drive! It's very diverse and random that way.
>>121 I have a friend who lives near Tokyo who is a part-time waitress, and her wages seem to be ridiculously low. In the UK, waiting staff usually get the minimum wage, but also get to keep the given tips, which can be very generous on a busy night. Is there any way for people in these sort of jobs in Japan to get anything extra?
>>122 Absolutely, though the police have really been busy in hunting them down and stopping them. There are a lot less in operation now than in 2005. However, I have no idea how to tell the difference. Taxis usually have some kind of special plate on the back which shows the company, serial number, etc. but I guess it would be simple to forge. If the driver allows you to negotiate a fare, it's likely the taxi is illegal. As for the black cabs and regular taxis, I have a feeling that only the black cabs are permitted to operate in Greater London. The fares have risen recently because of the 'Green Tax', which adds taxes for road usage in major cities, in order to cut down on pollution.
or in Singapore, you can just say "uo tsuri sentaa" (魚釣りセンター)(fishing centre) and most taxi drivers take you to the "world trade centre". if you speak in a good english pronouciation, ppl there won't understand you.
Talking about waitress. I dunno in UK but in U.S.A, I've heard that a profession like waitress is only for dumb women, but in Japan, there are a lot of uni graduate part time waitresses. If you see the profession like flight attendants, Japan has the highest standard. they are all well educated but just serving coffee or tea or me...lol
>>127 I don't think there is a way for part-time workers to earn extra money. This is one of the issues that we have in Japan, social disparity, while full-time workers get higher salaries, fringe benefits, etc., i.e. better protection, part-time workers are only guranteed minimum wages. This is said to be one reason why the LDP lost by such a large margin.
>>134 Ah, a minimum wage, at least that's something which can stop them being exploited. My friend is currently a university student, so there's not really much else she can do.
>>132-133 I was wondering a bit about the flight attendant thing. I've seen things such as flight attendant calendars, photos, and other merchandise, but only for JAL. And then that drama came along with Aya Ueta, 'Attention Please' and it seemed quite strange. Of course, it's mainly a fictional story, but you can't help but feel that a lot of the aspects do really exist...
>>135 yeah, if women work 10 times more than men and if given up having a child. There are many married professional women around the world while there are few in Japan...it explains well.
>>136 yeah, it's weird that flight attendant is the most ideal profession among Japanese young girls. because being this profession, they can get attention from guys and it is promised to get married to a rich man in the future.
there is a myth in japan that woman who can speak english is intelligent. stewardesses are trained to speak english. one of the thing that make our eyes blur is this.
we have to add that some flight attendants are irregular employees these days too.
i personally think that bus guide skills are beyond stewardess ones. bus guides have talk skill and communication skill. stewardess are just like routine mcdonald clerks and only pleasure to our eyes.
I have to admit stewardess are one of the top priorities. but as in this thread, many silent people see them cynically. we rarely hear in real life though.
english skill, it is cool commuting between international cities including yearing paris and newyork and like that, jumbo jets are still symbol of wealth and technology in japan. bueauty of them. those reasons make stewardess cool. i think.
if jumbo jets only went to south east asia and stewardess were not required to speak english, their status would fall significantly.
>>136 how do you think about ueto aya face? i want to know honest impression. we won't offended. unlike nakamura syunsuke,tv stars depend on their appearance. so we can value her face. ueto was nominee for national beauty girl contest and won special award. her acting skill is not good.
i think she is overrated and overly appears on tv drama for her face. she belongs to oscar production, which has many stars you probably know.
>>143 i think real intellectual women won't be flight attendants. their academic backgrounds are not exceedingly high, soso. for example, think about miss universe. they are beautiful but has to be a little bit inttelectual as well. they have to not to be arrogant as well. they take a step back to men. stewardess are expected to be like them. it's a little exaggerating example.
prestegious universitie's top students are mostly women. they'll become lawyer or beaurocrats or bankers ,doctor, and so on. they'll never become stewardess. we have dozens of woman congressmen here. their ex occupation are not stewardess.
what we want to emphasize is that flight attendant( regarded as just a server in western contries) is one of the yearning occupations in japan. there are many other intellecutual occupations and many women are working in these fields.
http://ex21.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/tvd/1174560660/ >>145 It might be a good japanese lesson for you. LOL Some jealous twisted minds tend to slur beautiful women on anonymous board. But as for ueto,I think there is another factor.
About Ueto Aya, I like her very much. Well if I would say she's beautiful or not...probably there are tons of more beautiful girls in Japan but she is very cheerful. She got a present and nice personality. We don't only see her face but her personality.
As for stewardess, of course not for girls who have graduated from Tokyo Uni or Waseda uni, dept of science and engineering... but soso or upper middle class (do you understand? chuu no jou) type of girls are yearning this occupation. I feel that's weird.
One more weird thing is an "elevator girls" in the elevator ih the department stores... is that occupation? is she really necessary? to press the button of the floor where you want to get off.....they might be uni graduate....HAHA
>>144 Her face if kind of pretty in an unconventional way, but I don't really find her that attractive. Her mouth just seems a bit too big. I'm not really so fond of her acting performances either, but she does have a few decent songs.
Hirosue Ryouko, however, is a different matter...
>>151 I guess it's a matter of self-esteem for some girls, rather than ambition. The west sees the Japanese university system as quite hard worked. Just woke up, so I'm having a bit of a hard time trying to explain this, sorry... maybe a bit later.
>>153 Good morning! So you are a fan of Hirosue? No offense but we see 'I'm a pampered/high-maintenance woman' clearly written on her face, but she probably appears differently to western people's eyes.....interesting!
>>154 Good morning to you too! I haven't really seen much of her outside of movies, to be honest, so don't really know much about her personality. First saw her in the movie 'Poppoya', which I really enjoyed, and seen her in movies and dramas since.
>>154 I totally agree with you. Hirosue is really annoying. She thinks she is somewhat better than others. It clearly shows on her face. That's why ...errr...that French director, Lub Besson didn't like her. (Talking about the movie "Wasabi") I've heard Luc Bensson first had a great impressino of her and gave an offer of the role on the movie, but it turned out she was the different girl from what he thought, but it was too late to let her withdraw the role, but he clearly showed his unsatisfactory feeling at the interview.
>>157 Yeah, Agree. Sometimes the great maestro filmaker like Luc Besson make a mistake. He is a human too...so we cannot blame him. His eyes were "fushiana" (I dunno how to say it in English, maybe diagnosed wrong?)
>>159 ahhh that's a good example. lol and George Clooney. Japanese girls don't like him...lol also Lucy Liu. For us, she's not pretty. but in her case, it's a matter of what kind of face we prefer. Western ppl maybe prefer very oriental face like hers. lol
.....and John Travolta...is he supposed be considered handsome or sexy? Or is he a good character actor? I don't know where I should find his charm, lol
Yeah, indeed. But in Japan not many ppl prefer Kanou Kyoko (kanou Sisters) lol I think she's recorgnized as sexyyyyy woman among foreigners but Japanese guys are scared of her. lol
>>168 Plz don't associate Kano Kyoko with Angelina Jolie... Angelina is beautiful and intelligent but Kano Kyoko is just a sample of cosmetic surgery, lol
>>169-170 Oh no, I didn't mean to start a war! Okay, I can agree that personalitywise they are completely different, but still, they look a little bit similar, I can't change that! Maybe Kano Kyouko had cosmetic surgery to try and look more like Angelina Jolie...
Nope. there was a guy who had been bullying/harassing me for years both mentally & physically. so i was struggling to find the way to escape. I could have been nice to him if he'd changed his attitude but never stopped but finally I guess he found something more fun. I am very happy that he is happy and decided not to hurt me again.
>>177 oh wow~ DV. it is done in the closed door, so nobody usually notice there would be a violence. but that's good there will be no more violence. Take care~
Angelina Jolie? she is a corrupt and mentally ill woman. her inner side is chaotic. what she is doing right now is just a catch. they got enough money, then they want reputation. on another note, i think she is not so beautiful. i think she is american oriented actress. like her thick lips and her racially ambigous looking.
her boobs are real. so that's the merit over kano kyoko for sure.
but if i see michale jackon's face,i would rather think michael is stronger. i want to retrace my opinion. michael is the best. because sonoko's face is not much deformed. michael's one has been deformed complete differntly from original one. kanryu joyuu and kanryu haiyu have more chace to beat michael.
>>60 LOL!!! You're hilarious! Marrying a wombat! And poor old Nicole Kidman! She can't be that bad! >>114 LOL AGAIN!!! Yeah, fat-camp RULES! Only 2 meals a day? What are you, a Sumo wrestler or something?! And your bloody Snickers bar was taken away! Those fascist basters! Go and eat 'em!
This is called, in Japanese, 自作自演/じさくじえん. Responding enthusiastically to your own post.
>>188 Two meals a day? That will make you lose weight slower, because the body will be kicked into starvation mode. The best way to lose weight is to have six very small meals a day: it will keep your metabolism running all the time. Exercise is vital, too.
>>189 Thanks, you're right. I don't think there's any fat-camp in the world, that feeds their campers only two meals. But the guy attending this fat-camp in >>114, stupidly enrolled himself for fat-camp beacause he thought he could actually get fat. That's why he's so pissed off by the treatment he's getting there.
The best way to lose weight is to have six very small meals a day: it will keep your metabolism running all the time.
Is this gracie diet? Do you know gracie jiujitsu family in brazil? This is just what Rickson Gracie is doing. It's strange that Ridkson keeps in good shape, but his face is getting older...
>>192 I, too, have a dream. One day all the cats of the world will join together to form the perfect society. There will be no class barriers. Mongrel stray cats will be just as important as purebred Siamese. Everycat will help one another to survive. Civilisation will truly be advanced.
ahhh not again....Billy came back to Japan for the fat camp campaign...for this time.
Oh now I understand his plan! He once make us fat like pig and then put us into the original boot camp so that our motivation would be more clear (change overweight body into slim body, like -10 kg) than to become soso fat into slim body -3 kg. He uses us too much...we need to hide in the concentration camp, not in the Billy's boot camp! and become a glorious survivor a year later! and write a best selling nobel - "A diary of concentration camp survivor"!! I'm sure it sells well more than Harry Potter! LOL
I have a dream that one day every staray shall be exalted, every snobbish cat shall be made low, the rough cats will be made plain, and the gay cat will be made straight, and the glory of the stray Lord shall be revealed, and all stray flesh shall see it together.
I don't think so. I am the stray cat and saying that I am not gonna do such a crap.
that's wasting time and energy. a revolutionary cat is a high motivate cat that cares about cation and catizen. meanwhile, I am a laziest cat that only cares about my own food. and as I visited PRC few times recently, unfortunately I received no food and I found nothing fun there and nothing has changed at all, and just the situation in this hopeless world including the nation of PRC
made me even more wanting to stay as a staray cat wandering around aimlessly. But I am always a fun-loving cat that searches for something to make me laugh so when there is a laugh I might stop there. but I'm afraid not in PRC in this moment. only close connected cats and chairman are having delicious meal together.(you must be Kim Mew Ill! ) Oh...and forgive my misspelling. I am uneducated cat that's why I've been staying as a stray. I might go to caniversity one day after I've succeeded in burgle a house and get a million yen.
I'm so happy because no more violence... my happy standard is very low...before my life was -100 and now it is like -40...lol (young girls like me usually have very happy lives such as +100 +200 or some with defects may have +20 or 0. I hope to pull my life up to +1 in a couple months. This is my objective for now...(:_:) I look miserable but it is good to start fresh from the minus point...lol even water tastes good these days!!! (T_T)/ Tks
>>212 Optimistic people are more likely to get happier quicker. It's good that you got out of the main source of your unhappiness, so it should be all upwards (+) from here. Good luck!
>>212 I understand what you mean. When one has incurable disease, there is nothing to worry, I mean he/s will die one day soon but paradoxically, the every single minutes means very precious, so she'd able to feel how happy it is to feel the air. how tasty the water would be...
My bro has that kind of disease. He seems happy whatever he experiences. It really makes me happy to see his smile. when your life is at the bottom, you will have only chance to go upward...so lucky you!!!
>>216 ttsuka...I didn't recognize it myself as a victim but when I consult to a counsellor about the relationship with my ex-bf, she said it's a typical DV case...wahaha...how silly I didn't notice that. But with a strong mind, I will never be a victim of his anymore. NO MORE VIOLENCE!!! he still make psychological violence via telephone mail whatever but I can't hear/see it anymore. I make a declaration!!!
howard jones was really a talented musician between the early 80's and the mid 80's and produced a few good songs. I wonder why talented man like howard becomes less productive so suddenly. succces and money made them lazy?
I don't particulally like U2. i don't like their blatant attitude to win nobel prize. but it's great to keep on producing megahits.
Do you know peace activist, inoue hisashi was wife beater? ironic. he batter his ex-wife face unrecognizeble. he criticizes japanese feudalism. why not kill himself first?
You know, after DV punches and kicks his girl, the guy often become つきものが落ちたみたいに very calm and very good boy? and apologizes her. after his stress is gone (after he punches and kicks)he become a very kind person, and the victim, the girl is also cries very hard and her emotion bursts out. so after that her stress is also gone and they usually feel unite which never experienced or something. it is like a taking a hot bath after a hard running. so to beat and beaten are addictive.
>>232 Inoue Hisashi is a writer, right? his ex-wife was so creative...or someone who likes to speak out, an interesting woman. He thought she was having an affair and always beated her. but she was like a "detonator", someone who gives him an inspiration. writer's wife supposed to be like that... but gosh...DV
>>244 are you japanese? your imagination is close to the real incident. japanse novelists tended to think themself as something special and behave like that. but we don't think inoue's case was common thing. Inoue's soft, peace image even make the incident look highlighted.
i thought the model of fujio short story was inoue... the model was novelist and behaved very violently to his wife. his wife has been waiting for a chance to kill him accidentally.
fujio ... i mean fujiko fujio. how abot novelist in the western contries? are they called sensei, sir? do they create their own social place and behave as much as they like?
If steven spielberg(not novelist though) was a wife beater, you would be surprised. inoue case may be similar to this.
DV's victims are usually "generous" people. they always forgive the bad guy. that's why she becomes a victim. so the clue is "never listen to him", "never read his emails", I skip to read when he send me e-mails.
yaoi is for ugly girls. Unlike men, who are free to enjoy as much porn as they like regardless of thier position, women have no excuse. There will always be a ready supply of guys who'll fuck them, so the ones that use substitutes are obviously medusa-like in appearance. Elementary really.
ordinary young people had the sligtht knowledage of the word yaoi in the 80's and 90's.
rather, internet age propelled word yaoi. i didn't konw the wrod 腐女子 befor i used 2chan. I still didn't know the exact meanig until i searched yaoi on googld munite ago. I thought 腐女子 is just a derogatory substitute word for 婦女子
When i first went to 4chan i was shocked to learn in japan they drew porn of their cartoons, and even more shocked by the many more fetishes that were posted after.
After seeing this I now believe that humans can masturbate to pretty much anything.
>>280 Probably, depending on your P.O.V. I have zero check on voice actors. I'd either have to ask my boyfriend or my sisters to explain the insider jokes to me. Though my sisters are slightly more into drama series than anime, so I guess my boyfriend would be the one to go to.
>>278 I know (sort of) this US soldier who served in Iraq. He absolutely loves Hirano Aya too, especially her songs. It was surprising to see a well-built guy with scars across his face from combat and training with a room full of anime figurines (literally hundreds of them!).
Personally, though, I'm not really into anime. Movies and books are more my thing, I guess.
>>288 Who needs that when you hear about war, or European cannibals who eat their lovers. Hentai and goatse isn't as sick as some of the things you hear on the news. Especially when pedophiles, murderers and rapists are involved. Also, there have been studies made on human behavior, such as the programmed fetish one, which have hit the news/science magazines.
>>290 I was just talking about stuff you beat off to not sick things in general. Also there are tons of kids who don't watch the news or read science monthly or whatever. You may have been a "hardened internet warrior" since you were 14 but for the most part there is no good reason for anyone to know about these kind of things.
>>289 is she popular? ummm...I find she's cute too. I remember one drama called "Fighting Girl" that was a cute drama. Yun Sona (Korean acress), Fukada Kyoko and Hirano Aya. three of those cute girls!!!
I've been thinking about why I've never had a girlfriend. Maybe I take my hobbies too seriously, or maybe I take life in general too seriously. I have a tendency to get too absorbed in stuff that I like.
Also, I don't really like talking to people or getting near them.
>>292 I wasn't a "hardened internet warrior". The first time I used the internet was maybe in the 6th grade. However, my family subscribed to a scientific magazine, among others, and I frequently read the newspapers, as well as watching the news on tv. It is logical to assume that if there are people who do that sick things they get pleasure out of (and get on the news for, there are also people who do less bad things than them. This is why I didn't even bat an eye the first time I saw some "hentai" porn. Seemed fairly logical. Goatse's rumour preceded the actual image, in my case. I kept hearing about it, so when I finally saw it I got confused, as I had expected something worse than that.
>>326 I'm sort of her. Sort of as in that I'm surprised anyone remembers me. I haven't posted frequently here for almost... half a year, I think. Should I go back to using a handle? I still want to know if there are any offsite archives :-/
>>339 k-tan!!! Long time no hear!! Yes, plz use the handle name again. A lot of us have missed you! Unfortunately, school girl is no longer with us (she seems to have passed the uni. entrance exam.) but there are tons of fun folks around.
Hello everyone. I like the atmosphere of this thread, everybody is nice and sympathetic. I have a lot of pleasure reading this thread and posting to say hello right now.
>>341 Oh. I didn't hear from her on yahoo... Hmm.. I haven't logged in there for ages, I probably should. And it's good that there are tons of fun people around. I sort of miss MAS though. And Urban Predator. And bernardo :-/ And Hiro, and yikes I haven't emailed him for way too long... I should do that today.
The sound differences in the music podcast I'm listening to is quite disturbing. The music is really really loud, and the host speaks quietly. I keep have to throw myself at my computer every time a song comes on to lower the volume. -_-;;
>>353 As Illustrious leader of the PRC, I wonder if we could make a trade agreement. We are in need of meatballs for a new Nyanko-meshi recipe, and have heard that Sweden makes the very best. In return, what can our glorious nation of cats offer you?
>>354 Heh, PRC? I usually am reluctant to call anything based on taste "best", but Swedish meatballs are pretty good. I can translate the recipe from my 9th grade home/economy class book, if you wish? The recipe at the tasteline site probably is better, though.
>>360-361 Bernardo! Hi! I read that one too, yeah. Haven't gone through all of the archives. My boyfriend has, though. How did your trip go? Assuming you've already been on it...
>>370 is it true? jews are all roundhead ムケチン. they are forced to be circumcised as soon as they are born. do you know white people are not inborn muketin? many porn actors are covered. ron jeremy(jewish porn actor)is ムケチン?
>>364 I like diamonds because fine diamond fragments are great for making good drills/sharpeners. I like good tools :-3 Jews didn't make them valuable, De Beers did by limiting the supply. Diamonds wouldn't be as expensive as they are, if De Beers wouldn't have that monopoly.
>>365 Humans don't sparkle like diamonds. Not unless they're encrusted with diamonds or similar.
>>366 Sorta, going with my sister to some concert in a few minutes, though.
>>373 Girl from the country of Volvo makes a differece.
I want a volvo. I don't care how cars look. I just want a safer car. In japan volvo is rahter expensive. How in Sweden? Is Volvo just one of domestic, popular car in Sweden?
>>375 De Beers is not jews (as in the complete, or even just a significant chunk of that group), nor are jews De Beers. De Beers may be owned by Jewish people, but that says just as little about Jews as the little Ōmu Shinrikyō's Subway Sarin Incident says about the Japanese people.
>>354 There is one exquiste meatball chef in my city but I don't think she would cook in PRC because all the good foods go to Kim Mew Ill and his lover while babies are starving and dying. that's what I've heard from the news.
>>388 The PRC is not the DPRK. It is Kim Mew-Il who rules over the corrupt state of the DPRK, letting his citizens starve in the street. I heard that he recently ordered seven giant meatballs which were so big, they could feed the entire population. But apparently he ate them for his birthday celebrations instead. He is a sick cat.
The PRC protects all its cats, however. Everycat is cared for and fed as if they were my own kittens.
>>394 Just over 1.3 billion actually! The quality of life is so good here that we have a problem with overpopulation. We had to enforce a law so that each family was allowed only one litter of kittens.
When it's cloudy, you are supposed to eat sausages. Today is cloudy, so I'll eat some sausages for lunch. I like those with orangish-colored skin, yum.
sorry I was a bit emotional. Anyway...there is a internet crime doing toward me. I have to report this crime to a certain place. if you just stop this activities, I won't. or you just write some peacefull funny posts, it's welcome but if you'd continue this threatning, I will seriously report to police.
Sorry all the innocent people who like to come and read posts for your communication with English speaking people. I had to deal with one hacker whom I've know for years and he also came here often annoyed me and this morning, it exceeded my limit since he annoys me by his computer hacking over and over. But I guess he won't do anything bad to unknown peple here. I've already consult my problem to a certain place. Please continue your fun talks. Sorry...it seems like I was a thread stopper.....
Excuse me... Let me ask you(are from English-speaking country), please. 1. I did the role. 2. I played the role. Are both correct? I'm sorry that I've suddenly come here.
God bless America, land that I love stand beside her, and guide her through the night with a light from above from the mountains, through the prairies, to the oceans white with form God bless America my home sweeeeeeeeeeet hooooooooooooooome
Hello! K-tan! Long time no see you! I'm so glad you came back! I loved Sweden soooo much! people were so natural and kind and....really calm and sophisticated! I found the similarity with Japanese. It was the most beautiful view I've ever seen in my life! I coundn't take a beautiful night view there because my camera was not good so I bought lots of post cards!
you were lying me all these years that she's your little sis not your lover. if you have said the truth, I could have been beside you all the time. but you fooled me. that was your mistake. you could have claimed the truth and I could have been your best friend.
just stick to the boring one rest of your life and never try 3 sum anymore. if you separate from her I may come back to you. so long,
I`m one of the studying TOEFL test for study abroad. For this,I have to score at least 80 on TOEFL iBT. Now,I'm studying hard almost everyday. But,I don't know where on the earth to up writhing score. I'm not entering any TOEFL school,so no one mark my answer sheet. The TOEEFL TEST to me is very hard exam. I have started to prepare for it since may this year. Neither you have good input skill nor can improve output skills such as writing and speeking. So, from May to July, I spend my time in which tried to increase vocabulary, to listen text. But those was not at all complete to prepare exam. My goal is get my ideal score by end of next month. This is too hard for me. So I'm at lost these days. If anyone under challenging TOEFL like me. Let's share with some advise or opinion about it!
that couple is so conditional. Both are children of rich family. She's been with him since his father is a professor of her field of study at a top university in the US. She's taken his father's credibility to become successful in that field. and, she's controled him to be her expected guy. He just obeys her. so conditional.
>>459 I've never heard or seen it used in an actual sentence before. From what I understand, though, it is to have an opinion on something based on how it acts. If you like someone based on how they act, and dislike things about them when they act differently, it is conditional. In this case, everyone is conditional in some way.
Hi everybody! I'm back from my vacation at Cape Cod. I brought crab cakes, cod cakes and clam cakes for Chairman Meow and of course the stray cat. And salt water taffy for everybody else. Help yourselves to some!
>>463 Salt water taffy sounds really tempting! Is that the specialty of Cape Cod? In Japan, 'sweets + salt' is in fashion right now, such as taffy with crystalized salt, chocolate with crystalized salt, cookies with crystalized salt, etc.etc. Salt tastes good in the extreme heat we are experiencing now.....
>>466 Yes, it is the specialty of the Eastern coastal US, including Cape Cod. It comes in all the flavors of regular taffy (chocolate, fruit flavors, mint etc.) except it is a little salty. The story is that there was a big storm in the 1800s where the waves came into a candy store in New Jersey and made the candy salty. So the owner sold the taffy as "salt water taffy" and it was a big hit. Enjoy!
>>483 "Cape Cod" sounds like a very desirable holiday location. Yes, indeed.
On behalf of the PRC, I accept your gifts of crab, cod and clam cakes. If there is one food which cats enjoy (other than Nyanko-meshi, of course), it is cake. These will make better eating than the weak citizens of the DPRK. We give you our most gracious and appreciative thanks.
>>482 The DPRK is the Delicious Perch Roe Kitchen. All citizens of the DPRK are perch fish. However, Chairman Kim Mew-Il starves all his citizens, so they do not taste very good to us cats.
>>483,>>485 i don't know exactly what is comiket, but I guess it's a kind of event for unusual people called 'otaku'. i'm so sorry for you guys, but they basically look so creepy. really shamed as one of Japanese.
The "bunshun"wrote this summer is a cool summer . It's more cooler than Japan Meteorological Agency is expected to . Japan Meteorological Agency expected extreme heat summer .
Today, I saw a large number of children who are Caucasian and Chicano. Some of them had stared me with their innocent eyes. They were soooo cute like an angel. I wanted to embrace and kiss them!
Oh, I know exactly how you felt. When I lived in California, some of the neighbor were Mexican or Caucasian families. I played a lot with their children and learned a little bit childish English from them. They were incredibly cute. It's much different from Asian children.
>>500 "Ain't" is used just about entirely in the USA. It is used as a form of "am not", "is not", "has not" or "have not". However, the only proper use out of all those is "am not". In the UK, in some dialects, "an't" is used and has been used for centuries.
I didn't know it . I thought that it had been refused by you. (この文はこれではだめ? I thought to be refused by you. または I thought to have been refused by you. )
When I went trip to Melborne and sydney just myself, I stayed with 4 british people in same room in backpacke. Their english is easy to listen for me. Ozzie`s english is from British`S right?
>>522 I have one parent who is British (English), and have lived in the UK most of my life, yes. I was born in the capital city of Canada (my father was Canadian), though, but only lived there for nine months (none of which I remember).
Between Canada and the UK, I have lived in countries such as Singapore, Ethiopia and Germany.
>>530 Trying to, in between a job and my education :<
It's fun though. Languages without Roman based writing systems are always more fun. Still trying to learn more Kanji, only know a few hundred basic ones.
イギリス人さん、 What kind of accent do you have? Do you speak in a BethU, Hugh Grant, Tony Blair way? Or in a Lloyd George, Sean Connery, Ian Paisley way? I just hope you don't speak like Wayne Looney(Japanese joke), though.
>>533 Haha, not many people even in the UK know who Lloyd-George even was. I'm glad that some people here do!
My accent, though, is hard to describe, because it's kind of a mongrel accent. Think a bit along the lines of Hugh Grant's accent but mixed with a bit of Ian Paisley (my "r" sound is quite hard, picked up from my father's accent).
I'm not really a fan of Wayne Rooney, but could you please explain the joke?
>>531 Hardly! But it's nice that this thread has become a little faster than recently.
>>535 the joke: a lot of us Japanese have difficulty in pronouncing our "l"s and "r"s properly. So when we say Rooney, it would often actually sound Looney. Which would be a more appropriate name for the new-wonderboy, regarding his behaviour on and off the pitch. Brilliant player, though. Maybe it wasn't actually a Japanese language pun, I'm sorry for that.
>>537 Ah! I see now. I didn't want to pick up on that in case it wasn't intentional and offended anyone, haha. I have a friend who has trouble prounouncing them differently and she gets very embarrassed if anyone mentions it.
We know that a lot of African and South Asian descendents now live in the UK, but I can't imagine them speaking in Scottish or Irish accents. That would be pretty funny, actually.
hey, jews!!! we no more tolerate you!!! it's time to fight back!!!
how would you compensate for subprime crash??? stock price plummeted because of you!!!!!!!!!!!!! you drove me to bankrupsy. now this time i'm gonna drive you to bankrupsy. patritos, be united agains jews!!!
>>540 Well, what does bankrupsy mean? I totally can't understand it, JAP. Before you criticize Jews, you should improve your terribly poor English skills, ha ha
>I can't really get much whiter. Is it a self-praise? a sarcasm to japanese? but I really respect you wholehertedly. We are slaves to you. Long live the Queen! Sieg heil!!!
>>541 If you are smart enough, you can infer "bankruptcy"
Are you a kike??? I will let you know jap is a racial slur word. It's a pollitically incorrect word. we have to be more sensitive. If you are jewish, why not speak hebrew? LOL
>>549 We deployed prostitutes to protect japanese women from raping. We are not as childish and intrusive as US. So we won't complain about the past things, let alone meddle in others' affairs, which are obscure and needed to be studied more.
>>539 Was thinking about what you were saying, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone of African or South Asian descent with a Scottish or Irish accent. I'm sure they exist, but I guess the media doesn't really give them wide exposure. We see plenty with very typical English accents, however.
>>542 It was neither self-praise nor any kind of racial attack. It was just an explanation of my ethnicity, nothing more and nothing less.
Also, if you don't mind, I won't respond to your political and sexual views expressed later on in the post.
>>562 There is the stereotype of "chavs" in the UK, if that's what you're talking about. Other than that, 'trash' people regardless of skin color exist in all countries.
>>566 There's a plethora of names for so-called worthless/lowly citizens, I doubt "white trash" are the only ones called that, other names are just more common for the others, I assume.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Alfred_Strom He is my hero. He stalked a 10-year old girl, supposing she was 18-year old. She is 18 year old in his imagination. so he is not a criminal.
On top of that, I love every beautiful girl regardless of ethnicities, race, nations. Not like kevin who loves only white girls. he was a hater. I am a cosmopolitan, egalitarian. I am John Lennon of our time. love and peace, forever.
imagine all the people loving regardless of age. you may say i'm a dreamer. but i'm not the only one. i hope someday you'll join us. and the world will be as one.
So, a friend of mine who has a fascination with Russia just told me some rather disturbing things, and now I'm feeling sort of worried. I don't want to live in a world with WW3.
According to him, Russia kicked out all foreign media today (CET). Which is the day after they started flying bombers across the atlantic ocean. That in combination with their new extremely quickly built missile system is quite disturbing. As if something is going on.
I hope he's just being paranoid and somewhat exaggerating =(
We still have media in Russia, but they have stopped broadcasting BBC programmes on Russian FM radio as of today.
The long-range bomber flights is something they have resumed after 15 years, like they did during the time of the Cold War. Missile systems, however, I don't really know about. Even we're updating our missile systems, getting more nuclear submarines and some much larger warships, but don't think we're in danger of attacking anyone.
I'm okay. I was a little stressed out last quarter since I had a little more work to do, and I'm always thinking about math when I'm in the department. Emily says I scowl when I'm doing problems.
>>589 I see. :-/ It was just unsettling to see the guy who likes Russia and actually used to like the thought of a nuclear war (he played Fallout a million times too many) get worried.
>>590 That post sort of sounds like something from an old foreign English textbook. Hi, though.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article2266740.ece >>588-599 Do you know this news? We have to wait untill this crime is verified. But it's true that hate against immigrants and nonrussian things are becoming prominent and more tolerated in Russia than any other western contries. Russia is one of the white sates. But I don't think Russia belongs to the Europe. I think they are closer to china and mongol in a cultural sense.
>the guy who likes Russia and actually >used to like the thought of a nuclear war Is he a millitary geek or fascist(national socialist) or communist or whatever extremist? It's unexpected that k-tan has such a friend because I supposed k-tan was politically liberal. too liberal near to communists? LOL
It's stange too that many russinan far-rights love Adolf Hitler. Because Hitler hated Russian and called them half-human. Hitler tried to expel russians to siberia. Their ignorance makes me happy.
>>592 That's so very disturbing o_O;; No, I didn't know of that. >The video has since been removed from the internet. Impossible. It easily could be removed from the site it was uploaded to, and other large upload sites, but if it's been uploaded to the internet people have saved it down, which means it can resurface anywhere on the internet at the blink of an eye, at any place. Probably has already, repeatedly -_-;;
>>593 Not really that strange, any country contains all sorts of people. Also, his dad was into communism (because of my friend's father's father) and his mother's an ex-hippie who turned super-religious after one point. He's had a disturbing childhood to say the least. I sort of see him as a little brother, though. He's dear to me, in spite of him having a few odd features.
>>594 He's sort of a military geek. Not really, though. He's not a fascist, he's not a communist, but he likes some of the anarchistic ideals. I wouldn't know where I'd place myself in a political spectrum. I think extremism is foolish, though. But trying to sit in the center of everything isn't really optimal either. Like I said, I don't quite know. I do however like hearing different people speak about their ideals, what they think they would bring and why they think it's the best solution. That hardly means I agree, I just find it valuable to see what people consider important, what they want, what they disagree with and why. No population will ever be homogenous, no matter how much some wish it could be so. Nor do I think this would be a good thing, innovation would die. Too many extreme diversities is hardly good either. I want to understand the world better, in the hopes of somehow being able to see how to help making it work as well as possible. I'm sort of a silly dreamer, I wish there would be some way of making everyone happy, but there isn't. So I wish I knew, that I understood, how to at least make life better for enough people. Pointless suffering is one of the things I find highly disturbing.
Black american soldiers, mainly from marines, behave as much as they can. They are more favorite with women than in the US. Japanse think they are Michael Jordan or 2PAC or Carl Lewis or whatever. So they get carried away in japan. It is rather because of American brand than black people's own allure. African Blacks are regared as less attractive in japan. African blacks try to imitate American blacks in Japan, wearing baggy pants, baseball cap sideways,,,,LOL
Why do they act like black rappers? Once rock'n roll and punk are the symbols of rebel, now gangstarapmusic is the symbol of rebel. It's sad. It's good that gangsta rap music sales are shirinking in the us. almost half the privious year's sales. One rap-label got bankrupt.
They don't have any message, just trying to invoke riots and hatred and sexual pleasure. Shallow music. Black music decades ago had melody and message.
chav scum? Do they deliberately use the word scum? cos they think scum is bad and and cool? This site doesn't appear to harm the image of chav. People in the pictures look voluntary.
>>610 Yeah, use of the word "scum" is intentional, but not really seen as a 'cool' thing. Most of the pictures are voluntary (apart from the ones where they are running away from police), and probably found on websites such as Myspace or Facebook. It doesn't blatently insult them, but it certainly makes fun of them. They are still mostly associated with delinquency and ASBOs (Anti-Social Behaviour Orders). ttp://www.fat-pie.com/chavs.htm
(apart from the ones where they are running away from police) I can't say a word...
In the UK,short-cropped hair seems to be more popular among youngsters. Beckham chaged his hairstyle to buzzhair. I don't know it has something to do with this trend.
British people on the whole look rural and homely... far from typical image of british gentlemen in japan. I wonder why industrial revolution rose up from this tiny island.. and conquered the world. Just curious and wonderous. no ill intention..
>>612 In general, shorter hair is more fashionable these days (mine's not really so short) in the UK. You're right though, Beckham has inspired quite a few fashion trends over here in the past.
As for the Industrial Revolution, I guess we just happened to be well organised at the time, with the right facilities for such developments. Remember, though, the British Empire was much bigger at the time and there were many more people. Having such a distribution of people might have allowed a wider variety of ideas. Things are very different these days, though.
>The buzz cut has been popular in hip hop culture since the 1990s. In hip hop circles, the head is often covered by a bandana, do-rag or baseball cap.
waha. By the way, japanese school athletes, especially baseball players, usually have their hair cropped short. so it is not necessarilly associated with cool young culture.
I got surprised to see athletes of Czech under 20? football natinal team were all cropped head... It did not look like something of fashion but the purpose of displine and order.
other than discipline, Japanse climate has something to with this. In summer, it is very hot and humid. Baseball player have to play under the sun.
I think that I will write my mixi diary , "Hamster is a philosophical pet. " Because , Hamsters can't be raised how many . They prey on each other . It is habits of them , And it is reluctant .But , I am thought something . 「ドーキンス」「利己的な遺伝子」etc...
>>619 Is "Crack" a name of drugs? Is it kinda warning that some people in this thread use drugs? Are you inflaming the thread by pointing out there are only responses by junkies?
I'm just an english-learinig japanese. it's better to ask person who is of native skill in both english and japanese Personally, How about "I got it"? I think "I got it" simply means 分かった!
>>635 Wrong? The only choice left of me is shizuoka... But I don't think shizuoka has kansai accent.. In my opinion wakayama is the part of kansai.
Are you from hokuriku? some of hokuriku may belong to 中部. I have an experience of being surprised when visiting kanazawa. they spoke nearly close to the accent of kansai as long as i remember.
I think nagoya is nagoya...not the part of kansai cultural area.
It is dissapointing to see nagoyan people abandoning their distinctive accent. ダミャーー ナモ! Young nagoya people speak close to tokyoben. I am not a fan of kansaijinn. But there is a thing nagoyan must learn from kansai. kansaijinn are not ashamed of their accent. On the other hand, nagoyan are ashamed of their accent... You have toyota. still you can't be proud of nagoya and speak loud.
>>650 'us' is a very important word. It's a pronoun used as a object of a verb, or after 'be'. It means me and another person or other people; me and you. Used in sentences like : "Come with us" or "Will you write to us ?".
>>660 Before viewing that, one should both have seen the wikipedia link in >>658 or >>659 as well as seen heard Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody song. Youtube should have their music video.
>>658 Oh,my Goooood!!! Do you know zero wing anectote? It blow my mind off!! LOL This story has been popular among only a few game mania in japan...
I may be wrong. I just happned to see the topic in game thread of 2ch. "all yuur base are belong to us" may be more popular than I have thought. Of course it was well known in small circle before 1998. Is "all your base are belong to us" popular among european people?
Btw I did several dozen loops, using stop botton. I wanted to see the real ending. But Mega Drive freezed before i can see it. As long as I confirmed, The stories rotated again and again. But My memory is obscure..
Lines of "cats" gets less serious and meaningless. Cats said words like "pee-pee" "doody". "Cats" also expressed the arraingement of pointless and scattered words like だばばびがががあ. Zerowing of megadrive seemed to make mock of people who continue playing monomaniacly the hardest game to see the real ending.
Difficulty of the game gets harder and harder. And after 3 to 4loops, it gets back to the first loop again. Its difficulity was beyond human ability. I used stop button..
Arcade version is well known for its difficulity too. Some God gamers archived 10000000 though. As for stage accomplishment, 4-2 is recored.
To be sure,I used stop button as well as slow mode.
For japanese honour I want to note that the flaw of "all your base are belong to us" is easy to find for average junior high students. so "all your base are belong to us" is laughable for japanese too. Toaplan programmers were brilliant but their english skill happened to be very low.
My memory got confused.. "All your base are belong to us" may come from America. I played japanese version and it should never have had english translation. If my memory serves me correctly , strange english already appeared in Ultimate Tiger究極タイガーtwin cobra.
takekawa graduated from state-run tokyo university of foreighn studies, which is different from University of tokyo. and his major was english. Is his lyrics strange? Two of his members are american and micky yoshino studied at colliege of music in NY.
I wish I knew! implies that He doesn't know but wants to know, doesn't it? そうですか has the nuance of just agreeing with another opinion. no suprise. そうだったのか implies that he has been seeking the answer and he has finally fount out the answer just now.
>>675 First, Takekawa admitted quite recently that he didn't speak any English although he majored in English at Tokyo Gaigo Uni. He even said he 'deceived the whole of Japan' back then. Second, the English lyrics of most of Godaigo's songs were written by Yoko Narahashi, who spent around 10 years in Canada in her childhood, who's English is better than Japanese.
Those are the facts, however, I thing the point >>673 is making is that what's conveyed by that song is meaningless, if there is anything actually conveyed by it, LOL!! And I agree. That song is silly.
>>679 I watched the talkshow between Godaigo members including takekawa and peter barakan, music critic from england now living in japan. takekawa seemed to understand english and spoke in english.
but your informetion was useful. thanks.
I suppose if there had been anything strange in english, two native spekers would have pointed out and changed it.
>>681 The band consisted of Japanese and American members, the lyrics of their songs were written both in Japanese in English, Takekawa majored in English at Gaido Uni. and his English pronunciation was good when he was singing the English versions........ All those factors gave Japanese audience the impression that Takekawa was fluent in English, but that actually was not the case. Their song writer Yoko Narahashi also said in an interview that Takekawa once tried to write lyrics in English, but they totally lacked the rhythm peculiar to English.
I'm sure he was able to communicate to a certain extent, but obviously not as fluently as Japanese audience expected back then. That's what he must have meant by 'deception' when he used that word.
>>678 Thank you for explaining the difference. For 「そうだったのか」 an English speaker would probably say something like "Oh, so that's how it is." PS I am a she.
Hello, I am looking to meet Japanese people. I am 17 years old. I live in Chicago in the United States. I am a new to 2channel, so I don't really know what I am doing -_-. I am not very good at Japanese, but I am taking private lessons. I want to become fluent one day ^_^. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. My Japanese is too basic to find my way around on this site. Thanks!
>>508 What was so different about Asian children? Are they not considered to be cute by Asian people because of their black, soulless eyes? Or their emotionless faces and shrieking voices?
sorry,i've suddenly come here. I have to turn "The old tree was cut down last week" into the active voice. Does the sentence "Someone cut down the old tree last week" have any mistakes? I want you(are from english-speaking country) to answer about it.
>>712 I agree. I don't like Anglo-American culture which has dominated the States. It's exactly what you describe, and they are selfish, fake, not caring, only thinking about one's own benefit. I lived in LA about 5 years. worst there.
You get that anywhere. Especially industrialized societies. The cultural veneer might be a little different but people are people wherever you go. Some are good, some are bad.
America isn't so bad. Although, being Canadian, I am somewhat ashamed at how other countries view us as the same as America, which isn't true in any respect. But, again, most Americans are very friendly, accepting people.
I found something that might cheer some of you up:
>Some losers are lucky in love > > Yoshihiko Higa, a 29-year-old planner of social events, is having a busy summer. > He's been on dates with six women in the last couple of months, one of them becoming a casual "sex friend." > Higa isn't particularly rich and certainly isn't good looking. In fact, in describing his appearance > he uses the adjectives "ugly," "pudgy" and "effeminate." Yet it's just those traits that he exploits to meet and impress women. more at http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/fd20070819t3.html
>>725 I don't assume people are ugly. I do however assume that too many people waste time at feeling bad about their "flaws" instead of focusing on their good sides and turning their weaknesses into strengths. I've seen good looking and gorgeous people waste too much energy fretting and feeling bad about traits that aren't really bad.
Her english is good. But sometimes I find somewhat different usages in her English which I don't see in English of native speakers like イギリス人. Sometimes her english is more complicated and hard to analize for me. >waste time at In this case I think preposition "in" is rather appropriate than "at"
She is swedish.
This is just an impression that I've had. No ill intentions or anything. My english is out of question.
>>713 That sentence has no mistakes and is in the active voice, good work.
>>734 I don't know about that; if k-tan hadn't identified herself as Swedish, I would have thought she was a native English speaker. Her English is that good. I'm very fond of my neighbor, who is a charming Italian grandmother. But today she had a party for her family in her back yard featuring old disco hits plus Italian love songs with passionate accordion solos...so we went to the beach.
I've heard that Frank Sinatra songs were used as punishment for delinquent students in a high school in America, i.e. the school made the students listen to Sinatra songs when they did something against the rules. But I don't know if that worked or not, LOL~~
>>745 Actually, Garth Brooks is the best selling solo artist in America. Maybe. The Beatles have sold more albums than anyone in America. There is some controversy about whether Elvis Presley has sold more albums than Garth Brooks. Records sales figures before the 1980s are not accurate. My bet is on Elvis...
Elvis can't compose music right? I think Elvis is overrated.
I always wonder why americans are so enthusiastic about Elvis. America has to be always No1. so they can't easily accept the Beatles. Beachboys lacks something. They lack nice looking. This is my resoning.
>>750 Misora Hibari doesn't write music, either, but she is considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest, singer in Japanese history. Although I'm not her fan or anything, I found her amazing when she sang some songs in English.
>>750 If you listen carefully, Elvis is off-key much of the time. Especially in the ballads. But for reasons I don't understand myself, he is wildly, insanely popular, especially with older women (I mean older than me.) But you're wrong about the Beatles; they were well-loved here. I remember when you determined what kind of girl you were by which Beatle you liked. I was a George fan myself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuUhZxkr194&mode=related&search=
>>752 I had never heard of Misora Hibari, but they have videos of her on Youtube (what doesn't exist on Youtube?). Her voice is just amazing. She is wonderful.
I often mistakingly use 'too' instead of 'either'. Can this phenomen never happen among english speaking people? I still don't know why we must use 'either' in negative sentence.
>>753 I know Beatles is loved too in the us. But Isn't Elvis special?
'Elvis is still alive' or 'Elvis look-alike' things look silly to my japanese eyes.
>>759 Yeah, Chiaki Naomi is a legendary singer, indeed! Her voice is exceptional and she creates theatrical atmosphere when she sings. Too bad, she is not singing anymore for some reason......
>>764 Are you merkin who tried sending New Year's greeting card to 2channers? If so, long time no see. Are you following this thread or just peeked after long absence?
Adolf ate Eva Braun's fresh excrement every morning, for his health. It smelled pretty good, but tasted disgusting. Fucking Vegetarians! They never change.
Anime is wonderful. It sure is one of Japanese cultures. But grownups who love anime are nerd, otaku. I feel like puking to see adult men who are into a particular anime character. Puking on thier heads are a good idea!
Any form of hate, harassment and discrimination against us anime otakus' is illegal under the Protection of Nerd Culture Act of 1999. You delinquents will go straight to jail if you offend us anymore.
>>769 Thank you! I don't know many Japanese singers, except the young idols who sometimes show up in television dramas. That was just beautiful. Maybe someday I'll understand the lyrics. She is a very talented musician. Thank you everyone for introducing me to some of the great Japanese singers!
>>774 I myself have watched, and enjoyed some anime. And I don't consider myself an otaku. I loved "Honey and Clover"--it reminded me of my college days. Why is it okay for adults to watch some cartoon shows like say, the Simpsons, and not others?
Because nowadays, a lot of Japanese anime is made exclusively for us pedophiles who never had a real life and failed to grow up to face the world out there. It's basically softcore porn without the porn side of it, and even sometimes with it. It's our alternative life, where the girls somehow never notice that we're so repulsive. It's not satirical comedy, it's not an action hero cartoon show, it's just my life that I never lived.
>>765 Yeah, it's me; after 2ch put in place the posting restrictions, I gave up for a while; I'm hoping that since I'm in Tokyo now, it'll let me post without having to go through all sorts of extra difficulty.
porn anime culture sometimes forces us to concern about distinction between real issues and imaginary affairs. However, we shouldnt forget porn animes is working as safety valve of frustration for persons who have never got up their sexual appetite. In other words, the culture reduces criminals derived from the sexual appitite. From a viewpoint described above, I think we should accept this culture, which works as a safety valve of our society, though some dislike such a culture.
>>780, 783 There is some (well a lot, actually) of anime out there which has a weak story but tons of fan service. I avoid those shows. And we have our share of offensive shows here too--"South Park" or the earlier "Beavis and Butthead" come to mind.
But there's so much good anime available. I own most of Miyazaki Hayao's fims, which I bought for my kids. I think "My Neighbor Totoro" is one of the best films for children ever made--it captures the world of a child's imagination so beautifully. With the exception of The Lion King and Mulan, I'm not too crazy about much of the Disney stuff--too many princesses finding their prince and living happily ever--gaak.
Although I've moved on from anime and am mostly watching television dramas. I love shows that only have 10-12 episodes-perfect for my short attention span.
One of my friends told me he earned ¥400,000― on the Comike(pure profit). Earning 400000 yen for three day is very surprising! What a big business it is!
>>790 There are even bigger groups that earns over 10 million yen through the Comike. Over 300 thousand people get together to take part in the Comike in Tokyo. Although I've never been to Comike, I took part in something like "after Comike party" where people who bought a lot of stuff in the Comike show came along. Some items looked very expensive.
The most expensive things I saw there were in the range of 2000 or 3000yen per issue. Given that those were the most popular, and thus stocked large numbers, it's not surprising to see the more established artists rake in huge piles of cash.
I have a question to foreigners. How do you think about shotacon(boylove yeah, kinda pedophile)? Shotacon is Japanese traditional thing. Many of Samurai loved beautiful little boys. ya.I am shotacon too.and there are many Shotacons in Japan. I have Shotacon American friend he is same as my age 17years old. but I think British really hates shotacon. righ? dont be racist to shotacon. there are maybe some bad shotacons, but it is same as only girl lover. there are also stupid only girl lover. but we unstupid shotacons dont do stupid thing to kid. We just love them as you love girls (I'm bi thoug.but I like boys better) We need understandable shotacon by foreigner. Im serious. and also I think gay is ok. cuz its free to love anyone. sex is no matter.isnt it? boy have sex with girl ya its just for make baby. I want to have my child too. I want to marry with girl. but YOU should think of Shotacon culture and understand. and if you like. you can take part in Briliant Beauty of little boys. thank you. Im waiting for your amazing answer. My American shotacon friend is Riley. If you want him to join this thread, ask me. my english is really poor LOL..
>>795 Yes, of course they do, but only for 1-2 weeks. And our summer break is 11 weeks long.
>>796 My amazing answer is that you shouldn't express those views if you ever visit America. Sex offenders are considered the lowest of the low here, and anyone over the age of 18 that has sex with anyone under the age of 18, even if it's consensual, is considered a sex offender for the rest of their life. And you go to jail for that. Shotacon, lollicon, whatever, it's unacceptable here.
I'm pretty sure prison inmates would mess up Uwe Boll, if they had half a chance. But his "movies" are just part of a German tax evasion scam anyway...
It's more of a universal thing. Alexander the Great, Caeser and Napoleon. All these masculine war heroes shagged young boy's asses as much as they liked, just like Nobunaga did. Greeks and Romans were very open about it before Christianity came along to make things more dull. And not precisely British, but the writer Oscar Wilde was put in jail for boy-shagging. It's basically nothing special. Sorry if I'm wrong about Napoleon, maybe it was the great Mongolian leader Gen-ghis Khan or somebody. Just don't get caught. That's all I have to say.
Thank you for your amazing resposes. shotacon is bad in christian. yeah I know that it is illegal to have sex with under 18 year old kid. and I never do that. I like little boys.but I dont do stupid things to them. I dont know about few crazy people. ya,i do masturbate. but I don think it is bad to watch shota videos.. cuz if we cant watch that and we can't masturbate,, that will make ..events. cuz they will be not able to hold their sexual appetites. so Masuzoe sucks. Putin the president of Russia is shotacon.. >>799 Where are u from? >>797 I havent lived in foreign countries.
17 year old high school kid? You are still boy. You are also the target of hentai shotacon including youreslf? Why don't you suck yourself dick?!! If you won't, I will do it to you. I am national a socialist and phomophobia. But if you insit, I will do with kindness.
>>815 Oh really?cool. and thank you for your understanding. I heard that rich canadian people buy poor boy from Eastern Europe. >>817 no worries. I am not ''cute''or 'hot' boy. Im getting older. I dont want to be old...orz... and No I dont want to suck dick. rather, I want someone to do that to my dick.whats phomphobia. i dunt know that. but ya, Im not hot . Im just 17 year old male. but Takeshi Nagai the ace pitcher of Meikun highschool is so hot.I like him. he is 17 ..so I became gay..(bi) >>824 何で少年が好きなのに少年殺さなきゃいけないの 彼はショタコンだったんですか?一緒にしないでもらいたい。
I dont like that kind of scary HOMO either.. but I think gay is not bad thing, gay is normal bi is normal. there's no rule that male have to love female female have to love male . its free. there are many attractive people. http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=lytW3pwfMr8
>>849 Ok. I see.merci. thanks. trannies transgender
>>850 ok..but I can't adjust to their way of speaking. maybe english speaker can't know that. Japanese transgenders speaks like female there are big defferences between male tongue and female tongue in japanese they speak more girly than real female. ce-est ....quimoi....
In fact, there are a lot of pretty and sexy trannies out there. Don't think of the famous okamas on TV. They're not exactly representing them nicely. Juicy shemales are really hot.
>>855 Yes they do, they use girly words that girls don't even use. Or the words that female used to use 40 years ago. I think it's quite fascinating. I mean they're fabulous as friends. I never fall in love with any of them... too camp, too feminine.
I envy you. You are surrounded by much more english learning opportunites than our generation. We'd never thought we would communicate with native speakers in English through the internet.
>>864 hm ya, I like normal boys but it doesnt mean I like gachimuchi, so I said I originaly am shotacon. so I like little boy and baby faced boys. >>866 lol how old are u?
and I have possibility to get an Aussie girl friend, I met her in Australia,She liked me. I think she is like 13 years old or so.
hm I think same. IF it is possible, they want to have sexual intercouse with little boys. and love there bodys.. and many of shotacon want to suck little boys dick.(I dont want to) or want little boy to suck our dick(I want to) or something like that. think, they wants to do things az you want to with you sexual target,
English is....DIFFICULT!! I have to study English harder.. and I went to Australia, it was really hard to understand what little kids were saying.. My English skill havent reached to be able to comunicate with native English speaking kids.
I'm not a shotacon but I kind of like the idea of dominating inexperienced boys... suck their nipples just a little & they cum, but 10 mins later they can cum again... and again & again
>>879 who are you? I dont think 2channelers praise my English. but thanks. ;)or just kidding... >>881 yes.soz Okay, I should go to bed, If I dont have sleep, I will be uglier. Thank you for chatting with me.Nice talking with u all.
Merci pour vous avez convercation avec moi.Mon Francais est tres tres mal . mdr bonne nuit! a bientot!!
Does anyone go to Nichome? I'm Japanese but live in London, going to Tokyo soon. Never experienced Nichome & wonder if anyone can recommend any bars/clubs
Sexual deviate pervert like him is still loose in Japan. He is under the illusion that to have sex with child has been admitting by law. but actually, the law against child porn manga is present. shotacon is meaning the people who are loving to have sex with children. exactly it is the image of pedophile. and he is showing a fake image about it to us deliberately. shotacon would be go downhill because of people who mouth off about shotacon like him.
If there's laws against child porn manga, then the enforcement of them is extremely lax. I went to the Comike, but even locally, stores selling H-games don't seem to be worried about hiding their material.
>>>918 無精者 is correct. As for 武将者, we usually don't use it. We simply use 武将. By the way, I found out there is a yakitoriya(yakitori bar) called 武将者, which the owner intentinonally named.
