>>6 then how come you speak Japanese ? if you didn't have ability to memorize things at all when you were a child. you can't speak Japanese now. your way of thinking is so petty.
>>6 Yes, your way of thinking is awesome. You are facing you weakness, dealing your weakness face to face which is great! Not many people would like to do that.
So keep up your work! I am not good at memorizing either! I guess you are more talented in an artistic field, don't you? then why don't you learn English through drama, movies, or some story books, instead of just memorizing new vocab by seeing one word after another.
Hey >>13 how conceited you are to be so critical to beautiful, angel hearted the princess bernardo! you'd better go to a temple and purify the evil spirit of yours.
They have been so harsh at me but it's just a joke, Japanese way of joke I'm capable enought to enjoy their tease.
and they know that I am very beautiful and not old. That's why they are saying those words. Maybe they want to see my pic so bad.... I know I know...lollollol
I haven't watched baseball games on TV recently.so I'm not sure how come Giants is so weak. but generally speaking, the strength of pitching staff is essential for the team to win.
>>40 I see what you mean. But, now the problem is, noone in G seems to want to listen to Hara. He can't even figure out what's wrong. He gets cut off the team, and then G get better.
>>41 I once bought a japanese version of the first Harry Potter. Haven't finished it though. I did actually read the english version to ease my understanding of the Japanese version.
>>42 Really ? I guess they won't be able to solve the problem with the way you've just told me. may be it's not so simple. then, who do you think is the most suitable for the manager of Giants ?
I personally think Dave-Okubo could do a good job as a manager. He knows so mush about baseball. His live report on TV is so accurate and He can tell everything that's gonna happen next in a game beforehand.
I went to my best friend's home page. geez..I didn't know she had such a place all these years...so I had a lot to read...overall, I could feel her vibration or emotion in everyday's life. Her emotion really changed day by day. But that was touching...but some part I didn't understand. she used some secret words such as po...I don't like a girl uses such a dirty word. I never know what she meant but in any case, ummm....that part I don't want to know. Around her birthday she was so happy and then suddenly she missed her ex bf. I should have known that. I should have console her feeling damn...
You should have consoled your feeling, too. what did you say ? Birds of a feather flock together. wow,you often post your prevate matters on this thread,so I knew a lot about you. Is that good ?
>>57 What are you talking about ? What do you mean by a double-crosser ? There isn't any kind of relationship between bernardo and me. so ,don't talk nonsense ! you piss me off !
>>65 I'm not sure. I think >>56 was trying to say that you also have difficult emotions, like your friend, and that you shouldn't post such personal information about yourself. >>57 was saying that >>56 betrayed you by saying such things. Then >>58 (>>56) responded that he had nothing to do with you, so it wasn't a betrayal. Is it all clear to you now?
>>70 nope....sometimes in love section or other sections.... I used to reveal my name as bernardo, but when I write something private, I often write under anonymity.
I think I remember I posted something like this before..
46 :bernardo:2006/06/17(土) 23:32:57 Hey! my bf is weird or evil...He is a computer geek..
He said something like this recently...(we broke up recently).
--My main computer is having a problem again. Because microsoft got me for using a hacked windows...it automatically updated and... it killed the system...Game over...
Means...
my main computer = me microsfot = coincidentally, by chance hacked windows = other girl automatically updated = go nuts
so it means...
My girl friend hs having a problem again. Because I met a girl by chance, so she (my girl friend) is gone nuts and finally she became crazy. So our love is over.
Hmmm... Well, you have pretty good instincts then, if you're right that is. Anyway, instinct isn't an organ. I'm not sure what it is, actually... I suppose it's not something physical. It's something that can be found in your brain.
>>82 I'm not sure that was the right answer or not. It's useless to ask him by now. Instinct is not an organ, but to compare with ...for example my eyes, my ears, my nose, this 6th sense works better than anything else as a handicap person. anywayyyyy....sorry to bother you for saying such a crap..... If I've taken your time, please go back to whatever you are doing, sir. Thanks....
>>83 >sorry to bother you for saying The "for saying" should be "by saying". "for" indicates a reason for doing something, e.g. "I'm going to get you for that!". "by" indicates a means or way, e.g. "I'm going to reach the other side of the lake by swimming across." Understand?
>such a crap It should be just "such crap". No article is needed.
Anyway, you haven't wasted my time. BTW, what do you mean by "as a handicap (should be handicapped) person"?
>>85 opps so many errors!! but thanks for the corrections! well...handicap means nothing. Just I feel that way. I am very awkward as handicap level. For example, I can't walk as a normal person (I'm always thinking about something else and fall down easily etc..) But I feel bad by using this word...sorry. ummm....anyway... I screw up often. That's all. Thanks for taking your time. No more consultings..lol it annoys other ppl here ^^;;
>>86 Well, just try to be more careful in the future. And while I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "consultings", but I'm guessing you're telling me not to post to you anymore. So, bye, then.
That "but I'm guessing" should have just been "I'm guessing". I screwed up because I did something else after writing the first part of the sentence and then came back to it.
>>105 Then change your name to a more manly one. I don't like it when other people are trying their best to make my future boyfriends fall for themselves!!
Let's talk about Harry Potter. What do you think will happen to Harry at the end of the 7th book? Will he live or die in his attempt to kill Voldemort?
I don't know if Harry will die, but I bet Draco Malfoy will. JKRowling said that she was going to kill off somebody, so I think it will be him. If she killed off harry, I think that all the fans would be WAY too angry at her.
I AM RUSSIAN GIRL. I AM LOOKING FOR MAN FOR LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP AND MARRID! Please send e-mail to address at: [email protected] I am waiting your letters!

This thread is created for readers of Harry Potter.
Reading English books and exchanging opinions in English will improve your English. So let's get together and have fun talking about the books!
*Before posting, please read the general rule in this thread. There will be spoilers in the thread. And do not forget a [spoiler] tag on it. Maybe something really big at the top with some spaces, like:
= = = = SPOILER! book/movie: [number/name]= = = =
Write the spoiler here.
= = = END SPOILER~! = = =
The couple of spaces in between would let people skip over it if they wanted to
I also like Perfume, L'arc~en~ciel, HYDE, Orange Range, Malice Mizer, X Japan, The Pillows, Dir en grey, Glay, Miyavi, TMRevolution, Plastic Tree, Penicillin, Analog Fish, Gackt, Pierott, The Back Horn, Gazette, and others.
>>143 Why do you stick up for Snape? Because you are like Snape? How evil you are!! Of course, he's evil. When he killed Dumbledore, his face was full of hatred.
I've never heard of m-flo! But I see you like mostly J-pop! very cool.
My Fav American band...hmm..I have a wide range...I like MyChemicalRomance (Gah! so emo!), Nirvana,Linkin Park, Korn, Dresden Dolls, Hot Hot Heat,Incubus...so many more.
>>157 I suppose not. Why did Snape made an unbreakable vow? He knew he was supposed to kill the headmaster at that time. He just showed his true colour.
>>164 I think that he had no other choice... He probably told Dumbledore about it and Dumbledore decided he would have to die... Hagrid overheard Snape and Dumbledore talking and Snape was saying he just couldn't do it anymore... That was probably to make it look like Snape didn't want to be a spy anymore, but it may turn out in the next book that it was really Snape saying he didn't want to kill Dumbledore... The reason I think this that JKR always likes to put tricks into the book....
Do you have any idea what Harry's blood in Voldemort-you know he used his blood when he's back-will do? Dumbldore was triumphant when he heard from Harry that his blood was mixed in Voldemort. What's your opinion on that?
>>168 hm, nice summer weather you got there. It's going to be 104degreesF tomarrow. So hooooot... Actually, My real name is Kayla, I used the Japanese pronounciation. Congrats on your new neice!
>Dumbledore decided he would have to die But I wonder why Dumbldore pleaded for Snape just a few moments after he threw Avada Kedavra? That doesn't fit..
>>171 Actually, that's one reason that a lot of people think Dumbledore wanted to die. He always said before that he wasn't afraid of death and that there were things worse than death. If he was telling the truth, then why would he be pleading for his life like that? It makes Dumbledore look like a foolish character, unless he was just acting when he did it...
>>172 Why don't you quit trusting Snape anymore? Dumbledore wouldn't have dreamed of being killed by Snape. Dumbledore wouldn't have bothered to look around for the Horcruxes if he had known Snape betrayed him.
>>176 You are missing the biggest point here. Dumbldore wanted to call on Snape when he got back to the cave, weak and tired from the potion thing. He counted on Snape for his spells. Remember?
Dumbledore didn't know Snape was acting for Voldemort the very moment Malfoy said he was a double agent. Then he realised he was wrong... Sad, though.
>>185 Wasn't that before Dumbledore knew Hogwarts was being attacked, though? Snape would have been able to help him if not for that. He didn't know it was time for Snape to kill him yet, so he thought he would get help.
>>192 That's not a good guess. Dumbledore had been searching for the Horcruxes, but Obviously he didn't tell anyone except for Harry (and his best mates). Why did he want to be killed at the middle of the searching? I'm afraid you don't make sense...
>>195 He probably would have collected all the hoxrcruxes if he could have, but he realized that it was his time to die. He knew that it would have to be Harry who would defeat Voldemort anyway, so he probably thought he wasn't necessary also.
>>205 Oh, really? It's been a long time since I've read it. I only read it once, the day after it came out. Maybe he still didn't expect that Snape was going to fulfill his oath at that point? Anyway, I think Snape is good because the purpose of the character throughout the books was to show that even though someone might be mean, they're not necessarily evil... I think it would be stupid to thow that out the window, but it's possible that he is evil, I admit.
>>202 I'm saying, why did Dumbledore wanted help from Snape even when the Hogwarts was being attacked? Why didn't he know Madam Rosmerta was put on Imperious curse? Why didn't he allow Snape not to inform him of what had been done in the room of requirement?
>>211 It's a kind of recreation or sports. It's aim is to carefully approach someone from behind without being noticed and stick one's fingers into his/her butt. Very amusing!
>>209 Very true. When Harry said he would go to Madam Pomfrey's and take her back to Dumbledore, the headmaster refused the offer.
And if you stick to the idea that Snape was good, I'll let you know what the author said about him. She said her readers thought Snape was trully a good person, but she said they were wrong. I think she said this when the book 5 was published.
>>216 Well, I'm not going to aruge about the events in book 6 anymore because I think you're right that there didn't seem to be much communication going on between Snape and Dumbledore. Anyway, the reason that I think he is still good (in addition to what I said in >>209) is that in all the previous books, it makes it look like Snape is doing something evil and then at the end it always turned out that Snape wasn't quite as evil as they thought. The same thing might happen again, but over the span of two books.
And did JKR really say that? I found this interview just now, and she doesn't say outright that Snape is evil, but she heavily implies it.
So, basically, I think he still good (really I'm hoping that he is still good) because I think it would be pretty stupid if it turned out he was evil (considering the previous books), but I guess that might happen.

I'm 17. I found out about 2ch on a wikipedia.com article, and decided to see whta it was about; and I suppose the world is treating me very well, thank you. xD
I let google translate that. It is said that every two weeks a language in the world dies. Large languages like for example English continue to increase and small languages ever weaker. One speaks perhaps only a language sometime. Would it be better, if it gave only one language, or would find you that boring?
>>267 Me too! Learning another language is always very fun
oh my god, 1 million?! Well,It doesn't matter. Noone is ever going to memorize 1 million words but the dictionary always puts stupid slang words in. I don't really think Slang counts as real words sometimes because they can disappear just as fast as the are created
>>267 The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary. --James D. Nicoll
>>281 Interesting quote. Did english have purity in the first place? I don't think so. I don't think it's dirty either. It's just a language. A very specific and difficult language.
How does english steal vocabulary form other languages? This confuses me a bit
English takes words from all languages. 'pajamas' is from Hindi 'ketchup' is from Indonesia (or maybe China, nobody's sure) 'igloo' is from Inuit 'kiosk' is from Finnish 'genre' is from French 'algebra' is from Arabic 'et cetera' is from Latin
>>288 Oh, that's what you mean. Well, yeah the entire english language is mostly made up from greek and latin words. So it's kind of an evolved language huh? n_n
>>308 Haha, I'm not busy at all, except when I have to clean the house or study.I haven't been on too long at all actually. Usually I'm on forums for way longer than I should be. >.>;; I just feel like I need to talk to people sometimes.
and don't worry about my health! lol, I'm perfectly healthy. xD
oh I see thanks!! You inspired me! lol Oh well...I'm lookng for a good translator. Do you have any recommendation? When I want to read some articles written by foreign languages...I need it.
Kayla, about myself? what do you wantto know? I'm just an ordinary Japanese girl. working. aged 25 ~35 hehe.... just guess. I like to listen to the music. J pop, K pop C pop, of course American music UK music too. I like to watch movies, I like PC but my knowledge is not so deep. I want to learn more.
You know, I once thought about posting my pic and my profile...but then I had a second thought... it's not necessary. Nobody's doing it here! lol Maybe it's better to keep our profile secret. How do you think?
>>317 Oh yay! music is one of the best things in the world! You're a girl? The name bernardo fooled me then. Haha. I didn't know that you could make a profile here, i thought everything was anonymous. Hm, I'd keep my profile secret. I'd be afraid of perverts. Haha
>>319 haha you are right. I still don't know what part of myself ticked their nerve..lol they are too serious ppl maybe...
>>320 haha you'd better keep it secret...if you'd read all the English chat threads, within 5 min, you would know how pervert they are...lol That was not my intention to fool ppl but I just liked this name. oh I gotta see MI before the show ends...
Do you know layered look? I wear two tank tops and then something to wear over. Some ppl wear even three similar tank tops (but different color, different design). In Japan if it's a trend all the girls do the same thing...lol that's Japan...^^;;
I feel like you are my old friend...I don't know why I feel that way... anyway! I missed you!! lol I even feel like you and I, two of you are only in this world... haha just kidding lol
yeah! lol me too. I am chatting with my old friend now. it seems like he found a new girl recently. I thought he broke up and he's having a hard life...but I was wrong.
I haven't been using this msn for a month. DO you chat sometimes? keira?
You break up, but within a week or two, you'll find another girl? Well the one I've been chatting is Asian. He is a shy boy but unexpectedly his action was quick lol
is it 4pm? really? lol he said night...umm..maybe he likes to go to bed early...
>>371 Yeah, depends on the person. Just guessing from how he experienced the heartbreak, I thought it would take longer to stand on his feet. but I guess he is on the right path...we should look forward. oh How to express l"ook forward" in better English?
when you lose somebody close, or somebody who always stay beside you, you feel like you lost your half side of your body(?)...but you'll get used to it in a week or so. Human are stronger than what we imagine..."lose" maens not just a break up but sometimes your sis goes away or your mother pass away...etc..
>>380 Hm, yes, I agree. When someone close to you goes away, either for a little while, or forever, sometimes you can feel empty... But, yeah, Humans are definatly strong. Sometimes humans don't realize how strong they are.
yeah....something like go...go dutch...no go forward not looking back...I forgot But my Australian friend used that expression often... Thanks anyway...
I've lost some friends but they are always in myself staying with me in my heart. I often remember them by just pulling up my old memories. HEY! I talk like a very old person! sorry *blush*
Aw, I'm sorry to hear that you have lost frineds, I've lost one too. It's okay to talk like an old person sometimes, I think everyone does at times. xD Haha.n__n
Yeah definitely. We better look forward than looking back. So Kayla? do you have any plans for the future? The reason why I'm asking you is because I am thinking about how to get back to normal. The situation now is not normal for me ...but I don't want to do some artificial things so like a flow of water, I just want to reunite with my friends. I am out from the circle now but at the same time, I feel like oh....anything is ok...if I am kicked out, I can stay alone... blabla...sorry you don't understand what I am taling about, do you?
Sorry...the story is like this. I had some good friends but something happened and I am out from the circle. But I can't go back to them because one reason is I am so frightened on their attitude towards me too. But there is one girl I want to talk very much. Do you think I can talk to her privately? The girl is always in the circle so it's kinda hard to get in touch with her. well...I'm not a school girl but there is a circle. We gather often esp on the weekends...
I think that maybe you should talk to the girl privatly, at first. If she is the only person you want to talk to, then you should not trouble yourself with the others.
But if you also miss your other friends a lot, then I think you should approach all of them
>>393 Yeah you are right. ummm...but I'm quite frightened... so I won't be bothered...I just try to approach one girl only. Oh I'm talking about my real friends. I used to meet them often, had dinner together, do some activities together. Thanks
>>394 chubo means jr high student? maybe...I dunno
>>395 Yes, I think that would be best then. :D If you want to get back to having fun with your real friends, then maybe you should take them to a movie. If they aren't asking you to go anywhere, then you should to ask them. :3
>>400 Oh, you did a different kanji than what I would have used. I use the kanji "kei" as the 'intelligent/clever' and "ra" is the kanji for a buddhist sanscrit
This story is about a woman who had to stay in a jail for a crime she did not commit. Do you know this system "except someone from the amnesty". if the person's attitude in a jail is excellent she can go out.
>>405 oh, what a sad story. Yes, If criminals have a good behavior, then their sentance can be lightened. I don't know if they can get out completely though. Depends on the crime I think. I don't know much about the complex workings of Law. O_O;
oh I remember the movie. Well...I think he actually commited a crime.. He killed his wife, I think. But she was cheated him. If I were a prime minister I would set her free immediately....don't you think so? she was such a gentle woman but why on earth she has to stay in jail...
No, someone else did the crime, but they thought it was him because he witnessed it, I think Sometimes even if someone acts gentle, they can be a bad person in secret. But in the book you're describing, i think she is an exception, since she isn't guilty. :D
>>414 I believe so. I haven't met her in person but from how the book described, she was a very kind person. A little bit emotional at a time but that happaned to anybody...but umm...even her period of sentence would be shorter, how ppl look at her wouldn't change...once she has a criminal record, that means she's no longer have an equal life with other citizens. poor girl....
>>418 but it's good for American ppl. They have Mexico. Whenever they are to put in jail, they can break out and then head to Mexico and live happily ever after. We have nowhere like Mexico here. lol
>>420 Ahaha, like the Shawshank movie? Haha. But I don't know, The US is pretty tough these days. They might search in mexico. O_O haha. But I don't know for sure.
lol yeah...we feel like if you are in U.S, anything may happen and there is always ways to escape...something like that lol...just kind of impression I get from the movies lol
>>428 Oh yeah......the music is awesome! Kubota Yoshinobu and a korean singer (I forgot her name) a duet music. Her voice was really beautiful. The music is really nice! He is a singer who had a hit song "Missing". Nakashima Mika covers this song. (is it ok if I said cover his song? in this case?)
>>433 tomorrow? really? maybe I listen to my friends opinion first and then I go to the theater...coz last time, Da Vinci code was not good at all...(the book was far better I heard...) I haven't read it yet...thought...lol
You are right about age but not quite about sage. sage doen't bump the thread so it stays the same position on the forum. Since some peple hates threas that are standing out, and bumped threads are often good target for trolling attacks.
This thread used to be a total mess thaanks to some crazy trolls. I think k-tan remembers those days. Now it's much quiet. You can age this thread if you like. It's up to how you feel. But at least remember that some posters hate if you bump up threads.
Hahaha, Then if I want to bump a post, Instead of putting "age" I'll just post a random fact or something. I know that in other forums people also don't like it when you bump.
>>477 You're a fellow 4channer? Though I probably can't call myself that nowadays.
>>486 Yeah, I remember. It was rather confusing, and tedious. Especially when the spamflood hit a very active thread.
>>491 Heh, Tank? Are you going to call me Tank Girl now? Hm.. That reminds me.. I haven't read that comic yet. I wonder how many years it'll take until I finally get around to it.
>>500 I used to lurk a lot around the site. Haven't really spend much time there for half a year or a year, by now. And oh ah. You know a lot of the memes? So you're likely to spot random meme-references I occasionally sprinkle into my sentences for good measure?
>>499 Ah, well, it could have been worse. At least I got some time to catch up on my reading, so that was good :-)
>>510 well..my friend lend me this album. It caught my eye...
nvm I just saw the other Kaela somewhere so I thought it might be you. but you just changed the spelling ^^ It's sooooo hot here, how about your place? do you drink pepsi too? Do you prefer pepsi to Cola? Kayla?
>>511 Oh, I see. I didn't know how popular my name is. O.O It's pretty hot here too. Mostly 90's though, so not too bad yet. It get's up to 110 during the hottest week. And yeah, I love pepsi. It tastes more crisp than cola. Cola tastes too,...(I'm not sure how to describe it...)it tastes too thick I guess
No, that name is not popular. I have never heard of that name except for her. Plus, ケイラ is not pronounced as Kaela in Japanese. It's カエラ. See what I mean?
>>511 Yeah! Kayla I agree, Cola is a bit sweeter than Pepsi, isn't it? I have pepsi bottle in my fridge too! I didn't eat mentos at the same time though! lol It makes me to have diarrhea! lol
I just want to chill out...so when Kayla or k-tan are around, I can talk peacefully while other guys are.....-_-
>>525 but to talk about girl's fart , isn't it a sexual harrasment?
BTW I was so excited to watch FIFA even normally I am not wo into it...^_^;; so-called "niwaka fan"-overnight fan...lol
But after the FIFA I've learned a lot about soccer. But do you know I've joined one of the soccer forum but they are all having technical discussion while I am only focussed on the players (whether he is cool or not...)lol so I can't really make a post there...but some ppl included me as a friend I'll take sometime and read what they've wrote there...^_^;;
>>537 Don't worry, bernardo. You don't need to conceal your identity. I know you are a good male. I'm sure we'll make a good couple. So do you want to go out with me?
>>540 haha sorry please look for other guys. Here you can find a lot of Japanese male.
>>539 I am a girl. I don't know I just thought it's ok to do so. coz I know one girl who called herself Michael somewhere. She was a cute high school girl while neko was her boyfriend.
>>546 celeb? I don't look like any celeb...I have thick glasses and my hair is pig-tailed. ummm my clothes is ummm...how do you say? ja-ji in Japanese..jersey cloth. The old training wear which I often wore in ping-pong club during back to my high school days..
>>553 Yeah, I know if I would ress up I can be a pretty girl anytime...but you know I feel comfortable this way. Pig-tail is the best hair style ever. I don't have to go to hair stylist often...(maybe once in 3 months) as long as I have two rubbers to hold mmy hair together, you know? I don't have to be popular among boys. I am comfortable this way. I like otaku stuff, I enjoy my life this way. Thanks
>>591 DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME!! IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A GIRLFRIEND, AND NEVER INTEND TO BREAK UP, I WON'T DATE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M NOT EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>590 Thank you, Lubosuka. But sometimes I might talk to other ppl... Pls don't get mad if you happened to see me talking to other person. You are my 1st priority in this thread ok?
>>542 I've seen plenty of people with gender neutral names, or names that one would think the opposite gender would have. Doesn't really matter much, a name is a mere label - the most important thing is that you like the label you chose, and do not find it annoying in the long run, if you've chosen words as a name, as opposed to a mere regular name (e.g. ihatekittens, little_princess_forever, pepperedparrotsteak - rather than miho, maximillian, Seiji or tina)
>>547 Have you seen the movie Constantine? A female played the angel Gabriel :-D http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0842770/ I was surprised to see the woman who resembled the actress that played the elven queen Galadriel in Lords Of The Ring somewhat play such a character. Somehow, it worked very well, apart from a scene or two. But that was more of related to that specific actress.
>>550 Seems to me that the overwhelming majority of the world has problems with their sexuality. People who keep being worried and afraid, or just plain confused and frustrated at that. Though I guess the amount of people with problems depends on what one defines as a problem.
>>553 That sounds cute. Obviously not the ultra-feminine kind of cute, nevertheless still cute.
>>560 Otaku stuff? Such as? Oh, by the way, how old are you, really? I hope you do not find that question offensive. I know that in a lot of countries it's very bad to ask a woman's age. Not in Sweden, though. We're used to handling our birth-dates all the time, as it's a part of the national identification number every person has.
>>617 You're Swedish? Swedish characters on American TV shows always have a weird song-like rythmn to their sentences. Do Swedish people really do that when they speak English?
>>617 K-tan! Thanks! I'm flattered! If you think I'm cute. lol yeah...I'll try not to find it annoying. I've chosen this name as my username. I like otaku stuff. I am also mi-ha. Sorry I don't have much time now. I'll talk about otaku in detail next time! have a nice day!
>>618 I doubt she ever will be forgotten, so do not worry :-)
>>619 ...I, don't know. My immediate reaction would be to say "Nahh, that's the Norwegians that have that". But that's also related to the dialect, I think. There are a few Swedish dialects that are more sing-song style, but the dialect I'm most used to does not have that (as far as I've noticed) nor does the standard Swedish. Personally, I do not really have a Swedish accent in English (as far as I have noticed) but I can fake a really thick, stereotype one. Not really singsong, more of applying tons of Swedish pronouciation on English words. "Lajk diss, juu nåe" - like this, you know. Hmm. I should record myself faking that accent and listen to it. I do not do it that consciously, maybe I do it more singsong than standard English. Though it's also a parody of really heavy Swedish accents -___- Heavy Swedish accents in English sounds so very bad *shudders* -____-;;;
"Vhy do you 'ave zis fixation vit ze sheep? Lie down on ze couch und tell me about your mother. She waz dominant, ja?" Ahem.. Seriously though.. What's up with the sheep? (O.o);; Did I miss some sort of insider joke?
>>645 Ahh.. So you were just making silly connections? And though http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/ is handy, it's far from perfect... I would appriciate it if you stuck to English when replying to me, as I sadly do not speak/read Japanese at this point.
>>649 Of course you're not... x-D Though you should be careful about why the otaku-seekers want an otaku for boyfriend. Some want one because they think they could easily push them around, and make the otaku worship them - others because they merely want someone who is passionate about an interest and probably willing to commit properly rather than just fool around with any chick (no feeling threatened by mere images and animation). Seems as if the Densha Otoko craze spread certain interesting stereotypes of the otaku.
>>651 Probably not as rare as what you think. Though that does indeed depend on where you're looking. Your best bet would be cons and forums for an abundance of such.
When I go to the other link, it always says "you are trying to jump to the other site" and there are full of naked women porn pictures ads. That's disgusting...
Oh....I miss my friend, Kyla-chan.... It's Sat afternoon, so she must be having a nice time with her boyfriend. She deserved to have a cool bf...
What time is it in Russia? if it's Moscow..it's 2:30am. Luboska must be sleeping. Nite nite^^ sleep tight my dear friend. dream about your ideal Japanese boy.
Luboska is really Russian, but the "Lubosuka" here is not the real Luboska, He/she doesn't even spell the name right! Luboska's original message was copied from another forum and posted here, and then someone here started pretending to be her. If you want to attempt to contact the real Luboska, she said that her e-mail address was "[email protected]", but I don't know if that e-mail address really works.
Really? I thought the person I've spoken to was her. But in any case, I'm looking forward to seeing the impersonater of hers. I'm big fan of her. She'f fun!
Because even what he has done is somewhat impetuous and against his glorious career, we can see his pure heart there. He is such an honest person. The way he headbutt him (without using his hands) was also hilarious. So not using his hands, as a soccer player, it is true to his principles too. <------this part is important he doesn't care about social morals(?) but he very loyal to his own rule...very clean personality.
It was the final match so, many ppl in the world watched. I can tell it is the most impressive matter in FIFA 2006 haha and will remained lodged in our brain and will be talked generation to generation. Even it is stupid, it was fun. I think things like that is not something we should be talked serious. We can just enjoy the matter and respect Zidane. as a greatest soccer player, as an interesting person who has the purest heart ever!!!!
I saw neko on Harry Potter thread too. Unlike my first impression, he could write pretty good English even he claimed nya nya is the only his/her language..lol
>>713 Oh, yes. It is very hard for humans to understand the language of cats. Maybe you will one day come to understand just a bit of our complexities, but maybe not,
>>715 oh really? such complexities are going on in cat's society? I thought they come to us only when they are hungry or seek favor from time to time, being very weathery...
I used to have a close otaku friend. She lived with her mom, only two of them in a gorgeous house. But they kept more than 10 cats and many canaries. The life of them was far from us, but looked very happy and busy lol
>>722 Oh, it was doraemon? I can't tell. >.>;;; Uhm, I'm not very tired actually, I took a nap on the couch while my brother watched TV. Haha. How about you, did you sleep well?
>>716 Well, that is a what a human might think. Why is it so strange that a cat should request food of a human? If a human will give us food for nothing, we would be stupid not to.
>>718 Well, the complexities of cats are sometimes difficult to see for humans.
>>720 Cats never slack off. Sometimes we just don't find it necessary to do something.
>>723 haha I know why you don't know doraemon!! If I would say the samething to ppl in Asia, they probably say! "OMG!! I can't believe there is someone who doesn't know Doraemon in this world!!"
Doraemon is such a famous cartoon in the world except U.S? (maybe Canada too?)
So ppl from American, they don't know Doraemon. I've heard Nobita-kun's personality is so weak and always lean on Doraemon. That's why American ppl thought it is not educational to children, esp for boys.
Oh, I have heard of doraemon, but I've never seen it. I have some asian friends who know it and told me a little about it, but that's about it. n_n
That would make sense why they don't show it in America. American programming is really stupid sometimes. They are very specific about what kids are allowed to see. When One Piece and Naruto anime came to America, I heard that a lot of things were taken out, like blood, guns, and things like that...how boring!
Hey! I found one awesome song for ya Kayla. This tune is really beautiful!
Keep Hodling U Sim Min Thanx Kubota
the duet song composed by Kubota Toshinobu. The girl is a new Korean singer. Her voice is really beautiful! She looks like Nakama Yukie but how she expresses is very dynamic..
♪Let me love you I will hold you Let me squeeze you♪
If I found this lyric, I will copy and paste it here.
I'll dedicate this song for you!! (I'm not a lesbian btw...lol)
Back! My mom bought the movie Pitch Black, but I've already seen it, so I ate some garlic bread and came back to 2ch. n_n >>736 Thanks! I'm going to try to download it right now!n_n
Hi! Kyla! She's a new singer. That one is a theme music of the movie "Nihon Chinbotsu".
Yeah....ummm I'm also looking for the song to download, but I haven't found it yet. Also lyric and English translation are not found yet. The lyric is sooo nice!
Today I'll eat out..maybe nabe ryori (casserole) but it's gonna be too hot...*thinking*
>>739 oh! thanks for the link. It sounds like a pretty song. n_n I usually listened to more fast-paced things too.
I heard this Chinese song recently, it's called: "Murderer" by Lin Guan Yin " 兇手 " by 林冠吟 It's a very strange, cool,...almost scary song!I heard it in an AMV. I can give you a link if you want. Chinese sounds so weird to me. I have to get used to it though, because I'm going to China this week!!
Who is your favorite band/singer bernardo? My favorite is Asian kung-fu generation! Heard of them? Do you like them? If you don't like them, that's okay. n_n
>>742 Hello! It's okay, I'll talk with you.I'm not scary like the other posts. xD haha
>>746 I'm going for Vacation! n_n I'm going to beijing and Shanghai. We thought about coming to Japan, but it's too expensive at this time.So maybe in a couple years.n_n
>>744 Wow! you are going to China this week? wow!! where in China? How long are you going to be there? Pls enjoy your travel!! Are you going with your family or your friend?
BTW I'm also going to S Korea with my mother and my grandmother (3 generations) from 26h of this month!! but we'll be only staying there for 3 days! I'm sure it's gonna be very fun! I love to travel with my mother and my grand mom. (I always have to be a traslator lol and tour guide!) lol
Thanks for inspiring me by telling the Chinese song! Is it Chinese rap music? is it? If you don't mind, pls give me a link. Because I amj so into Chinese rap too!
My favorite is Jay Chou from Taiwan. Not very very popular in Japan yet but he is sooo pupular in other countries in Asia. His rap is also popular. as a rap singer, I like Romeo SP. others are like Miyavi, M-flow, Tokyo Jihen(Shiina Ringo), se7en (Korean singer) etc..Oh I like Hirai Ken too! lol
>>748 I'm going to beijing and shanghai. I'm leaving this Friday and will be back on August 1st.n_n I'm going with my family (Mom and brother) with a tour group(Haha) I'm so excited!
Woah! South Korea! awesome! I hope you take care! North Korea is very scary right now. >.>;
It's not Rap music really. I don't really know what type of music it is. xD The link only plays the first part of the song, but it's pretty good. There is piano in the beggining, but it gets way better I think: you have to listen to the whole thing.n_n http://youtube.com/watch?v=8yhOHOcoXOY&search=death%20note
I've never heard Chinese rap. Is it very different form Japanese rap? I know Japanese rap sounds a LOT better than American rap. At least to me it does. xD
>>750 Wow!! Thanks! the first instrumental is a classical music. Oh and suddenly the tune change! but it's actually very good! I like it! Thanks! Is it the real theme song for the movie, Death Note? I haven't checked it yet..
Chinese rap is good. just that I don't know what he is saying but Jay Chou is really creative type of musician. Mixture of rap, classical, R&B...I think. Japanese, I know some. Do you like Japanese rap music?
>>752 haha that was an unexpected response...lol is Orange Range hip-hop group? lol Oh I've never knew they are popular among American girls...(or only among few girls?) I know that Laruku ..L'Arc~en~ciel was popular in U.S. How about Def Tech? Are they popular in U.S?
>>753 Haha! Orange Range isn't popular among American people at all, I just listen to a lot of Japanese music.heh Yes, L'Arc~en~Ciel is popular with people like me who listen to Japanese music. But you must realize, girls like me, who listen to foreign music are actually quite uncommon in America; I'm very different form the average american girl.n_n; Actually, I think I've heard of Def Tech, but I haven't heard their music...yet!
My American girl friends are so crazy about Miyavi but he is unpopular here. My friends in North America said he likes Ohtsuka Ai very much but she's no longer his idol these days...haha Koda Kumi is very popular now a days in Japan but my American friends said she is damn good from the beginning...lol
If I went to America to find a girlfriend. what kind of impression usual American girl have at me? I am 39 years old. I am good at computers. I have great knowledge on J-idols. I hate exercise.
>>760 I think Kayla needes more information about you. What kind of personality do you have? Do you often make girls laugh? have good sense of humor? Are you very kind? I think you need to describe yourself more...
>>759 Yes, a lot of people like Utada Hikaru, but again, the people who listen to Japanese music are usually the ones who watch anime If you asked any adult American who she was, they would have no idea.haha Yeah, Puffy Ami yummi have their own cartoon show for kids here.
Is miyavi unpopular in Japan? Wow! a lot of people who like japanese music LOVE miyavi! maybe it's because he has an american type of sound? Hm... I have his MYV-ism CD...heehee
really? cute! Yeah Miyavi's rock'n roll is not popular here...I guess...but ummm....he is trying to sell slower, pop type of music these days... maybe I could be wrong. But the last song, "senorita senorita" and the latest single...I forgot...sounds a bit different.
Kayla-chan so you'd like to answer this 39 yr old poor guy's question?
>>761 My personality? I am gloomy. I hate spors. I like indoor. I love net-surfing. there are lots of US ,UK and Japanese idols photos on my room's wall. I am very bad at talking with a lady. Because many women around me insult my hobbies. I hate gamble, those are a part of ,y personality.
I am a sacrifice of Koizumi Regime's reform. I am still a par-time jober...... I haven't had a girlfriend for 39 years. I haven't had an experience a kiss with female...
>>782 ......I always wonder how you approach a girl. You've never talked to a real girl in your life but you are so brave and say dirty things on Internet...it really makes me wonder and laugh!! lol
>>682 Ah, yeah. 2ch autolinks urls that start in http:// via some ad-service. so you have to click twice to get to where you want: once on the actual link page, and another time on the ad page. After that you get to the page you want. If you want to skip the ad site, just copy and paste the url into your url-bar :) I tend to let it be full urls, as with my multi-webbrowsertab surfing habits, it's less effort for me to click the url up in a new tab and then when I click to that page, click on the url. (Middle-mousebutton click + left-mousebutton click, as opposed to marking + [CTRL]+[C] + [CTRL]+[T] + [CTRL]+[V] + [ENTER] - and I'm on the webbrowser Firefox on windows, to explain why I'd need those keys) After all the years online I've gotten pretty good at ignoring ads - which is why the ad page doesn't bother me. I apologize for forgetting that everyone may not be aware of what happens with full urls here on 2ch and neglecting to mention that one might want to copy-paste the urls instead of clicking on them... orz
>>870 Boring, but truthful. If we take the reversed case, a guy getting female genetalia for a day, depending on the guy he might possible think it's awesome and take advantage of the difference for the day, or he may freak out and try to ignore the lack of penis in his pants until the day is over, etc.
If you want a more fun answer, ask individual people, rather than just wonder about a general case. The answers for the general case are too many and too different to be consistent in any way.
what women would do if they had a penis for a day 10. Get ahead faster in corporate America.
9. Get a blow job.
8. Find out what is so fascinating about beating the meat.
7. Pee standing up while talking to other men at a urinal.
6. Determine WHY you can't hit the bowl consistently.
5. Find out what it's like to be on the other end of a surging orgasm.
4. Touch yourself in public without thought as to how improper it may seem.
3. Jump up and down naked with an erection to see if it feels as funny as it looks.
2. Understand the scientific reason for the light refraction which occurs between a man's eyes and the ruler situated next to his member which causes two inches to be added to the final measurement.
