I do not understand everything that is written on this forum, so please forgive me if I have misinterpreted anything. I do not agree with post #34. It is wrong. Many people believe that Asian men in general have small pensises and are weak. This is fale. I cannot address the issues of Japanese male depravity that were spoken of in that post because I do not live in Japan. However, I can say that all of the Japanese nationals I have met in the US have all been very friendly, polite, and not "unusual" in any way. As for myself, I do find Asian men very attractive. I do not restrict myself to Asian men only because men of all races can be beautiful. For some reason though, I find myself attracted to Asian men the most. My current boyfriend is Japanese American. His family is from the US and he is trying to learn Japanese too. We have been dating for a few months. My ex-boyfriend was Chinese. He immigrated from China. Neither of them had a "small" or "deformed" penis or lacked any sexual skills that the person in post #34 describes. In fact, both have been the best lovers. My current boyfriend is definitely "well endowed" (large penis.) I would say there are many White or American women who are interested in Asian men. The problem is, at least in America, many Asian men do not approach non-Asian women. They think they will be rejected. However, if they just try, perhaps they will not get rejected! I have heard the same is true for American women who go to Asia to work. Even though they are interested in the local men, the local men will not date them. In some instances, I have been told this is because local men look down on them.
On the other hand, when you make a statement like “I'm sorry, I won't be able to”or “I'm afraid I'm busy that day,”you sound clear and decisive. If the other person insists on knowing why, you can emphasize different words, change the language around a bit, or offer some other vague comment.

He could not concentrate on what the customer was saying and had to ask her to repeat her order twice.
He stood there helpless until the mother retrieved the hat and gave it back to him. But everyone in the restaurant could see that a one-years-old child had the power to bring the operation to a halt and must have wondered about it. What was the problem here? In short, the manual, detailed though it may be, fails to cover what to do in a situation where a young child steals part of your uniform. And without th manual to guide his behavior, the employee was lost. This is a simple example of a very serious problem in Japan: the inability to take personal initiative. Training employees is important, especially employees who come into contact with customers on a regular basis. But in the end it is a worker's own creativity and initiative that constitute true salesmanship.
When it comes to doing real business with real customers, it is up to each individual employee to think on his or her feet and do what is best.
In one of the oprning sessions at the Unaited Nations Habitat UConference in Istanbul in early June 1996,Wally N'Dow,the Secretary General of the Conference, told the participants,``THEscarcity of water is replacing oil as a flashpoint for conflict between nations in an increasingly urbanized world.''
After that, I called Information Please for everything. I asked for help with my geography and she told me where Philadelphia was, and the Orinoco----the river I was going to explore when I grew up. She helped me with my arithmetic, and she told me that a pet chipmunk---I had caught him in the park just the day before----would eat fruit and nuts. And there was the time that our pet canary died. I called Information Please and told her the sad story. She listened, then said the usual things grown-ups say to soothe a child. But I was not consoled: Why should birds sing so beautifully and bring joy to whole families, only to end as a heap of feathers feet up, on the bottom of a cage? She must have sensed my deep concern, for she said quietly, "Paul, always remember that there are other worlds to sing in." Somehow I felt better.
Although these categories are not mutually exclusive, and Gleick fails to identify the links among these categories, they are convenient in characterizing the different uses of resources and the environment for strategic purposes.

The media images see of woman offer us the"ideal". If the prevalent image is currently of a woman in size seven clothes, a body that can fit size seven clothes becomes a rigid mode, and many woman who don`t possess such a body come to hate themselves for it.
the range of actual body types in the past was not different from today. What has changed is what has been set up as the ideal. studies have shown that while 25 years ago the average model weighed 8% less than the average woman, today's model weighs 23% below national average. Woman of a rare body type have borne the myth of thinness, causing many woman to suffer from the illusion that lager woman are less attractive and inferior,

As a result, though in fact the size and shape of bodies are as genetically determined as skin and eye color, many woman find they cannot accept their natural body type and torture themselves in order to conform to the ideal, either by transforming their bodies through invasive force (plastic surgery),or by denying themselves adequate nutrition.

Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget. You can only go as far as you push. Actions speak louder than words. The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love somebody else. Don't let the past hold you back, you're missing the good stuff. Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while you might miss it. A BEST FRIEND is like a four leaf clover, HARD TO FIND and LUCKY TO HAVE.
Some people make the world SPECIAL just by being in it. BEST FRIENDS are the siblings God forgot to give us. When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your BEST FRIEND will be there. TRUE FRIENDSHIP "NEVER" ENDS...Friends are FOREVER. Good friends are like shooting stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

The Japanese live in Japan and the French live in France, but it is not so simple to describe the British and their country. The full name of the country where the British live is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (known as the UK)
But this title is not found much beyond passports. It is an official term. The UK consists of four countries: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (and which are usually listed in that order). England, Wales and Scotland together make up the island of Britain. Northern Ireland is a part of the island of Ireland. Northern Ireland, it should be remembered, is not a long way from Britain--just 20 kilometres across the sea at its nearest point. The UK has a population of 57 million. By far the largest national group are the English--47.5 million.
Scotland appears a very large country because it comprises one third of the area of Britain, but it only has about 10 per cent of the population of Britain, or just over 5 million people, who are called the Scots. There are about 3 million Welsh people, in Wales, and in Northern Ireland about 1.5 million Northern Irish. The UK has four parts distinct and Britain has three distinct parts. Furthermore, there are big differences inside England, especially between the North and the South of the country. London, too, feels a very different place for many British people. It is big and international, and it seems very busy and noisy to many people who like a quiet life. All in all, Britain is a complicated place. At time,it even seems a complicated place to the people who live there!

The UK is now a multicultural society; that is, a society with a lot of different ethnic groups of peoples. Big changes in the population of Britain began in the 1950s, when large numbers of people from the West Indies like Jamaica and from the countries of the Indian sub-continent like and Pakistan came to live in Britain. Now about 2.5 million Britons (4.5 per cent of the population as a whole) are made up of people who are not white, who belong to Britain's ethnic communities. Sometimes the members of Britain's ethnic communities are called "new Britons", but this description is less and less true, as over 40 per cent of the members of the ethnic communities were born in Britain, and the percentage is growing. It would be difficult now to imagine Britain except as a multicultural society. The richness and diversity of having so many different peoples is taken for granted. For example, Britain now has over one million Muslims, mainly from the Indian and Pakistani communities. Whereas just after the war there were only a handful of Indian restaurants, they are now the most popular places for British people to eat out.The biggest street festival in Britain is the Notting Hill Carnival held each August in London. It is a great celebration of West Indian music and dancing. Britain has changed rapidly. There have been problems in the areas of housing, education and work. But there are more and more successes. Britain now has several black and Asian Members of Parliament, and the idea of multiculturalism has finally taken root.

"Please stop by when you come this way" and "Thank you. I'd love to."
"These greetings mean ‘You are close enough to call at my house any time’and ‘Of course, I know.’ Such diplomatic expressions are not intended to produse a concrete action. On the other hand, my own invitation was offered in concrete terms, ‘My mother would like you to taste Japanese homemade dished next Sunday.’ With a specific date mentioned, it was not and was never intended to be a diplomatic expression." I emphasized to her that I was truly disappointed that she had not actually visited us. "Some aspects of Japanese culture are difficult to make out, but I'm glad to learn that you really did welcome me." Her sincere smile relieved me.

In Ayurveda, we seek to restore imbalances of dosha (individual constitution) and chakra by dripping herbal oil onto key energy points located along the central nervous system. The treatment begins with a scalp massage to improve circulation and relax muscle and nerve fibres. It continues with warm herbal oil rhythmically dripped onto the forehead for mental relaxation and clarity. A warm herbal oil body massage follows which aids in detoxification and nourishment. A steam bath and a herbal dosha tea completes this restorative, warming and balancing experience for total well being.

First the skin is exfoliated with ubvartan (herbal cleansing powder) of anti-oxidant herbs, then massaged with a special blend of essential oils and herbs to hydrate and nourish, before balancing the doshas with lepa (Indian herbal mask). The mind is cooled and calmed with Shiro Dhara (the pouring of oil on the third eye) which tones and rejuvenates the skin.
3番。The Island Spa's tribute to the sea and celebration of water commences with an energising aroma massage. Zeal Oil infused with the essence of mandarin, neroli and palmarosa is featured. A refreshing blue ocean seasalt scrub follows which exfoliates the skin. The body is then cocooned in a mineralising sea body mask. A luxurious ocean bath of pure sea salt and citrus blends is complemented by a coconilla elixir of cool coconut milk and vanilla beans, to complete this aquatic pampering.
4番。This native ritual begins with a Kela Gana (ground sandalwood body scrub) followed by the soothing experience of gentle monsoon rain. A refreshing rose water rinse then creates a meditative and rejuvenating experience for complete well being. It continues with a restorative warm herbal oil massage to nourish and detoxify the nervous system, then a relaxing steam bath, and an application of frankincense sandalwood body lotion to complete this unique and indulgent ritual.
ラスト。Our Lulur combines a Javanese beauty ritual and the ultimate in pampering. The treatment begins with a relaxing Balinese massage, then exfoliation with granular turmeric, sandalwood, sweet woods, rice powder, ginger root and spices. Following the Lulur polish, indulge in a fresh yoghurt splash and relax with a soothing soak in a bath infused with tropical flowers and essential oils. The New York Times reported that Disney executives denied the allegation. One unnamed executive told the paper it did not want to be seen taking sides in the forthcoming U.S. election and risk alienating customers of different political views. 長いですが訳して頂けるとありがたいです。

To make things worse, Irish immigrants were resented by other ethnic groups who feared that the flood of Irish workers would limit their jobs and lower their wages. お願いいたします。
Issues such as these have worried many of Japan's leading thinkers, writers and scholars, and have led to the writing of an enormous number of books about the character of Japanese culture and the differences between the Japanese and other people.
This has stimulated an immense interest in all aspects of those countries and a determined effort on the part of the Japanese to master and absord the cultures of these countries.
Whereas most non-Western cultures have, until recently, been dominated by Western scholarship on their histories and cultures Japan has been uniquely able to define for itself the study of its own past.
Certainly, it is very easy to find individual Japanese who show one or the other of these attitudes. The truth about Japan, however, is that it has tried continually to do two opposing things at once − to absorb Western culture and to preserve its difference from the West.
Mr Hoshino took many pictures of polar bears in Alaska. Eskimos in Alaska call the polar bears 'Nanook'. They say that 'Nanook' means the king of the ice. There are a lot of stories of Nanook in Eskimo culture. Here is one of them. In this story, Nanook speaks to human:
All living things are part of the great Mother Earth. When you pray for my life, You become Nanook, and Nanook becomes you. One day you will meet me in the ice world. Maybe either of us is kelled. Lives are born again.
Eskimos and polar bears can communicate with each other. They live together in the cycle of life and death.

I am an avid learner. I am fond of learning about ingenious discoveries made by remarkable people before our time. As I am not a genious like them, I am incapable of coming up with cool ideas or algorithms comparable to Public Key Encrypting System or Quick Sort. However, their great discoveries do give me a thrill and I really yearn for their talent.
This both broadens and deepens the practical debate and, in the most successful cases, leads to mutual understanding and a sense that the participants have done the best thing for all involved.

It is Japan's largest Internet bulletin board - the place where disgruntled employees leak information about their companies, journalists include tidbits they cannot get into the mainstream news media and the average salaryman attacks with ferocity and language unacceptable in daily life. Although our criterion of meaning has always been employed in practise, it has rarely been formulated in the past, and this is perhaps the only excuse for the attempts of so many philosophers to deny its feasibility.
A number of models have arisen that serve to organize psychosocial stressors into conceptual domains that are relevant to potential mechanisms of psychological effect.
There was nothing special about the evening, either for my wife or me. We had dined with the Smiths several times before. I had met him through one of my official jobs, and through him an interesting person.
What was in store for Hideyo Noguchi when he reached america? It was not the beaming smile of a pleasant lamd or a land of hope. I first got to know him around 1976, in the course of translating his new-classic saga, "Hino Tori". In Japan, he is known and revered as the "God" of manga, the man responsible more than anyone else for turning Japan into the comic book and animation capital of the world. But what was he like as a person?
He could hold a discussion on nearly any subject with nearly anyone, and if listening is the art of being a good conversationalist, he perfected it. There was never any chance to bocame bored with Tezuka, Because he was a bundle of curiousity.
In public, at least, he was always kind and gentle, with an engaging manner and a ready smile. He never talked down to anyone. Much to the irritation of those in charge of his schedule, after a public talk or appearance he could often oblige fans not just with an autograph but with a drawing of one of his characters. Sometimes Tezuka would privately grumble when things didn't go right, but he could also he remarkably forgiving.
Because they account for such a large section of the Japanese publishing market, there are manga tailored to every age and interest .One of the newest hits in the United States is the "LoveHina",a romantic comedy for young men ,notes Griepp.

"This is not a fad, this is a long-term cultural trend, " Griepp said.

EMERGING-MARKET BONDS have been hot for the past year as U.S. Treasury offerings dropped to their lowest rates in decades. That has been great news for countries from Brazil to Russia. Investors searching for higher yields grabbed up emerging-market bonds, so the average spread between them and U.S. Treasuries has fallen from some 700 basis points a year ago to 451 on Apr.21.

Once, on the way to a film festival in Canada, when it was my responsibility to help him get there, I became so engrossed in a conversation with him in the airport lobby that I didn't notice our airplane leaving the gate. He took it all in stride. He was a humanist at heart and well aware of the imperfections of his follow man. Tezuka's dynamism was legendary, and the legend was deserved. For much of his life he only slept four or five hours a night and still had enough energy and enthusiasm to run much younger people into the ground. Once, when visiting San Francisco, he began enjoying himself too much, and an editor had to be flown out from Japan to apply pressure on him. Potocol required the editor to use great tact with an older, famous artist and be very circumspect. He was a one-man dream fanctory. I miss him dearly.
Just before World War 1, there were anumber of terroist attacks on the United States forces in the Philippines by Muslim extremists. So General Pershing captureed 50 terrorists and had them tied to posts for execution. He then had his men bring in two pigs and slaughter them in front of the now horrified terrorists.Muslims datest pork because they believe pigs are filthy animals. I feel that instead of school trying to focus in a set routine of steps to get from step A to step B, to focus on applications and how to use them. Tests, I feel in both the U.S. and Japan, are probably a bit overrated. Personally I'm not the best for tests, I simply don't like to study for tests...and even for standardized tests, I never studied. This has had both good and bad effects. The bad effect is that I decided not to take the SAT/ACT (college entrance exam), and went to a community college first. I ended up having to take an exam anyways just to see how I placed in the community college. I do well on exams, generally, but I just don't agree with them. There are other, more efficient ways of displaying one's knowledge than through tests. It's somewhat sad though that no other institutions agree with me in this. hehe, you may be wondering now if I just do bad on tests and that's why I dislike taking them. In my college entrance exam (last standard test I took), I placed about 90+% in math of U.S. college students. I do well on tests, I just don't agree with them.
The lamb measures approximately 14 inches long and is fully jointed, with a turning head. He has delightfully shaped limbs with black cloth hooves, a little tail, glass eyes and stitched features. He also has a little squeaking mechanism (not quite a baa, more a plaintive bleat!) which works when he's tilted. He has an off-white coloured fur which was no doubt a lot lighter when he was new but which has aged to a greyish shade. There are also a few thin patches, particularly on his legs, most probably where a child has carried him around, but there are no holes or tears in the fabric. It feels as though he may be stuffed with straw, or similar.
When you firdt arrive, you'll probably go to your firast stopping place by taxi. Later, you may become a thrifty specialist in the working of the public transportation system of the city where you stay. But since there will be times when you will use taxis, better learn how. PAyment for taxis differs from city to city. some charge by metered mileage, as in New York. Others charge by zones,as in Washington.in some places, thenumber of persons who ride makes no difference; in others, extra people mean extra fare. Tipping is expected-fifteen to twenty-five cents for the average trip. すごく長いのですが、どなたか訳をよろしくお願いします。
take in stride take in stride Accept something as a matter of course, not allow something to interrupt or disturb one's routine. For example, There were bound to be setbacks but Jack took them in stride. This idiom alludes to a horse clearing an obstacle without checking its stride. [c. 1900]
These systems are needed to change the operation of the nervous system from a fairly relaxed, widely floating, openness at reswt or whatever it has been occupied with before, to a narrow state focussing on the acute situation at hand.
To them, eating or touching a pig, its meat, its blood, etc., is to be instantly barred from paradise (and those virgins)and doomed to hell. The soldiers then soaked their bullets in the pigs blood, and proceeded to execute 49 of the tterroists by firing squad. The soldiers then dug a big hole, dumped in the terrorist's bodies and covered then in pig blood, entrails, etc. They let the 50th man go.And for the next forty-two years, there was not a single Muslim extremist attack anywhere in the world.Maybe it is time for this segment of history to repeat itself, maybe in Iraq?

To make an object according to required specifications, the worker must have information on its precise shape and dimensions, special processes needed to make, materials to be used, and finish.
