I ran head on with a truck. The guy that I hit said, I was going 100. The truck pushed the hood of my car through my window, pushing me to the back of my Lexus SUV, next thing I know I woke up with an engine on my chest. I tripped out and pushed it off - 182 stitches on the right side of my temple and 70 stitches in my arm from pushing the engine off me. All I can remember was yelling “ Fuckkkkkkkk I’m not supposed to go like this “.

The weather is a neutral subject. Neutrality allows strangers to talk without worrying about offending each other. A stranger is not likely to joke about politics or religion because if the other person disagrees, an argument could follow.
Thanksgiving. I woke up at about eleven, and I walked out into the hallway in my pajamas―and there were two of my sister Debby's friends. We all laughed, but I was really embarrassed. In the afternoon, Dad said he wanted to see me in his and Mom's bedroom. I thought that I was in trouble or something, but he said that he was cleaning out his closet and that he wanted to give me one of his old cashmere sweaters and some ties. That was nice of him, although he kept holding the sweater up to my chest and then the ties up to the sweater and telling me which ties went with the sweater and which ones didn't, as if I couldn'tfigure it out myself. We had Thanksgiving dinner at Nana's. All of my aunts and uncles and cousins were there. When we were done with dinner, Debby and Timmy and I went into the kitchen to see Jean, the cook who's been with Nana for years. We said the same thing we say every Thanksgiving―the thing Mom taught us to say when we were little kids: “Thank you very much for a lovely dinner.” Then we all went home.
A shadow passed over his face. “Oh no,Watson,”he said. “I still have my cocaine-bottle.” Was he asking me for help? Was it still possible, then,to save him?Perhaps. In my heart I know only that my dear friend needed me,and that I failed him.
Special effects are hard work, as Engel knows from experience. It is he who creates the special effects in Hollywood that turn action movies like Godzilla into exciting spectacles.

I saw him lurch forward slightly, as if he was poised to rise up from his seat. I saw his lip start to shake, as if he was getting ready to mangle more scripture. Instead he sat back and closed his eyes softly, waiting, I guess, for the return of his good Christian sensibilities. He opened his eyes and then spoke in carefully calculated prose.

I have a favor to ask. Someone that I work with, who is a firefighter with Phil, would like to get a tattoo with either fireman or firefighter in Japanese. I was wondering if you could email both of those in Japanese script and let me know which is which. Whenever you get a chance would be great. He wants to be the first one on the department with the Japanese writing.

The old joke about Britain and the United States being divided by a common language was never clearly illustrated than when the late President Kennedy invented that phrase about ‘the new frontier’.
1.Britain and the United States being divided by a common language というのがどういうことを指しているのか、わかるようでわかりません。単にこの二国が大西洋を隔ててともに英語を使う国だということだと理解してよいですか。 2.that phrase about ‘the new frontier’がよくわかりません。
I think the last time I e-mailed we were just about to head on our 3 day whitsunday salining trip. Sailing the Whitsunday islands was just fabulous. There was about twenty of us on the ship. It was great a laugh, come to think of it half the ship was Irish. We did a bit of snorkelling but by the highlight by a longshot was Whitehaven beach. Apparently it is rated as one of the third nicest beaches in the world The sand was like talcum powder and the water were azure blue. Wow how descriptive I am.No, honestly it was just so beautiful. The nicest beach I have ever seen and the clearest water I have ever seen. One of the evenings we were just about to anchor and Maggie shouts hey to all aboard, submarine ahead only to later discover that it was actually a sand bar. Go on Maggie, hope new zealand is going well miss travelling with you. The night we finished our sailing trip eveyone from the boat went on a massive session. It was brill. We stayed in Airlie Beach a few extra nights in these little log cabins. It was cool until we realised that we had a possum in our bathroom. Thank god he only stayed there about a day. Then we discovered a lizard in our room and one evening an english guy and a dutch guy came to our rescue after hearing our screams when we spotted a cricket in your room. We are really just a bunch of scardy cats. But it was a laugh.

OPLAN 5027 is the US-ROK Combined Forces Command basic warplan. Under Operations Plan 5027 (CINCUNC/CFC OPLAN 5027), the United States plans to provide units to reinforce the Republic of Korea in the event of external armed attack. These units and their estimated arrival dates are listed in the Time Phased Force Deployment List (TPFDL), Appendix 6, to Annex A to CINCUNC/CFC OPLAN 5027. The TPFDL is updated biennially through U.S./ ROK agreements. CINCUNC/CFC OPLAN 5027 is distributed with a SECRET-U.S./ROK classification. New U.S. Strategy Will Use Navy for In-and-Out, Quick-Strike Warfare
Editor's Note: Anti-Americanism in both Koreas will prevent an Iraqi-style U.S. attack on North Korea. But U.S. dominion over the world's oceans enables a sea- based strategy of bombing attacks and quick, in-and-out transport of U.S. troops to stop the production of weapons of mass destruction. よろしくお願いします。

Most thugs in the club would not be caught dead with a "bottle of bub" in their hands.
More likely "bub" is (a) beer, because Young Einstein figured out the secret to putting bubbles in beer (carbonisation) and thugs like to have a BOTTLE of BUB in their hands, head bobbin' like hell yeah.
I'm living my dream, but there's always more mountains to climb. I wanna be able to play music and raising a family at the same time. I understand that there's a lot of problems and you gotta be careful who you tie your knots with... I think having dreams is necassary for a human to cope with everyday life. Lose that and you have absolut nothing to struggle for. Remember, it's not about reaching that goal you set up, it's the journey to that illusion that matters. Have dreams but live in the moment. 'Cause when you reach that goal you'll have another five goals to acomplish. I think it's a way of the human evolution to keep pushing mankind forward and never to settle down mentally. Keep on dreaming, Baby =) 長くてごめんなさい。ある人が夢を語ってくれたんですが、ちょっと難しくって・・・。 おねがいします。

It is difficult to figure out what sets us on a path to write one way or another. My lyrics are not always cast in stone and many times I've put throwaway lines on my albums, which is upsetting to me, but without the luxury of major record label money one does what they can do with the time they have.

After Airlie beach we took an overnight bus to Hervey Bay to do our trip to Fraser Island trip. The minute I arrived in the hostel I met Linda O Neill and it turned out that she was doing the trp on the same day. So we decided to do it in the same gang. Fraser was just brilliant. Oh by the way Fraser is the largest sand Island in the world so therefore we needed a four wheel drive to drive around the Island. I think we spent most of the time pushing it through the sand rather than driving it. Driving the four wheel drive was really cool. It was like driving down a sand motorway. We stopped off at lots of fab lakes and shipwrecks. The first night we pitched our tent in a place called Indian Head. Everyone camps there. Of course we had the casks of wine out. I think we visited all the camp sites we could possibly find. It was mad. If you wanted to do a number two off you had to go with your shovel and bury it once you finished because of the dingoes on the Island!!!! I know it sounds gross!!! I wanted to see a dingo but we did'nt see any. There was six irish, two english and 2 danish boys. After Fraser we headed to a place called Noosa. Really nice exclusive upmarket holiday town. The owners of the hostel did not know what to make of us. The first day I thought I lost my passport only to discover Jeanie had it. Another day we nearly lost one of their boggie boards and the best was all our underwear got stolen from the washing line!!!I wouldn't mind all our clothes were there too but no they our underwear was big time in demand.!!! We met up with a scottish guy and a northern Irish guy and had a good laugh with them. We also went to Australia Zoo. That was cool. Never got to meet Steve Irwin though. John Norrie I was only messing you when I said I did. Anyway I think I have seen enough animals to last me a lifetime.

We have supposed in later years that the town was not as all that, and we know that we magnified its ugliness because we looked upon it as the extension of the possessive, unloving, scornful, complacent foster mother Mrs. Placer, to whom, at the death of our parents within a month of each other, we were sent like Dickensian grotesqueries--cowardly, weak-stomached, given to tears, backward in school.
Today many Japanese companies have operations in the United States. Companies such as Sony,Toyota, and Honda are familiar names in American industry. To build assembly plants in the United States must have been a difficult decision. Japanese companies are aware of the advantages and disadvantages. There are many problems at home and abroad. Americans welcome the Japanese plants. At the same time,Americans have a“funny feeling.”It is a new idea for American workers. The United States has never been“occupied”before. American workers must learn how to please Japanese managers. Japanese management must learn how to deal with American workers. It is a new idea. No one knows how it will turn out. In 1905 Hofmann married Marie , a socialite from New Orleans, eleven years his senior. In 1933, Hofmann's marriage had been in decline. Hofmann's eye for a pretty girl had repeatedly brought him trouble at home. Once, he had been named as defendant in a law suit regarding a married woman, which caused much embarrassment. With the arrivals of their children, Marie opted to stay home with them, while Hofmann strenuously objected, wanting her with him on tour.
These new threats to US and global security necessitate a rethinking of the organizing principles of international order, say analysts. But America's new assertiveness in setting standards, determining threats and using force many find harmful to the fabric of the international community and political partnerships. This new preventive doctrine negates the sovereignty of other nations by insisting on the right of the US to interdict other nations in advance of an act of aggression. The doctrine announced by the US is based on perception, possibilities, something that might happen or could happen. It announces the right of America to take up arms against another. よろしくお願いします。
Technically, how did Pachmann play Chopin? In an interview published in The Musician (1907), He believed that in Chopin "all lies in the fingering," and, accordingly, worked assiduously to achieve a unique tone quality and legato in this music. "I do not use the first finger in playing passages where a delicate effect is needed," he explained. "The first finger is too heavy - too harsh. I use the middle finger instead. Then I get the quality of tone that I want.
Just as much as in a typed language when you have an interface and you know you're getting something that has the right interface but doesn't implement the right thing, or it throws an unexpected exception. You'll hopefully find that during testing.

And thus it was, in grief for our parents, that we came cringing to the dry Western town and to the house where she lived, a house in which the square, uncushioned furniture was cruel and the pictures on the walls were either dour and dier and the lodgers, who lived in the upper floors among shadowy wardrobes and chiffoniers, had come through in deportment.

His recording career was unusual. Hofmann was the first famous pianist ever to make a recording. In 1887, Edison, who had invented sound recording only ten years previously, invited the 10-year-old prodigy to his studio, where Josef made a few cylinders. Hofmann said that he had them until World War I, when his home in Berlin was destroyed by fire. An inventor as well as a pianist, the teen-age Hofmann was in constant communication with Edison, offering suggestions about improving the drive mechanism.

Is anyone even surprised that this kind of stuff would come from Japan? That whole country is like Bizarro world. They do everything we do, just in a really strange way. It reminds me of that scene in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" where they go near Toontown, and you can see clouds of smoke and yelling and fighting and all sorts of haywire shit happening above the horizon to signify the complete and total lunacy of the place. Japan is just like that. The whole world continuously scratches its head at the far east, then sits back and watches to see what wacky thing the Japanese will do next. I mean, I'm sure the culture is swell once you get past all the incest and pedophilia and giant robots and all, but after that--huh? Japan is super crazy place, 100 PERCENT!
The first phase of the war was fought between the Germans and the Herero (with a single Ovambo battle at Fort Namutoni near the Etosha Pan). It reached a climax when General Lother van Trotha defeated the main Herero army at the Battle of Waterburg and, taking no prisoners, drove them into the Kalahari, where most died.
Some fresh foods must be treated to kill any germs that may be in them. Milk is one of them. raw milk---milk just as it comes from milk-giving animals--- may be unsafe to drink. If the milk is heated and then cold, the germs are killed. The man who discovered this way of treating milk was a Frenchman, Louis Pasteur. The process is named after him. it is called "pasteurization."

I enjoyed my visit to Japan very much. People have more respect for each other than in the West. The lack of litter, vandalism, crime and graffiti was also very noticeable. In the UK we have a huge problem with youth crime and anti-social behaviour and the authorities do not seem to know what to do about it. I think the reason is lack of discipline and lack of respect. Children are brought up here now thinking that they have the right to do what they want, but without the attendent responsibilities. We need some of your famous Asian values here.

most people take surnames for granted, seldom pausing to think what they mean. some, like baker and short, have very obvious meanings; others, such as pratt and wray, do not appear to mean anything at all, and are accepted simply as names. but every surname had a meaning once, and it is worth while trying to find out what it was, because it may tell us something about a very remote ancestor, and furthermore, when all the regular english surnames are pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle, they make a picture of the life and times when they were first spoken.

Because this is only a beginning,we shall often state positions, counter-positions and examples, rather than offering clear-cut proce-dures and definitions, because at many points we believe our slight knowledge makes any formulation premature.
Commerce is buying and selling, or exchanging goods. Some countries can better produce one thing, and some another. By commerce, each can obtain the production of all.

In the 1950s the spread of affluence to the working class, and the consequent purchase of houses (instead of renting),the emergence of consumer durables such as washing machines, indicate that the better-off sections of the working class were joining the middle class, not only in terms of possessions, but also in terms of their values, patterns of behaviour and expectations for their children. 訳お願いします。

A few years ago, it was fashionable to speak of a generation gap, a division between young people and their elders. Parents complained that children did not show them proper respect, while children complained that their parents did not understand them at all. What had gone wrong? Why had the generation gap appeared?

The first day of April is known in England as April Fool's Day. On the cheerful anniversary by time-honoured custom any person, young or old, important or otherwise, may be made an 'April Fool'between the hours of mindnightand noon. Many of the tricks have been used so often that they have become traditional. One is to tell someone that there is something wrong with his clothes or appearance when in fact all is in order. This dates back to the 18th century at least. Another popular trick is to ask a person to come and deal urgently with an accident that has not occurred.

Phoebe: It was right after we were living together and you were driving me crazy, okay? You were really controlling and compulsive and shrill.
Monica: I'm still all those things!
Phoebe: You're also so generous and kind and scrappy!
Monica: (starts smiling) I am scrappy.
Phoebe: Exactly! Look, no matter what I tried to do, I couldn't keep you out of my life. Of all the people I have cut out, you were the only one who ever clawed her way back in.
Monica: It's because I'm scrappy.
Phoebe: Yeah, you are. And I'm so glad that you fought your way back in, because I don't know what I would do without you.

A number of different buttons were used over the years with no clearly defined transitions between one and the next. Older models were used up after new ones were already being attached during the manufacturing process. The button does not therefore give an exact indication of the date of creation. However, it does offer a collector a means of correlating Steiff products to a certain production period. The various types of buttons are illustrated with reference to a representative of the respective period in the summary below.

This discussion raises the possibility that factors such as economic inequality and relative deprivation may be related to crime rather than poverty itself. Poverty and economic inequality are quite different concepts, and both are different from the concept of relative deprivation. It Is therefore necessary to distinguish clearly between these three terms before continuing.

Gasoline is accepted as the most efficient and economical fuel for the automobile. Properly handled, it is a safe and reliable servant. But gasoline has a treacherous and deadly side! The following story is told as a warning. There was once a woman who dropped a bundle of gasoline-soaked clothing into her washing machine, lit a cigarette and turnedon the switch. Instantly, there was a violent explosion and a raging fire. She was rescued, but she had sufferedfirst-degree hurns over sixty percent of her body.

There are three kinds of book owners. The first has all the standard sets and best sellers---unread, untouched.(This misled individual owns wood-pulp and ink, not books.) The second has a great many books---a few of them read through, most of them dipped into, ut all of them as clean and shiny as the day they were bought. (This person would probably like to make books his own, but is restrained by a false respect for their physical appearance.) The third has a few books or many---every one of them dog-eared and worn-out by continual use, marked and scribbled in from front to black.(This man owns books.)

Practical English usage (604 would; 8 would and used to) Both "would" and "used to# can refer to repeated actions and events in the past, but only "used to" can refer to past states. Compare: -When we were children we would/used to go skating every winter. -I used to have an old Rolls-Royce.(BUT NOT I would have an...)
A practical English Grammar (162 used) 1 To express a discontinued habit or a past situation which contrasts with the present: -I used to smoke cigarettes; now I smoke a pipe. -He used to drink beer; now he drinks wine.
2 To express a past routine or pattern. Here we are not making a contrast between past and present; we are merely describing someone's routine during a certain period. Very often there is a succession of actions. "used to" here is replaceable by "would" (but "would" cannot replace "used to" for a discontinued habit etc. as in 1 above).
(230 Habits expressed by will, would) Would has a much wider use and can replace "used to" when we are describing a past routine: -On Sundays he used to/would get up early and go fishing. He used to/would spend the whole day by the river and in the evening used to/would come home with marvellous stories of the fish he had nearly caught. Note, however, that when used to expresses a discontinued habit, it cannot be replaced by would.

On the way, we were on a section of highway on which the speed limit wasn't marked. I assumed (and this still seems logical to me) that the speed limit was 65 mph, or at very least 60 mph, but apparently it was only 55 mph. And so I got pulled over and was given a speeding ticket.

After that we headed to Brisbane. We stayed there 2 nights. Wasn't to impressed with it but then again the weather started getting really bad as well. So it was probably that. We met up with Jeans friend Ian and went on a session and had a great laugh with him. Ian how are you getting on back at home. Are you happy to be back .
No,I don't think so,not if it meant having awful bull's glands popped into me.
Too marvellous. It's alright if you happen to be a specialist at something, then you're too concentrated to pay attention to all the other things going on. But,for the ordinary observer,it's too much.
I don't think that a single day has passed that I haven't thought of that moment, her hand holding mine. Maybe I think about it more than I should. But to me, it meant much more than just human hands touching. For no matter where life might lead us from there, I knew then that she loved me, and that she always would.

No clear dividing lines separate the different stages of biography. Modern society has few,if any,of those "rites of passage"which,in many other human societies, mark the thresh-olds between clearly defined stages in the individual's progress through life.
Young people in modern society are nevertheless frequently exhorted to "act their age,"while,at the same time, society is very ambiguous as to what this actually means.
I see no reason to live my life experiencing only the culture and nation I grew up in, when I can do so much more, in terms of both personal experience and human interaction in general.
It’s time to ‘let go’ and move on where one romance, creative project or issue connected to kids is concerned. You know the way forward ? so just head in that direction with your inimitable determination, as the November 9 puts the wind behind you. You have plenty of loving support from friends and associates at the start of the month especially, so whatever direction you decide you need to take, remember to ask for help, if you need it. Mars/Saturn makes it easier for you to do what you gotta do mid-month, to build your dream future. The second half of the month sees a definite change of pace, as the planets line up in Sagittarius, the part of your chart related to your secret self, and all things spooky. Getting in touch with your more spiritual side could give you the kick start you need. (This goes double if it’s exactly what you don’t feel like doing!) If there’s something you know to be true but which you’ve been having a hard time admitting to, you could find it easier to get up-front and personal about this private subject by the end of November, which could take a real weight off your shoulders. 長文ですみません…お願いします。

クマのプーさんの話で Best-Loved Winnie-the-pooh stories って話なんですが プーさんの持ち主の名前はChristpher Robinだそうです。 で以下の文がよくわかりません。。 When I first heard his name, I said, jist as you are going to say, "But I thought he was a boy?" 'So did I,' said Christpher Robin 'Then you can't call him Winnie?' 'I dont.' 'But you said --' 'He's Winnie-ther-Pooh. Don't you know what "ther" means?' 'Ah, yes, now I do,' I said quickly; and I hope you do too, because it is all the explanation you are going to get. Some were built more heavily and with more guns to make the dangerous voyage to the Mediterranean, some were built with large doors in the bow and stern to take on board Norwegian trees for shipment to Dutch timber markets, and some were built with narrow decks, so that when they were measured for capacity by toll collectors at the castle of Kronborg in the Sound between modern Denmark and Sweden, the results would understate what was on board.
