The anti-porn folks spew a lot of hot air denouncing smut on the Internet, from academic discourse on the sexual exploitation of women, to sermon suggestions about the evils of filth to support groups for recovering porn addicts.
But they haven't been able to offer anything but passive resistance to the multi-billion dollar industry that drives Internet traffic. Until now.
Enter a few Swedes who grew tired of sitting on their hands, watching the online smut factory grow in size and power. They created a tool that allows people with similar sentiments to create fake X-rated pages that use cloaking technology to redirect would-be pornophiles to their website, GET (some) REAL.
"Treasury of the World": Jeweled Arts of India in the Age of the Mughals The Mughal rulers of India (1526–1858) maintained a court that was renowned for its wealth, high culture, and love of precious objects, all of which were epitomized in the jeweled arts of the period. Drawn from the uniquely extensive holdings of The al-Sabah Collection in Kuwait, this dazzling display presents more than 300 works of the Mughal period, including jeweled items of personal adornment, princely weapons, carved jade and crystal bowls set with precious stones, spinels ("balas rubies") inscribed with the titles of their imperial owners, and other art-historically important pieces representing the period of several imperial reigns, as well as the sumptuous and refined courts of the Deccan, in the southern part of India. The exhibition will also be on view at the British Museum in London, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Art in Houston.
Georgia's Helmet Law In 1993, the state of Georgia passed a helmet law requiring all children under 16 to wear an approved bicycle helmet while riding a bike on public roads, sidewalks and bike paths. Children under age 1 riding as passengers on bikes must be carried in an infant sling or bike trailer. Children between the ages of 1 and 4 may be carried in an infant sling, bike trailer or child passenger bike seat.
FOR YOUNG CHILDREN IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: A child's concern: Children may ask, "What's happened in New York?"
Response: A mother of a five year old in New York City offered this explanation to her son: "Something very bad and sad happened in New York and in other cities. Two planes crashed into the big buildings downtown. Bad people took over two airplanes and crashed them into the World Trade buildings and many people died. Now many firemen, police officers, and doctors are trying to help all the people who got hurt. Police are also trying to find the bad people."
A child's concern: Children may be worried about mommy or daddy going to work. Children may be thinking, Will Dad's or Mom's office blow up? Or if their parents fly, children may be thinking, Will the plane be hijacked?
Response: Assure children that this kind of violent act almost never happens in the US It is shocking to of all of us, but most people are safe and will continue to be safe.
A mother is Washington DC offered the following to her sons:
"Your dad works downtown but he will be safe. He and his coworkers and the government are doing everything they can to make everyone safe."
A child's concern: Some children may ask, "Did children get hurt in the crashes or explosions?"
Response: Parents can say:
"Sadly, a few children may have been hurt. This is very sad. And we send our thoughts and prayers to the families of the children. But most American children are safe now."
Let children know that if they have any questions about being safe it is okay to talk about these questions and any feelings of fear or sadness.
FOR CHILDREN IN FOURTH GRADE AND OLDER: A child's concern: Older children might express the concern, "Why did this happen?"
Response: Parents can say: "We don't know exactly why this terrible act of violence has happened. We know that some people used the most extreme form of violence - murder of innocent civilians but we don't know their reasons for this act of terrorism. There can be no sane reason for doing this."
A child's concern: Older children might express the concern, "What does our government do to keep us safe from this kind of violence?"
Response: Parents can say:
"The army and the police are working to make us safer. They are working to find the people who did this. We must let people know that violence against people is not a way to solve problem ever."
A child's concern: Kids of all ages may feel fearful. They may not say it, but they may feel very scared and shaken.
Ask children how they are feeling. Let them communicate their feelings. Some children's expressions of feelings may seem inappropriate (For example, children tell such as jokes or saying, "It's not big deal") so it may take some time for some children them to get in touch with their true feelings and to express them. Be patient. But check in with your kids daily to see how they feel and to ask if they have any questions. This may need to continue over the next few weeks or months.

Hikaru was born in New York City but raised part-time in Tokyo. "When people ask me exactly how much time I spend in each country, I always tell them I have no idea," she says. "Because my parents have taken me back and forth ever since I was a baby." Her father Teruzane Utada is a producer and musician who now runs her management company. Her mother Keiko Fuji was a popular enka (Japanese ballad singer) in the 1970s who broke her fans' hearts by giving up her career and moving to the U.S. to find a little peace. ("I don't sing anymore," is all Fuji says now, smiling.) Hikaru says she got her start when she followed her parents into the studio and began to make recordings around age seven. ("No, younger!" shouts her father from nearby.) Like her mother, Hikaru plans to retire young—as early as 28—and perhaps pursue neuroscience. "I kind of see myself in a white coat in a lab, working till late evening in front of test tubes," she says. It's hard to imagine that Spears has a similar vision of her future.
I just read about Heidegger being a cardacrrying Nazi, memebership card number 312589. I was wondering if anyone knew of any photos of him wearing a Swastika armband.
Wagner was a notorious anti-Semite; it was one of the reasons that Nietzsche, who is commonly thought of as an anti-Semite but who was not, broke off his friendship with him. Wagner was politically active as well as artistically active. Wagner's daughter was married to Houston Stewart Chamberlain, from whom Hitler borrowed much of his "race theory."
Furthermore, in Mein Kampf, Hitler points in several places to Wagner as a model of German nationalism. In researching my forthcoming book on medieval symbolism during WWII, I read an Irish Times article that suggested that Hitler may have had an affair with one of Wagner's daughters or granddaughters. I'll see if I can find it.
the deal What would you do if you found yourself at night in an unfamiliar place, with no street lamps, no Tokyo Tower to orient you? You have an 18-kg pack on your back, sand seeping into your running shoes and a blistering ache that seizes your entire body after running through endless kilometers of Sahara dunes for 15 hours. Then your flashlight goes out. Welcome to the 14th annual Marathon des Sables!
Year after year, adventurers swarm from nearly 30 countries to run, walk and crawl in the 225 kilometer (140-mile) Marathon des Sables (MDS) in Morocco, which is touted as the toughest foot race in the world. During the first week in April this year, almost 600 competitors assembled to pit their bodies and determination against potentially violent sandstorms, blistering 46 °C heat, and towering sand dunes, carrying all the food and equipment they needed for the seven days across the unforgiving Sahara Desert in southern Morocco. Among the insane crusaders this year was Tokyo-based investment banker Robert Stein. 続く
Robbie Coltrane is anxious. "I've had visions of being chased by millions of children who thought I got it wrong," says Coltrane, the Scottish comic who plays the giant groundskeeper, Hagrid, in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. "They're chasing me up Fifth Avenue. 'There's the guy who ruined Hagrid! Let's get him!'"
WILL THERE BE A WW III? THE BACKGROUND When I get a chance to relax and I'm just in the right mood, I really enjoy listening to jazz music. And Glenn Miller is right at the top of my list. His music of course is from the 1940's and helped to define an era, the era of world war II. His music carries a very nostalgic sound that in the movies almost seemed to romanticize the time. I'm sure you can almost picture your favorite WWII movie with John Wayne or Henry Fonda or one of the other famous actors in an army barrack or USO show, cigarette in mouth and the faint sound of moonlight serenade softly playing in the background and all of the men with their green khakis on. I think that WWII was called the good war, but I don't see how because World War II was the most devastating and costliest war in all of human history. The history books say that it involved 110 million people from 61 countries, with a total financial cost of more than 1 trillion dollars. They also say that the cost to civilian and military lives was the death of about 55 million which does not include the 5 million Jews nor the 5 million others nor the 1 million little children killed in the Holocaust called Hitler's Final Solution. In that war though, it is surprising that the U.S. sustained a rather low amount of deaths when you consider the fact that we were the biggest contributor to the war in terms of money and second in terms of manpower just behind the USSR. As many people know, our role in that war did not officially occur until the day after we were bombed by the Japanese on Dec 7, 1941, although we had been unofficially contributing to the war effort since March of 41 with the appropriation of the Lend-Lease Act by Congress to the Allied Countries. By late Summer in 41 we were in a state of undeclared war with Germany as we began to station US Marines up in Iceland and authorized attack of any Axis war vessels. But it was not until Dec 11 1941, four days after the bombing that both Italy and Germany declared war on the U.S. so that we became officially at war against them. About a year later in November of 1942 we began to conduct joint efforts with the British against the forces of Field Marshall Erwin Rommel in North Africa. And by the late part of 1943 and early 44 the US military had conducted successful campaigns in Italy in places like Sicily, Salerno, Cassino and Anzio. While we were in North Africa in 42, a major turn of the war occurred when Hitler's army suffered a devastating loss up in Stalingrad where over 800,000 German soldiers died before the remainder of his 300,000 man Sixth German Army finally surrendered, which in part had to do with a lack of supplies and cold and casualties. Kursk was another great loss of resources and site for greatest tank battle in all of the war against Russia which Hitler called off in order to transfer some of his Panzer divisions into Italy in order to battle against the US and British military forces. This of course gave Russia a decisive advantage in Kursk. And then of course one of the most devastating blows came on D-Day June 6, 1944 when operation Overlord commanded by Omar Bradley hit the beaches of Normandy France with a German surrender by May of 1945. And that as we say is so much history.
How small the hole it, it cannot stop us from getting through. Came here to save you.Have something to tell you.
Can you hear us,Jessica? Where did you go?Where are you? Came here to pick you up.Need your accompaniment. Everything will vanish without trace, when the songs go through. Came here to flee with you.Into the silence.

How are you, everybody? It will be the new year soon. Let's see television show "the New Year's Eve song show" on New Year's Eve. Let's eat buckwheat noodles. Please give me a New Year's pocket money. Let's drink to new year.
I hate your guts. I hated you all my fucking life!!!! You can spend the rest of your miserable life thinking what I fucking mean. You goddamn son of a bitch!!!
An engine is defind simplyas a machine that converts heat energy to meachanical energy. Combustion is the act of burning. Internal means inside or enclosed. Thus an internal combustion engine is one in which the fuel burns inside;that is, burning take place within the same cylinder that produces energy to turn the crankshaft. In external combustion engines, such as steam engines, the combustion take place outside the engine. The external combustion engine requires a boiler to which heat is applied. This combustion causes water to boil to produce steam. The steam passes into the engine cylinder under pressure and forces the piston to move downward. With the internal combustion engine, the combustion takes place inside the cylinder and is directly responsible for forcing the piston to move downward. The transformation of heat energy to mechanical energy by the engine is based on a fundamental law of physics which states that gas will expand upon application of heat. The law also states when agas is compressed the temperature of the gas will increase. If the gas is confined with no outlet for expansion, then the pressure of the gas will be increased when heat is applied. In an engine, this pressure acts against the head of a piston, causing it to move downward. All internal combustion engines, whether gasoline or disel, are basically the same. They all rely on three things-air, fuel, and ignition. All are essential, and the engine will not operate if any one of them is missing.
I keep on hearing the police have caught me but they wont fix me just yet. I have laughed when they look so clever and talk about being on the right track. That joke about Leather Apron gave me real fits. I am down on whores and I shant quit ripping them till I do get buckled. Grand work the last job was. I gave the lady no time to squeal. How can they catch me now. I love my work and want to start again. You will soon hear of me with my funny little games. I saved some proper red stuff in a ginger beer bottle over the last job to write with but it went thick like glue and I cant use it. Red ink is fit enough I hope ha.ha. The next job I do I shall clip. The lady's ears off and send to the Police officers just for jolly wouldn't you. Keep this letter back till I do a bit more work then give it out straight. My knife's so nice and sharp I want to get to work right away if I get a chance.
