ちなみに今までロメロ・スペシャルの考案者はラウル・ロメロだと思っていたが、
どうも実際はリト・ロメロというルチャドールであるらしい。
来日経験はあるのだろうか？

やはりロメロ・スペシャルの考案者はリト・ロメロであるとか。

そして昭和30年に来日したラウル・ロメロが、
日本でロメロ・スペシャルを初公開したという事らしい。

リト・ロメロは1927年３月19日に、メヒコ・ハリスコ州アカティク郊外で生を受けた。
メヒコでデビューし、後に米テキサス地区へ転戦して数々のタイトルを取得した。

彼が考案したロメロ・スペシャル（吊り天井固め）は、
アレナ・コリセオの観衆から“La Tapatia”と名付けられた。
“La Tapatia”には「ハリスコ人」という意味があるらしい。

リト・ロメロ氏は本年１月17日に、ハリスコ州グアダラハラで心不全のため亡くなった。
享年74才。

「ロメロ・スペシャル」という名称だが、実は和製英語なのかもしれない？
英語圏における汎用表現は、“Inverted Surfboard”ないし“Bow and Arrow”、
或いは“La Tapatia”という事になるのだろうか。
そしてスペインではJesus Chaussonというレスラーが、
吊り天井を“El Patinete”と称して得意技にしていたようである。

しかし、スペインにもプロレスがあったのか。

ラウル・ロメロ（リト・ロメロ）によって考案された。

※「アンヘリート」は“小さな天使”の意

使い手は、マスカラス兄弟、故エル・ソリタリオ　など

"La Tapatia"はグアダラハラ市の女性の愛称らしい。
メヒコ一の美女であると言われるとか。
グアダラハラ市はハリスコ州の州都で、メヒコ第２の規模を誇る。
