Journalist jailed in Myawaddy for entering country illegally / from Bangkok Post

Burmese police have arrested a French news agency journalist in Myawaddy on suspicion
of sneaking into the country illegally from Tak to cover the election.
Thai security authorities in Tak identified the APF reporter as Tony Nakamato, 49.
He was arrested on the Burmese bank of the Moei River under the Thai-Burmese Friendship Bridge.
The Japanese journalist, who reportedly crossed the river on an inflatable tube, intended to cover
the election at poll booths in Myawaddy.
Burmese authorities took in the reporter for questioning and detained him at the Myawaddy police station.

"Tony Nakamoto"となっているのはおそらく"Toru Matsumoto"の間違いだが。。
でもこれが"Thai security authorities in Tak"（Takはミャンマー国境に接したタイの県）からの情報で、
日本側の情報でない事の証明でもある。
「日本人ジャーナリストがタイ-ミャンマー国境のモエイ川の川岸から入国しようとして
ミャンマー警察に拘束されたことをタイの警察が確認した」
ということをタイの新聞がタイの警察に取材して書いている。
Myawaddyの警察に拘束されていたんだから、またそこから近いタイ国境から外に出されるのは自然な話で、
わざわざベトナムくんだりまで移送してあげるはずがないんだがなー。
