>>4 It's happy for a Taiwanese to see that Japan welcomes former President Lee. Yes, I am also looking forward to have friends and to share opinions here. By the way, are you a Japanese?
We are anti-imperialist and socialist. We are very critical of the Beijing regime -- but as long as Taiwan is separated from the mainland we must be dependent on US/Jap imperialism. We are on the best tradition of Taiwan -- the anti-Japanese struggle in the colonial period, and the anti-KMT struggle under the white terrorist dictatorship.
Please support our anti-imperialist struggle for national unity and socialism,
No, politics has the material basis -- the corruption and brutality of the KMT come from its material basis -- ie semi-colonial capitalism. Chinese culture itself is the expression of the history of class society. Culture can be easily transformed in one or two generations, if the social basis is changed. This is why we are fighting for anti-imperialism and socialism.
Dear people in Taiwan, I do hope former President of ROC Lee Teng-Hui will come to Japan every six-month for his medical checkup in spite of poisonous and evil-minded disturbance from mainland China. We’re sick and tired of arrogant and oppressive interference in the domestic affairs from Red China. Mr. Lee's visa will be issued easily next time, I hope.
We are happy that Lee Teng-Hui is well received here in Japan. People who came to greet him at the airport, hotel and hospital did so voluntarily. Can you imagine whethert the same thing would happen if Lee Peng visits Japan ?
We hope that next time former President Lee can visit Kyoto, Osaka and Oku no hosomichi and tell us Japanese what he has in his mind.
It really depends on the issue. But generally speaking Japanese Gov. is quite friendly to Taiwan. We do not think of Taiwan is a province of China now a day.
Hi. i am a Japanese guy. Please let me tell you how emthusiastically we welcomed the former President Lee last month... i believe that he is a great statesman. By the way, may i ask you a question ? Frankly speaking, is the identity of 本省人 or 外省人 important to you ? i learned that there had been a huge difference btwn them in the past, but i would like to understand what today's youngsters feel actually about this affair. i'm sorry if it is embarrasing to you.
>>38 You are not embarrasing me at all. The identity of 本省人 and 外省人 is not really important to us. The only time that this issue will be brought up is during Election between the candidates. In our daily life, we don't ask people wheather you are 本省人 or 外省人. We get married and make friends with everyone that we like..right? After all..no matter 本省人 or 外省人...everyone born in taiwan is 台灣人??? Remember..only the politicians will bring up this issue.
>>40 I talked to several 外省人 and everyone said that Taiwan should not be independent because the Chinese communists will attack Taiwan once they declare independence. I then felt that their excuse was chicken and coward.
45>> I think Taiwanese knows little about korean culture. We are not a big fan of South Korea . Many of us are more likely to be 哈日族. (which means likes Japanese stuff alot)
>>46 Did you like to have racist American imperialism instead? Taiwan, or any other nations, was just a void just waiting to be filled. You'd get a running dog for some imperialism anyway.
>>台灣之子 or all people Is it easy to go to mainland? Do you have visa problem to get in mainland? Can chinese, i mean normal people, come to taiwan? How do you think if American army leave from Japan? are you scared?
>>49 Yes...it is quite easy for Taiwanese to go to Mainland China. Because tourists bring money to China...of course they are more than welcome. But Chinese people are not easy to come to Taiwan... in fact... It is difficult for Chinese people to get any visa. I don't think we will be scared if American army left Japan. Why?
