Magibon hello the Brahman and nice to meet you(*´∀`*). It knew Magibon for the first time by "Enjoy translation bulletin board" yesterday. It is lovely!!!! I want to see talked Magibon (´д`*)!
Hey everyone. It's been cold here lately, and the heat isn't turned on in my house yet. Even sitting at the computer, I'm bundled up in my winter coat. XD
Okey. This thread, Magibon4, is for your sake of learning japanese! マギボンの日本語の上達のために、みんなで、直してあげよう!

Enough of self-introduction, links to Japanese culture, or weather of the day. We have already seen them hundred times in the last 3 threads. If you want to learn languages, go to http://academy4.2ch.net/english/
This is Magibon's 4th thread. We all know she is getting tired of coming here everyday. It's time to change the subject, something deeper. Let me begin with a question, a question which has long been regarded as taboo.
hi magi! i like sushi and sukiyaki very much! i wanna eat sushi and sukiyaki everyday! i like japanese food very much! by the way what kind of movie do u like? i like action movie. i like T2 very much!
Do you guys have the same TV as we do? There's a new show on called Heroes. I missed the first episode, but thankfully they put it on their website. I just watched it tonight, and I actually thought of you guys because there are some parts that take place in Japan, with Japanese being spoken. Have you guys seen it, or is it not on TV there?
http://www.nbc.com/ Under the little box that says "Heroes Premier" you can click on Play Full Episode, and after a brief commercial you can make it Full Screen. It is mostly English, but I think it might still be interesting if you want it to be. ^__^
The second episode is on TV tomorrow. I wonder if they will put all of them online?
>>62 Only 5 or 6 TV channels are available in average Japanese houses. It's been like this for 30 years. The only difference is they are now HDTV. I think people are quite satisfied with those basic channels, because not many people pay extra $ for cable or satellite here. I like watching dramas on AXN. LOST is my favorite but other dramas from USA are great too.

Autumn foods here are apples and pumpkins, and things with spices and nuts. I love apples. This is the time of year when apple cider becomes available. My mom and I are baking an apple pie today. ^__^ >>781 The Pennsylvania Dutch settled here in the early 1700's. Usually, the word "Dutch" refers to people from the Netherlands, but in this case it's from an old English word that basically meant "People who speak German." Pennsylvania Dutch has its own language! But, it is not spoken by many people these days. :( Today, there aren't as many Pennsylvania Dutch left. Many are Amish. Do you know of those people? They are extremely old-fashioned. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lancaster_County_Amish_03.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lancaster_County_Amish_Crop.JPG >>782 Why do you think that's hiroyuki? Isn't it anonymous? >>783 Does he make posts?
it seems he revenged inoccent people. amish people live in small world. so it is easy to be consanguineous marriage, i think. one hundred eighy thousand amish exist in America, wooao.
>>107 This is a sad news, but to be honest I wouldn't really cared if I didn't know you. It would have been just another disaster half a world away. Now that I know somebody from Pennsylvania, thanks to YouTube, I watch this news more than any other. One thing I don't understand is this guy actually had a life. He had a wife and children. Whatever had happened 20 years ago, he must have been a happy father until yesterday.
>>107 .........I cannot say anything.I pray that it calm down Magibon.
>>112 It was unveiled his manifesto that the North Korea government carried out nuclear test. Peace in Japan will collapse if the nuclear test is really done.
We live in the dangerous world. Still, we live strongly and will live.
Even “Christianity when the right the cheek is hit, to produce the cheek the left which is the doctrine? Europe or American what how becoming by mistake only such a slaughter slaughter nation, the it is probably will be?
i think authority spread LSD over the staets to cover up thier mistake of new conspiracy. same as 70s authority spreaded LSD over the states to cover up vietnum war mistake. so hippie culture ditinguished, while vietnum scar cured.
>>151 Hello. Yes,If the nuclear test is done, the U.S.Army might pinpoint bomb nuclear facilities in North Korea. Because North Korea is belligerent and pride a high country, North Korea will attack U.S. bases in the neighboring country.
Peace in east Asia including Japan collapses........
>>164 I have never dyed my hair and don't really want to, because I would feel like I was hurting it. XD My hair changes color naturally with the seasons though. Sometimes in the Summer, it almost looks blonde. It also seems reddish in certain lighting.
>>165 I think it's just because Maggie and Meggy are nicknames and Meggy also became Peggy. There could be more to it though.
>>166 I've thought about that, but I'd have to take my computer outside to use the webcam... :S
>>167 I think you're bending the truth, but you're a sweetheart. XD
>>168 I see it's hard to bring PC to outside. Well I'm interested in how you enjoy Japanese things. How about show us you listening/singing to J-Pop, watching for J-Drama or YouTube clips in your room?
I tried to make a video once of the Japanese magazines I like but I ended up looking at them the whole time instead of showing them.
I have a really old digital camera, and it doesn't take video. It takes bad pictures, too. I'd like to get a new one but I don't have the money right now.
Talk to you all soon. ^_^ I really should try typing in Japanese more...
>>175 We do the same thing, then. ^_^ That is a remarkable offer, but I couldn't ask for or accept donations for a camera. I will hopefully be able to buy one in a few months, maybe.
>>176 アメリカのコメディアンです。 アジア人の印象 して。 視聴者が投書を書いた :「である深刻な侮辱」。 コメディアン、「そう。 謝罪は私の放送の時に、ちょっと大阪のTV」。 可笑しいクリップでした。 コメディアン : 「私はまだ外国文化を尊重することを学んでいる」。 皮肉。 I hope that was a little understandable, and am very sorry about the poor Japanese.
>>177 I've never seen those people. They did well, but I like W (Double U) better. ^__^
>>182 Japanese shows like to make celebrities do embarassing things, it seems. It makes for good entertainment. ^_^ >>187 Did that really happen?
I was wondering if you guys could help me write a fanmail to Komatsu san? She answers questions in her ★こまっChanに聞けのコーナー★ but has never answered one of mine. I think it might be because my Japanese is bad.
These are some of the questions I would like to ask. If someone could please help me with wording one or two in Japanese, I would be very grateful.:
Did you sing the song "Cross My Heart," from your Moon Doll DVD? Do you get to keep the clothes you model? Do you have any allergies? Are your ears pierced? I know you don't like the cold, but what about the snow? Have you finished filming the movie with Matsumoto Jun? When will we see it? Have you ever had any surgeries? Do you have many foreign fans? Is there an address to send a gift?
There are so many more questions I want to ask, too. XD I will be happy if she answers even one of my questions, because I will know she saw my email! ^_^
I'll be around through out the day. Talk to you all soon. ^_^
Do you have any allergies? あなたは何かアレルギーをもっていますか? Are your ears pierced? あなたは耳にピアスの穴を開けていますか? I know you don't like the cold, but what about the snow? わたしは、あなたが寒いのが嫌いだと知っています。しかし雪についてはどう思いますか?
>>192 I don't think she replies to her fanmail. Instead, she answers the questions in her blog. I always try to write her in Japanese, but I am not skilled.
I will send that sentence and link her to this thread and my YouTube channel though! ^_^ Though, I doubt she will click...
I think she does not have many fans. She read all fanmail. If she doesnot recognize you are foreigner, she feel your mail creepy, and delete in a second. So you must show you are American girl in first line.
She is not popular in Japan. Maybe she does not believe she has American fans. Or she is confused how to treat you. Or maybe agency stuff reject spam mail before she read them. You had better send real fan letter to her Agency. I believe in she will respond it if she recognize you.
Send YouTube address with questions in Japanese. I think she will recognize you as Magibon. When you get reply from Ayaka tell us.Because We're not VIP member.>< You'd bettertell her about this thread later not now. Good Luck! See you.^^
There are other Americans who like her, but I wonder if she know?
She asked what flowers her fans like, and what their favorite seasons are. I have no idea how to say I like lillies, and my middle name (Lillian/Ririan) is named for lillies. I can say 秋 は好き though. ^_^
I forgot about this question: Is Komatsu Ayaka a stage name?
Maybe she wouldn't like that one though...
Thank you all so much! You have been more helpful than I could have hoped for! \^__^/
Best way to send letters is find correct post. But Her agency is Amuse. You can send fan letter there. Amuse is quite big agency, so it takes time her to get fanletter though.
>>223 It is possible that Komatsu doesn't have a computer.
It wasn't the computers that generalized the Internet in Japan. It was cellphones. Many Japanese websites also provide cellphone friendly pages. So basically you don't need a computer unless you have anything solid to write, read, or watch.
That was by far the biggest ketchup bottle I have ever seen. But I don't get it. Which part is misadventure? That macaroni looks good. I don't even remember if it was okay to put some ketchup on macaroni. lol
Hey everyone. ^_^ I'm so tired. I started staying up all night again... I'm going to bed shortly, but since it's evening there I thought I'd post. What do you guys think about the acquisition of YouTube by Google? I hope it doesn't turn into a big advertisement site.
>>241 Hello. The copyright contents are included in your video. There is a possibility that the account is erased, too. We will recommend a preliminary account to be taken.
>>241 YouTube was known to be run by only 26 employees. Its HQ is located on the 2nd floor of a pizzaria and Japanese restaurant. What's good about YouTube is its underground atmosphere. I hope it will not changed, but it will.
Anyway, they made something worth $1.6 billion in just 2 years. They should be proud of it.
>>262 Is that true? >>264 Does this mean the background on my YouTube channel? >>265 She hasn't answered questions yet. I still have hope that I'll see one of mine answered. Thanks again for helping me everyone! ^_^ >>266 I'm glad you think so. I'll pass the sentiment along to FreeWingz. : ) >>267 I have heard that she is from Pennsylvania, but she never mentioned it to me. I wonder...
I almost have enough footage for another Nothingness video. A little more, and then I can put it together nicely and choose music. I wonder if people will still be interested?
>>268 Because you are a beautiful woman, all are interesting. However, please note the copyright infringement. The activity of the copyright protection mechanism of Japan is active recently.
Please try to enjoy the videos without worrying that they will be taken down. If they do get taken down, I will still be around, I promise! ^_~
As for now, I haven't gotten any warnings, and you know I am not using entire songs. I am using samples, and always crediting (plugging) the singer, because I am trying to get more people to purchase the music. It is my way of supporting the artists I like! ^_^
>>293 Hi.Long time no see. You seemed to be tired for a moment. An energetic smile seeing suits you;) Take care of your health.Thank you for your video!!
>>293 Thank you for uploading。 You are so beautiful! I see you carefully placed your best shot in the center of the video so that it shows up as a preview image.
I'm really glad you guys liked it! Every time I put out a video, I worry that everyone will say it's not as good as the others. >>300 Haha, that's so cute! ^_^ I saved it.
That Magibon website won't work for me, but it might be from a setting I made on YouTube.
A LOT of people ask me if I am part Japanese. I am not, but I watch so many Japanese shows and I look at Japanese magazines, and I just really feel like Japan is a part of me now, which is why I really want to visit, and it makes me so happy when people think I am part Japanese. Maybe I'm secretly adopted or was switched at birth or something? XD
I have never seen Nana, but I have heard of it. I'll give it a watch. : )
Mr.KG acts a good man and a bad. Well done. But it is not shame you are a third generation zainichi. You must be proud of it. Your brother Mr.Live must be as well. Now your family is very rich. I can see that on your profile pic at your dad's office. 314 315 320 321 322

Hey. Thanks everyone for all the interesting links, kind words, and shift_jis art. I've been feeling a little under the weather (not feeling good), but I'm OK. I hope you are all doing well too. ^__^

I am still not feeling well today. : (
I just ate some rice with chicken gravy, so I feel a little better. I've been eating to much junkfood lately. XD My mother and I bake a lot, so we always have cookies and cake, and I eat too much of that stuff. I drinka lot of water though, and try to get my exercise... I know, it's still not good. ^_^'

I just watched a Drama called Nemureru Mori, and now I am watching Nobuta wo Produce. So far, it is pretty good. Nemureru Mori was OK, but the end was weird. Has anyone here seen it?

>>421 Hello. We dont have Trick-or-Treat. Halloween doesn't celebrate so much in Japan though is known. This period,The sale is done in the confectionery.
I see, I see. So, do you wear costumes at all then? I have seen Halloween costumes in some Dorama.
I was surprised to learn that Halloween was an Irish New Years celebration and is similar to Asian New Years celebrations. Pumpkins are made into lanterns to guide and welcome the spirits of ancestors, and ward off evil spirits. Some religious people don't celebrate Halloween because they say it is Satan's holiday, but they don't know the real history of Halloween.
Hi Mahibon!! I didn't know that-Halloween was an Irish New Years celebration- I have memory of Halloween just only egg's husks & white powder on my face.
>>434 When foreigners see that Yatta video, they think all Japanese people are crazy! There are "gaijin tarento" in Japan, and sometimes they act funny and Japanese people think that foreigners are clowns in some ways. Americans do that, too. It is not done with a bad heart, usually.
>>435 Westerners don't use (W) when we type. I learned it from you guys! ^_^ I am glad that it was natural. I am learning a little bit how to make sentences, and I let the machine translate the words.
>>421 hi magibon , did you stop water? lol crazy holloween in train, I m gonna introduce this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bqrl3sNv5Uc take a look some movie there. forigner living in Japan and their Japanses fools get together and break into JR Loop train ,play hanky panky with impersonating some character for a while on halloween day night, this incident was pick up by some paper and Tv news. they are annoying other passenger, but funny party.indeed I wonder if they do this week...would someone know of the plan, hehehe
>>436 Hi,Magibon san. I think it is good for you to use the translation site and to write the word of Japan. Without the translation site sooner or later You come to be able to write Japanese. You are smart lady I know.
Komatsu might have been surprised at your from the United States writing. The idol in Japan might be not accustomed to writing from the fan of the foreign country.
Hey everyone. It's so cold! It's like Winter already.
I only have 2 episodes of Nobuta wo Produce left to watch. I don't want it to be over! But, it's getting really good. Japan produces some amazing Doramas.
An important thing had been forgotten!! 大事な事を忘れていた!! There is a Japanese movie that it wants you to see by all means in magibon.
僕の大好きな人、takeshi kitano の映画でkikujiroです。
フランスやドイツでは絶賛されましたが、アメリカ人はアメリカ映画しか観ないのでダメでした。 Because the United States saw only an American movie, it was not good though had been spoken very highly in France and Germany.
It is Kitano where the gold prize was taken by Venice Film Festival.
>>479 Please ignore them. They never post anything useful. Those kind of fags are called 中坊 ("chubo" meaning tyke) or 厨房 (a homonym of 中坊) on 2 channel. Only chubos reply to chubo.
Hi, Magibon, How are you doing? Macaroni video reminds me you eat ramen with ketchup.(^^; I liked cool & smooth edit on Nothingness 6, I enjoy many kawaii Magibon.(*^ー゚)b

Hi guys. I am using a friend's computer right now to let you know that I don't know when I will have the internet for my computer again. It may be awhile before I can come here or post a new video. I will try to use friends' computers when I can. :(
As a hobby, I write a little bit. I mostly write in my own notebooks. I like to write my thoughts, and short essays. I also write poetry, but not very often. My writing is not very interesting! ^_^'
>>557 Though it's not my first language I always thought your posts are very well written and thoughtful. Please feel free to post some of your writings here :)
Too bad you don't have your website so we can read your writings. (Or, maybe you do, we never know..) It's about time to cybersquat www.magibon.com for future use, isn't it?
Because you asked to see a poem written by me, I just made a new one espescially for this thread. ^__^
It is not very good, though. I wrote it quickly, and It's very childish. So, I'm sorry! ^_^'

It is strange for me to say this, but I'm starting to not like many of the other foreigners on 2ch. I have been posting in the thread to help people learn English, and there are some very annoying Westerners there.
If there are foreigners besides me in this thread, I wasn't talking about you. : )
It is made not to play a trick by the ID display. It doesn't indicate it as long as the mischief writing is not done though IP is recorded. The access prohibition might be done if there is an awful writing. You use it freely basically please. http://7ch.8m.net/

But please don't be offended if people don't seem to listen to you. They probably don't know about you at all. You are just another コテハン (those who chose to wear a screen name on 2ch) to them.
There are some foreigners in this bulletin board. Six people were only in my knowing. Of course, there is a person who has not come any longer either. There were France, China, the United States, Germany, and a South Korean.
I am not rich man. It is a movie in Japan and there is the one named Casha n. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casshan Mr. Kiriya of the husband of Utada was a supervisor.
His image is beautiful. However, when I am made to say, the description of man's feelings is lacked. Even if CG is beautiful, it is not good at work that doesn't draw man itself.
A true friend is one who is concerned about what you are becoming, who sees beyond the present relationship, and who cares deeply about you as a whole person. That's what a friend is for, when your lost in darkness and searching for the light, to help you through those lonely nights, when everything around you fails just hold out your hand, and i'll come running, that's what a friend is for.
>>667 It is said Akanishi has gone to Los Angeles in the name of education without notice. He must have had something to run from. I'm surprised to hear that they have fans in America.

>>677 I don't know if I had anything like that. I'll have to ask my mom. XD >>682 Thanks. ^_~ >>683 Wow, I thought that stuff didn't happen in that much in Japan. Did you keep it locked up? : (
Old Japan was peaceful. The public peace of Japan deteriorated in the last few years. Especially, it has worsened since the number of Chinese and South Korean increases. It is very regrettable.
I have sometimes heard that when a foreigner commits a crime in Japan, the news reports it, but when a Japanese person commits a crime, it is ignored. Is that true, or is it something said by people who hate Japan?
It's unture , Name of suspect is announced when they are arrested. sometimes it gave rise to dispute about announcement of the suspect's name before prosecution. in case of forigner, their name would be reported as long as the suspect is caught,or be wanted, some case of Korean resident who using Japanese name (most of them make blief Japanese for aboiding discrimnation),they are announced as Japanese name when they commit crime. >>688 http://www.japantoday.com/
The stories I've heard said that it's untrue that Japan has a low crime rate, just that most of the crimes aren't reported. But, that if a foriegner commits a crime, it is talked about all over the news. I thought that seemed made up, but many people said it, so I wasn't sure.
http://www.jref.com/society/foreign_crime_in_japan.shtml take a look this report, all you wanted know is shown. the crime rate of each foreigner living Japan are declared proportionally to that of Japanese. The rate of Chinese and Brazilian is higher than that of Japanese, but reader should be careful to examine the data on the point , if the kind of crime is offence or real crime just like a robbery and murder. Put on your Bookmark http://www.jref.com/ All about Japan here's data clasifed by tyoe of crime released from National Police agency http://www.npa.go.jp/toukei/keiji25/H16_02.pdf#search='robbery'
I used to be a bullied child and never liked schools of any sort.
Now that I'm a college student, other students are nice to me at least but I feel totally alone. They would say hi to me, I say hi, and that's it. I have never had a girlfriend. I have never got invited to a goukon (a kind of party where girls and guys get together) either.
You guys can laugh at me but that's how my life has been. By the way, I learned English solely from textbooks thanks to 大学入試攻略 基礎徹底そこが知りたい英文法(駿台文庫). To me, life just sucks in general.
.. Well, I'm sorry about bitching. I won't do this again. Thank you for staying with us Magibon.
My father is a president. The elder brother also revives another company and it succeeds.
Because the foreigner lives in Japan as for crimes by foreigners, occurring is natural.
It is common sense in the world that the foreigner commits the crime.
I am Korean residents in Japan.
Is magibon hearing, "Does the Japanese fly over the sky?" on this bulletin board foolish when writing, "The Japanese can fly over the sky" in material of Japan?
Why do you fight by the minority? It is wrong to attack the person because life is painful. Because I am not affluent, uneasiness to the future. Your feelings are understood a little.
...a good child you.. ・・・ Japanese economy already however is checkmated, and gaining power the antiforeign feeling from law of the jungle is proof that the mind is poor cooperating or happily. It will keep being mass-produced in the future, and the child of such ruining shifts from the suicide idea to the attack to the society when stimulating and is good.
However, savings only of my living are finished, and I who is the foreign nationality will tell the story that ruining your future darkens. 。。
The child hangs 30 million alone. The life to the school uniform is from a babies's wear to exercising for 10 years ..you.. ..free.. and so-called normal person lives as for the child. Is it about 50 million in two people?
Because then, it was estimated that those who committed suicide were 30,000 people every year, and because 1.2 million people died of accident dying of sickness etc. by about 1.1 million people every year, birthrate became Japan in the population decrease societyThose who fail the suicide are 60,000 people because those who attempt committing suicide are effective in the twice every year. 。。
Why are the marriage and the child necessary for the life?Does the patriotism to Japan make me happy? The retirement age is 60 years old though there are as many as 80 year life. The annual income is four million.
Well, why do you think so though wander the story though think of "It is scary" etc. as for taking the shape and paving? Are you really scary?Because cannot you damage it because it even dies?
I wonder, whether it is "It is scary" from "Taking the shape and paving are scared". 。。Is it what the country taught?
Patriot who sticks to me. Does you be come to be able to work by Japanese economy's reviving if there is no Japan lives?
The reality of work waits in you who will go into the workforce in the future on ten hours a day and five work in the week if Japan lives disappears no matter how I become it. Even if you shout frankly speaking, ..it is.. Ca of anything person in question slave class. Let's happily do as South Korea-Japan friendship ^ North Korea.
above long sentence is kind of a jerking off of a minor girl lover oyaji(old man) wrote a damn things about pessimistic view of his life and economy in future japan. he lacks someting sense of humor, and keep on writing to get rid of his frustration brought by his birth as korean. and there's no reson why we have to get along with a sort of peronal agony...It 's nothing to do with magibon and her friends talking here.
Iremona (3 months ago) the words "mi amigo" and "si" are in spanish, right? (Reply) ddseraphic (2 months ago) No, in Japanese. (Reply) Iremona (2 months ago) oh, I thought it was spanish because " mi amigo" in spanish means "my friend" too. And "si" means "yes" Thank you for let me know that it was in japanese in the song :) I don't know so much of japanese, so I'm sorry. (Reply) ddseraphic (2 months ago) Oh, well it definitely means 'my friend' and 'yes' but the karaoke script would have "Katakana" which is a foreign word alphabet in Japanese.. so you wouldn't be able to tell .. they probably put Si, Love, You and words like that in English but.. still slightly confusing...! (Reply)
So you all know, I'm still around. I've been taking a break from making videos, but I have recorded a few clips. I don't know if I'll put them together or not, or what song to use... I'm out of inspiration at the moment. I should wait until making a video feels good, huh?
In any case, I hope you are all doing well. See you. ^_^
>>879 La vida de Quiroga, signada por la tragedia, los accidentes de caza y los suicidios, culminó por decisión propia, al beber voluntariamente un vaso de cianuro en un hospital porteño a los años de edad?
magi, please believe it, and remember it, all the japanese, and the korean japanese (maybe),in this thread, really love you, really really love you, in fact.
And i hope you make us a ladder of happiness of your life, and that you let us be happy by achiving your aim and purpose of your life.
>>924 Hi, Magibon. This thread is hitting 1,000 soon. If you want to create the next thread by yourself, please go ahead. Otherwise somebody around >>950 will do.
>>931 Thanks for the quick answer.^_^ I should learn, though... >>932 In Japan, it's too cold? It is supposed to be cold here tomorrow, but lately it's been twice as warm as what is normal for Autumn. It was nice while it lasted! ^_^'
>>948 I was lucky enough to get my hands on a PS3. I have been playing it all the time. It's so addictive. People were fighting over them when they went on sale here. I don't remember if it was Nintendo Wii but I heard there was even a shooting incident at a waiting line in the US(?) I hope nobody was hurt.
Do you play computer games? (Not so much, I guess)
>>952 Wow! I've heard a lot about the PS3. It's waaaay too expensive for me! I saw some videos about it online, and it looks really high tech. That's so cool that you got one. ^__^ I also heard that because there is a limited number being sold at first, people are buying them and selling on eBay for a big profit. The shooting was over a PS3. Two men with guns tried to mug someone who had just bought one. The man wouldn't give it to them and was shot, but he is doing well. Actually, people are angry at manufacturers and retailers for causing all of this commotion, because it's very dangerous and greedy.
Actually, I love games, but I don't have many. We have older video game systems, like N64 and Gamecube, and I think an original Nintendo and Sega Genesis somewhere around here. I don't get games much, because they're expensive, and renting is no good for today's long games.
There are number of dedicated threads where people report those scams and attack them by bidding 999 million yen and not buying it, just to close sales.
By the way, the legendary Nintendo Entertainment System was known as "Famicom" in Japan. It stands for Family Computer because it brings folks together in the family room. Very Japanese-English eh?
>>960 Yes, very. I remember hearing that name somewhere. How can you write "Famicom" in Japanese? There's no syllable for an "m" by iteself, is there? Does it look like "Famicon?"
>>961 You are right. Actually I was torn between "Famicom" and "Famicon" when I wrote >>960. Famicom just seemed to make more sense in that context. In native Japanese it was called ファミリーコンピュータ or ファミコン in short. So "Famicon" would be more accurate word for the NES. Sorry!
Though there is no syllable for an "m", ム(mu) can be used when it appears at the end of a word. For example, Eminem is known as エミネム here. The NES would have been spelled ファミコム if it really were Famicom.
That's a big ketchup bottle! Or it may be your hand that is small. I don't think any non-Japanese user will understand what this video is about though. Do they sell Kikkoman in Pennsylvania too?
>>976 Please learn more Japanese and come to Japan. You are looks that accept easily to the Japanese though you are a foreigner. Your style is also good. You are surely popular when coming to Japan.
>>977 Trust me, it's my dream to visit Japan. I've loved Japan for so long now. It makes me feel very good that you think I'd be relatively accepted. Thank you for that comment. >>978 Haha, thanks. ^_^'
Magibon, have you ever been talked by a stranger who recognized you as MRirian on the street? It says nearly 40,000 people have read your profile. You must be getting popular in your home town too. How about your friends? Do they know that you are a YouTube celeb?
>>982 Haha, hey. ^_~ Good night. >>983 As far as I know, no one in my town knows I have videos on YouTube. That even includes my family. I've mentioned it casually to my mom, but she hasn't seen them. I've never had a stranger recognize me. Is 40,000 really a lot?
I think it is quite an accomplishment to get 40K channel views on YouTube. You should be proud of it. Too bad you are not noticed there. But I also have a feeling that you may not want to be that popular either.
#If I had my videos on YouTube I wouldn't tell my mom about it!
I'm relieved you all seem to like the video. Every time I make one, I worry that it is bad.
>>986 私はそれを吐き出しました!それは嫌でした! >>988 I mention it sometimes because I don't want it to be like I'm hiding it. But, I don't make a big deal about it. >>989 そうですか? ...驚くべき物語。(^_^')
Thank you very much for telling me what you thought about the video, everyone. I want to put together another Nothingness, but there is a clip that I can't decide if I want to use.
>>991 Believe me, we will love your new Nothingness video including the clip you seem to be worried. And you can replace the video later if you really want, you know.
We have one or two holidays almost every month. Instead, you can't really take days off when you want. Legally you have a right to do so but in reality you can't. So everybody goes to the Tokyo Disneyland on the same days. It's one of the things this country needs to be improved.
>>992 Of course my family's having Thanksgiving dinner! ^__^ KFC? You can't have fried chicken on Thanksgiving!!!
>>993 Thanks. I think I won't use that clip though. Maybe some other time. But, the Nothingness will be boring. I'll have to do another clip or two, I think. On Dramas, they often show characters taking the day off from the office. But, I only notice this with females. Also, the females often leave work early and such, while males stay late a lot and even sleep in the office sometimes. Is that how it is in reality, or just how they make it look on TV?
>>994 Yes it's real. Companies know those office ladies (another Japanese-English) will leave the company sooner or later when they get married. So the companies don't usually put them into the main career track in the first place. Some say this is a gender discrimination, but it gives females freedom from the office. On the other hand, males work hard to demonstrate loyalty to the company to attain promotion. As a result, they earn more wages and less lives. I don't know which life is happier.
Wouldn't it depend on if you loved your job? I want to devote myself to my work someday, but I think it is wrong to do that if it costs you your happiness. If you have children, I also think it is important to be there for them, but also to set a good example as a hard worker. So, I guess a balance is necessary?
