The new contract was signed in Milan on Wednesday, following months of negotiation and rumour. The fundamentals of the agreement were agreed in December, but in a statement Infront confirmed that it has guaranteed the league a minimum revenue of é5.94 billion (US$8.28 billion) for the next six seasons. AS previously reported, the contract includes an option to extend the agreement for a further three seasons, until 2020/21. Infont will now begin work on preparing the media packages for the domestic rights to Serie A, the TIM Cup and TIM Supercup, covering the 2015/16 to 2017/18 seasons. Infront has sold Serie A media rights in Italy since agreeing an initial six-year deal in 2009. That agreement, worth US$6.9 billion in total to the league, had been due to expire at the end of the 2015/16 season, but the final year of the deal has now been superseded by the new contract. http://www.goal.com/en-ke/news/4631/soccerex/2014/05/08/4805786/infront-and-serie-a-confirms-billion-dollar-renewal
