Chievo make Yanagisawa offer

SERIE A side Chievo have sent a formal offer to Kashima Antlers
to take star player Atsushi Yanagisawa on a year's loan.
The Italian club are known admirers of the 25-year-old striker, and
recently sent an official to watch Yanagisawa play for Antlers
against FC Tokyo.
Negotiations are reported to be in the early stages, although
Yanagisawa's agent believes the Japanese international will choose
Chievo ahead of other potential suitors including Sampdoria.
"I think he will fit into Chievo's system, strategy, and club
environment perfectly," he said.
"A transfer to Chievo is the best option."
If a deal is struck, Yanagisawa will move to Chievo on a one-year loan
this summer, with the Italians also having the option to
sign the player permanently at the end of the contract.
