　【ウィーン＝石黒穣】日本と欧州連合（ＥＵ）が誘致を競っている国際熱核融合実験炉（ＩＴＥＲ）
について、ロイター通信は８日、ＥＵ筋の話として、日本が青森県六ヶ所村への誘致を断念し、
本体は仏カダラッシュに建設されると報じた。

France to Host Nuclear Fusion Project - EU Source

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - France will host a major global nuclear fusion project after
Japan gave up its bid to host the $12 billion International Thermonuclear Experimental
Reactor (ITER) in return for compensation, an EU source said on Monday.

France's Ministry for Research refused to comment on the news and said negotiations
were continuing.
"One has to remain extremely cautious," a source close to Research Minister Francois
d'Aubert said. "Negotiations are still ongoing and for the moment, they have not
been concluded."
