"Gentleman" made a debut at 12th in the Hot 100 two weeks ago and jumped to fifth last week.
But it plunged to 26th in the chart updated Wednesday.
"Gentleman" recorded 4.7 million in streaming downloads, down 66 percent from the previous week, according to the official magazine of Billboard.
Its ranking for Streaming Songs drops to sixth after two weeks at the top.
"Sales for 'Gentleman' also decreased by 50% to 36,000," added the oneline magazine, billboardbiz. "The song's 1.2 million in radio audience is not yet a significant factor in its chart fortunes, accounting for just 1% of its Hot 100 chart points."
The music video of Psy's new single drew more than 250 million hits on YouTube, but only the number of views in the U.S. is counted by Billboard.
Psy, whose Korean name is Park Jae-sang, arrived in the U.S. on April 25 in an effort to continue his popularity from last year's "Gangnam Style."
He visited Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles Tuesday to see South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin play for the Dodgers.
Psy plans to appear at NBC's "Today Show" to be broadcast live from New York on Friday.
