THESE are the gruesome first pictures of the man who had his face chewed off by a crazed “zombie” cannibal.

Homeless Ronald Poppo survived the attack and is now walking and talking
- but doctors have said he will remain in hospital to have his face reconstructed.

Druggie Rudy Eugene began gnawing him next to a main road in Miami last month before being shot dead by a policeman.

The attack has left his nose missing and the upper portion of his face covered in scabs and grafts.

Poppo, 65, has had his left eye removed but doctors hope to restore vision in the remaining one.
The resilient victim has previously survived being shot.
