It seems to me that there are two separate issues here. I am not counting the issues that include having to deal with the foreigner. Xenophobic behavior will just be ignored by me. Only ignorant people participate in that anyway.
The two issues I understand are this.
p2 is for regulating the access.
p2 has benefits of being able to keep your book marks online.
There are a lot of other things I have read, that I am less concerned about, for example: p2 is used for bypassing the regulations. <- Why would a manager want to allow that?
p2 is easy to get many accounts so that if you are banned, then you can go right back on using it. <- hmm why would a manager want to allow that?
p2 is cheap, any child can afford to have an account. <- hmm why would a manager of a bbs that is for only adults want that?
I have noticed a little less traffic by blocking the p2 traffic, but I follow many threads everyday. Just reading them and learning. I usually don't participate. I know people don't really like me because I am a foreigner. So I just follow them.
Most of the ones I follow, and I follow them on every server, have not been affected. It seems to me, that the people that are affected are the ones that were causing the trouble before.
