もうさ、端末開発なんか最初から投げちゃって、3G回線に絞って、SIMフリー端末を勝手に使えるようにして。

And the Nexus 7 32GB talk continues. We’ve known that a 32GB version is coming for a while now and it seems the release is even closer than expected.
Thanks to a listing on Staples Advantage, Staples’ e-commerce site for business users, the Nexus 7 32GB will not only be available October 18th, but also cost $250, not the $299 that was previously anticipated.
This is definitely an interesting move. As it stands and if this price proves to be the same across the board, that means the 32GB version will cost pretty much the same as the 16GB version.
Now that doesn’t make much sense, until you take a few things into consideration.
When Google originally launched the Nexus 7, the 8GB base model proved to be rather lacking to users, especially when you consider the software took up just over 2GB.
Still, there was the 16GB version, but people had already ordered the 8GB.
Google seems to have learned from this and realizes that the base model should have been 16GB while the step up should have been 32GB, what we’re about to see.
From the current pricing we’re seeing, it appears that Google could be phasing out the 8GB version to be replaced by the Nexus 7 16GB.
That would make the 16GB version $199 while the 32GB version will be $249 or around about.
This is just a theory at this point, but something tells me that Staples’ pricing is correct. And with an expected availability of October 18th, we’ll see it here very soon.
