The fixture, which England won 36-11, brought an average audience share of 33%
to BBC1 between 3pm and 4.45pm, according to unofficial overnight figures.
Full coverage of the match, including pre and post-game analysis, attracted an average of 3.7 million and a 28% share between 2pm and 4.50pm.
The following match, Ireland's win over France, drew 4.7 million viewers and a 24% share between 5pm and 7.05pm.
