Hello, nice to meet you. I`m here for more 2 years. And my english is improved a lot you know. I live in CA, and I have a lot of American friend. How about you? Did you English improved? Let`s talk to your story. I only use English since I came to USA. This is the key to improve English ability, yeah?
Oh,yeah >>1! A way is improving English only talking and writing English all time! I am in Unaited State for 3 years ago. Fast time I was this contry I can not use English nothing. But now I have no problemo my life in United State. Let's talk with you how we are good English!
>>4 Tensaku is OK. You can do it for me. But, you know, English is not always correct, but heart is important. Even if it's terrible, if its contents are great, then you can make yourself understand, you know.
>>6 Your English is awful. I don't understand even what you are trying to say. But your effort is to be admited. Good luck.
>>8 My English is not perfect, because I am Japanese. Grammer is important, but content is more important, you know. If contents are great, people understand broken English.
I like to introduce my way of studying English! You can do that of course.
First, you should throw English-Japanese dictionary away. Don't use them. There are many mistakes in it. And then, you will be able to understand English is English. I mean, as it is.
Talking to Native Speaker is the best way. Their English is alive. So, you should try it.
Kaori likes sucking my cock. She ricks it like she eats icecream. She only comes when she is on top. She loves ハメハメ with guys wiz blue eyes and nice butts. She doesn't like Asian men with tiny dicks espeially Jap. Oh yeah, Kaori, that's it. I'm coming!!!!!! ドピュ。

17 :working holiday in vancouver:03/11/28 08:21 ID:udZSzxJ2
in my opinion also the english teaching system in japan are no good. because teacher does not teach how to speak and how to express yourself good. it is important to read textbook but also important to speak withthe english speaker. thank you
>>13 Unfotunately, I don't like cooking. But icecream is my favorite food.
>>16>>17 I agree with you in total point. You can talk! Japan's teaching system are bad. I think so too. Japanese people's study is like only reading, and that's it, so it's not good. Speaking and listening are the most important for Japanese.
I have got good idea. Let's make this thread English conversation thread. I'm more 2 years old in USA, so I can teach you English!! This idea is great, right?? You can ask me everything you want to know. But you know, my English is still not perfect. But it's enough very good to live in USA.
hey my niggers, it's good news that >>1 teachs english for everyone of us, isn'it? she says "it's enough very good to live in USA." what a good luck she has! or a fucking ignorant she are! my question ? how can you be so sameless with such fuckin' great english skills, >>1?
>>20 This thread is not ill. But thank you complement. Many people says I'm interesting and bright and good!
>>23 Thank you correction. But you know, grammar mistake is not deeper, because you know the meaning! You don't have to afraid so much when you speak English. Let's try!
>>24 I don't understand what you saying. To say in correct English, you should study over again. Good luck.

>>27 What do you mean that? English is you know, the alive language so native speaker even make mistake. I mean I'm Japanese and live in USA more 2 years, so I can speak fruently, but not perfect yet. Well, but that doesn't matter, because I'm so high level.
>>29 I don't understand you. Grammar mistake is usual for native speaker, huh? My experience here more 2 years bring me comfidance in speak by English. So, you can try.
>>30 Speling and grammar are not important you know. Don't feel so upset, if you make ehort, your English will be improving, you know.
>>31 What are you saying? I don't know what are you taking about. Of course, I'm in USA and can speak English for shore. But you know, if you want a perfect English, your dream will never come true.
>>32 Grammar is not as impotant as you think. Because I studied grammar in junior high school and seniar high schoo, and here in language school. After I graduating language school, I wanna enter comunity colege and I wanna study ESL, you know. For example, novel prized people can make other people understand in their terible English, because novel prized people's talk's contents are awzam.
I don't know people say this thread is neta. I don't mean. I never this thread like that. Because I'm writing to tell important is the content, not grammar or vocavurary, you know. My English is satisficated by English native speaking friends. So, my English is not perfect but it's really great I mean.
I wanna enphasis the important is not surface, but the inside. I'm telling you, you know. If you have a horribe English ability, never mind. Some people laugh your poor English, but bright one never do that. Coz they are interesting of the content, not seeing your surfacial skil, you know. I'm confidant I can argue equal to American intelligent people.
Kaori, you know you are stupid, don't you? You know you have an air head. YOur English is crappy u know. u know. u know u know what i mean? mthrfkr!!!!!!oh YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>37 I'm not stupid. The person say to somebody stupid is stupid, you know. Didn't you learn it in elemental school? You had better go again. You know that I'm mean?
>>38 Your grammar is terible, but that's OK, because important is not surface, but contents. You know?
>>40 What do you mean? My English is so good? Thanx. But it's not perfect you know, I'm just straggling it, but native speaker even can not perfect, you know. You don't have to perfect, and you cannot perfect. Everione make mistake, that's wonderful, people will gain something from mistakes, you know.
Are you like study to English in America? I am here since 5 yrs and my english is quite good to buy the humburger. English of Kaori is looking pretty good like me. Keep study hard as hell. Oh i gatta go now. my nature is called. I almost pee on my pants!!!!!!! oops, too late. 欝だ氏脳。
Hey wassup Kaori!!!!! Do you know how cunt smelling? I love speak with your english, but my english is more good from you. I am not stupid you know. However, i suppose you do. I am a 17 year old and i live together with my gay friends.
>>41 Language is alive. Oral English and writing English are even same. There is some difference for sure, but you know, they are both alive. Language are alive. The important is not grammar, but the content. My English is enough understandable to native.
>>42 There you go. Important is to avoid hesitance. Nobody ask you perfect English, because we are Japanese, not native. Even natives makes mistake. Everyone make mistake. I'm in USA for more 2 years. I think 2 years and 8 month passed.
>>43 Oh no, my insistent is constant, not changed. Same. Did you read through? If not, you should. Everyday you use English, your English be impove.
45 名前:Kaori ◆SA9boye8Mk :03/11/28 16:01 ID:Sn/6m2tZ >>37 I'm not stupid. The person say to somebody stupid is stupid, you know. Didn't you learn it in elemental school? You had better go again. You know that I'm mean?
>>51 What are you mean? Nobody make mistake deribalate. My English is not perfect of course, you know, but NOBODY are perfect. That's what anybody know. NOONE can perfect, you know?
>>52 What are you saying? There are no point corection my English, because everybody understand it. But you are not wrong, but right in spesific point. Grammar is important, but not first place, right? Content is most important you know. You should need to know it, man.
>>57 You are wrong. Everybody make mistake. This is right. I'm say right. And, Japanese people are not native English speaker. This is right too. And you know, why we have to perfect? We never ever can perfect, you know. Nobody can perfect in whole universe. But we can make mistake, don't you think this is great? We can learn from mistake, you know.
>>59 You are wrong. I have a load of friend. I mean native English speaker friend, you know. But you for sure are correct, I don't wanna talk Japanese student, because I'm in USA, not Japan. If I talk Japanese people everyday and night in Japanese, my English never get good like this, you know. We have some hard time in life, we have to enduar.
>>64 No, I'm not practice English, but I'm here for teach you guys English, you know. I'm in USA more 2 years, so I can speak great English and I can teach it. Don't feel sad.
don't you need to study English grammer too? if you really want to speak good English, having friends and talk to them is not enough.at least you need to know correct English grammer also.
>>71 Yeah, I partly ugly with you. But you know, nobody are perfect. Everyone make mistake. You are making mistake, aren't you. If you say to me "You should study grammar", then I will say the same to you.
Do you know why I tell you that? To be honest with you, your English grammer is terrible. You never listen don't you? but most of people think so. What is the reason that you don't want to study English grammer so much? Why are you avoiding it? you sounds like that you really want to improve your English, and what you say is totally opposite from what you want.
Hello, Kaori. How are you? I have a question for you. I am studying biology right now. Can you tell me why people's faces with Down's Syndrome look similar? I wonder why.....
Oh one more question to ask, are they mentaly retarded just like you?
>>74 You should study grammar before you tell me. How many times I say, you will understand? Grammar mistake is trivia. You understands me, and I understand you. Even if our English is not perfect, you know? Why you think grammar is so important? Is your English have perfect grammar?
I have living America 3 year. Nice to meet you!!:) How was your thanks giving? mine? it was great! I and my host family ate huge Chikin! I ate 5 pieces!!oh dear... I'm more 2 years old in USA
After I graduating language school, I wanna enter comunity colege and I wanna study ESL, you know. という文があったのですが、彼女は語学学校卒業後の勉強目標が ESLということですか?
Kaori, u know what? Everybody hates you. You aren't worth to live on the earth. Think what you have to do and what you can do for people around you. I mean, why don't you go back your home?
"home"=where you were born and there are still lots of people living just like you called DQN.
If you got what i meant, you won't be here again.
I would repeat the most important thing you have to know,
Kaori, there is another idea for you; Either you can go back your home OR listen what other people say to you and do as they say OR try not to live any longer(lol). That will help people around you feel better.
Yes, you do hear what other people say, but you never listen them or do as they say to you either. See? That's why people keep saying かおりは人の話を聞かない. Don't you understand the difference between hear and listen? Well, you'd better go back to junior highschool or senior highschool you graduated and return them your certificates you've got. Because you haven't learned anything at school.
Why am I supposed to be said I am an 荒らし? I just gave you some ideas for your better life. I am not joking or either kidding. I am serious. Anywho, you are not smart enough to figure out what i say or even who you are.
It takes for a pretty long time for you to read such a poor English , huh? Take your time to read through what i wrote! I will wait for you until I get numb.
>295 Today, I get up 10:20 at the morning, I went downtown, I eat humbergers as lunch, then I met my friend. He is an American, you know, and very kind for me. Then, I went another my friend's house, and we played. They are very fun. I had wonderful time. I went home, and eat chocolate, you know. I love them very much. How about you?
>298 Non, non, I came by myself, I'm student of language school, now. It's femous for good English education. I wanna go community college's ESL course, after I graduating language school.

Ohh! Wots up everybody!? Have a cool weekend like mine? Kaori, I am studying homework now so hard. It is about Buisiness!! I hate buisiness too much!! Cuz it is so boring you know!?
Oh, by the way, Today, I went to eat Chinese food! It was very tasty. I ate Wontan Soup! Interesting! I ate Chinese Peking Duck too! This one is too growse! Oh my god! It's too late now! I have to go to school tommorow morning at 7:30! So, by by! I miss you too! See you soon!
I've never see such a silly board like this. Well, the director here seems to be struggling with other shits. Everyone has to come across so many mechanical errors, so I think we are not supposed to tease 1's mistakes. As she, Saori, says, if we can make ourselves understood in a deferent language, that would be alright. Grammer should come to the next to that. Everybody has defferent talents. Some have good ability to study and use English, and others don't. Someone like shits ,you have seen on this board, always see only knouledge and superficial abilities, and if one lacks them more than others do, the shits tease it. How stupid they are.
Kaori, u suck! ur english sucks! u think ur kinda "good at" english because uve been livin here for like couple of years, but that doesnt make any sense. im not those nerds studying english only by reading textbooks, im like u, studying in america. what im tryin to say is that ur grammars terrible.
what would u think if a guy from a country other than japan talks incomplete japanese to u? well, ud probably think this guys such a nut, especially when that guy thinks hes doin pretty good. ud go like" uh... may i correct ur japanese? (lol)" right? thats exactly how we (the people insultin u here) and maybe ur "so called" friends think about u.
if u launched this thread just to SHOW OFF ur (poor) english skills, u better stop it right here. u don want us keep teasin u anymore.
1) Japanese girls and women sleep readily with US Caucasian males, but 2) US Caucasian girls will not even look at a Japanese male, because he is a ‘Jap’ or a ‘Chinaman’ in their eyes. 3) Come to Hawaii (which I’m sure you probably have done at least one or twice) where Japanee girls are often seen with Caucasian males, sleeping with them, but there are virtually no Japanee/Oriental males seen with Caucasian girls. 4) Live in the US, where there are Caucasian girls who will call you a ‘chiink’ or point out your slanted eyes, right in front of you, and laugh to write home about it. 5) Watch all the abuse heaped on your kind, which I personally consider my kind as well, for I do not distinguish amongst any Asian, for they are the same kindred Asian, the same race, and the same people, even though the past and language barriers are real impediments. 6) During the late 1980’s and early 1990’s when this loco Hawaiian Kanaka Maole went to high school and college in NJ, there was a great deal of Japan bashing there, many Orientals (one Japanee, some Chinese, a few Koreans) were beat up because Japan’s auto industry was kicking the crap out of Detroit, and many auto parts suppliers in NJ were going bankrupt. Whether or not the dangerous threat was present at my high school for having driven a Japanese car, I didn’t give a hoot about the pro-USA#1 Detroit-all-the-way bullshit, and I still drove a Honda to school. 7) Look at all the Asians in the US, what the hell do they drive? It’s always a Toyota/Lexus/ Nissan/Infiniti/Honda/Acura/Mazda/Mitsubishi. It’s not just because they’re Japanese and that they’re good cars, it’s also because they’re Asian.
8) There are right wingers in the US who either deny that Hiroshima and Nagasaki had ever been bombed, claiming it was Japanese propaganda - a message to Russia to dissuade Communism - or there are those right wingers in the US who believe all of Japan should have been nuked out of existence, including parts of Korea if the Japanese evacuated to the peninsula. Besides, at Newark Int’l Airport in NJ in 2003, when I was leaving NJ for home, Hawaii, a Caucasian male (lame ass Italian descendent haole) hollered “Hiroshima!” at me and a group of Japanese arrivals off a Jal flight from Tokyo. Some food for thought, brother. 9) A movie (I cannot be recall the title at this time) starring Johnnie Depp involved a scene where a Japanese restaurant waiter had insisted on the removal of shoes while mob men sat at the table with their shoes on. One of the characters complained bitterly his uncle had died in WWII, and so the mob men beat the crap out of the Japanese waiter, showing a truly bloody and extremely racist scene, making pork chops out of the poor Japanese waiter while he retaliated with some weak Karate. There was blood all over the f-en floor, it was brute racism from Hollywood. Man brother, I wanted to go fetch a Samurai sword and go after the f-en screenplay writer or the director who let this racist crap onto the screen.
10) One of my good Japanese friends Shinya, who worked while I was a student at JFK Int’l Airport, remarked on how utterly different his expectations of the US turned out to be. He was a film student in NYC. I asked him if his expectations were unrealistic or set too high before he came to the US, he denied that, admitting there was an ‘anti-Asian/anti-Japanese’ bent to his film colleagues. I wasn’t surprised, since NYC is filled with pro-USA#1 idiots. 11) Read #1, #2, #5, and #6 bruddah (brother) again, and tell me if you genuinely feel that the US should be #1 forever. Unless you enjoy seeing your girls despise you and sleep with Caucasian males. May be you do enjoy that, if you’re a bisexual homosexual.
510 - 512: 1)White guys sleep with girls of all races. What can I say, it happens. But there are lots of instances of love. Is it so wrong for an asian girl to love a white guy? 2)I know alot of white girls. I'm half Japanese by the way. They don't hook up with them because the ones that are out of their sight are anti-social. Americans like social folk. It's always the pussies who are to afraid to approach a girl that says it's racism. 3)That's not entirely untrue. But a social asian guys do just fine with white girls. At least as long as they're not in a hick state like Kansas. There's also the issue of there being only 11 million asians in America(1 million of which are mixed race). As opposed to the 2/3 of America that are white. 4)I've been through middle school and high school in California, and never have seen what you just mentioned. And those girls that do that are generally not well-liked. I don't know if you're familiar with the term "stuck up bitches", which we use to describe their kind. 5)There is an unfair amount of racism to be sure. But I haven't been a witness to much. Of course, my state's population breakdown is kind of unusual in the US. And it's certainly helpful to open-minded people since there is no majority race in CA(biggest minority is white people with 48% of the population). 6)That was in the past though, a generation ago. Right now, it's almost unusual for me to see a person my age NOT driving an old beat up Honda Civic. And the only person I know that buy American car out of principal is a Mexican who came here illegally. 7)I know a few Koreans who only drive Korean. But as far as race goes, that's about it. People here, whatever the race, drive Japanese because those cars are cheap and reliable.
524 continued: 8)I'd like to see a link on those. Yeah, right wingers are conservative red-neck douchebags, but even they wouldn't make such a lie, unless they're KKK. The generally accepted theory on the use of the A-bombs is that a)we wanted to end the war swiftly b)we wanted to show the Soviets that post-war America was not to be messed with. I don't agree with the use of the A-bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Vaporizing a small uninhabited island near the Japanese mainland would've sent the same message. By the way, that white guy is a racist asshole. What can you do? In a country where peopel of all nations come to, there will always be assholes who can't keep up with the times. 9)I don't know that movie, so I can't comment. But it starred Johnnie Depp, so I'm sure it sucked ass.
10)Pro-US #1 idiots? Dude, what fucking country are you in again? Oh yeah, that's right, the USA! What do you expect? National pride is universal. If I went to Mexico and people there loved Mexico the most, would they be idiots or racists? Would a Japanese loving Japan the most be the same? It's patriotism. It's in every country in the world. Especially after 9/11, it's to be expected that there'd be heightened patriotism in NYC of all places. By the way, are you sure you're an American? Most Americans would know that it's the ideals of America that define patriotism, and not necessarily the current action of our dumbass president. Also, why the fuck was you're friend in NYC to study film? If you want to study film, you go to USC or UCLA.
11)The US won't be forevere. All empires fall, no matter how great or powerful. Unless we're suddenly attacked by aliens hell bent on anal probing every human alive and all humans unite under one banner, any single nation cannot exist forever. Regarding currently, I don't agree with the actions of Bush. It's so un-American. Attacking first? Raping and pillaging the constitution(most ironic law:the USA Patriot Act gives the federal gov't the right to ignore a citizens 4th, 5th and 6th amendment rights). Then there was that faux-paux where he tried to have his underlings give him control of the election date in case of an "emergency"(and I wonder who'd be behind THAT one? Bush has had his eye on Iran...) But as far as ideals go, I think the US does have one of the best. There is racism, but the vast majority get along just fine. Can you say that in Japan, where other races are looked down upon(and don't deny it, I've read some EXTREMELY racist stuff on this forum)? Or any other homogenous nation? Our racism exists because racists have no choice but to come out. In those other nations, they could stay hidden their whole lives because there are so few foreigners. Also, who someone sleeps with is their choice and business. Just because a certain person can't get laid, doesn't mean that society is wrong. It just means he's not trying hard enough to get on her "fuckable" side.

Brown held Iverson, LeBron James and Amare Stoudemire out of the game for showing up late to a pre-game meeting, a move that brought back memories of the six fractious seasons The Coach and The Answer spent together with the Philadelphia 76ers.
"They broke a team rule and we are a team," Brown said. "They paid the penalty. Nobody wanted to embarrass them, and now we're moving on."
Brown and Iverson have been down this road before. Their time together with the Sixers was riddled with disagreements, tardiness and a general lack of harmony. They claimed to have patched things up since Brown left after the 2003 season, but in their first significant reunion, there was trouble.
Excuse me, Guys!!! When you write english, the most important thing is to make sentence as simple and short as possible! It's very important especially if you are a beginner level of english writing.

You are all pathetic people who speak poor English but are waiting to critique someone else's faults.
Ah! How pathetic!
Don't you think I can see all through your bitter, pitiful minds? Now, point out mistakes I've made. The truth is, you know you can't satisfy your pride, which is high as hell without anything to back up, by putting down those of high-minded such as myself.

Not only is your English hopelessly poor, but you also lack vocabulary and general knowledge with common phrases. More than anything else, your writing makes you seem like a whore. Take this as my complement of the highest kind.
Do you understand the difference between "critique one's faults" and "correct one's grammatical mistakes"? I think not. Because you have such a poor sensation in language. When I used the phrase "critique one's faults," I meant being picky in someone's trivial mistakes in general, which is what you pigs do here all day long.
To answer your other inquisitions, phrases such as "poor English" and "high-minded" are all common phrases in the academic world, to which pigs like you obviously don't belong. Spend more time bettering your poor English, and come back to me, but not as a whore.
I see, your Japanese is poor, not in the way that you can't speak it, though it is still disgustingly shamefull, but in that you can't comprehend it when it's uttered from those of "high-minded" who are out of your reach. For once more, I have outsmarted you.
Now listen carefully, you douchebacherry whore. That my expressions sounded unnatural to you, a non-native speaker, doesn't make them more unnatural, but overwhelming. Though I do admit that they exceed the degree of uniqueness sometime, they were obviously beyond your grasp this time, not as a non-native speaker, but as a community college student.
But does it really matter? Is being obedient to the established phrases the way one must follow as a learner? For how many times I have seen people are discouraged from attempting their own way of expressing in this thread here, because of pigs like you!
hey, that's pretty impressive there! i can certainly see (read?) that you're very well educated. i'm sure you've also studied english very hard. actually, *for a japanese* i think your english is pretty good. that's a compliment, you know. so don't flame me,all right?
having said that, the sad thing is that you still sound *very* much like a foreigner, which is the problem we're talking about here... with all the awkward expressions and strange phrases that americans (educated or not) never use, you're telling us that you don't really speak (or write) english very well... you should loosen up a bit, you know?
sorry if i bursted your bubble, but you still have a lot to work on, dude!
>>750 Hey buddy, you just got fooled. You have to give your compliments to #740, not to that retarded highschool grad. Why? If you see #698's past posting behavior, you will notice the difference quite easily. Hint: take a close look at #740's user name again. The hidden message #740 is sending to us is so subtle, it is often overlooked --but it's still there to be found. FYI, it's a typical prank on this board, and I've seen this kind of jokes several times.
As for #740-1, not so sure, but these comments may have been written by a white guy with little self-esteem. When I first read his comments, I thought he was just another Japanese guy with good command of English. Sorry, I didn't think these comments were written by #698 himself even for one second because the aggressive mindset behind #740's writting was too different to match with our beloved loser #698. He has been extremely selfcentered on this board, but he was never obnoxious and aggressive like #740. Moreover, if #698's writing skill was in this level, he could've gotten a better score on TOEFL, particularly for the essay test. Keep in mind, TOEFL is just a test for non-native English speakers, and high scores can be achieved easily even if you are a Japanese bonghead. In fact I know quite a few people, including myself, who got a perfect score for essays. (and they are not bongheads!)
Anyhow, I thought #740's writing was pretty good for a Japanese person who grew up in Japan, except for a few typos. His writing skill was better than mine, I thought. But when I found one unfamiliar expression that perplexed me for a moment, I began to suspect a lot of expressions used in his writing were actually borrowed from somewhere other than his own vocabulary.
The phrase I had trouble with was this: "you douchebacherry whore." He (#740) made a typo that is so critical, that the whole trick behind his writing became clear to me. If real #698 sees this phrase, he probably won't understand what "douchebacherry" is. The correct wording the writer intended to spell is "douchebag cherry whore," and this is too demeaning an expression for any Japanese man to come up with. This derogatory sounds more like a phrase from a slang dictionary for spoiled college kids who waste the majority of their college life by partying. This is not a kind of phrase any educated Japanese man would ever use.
Also, notice 740's aggressiveness and bitterness towards women. I don't mean to be racial, but insulting women by calling them "whore" is a typical behavior of a whitetrash who can't establish healthy relationship with a woman. Had #740 be an educated Japanese man with this much vocabulary, he would've been wise enough to counter-argue #728's criticisms logically instead of wasting a great deal of time calling her a whore.
No matter who wrote #740, the real #698 must be feeling defeated by now.
If it was a white guy who wrote 740, his English is lame as hell. But I highly doubt it was someone from the States. The writing is too rigid for that.
No matter what you say, whether you believe that 740-741 were mine, I'm well satisfied, and am done with all this bull-shit here. For one thing, people don't get judged fairly here, and I've just proved that at first-hand. I will never listen to what people say to me here again. You are all so biased and arrogant when it comes to judging others.
Now let me advise those of you here who are learning English with honesty and integrity. Don't get discouraged. Don't lose your confidence. You are doing just fine. People here can be bitter, but they are not real, and in most cases they are compulsive posers! It's not surprising to find that their English is actually worse than yours.
With all this said, I’m a poser myself. After all, this is 2ch.
Wow, thanks a lot for the lengthy explanations and your analysis. (Hey, also I enjoyed your profiling of the guy=689 behind the computer screen. Taht was good.)
Actually I thought I was giving my compliments to the guy who posted #740... You know, he did identify himself as "698" when he posted the long ridged English post... Well, with all the anonymous posts, it tends to get difficult to keep track of who’s who, anyway. So, you think they are not the same person? Obviously I couldn’t tell...
>>756-758 続き・・ Actually I’m new to the North American Life forum of 2ch BB, though I had been lurking a while. As “698” said it eloquently, I’ve also already noticed that people (are they regular forumites?) in here are pretty mean - just too much hatred towards others in general. What’s wrong with these people anyway? Didn’t their mama breast feed them when they were little? Among all those forums on 2ch BB, the gender forum and North American Life forum are actually the worst, you know? (Don’t get me wrong, though, I’m not saying that I am an exception to that. I know that my comments in Japanese do sound mean to a degree, but that’s mostly due to my crude Kansai-ben dialect, you see.;-) I wouldn’t naively say “Can we all get along, please?” or some stupid stuff like that, but this forum is a harsh environment for anyone. That’s for sure...
The sad thing is, though, that all those who criticize others English don’t even post their criticisms in English, which is the whole purpose of this thread in the first place. Sure, this is such a harsh environment, and if you are to post anything in English, you’d better be prepared to be preyed by those lame sharks who are lurking to rip you apart... おーコワっ。
>>768 Hey Kansaijin-han, I'm back. First off, to answer your questions, 1. Yes, I'm a man. So feel free to call me nii-chan; 2. No, I was born and grew up in Japan; and 3. Yes, I went to college in the US and already got a degree. I was too old to go back to highschool by the time I arrive in the States, if you are curious.
Thanks for your compliments on my English. It's not that good, I guess my English is about average by my judgment, but it has been a useful tool for me to communicate with others. Nevertheless, I am still learning new vocabulary almost every day. There is no "good enough" line you can reach when you are learning foreign languages.
I agree with you somewhat in regards to hostility on this discussion board (2ch), but I want to say that most people here are usually nice. Sometimes you can find very useful information from this board as well. This particular thread --regardless of the initial intent-- is clearly meant to be a joke thread filled with a bunch of obvious mistakes in English. This thread is absolutely not intended for academic purposes whatsoever, as the error-filled title indicates. For ESL students though, I guess this thread may be more or less "educational," but this is a wrong place for someone who wants to learn English to hang out.
I think the noisy one has gone by now, so I'm going to write some of my opinions here.
The reason this thread has been messed up lately with much hostility is not because people on this board have been mean to someone, but there was someone who was mean to everyone. It all started when this person criticized a comment made by another poster who was trying to improve his English. I won't waste my time translating his abusive criticism, but his comment was arrogant to say the least, and he apparently wanted to impress others by claiming his superiority in English. He didn't provide us any evidence whatsoever to validate his comments at this point, however. From then on, he kept posting abusive comments targeting everyone but him. It was not us, but he was the one who refused to go along with this community. Technically speaking, he's just a flamebait who's waiting for others to be upset and respond.
It was easy for me to picture the characteristics of this poster with his own remarks. He thinks that: people who can't speak/write English are losers; all community college students are losers; he has rights to look down gay and mental patients; he has rights to call women "whore"; and his English is perfect. Simply put, his perspective is too narrow to treat others fairly without a bias. He might say he was "posing," but writing tends to reveals one's personality from inside. It was easy to find a twisted and mean-spirited individual behind his passive-aggressive comments.
I wrote #756-758 hoping that the person who wrote #740 was not Japanese. The use of a series of profanities was degrading our race, had it been the case. At the same time, I was actually curious how he would react if I profile him a "white guy" and give him some credit for "good command of English." The bait was set in front of his nose, and he ate it.
As I anticipated, he ate the bait I set up, despite the fact I wrote #756-758 for #750 (Kansaijin-san). It proved that he was in fact an egocentric attention-seeker who thinks everyone's comments are here for him. What was striking to me, however, was the fact that his writing in #767 was unbearably plane and dull. It was filled with such corny phrases and sentences as "with honesty and integrity" and "Don't lose your confidence. You are doing just fine." Boring! I didn't find the same level of creativity and uniqueness as he demonstrated in #740-741, even if many of the phrases in his earlier comment were borrowed. His writing went back to the level of #723, for which he was made fun of.
What this inconsistency in his writing skill tells us is that his writing shines only when he is to write hostile, abusive comments to discredit others with malicious intent. It is unfortunate that he cannot write an interesting paragraph that delivers something more profound than verbal abuses.
Fathermore, to understand why #698 has no authority on this board and why his words to others bear no significance, I must point out that one must earn respect before s/he become a mentor to others. I don't have to explain how obnoxiously he has been behaving on this board. Do I want to listen to someone who brags how good his English is? I don't think so.
It was funny to find him making excuses for not being able to get a perfect score on TOEFL. As I wrote, it doesn't really matter how good you do on a test for non-English speakers. What really matters in real life is what you can deliver to others using English as a communication tool.
By the way, if you want to verify #698's excellence in English, here is what you can do when you have time to kill:
1. go to google.com 2. search each of the following (DO NOT remove the double quotes): "critique one's faults"; "critique your faults"; "critique my faults"; "critique his faults"; "critique her faults"; "critique their faults"; and "critique Jose's faults" 3. add up the numbers of hits 4. laugh your ass off
Probably #698 hasn't realized it yet, but by desperately seeking recognition for his "perfect" English, he has been making himself a clown. If you want to be recognized, you just need to move up, right? Hanging around in this not-so-academic thread and showing off a bunch of abusive expressions is not what a person with self-esteem would do to prove himself. Of course he can be above others if the rest of people here are ESL students. What's the point?
When I arrived in the States, I wasn't able to speak, read or write in English. I thought it was going to be a long way to become able to communicate with others in English. Because of what I went through, I understand how difficult it can be to learn English. No one bears rights to discourage and make fun of others who are trying to improve his language skills.
As I wrote, English is just a tool to communicate with others. What matters most is what is delivered with that tool. Suppose English is a frame for paintings. A picture frame itself doesn't have any value unless there is a picture or painting in it. A frame can't inspire others or move viewer's mind without a content to display. If you have an expensive picture frame that you think is perfect, good for you. Maybe it will help your painting look better. On the other hand, even if Picasso didn't have a perfect picture frame, the value of his paintings won't change.
I must express sorry if there is someone who has a decent picture frame, but all he has to show are offensive materials.
Hey guys, how are you doing? I'm just here to write a few things that poped into my head, as i reread this thread. A year and half ago, I created this thread and hoped that it would be useful for everyone who wanted to improve their English. but actualy and unfortunatuly it turned out to be a piece of crap. Everytime someone post here in English, you guys critisize and make fun of it, which is totaly the opposite from what I wanted you guys to do. Maybe it's just the way it has to be, thinking that where I'm here is 2ch, but ,,, mendokusaku nata, kasudomo kiero unko
Hey guys, please help me. Now, I ma really concerning about "that" which is relative pronoun. My American friends seem like don care about it, but for me, it's a big problem caz one of my prof said "you have to keep notice about it". However, the other said "you have to put "that" to make complete sentence". Which is the best way to satisfy them? What is true? Teach me "eroihito" plz.
im not sure, but i think dropping "that" is used in the informal situation. maybe some of your professors want you to use formal language and others don care about that, or you are mixing adjective clause and noun clause. if you don know whether you need "that" or not, then you should use it. your language will be too formal for friends, but it is collect anyway.
You are all pathetic people who speak poor English but are waiting to critique someone else's faults.

>>820 hey, calm down a little, buddy. it's ok not to be able to speak the PERFECT english. nobody does here in the US anyways. but i agree. i don't like it either when people use that as an excuse when they make mistakes while flaunting their "improved" English skills. and yes. that is pathetic. i totally see your point.
however, this forum was supposed to be a place to encourage those who are working hard to improve their English skills, not to pick on them of the simplest mistakes they make. so don't be too harsh on people. like your mama told you when you were little, "do to others what you want them to do for you" or whatever it's phrased. you know what i mean.
and by the way, you asked me to point out the mistakes you've made. so i'll tell you, it's supposed to be "to criticize" instead of "to critique." cause critique is a noun, not a verb (i know you've realized that by now).
see? you're not even in the position to call everyone pigs. and i assure you. i'm not one, and neither is anyone in this forum.

Hello, nice to meet you. I`m here for 2 more years, and my English has improved a lot.. I live in CA and I have a lot of American friends. How about you? Did your English improve? Let`s talk about your story. I have only started talking English since I came to the USA. This is the key to improve English ability, yeah?
In a casual situation, it really does not matter if you have bad grammar or spelling, because we can usually understand it anyway. Besides, I know some actual Americans who have English skills that are worse than you guys'.
really, the thing about America is that...we only speak english. In almost another country you will find that the natives will encourage through there schools to teach other languages. Really in Europe a lot.
>>876 I don't know if you're still reading this thread, but I wonder why you think that way... Any particular reason?? According to Census statistics, many Asian-America women marry to white men, anyway. Just out of curiosity....
I really don't understand why this thread is still alive... No one is posting anything meaningful or worth reading. People are posting crap after crap...
