Death before deportation

A Japanese woman awaiting deportation hanged herself Tuesday night
in a holding cell at O'Hare Airport, officials said.
Authorities believe 39-year-old Ayumi Hayashida was traveling to
Cincinnati to visit her boyfriend, but was taken into federal
custody because she had overstayed a previous visit to
the United States.
