Korean Freighter Sunk, Leaving All 16 Sailors Missing

A Korean freighter was sunk in a collision with a Chinese freighter in waters off Yantai,
Shandong Province, at around 3 a.m. Saturday, leaving 16 sailors aboard the ships missing,
news reports said.

The Korean freighter is identified as the Golden Rose, and the Chinese freighter the Jinseng
belonging to Lupeng Shipping Co. registered with Shandong Province, China, Xinhua News
Agency reported.

The missing are not immediately identified.
