I've been living in th U.S. for the past 8 years. I don't have
a right to vote or a duty for jury, because I'm not a U.S. citizen.
To me it's very obvious. This is not due to discrimination but
simply a matter of nationality. I don't quite understand why you
associate the issue of suffrage for Korean residents in Japan with
discrimination. This has nothing to do with discrimination. Any
American can understand that, which is why I doubt your claim that
you are American. You sound more like a kind of irrational Japanese
whom I often find in the letter to editor section of the Asahi
Shinbun.
