Bethesda Comments On The Scrolls Case Against Minecraft Creator

Bethesda has for the first time publicly commented on the legal issue against Minecraft creator Marcus 'Notch' Persson and his company's upcoming game "Scrolls".
Pete Hines, Bethesda VP said in an interview with Kotaku today,
"This is a business matter based on how trademark law works and it will continue to be dealt with by lawyers who understand it, not by me or our developers.

"Nobody here enjoys being forced into this. Hopefully it will all be resolved soon."

While Bethesda are still quite refrained from going into too much detail,
Persson has been very vocal and going on record to say that his studio has tried find a resolution with the developers, unfortunately to no success.

"We offered several different solutions, like us not getting the trademark,
and us not using the word 'Scrolls' in its raw form, but as part of a longer title. [ZeniMax] repeatedly refused, demanding we stop using the word 'Scrolls'," said Persson.

Hines has added that there is more to this case then just what Mojang are discussing publicly,
"Mojang's public comments have not given a complete picture as it relates to their filings, our trademarks, or events that have taken place."
