If rumours on the internet are to be believed, the iPhone 6 will take the smartphone to new heights next spring. Though details are sketchy, experts are guessing that the device will be even thinner and lighter than the yet unreleased iPhone 5. The guesswork on the internet is centred on the internal specs of the phone; the details about what the phone will really look like haven’t really entered the conversation yet. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Apple has been experimenting with features such as a new way of charging the phone. If that is indeed true, users just may be able to charge the next generation iPhone wirelessly, quite like the HTC Pre that runs on the Touchstone wireless charging system. The Pre uses inductive charging to charge the battery of the phone without plugging it in, noted 9to5Mac.com. According to TUAW , Apple’s desire to move it’s devices from iTunes to iCloud goes hand in hand with the concept of charging the devices wirelessly. If the company manages to pull off the wireless charging feature, the iPhone 6 will indeed be Apple’s smartest phone yet. Another rumour that promises to make the iPhone 6 a machine to reckon with is one circulating about the A6 chip. Apparently, TSMC and not Samsung will be manufacturing the chip that will make the iPhone 6 a faster, smarter device. The iPhone 6 will supposedly sport an LCD screen designed by Sharp that is made using a low-temperature poly-silicon liquid crystal. The revamped display will offer an easy to use interface, a thinner, lighter device and a prolonged battery life. With all its rumours, the iPhone 6 sounds like a dream device. As Apple is usually tight-lipped about its innovations, the world will have to be satisfied by a steady stream of rumours till the official unveiling of the phone, hopefully in spring 2012.
