ソニー・エリクソンがXperia PlayをVerizonに供給へ　auと同じCDMA2000採用キャリア

As we reported, Sony Ericsson will be introducing the Xperia Play on February 13th. That, of course, is the day before the start of the
MWC in Barcelona. From the beginning when the device was a mere concept, to today's pictures showing a side sliding game
controller, video game players have been over eager to get this device in their hands.

Because the phone has yet to be introduced, it is unknown which carrier will be launching the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, but Wirefly
might have given away the answer to this mystery. In a comparison chart that shows the specs of the AppleiPhone 4 vs. the Xperia
Play, it lists Verizon as being the carrier for the Sony Ericsson handset.

Verizon customers could have a tough choice to make. After all, the Xperia Play is no slouch when it comes to specs. The phone will
come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread installed right out of the box. A 4 inch LCD display weighs in with resolution at 480 x 854, and
there is a front-facing camera. Of course, you can't forget that slide-sliding game controller that has game players excited.

Is Wirefly's intelligence correct? By Sunday evening, we should know. Sony Ericsson has had its troubles finding a carrier to subsidize
its smartphones in the U.S., but because the Xperia Play is so unique, the joint-venture does have a good shot at getting a major U.S.
carrier to sign on the dotted line.

総務省の技術基準適合証明又は工事設計認証を2010年12月に通過した端末が公示された。

au by KDDI向けと思われるSony Ericsson製のCDMA2000端末AAH-5880013-BVがTELECを通過していることが判明した。
AAH-5880013-BVはTELECを通過している。

“第2条第11号に規定する特定無線設備”“第2条第11号の4に規定する特定無線設備”“第2条第11号の8に規定する特定無線設備”の認証の詳細を
見ると、CDMA2000(1x EV-DO) 2100/N800/800 MHzに対応していることが分かり、au向けの端末であることも分かる。
ただ、“第2条第11号の8に規定する特定無線設備”の無線種別では通過していないのでWIN HIGH SPEED(EV-DO マルチキャリア)には対応しないようである。

Bluetoothや無線LANの周波数でも通過している。
無線LANは2.4GHz帯のみ対応となる。
Sony Ericsson製端末はWIN HIGH SPEED対応端末が多いにも関わらず、AAH-5880013-BVはWIN HIGH SPPEDに非対応ということは
フィーチャーフォンではなくスマートフォンになったからでしょうか。

もう一つ不思議なことに、au向けのSony Ericsson製端末は今までは“PTX”から始まるメーカー型番で通過していたが、今回は海外端末を
含めたSony Ericsson製の全端末に与えられるType Numberで通過している。
実は、NTT docomo向けの端末もフィーチャーフォンは“PTX”から始まるメーカー型番で通過していたのであるが、スマートフォンは
Type Numberで通過するようになっている。
AAH-5880013-BVはSony Ericcsson製のau向けスマートフォンと考えて間違いないでしょう。
Typr Numberで通過した後には製造型番でもTELECを通過するのでしょう。
製造型番は不明であるが、CDMA SOI11とかいなるのでしょうか。
実は、以前からXperia arcベースの国内特化端末が2機種登場するとの情報を頂いており、片方がNTT docomo向けでもう片方が
このAAH-5880013-BVになるようである。
