Seven Shot, Four Killed in Downtown Buffalo Shooting August 14, 2010 BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Seven people were shot, four fatally, after a fight at a downtown Buffalo restaurant spilled into the street where multiple shots were fired, police said. At least 50 emergency vehicles responded to the scene, including dozens of Buffalo police officers and Transit Police. The call came it at 2:30 a.m. from the 200 block of Main Street where as many as 100 people were attending a formal party at City Grill restaurant, said Buffalo police spokesman Michael DeGeorge. Three bodies could be seen at various locations on the block. Four other victims were rushed to local hospitals, where one additional victim was pronounced dead. Of the three survivors, one is in very critical condition, DeGeorge said. Two of the injured are male. The third is female. Among the dead was a Texas man who witnesses say arrived in Buffalo on Friday and was going to be married on Saturday. One of the deceased is female, police officials confirmed. Those who attended the party told Eyewitness News that it was a formal affair to celebrate a wedding, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon. Eyewitness News will have the latest throughout the day on this developing story.
