Bridge House Stud stallion Six Sense dies

BRIDGE House Stud in County Westmeath has been dealt a huge blow
by the death of two of its stallions in recent months.

Six Sense, who became the first son of Sunday Silence to stand in Ireland
when imported from Japan for the 2009 season, was put down in January after breaking a leg. He was eight.

Out of the Prix d'Astarte-winning Danehill mare Daneskaya, Six Sense won two of his 14 starts
and ran second to Deep Impact in the Group 1 Satsuki Sho and to Ouija Board in the Hong Kong Vase.

Six Sense, who had previously stood at Lex Stud in Japan, was one of two sons of
Sunday Silence who stood their first seasons in Britain and Ireland last year.

Vita Rosa, who joined the Lanwades Stud roster for 2009, has been transferred to Italy,
leaving no Sunday Silence sons at stud in Britain and Ireland this year.

Six Sense was advertised at a fee of ?4,500 last year and covered around 17 mares.

His stud mate Match Point, a Brazilian-bred son of Royal Academy who finished first
past the post in a Grade 1 race in South America, is reported as having died in December.

Derby third Let The Lion Roar, a Sadler's Wells half-brother to Millenary whose first crop
are two-year-olds this year, still stands at Bridge House Stud, with his fee on application.
