日本の新聞記事、外国では「ソースなし」扱い

日本語以外の言語では、誰が「明らかに」したのかが重大な問題となる。
そこで、この記事に基づくＡＦＰ（フランスの通信社）の記事を読んでみよう。特に太字部分に注目。

"Shinzo Abe, the front-runner to be Japan's next prime minister, is considering setting up a spy organisation similar to the US's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), a report says.

　これらの報道について、「日刊ベリタ」の鳥居英晴記者は、「時事英語一口メモ　【１１】インテリジェンスとは何か」という記事で、次のように解説している。
『産経の記事には、情報の出所が示されていない。国際的に通用する英文記事には必ず情報の出所（attribution）が明示される。ＡＦＰが“without giving its sources”
という句をわざわざ入れたのはそのためである。』
