I produced a libertines record, and I played guitar
because one of the guitarists was missing on the day
we did the basic track so I had to play the guitar
because he wasn’t there and that ended up being used on the record.
Literally that day I was standing behind the desk playing the guitar through the POD,
thinking that this will never make it.
This is just for now to cover my tracks while the band are laying the track down
and that ended up being the intro to the record.
Which track?
Two of them actually. Don’t look back into the sun
and death on the stairs,
the single I did on both tracks on the final day of mixing
nobody else was going to play the guitar and it was there so...
I don’t think when you listen to the track you hear a little digital box
you just hear some rock and roll guitar band.
