Has been a while since last post now, so I thought I'd post one now with what I can think of. Reason it's been kinda dead here is that we aren't doing much other than beta testing at the moment, and it's kinda weird to another post saying "We're still beta testing and now we only have X bugs left". We have added some functionality requested by the beta team while testing though, and I thought I could mention them here.
eAi exchanged the health bar of CJ with a green health bar representing the vehicle health. Also he put health bars over other players with their vehicle healths.
I've made races without checkpoints work. Then you can ask, what's the point of races without checkpoints? Well, it's to hang around to create races or do different kind of stuff with different kind of vehicles. There's something more to that not mentioned yet that will stay as a surprise when released.
eAi has removed all AI controlled parts of the game like planes flying by time to time, parked cars, trains, trams, firetrucks and SAM sites. We might take a look at syncing them later, but at the moment they are removed to prevent unfair and weird situations.
I put the voting system in serverside and now that works very nicely with status messages in chat telling who started it and whether it passed or was cancelled.
eAi and I put an option to specify weather and time in each .race file so you can have a night race at 03:00 if you want in foggy weather. If no weather is specified, it defaults to 12:00 sunny. We had some fun with weather ID 49 turning into red hell at certain hours of the day (unable to see much), so some weather types that were probably never intended to be used by Rockstar Games are disabled. Have to screen that later, it was really funny.
eAi put these "bip" sounds into the checkpoints and that "mission complete" tune when you finish it.
All skills are maxed now, to get better vehicles and to prevent these "skill upgraded" messages.
That was a quick summary of what we've implemented since the beta started. Might've forgot some things though. The last feature is probably the best, but it's secret until release. We don't want to spoil everything .
