Skier Satoya to be questioned over nightclub sex brawl
TOKYO ― The Ski Association of Japan said Thursday it will be taking a statement
from moguls skier Tae Satoya, who is alleged to have caused a bar brawl last month,
and her company Fuji Television Network Inc.
Satoya, 28, was taken into police custody in Tokyo on Feb 8 after the Nagano Winter
Olympics gold medalist visited a nightclub in Roppongi with her private coach, where
she got drunk and attacked a security guard and police officials. A weekly magazine
that went on sale Thursday reported that a screaming Satoya threw glasses, kicked
tables and chairs, and ended up injuring a bar staffer when he tried to stop her from
engaging in sex with a man on the sofa in the VIP room. (Kyodo News)
