Kazuhiro Tanaka, Mai Nguyen, and Nima Afshar falsified results and data,
according to the ORI's report. The three scientists have entered into
a voluntary agreement after the results of the investigations.

Tanaka, former visiting postdoc molecular biology fellow at the National
Institutes of Health (NIH), reportedly falsified data in three published
papers, including experimental results where he reported false
experimental conditions. His research was supported by the National
Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the NIH.

この不正を働いた日本人MD、PhDの先生は九大医学部出身で今は鹿児島の病院
で働いているそうです。これで罰則はアメリカ政府からのグラントは３年間受
けれないだけです。もちろん、アメリカにいたら、科学界から抹殺ですが、
この先生は３報の論文のおかげで今のポジションを取ったとしても、もう研究
をやっていませんから、痛くも痒くもありません。こんな悪い人がお医者さん
やっていていいのでしょうか。せめて医学界からも追放していただかないと不
正やり得（見つからなきゃさらにOKだし）になってしまいます。
