I am a NIKE-fan in Japan. I have a matter that I want to tell you one way or another. Since I'm not good at writing in English, I'd like to send you a copy of the following message speaking for my opinion. I think NIKE USA should notice that a lot of Japanese feel like in the following way. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Now let me protest against the NIKE headquarters since my (our) protest against NIKE Japan has been almost completely disregarded and I (we) experienced a very careless and unwilling treatment. What has been going on so far is that: NIKE Japan have detemined to use Akiyama, a martial art player, on its commercial which is to be appeared in February. I was very surprised to hear this determination since Akiyama had done contemptible trick in a martial art match and now have a fixed image of the dirty player. Then, my protest is that: I never do think that Akiyama is suitable as the commercial character of NIKE products. I cannot stand to watch Akiyama, the logo of NIKE, and the phrase "Just do it." at the same time on TV. It is extremely unpleasant for me (us). I believe that "Just do it." never do mean "You can even do contemptible trick!". I strongly would like to you to stop showing the CM sooner or later consideration.
